Zone Of Interest Review
Tumblr media
I was surprised my theater got this. The only thing I knew about it before it arrived was that it was nominated for best picture. When we finally got it in, I learned what it was about and I got worried. I thought the movie was gonna ask us to sympathize with the Nazis because they felt really really bad about all the genocide.
What's The Movie About?
The movie follows the director of Auschwitz and his family as they live next to the worst of the crimes against humanity ever committed.
What I Like.
The cinematography was slick. It had a very stark staging that leaves the audience detached from the characters and kind of reminded me of a Paranormal Activity movie. There were a couple sequences as well that looked neat because they inverted the colors. And they didn't ask me to sympathize with a Nazi, that's good.
What I Didn't Like.
NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENS IN THIS MOVIE. Seriously. It's pretty much just simple mundanity from back to front. It's supposed to show the detachment from reality all the characters have, specifically from Auschwitz, but you can do that in so much more entertaining ways. This movie is just following boring German small talk which could have a creepy double meaning to it, but the filmmakers do nothing to make the conversations interesting. Also, I kinda hate the production design. It might just be because of the time period, but both the parents have the dumbest haircuts ever and the house they lived in looked weirdly modern to me. There's some implications of horrible things happening but it barely distracts from the fact that the most dramatic thing that happens is the dad moves away for like a month. Also, I don't care about anything that happens to these people because they are unrepentant Nazis.
Final Summation.
Oh my god this movie is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGGGGGGG. If this wins best picture I'm taking it as a sign that the Academy is truly beyond help and needs to be excised from society with a red-hot knife.
Y'know what would've been a really cool idea? If they made a typical family drama. Like imagine if it went typical all American (Well, German in this case) family. Dad's strict because his work stresses him out, Mom is caring but neglected, there's a teenager working through puberty, one precocious child and one mischievous one. The plot can be something about the Mom thinking the Dad is cheating on her (I mean, he is in the actual movie. I didn't mention it because it is random and doesn't connect to anything. And it's boring.) and is trying to catch him or maybe one of the kids is sneaking out at night and the parents try to figure out why. An obnoxious relative needs to stay over and the family has to deal. Just any average life plot that could be entertaining, and still keep the house next to Auschwitz and all the background details that entails. That would really drive the point home, and leave the audience with some complex feelings about characters if you get them invested in their struggles. That'd be a movie to win best picture.

GET TO KNOW YOU
Thank you for the tag lovely @energievie & @suzy-queued & @gardenerian & @metalheadmickey & @celestialmickey 🥹💖✨
1. Are you named after anyone?
My mom named me Larisa after a half Latvian-half Ukrainian ballerina she went to school with who was "the kindest girl I've ever known".
2. When was the last time you cried?
About 15 minutes ago. My girl had a big, upset cry this morning before school and was so despondent, which of course had me crying with her. She's just frustrated because it's been 6 months that I can't walk (spinal surgery in 20 days and I'll be walking again by April) and it's been a really hard time for her, especially since I'm her only parent. (Today is also the 8yr anniversary of me falling into a surprise coma from kidney failure so today is an emotionally shaky day for me anyway.)
3. Do you have kids?
My love, my life, my everything! She's 9, in 4th grade, and just tested into 11th grade/high school junior level reading comprehension & 6th grade math. She's a star soccer player at her level in the Illinois Women's League of soccer, voted by her class to represent her grade in the School Leadership Committee. She's welcoming, kind, vivacious, silly, and totally self-expressed and free. She's cooler than anyone I've ever known!
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Always. Me and my kid speak in sarcasm to each other lol. She had to learn fast.
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their smile or lack of smile, how genuine in seems etc.
6. What’s your eye color?
Grey-blue with yellow-hazel around the pupil.
7. Scary movie or happy ending?
I collect horror movies! Talk horror movies to me day and night please!
8. Any special talents?
Hmmm. . .I usually remember the lyrics to most songs if I've heard the song three times. Does that count? I'm very good at remembering lyrics, I think probably from my musical theater days. OH. Remembering peoples' astrological signs LOL
9. Where were you born?
Northern Illinois!
10. What are your hobbies?
Reading, writing, music! I played in orchestra for much of my life, then was a musical theater major, singing, karaoke. Hiking, camping, fishing. Makeup artistry, uhhh I used to be a personal shopper so I'm very invested in fashion (not particularly wearing the trends, but I like fashion blogs & stuff). HORROR! All things horror and macabre!
11. Do you have any pets?
Two cats, Rogue and Zibah. My other two kitties recently passed away, Noel & Holly.
12. What sports do you play/have you played?
I played soccer from age 4-18. I was on my school team's soccer and volleyball team, but I stopped volleyball after I ripped my hamstring during a game.
13. How tall are you?
5'8 / 173cm
14. Favorite subject in school?
I actually removed my high school lunch period so I could take every single literature class my high school had to offer. I just would rather take a Lit class than eat LOL
15. Dream job?
Writer! I would love to be a writer.

YOU. [I am holding a sign at you. Uhh, it says, "you", but has a lil sticker of Cyno at the bottom. It's less threatening than an emoji, but it does in a pinch.] Talk about Hope Estheim! What do you love about him? What is his family life like? How does he perceive his destiny?
Tumblr media
//Such a SNEAKY question! That scared me!
Gushy time huh? VERY WELL!
Tumblr media
Hope Estheim is a character who was capable of single-handledly getting me invested in a game as questionable and flawed as FFXIII was. It was the dark ages of the series (ever since Square and Enix merged, all of the main titles were cursed in some form), and I was already disillusioned by the game as a whole. I played for collector's sake, and was uninvested in the main character. The Prologue being a step-by-step copy-paste of FFVII's beginning didn't help either.
But then came Hope, and he absolutely captured me! For JRPGs, it was incredibly surprising and refreshing to see a real child character who was not a miniature adult, or a prodigy of some form. This kid absolutely starts from rock bottom in nearly every way, and character growth is a thing I am a total sucker for.
To see him fall into the darkest of traumas, to then slowly stumble his way out of a hole of depression and resentment throughout the game was an absolute delight that to me honestly made the whole thing.
It is... perhaps unsurprising then that I absolutely cannot remember a damn thing about the plot after Hope's character arc wraps up, honestly? My heart tuned out once they returned to Cocoon. I remember nothing past the car racing track raid where Hope shows off with Alexander.
But that's what it boils down to: Hope is a realistic child character, which is a shockingly underrepresented category in videogames (JRPGs are especially guilty of this, with their obsession to write very young teenagers as adult-minded superheroes most of the time) and I am proud of his progress.
What is his family life like? How does he perceive his destiny?
These questions honestly need no headcanons! They are both explored in excellent detail in the game and part of what makes him such an interesting lil bean. Hope's story begins with him witnessing his mother's death, and on top of that, his relationship with his father is skewed and resentful. If I have a critique about that, honestly, I feel the father/son arc could've been extended and expanded upon a little bit. But it is also realistic (and honestly rarely seen in fiction) for it to boil down to the kid having a misguided impression of his parent, only to open his eyes to the truth after the two are forced to bond over their shared loss.
I am not stopping at blood ties either. I think Hope's most interesting dynamics are with Lightning and Snow, who both develop as familial figures to him over time (Light's attachment to Hope honestly saved the character in my opinion. I love their bond.).
Also elaborated on is his perception of his 'destiny', this is something that all members of the player's party go through actually, and probably the focal core of FFXIII's plot. To suddenly be branded as a L'Cie, becoming the enemy of one's own home. Like everyone else, Hope struggles with this new reality and has to come to terms with the inescapability of his fate. That is SO MUCH to ask of a kid his age. It is honestly surprising he didn't go mad... though there are moments where he almost did.
I could say more but I strongly encourage you to pick up the game or watch the playthrough as a movie sometimes~ I think it is worth it!

Agents of SHIELD season 2 thoughts
Finally finished with agents of shield season 2 and ahhh I think I'm falling in love with this series. It's definitely a good and strong season. Imma divide my thoughts into two parts and ramble my way through in each part
Plot
I think season 2 has a much stronger plot than season 1
This season's plot revolves around a single character Skye and I don't think there is any question about that. Every plot thread comes back to her and boy do I love it.
It is so common and so standard for a man to be the main protagonist and be in the eye of the storm of a story that things like the Bechdel test exist. (Bechdel test asks whether a story has two named women talk to each other about something other than a man.)
See, it is so ridiculous that whether a story has two named women talk to each other about something other than a man is a question. It was so standard for woman to be the background noise that I was pleasantly surprised that in season 1 Skye seems to be the protagonist that represents the viewer's perspective.
And somehow in season 2 the production and writers make Skye, an canon half-Chinese girl be the focus of the story.
That is a rarely seen breathe of fresh air and I loved every second of it.
I think this season can be roughly broken down into three arcs: the alien writing was actually a 3d city/Skye getting her power and two shield/showdown between inhumans and shield
It is very clever of the writers to layer their story in this way because let's face it, 22 episodes are a LOT for a single story. If they put in too much filler/ irrelavent episodes, the show will feel very tiresome and boring to watch
These arcs were also very much linked and intertwined together. each arc progress into the next seamlessly and I love that very much
It is also very satisfying to see a lot of the questions be answered step by step, and they really tried to give a logical reasoning behind the stroy.
I was pleasantly surprised that the show answered the questions about Coulson's impulsive writing in the early episodes of the season when I thought they'd for sure drag this mystry on and on for many episodes
I was truly invested when Skye gradually discovered and learned to control her powers. The introduction of her parents didn't feel forced and both parents contributed to how the story progressed.
It also answered the question of why is Skye an orphan and why she is an 084 quite nicely
The final arc is probably the most questionable out of the three? Because I still think Skye's mom has some good points and I still think they probably wrote her mom to be more evil than she needs to be to have a intense finale.
Overall I think the plotting of this season is pretty crazy and pretty logical at the same time, which is ideal for a show like this. It keeps the viewers engaged without seems all over the place or have too many loopholes.
The questions that I had after season 1 have all been answered now and that's very satisfying for me
Characters
Skye
She transitioned from the new girl in a big organization to a superhero in this season and I was in awe during the whole process.
Like I said earlier, she for sure is the star of this season. The obelisk and the alien writing plot lead the team to the temple where Skye got her power. The main villian of the first half, Whitehall, was the man who tortured Skye's mom. May's background story was about two inhumans. The alien/Skye related plot made two shield fight each other and the final boss villain of the season is Skye's mom
Almost every plot leads right to her heritage, her powers and her growth.
I really, really love this.
I never got into marvel movies because I've seen fans defending the franchise by claiming things like "half of the mcu movies passed the Bechdel test" and it's a good/positive thing.
But guess what? I don't think that's good enough. Or at least i don't want to settle for movies that focuses solely on male characters
I love myself some strong women characters and Skye is a very good example of that.
At the beginning of the season I was cheering for her sliding down a rope and at the end of the season I think of her as one of the strongest fighter in shield(when she uses her power, of course).
I think the writers make her grow without making it seems abrupt or too sudden. She acquired the ability to fight well during the course of two seasons and I think it's way better than some training montage.
She's gotten more serious in this season. She still cracks jokes, but not as much as before, and I guess she also doesn't hack as much as she used to.
I love hacker Skye but I guess she's got so much on her plate and afterlife doesn't look like a place that has good internet services lol
This season she found her parents, she got a new super power, her two families fought a war against each other. She's went through a lot and I hope she got herself some therapy with May's ex husband lol
May
May's background story was finally introduced in this season and I love that for her.
I was worried after season 1 and the beginning of season 2 that May was going to become blindly loyal to Coulson. I really didn't want her character to revolve around Coulson and it didn't happen and I liked that
May has her own judgement and opinion, which was very much fleshed out in that fight between two shield and the way she pursued the truths when she found out Coulson has lied to her
I do think the writers didn't use her character to its full potential. Partially because they introduced a new character Bobbi who is more or less taking over May's "kick-ass specialist" space
A lot of the things that Bobbi did on screen like some fighting scenes or interrogation scenes would have been perfectly fine if it's May's character too
I hope in season 3 she gets more screen time
Also please get May to fight more. I love kick ass May
Simmons
Simmons really changed a lot this season. I loved her arc of undercovering in Hydra.
I guess I didn't really want her to be so against alien but I understand her reasoning.
I was pretty surprised when she was so ready and planned out to kill Ward, but yeah I don't blame her. She's got good reasons.
I do think it's a shame that in season finale, Simmons's appearances were either to help Bobbi or talk about the FitzSimmons relationship.
How come Simmons didn't have anything to do with the season finale plot when she's supposed to be one of the main character.
Fitz
First of all I want to say that the actor who plays Fitz can act really well. He totally sold the whole brain damaged act. His acting was very on point
Surprisingly tho, this season I enjoyed his friendship with Mack with Skye more than FitzSimmons.
He is the sweetest for helping Skye with her power when everyone else was so afraid.
(sidenote:)I do hope FitzSimmons get together next season. But Simmons is who knows where and I feel like that experience will definitely be used as a plot device to make FitzSimmons angst even more
Coulson
I feel like Coulson is more interesting this season than the last? he's got more layers to him now. He is not just a good boss character.
This season I almost was concerned that he's gonna become crazy.
He dealt with a coup relatively with grace
He got to be the director of a once massive organization and he's got more responsibilities.
Ward
He is a good villain. Gotta give it to him. It is very rare that a fictional character can get under my skin this much like Ward did.
He is a deflecting son of a bitch who always has someone to blame but god damn it he got me frustrated
Bobbi and Hunter
Love them. Badass/Funny supporting characters
I feel like Bobbi is one of my favourites now. She's so cool
Trip
Man I was so sad he died. I love him. He could have been a great ship with Skye. Like I always said, he's a upgraded good guy Ward. He's a good man. I'm gonna miss him
Mack
I guess I didn't pay much attention to him? His friendship with Fitz is nice but he's annoying in that two shield arc. I like him in the last episode and I don't know if he's really quitting shield.
Koenigs
They are adorable lol. Just how many of them are out there? are they clones? robots? what are they?
Cal
Man Cal's actor can act!
His character is soo interesting and fun. He walks the line of black and white.
He is a murderer and killed many people. But somehow I understand his pain and I know he loves Jiaying and Skye very much.
I hope he lives his life in peace as a vet
Jiaying
I think she has solid points about shield
It's a shame that she died, but I guess it's a good thing that she died in the arm of Cal
Lincoln
He's so obviously a tailored love interest for Skye lol
It's nice. Usually in superhero shows, there is a woman character who does nothing but is the love interest of the hero
in agents of shield, it's a single, handsome, doctor man who mostly helps/supports Skye and gets rescued by Skye
It's nice lol
Gordon
No-eyes-man!
I didn't remember his name even after he died lol I googled him for his name
ugh sorry it's just that I remember him as no-eyes-man and that's that
I don't feel negative/positive for him lol he's more like a plot device who doesn't have much personality besides being loyal to Jiaying
Gonzales
See, he is supposed to be "the good guy"
But I just am annoyed by him and I like Cal a lot more than him
and Cal is supposed to be a monster
IDK, i just feel like if he was standing in front of me he'd give me lectures about how he's morally superior to me lol
ANYWAYS
my season 2 thinking thoughts is so much longer than season 1
man I'm falling for this show hard
anyways imma binge season 3 now lol bye

The masterlist for the whole collab is here!
Genre: fluff, smut
Warnings: slight SPOILER (it‘s really really small), smut obviously, little bit of public stuff if you count it as such, slight breeding kink, wedding sex, lot‘s of fluff
Word count: 3292
“I still remember when Iwa-chan told me, how he embarrassed himself in front of a cute girl and hoped he would never see her again to not relive the existential dread he felt at that moment. And then he told me he met her again and she laughed over the mishap and they were going to get coffee next week.”
-*-*-*-*-*-*
“I am so sorry.” His face was red, head bowed down in embarrassment, but you could still see it at the tip of his ears.
“It’s okay, it wasn’t like you were a stalker or something.” You were giggling a bit at the state he was in. “On top of that it is kinda my fault, I should’ve closed the curtains or something.” He slowly raised himself again, face still scrunched up in discomfort. He really looked like he was in horrendous pain and it was kinda your fault. “Please don’t beat yourself up over it. I’ll treat you to coffee, to make you feel better, when are you free?”
Maybe the fact that he was a looker made you act a bit more open towards him than usual, but you genuinely felt bad for him. He was obviously beating himself up over that accident a couple of days ago.
You had realised fast that you could look from your window right into the room on the other side of the street, which was why you invested in curtains pretty early. But apparently, you had forgotten to close them this time, so when you turned around shirtless and made eye contact with a man, you were both equally surprised. He looked mortified and you couldn’t even blink when he suddenly dropped to the floor, now hidden from your wide eyes.
Your body reacted, even though he probably couldn’t see you anymore, shielding your breasts with one arm, the other hastily closing the curtains. After the initial shock wore off you couldn’t help but giggle a bit. Why did he just drop to the floor? He could’ve turned around or something.
-*-*-*-*-*-*
Next to you, Hajime buried his face in his hands, but the large grin that had adorned his face for the whole evening was still there. Tooru waited a bit until the laughter calmed down until he continued.
“When I came back from Argentina for a visit she was already his girlfriend of five months. And when I saw Iwa-chan I knew that she would probably stick around for longer. You know, Iwa-chan is a very violent person-“ “Only towards shitty people!” You knew he couldn’t have let that jab just go by, but Tooru professionally ignored him.
“but with her, he was very soft, always touching her in some way. Sometimes touching too much. Don’t think we forgot the trip to the cabin!” He scoldingly wiggled his finger towards you, accompanied by Makki’s and Mattsun’s affirming but still scandalised shouts.
-*-*-*-*-*-*
“We gotta be quick, Haji.” His lips were hot on your collarbones, fingers already dipping under your shirt, quickly pulling it over your head. “I know, they will wonder where we are.”
You had excused yourself for a second from the movie the others had put on. It was the first time this day where there weren’t two other people in the room with you, everybody being huddled in the living room of the small cabin where you resided for the weekend. With two bedrooms shared between the six of you and one big room that functioned as kitchen, living and dining room, there was never space for some alone time, which you were desperate to have after your boyfriend strutted around you shirtless the whole day. It should be illegal for someone as fine as he was to do such things.
Foreplay had to be postponed for the next time, you had little time until the others would grow suspicious. “No need, I can take you.”
You pulled his fingers out of your entrance, desperate to just feel his cock in you. He chuckled at your eagerness, pushing his sweatpants down until his cock sprung free, already hard and leaking. Apparently, you weren’t the only sexually frustrated one.
“Fuck,” you breathed out when he buried himself in you with one stroke.
“Quiet, baby.” His lips found yours stifling your small moans as he began moving his hips.
Breathless gasped and small moans soon filled the room, occasionally accompanied by the sound of skin slapping, when Hajime couldn’t stop his hips before they met yours. “I’m close,” you whimpered as he began rubbing your clit and he shot you a breathless smile and pressed a small kiss to your lips. “Bite something when you come,” he said quietly, thrusts becoming a bit more erratic.
“Disgusting!” Loud banging on the door interrupted you and Hajime let out a string of curses. “If you already know then don’t go interrupting, Shittykawa!” Not having to hide anymore his hips finally snapped into yours, using the full capacity of his strength to make you moan against his shoulder.
Unfortunately, the orgasm you experienced didn’t lessen the embarrassment when you faced the others again.
-*-*-*-*-*-*
It was your turn to hang your head in shame, trying not to meet your parents’ eyes, who were seated next to you. Or worse, Hajime’s parents.
Tooru chuckled at your misery, before continuing.
“To be honest, I wasn’t that surprised when Iwa-chan called me and told me he would send me pictures of rings and I should help him decide. He obviously forgot timezones since it was 2am for me and I first thought somebody had died, but after promising to make me best man I obviously forgave him.” The guests laughed again and Tooru took a well-rehearsed break.
“I don’t think I have seen Iwa-chan as nervous as when he was rehearsing his proposal through me via Skype. I told him it was good, even though he was a stammering mess. But the thing about those two over there is that they calm each other down. So I knew, when the moment would come, everything would go swimmingly. I saw the way they looked at each other, there was no way she would say no.”
-*-*-*-*-*-*
“What are you planning?” You were chuckling, when Hajime lead you through the small house on the outskirts of Tokyo you two had purchased together when it was safe that he was staying in Japan with his work. “Let me surprise you, woman, and stop asking.” You could hear the amusement in his voice and it made your heart bloom. After all these years together he still made you feel like you were going on your first date. And he probably always would.
“Small step, be careful.”
You felt the ground changing from the hardwood floor to a rougher and colder one, showing you that you were now outside on the small terrace. You didn’t have to wonder for long, what he was planning when he carefully pulled the blindfold off your face. The first thing you saw was him.
But it was enough. He was smiling at you, his eyes radiating love. You couldn’t help but snaking your arms around his neck, to press a kiss to his lips. “You look so handsome. I love you.”
Hajime in a suit was something you had the pleasure of seeing a couple of times, but it still caught you off guard how someone could look this good.
“You haven’t even looked around, idiot,” He chuckled but still laid his arms around you to tug you towards him to kiss you again. After that he still forced you to turn around, to take a look at what he conjured in the last couple of hours.
The small garden you had behind your house was completely transformed, fairy lights making the faint evening glow even more magical.
“It’s beautiful.” The words were soft, Hajime wouldn’t have heard them if he wasn’t standing this close to you. “All for you, baby. I love you. I just thought, maybe we could sit on the blanket, maybe drink a bit of wine and just talk, you know?” His voice was laced with nervousness, even if he wasn’t even sure why. He knew you would like what he did. He went through your Pinterest boards and they were loaded with fairy lights, clinking classes, kisses shared under the faint glow. “That sounds perfect. What’s the occasion? I haven’t forgotten anything, right?” He laughed out loud at your nervousness. “No, babe, you haven’t. I just wanted to do something for you.”
His smile was so pure, filled with raw emotion, you had to kiss him again, putting as much passion as possible into the kiss. “Thank you, Hajime. I love you so much. I can’t believe I got so lucky.”
Your eyes were a bit wetter than usual and you hastily blinked the tears away, smiling at your boyfriend, ready to have a magical evening.
He really had everything prepared. Next to the blanket, a small cooler with a bottle of rosé laid, together with two glasses for you. His phone played soft instrumental music in the background, as you settled yourself against his chest, occasionally sipping at your wine, reminiscing about the past years, wishing for the future ones.
“Hey, move for a second, my leg’s fallen asleep.” A small tug of his leg under you made you sit up, while he fixed his posture, both of you now sitting upright in front of each other.
“Sorry, about that. Do you want to stand up for a bit to move it?” His eyes twinkled with amusement as he tugged you back down when you already wanted to stand up.
A shaky breath escaped him. So this was it. “Y/N, baby, I love you. So much, you can’t even imagine. You’ve been with me for the past couple of years and I honestly can’t wait for the future, if you’re by my side.” He paused for a second, hand slipping into his pocket. “Hajime.” Tears were already welling up in your eyes before he even managed to pull the ring out of his pocket, that he and Tooru had chosen so diligently a couple months prior.
“Will you marry me?”
-*-*-*-*-*-*
“Those two, right there, are a great couple if I’ve ever seen one. I actually can’t imagine a better partner for my Iwa-chan. Hajime. I’ve seen you grow up. I’ve been growing up alongside you and, dare I say, we’ve both become pretty great.” Tooru chuckled a bit, but everyone could hear his voice wavering, as his eyes were fixated on his best friend.
“I can’t express how happy I am, to still have you in my life, to now seeing you maturing into this great man who is inspiring others in everything he does. Seeing you enter this new part of your life, with this great woman in my life warms my heart. And you deserve nothing less. A toast to you. A toast to your future, Mr. and Mrs. Iwaizumi.” He raised his glass to you, a big smile on his face.
If he weren’t sitting right across from you, you would’ve missed the small tears rolling down his face. The guests around you all raised their glasses to towards you, everyone touched by Tooru’s speech.
But nobody came close to Hajime, who was clenching your hand in his’ tightly, tears welling up in his eyes, before he strode over to his friend, tightly embracing him.
You couldn’t hear what words were exchanged as tears fell and people smiled at the pair. Every guest at your wedding knew about Hajime and Tooru. The best friends, the best partners, who have been with each other since they were about five years old. Who only see each other every couple of months, partners technically becoming rivals.
When your husband came back to you his eyes were puffy, some tears still escaping, but the happiest smile on his face. Tooru hugged you too, wishing you good luck for your future, making a small joke about becoming an uncle again and telling you, once again, to take care of his best friend, his brother.
“I’m so happy to be your wife.” Hajime kissed you at your words but you still knew that he was equally as happy as you were. “You’re not getting rid of me that easily now,” you joked, relishing in the laughter that escaped him.
“As if I would ever want that. I’m going to put some kids in you as soon as possible. And then we have a little family. Maybe even a big family. Whatever you want.” He kissed you again and you couldn’t help but smile at the picture of him with kids in your head. More importantly, your kids. “About that.” You leaned into his side, grateful for the minutes you had at the edge of the room. “I’ve been thinking, maybe stopping my birth control? I mean we don’t have to start trying and stuff, but we’re married now and we’ve been together for a while, and we talked about it already, and-“ You were cut off with a passionate kiss, Hajime even dipping you slightly as he practically devoured you.
“Do you mean that? Do you really mean that?” You could only nod, a wide grin on your lips as you cupped his face in your hands to bring his mouth to yours again. “Fuck, I love you. I can’t wait to fuck you today.” Heat shot through your stomach at his words and his kisses did nothing to soothe it.
“Hajime.” You really didn’t intend for his name to sound like such a whimper. But when he growled against your lips you knew you were done for. “The bridal room. Where I got ready. Let’s go.”
You felt like a schoolgirl sneaking around again, when you were rushing through the halls of the venue, hand in hand with your new husband, giggling around, until you finally closed the door behind you, being pressed against the same one in an instant, a breathless Hajime resting his forehead against yours.
You were whispering ’I love you’s to each other for the probably thousandths time this day, but it wasn’t like you were growing tired of it anytime soon. “You gotta be careful about the dress, I don’t wanna have cum stains somewhere,” you reminded him as he was flicking up your skirt, already sinking to his knees.
“Guess I’ll just have to cum inside you.” You giggled in excitement at his statement, soon leading into a moan, when he buried his face between your lower lips, thong pulled to the side, his tongue expertly doing all the things he found out about you the years before.
“Fuck, Hajime.” Your fingers thread themselves in his hair, tugging him closer.
He took one of your legs in his hand, tugging it over his shoulder and digging even deeper between your legs, using the fingers of his other hand as well, to insert two of them into your dripping cunt. “Haji, I’m coming,” you whimpered, clamping onto him.
“Wait for my cock.” The years of never neglected training came in handy, when he stood up, with you in his arms, to seat you on the small table, that was probably just in the room for decorating purposes. You shrieked a bit at how fast everything was happening, but you kind of agreed with him.
The first time you should come as husband and wife should be with him deep inside you.
He dropped his suit pants to his ankles and you could feel yourself clench with excitement. “Ready, baby?”
“Yes, please, Haji.” You pulled him towards you again to connect your lips, moaning into his mouth when he rubbed his dick up and down your folds, coating himself in your arousal.
It’s weird to explain what you felt the moment he pushed himself inside you. You had sex lots of times. But in that moment you felt more complete than you ever did.
You stayed like that for a couple of seconds, connected in the most intimate way possible, before his hips snapped back and into you again, eliciting a moan of both of you.
“Honestly, fucking you in your wedding dress is hot as fuck.” He laughed breathlessly, kissing you again, all while not halting his thrusts.
“Think about me pregnant with your kids,” you purred in his ear and squeaked in delight when his next thrust was harder than before.
“Don’t get me started. You’re going to look so good pregnant. All round and cozy.” His speed grew more erratic and you knew he would come soon.
“Fuck, we gonna start soon, right?” Your fingers clenched in his shirt, pushing him closer to you, chasing your own high.
“We’re starting right now, baby.” He kissed you again, hand moving down to rub your clit again, chuckling at the little whimpers you let out.
“Haji-“ You didn’t need to say more, he already knew, what you wanted to tell him.
“Go on, baby.” You kissed again, moans mixing in your mouths, as his tongue caressed yours, the slight taste of your juices still left on them. Every time his cock hit that one part you had to suppress a small scream, only slightly moaning in your husband's mouth.
“Can’t wait for tonight. Gonna fill you- ah- up again and again. And then you can be as loud as you want. Fuck. Gonna take my time with you.”
The filth he muttered against your lips only made you clench down harder onto his cock, feeling your high approaching rapidly. It was him coming, his cum spurting into you, which finally sent you over the edge, legs wrapping around him, bringing him even closer to your body, completely engulfing him, dead set on never letting him go.
Heavy breathing filled the room, as you both came down from your high. Small kisses were being exchanged, I love you’s were mumbled. But it was still perfect.
“I’m already anticipating tonight,” you mumbled, slightly exhausted due to moaning so much, making him chuckle, while his hands calmingly rubbed up and down your sides.
When he pulled out of you, you moaned again at the feeling of his cum slowly dribbling out of you.
“This looks so good. You look so good.” Hajime’s eyes were focused on the spot between your legs, fingers twitching to push it back inside.
“Don’t let it go on the dress!” You shrieked, chuckling at the way he darted to get a paper towel, carefully wiping you down.
“You alright, baby?” He helped you down from the table after pushing your thong back in place and fixing up his suit pants.
“Yeah. I love you. You made me the happiest woman alive, today, you know that?” The smile he threw your way at your words made your heart bloom. You were so in love with this man.
“Now, brace yourself for the comments.” You intertwined your fingers again, going back down the hallways to rejoin your guests at your reception. “You think somebody noticed something?” Your hands grew sweaty at the thought. Hopefully, nobody suspected a thing. Especially not his parents. Or worse, the grandparents!
“Tooru will have noticed for sure. You know how he is. If we’re lucky he hasn’t told Makki or Mattsun.” Hajime seemed way to relaxed at the thought, only shrugging his shoulders, ditching your hand to throw his arm around your shoulder and pull you into his side.
“I love you.” He pressed a kiss to your temple and you could feel he was smiling.
“I love you, too.”
No matter what was going to happen once you got back, this was still the best day of your life.

Keeping Up With The Hollands | 03 (Interview)
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Tom were offered to document your life since you are both famous in the entertainment industry. Now as you got older you left the entertainment industry and head for the medical field. How difficult can it be? Also, did I mention that you have kids?
Previous | CHAPTER 03 | Next
Series Masterlist
WORDS: 1.04K
If you have questions that you'd like to ask for Tom or for.. you? Then don't be shy to send them. I apologize for this being late, my sister had a project and I got invested with Love Island
Tumblr media
'
'
"Hey I'm Y/N L/N and I'll be playing with puppies while answering your questions, hit it" One of the staff members hands you a cute white pomeranian puppy.
"Oh, my fucki- wait I can't curse in front of you! You're too cute for me to do that" You sad suddenly forgetting that you were doing an interview. The Pomeranian puppy licked at your nose then barked at you wagging its tail. As you were giggling you heard a cough, realizing it was coming from the staff members.
"Oh right, sorry! I forgot I was doing this interview. Okay so let's start."
How do you deal with all the hate? And what's your motto for this year
"Uh I mostly ignore them, actually I have a high tolerance to ignore bullshit so if someone dislikes me or something I do and sends hate, I just basically say okay! ...Or just fall asleep. For the motto question, um well I don't have one but I could think of one....'Reject the status quo?' I don't know, I was watching too much High School Musical. Next question"
While you were answering the questions, another puppy came. You took it and place it on your lap, it was a German Shepherd puppy. You took your hand that has bracelets on it and dangled it in front of the puppies watching as they try to catch it. Smile instantly forming on your face.
Were there any struggles in you and Tom's relationship?
"Mhm, I like this question. Our relationship isn't as complex as thinks everyone thinks it is. When we first started dating there was a few issues since the age gap. We started dating when I was 27 and he was around 21, and people were sending me messages saying how I'm using him for his money and that I was some weird pedophile and I was so confused because don't you have to be with someone who's underage in order to be called that? Plus, I'm not bragging but I have more money compare to Tom. People are weird these days dude."
Do you have a crush on Harrison? If not, is there any other guy you find attractive?
That's a weird question to ask. Harrison is a very attractive guy and we respect each other. He's more of a best friend than anything. I really love him! For the other half... probably Niall Horan wait not, let's say the members of One Direction except for Harry yeah Zayne as well but um...maybe James Franco or Chris Evans? Look if I were to list all of my celebrity crushes we would be here all day so let's move on" You let out a giggle and smile when the Shepherd bark at you
"See, Sheppy here thinks so as well, don't you?"
There are rumours about Tom and Zendaya, saying that they are in a relationship do you think so?
"No, I don't, if anything I'd say Zendaya and I are in a secret - well not so secret now. I'm sorry Tom...but yeah uh, I don't think any of it, they both are close to me so I honestly don't think they would ever do something like that. Zendaya is an amazing actress and friend and if there's any issues I would most likely go to her for a second opinion and Tom, he's spectacular- oh my god,  I've been hanging around with brits too much but anyway, he's amazing and the way that his parents brought him up, he wouldn't cheat."
Will you make music?
"Actually I thought the old songs...that I made weren't that good, but I'm surprised people actually like it. Uh, I probably have a good... 5 or so finished and a few unfinished ones but who knows I may put out some!"
Are there any upcoming movies?
Actually, there is. I have two upcoming movies with Tom, which was a surprise to me, but I'm not going to give any more details! I have a minor part in both The 100 and Euphoria. Any other projects you'll just have to wait and see~"
Why did you break up with Harry?
"Mhm, I'm not surprised at this but now, it's getting very old being asked this. I love Harry but it seems that Kendall Jenner was better than me? Not sure, but I had wished we had talked about this instead of me finding out from the internet. Wish him and her the best"
Noticing your distress, the Pomeranian came over and licked your face, a sad smile forming on your face.
What's one moment from your career that you'll never forget?
"I think one of the best moment I'll never forget is when a fan of mines came to a meet and greet and gave me a stuffed toy, I got two, one of a butterfly and one of me, and when she gave me it and I almost cried because I haven't gotten something hand made like that. She literally spent a whole week on it, what makes it even better is that they light up!"'
You lay down on the floor watching as the German Shepherd tried to tug your hand while the Pomeranian lays on your stomach. The camera shifts to face your view.
"Am I making your hands hurt?" You asked the cameraman but he just gave you a smile.
"Ah my bad, my back hurts from sitting like that so I needed a break, if your hands are hurtin' lemme know"
Last question: What advice would you give to a fan who's struggling with depression?
"Well, there isn't a best advice. For me when I had depression is that you aren't alone. There's actually a lot of people suffering from depression and I think being not okay is fine, you just need... to find something that's positive- actually, surround yourself with positive people that cheers you up, do something that you like, talk to people, that's what I did and  I can honestly say that I'm doing great now."
As you sat up, you grabbed the Pomeranian and gently rest them on the floor, while the camera follows you. You smiled at the camera and wave.
"Thanks for sending in your messages! I really enjoy them. I am Y/n L/N and this has been Buzzfeed!"

So like any gay theater kid, I had a Wicked phase in middle school. I obsessed over the show, inhaled bootlegs, and even convinced my parents to take me to see the show on Broadway. However, my little obsession also led me to read the ENTIRE 4-book Wicked Years series by Gregory Maguire. A series which, if you need to know anything about, is absolutely NOTHING like the musical. The lovable and largely family-friendly musical took quite a few liberties in its adaptation, cutting out scores of violence, murder, assault, complex political commentary, racism, and some weird philosophical musings. Also, yes, quite a bit of gay stuff. The story is very uncomfortable on many levels, even for the books’ adult target-audience, and as a middle schooler, I was obviously way in over my head.
Needless to say, I didn’t like the books. They weren’t made for me, and even if they were, I think there are a LOT of problematic elements. That being said, some sort of strange investment in the characters, mixed with a determination to finish what I started and what I can only assume was morbid fascination, pushed me to finish the ENTIRE series. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, but after sticking it out for so long, I have this weird attachment to the books, and I still reminisce back on that weird phase to this day.
Since the series is long over and the Wicked movie seems dead, I genuinely thought I had moved on from my phase, so you can imagine my surprise when I went to Barnes & Noble yesterday and found ANOTHER F*CKING WICKED BOOK prominently displayed at the front of the store. I hadn’t heard anything about it and I legitimately thought the series was dead but it appears that Gregory Maguire has resurrected its rotting green corpse for A WHOLE NEW TRILOGY directly following from where the last book ended.
Granted, the ending was kind of open-ended and there’s certainly room for a sequel, but Maguire is just the kind of writer who likes leaving his stories hanging. I didn’t think he’d actually write another book, let alone THREE. I’ll admit, I am kind of curious. Like, the plot sounds kind of interesting and it mentions Rain trying to get back to “her lover,” and it’s always nice to have a sapphic romance, but I’m not sure I can do it again. The book was also hella expensive so I’d probably wait anyway, but I’m not sure I can go back to whatever the hell is going on in Maguire’s Oz 😭

danny phantom, season 3 episodes 3-6 thoughts!
see prev episode thoughts in this tag <3
-johnny was actually pretty civil with danny and left when he asked! thats nice. also, SKULKER?? HAD A FRAMED PICTURE OF EMBER?? oooo fuck wait had they established they were a Thing Before?? I dont think so. thats weird. its like that country boy/goth girl meme lmfao. I think i am going to choose to ignore this new info and pretend I didnt hear it. 100% unrelated to the jazz/ember fanart I already drew and posted....😳
-LADIES NIGHT EPISODE THIS IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT. wish it didnt really center around the guys or them being pissed at them, but. willing to bet this was written by men lol
-THEY ERASED ALL THE MEN??? meanwhile, jack and danny are fishing at. silent hill or something. im glad jack is trying to read a parenting book and making an Attempt. (theyre at lake erie, but, they made it actually eerie...thats fun)
-the girls alt outfits...cute. EMBER MADE A NEW SONG TOO!!! kinda. jazz being one of the backup singers and being AWFUL. NOOOO
-'how are we going to get kitty to blow a kiss?' 'she'll have to think there are still some males in town!' ...i dont know how to break it to you, but I dont know that a 100% het girl would wish for all men to Begone. I think. I mean im not a het or a girl so I dont really know for sure. she Is probably Bi tho. esp having the other ladies in town chanting NO MEN!!! excitedly............(then again, the kiss is to get Rid of men, so, she probably would have blown it at the ladies only if they were actively trying to attack/stop them, so...I MEAN. THE DRESSING LIKE DANNY BIT WAS SO EXTRA)
-I feel like an all female cast ep couldve been way way way way cooler than that was. like. why was it still somehow all about Men. ...anyway. (where was valerie...)
-next ep opens with the observants, and, way way more of them than I expected...existed? I mean I guess them being a council/jury of some kind is what I expected from their first appearance (bc at that time they were basically TELLING clockwork to kill danny, not asking,, so I figured they had SOME kind of authority) but. there were so many. anyway, here goes vlad! letting his own hubris go brrrr. releasing a weather ghost for political gain! #justvladthings
-okay say what you will about him (he IS an asshole) but having an umbrella with his own face on it and more prepared to share is SUPER FUNNY. and him being fanned by huge wads of money by his bodyguards. SO ineffective but so Dramatic. He UNDERSTANDS that if youre rich you need to be. you know. obnoxious and kinda eccentric about it! fuckign hate when rich people are boring about it. I would trust vlad with nothing except to not be a boring rich asshole who wears...fucking khaki or some shit. man knows his Presentation Skills. and that 'V' chair in his mayoral office. is that fucking embroidered?
Tumblr media
-maddie get your MAN PLEEEEASSSE. IM SO EMBARRASSED FOR HER. the way jack stays simping for this man. in FRONT OF HIS WIFE!!!! ...my god its like a love triangle. jack clearly loves vlad, who loves maddie, who loves jack. jack fenton is at the very least bi, right................. this is an OBSESSION . 'THE V MAN COMETH'???? i...my god. (also, on a serious note, to have a friend THIS SUPPORTIVE...and still be SUCH A DICK TO HIM (TRYING TO KILL HIM AND STEAL HIS WIFE??) NOT COOL VLAD. JACK IS YOUR 1 AND /ONLY/ HYPE MAN. if someone loved and supported me THIS HARD...LIKE. CMON DUDE.
Tumblr media
-STOMP the fucking GAS, JACK
Tumblr media
-this would make a great shirt design, looks like a metal band design! we love The Maelstrom
-oh, so vlad did in fact get a mansion in amity park. and its purple! good color choice! not as flashy as a CASTLE or MURDER CABIN, but still pretty eccentric, which I appreciate.
-...vlad knows the difference between picasso and da vinci? in the ep last post where we were watching him fail at conquering every historical time ever he didnt seem to know history well enough to like. be effective...was vlad taking art history at college?? (was he an art MAJOR??? we never DID KNOW WHAT HE WENT TO SCHOOL FOR. I kinda assumed business because in the masters of time ep he was still rich without ghost powers so he had to have..known something about business or something, right...but also, art and or theater FITS HIS PERSONALITY. possibly also something science-y, I guess, but I always felt like he got roped into that, esp how pessimistic he was about the ghost portal in the flashbacks to college, like, i felt like he was just there for maddie and was uninterested/un-invested at the time...)
-THIS GHOST JUST ELECTROCUTED MADDIE (THE CAT) BITCH!! THATS MY FAVORITE MADDIE!!! vlad going after vortex and being ~shocked~ .....WHEN. WHEN WILL YOU LEARN. THAT YOUR ACTIONS. HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!!
-the way this random man with a camera sees the mayor laying in an alley covered in TRASH AND DECIDES TO TAKE A PICTURE HAHAH
Tumblr media
*snap* this ones going in my cringe compilation!
-vlad 'if we're going to defeat vortex, we're going to have to do it together!' *immediately dips after dropping danny off in front of vortex* JKASDFHKJHJKN
-DANNY CAN DUPLICATE!!! ...he couldnt even attack with it, but he DID IT!!! INTO (4) OF HIMSELF!!! SO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!
-'THE ROLLER COASTER EMOTIONS OF A TEENAGER THREATEN MY PLANS!' ...0 self awareness of his own dramatic moodiness. incredible, how dumb this man is. its very close to circling around to endearing, if he was less of an asshole. at least its very very funny to see danny shooting him with tiny lightning bolts anytime he's even slightly irritated! vlad you should be nice to danny anyway. this is what you GET
-...making sandwiches and ice cream and playing video games with your nephew is a totally normal thing. WHY is vlad acting like this is the end of the world. if you were a GOOD UNCLE YOU WOULD ALREADY BE DOING THESE THINGS!!! bitch I make my nephew food all the time and dont forget what he does and doesnt like. if u didnt know danny didnt want tomatoes, thats on u. if u, a grown adult, are gonna piss of the 14 yr old by not letting him win, u deserve to have to pay for the arcade machines he ruins because he now has uncontrollable storm powers because YOU THREW HIM INTO A FIGHT WITH THE STORM GHOST. fuck u vlad. paypal me $400,000 while ur at it tho. (also, gamer vlad confirmed)
-VLAD CAN COOK THOUGH???! I assumed he had...people working for him that did that. I mean. billionaires usually dont do that. then again, we've only seen those vultures working for him (and I guess the dairy king was AT his old mansion, but it was never really clarified if he worked there...I think he probably just Hung Out and they Enjoyed Cheeses Together. thats what I think, I dont think a KING would be working for anyone and also the dairy king was nice <3) but then again he would be a private person and we cant have anyone accidentally finding Ghostly Things, so...still, that's hilarious. pour one out for that really cute banana split that got ruined 2 seconds later
Tumblr media
-vlad just fucking picking danny up and THROWING HIM AT VORTEX TWICE WITHIN LIKE A MINUTE. JUST ABSOLUTELY LAUNCHING HIM. BITCH THATS MY SON BE CAREFUL!!! HES GOT ORGANS AND THINGS!!!!
-danny seeing those animal commercials and feeling sad is the biggest 2000s throwback so far. i legitimately had to change the channel or walk out of the room when those came on bc id CRY AND BE SAD ABOUT THEM FOR DAYS AFTER. fuck those commercials and fuck that IN THE ARMMMS OF AN ANGELLLL song 😭
-'vlads ego almost got the town destroyed!' yes danny thats the entire episode. the entire series anytime vlad shows up honestly. this episode was just him being really embarrassing the entire time, and, me laughing about it. 10/10 would laugh at him again
-NEXT EP WE HAVE A SHAPESHIFTING GHOST?? I've said it before but shapeshifting is the power I would want when asked those 'what superpower do you want' questions...its the Best power! this guy looks like a homestuck character. ive never read homestuck but thats the vibe
-I love every time we see tuckers family, they are by far the most functional family. and dash has a lil chihuahua!!! named pookie!!! i am crying (I've had 3 chihuahuas, so I am very biased, but...) AND HE WATCHES THE ROMANCE CHANNEL WITH POOKIE. POOKIE I WILL DIE FOR YOU YOU SWEET LITTLE BABY.
-danny can lift a bus! I shouldn't be surprised, but i am proud of my son. hes got lil kid fans. i am going to cry about this
-JAZZ KEEPS A SCRAPBOOK WITH DANNY'S LIL HEROICS AND NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS!!! we've actually seen it on her floor before, but I didnt realize it was a scrapbook!! thats sooo cute.
-...and danny has to stand there listening to his parents saying danny phantom sucks and is a 'filthy ghost' and calling him egotistical...i am once again stealing their kids!
-THIS GHOST RIPPING JAZZ'S SCRAPBOOK!!! ILL KILL YOU. SHE WORKED HARD ON THAT!!! BITCH
-yes, maddie, the one with red eyes is For Sure Actually Your Son. ignore the, red eyes... (CLEARLY she hasnt watched the other 2 eps where danny has been evil, she doesnt know red eyes= evil!!!)
-'billy fenton'.......................
-danny being stuck as phantom in his own house, no way out is a fucking NIGHTMARE. his parents pointing giant weapons against him and SHOOTING AT HIM. THIS IS A HORROR MOVIE.
Tumblr media
-NINE INCH NAILS POSTER.
Tumblr media
-this is the most screenshot of all time
-amorpho turning into mr. lancer because hes 'someone no one will want to be around' BUT HES WRONG, I WOULD BEFRIEND AND HANG OUT WITH MR LANCER SO FAST.
-tucker dressing as danny, now I have the full Tucker set of him being sam and also being danny. also saying 'the ghost...uh...RIPPED MY FACE OFF.' and then running. SMOOTH. NOT AT ALL CONCERNING TO ANY PARENTS.
-sam accepts the toast from jack. and then 2 seconds later is like 'why am i eating this.' THIS SHOWS HUMOR IS SO UNEXPECTED SOMETIMES ITS REALLY GOOD. and then the scene after, mr lancer running into his ghost doppelganger and being like 'YOURE GORGOUS' THEN FAINTING. I AM CRYING. AND DASH FAINTING TOO.
-sam disguising herself as danny again to help tucker run from the fentons. but leaving him shirtless in the streets. incredible. 'plEASE DOnt NOTice MY FACELessNESS I MUST LIVE IN EXILE' this episode is destroying me the humor in this show is exactly my brand of corny and cheesy
-the impromtu story made up by danny and amorpho to explain stuff to the fentons. my god they are both such bad liars. but amorpho is a good egg. wish danny wouldnt have said he didnt wanna see him in town again!! I want him to be reoccurring. not that thats gonna matter since I'm almost done with the series, but the idea of this being the Only Time We See him is :(
-NEXT EP SAYS STARRING MARK HAMILL??????!!! hello ! mr . joker....mr. star wars.... I feel like I should be. idk. taking off a hat im not wearing in respect. I shouldnt be surprised tho bc hes in a lot of cartoons as a very good voice actor, and dp has already had a lot of talented ones so I've been looking out for ones I might know, but....mr. hamill....
-sam has her own greenhouse, names all the plants, and says thank you to them (in the languages from where the plants are from) whenever she harvests from them. thats SO cute. and her lil gothy lunch box...
-and danny's lil red fuzzy lined jacket!!! ive said it before but every time the characters get alt outfits im like :D
-danny has ice powers now!!! THATS WHAT FROSTBITE MEANT. HE KNEW SOMEHOW WAY BACK THEN
Tumblr media
-THIS SHOW NEVER LETS YOU FORGET VLAD IS A BILLIONAIRE, HUH.
-danny's lil 'holy hibiscus!' first off the 50s batman swearing is hilarious. 2nd. my username is from the flower sanchoyo hibiscus, so, shoutout to ME this ep. hi :)
-EURGH UNDERGROWTH MAKING EVERYONE PLANT ZOMBIES. HIVEMIND PLOTS SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF ME. and this dude made the city SO overtaken so quickly like how long was danny asleep?? oh god
Tumblr media
-evil fucked up sam! now the whole trio has gone evil at some point! the voice actress did a really, really good job with making her sound like a zombie...
-frostbite's paws are so so so big compared to danny. oh my god. i want to hug the snow dog...
-the far frozen has an advanced medical stuff!!! very cool. very smart snow dogs
-im so glad danny has a friendly ghost snow dad to explain this new power and teach him!!! this is so sweet. DANNY'S GHOST SENSE WAS A PART OF HIS ICE POWER?? OOOH. COOL. we love a training montage!!!
-danny saying if he cant defeat overgrowth, that he'd want to stay with frostbite...oh my god...do you think this is the first real supportive adult figure in his life (I am NOT counting his parents because they threaten him on the daily even if they dont realize it.) I mean mr lancer is a Teacher, but he was also nice but this is different, but this is a GHOST WHO IS WILLING TO HELP HIM with his powers and also will help him when hes injured and is so so nice and comparatively so much more mature than 90% of the adults in this show!!!! god. dad frostbite is my everything.
-the framing and lighting this episode, and all the angles...they went all OUT and it looks really really good. this is my nightmare scenario, tho. like, FUCK zombies and dead city zones and hivemind shit. and using the humans as 'nutrients for the children' i am going to THROW UP.
Tumblr media
-MALEFICENT VIBES WITH THE HORNS AND GREEN EYES! this costume kicks so much ass. sam is now mark hamills daughter, I guess.
-danny's ice powers making his eyes blue!!! thats neat. and him going for the roots underground was SO SMART. i will not stand for danny ever thinking hes stupid, hes SO smart.
almost done with the show... :"( thats a sad thought!!!

@elskamo because I adore you I will write a thing for it, but tbh this really should be a multichaptered fic. I’m just the worst at writing those, so here’s a shortened version. Also you should totally write that alternate world tour idea, it sounds super dope!
“If you think he’s cute, why don’t you just go talk to him?”
“Who are you even talking about?”
“Don’t play dumb with me, I know you Duncan. Just because things didn’t work out with us doesn’t mean you’re not still my best friend. I can read you like a book.”
“You should stick with reading actual books Princess, don’t you have other people to bother. Like Trent?”
“Stop trying to change the subject, he’s literally looked over at you at least twice now. Go say hi.”
“Not interested, besides you know I only have eyes for you Court.”
“Not interested.”
“You break my heart Princess.”
“And you’re unbelievable. Oh look, there’s Heather and oh!”
“What?”
“Looks like she knows your guy.”
“No, Courtney! Don’t you dare!”
Too late, his ex girlfriend proves to still be a pain in his ass as she waves down Heather and motions for her and her handsome friend to join them in their booth. Courtney makes sure Heather sits next to her as they’re all introduced to Alejandro, a childhood friend from her daycare days who she managed to keep in contact with.
“Duncan, Court, this is Al.”
“Heather.”
“Kidding, his name is Alejandro. He just moved here, so he’ll need all the social interaction he can get.”
“I was doing fine on my own.”
“Sure, that’s why I found you napping on the couch with a documentary on whales playing in the background. You need to get out more.”
“I told you already I had it on for the ocean sounds.”
“Dude’s got a point, waves are pretty soothing… um… you know at least that’s what the homies… I mean Geoff tells me.”
Courtney shoots Duncan a pointed look as to say I told you so when he just had a brainfart and blanked out on the words, it had nothing to do with how distracting his new… friend is. None at all.
😏😏😏
Heather: You know if you wanna talk to him, you should’ve just done it. I’ve never seen you this nervous before, I really gotta meet this guy.
Alejandro: Haha, really funny Heather. The only reason why I’m even looking at him is because you’re running thirty minutes late.
Heather: Right… it’s why you’ve only been sending me messages about him when there must be at least twenty other people at the diner.
Alejandro: The guy has a green mohawk! It’s very in your face!
Heather: Oh yeah, not that you were paying extra attention to him or anything… I mean you must just have keen observation skills to see that his eyes are a unique shade of light blue you’ve never seen before and that he has a dimple only on his right cheek when he smiles… but you would notice that about anyone.
He was still struggling with a reply when he catches the guy he totally hasn’t been checking out, no matter what Heather thinks, looks over at him for the third time since he’s been in the corner spot. The sound of the door chiming along with a pair of heels on the tiles lets him know his lunch buddy has finally arrived. She doesn’t even apologize for being late, just glances at her phone and smiles at her while firing away a text message before putting the phone back in her purse.
“You’re not even going to say hello?”
“No time, we have some people to meet.”
Before he even has the chance to question her further, she’s already pulling him out of the booth towards, the guy with the green hair and his friend… that Heather clearly knew and didn’t tell him about. Great, he’s been set up. She shoots him a wink as she sits down next to the brunette he knows as Courtney, leaving him no choice but to slide in next to Duncan.
😏😏😏
“Wait, oh my gosh Duncan! This is big! Your first date together! Where are you guys going?”
“Slow your roll Princess, it’s not a date. We’re just going to watch that new scary movie since someone bailed on me.”
“Going to a movie is a date, I knew you liked him!”
“Yeah, no. Dude seems chill and he was free, that’s the only reason. We’re just two guys hanging out.”
“Sure, just like how Trent and I are just two friends who text each other everyday.”
“We don’t text everyday…”
“Ha! I knew you had his number!”
“... of course I do… we’re friends… don’t wait up.”
😏😏😏
“Wow, look at you getting all dressed up, hot date? Actually don’t answer that, where’s Duncan taking you?”
“I’m just wearing a button down and how’d you know I was hanging out with Duncan?”
“From the way you were smiling at your phone even though you two have been texting non stop all day, and is that what you’re calling it? Hanging out.”
“We’re just going to see a movie.”
“Netflix and chill.”
“No Heather, at a movie theater.”
“Oh, a bit voyeuristic for the first date, but I’m not judging.”
“We’re just friends. Nothing’s happening. I don’t like him like that.”
“Right, just remember to use protection.”
😏😏😏
Somehow they end up having a picnic in the park a couple weeks after their movie not date. Clearly neither of them are interested in being anything more than friends, though their roommates keep trying to push them together. Even though again, they were just friends. Just two bros eating homemade food they made for each other on a nice sunny afternoon in a secluded part of the park next to the lake. Totally normal and definitely not a second date. It’s easy to confuse it as one, especially when they start talking and get to know each other more, what their families are like, favorite foods, hobbies. Just questions to get to know each other better, as friends of course.
😏😏😏
“So when are you going to make things official with Alejandro?”
“Nice to see you too Heather. Courtney’s over at Trent’s.”
“Dodge the question again. I dare you.”
“Al and I are just friends.”
“Woah. This is serious.”
“What?”
“Alejandro doesn’t just let anyone call him Al. He hates being called that…”
“Yeah I know cause José’s a douche… stop looking at me like that.”
“And you’re still trying to convince me there’s nothing there?”
“He doesn’t like me like that and I don’t see him that way. We’re just friends.”
“You two are impossible I swear.”
😏😏😏
“Courtney? Heather’s not…”
“I’m not here for her, what are your intentions towards Duncan?”
“I don’t know what…”
“Don't finish that sentence. You guys have been dating for the past two months. Is this just a fling? I need to know how invested I need to be in this. Duncan’s been through a lot already…”
“I know, his parents, really his dad is an asshole.”
“He told you that…”
“Yeah, of course he did. I know about his time in juvie too, he had a crush on…”
“Dylan. Alright, I guess we’re done here.”
“You’re just gonna leave now?”
“Yep. Oh and by the way, his birthday is coming up…”
“This saturday.”
“Exactly… and I’ll be busy working overtime that day which means I’ll probably end up crashing at Trent’s since it’s so much closer to the office…”
“Didn’t you request his birthday off months in advance.”
“He doesn’t know that.”
😏😏😏
A whole year passes and somehow Duncan and Alejandro are still in denial. They act like a couple, invading each other’s space, giving each other gifts for birthdays and anniversaries, and holding hands in public. Courtney and Heather have both caught them on five separate occasions of them in promising positions with red lips and hickes they tried to hide. It’s exhausting getting them to admit they like each other and are together in a relationship. At this rate, the girls have given up, as long as they’re happy.
😏😏😏
“You’re going to smudge your mascara, I thought you used the waterproof one.”
“Guess I grabbed the wrong one. I’m surprised you’re not crying? How did I become the emotional one.”
“Probably because I’m still annoyed at them for denying they’re relationship when they’re literally getting married right now! Who does that?”
“Let it go Court, they just don’t want to admit we’re right.”
“Okay, but doing this for tax breaks is a lousy excuse. Just like when they were claiming they wanted to save more money by moving in together when our leases were nearing its end.”
“Boys, what are you going to do. Speaking of…”
“This is their day Heather. Look at those two. I swear they’ve only had eyes for each other since the day at the diner.”
“About that…”
“... no… you’re kidding!”
“Fate works in mysterious ways. Who would’ve known they met when they were kids and never forgot about each other.”
“Well that explains why they were so drawn to each other in the first place.”
Duncan and Alejandro both gave a special smile to their former roommates finally acknowledging that they were right to think there was something more to their friendship. Funny how they kept trying to convince themselves there was nothing there when it couldn’t be farther from the truth. They were always meant to meet and continue falling together.

Summary: Emily Fox is a talented 17-year-old with a passion for all things music. Her dream is to become a successful singer-songwriter one day. But to achieve that dream, she needs to get into one of the most prestigious music schools in her district – it’s all been part of her plan since she was six. Sadly enough, those schools cost a ton of money that her parents don’t want to invest. They don’t even want her to pursue her dream. So, now Emily’s hustling, working at the music store to save up to get into college. That’s until she meets Charlie, an annoying seventeen-year-old boy with the same dream as her. The only difference is, he’s just doing it. He doesn’t need a fancy college to pursue his dream to become famous with his band. He just writes his songs and books small gigs here, there and everywhere. Will meeting Charlie defer her from her dream college, or will he actually help her achieve the dream?
Pairing: Charlie Gillespie x OC (Emily Fox)
Warnings: mentions of death, sexual assault
Important note: the characters of Charlie, Owen, Jeremy and Madison are based on the characters they play on the show and i do not own their names, only OC are mine. The songs aren’t mine either, they’re all from the show except for one.

Chapter thirteen
~|Emily Fox|~
“Good morning, party girl!” Uncle Mitch shouts a little too loudly on a Sunday morning. “You look rough.” I sit down at the kitchen table on the opposite of him. “Gee thanks,” I rub my face harshly, then rest my head on my hand with my eyes shut. “You got in late last night. Didn’t think you’d stick around at a Brianna Holly party for so long. It surprised me you went in the first place, but you know, you do you.” My eyes shoot open at the reminder of last night. Jake’s eyes. Jake’s hands. On me. Jake’s lips. On me. “I shouldn’t have gone,” I tell him honestly which only earns me a worried look. “I mean, it was fun teasing Brianna a little and standing up for myself and playing a song with the boys but then Jake…” I trail off, not wanting to talk about it but Mitch and I are all about the open-book-policy. Talk about anything and everything with each other even if it might worry the other. Better to share the load than take all of it on one’s shoulders. “What did he do?” Uncle Mitch’s voice sounds darker, heavier. Almost villainous. “He was talking about how great we used to be and that he wanted it back, I think? I don’t really remember what we’d talked about, all I know for sure is that he’d tried to kiss me. The boys had to literally tear him off me.” Mitch’s eyes are intense, but at least he’s not trying to go and murder Jake. “We left pretty much straight after that and the boys took me to the Music Store. We stayed there, talking, pretty much all night.” I smile at the memory because even though what preceded that beautiful moment was literally the worst thing, it’s still a moment to cherish forever. “I’m glad those boys were there to help you out. They sound like great friends.” I smile a little and nod determinedly. “Wish I could hear you guys play.” “We’re having band practice later tonight, if you want to come and li—” I can’t even finish my sentence, because Mitch has already gotten up excitedly, dancing around the kitchen – though I wouldn’t call that dancing – and running up to me to hug me tightly. “But first!” He lifts a finger in the air. “Let’s grab all the snacks and watch some movies!” I nod excitedly and get up to gather up some snacks. With hot cocoas and all the chocolate in the world, we settle onto the sofa with blankets wrapped around us and Disney+ open to pick a movie since today is Disney day. We alternate between Disney+ and Netflix, one week Disney, the other non-Disney. “Can we watch Aladdin?” I suggest, mainly because it reminds me of mine and Charlie’s moment on the balcony, unbeknownst to my uncle. It’s been a little while since we’d made out on the balcony. Might have to suggest it soon. Mama needs her sugar. “Your uncle Bobby loved that movie,” Mitch comments as he presses play, “Do you remember you two singing A Whole New World together when you were really young, and he gave you a bath?” I nod my head at the far, but beautiful, memory. “That first weekend I came to stay at this house?” Mitch nods his head, “Yeah, I used to make a Sultan out of Bobby with the bubbles.” Uncle Mitch laughs at the memory. “The bathroom was such a mess after that!” I can’t help but laugh at the desperation in Mitch’s voice. “But you two were the cutest duetters alive. I loved having you around when you were really young too, you know? Still so innocent, not knowing how big and bad the world was. It made me forget about the big, bad world too.” I smile at him and rest my head on his shoulder. I don’t know what I’d do without Uncle Mitch. Live on a street, I guess? Probably? He might not be family by blood, but he sure does feel like it. I never knew anyone being with Uncle Bobby than Mitch. They were my one true pairing. I wanted someone to love me the same way they loved – and still love – each other. Their bond is unbreakable.
“Ready to go, Mitchy?” I ask when we’re both changed out of our pajama’s after dinner, ready to head to Jeremy’s garage for band practice. It’s the first time we’ll be rehearsing in his garage, but I’m excited to find out where Sunset Curve previously used to rehearse. Pre me. “Yes! I am ready to partaaaay!” I roll my eyes at him, an amused smile on my face. “Behave though? Don’t go and embarrass me on the first day meeting them, okay?” “Yes, mom.” Mitch can be such a child, but I love that about him. “Boys?” I knock on the wooden door that’s ajar. There’s some rummaging inside, but nothing else. I push it open to find all three boys inside already. Charlie’s sorting through his loose songbook papers, Jeremy is tuning his bass, and Owen just sitting on the couch, playing around with his drumsticks. “Hey! I brought my uncle; I hope you don’t mind?” “Oh, not at all!” Jeremy says, and gets up from his spot on the armchair. “Hey, I’m Jeremy,” he introduces himself with a smile, reaching his hand for my uncle to shake, which he does. My uncle has this look on his face that I recognize as his gaydar. He literally scans people to find out their sexuality. His gaydar is very accurate. “Mitch, nice to meet you.” Owen gets up next, shaking my uncle’s hand too. “I’m Owen, the drummer,” he shows the sticks in his hand. “I see,” Mitch replies with a smile, and then comes Charlie. “Hey, I’m Charlie, I’m—” he points at me, and I know what he’s going to say, but I can’t have him tell my uncle about us yet. “The lead singer!” I chime in and give him a knowing look. “Right, yeah, the lead singer,” Charlie looks kind of hurt, and it breaks my heart in two as well. Just an us-thing, for now. Then it can be an everyone-thing. I hope he understands. “Nice to meet you, guys!” Mitch then leans closer to me, “And which one of the two cute semi-straight boys is the Cutie from the Music Store?” he whispers with Charlie just a few feet away. His head turns slightly and his mouth curls upwards. He heard Mitch. “Semi-straight?” I ask for an explanation. “Jeremy is questionable.” “Right…” I trail off, still whispering, “Let’s get to work, guys,” I speak up now, so the band knows I’m talking to them. Uncle Mitch looks a little hurt at me ignoring his question, though I’m pretty sure he knows it’s Charlie. “What song first?” Charlie queries while my uncle takes a seat on the couch and we get ready. “Why don’t we let the guest choose?” Jeremy suggests, pointing at my uncle. “Me?” I nod my head, encouraging him. I’d told them all the songs we’d made or already sang together. Which are three, four if you count This Band Is Back. “I really liked Perfect Harmony when Ems showed it to me the other day.” Charlie and I exchange a glance, a shy smile plastered on his face, and I’m pretty sure mine mirrors his. He goes to grab his acoustic guitar for this one. “Perfect Harmony it is, then!” Owen says and counts us in. Where Charlie and I imagined the soft beat and melody, that’s where Owen and Jeremy come in with the drums and bass. We’d only practiced this one a couple of times before. It still has the same, electric vibe it did when Charlie and I sang it alone. I still feel the same sparks, the same tingles rushing over my body. “I feel your rhythm in my heart, yeah,” I sing without taking my eyes off of him. “You are my brightest, burning star, woah-woah” “I never knew a love so real” “So real,” he echoes. “We're heaven on earth, melody and words When we are together we're In perfect harmony Woah, woah Perfect harmony Woah, woah Perfect harmony” I glance at Uncle Mitch. He’s staring at us with so much pride and intensity. When he catches my glance, he mouths “Cutie from the Music Store”, which makes me smile like an idiot. He knows. “We say we're friends We play pretend You're more to me We create a perfect harmony” Uncle Mitch gets up off his seat, clapping and whooping like an intense fan. “My favorite song ever! So beautiful!” he shouts in between cheers. We play Now or Never, and, upon Jeremy’s request, This Band is Back before calling in a break. “I need a wee,” I say and patter towards the bathroom in the back. When I’m about to head back inside, I hear the boys playing a song I haven’t heard before. Or at least I don’t think I have. It intrigues me even more when I hear Mitch’s voice through the microphone. “Let me introduce myself We got some time to kill Consider me the pearly gates to your new favorite thrills We could go make history or you could rest in peace But here there ain't no misery Cause on the other side we live like kings” I find the boys in their regular spots, Uncle Mitch probably having told them what chord to play in or something. Either that or they’re just playing around, and Mitch’s song just matches. “Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do? Let your body loose, let your body loose Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do? Show you a thing or two 'Cause you ain't seen nothing” That’s when I recognize the song. It’s the one Uncle Bobby wrote for a Halloween musical at his school once. It was the villain song of the whole story and stuck in all our heads for months. I still know the words, and thus decide to sing along with my uncle, much to the boys’ surprise. “Life is good on the other side of Hollywood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood So welcome to the brotherhood Where you won't be misunderstood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood” I get behind the keyboard and play a couple of notes, leaving the verse for my uncle. “Everything has got a price but happiness is free Just so happens, you're in luck We've got a vacancy We can set the night on fire and break out of the scene Your soul print on the walk of fame On the boulevard of your wildest dreams” I now grab a mic too, properly wanting to join in now. “Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do boys? Let your body loose, let your body loose Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do boys? It ain't bragging if it's true Now you ain't seen nothing” I walk up to Jeremy whilst I sing along to the chorus and Jeremy’s shredding the bass. “Life is good on the other side of Hollywood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood” I walk over to the drumkit and jam out for a moment with Owen. “So welcome to the brotherhood Where you won't be misunderstood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood” I then move to Charlie while my uncle gets to the bridge. The boys stop playing and clap along with me. “The rain don't blind the rising souls They got too much to see I got your glamour, got your gold Got all you'll ever need Let me hear you now!” The boys have somehow remembered the lyrics my uncle just sang, and sing them with me now. “The rain don't blind the rising souls They got too much to see” “Yeah,” Mitch goes for a high note, chilling my spine. “I got your glamour, got your gold Got all you'll ever need,” the four of us continue. “Yeah,” Another high note from Mitch. The boys now pick up their instruments again. “I said watch me make a move, watch me make a move boys” “Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do?” the boys and I echo. “I said watch me make a move, no, I don't disappoint” “Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do?” “Watch me make a move I'm ya number one choice” “Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do?” “Watch me make a move Come one and give me that noise” The boys take a break. “A tomb with a view Ain't it something?” And pick it back up with a bit of bass before all three of them join in again, and even join me into singing the backing vocals for my uncle. “Life is good on the other side of Hollywood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood So welcome to the brotherhood Where you won't be misunderstood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood So welcome to the brotherhood Where you won't be misunderstood Life is good on the other side of Hollywood” Charlie and Jeremy stop playing and leave Owen a little drum solo.
“Ain't it the best? Long live the dead!” Mitch shouts out dramatically, and then Owen goes off again on his drums. “I thought your Uncle Robert was the musically talented one?” Charlie asks with an impressed smile on his face. “How do you think we met? It was musical night in our favorite bar, and we sang a song together. That first scene in High School Musical?” The boys nod, knowing what he’s talking about, “It’s based on our story… Just straight.” The boys laugh light-heartedly at his story. “That’s not true,” I whisper, making them laugh even more. “That was a fun song though! How did you know it?” Jeremy asks me. “Uncle Bobby wrote it. He is – was – the music teacher at this high school and he wanted a cool villain song for the villain in his Halloween musical, so he wrote himself one. The song used to be stuck in our heads for months on end. It surprised me I still knew it.” “The boys were playing around with their instruments and it reminded me of Bobby’s song,” Mitch tells me, “I couldn’t help but chime in and start singing.” He wraps an arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to him. “It’s such a tune,” I say with a smile, “I think Bobby would’ve liked us singing it together.” “I think so too,” says Mitch and he presses a kiss to my hair. “Let’s get home now, yeah? Give your boyfriend a kiss and we’re off.” Charlie and I freeze, neither of us expecting Uncle Mitch to know about this since I never told him. “Oh, come on. You could not sing Perfect Harmony without staring at each other like that heart eyes emoji-thingy. I don’t only have amazing gaydar, I also have amazing love-dar.” He winks at me as I shake my head in disbelieve, but I can’t help the smile either. My uncle knows me well. “See you tomorrow, guys,” I say with the most awkward wave. I mean, I’m not going to kiss Charlie in front of my uncle. Especially when he specifically told me to do so. That’s just weird. Uncle Mitch gives me a look, which I shoot back. He then rolls his eyes. “I’ll meet you outside. Say goodbye properly.” He leaves the garage, and then it’s the four of us. Neither Charlie nor I move, still unsure of the public displays of affection in front of the boys. “Seriously?” Jeremy groans before leaving the garage with Owen. They’ll be able to entertain my uncle for a while. I don’t even know why it’s so hard for me to show PDA. It never used to be this way with Jake. But maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe us taking it slowly and not showing us off too much is healthy for us. “I’ll see you at the store tomorrow?” I ask whilst the two of us slowly walk up to each other, inching closer and closer by the second. “Definitely,” he replies with a smile. Once we’re inches away, he grabs my hands in his. “Isn’t your uncle going to be annoyed you didn’t tell him sooner?” I shrug. “I don’t think so. He knows how private I am about relationships. And besides, you heard him, he’s got amazing love-dar.” Charlie’s laughter intertwines with mine. “I think he knew before today already too. He’s all-knowing.” “As long as he doesn’t know about our sneaky dates on your balcony, I think we might be fine.” I chuckle at that comment, and then both of us fall silent. “He probably knows this’ll happen though.” The words come out just above a whisper as he inches closer and dips down. His lips meet mine in a sweet, somewhat long-lasting kiss. “I’m pretty sure they’re eavesdropping, though,” I say when we pull away. “No, we’re not!” Jeremy shouts from the other side of the door. “Yeah, definitely,” says Charlie, and he lets go of one hand, intertwining the fingers of his other hand with the one he’s still holding. He leads me out the door and then lets go of that hand too. “She’s all yours, Mitch,” he tells my uncle, and reaches out the hand he’d just held mine with for a handshake. “Hey!” I shout, “I’m no property!” Both Charlie and Mitch raise their hands in defense. “Yes, girl! Tell ‘em!” Owen preaches, holding his hand up and I slap mine on it in a high five. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” I kiss Charlie’s cheek quickly and then leave the boys with Uncle Mitch. “They’re really nice boys, Muffin. I’m glad you’ve found them.” I smile at that. “Me too, Mitchy, me too.”

Spirited Away Review
Tumblr media
Yeah yeah this movie didn't come out this year, but I saw for the first time this year in when our theater rereleased it, and I want to review it. Not gonna be the last rerelease I do this with either. I don't care, rules are for losers. I'm just not gonna try to CATCH every rerelease, anyway. If I see one I'll review it.
Some of you at this point must be saying "What? You've never seen Spirited Away? It's like the best movie, certainly the best Ghibli movie, EVER!" I know, I know. I love animation a lot, but unfortunately Studio Ghibli is a bit of a blind spot for me. I don't really care for anime, but honestly Ghibli transcends that bias. I just never have a chance to catch them when they come to theaters. I'm trying to do better, I watched The Boy an the Heron when it came out, otherwise before this review I've only seen My Neighbor Totoro and Ponyo. I enjoyed all of those, although I was pretty much the perfect age for Ponyo when it came out in America.
What's The Movie About?
Whenever I ask anyone about Spirited Away, they always just told me to go see it. I assumed for the longest time that the plot of Spirited Away was just something no one wanted to spoil, like it was so surprising or full of twists that an synopsis would ruin the experience. Bullshit, watch this:
Spirited Away is about a little girl who accidently ends up in the spirit world, has her parents turn to pigs, and has to work in a bathhouse from spirits while devising a way to escape her situation. Boom. That easy, nothing major spoiled.
What I Like.
Well, first off, it's a Studio Ghibli film, so the animation is spectacular. It's always full of just little touches to movement that brings a realism and attention to detail. I really like how character's run in Ghibli movies, the sudden speed and energy that is a drastic change to the deliberate movement present in most scenes. The story is alright, but the backdrop of Japanese mythology is great. I love that all the spirits have interesting designs and a depth to even the simplest designs that makes the spirit world interesting. I really like the design of the bathhouse. Mundane locations that appear infinite but not repetitive are really interesting to me, I dunno. The narrative of the movie wasn't the best thing I've seen, but it was expertly paced and almost everything was set up and paid off masterfully (Almost...) I weirdly got pretty invested in the side characters too.
What I Didn't Like.
I really did not like for the romance between Sen and Haku. When it was first brought up, I honestly thought all the characters were either making fun of the main character or were senile, but no, I guess the third grader is in love with the ancient spirit of a river she almost drowned in. (At least they didn't kiss.) Speaking of which, that little tidbit of the of the character's backstory came completely out of nowhere. That a real shame considering how most of the rest of the story is set up so well. I feel a lot of the Sen/Chihiro character is bland, and almost Mary-Sue-y in parts. I mean, it's not egregious, she spends a good amount of the movie falling over or smacking her face on things. But it does feel like for 3/4ths of the movie all her problems are solved because a spirit gives her something or because of luck. And while I think all the Japanese mythology is a cool backdrop to the movie, if you're like me and don't know hardly anything about it, you'll be very confused about certain things. Am I supposed to know what No Face is? I looked it up and all I found was that he was a metaphor for the main character's loneliness, but the characters in the movie talk like the audience is supposed to know what kind of spirit a No Face is.
Final Summation.
Every person who told me this is the best movie ever is a weeb. Maybe the onus is on me, I tend to be overly critical of anything that people tell me is "the best thing ever". Most of the time it's because the "best thing ever" isn't actually good (cough cough Dark Knight cough), but other times I feel like I go out of my way to find issues with something that is perfectly fine. Good even. But is it not the duty of a media critic to find issues are determine whether the media is entertaining enough to overcome those issues?
I'm overthinking this. Is Spirited Away good? Yes, obviously. Is it great? Uh... Y-yeah, I'd be okay with saying that. Is it the best movie ever? God no. I wouldn't say it's the best Japanese movie ever, or even the best Miyazaki movie I've ever seen. But it is worth your time to watch if it is something that interests you. Just don't let a white person who desperately wants to be Japanese convince you that missing out on watching this movie is like missing the birth of your child or something.

Pairing: Nanami Kento x OC Word Count: 1.7K Warnings: illness, distant relationship with parents, cheating, low self-confidence A/N: As promised, this chapter is from Olivia’s perspective. I’m still trying to figure out the POV for Part 4. Possibly both...? We’ll see! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy. 😊
Tumblr media
When Olivia wakes, it takes her a moment to figure out where she is. Definitely not in her bed. Slowly blinking, her TV comes into focus, and she can feel the early morning sunlight through the balcony windows. Okay. The couch. Easy enough. But why does it feel so... warm?
When she turns her head, she immediately freezes, eyes wide. Lying beneath her, head resting on a throw pillow, is Nanami.
Her brain is slow and sleepy as she struggles to recall the previous night. Soup. Medicine. Movie. And... Oh no. She had fallen asleep. And then he had fallen asleep. And now she’s lying on top of him.
To say she’s never thought about being in this position would be a lie. But now faced with the reality of it, she’s not sure what to do. Every muscle in her body feels rigid with nerves, and she can’t seem to look away from his face. His expression is softened by sleep, lips slightly parted, hair falling across his forehead... Looking this good so early in the morning — while asleep — should be illegal.
Olivia feels heat rising in her cheeks the longer she stares. And it only intensifies when she realizes that his arms are around her, holding her body tight against his.
She knows she should wake him up. But he looks so peaceful, in a way she’s not sure he ever does while he’s awake. Since the day she met him, she has been learning him, from his body language to the almost-imperceptible shifts in his expression, including his rare, soft smiles. She has grown attentive to all of his details and mannerisms.
Because Olivia Vale has a bad habit. And his name is Nanami Kento.
• • •
It wasn’t every day that a man walked into her bookshop and just happened to pick up a copy of one of her favorite books.
During those two hours that he sat at the back window, completely immersed in Homer’s Odyssey, Olivia had kept busy, occasionally sneaking glances at him as she shelved titles — as if to reassure herself that he wasn’t just a figment of her imagination.
It didn’t help that he was handsome. Dressed in a tailored tan suit and that speckled tie, his light hair combed neatly back from his face, which was sculpted like a piece of fine art — prominent cheekbones, strong jawline, serious mouth... Repeatedly, she reminded herself that he was a customer. Ogling him, while enjoyable, was inappropriate. Besides, if she had to guess — and when it came to reading people, she was usually right — he was in desperate need of some peace and quiet. And she was happy to give that to him, at least until she broke down and offered him a cup of tea.
And then something unexpected happened. He kept coming back. As the weeks passed, she learned more about him, and he became a friend rather than a customer. (But he still bought books, almost every time he came in.)
He worked as a consultant. He didn’t share many details, but it seemed like a sensitive subject, so she never pushed. Even though he always entered her shop wearing a peculiar pair of armless sunglasses — and had worn them through their entire first meeting — he would now take them off and tuck them into his jacket pocket when they sat down to talk. He wasn’t very close with his family. His parents split their time between Japan and Denmark, where his grandfather lived. He was an admitted foodie with a soft spot for bread. This was proven when he walked in one afternoon carrying a whole bag of baguettes from the café next door. He was generally patient, but he sometimes griped about an unnamed coworker — a man with plenty of talent but an obnoxious demeanor.
She learned that he’s sharply intelligent and earnest. But he’s also kind and thoughtful, asking her questions about her life and the books she loves most and things she’s always wished she could talk about with another person.
It took her a while to admit to herself that she had feelings for him that went beyond simple friendship. Now, she’s still grappling with the knowledge, afraid of ruining what they have between them. But it also doesn’t help that her last relationship completely crashed and burned. Finding out that her boyfriend of two years had been cheating on her for one of them, with her former college roommate... Well, it didn’t exactly leave her feeling eager to jump into something new. Instead, she was hesitant and nervous, doubting her perceptiveness for the first time in her life. Because if she had been wrong about him, what if she was wrong about the next person who came along?
She hasn’t been on a date in over a year, despite the florist next door continually insisting on setting Olivia up with her investment banker son. She honestly didn’t think much about it until now. While the fear remains, stubbornly persistent, she knows that Nanami is different. And she knows him — trusts what she sees in him every time he visits. They’ve spent enough hours talking and learning about one another to nearly qualify as several dates. Just minus the actual “date” part...
It was only a week ago that they sat downstairs, each reading a different book, listening to the faint sounds of jazz on her father’s old record player. And she decided there and then that she needed to take a leap of faith. Even if the idea of doing so was terrifying.
• • •
“Morning.”
Nanami’s voice brings her back to the present, and she looks up, meeting his sleepy gaze. Seriously, it’s criminal, how good he looks right now, she silently grumbles. And it’s impossible not to notice that he has yet to attempt to extricate himself from beneath her — or even loosen his firm grip around her waist.
“Hi.”
They stare at each other for a long moment, until her anxious brain interrupts. He’s still waking up. You need to be the responsible one here, before you do something stupid.
With a small, awkward laugh, she gently pushes away from him, and he releases her. She climbs off the couch, until she’s sitting on the floor beside him. “I guess we were both pretty tired.”
She watches as he sits up. Runs a hand through his hair. Looks down at himself, blearily taking in his wrinkled shirt and comically-loose tie. “Seems like it.” He looks at her with concern. “How are you feeling?”
“Better than I sound, I promise.” It’s the truth. Although her voice is still weak from all the coughing, her body has fewer aches and chills than it did when she woke up yesterday. And much to her private embarrassment, she’s fairly certain she slept better here, on the couch with him, than she has in weeks.
“Are you hungry?”
“Why? Are you going to pull some breakfast out of your magic grocery bag?”
He snorts. “I was going to offer to cook something.”
Oh no... Her heart couldn’t handle this. He came over when she was sick, brought her soup and a literal armful of supplies, spent the night in her apartment (even though that was an accident), and now he’s going to cook for her?
She’s done for.
But what she says is, “Sure. You’re welcome to use whatever’s in there.”
He nods and stands, pulling his tie off and tossing it over his jacket. His movements seem different as he continues to wake up — less precise, softer. When he rolls up his sleeves, revealing lean, muscular forearms, she feels faint.
Okay, now she’s done for.
He ends up using some of the ingredients she had purchased for her next solo cooking adventure. And, in what seems like an absurdly short amount of time, they’re sitting at the dining table, eating rice, miso soup, grilled fish, and freshly-sliced fruit. When he pours her a cup of green tea, she feels like her heart might burst. She never knew he was so domestic, and it has her in a flustered panic.
“You’re an amazing cook,” she says, to both show sincere appreciation and distract herself.
“Thank you.” He smiles, pleased by the compliment. “I find it enjoyable. But usually I’m just cooking for myself.”
“Even when I keep you out late on Fridays?” she teases.
“Most of the time. Sometimes I pick up food on my way home.”
Say it. Just say it. See what he says and go from there... Olivia’s mouth manages to form the words, but she struggles to look at him as she says, “Maybe next time... we can eat together? Go someplace? You can pick. I’m sure you know all the best places...”
She has very rarely seen Nanami look surprised, but here he is, eyes widened, looking as if he’s struggling to make sense of what exactly she’s trying to say. (It’s adorably apparent that he is not a morning person.)
Before she can talk herself out of it, she continues, “Like a... a date, maybe. Dinner. Together.”
Realistically, she knows the silence only lasts for a few brief moments. But it somehow feels like an eternity, during which her brain begins to backpedal, thinking, What if he doesn’t want that? What if it’s too soon? You do realize you’re asking him out in your pajamas, right? Speaking of which, when’s the last time you brushed your hair?
And then: “Yes.”
She must look as shocked as she feels, because he lets out a short huff of a laugh, and... is he blushing?
“It’s a date,” he reiterates. “But —” He points his chopsticks at her. “— that’s only if you rest. You’re still sick, even if you’re feeling a little better today.”
She’s positive that she would do anything he asked at this point, with her whole body seeming to vibrate at the word “date.”
They finish breakfast, and when she offers to help with the dishes, Nanami gives her a pointed look, silently banishing her to the couch while he cleans up. Once he’s finished, he collects his tie and jacket and stands there, looking somewhat reluctant to leave.
“If there’s anything else you need, tell me. I don’t live far from here.”
“You’ve already done more than enough,” she assures him. “I really appreciate it.”
True to his word, not much time passes before she receives a text from him.
Tumblr media
She falls back onto the couch, eyes glued to that one little word on the screen — date — and wonders how she’s going to make it through the next six days.

TROS Reaction 12-20-19. AKA my 6 page long dissertation about why I really disliked TROS.
I didn’t think it would be this bad. I truly thought there would be some gleaming moments of redeemability, but no. It’s one...giant...shit-show. What a horrible blow to the end of not only the sequel trilogy and these characters but to everything that came before. It really takes skill to mess up this badly.
A little something nice though, was the guy I sat next to. Really nice (and cute too ^-^ ) and he offered me some of his candy (Buncha Crunch! My favorite!) before the film started and then throughout the film because he said, “Well this is consolation for having to sit next to me.” Aw I couldn’t have asked for a better seat partner, I didn’t even know him! And then when the film ended he knew I didn’t take it well and I cried and shook through many moments and he offered the rest of his candy and I said, “Thanks, I think I need it.” I asked him what he thought overall and he said, “C-3P0 was pretty funny.” I said, “Yeah I agree. I actually knew everything that happened before I saw it, and I thought it was a mess.” He chuckled and said, “Me too, but I didn’t want to say anything in case you liked it.” I said, “Oh, no, I didn’t really like it. But I gotta be honest, Ben Solo didn’t deserve to die. That’s just my opinion.” I think he was surprised by that but didn’t disagree. He just kinda nodded or something and then we said goodbye and he left with his buddies, who also seemed pretty unenthused by the whole movie. Hopefully I gave him something to think about with my comment, but he was really nice and I’m glad he sat next to me.
Pessimism aside for now, I’ll start by listing the things I liked. I gotta be honest, there’s not much here.
Reylo is canon! But, in my opinion, it was handled pretty badly. Ben’s death is only the start of the problems for it, but more on that later.
C-3P0 is funny I guess. Yes he is annoying sometimes like usual, but not more so than other times.
D-O is freaking adorable. Out of everything good I’ve listed I have no qualms with this one. His manner is cute, his speaking is very funny, and his actions are just precious.
Babu Frik is very cute too, just perfect! Lovely little puppet! Don’t know why he was shoehorned in at the end battle but whatever. We never saw him again.
Maz is a puppet now? Okay, cool. Wish that would’ve been the case since the beginning. You had the technology JJ.
The music is good, when it’s given its own time to shine and be noticed. I feel like I barely noticed it was there because sound effects just drowned it out. Really wasted, but still good nonetheless.
Leia’s death and how it affected Ben. Wow. This was the first moment I truly cried. This was handled very well by Adam Driver, and then Maz saying “Goodbye, Princess.” Ouch, that got me.
Ben talking to the memory of his father! This is something I did not know was in the movie and boy am I glad I wasn’t spoiled for it! THIS is where the really hard tears and sobbing came. I was literally shaking and shivering trying to keep it in so as not to disturb everyone else. This. Part. Was. Perfect. Ben looks at him like he wants to say “I love you,” and Han says out loud “I know.” *crazy screaming and crying* Out of all the things they got wrong for Ben in this film, THIS they got right!
Ben Solo is the Solo boy we always wanted. Running in with a t-shirt, gun slinging, blasting opponents without even looking. THIS is a true son of Solo! But of course they give him no lines except “Ow.” THAT was a bad idea.
And that’s it. Yes those are the only things I even remotely liked, but I have to be honest, each one of these has some kind of problem attached to it which sours the real enjoyment.
On to what I disliked. Strap in lads, this is going to be a long ride.
1. The pacing. OH. MY. GOSH. SLOW. THE. FUCK. DOWN. For fucks sake I couldn’t even process what the hell was happening before we were on to the next thing! This was the biggest problem with the movie, BY FAR. Yes I know the story is terrible, we’ll get to that, but the pacing just completely took me out of the movie. I couldn’t feel invested in anything because it was all in one ear and out the other like ten-fold!
And this is part of the issue I have with how Reylo was handled. It. Felt. So. Rushed. And. Unfinished. There weren’t enough scenes with them and the scenes we did get were so fast and then over with that it felt like no progress was being made at all! It felt, for lack of a better word, unearned. And I know, that’s not really the case since they’ve had plenty of build-up in the last 2 films, but there wasn’t enough time with them spent NOT fighting and hating each other and opposing each other. Yes, I know, Kylo kept trying to get Rey to take his hand, but it doesn’t feel genuine because even Kylo feels out of character, and Rey too, big time. Now this isn’t the actor’s faults, they did what they could with the shitty story they were given, so I put all this blame at JJ’s desk.
In any case the overall film pacing was too fast, too much, too soon, too many things onscreen, too many things happening at once, not enough character, not enough motivation, not enough letting scenes breathe and just play out naturally. Everything felt forced for the sake of the “plot.” Oh we gotta get this thing, and then that thing, to get this thing, so we can defeat these guys! LET. US. BREATHE.
2. The story. My gosh, they couldn’t have picked a worse storyline to follow. Everything truly felt like it was written by a fanboy who wanted to retcon everything in TLJ, even down to the dialogue. Everyone keeps saying to Rey “You’re a Palpatine.” But it sounds SO strange, like nobody says things like this. I get it, it’s a space fantasy, they talk weird mumbo jumbo but it just sounds like a fanboy ghost wrote this. Like we gotta have everyone know now she’s a Palpatine! You’re a Palpatine! You’re a Palpatine! Palpatine heir! All bow down to the Palpatine! Give me a break.
3. Yeah, let’s talk about Palps. The old raisin himself. You know, I never really liked ROTS, but Palps was always a great thing about it. He was sinister, diabolical, he had a plan and knew what to do with it. But this Palps. *le heavy sigh* What a waste this was. For one thing, the lightning effects that lights up his face is really annoying, even for someone who doesn’t get seizures, I can’t even imagine what it’s like for those who do, I’m so sorry. And like, he has this whole legion of Sith followers? The fuck? Where the hell were these guys before? I’m sure they existed BEFORE the last Sith Lord died, right?
I digress. I have a question though: why does he want Rey so much? Why didn’t he try to get his son to take over? Wouldn’t that have been easier? Also, WHO DID HE FUCK TO GET A SON?? HOW DID HIS SON GET AWAY FROM HIM?? WHY DID HIS SON APPARENTLY TURN TO THE LIGHT?? THERE’S TOO MANY QUESTIONS HERE AND NO GOOD EXPLANATIONS. AND NO DISNEY, I DON’T WANT A 10-PART COMIC ON THIS. GO FUCK YOURSELVES.
The only interesting thing about Palps in this film is that his face gets melted off like a Raiders of the Lost Ark knock-off. He better not be coming back. Ever again.
4. And hey, while we’re on the subject, let’s talk about Rey’s parents. So apparently they’re both good people. *le sigh* But what kind of good people leave their daughter alone on a harsh and unforgiving planet with a blubber guy? And don’t tell me they didn’t know he was an abusive asshole, they LIVED on Jakku, they HAD to have known him, ESPECIALLY if they truly were junk traders, they would have DEALT with him. Oh, and apparently the “I’ll come back for you sweetheart, I promise” line is changed up a bit and given to her father after all. No. Screw that. That line was meant for Ben, I don’t care how petty this sounds, this is terrible. So yeah, fuck Rey’s parents, I don’t care how “good” you try to make their intentions, they’re badly shoehorned in and they screw up anyway. Next.
5. Ben’s story and his fate. So yeah, obviously I hate that Ben died, but more than that I hate how his story was handled here. It was so rushed, it didn’t feel as natural as it should have. It needed time to BREATHE. A lot of time! And I feel like they really shafted Kylo/Ben’s story off to the side to give more time to the hereby named GoldenTrio. (You know who I mean...we’ll get to them.) It really seemed like JJ didn’t even care about Ben’s fate anymore, and just kind of put it in as an afterthought. His death scene? Not even given a fucking minute to process because WE GOT TO PARTAY. All in all, his whole story is so terribly sad that I don’t even know if I can watch TFA or TLJ anymore, knowing how it ends.
6. The GoldenTrio. Oh for fucks sake, JJ, you should have killed Poe off when you had the chance, because now the story is all about THEM. Boom! They’re literally front and center in the movie. I don’t even think Reylo gets as much screen time as them. I mean really, Ben’s death scene and Rey’s grieving gets 1.5 minutes, tops. GoldenTrio reunion and threesome hugging? 5 fucking minutes of nothing but them hugging. I’m not even exaggerating. (Okay maybe I am, but it’s given more focus and time to “breathe” than Ben Solo’s fucking death. I’m getting a headache remembering it.)
Hey, remember in ESB and ROTJ where the trio got split up and had their own story lines and own purposes to fulfill without each other hanging around (apart from Han and Leia because their story lines are interconnected)? Yeah, I miss that too.
Also, Rey keeps wandering off being “pulled” to something, and every...single...time, Finn is like “Rey, wait! Poe we gotta get her! rEy CoMe BaCk!!” This happens at least 5 times, pretty consecutively too. It gets old real fast. Boy do I miss the days of TLJ where people got to be away from each other to discover new things without interference.
Which leads me to another point: They tried to shove FinnRey in here while shitting on FinnRose quite literally. What. A. Slap. To. The. Face. This is horrible treatment, and I hope Kelly will never do another interview for Lucasfilm again. She doesn’t deserve this.
7. The Ending™. Wow. What a way to show that your characters haven’t progressed at all by showing them in the same environment that they started in. Let’s do an overview: Rey starts out alone on a desert planet and meets a droid that isn’t hers. Rey ends up alone on a desert planet with a droid that still isn’t hers. PROGRESSION 101!! *slaps forehead* I mean, don’t even get me started on the fact that Ben isn’t there with her and that literally one half of her soul is gone (how is she not in agony right now??), but then to add more salt to the wound she’s just like “oh yeah I must be the rightful successor to the Skywalker name, even tho I’m a Palps...makes sense to me!” Fuck off. You don’t deserve that title after hating Luke for not doing what you wanted him to do and for hating Ben for most of this movie too.
Can we also acknowledge that this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST POSSIBLE WAY TO END A 40 YEAR SAGA AND FAMILY LEGACY? So, Palps had a kid who had a kid. This kid is then deemed a-okay by the family that was affected most by Palps and they welcome her like the sunshine child she is, yet shun their own offspring for being damaged goods because he was being manipulated by said Palps. Okay, it’s official now, everyone’s an asshole...except Ben. He seemed to be the only one to understand his faults and right his wrongs and not be an idiot. Then the kid who was abused and manipulated is killed because “reasons” or “problematic” or whatever and the offspring of Palps lives while the family that Palps manipulated is ultimately gone forever because it’s last descendant wanted to save the offspring of Palps out of the goodness of his heart. Now the offspring of Palps doesn’t even give a flipping thank you and steals their name. wHaT a SaTiSfYiNg EnDiNg!!! Someone gag me.
8. Luke’s X-Wing being raised out of the water and it’s in perfect working condition. What. The. Fuck. I don’t know if you guys realize this, but this completely undermines Luke’s arc in TLJ. That X-Wing was sunk and dead to show that he had no desire to return to the outside world. He was staying on the island. For good. And he buried that thing in water to make sure he couldn’t use it ever again, but it was still visible to him to remind him of his conviction if ever he questioned it. But no. That thing is a-okay and ready to fly. No need for parts, there’s no rust or any sea salt corrosion, ready to go skipper! This was just added for easy call-backs to ESB but boy this had absolutely 0 weight to it. I literally yawned or looked at my watch around this part thinking “oh my gosh isn’t it over yet?” Pretty much sums up my entire experience.
9. Rose got shafted to appease the fanboys. This one needs no further explanation or analysis, it just sucks and has no real reason to exist.
10. Luke was barely in it and offered not that great advice. Poor Mark. His performance really peaked with TLJ and never went back up.
11. Rey is suddenly the Avatar now? You can now talk to all previous Jedi’s who existed? What buffoonery is this? Oh, but Ben doesn’t get a single. fucking. word. from Anakin, the man he looked up to. I’m so tired right now. What’s left?
12. The message changed from “it doesn’t matter if you’re a nobody, you’re a somebody to me” to “you’re a somebody with a bad bloodline, but that doesn’t define you (except when it totally does)”. That sort of message would be fine if it had been the message since TFA, but it wasn’t. The message since TFA was “I’m a nobody, but I can become a somebody regardless of my lineage or my childhood.” Why change the message in the 11th hour? To appease fanboys. Literally anything that makes no sense in this movie can be attributed to fanboys. There’s so much contradiction and hypocrisy in this film from both the narrative and the characters that it’s insulting.
13. Hux was utterly shafted too. What a waste of a well built up and conniving little bastard who in the end gets shot for shock value and laughs. It’s like what TLJ did but way worse because he’s actually killed. Hux as the spy? Just no.
14. Jannah was kind of wasted too, not enough screen time. I get her and Finn kind of bonding over being ex-stormtroopers, but it’s not really delved into. Also the whole “nature vs. machinery” thing kinda briefly shows up at the big battle and feels unearned too, because there was nothing before in this movie or others to suggest there was a war between the two.
15. Poe is treated more as the heir to Leia than Ben is. Poe gets to fly the falcon and gets to wreck it up (dishonoring who it belonged to before), gets to be by Leia’s deathbed, etc. Not earned at all.
16. The pointlessness of random cameos or thrown in references. Not a single person in my theater noticed John Williams as the bartender, nobody pointed out or said anything about any reference from previous movies, it was silent.
17. What the hell was even the point of the whole “Dark Rey” vision? Oh, she shows her scary pointy teeth ala Bilbo style. No thank you.
18. Why the hell does it feel like these characters aren’t the characters from TFA and TLJ? They feel so different and it’s noticeable.
19. Finn is Force sensitive. Literally tacked on like nobody wouldn’t notice. We noticed JJ. We notice everything.
20. Rey and Kylo/Ben fighting for way too much of the film and their interactions. Not enough caring or understanding, not enough longing looks, it feels like their romance was almost cut from the film entirely.
21. Oh yeah, Rey floating at the beginning? Looked stupid as hell. And the “Be with me” line? I thought maybe, just maybe, she meant Ben, but no. She’s trying to reach “her past selves” like the fucking Avatar and she’s even floating rocks around like Aang did. Ugh.
22. Anything else? Oh yeah, this movie sucks completely and wholly...FOR NOT GIVING ONE FUCKING LINE OF DIALOGUE TO BEN SOLO AFTER HE HAD BEEN REDEEMED. HOW HEARTLESS CAN YOU BE THAT YOU LET HIM DIE WITHOUT SAYING ONE FINAL THING?!?! DAMN J.J. YOU’RE STUPID.
And that’s it. Kudos if you read the whole thing. I ramble a lot.

Taron Egerton - Hypothetically
Tumblr media
This is my first Taron Egerton fic, I hope you like it!! This is for the bunch of people who have been requesting me to do something about Taron. Most of them were anon and requested some alphabets. I don’t think I can do that about him, becuase that’s what I find most difficult.
Plot: you find something that you didn’t mean to in Taron’s tablet, and you wish it had been porn.
It started accidentally. You were working and needed to look something up, but your computer was maxed out running a new program, so you picked up Taron’s tablet which he had left on the table. He had never been particularly previous about keeping his stuff to himself – in fact, he had configured your fingerprints to let you in – so you helped yourself without asking and opened his browser.
A white with golden ornaments webpage greeted you. It took you a while to understand what was it about, because it was early in the morning and because you didn’t read what the website was about. Once you squinted your eyes and looked thoughtfully at the title, you almost passed out.
Taron had been reading about weddings. Specifically, top ten places to have a wedding and impress your girlfriend.
Eyes widening, you dropped the device on the table with a clatter. Hearing Taron bustling in the small kitchen of your cute vintage aparment, you shoved it back in place awkwardly, and forced your eyes back to your own flickering screen. Suddenly, friction coefficients didn’t seem so important.
“Y/N?”
You jumped out of your skin and turned to see him sticking his head around the door. The sight would have been funny if you weren’t so nervous; he was wearing a hairnet and a glittering apron. He gave you a slightly concerned frown.
“Are you… alright?”
“Yeah! Fine, thanks. Sorry, just… working” you chuckled, pressing random keys on the computer. “I was just concentrating”
“I bet it’s on something really smart” he teased, and you gave him your most real smile. “Sorry for startling you”
“No, it’s okay. Fine. I’m fine!” your voice sounded unnaturally high-pitched even for you.
Taron’s concern didn’t seem to entirely abate, extremely reasonably given your babbling, so he stepped closer and dropped a gentle hand on your shoulder. Despite everything, something about him was always so perfectly solid, comforting and safe that you found yourself breathing almost normally again.
You turned up to him and smiled; not even that forced. Taron liked to get into his characters in the most strange ways, so maybe he had just been looking it up for his new film. You repeated that to yourself at least twenty times in your head, while he massaged your shoulder in a gentle way. There was no way you had just discovered him looking up ideas for your weeding.
“I’m okay, really” you assured him. You gripped his wrist with your hand and gave him a reassuring squeeze. “Just a bit stressed over the project”
“The astrophysics one?”
You had been working on a new project for college for a few months, wanting to be as perfect as possible. It was your last work before graduating on your master, and if everything went well, you would be able to get a real job in a few weeks. Taron had been very helpful on the way, taking care of you when you forgot and being there in every moment.
Nodding, you looked back to the screen.
“It’s almost over, just a few more details”
“You’re gonna do amazing” he bent down and kissed your cheek. “And I’m gonna brag so hard about my physic girlfriend”
Girlfriend. Not wife, or at least not yet. Muttering a quick ‘love you’, Taron turned back to the kitchen; and you gave the forgotten tablet a side glance, checking that it hadn’t been all a dream.
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Okay, what is with you?” Betty, your best friend, demanded the next day. “I’ve just told you three times what happened last night with Brian, and you still have to give the talk about going back with my ex. And I don’t buy that you suddenly like him. ”
You shook your head and finally looked over your friend. She was visiting you for a few hours, and was updating you from life back at home while you two had coffee in a beautiful café you found when you arrived. Betty lived back home, working in a supermarket, while you had to travel away to be with Taron. So it was a rare occasion, to see both of you together, and you were completely wasting it because you couldn’t stop thinking about the tablet.
You sighed, and tried to remember what she was talking about as you looked down to your coffee. It had a weird shape made on the top – and it wasn’t as if you only though about it, but it looked like a ring to you.
“He’s an asshole, I don’t know why you go out with him. But I love you anyway” you repeated like a mantra. Everytime you met, Betty had gone back to his ex-boyfriend, a boy who didn’t deserve her, so you thought it wouldn’t be very hard to keep the conversation going.
It didn’t go that well.
“I’ve just told you that I’ve blocked him, so I’m gonna assume you haven’t heard an inch of what I’ve said” she rubbed a tired hand over the bridge of her nose, and finally looked at you with a raised brow. “All right, what has he done now?”
You blinked at Betty. It was disingenuous to pretend you didn’t know who ‘he’ was meant to be, but you found her easy perception disconcerting.
“Nothing!” you shook your hand, and sighed, because lying to a spy would be as useful as watering an artificial plant. “Not really – I just, borrowed his table and accidentally saw some of his browsing history.”
Betty’s eyebrows rose higher than you thought possible, and you sighed. She wasn’t the person you wanted to talk about that; actually, you didn’t want to talk about it to anyone. But you had the impression that if you didn’t you would just explode. Before you had time to explain, Betty talked.
“Looking at porn is normal in –“
“Not that!” you interrupted her. “He was reading stuff… about weddings. And I know it’s probably nothing and just some background reading for his new movie – although I thought it was about spies. But I was kinda shocked? And for some reason my brain won’t shut off and keeps thinking about it.”
Betty snorted with laughter and then just kept laughing. You grumbled and turned back to your coffee, blush on your cheeks.
“Your life is turning into the worst sort of romantic comedy” she laughed. “Come on, what did you expect? We’re talking about Taron! The boy asked you to move in the third month of your relationship! What will be the next chapter? Kids? Retirement plans? I bet he has – “
“Shut up” you mumbled.
It was true that your relationship with the actor had been… rushed. You had met him through a mutual friend, and within the first month of talking, he had already invited you on a date. He was perfect in every way you could imagine; attentive, funny, handsome, gentle and affectionate. He always put you first when it came to decisions, and you were sure he would drop everything if he asked you to do so.
Thoughts about Taron plagued your mind and you smiled sheepishly.
“Then ask him” Betty shrugged, taking a sip of her coffee. “If you’re not worried about spoiling the surprise, of course”
“But it has been merely a year!” voicing out your concerns didn’t make you feel any better.
“So? My mom proposed to my dad three months after they started dating”
“Aren’t your parents divorced?”
“And not in talking terms”
You buried your face in your arms and closed your eyes tightly. It seemed, like it wasn’t going to be an easy task. Betty’s phone rang and you didn’t have to look to know it was Brian. You didn’t bother in looking up or saying goodbye, just heard her hurried steps as she left the place to talk to him.
You had more than enough with your problems.
-
You decided to ask him that evening.
You had always prided yourself in being a practical kind of person, and not someone who made assumptions based on guesswork and lack of evidence. Also, you didn’t think you could stand a surprise proposal without fainting on the spot.
Closing the door again, you announced your arrival and received a quick greeting from Taron. Noises could be heard from the kitchen, and a peek look while you took off your jacket let you know that he was cooking. He was wearing again the awful apron, and you salivated just by the smell of the food. Taron had always loved to cook, from impressive breakfast to surprising meals; after your fair share of disappointment and food poisoning, he had become quite talented at that.
You pressed a kiss to his cheek while he moved what seemed pork in the pan, and he answered by dragging you closer and planting a full kiss on your lips while you were serving yourself some water.
You smiled tight, returned the kiss and decided that you were doing it later.
That later, actually, came when dinner was finished.
You were almost falling asleep on his lap after a delicious dinner, dozing off on the film that you were trying to see. You couldn’t focus on what it was about, but rather on how to keep your eyes open to ask him about the weeding. You were laying your head on his thighs, and he had both of hands on you. One of his hands was caressing on your hip, warm and soft against the naked skin, and the other massaging your scalp, occasionally undoing on the knots of your hair. It felt ridiculous to ruin the mood by something that stupid, but you knew he would notice something was off eventually; and he tended to panic.
“So” you started.
Taron stopped moving for a second, before going back to his business. He, unlike you, liked to watch the movies you played on weekends, and got really invested into some of them. Usually, when you interrupted it, he got all mad and playfully banned you from the couch. But he had known you wanted to talk about something all day, from how silent you had been during dinner.
“So, Y/N” he repeated, and you smacked his thigh.
“You know – I borrowed your tabled, this morning?”
He frowned and you could hear the wheels turning in his brain. Taron, as said before, was the most paranoid boy you had ever met; and not in a bad way, because he fully trusted you, but it was true that he tended to think about conclusions before getting the facts.
“Was it porn?” he asked, and you felt like screaming for the second time that day. “Because I don’t think I opened it today. But, you know – we’ve had this conversation before, it’s hard when you –“
“I’m talking about the wedding plans, Taron”
Now, he really stopped moving. You felt him going tense under you, and the only thing he managed to do was to press silent with the remote he was holding. You could probably hear a pin dropping on the street, but in that moment the only thing you heard was Taron’s breathing and your heart beating loudly.
The truth was, Taron didn’t have the heart to make any excuse. He had already thought that it was a bit rushed, because you hadn’t been dating for that long. But recently, one of his friends was getting married, and all the preparations had made him look up some details about… your possible wedding. Just imagining you in the white dress he had seen the last week or in the beach, walking towards him, gave him chills.
“Uh”
Taron tried to say anything that might had excused the tabs on his tablet, and he mentally kicked himself for it not being porn. He could deal with an argument about the inconveniences of it, but not with you saying him ‘no’ already. He hadn’t even meant to ask you yet – he was curious. You were still looking at him, so he gave you a hesitant smile.
“I just see myself with you” he blurted out, much more confident of what he felt. Once he started, he couldn’t stop. “You’re so perfect, and complement me so well. I just – lately I’m always thinking about the future, and in every possibility there is you, with me, married and maybe with some kids. I’m sorry if… I know it’s rushed, and you don’t have to say anything. I just… imagining a future with you makes me keep going. Hypothetically ”
Taron shrugged at the end, as if it hadn’t been the most beautiful thing he had ever told you. He had a tendency to do that, a lot. Even if he was talkative and open on the outside, behind closed doors Taron was a bit shy. From your side vision, someone did something stupid in the film and got murdered.
You shifted so that you were back to your original position, having laid on your back to look at him. You turned your head to the screen and Taron pressed back the volume, and you didn’t miss how he slumped down and sighed.
Truly, you didn’t know what do say. Taron had been what you had always wanted in partner, and in the short amount of time you had been with him, you hadn’t discovered a single thing that made you not like him.
His hands were resting behind you, as if he was afraid to touch you. You reached for one and made him hug your middle until you could play with his fingers on your front.
“Just so you know, hypothetically” you started, fidgeting and looking at the blonde friend who tried to run from the killer in the TV. “I would say yes”
Taron smiled so wide that he thought he could slip his head in two, and finally relaxed into the touch. His hand that wasn’t trapped by you started playing with your hair once more, and the relaxed and happy mood that you enjoyed before was back.
“Well, I love you a lot. And that’s not hypothetically”
“I love you too, moron” you smiled and closed your eyes, ready to finally drift off.

Karasuno Team x reader pt 2
Tumblr media
(I never expected so many people to like and want a part 2! It’s so long but it’s a good one!)
Part one:
Warnings: swearing??
The RV started up and began to move, you snickered as Ukai yelled at Tanaka and Hinata to sit their asses down. You sat on a small couch near a window next to kiyoko (Pfft let me get my gay ass outta here) Kiyoko, Suga and you talked about how long your family has had the beach house.  “My family used to go to this beach house every summer when I was younger. But as I got older we stopped going as a family and now it sits with no one living in it.” You explained to them.  “Though don’t worry about bugs and dust being in the house, my mom said she sent out some cleaners to make sure the house was clean and was stocked with food for us.” You told them.  “I wish we could do something for your parents, for doing all of this for us.” Suga sighed. You smiled “Oh don’t worry, I think someone actually using the beach house makes her very happy.” you reassured Suga.  “(Y/N), I heard you work at Ukai’s store.” Asahi chimed in. That caught you off guard. You knew they would find out and to be honest you were surprised they didn’t figure it out sooner. “Oh yeah! Its a lot of fun working there. And since the coach is my boss, it makes scheduling around practice and games much easier.” You stutter a bit.  “Thats so cool! Do you get free stuff?” Nighinoya asked from across the table.  “No- I wish I did. That would be so nice.” You say as you think of how awesome it would be to get free soda pop and sweets.
The rest of the ride there, wasn’t too bad. You put on a movie, which the guys voted on fucking The Spongebob movie. what. the. fuck. Not only that but they cheered and were so invested in the movie.
Crackheads. They are all crackheads.
The RV finally came to a stop, you looked out the window to see the old beach house from your childhood.
Tumblr media
They all gasped, maybe a bit dramatically. “Are you sure we are at the right place?” Daichi asked. You nodded. “This is it my friends.” you say to them as you grab your bags from under the seat. Everyone nearly jumped off the bus, you swore you watched Tanaka jump out of the window of the RV.  They all followed you to the front door.  “Wow! Is that a boat?!” Hinata asked. You nodded your head. “We can take it out sometime this week, if you want.” you offered him, he nodded happily. You pulled out the small key that had a flower key chain on it. You unlocked the door and let them inside. They all looked around in amazement. “The main room is big enough for everyone to sleep in, besides the other rooms aren’t guest rooms, the last I checked they were remodeled into a gaming room, a movie room, and a lounge/hangout area.”  “ (Y/N)!!! WHAT THE HELL.” Tanaka nearly screamed.  “WHAT?!” You yelled at him, trying your best to match his vocal range to mock him.  “THis is so CoOL!” he shouted. Ukai clapped his hands, “Set your bags down, and go get your swimsuits on.” Ukai instructed everyone. “Yes Sir!” Everyone yelled as their excitement filled the room. You went to the bathroom and changed into green plaid trunks and a yellow swim shirt. You went out to find you were one of the first people changed, which never happened. You were confused. Where was everyone else? You found them wandering the vacation house. Well you found them in pairs, first you found Hinata and Kageyama in the kitchen, then you found Tsukishima, Tadashi in the game room, Daichi, Suga and Asahi were in the lounge room, Kiyoko, Ukai an Takeda were on the back porch all sitting in on the lawn chairs put out there, Tanaka and Nishinoya were examining the boat under the deck.
Once they were all done exploring the house, everyone met up on the beach at the volleyball net.  They underestimated how hard it actually is to play volleyball in sand. They kept slipping and falling, soon they caught on that you weren’t falling??  “ (Y/N)! How do you stay on your feet?” Hinata asked you. You smirked. “You gotta kinda, dig your feet in the sand, instead of being ontop of the sand-” You dug your foot into the sand, “-You’ll be more grounded.” You showed them. They caught on, not many falling anymore, though many still fell on their asses which was super funny to you. Nishinoya being the libero, kept face planting and getting a mouth full of sand. “Man! It sucks trying to catch the ball without getting sand in my mouth!” Noya complained.  “Maybe its because you suck.” Tanaka snickered. “Shut up! You keep on not even hitting the ball!” Noya defended.  “All right lets take a break!” Ukai yelled out. “Coach, can we go swimming?!” Hinata begged with Noya and Tanaka giving Ukai puppy eyes. Ukai sighed then smiled at them.  “Yeah sure. We are here to take a break.” Ukai laughed. Hinata, Noya, Tanaka cheered as they sprinted to the shore. Asahi came up to you “Are you gonna get in the water?” He asked. You shrug “Maybe. I’m not a huge swimmer, though I love to collect sea shells.” You say to him. “That sounds fun! I’ll come with you to look for sea shells!” Suga offered “Me too.” Kiyoko chimed in. Many of the boys splashed each other and played chicken fight. You sat high above the others on Daichi’s shoulders while Hinata was sitting on Asahi’s shoulder. You held Hinata’s hands, trying to push the other off. In the end Hinata got the upper and and Y E E T E D you into the ocean.  Everyone laughed and took turns playing chicken. Hinata and Asahi were the ones champions against everyone else.

Soon the sun was setting and everyone was getting settled in for the night. The sea shells you got were set nicely on the window seal above the sink. The who team was sleeping in one big dog pile in the living room, in the kick ass fort they had built.  You went to brush your teeth when Nishinoya caught up with you in the bathroom. “When do you plan on telling the others about... Your secret?” He asked.  “I am tomorrow night when we sit around the fire for smores. I am nervous you know? Can you try to understand how I feel?” You asked him as you took his hand in yours. Noya felt his cheeks heat up from the contact of your hand in his. He nodded. “I’ll try my best (y/n)!” He smiled. You gave him a grin back as you let go of his hand and opened the door to the bathroom and locked it behind you.
Your reflection looked back at you. You took off your binder that had been on for 10+ hours. You read online that you should only have it on for 6-8 hours and you shouldn’t bind when working out... You were breaking many rules when it comes to binding but it was your only way to be on the team without anyone raising any eyebrows. You stretched your hands above your head letting your chest and ribs stretch and be free. You threw on a tank top, sweatpants and a big hoodie to hide your breast size.  After getting ready for bed you went back to the living room to find the team chatting and nearly laying on top of each other. You smirked and jumped onto the pile of boys in front of you.  “Woah! (y/n)!” Tadashi laughed.  “You guys make a good pillow.” You chuckled as you laid your head on Suga’s leg. It was uncomfortable so you leaned up and wiggled your way to a small spot between Tanaka and Hinata. They all were shoulder to shoulder.  Even though they are dorks, they are family. They make your life so much better. Were you ready to tell them about everything? Or at least your gender.  Everyone kept talking til Ukai came in the room and inhaled. “GO TO BED.” He yelled then shuffled back to the room nearby. You couldn’t help but snicker before laying your head on Tanaka’s shoulder as a pillow.  You starred at the ceiling before finally dozing off to sleep.

In the morning, you woke up 2 hours before everyone else. You wanted to make bread from scratch for them. You remembered as a child you would wake up in the morning to the smell of freshly baked bread filling the house. You wanted to do the same for the boys who took you in and made you part of their family.
Noya shook Hinata.
“Bro bro. Do you smell that?” Noya asked. It took Hinata a minute to get himself out of his sleepy state. He sniffed the air.
“It smells like a Kneaders cafe. Like on Monday when all of the bread was just barely baked.” Hinata noted. Tanaka woke up and instantly smelled baked goods. He sprung out of bed and dashed to the kitchen.
You smiled at him when he came into the room.
“Good morning Tanaka. How are you doing?” You ask him.
“Good! What is the smell??” He asked quickly. The oven went off as you grabbed the oven mitts.
“Well everyone has been working hard so I decided to bake you guys fresh bread.” You smiled lightly as blush marks spread across your cheeks.
Tanaka grinned. “That sounds awesome!”
“I’m going to go get the rest of the team up.” You say to him “I’ll come with you!” He said as he grabbed your hand. You stood there in shook from the contact of his hand in yours. The blush on your face reddened.
“That looks pretty gay” tsukishima said from behind you coming into the room. You pulled away from Tanaka.
“Your gay four eyes!” You huff at him as you walk past him. Tanaka boomed in laughter behind you. “Dumbass. Shit like that can hive me away.” You mutter to him.
“What?! Your gonna tell the team tonight anyway.” He scoffs. You dart a glare at him as you both enter the main room where everyone was. You opened the blinds, and turned on the light.
“I made a surprise for you guys. I’m gonna make breakfast.” You inform them. Asashi groaned as he sat up. He raised his hand
“I’ll help you with breakfast (y/n).” He said as he yawned. You grinned at him. “That would be great! Thank you!” You beam at him. “The rest of you better be up in 15 minutes!” You almost hell at them. But you held back from yelling at them because you choose not to be a dick.
For now.
It had been 20 minutes and Daichi, Suga and Tadashi were still not awake. You smirked at Noya. “Wanna help me get the others up?” You asked him. “Always!” He grinned. “What you plan on doing?” Ukai asked. You looked at your cup on the counter. “I have an idea.”
You, nishinoya, and Hinata all held a cup of water as you and the rest of the team walked down the hall to the main room where you guys slept. You held your cup over Daichi’s head. You looked down on him like he was your victim. Nishinoya stood over Tadashi and Hinata over Suga. You counted down in a whisper.
Splash
The 3 of them yelled out from the sudden contact of water. The rest of you were laughing so hard that tears were forming in your eyes.
“Oi! What was that for?!” Daichi yelled.
“You weren’t up for breakfast.” You say to him almost coldly.
They apologized and got up for the day. They all changed into their swim suits when you said that it was time to take the boat out.
Noya was nearly bouncing off the walls when you got the keys out for the boat. Luckily you knew how to drive the boat. Everyone piled in as you started it up making sure it had enough gas. You drove it out fairly far the turned the key to turn it off.
“Alright guys! You can jump in and swim!” You say happily. Many of them jump in when a few stayed behind because they didn’t want to swim.
“Yo! (Y/N)!! Get in here!” Tanaka yelled waving at you from the water.
“Yeah (y/n)! Join us!” Hinata begged. You shrugged and got up from the drivers seat. You ran then jumped off the side of the boat your arms lifted in the air, your legs kicking off the deck to boost you into the air. It felt like time slowed down. Like when you go to hit the ball during a game. How you always were inspired by your teammates to do your best during a game.
You came back to reality when you hit the cold but refreshing water. The guys laughed as you reached the surface of the water. These guys were your best friends. You would do anything for them. Going through so many practice days and games. You get close to them after going through so much.
Once it got later into the day you drove the boat back and parked it. Though most of the team stayed at the beach and swam.
Soon they are going to find out your secret. Your stomach turned and did flips as you thought about tonight. When you would have to tell them who you really are. You were scared. What if they don’t accept you? What if they kick you off of the team. The only reason you go to karasuno high is for volleyball. If you got kicked off you would most likely move back into your parents house. Would they feel betrayed that you cheated the system and lied to them so you could be on a team? All these questions came to your head in waves. You forgot where you were for a while until Noya swam over to you then dunked you under water.
“(Y/n)!” He whined.
“Pay attention to me” he huffed. You stared to splash the salty water at him. “Is this the attention you wanted?” You laughed as you continued to pretend water bend at him. You swam away from him to get to shore so you could think more, of course Nishinoya followed you like a lost puppy would. You eyed Tanaka then he came over.
“Come with me for a walk.” You say to them. They nodded and followed you, walking along the shore, where the water would come up and tickle your feet every so often.
“What’s wrong (y/n)?” Nishinoya asked you. Your lip trembled. You tried to find the words.
“Well, I’m scared. I get this same feeling before a game.” You confess, your hands twiddling each other. “Scared? Of what?” Tanaka asked.
“Of tonight. I’m scared I’ll get kicked off the team. Or everyone will treat me different. I’m still the same (y/n). Or I dont know if they’ll be angry with me for lying to them for so long. Maybe they won’t want to be my friend. If that happens I will have to go back to having no friends and-“ you got cut off by Nishinoya putting a hand on your shoulder. He smiled.
“It’s okay (y/n)” he said gently. Which was weird to you because he was usually so loud. Your hand touched your cheek which was wet from tears you didn’t even know you were crying. They both brought you into a small group hug. “It’s all good (y/n)!” Tanaka laughed. “We still want you on the team. And if idiots like us still want you then I’m sure the rest of the team will too!” Tanaka encouraged. You nodded, whipping your tears away. “Thanks guys. I’m not as nervous for tonight. Still nervous but not as anxious.” You laughed. They nodded in excitement. “You got this (y/n)!” Noya cheered. You smiled from their enthusiasm.
“Thank you guys. I think I’m ready.” You say to them. They walk back to the beach house and saw the other boys some how managed to start a fire in the fire pit without setting everything on fire. “There are s’more things in the house and hot dogs of you guys are hungry.” You offer to them. They nodded and yelled at the same time as they rushed inside to grab the stuff. Ukai helped you move large logs around the fire for them to sit at.
“You ready for tonight kid?” He asked you. You didnt answer right away.
“If I’m being honest, I’m nervous. Beyond nervous. I’m scared the team won’t like me anymore.” You confess to him. He walked over to you and ruffled your hair.
“Know thing these crazies, they will accept you. Your an amazing player, and a valued member of this team. For the past 7 months you have earned a special place on this team. No matter if you were a boy, girl, black white, tall, short, this team will love you for who you are.” He tapped your forehead when he said the last part. You held in tears, wanted to hug Ukai. He truely was the best coach. You nodded to him. “Thank you coach.” You say softly. The stamped of boys came back with the s’more things and hot dog stuff. You all ate food over the fire as the sun went down. Soon it was dark. Everyone was chatting then their conversations went quiet. You made eye contact with Noya and Tanaka. They nodded to you. You were ready. You stood up. “There is something I haven’t been totally honest with you guys.” You started out. “I love this team and everyone on it. But this might change how you see me and how you play volleyball with me.” They looked at you with curiosity and a bit of confusion. “I’m... I’m a girl. Biologically I was born a female.” You confessed to them. Some were confused, some were shocked, some didn’t change there expression. “I was planning on not saying anything, but two morons walked in on me changing.” You glared at Nishinoya and Tanaka. They gave you a dorky smile. You took a breath and continued.
“I’m worried that me being a female will change how you view me and how you play with me. Or treat me for that matter. I’m still the same (y/n). The same one who cried with you, played with you, won games with you. I’m sorry I never told you guys.” You said to them. You wanted to run and hide under the covers of your bed, expecting them to yell or be disappointed. But there was silence. The silence was almost as bad as yelling.
“It’s fine if your a girl (y/n). It’s not a bad thing but why didn’t you join the girls volleyball team with michimiya?” Daichi asked. You tugged at your shirt then let it go.
“That has a bit of a story behind it. Before I came to Karasuno I went to an academy for weathly kids. They had a volleyball team but all the girls on the team joined to show off the skin tight booty shorts and the small tank tops. I joined a team to play, to gain friends, to win and to learn. All I got there was girls in skimpy outfits. I could have tried the girls team here but I didn’t want to take the chance so a little arrangement with my mom, a haircut and a binder I was a different person at a new school where no one knew who I was.” You say to them. Asahi nodded. Some still looked confused.
“The only ones who knew were the coach, and until 2 weeks ago Nishinoya and Tanaka found out.” You say to them.
Tadashi raised his hand. “What’s a binder? Sorry I feel kinda dumb for asking.” He admitted. You put your hands up “it’s okay!” You say to him Tanaka jumped up.
“It’s a wrap that goes around her boobs!” He explained loudly. You karate chopped his head
“Sit down dummy.” You say almost harshly to him. “That’s the basics of it. I wrap it around my chest so then I am flatter. Then I wear a bigger jersey so then my chest doesn’t show.” You take a breath.
“I hid this because I was scared.” Tears were filling your eyes but you didn’t let them fall.
“I was scared you were going to see me different and kick me off the team.”
Don’t let the tears fall. Do not let the tears fall.
“I didn’t have many friends before coming to Karasuno. You all are my best friends. The best people I have ever met.”
Dammit. The tears streamed down your cheeks.
“Please still let me be part of the team.” You cried bending over and bowing to them. Daichi approached you. He put a hand on your shoulder and waited for you to look up at him. You looked up and met his eyes, who had tears swelling in them too.
“You will always be accepted on this team, (y/n).” He said to you pulling you into a hug. Tadashi came up and hugged the both of you. Then Tanaka and Nishinoya. Then Hinata and Kageyama. The others followed through.
“We don’t want you to leave the team (y/n)!” Hinata cried. “Yeah don’t leave us!” Kageyama snapped. “We want you to stay.” Suga softly said. They all chimed in on how they wanted you still on the team. You couldn’t hold it in anymore. You sobbed. Simple as that. All that emotion that you had been holding in? It was coming out right now. It was a good night. It ended well with your teammates accepting who you are. You were so happy.
Now the question is, who falls in love with you, or gets blushy when ever your around?
