I dunno if this really counts as desert themed, but in Mario Kart Tour Daisy has an outfit called the Thai Dress!
I am a fan of the Thai dress!
Thailand is mostly made up of forested mountains and fertile planes rather than desert, yes, but since I imagine Sarasaland as a Mario-verse reimagining of the Ottoman Empire (particularly when it was at it's height in the 16th century) there is a bit of crossover in terms of style elements, with a heavy focus on fine silks and linens decorated with large intricate patterns and shimmering metallic threads.
Left: Daisy in what I think is a chakri dress
Right: An üçetek entari, or three-skirt robe (it's 19th century rather than 16th century, but you get my drift.)
The worlds of Super Mario Land were all over place in terms of where they took inspiration from, but most modern interpretations of Sarasaland focus on desert regions like the Birabuto Kingdom (which is heavily Egyptian themed, with Egypt having been a province of the Ottoman Empire for over 200 years) and the closest thing we have to a modern visual for Sarasaland is the Daisy Circuit– an active harbor, like how the Ottoman Empire carried out most of it's trade through the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.
Uuuh... I forgot where I was gong with this.
TL;DR: Daisy's Thailand dress is probably the closest thing I'll get to seeing her in 16th Century Ottoman Empire inspired garb.

Once Upon A Studio - Mickey Mouse and Friends - HAPPY 100TH ANNIVERSARY DISNEY STUDIO!
And it all started with a mouse. Joking aside, animation started earlier, but with this mouse a great revolution was started that really changed the world and changed the everyday life of people and children. 100 years ago, Walt Eliot Disney together with his brother Roy O. Disney, on October 16, 1923, founded The Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, which later became The Walt Disney Studio, or what we know today as Disney. In the beginning, they worked with M.J. Winkler Productions and made Alice Comedies before going independent. And the first characters were actually cats, Julius the Cat and Peg-Leg Pete, and then there was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and then Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie. And then they made some of the best classic shorts and animated films of all time and influenced others.
You can hate Disney for their policies, but you can't deny they haven't done a great job. Yes, I watched Once Upon A Studio and I thought it was great and thanks to Eric Goldberg and the other animators for how they did it and for connecting the 2D and 3D animation. Thank them!
And on the occasion of this, albeit belatedly, I drew the celebration that Mickey and his friends celebrate. Yes, I found inspiration in the comic cover from the Topolino comics drawn by Davide Cesarello and Marco Coletti on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Disney Studio. And besides Mickey, there is also his girlfriend Minnie, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Ortensia the Cat, Peg-Leg Pete (an almost hundred-year-old character), Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar, Goofy Goof, Donald and Daisy Duck, Pluto the dog, Figaro the cat, Chip and Dale, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Max Goof and Scrooge McDuck. Mostly the Famous Six and secondary characters who are very important. I wanted to add a few more, but not all of them would fit in this drawing. Sorry.
I hope you like this drawing of the 100th anniversary of Disney (and almost New Years) and these characters that are there. HAPPY 100TH ANNIVERSARY DISNEY! And if you like this, feel free to like and reblog this.

How would the Ducks react to Julius The Cat? I feel like he'd be another foe for them to fight, given how sadistic he can be in MANY of the Alice Comedies shorts. Especially in Alice Gets Stung, I felt bad for the rabbit and the bear.
Hi!
To be honest, I never even thought about it until now, except for Julius the cat to be with Oswald and Mickey as a trio of brothers and the first positive Disney characters. I agree, unfortunately many call Julius the cat a rip-off of Felix the cat, since Felix came before Julius and I think he deserves to be featured more often. If Oswald can do it, why not Julius. It could especially be for Epic Mickey 3, if it could ever come to fruition. By the way, the bear is Peg-Leg Pete, who later became a cat. It's like how Betty Boop went from a dog to a real woman. Although the story is a bit complicated, that's mostly how the characters were developed.
Hm, well as for the ducks, in my opinion, Donald would probably get to know Julius first and resent it at first, because he's not really in the mood to be with Mickey's team except Oswald, at least in my opinion, but he could easily get along with him. . Daisy too. Not sure about the others. I know that for Donald's nephews (classic version) and Max Goof (Goof Troop), it was certainly easy to be with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, but the ones with Mickey and Oswald would be kind of a babysitter for them. Even though he has 420 nephews and nieces. Morty and Ferdie (Mickey's nephews) could easily hang out with Julius and have Julius be their babysitter. Oh, yes, Horace could easily do with Oswald and Julius and he will understand them best, because unfortunately Horace has been neglected a lot in recent times, if not decades.
However, this is my opinion and this is a good idea, you should make some drawings and fanfiction related to it. And thank you for your question, and if you need anything, feel free to ask me.
