6 Intros (3/6): Hollis Everdeen in The Hanging Tree ( ft. Jude Abernathy )
You’re headed for heaven, the sweet old hereafter, and I’ve got one foot in the door.
Hollis Everdeen thought that her life had ended with the 73rd Hunger Games. Her heart stopped when Prim’s name was called, and broke when Katniss volunteered to take her place. But somehow, against all odds, Katniss came home, and Hollis let herself breathe again. At least, until the next reaping, for the 74th Games. Haymitch had warned them that Snow would want to see Katniss punished for her trick with the berries, but still, Hollis had never expected to hear her own name called out.
But before I can fly up, I’ve loose ends to tie up, right here in the old therebefore.
This year my mom decorated the prettiest tree and surprised me with the greatest gifts. 🥲🫶 The Ken and Matt autograph I knew of because it was a wish but the hoodie I wanted to buy for myself after Christmas and guess what... it sold out in my size during the month... I wanted to buy it at the festival in june but they only sold shirts... so I made my peace with not getting one and then I get a surprise present and it's the hoodie in my sold out size. 🥲🥲🥲 And I don't know how but my mom somehow memorized Hirohiko Araki and that I always wanted an artbook and I lost my mind when I unpacked it.. I love my mom so so much 😭💙💙💙
A/N Sam and the wee lass is a wonderful photo shop from the amazing @artistsassanach.

Her eyes are huge as she is perched on her daddy’s shoulders. At three, she is now old enough to really start to enjoy Christmas. The tree lighting ceremony in Edinburgh is the perfect way to start the season.
“Oh!” her exclamation perfectly reflects a child’s awe, “pretty.”
Her parents know she is revering to the tree but they see more.
They see her as an infant laying under her first Christmas tree, as a toddler helping to hang ornaments, the next year knowing that the tree meant Father Christmas was on the way.
Every year, more memories.
“It is beautiful Faith.” Claire says.
“Stunning.” Jamie agrees.
He wraps his arm around his wife and they stand and gaze at the tree.
I have been getting lost in every moment of these warm yet cool day, perfect cornflower blue skies, sparkling emerald buds and the slowness of it all. I feel like I'm in transition just like the season is. Watching the clouds roll by and I'm slowly and fully taking it all in.🌤️🌳☁️
