Questions about Sherlolly

I got tagged by @mychakk, you’re right it’s quite a fun thing to do. Today it’s a mexican national holyday, and we have the day off, so I've had plenty of time to put in this, and really really enjoyed

1. Coffee shop AU: Who is the barista, and who frequents the coffee shop?

I have never read a Coffee shop au, I stared one once, but but I finde it kinda borring, and had to stop. I’m willing to give it another try, if someone want to recomend some good ones.

Now all that said, I agree with you that this would probably need come hand to hand with a Uni Au where Sherlock is the frequent and Molly the barista, that’s a no brainer. One can easily tell he comes from money, and in my very own headcanon she comes from working class family, so yah, that.. Also he probably sits on a booth with several pictures forme police repots and crime scenes and while everyone thinks he is wierd and gross she finde him fascinating, and he finds her curiosity for his work intriging and cautivaiting

2. Highschool/College AU: Who is the straight-A student, and who’s the backrow slacker?

This one could be tricky, since we know both of them as workaholics, each one in their own way, but I only see Molly achieving things by working realy hard, while Sherlock is so smart he probably went through school sleeping or high...

3. Rivals to lovers AU: Who takes their rivalry seriously, and who is half in it just to push the other’s buttons?

I tend to see Sherlock as the kind of guy who is so overconfident that he can not take seriously a rivalry unless she proves herself a threat to him and give him a good run for his money, Molly on the other hand is so friendly and gleeful that she woudn’t even realize they were competing against each other until someone mentioned... Probably Sherlock and she would think it’s sweet, then she probably tell him that they don’t need to be rivals, the both can be equally good at something (maybe chess) and as friends can be happy for the achivments of the other insted of geting all jelous and resentful

4. Enemies to lovers AU: Which one switches sides?

This just can happen in a dark Au, and dark Molly is one of my favorite kind of Molly. Well being part of Moriary network or she being the real Moriary, she would manipulate him for sex, and he would fall for it, then she would revel herself and make him feel stupid and expos... But as a good adict he would get hook on her until he can winn her to his side or have to stop her definetly

5. Soulmate AU: Who is eager to meet their soulmate? Who absolutely does not want to meet their soulmate?

Let me make a twist in here, what if they just go with the flow? nither is particulary eager, nither is particularly closed to the idea, even better what if we put all four seasons in this Soulmate Au, and they have know all along their each other soulmates, but none else know. Everything happens just like happens in the show, except the Sherrinford part, where the coffin can say Dearest Soulmate instead of I love you, and that’s how we learn they have been soulmates this whole time, and then Euros can ask Sherlock if he is going to regret never even tried to be with her.... ahhhhhh

6. Single parent AU: Which one is the single parent? (Alt. if they’re both single parents: Which one is open to starting a new relationship from the start? Which one is never planning on finding love again…Until they meet the other and are instantly smitten?)

The single parent It’s usually Molly and I think ther’s a razon for that. Sherlock having a baby with another wooman feels awkard. Sherlock raising John´s or Microft’s child implies, John or Mycrof been death, and are you ready to be the one who murders Doctor John Watson? No, I don’t thik so...

7. Doctor AU: Which one is the longsuffering doctor? Which one is the patient?

Never have I ever hear of this Au before, but then again no brainer, Molly is a doctor. Sherlock can’t exactly become her patient ‘cause you know, her paitents are dead people... But she is a doctor, and have preety much the same medical training that John, and we all need to remember that Sherlock likes his doctors clean and shaved.

8. Bodyguard AU: Who is the bodyguard? Who are they protecting? Which one is secretly pining for the other?

The obvious answer to this is Sherlock being the bodyguard, and Molly the client, but wouldn't be fun if Molly were the bodyguard? what if she is a ex MI5 o MI6 (I don’t know which one does what) and her job the whole time has been taking care of Mycroft little brother, and that’s how she is able to help him to fake his death, with no consequences...

She can also be a trained sniper, and when Sherlock discovers that, he secretly organizes a shooting tournament between Molly, Mary and John, the three of them being very close, but Mary being the winner by a short margin

9. Pirate AU: Who is the pirate? Who is the member of the royal family who did not sign up for this?

Why one of them have to be a royal? Couldn’t be both of them pirates? or maybe Sherlock is the pirate with the Letter of Marque for his brtother connections with the monarchy, while Molly is the regular kind of pirate, this one can come with his own Rivals to lovers AU...

10. Childhood best friends AU: Which one was super obviously in love with the other the whole time? Who was oblivious until they were older?

They been switching places all along, they like each other buy they’re too shy, she wants to be with him, he wants to be tough He wants to be with her she is with someone. She wants to be with him, he is struggling with drug addiction and he can't handle anything else for the moment. He is ready to give a relationship a go, she is again with someone. They are finally single at the same time and he acts like he's not interested, she meets Moriarty, and so one and so one, and you get the picture... until they’re finaly at sync...

1. What was the first fandom you got involved in? In 2007, I first go involved with the Kim Possible fandom on a forum site for the show. I was only 11 at the time lol!

16. Are their any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike? For Sherlock, I’m sure everyone knows the popular ship I dislike lol! When I was in the Once Upon a Time fandom, I couldn’t stand the CaptainSwan ship; I was a Swanfire girl all the way, and I sobbed when the creators killed off Baelfire just for fan service.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries? Summaries are THE WORST™! Titles tend to come easily to me, but if other readers are like me, it’s the summary that will initially draw someone in. It’s difficult to find that balance of teasing something really good and making sure not to spoil anything.

37. First person or third person - what do you write in and why? I write in third person most of the time, because I find it’s easier to give my readers a better idea of what all the characters are feeling or thinking. I am currently writing something in first person from Molly’s POV (yet another Post-TFP fic; I can’t resist), and I’m finding it to be quite easy to be inside her head, as I feel a strong connection with her. If I tried to write in first person for Sherlock, I’d probably struggle a bit more.

43. Is there anyone in your fandom who really inspires you? I’d have to say that @strangelock221b, @mrsfrankensteinwinchester, and @penelope1730 are my rocks. They’re always encouraging me, and are probably some of the biggest fans of my work! There is a reader in particular who also inspire me, and that is @chiefdoctor who has told me that they’ve been reading my stuff since the beginning, and that they loved seeing how much I’ve grown with my writing.

The Announcement

Hello my dear @mychakk. It’s me. Your Secret Sherlolly Santa. And this is the first one of the gifts i’ve prepared for you. I enjoyed being your Santa these last few weeks, and i enjoyed making gifts for you. I wish you again Merry Christmas and i hope you like your gifts.

Summary: Sherlock and Molly are in a very secret relationship that none of their closest friends and family knows nothing about. Or do they?

When Molly and Sherlock started their relationship, they both agreed that it would be best to keep it a secret from their friends and family for a few months, just in the case that it wouldn’t work. They didn’t want to put their closest loved ones to have to pick a side, should things end badly. Plus -if Molly wanted to be completely honest to at least herself- keeping her romantic evolvement with Sherlock a secret was kinda turning her on. And of course it was all Sherlock’s fault.

Because since their relationship started the git would made sure that his appeareances in the morgue or in the lab would drive her to distraction. Always dressed in the best suits, always with those tight shirts that she was surprised the buttons wouldn’t just fell off, always with his curls ruffled and absolutely perfect. He was very lucky that she had gotten over her first hard crush over him and that she was a proffesional, because if she wasn’t she would have jump on him multiple times, completely ignoring the fact that either Lestrade or John or both were there.

She couldn’t complain though. He always made it up to her for all the frustration he caused her after he solved his cases. When they were finally together after days or in some cases weeks of not having seen each other, they falled in each others arms and enjoyed each other’s company and body, without another care in the world except being together. They were completely carefree. So carefree that as it turned out it apparently also made them careless.

Because now there she was, in her bathroom, with a positive pregnacy test in her hands, not knowing what to do. Sherlock would arrive any minute now and she had no idea how he would feel with the news. Would he think that it was too soon? Of course he would, she certainly thought it was. That wasn’t to say that she never wanted to have any children, especially with Sherlock but they hadn’t talked about it, she had no idea if he liked kids. Of course he adored Rosie, but that didn’t mean that he wanted children of his own.

She broke out of her thoughts when she heard the door of her house open, and Sherlock’s voice calling her name. There was no reason to delay the inevitable. She informed hin that she would soon be with him and stood in front of the mirror. She washed her face when she realised that tears had found their way down her cheeks, took a deep breath and got out in her living room, the pregnacy test still in her hand.

Sherlock’s face lighted up with a beautiful smile when he saw her, but it quickly faded away when he realised that she had cried.

‘’Molly? What happened, why are you crying?’’ he asked. ‘’Is something happening with your mother, are you ill?’’

‘’No Sherlock, i’m fine. My mom is fine too, i just…’’

‘’You just what?’’ he asked again and then noticed her trying to hide her hand. ‘’What are you holding there?’’

‘’Sherlock i…’’ she hesitated for a moment and then she showed him what was in her hand. Sherlock took it and looked at it for a few seconds. When he lifted his head she saw a hesitant smile forming in his face.

‘’You’re pregnant?’’ he asked, his voice almost breaking.

‘’I’m pregnant.’’ she confirmed feeling her eyes welling up again.

‘’You’re pregnant.’’ he said again with a beaming smile.

‘’Yes i’m pregnant.’’ she laughed.

Sherlock started laughing too and took her in a warm, tight embrace.

‘’You’re pregnant.’’ he repeated once again, like he was trying to realise it. ‘’Oh my God, you’re pregnant.’’

Molly felt his tears running on her shoulder and moved away so she could look at him in the eyes again.

‘’Why are you crying now?’’ she asked.

‘’Oh these are happy tears Molly. Don’t worry.’’

‘’Yes i realise that, but i wasn’t expecting this reaction to be honest. I thought that you would panic or that you wouldn’t want the baby.’’

‘’Oh i am panicking, believe me i do. But i also do want it, have no doubt about that. What made you think that i wouldn’t?’’

‘’I just thought that you would think that it was too soon, and besides Rosie i don’t really know how you feel about kids.’’

‘’Molly… i love kids. Most of them are highly intelligent before parents and society start to try to brainwash them with fake propriety and rules and limiting their imagination. True i never expected that i would ever get to be a father, but i had decided that if that ever happened to me, i wouldn’t be that kind of parent.’’ he confenced.

‘’Oh Sherlock, that’s so sweet. I didn’t know you thought about it this way. I don’t disagree to be honest. Parents do tend to put a lot of pressure on their childrens shoulders. But anyway, since we established that you want this baby…’’ Sherlock nodded enthusiastically ‘’and i want this baby, then there is only one thing left to do.’’

‘’Marry?’’ he said with a bright smile, making Molly laugh.

‘’No silly.’’ she answered and kissed him when he pouted. ‘’We have to tell everyone about us and the baby. Because even if we’ll continue keeping it a secret for a little longer, eventually my growing belly is going to be seen and they’ll start the questions. And i for one, i’m not willing to make up some lie with an imaginary lover.’’ Sherlock huffed.

‘’Well yes i agree that we should. It was bound to happen eventually. It’s actually quite fortunate that we have that bi-weekly dinner at John and Mary’s tonight. We are gonna tell them after the dessert.’’

‘’Are you worried that John won’t let you have a dessert if we tell them before that?’’ she laughed at him.

‘’No darling. I know he won’t let me have a dessert if we tell them before. He will most likely punch me too, or try it anyway. I may as well get something out of it.’’

‘’Well i can’t disagree with that. In fact i think it’s time to start getting ready for the dinner.’’ said Molly and after a last kiss she stepped away from Sherlock’s arms and went to her bedroom.

‘’But what about our wedding?’’ she heard him say just as she was closing the door and she giggled, deciding not to take him seriously.

Two hours later they were entering the Watson’s house, all their friends already there, including Mycroft with his Andrea and his and Sherlock’s parents. After the last Christmas he had spend with his parents and the Magnusen fiasco, John was feeling obligated to include the unfortunate people that had to raise both Sherlock and Mycroft -Eurus not included- to as many family gatherings as possible since he quite liked the pair.

As always the guests were in their usual mood. Mycroft and Sherlock were pretending that they find the gathering tedious and weren’t really interested in it, Greg was attempting to flirt both Andrea and Molly earning death glares from the Holmes brothers, Violet and Siger kept talking about their neighbors and their grandchildren while looking not so subtly to their sons, Mrs. Hudson was sharing anecdotes of her life as an exotic dancer and wife of a drug lord making everyone except Sherlock and Mary uncomfortable, John was trying -unsuccesfully- to change the subject from Mrs. Hudson’s stories and Mary with Rosie were the perfect hostesses once again.

Half an hour after dinner and dessert were consumed, guests and hosts had moved to the sitting room, a glass of red wine in each their hands. Sherlock and Molly looked at each other and nodded at the same time, agreeing that it was finally the time to share the news about their relationship and baby. Sherlock turned to look at his friends and parents and cleared his throat to get their attention. They all ignored him so he tried again. Once again, not a single reaction. He could raise his voice just a little, or to start hitting his wine glass lightly with a fork or a spoon, but Sherlock being Sherlock, he decided to take much more drastic measures.

‘’MRS HUDSON!’’ he practically screamed, making everyone in the room jump and look between him and the woman in question with terror in their faces.

‘’Sherlock what the hell?’’ asked Mary.

‘’Good i have your attention. I have an announcement to make.’’ he said putting his most irritating smirk on his face.

‘’And you couldn’t just clear your throat my boy? We aren’t all as young as you are anymore.’’ complained his father.

‘’I did that but no one heard me. It’s an important announcement and i had to make you all listen somehow. But anyway… i apologise for scaring you all. But as i said i have some very important news to share.’’

‘’Fine then, tell us.’’ said Violet.

‘’Well um…’’ he started feeling nervous. ‘’for the past three months… i am involved in a romantic relationship. With… Molly.’’ he finished not quite looking anyone in the eyes, waiting for the shouting to start.

But everything was so… quiet. Sherlock raised his eyes and saw everyone -besides Molly- looking at him like he just said that they would be a lot of snow at Christmas. He frowned and looked at Molly with questions in his eyes. She seemed just as confused as he felt. He then turned his eyes to Mary where she was looking him with a seemingly blank face, but he saw her eyes glimming with amusement. Luckily she decided to take pity on him.

‘’That is brand new information.’’ she said and took a zip from her wine trying to hide her smile.

‘’Wait what?’’ asked Molly. ‘’You knew?’’

‘’I’m a trained and very intelligent ex assasin with a terrifying skill set, of course i knew. You guys couldn’t be more obvious.’’

‘’Obvious?’’ asked Sherlock feeling offended. He always took big pride in his sneakiness.

‘’Well obvious for Mary and Mycroft.’’ answered John. ‘’I found out from Mary. When she told me i laughed and said that she’s imagining things. Then Mycroft told me too. I laughed again and told him i don’t fall for those kind of jokes. The next day i came to Baker Street and heard you two having sex in the bathroom. I left as fast as i could, send a chocolate cake to Mycroft, bought flowers for my wife and promised to myself to never doubt her again.’’

‘’A wise choice my darling.’’ said Mary teasingly.

‘’Ok…’’ answered Molly still shocked. ‘’What about the rest of you?’’ she asked.

‘’John told me.’’ said Greg.

‘’I live in Baker Street.’’ chimed in Mrs. Hudson.

‘’A mother always knows.’’ offered Violet.

‘’I saw you sneaking a couple of kisses three dinners ago.’’ said Siger.

‘’I had to review security footage from an elevator on St. Bart’s with you two going at it like wild rabbits.’’ said Mycroft, shuddering at the memory.

‘’I saw the security footage first.’’ finished Andrea cheekily, wringling her eyebrows to Sherlock suggestively.

‘’Do you still have that footage?’’ asked Mary with fascination.

‘’No.’’

‘’I’ll send you a copy.’’

‘’Alright that’s enough.’’ Sherlock jumped into the conversation. ‘’So my relationship with Molly aren’t news to you, good. But we have more news to share.’’

‘’What news?’’ asked John.

‘’Molly and i… are going to be parents soon.’’

The collective gasp that was heard from everyone’s mouths was genuine and happy. One by one they all hugged the happy couple, offering congratulations and cooing already over Molly’s still flat tammy. Another round of wine was shared along with laughter and plans about the future.

A few minutes later Sherlock and Molly were standing in a corner, his right arm around her shoulders, both looking at their most favorite people when Andrea went close to them.

‘’I have to give you my congratulations again. I’m so excited for both of you. You deserve to be happy after everything you went through.’’ she said.

‘’Thank you so much Andrea.’’ said Molly and hugged her. ‘’I wish you all the best as well.’’ she finished. ‘’Please excuse me now, i have to go to the bathroom.’’ she said and walked away.

Andrea looked Sherlock with a smile that he recogniced as mischievious. He squinted his eyes at her.

‘’What?’’ he asked.

‘’I have a question to make Sherlock.’’

‘’What question?’’

‘’Do you also want me to send you that security footage?’’

Sherlock started blinking for a few seconds.

‘’Yes, please.’’

Eight months later, the Baker Street gang -as Mary had started calling the group- had gathered once again as per usual, but in a different setting this time. They had all gone to the hospital, to celebrate the arrival of a new member. They were all in the room, smiling and laughing at Sherlock and Molly’s baby boy, waiting for Sherlock to tell them his name.

‘’This is Victor Mycroft Hamish Hooper-Holmes.’’ he said, his eyes moving from his beautiful son to his brother with a smile.

If anyone besides Sherlock and Molly saw Mycroft tearing up… well, no one said anything.

Molly lifted her head, unexpectedly sneezing but was more shocked to hearfrom the direction of Sherlock the words “I love you” quietly whispered.

“I’m sorry, What?” She asked her mouth and eyes widen as she turned her head to him cautiously

“Bless you. I said…I…bless...you, “ Sherlock attempted poorly to play off what had slipped out his mouth, and he knew by Molly’s attempt to conceal a grin that he failed to cover his mistake.

Hello! I've been looking for a fic for ages. It was a victorian AU but involved a modern Molly communicating with a Victorian Sherlock. (I think it was via the margins of a book?) She knew about his brief, torrid tryst with Lady Smallwood; he told her everything, after all, and even if he hadn’t - well. He wasn’t prone to wearing Clair de Lune eau de parfum, so that would have been a dead giveaway.

It was her own fault, really; she’d never made her feelings for him clear, in the way both he and his brother seemed to need to have things emotional spelt out for them. And then she’d accepted that transfer to the New York embassy, when her own feelings started getting in the way of her work.

He’d accepted her transfer gracefully, keeping his comment to a simple, mild, “If that’s what you think best for your career, of course I’ll approve it.”

But now she was back, and Lady Smallwood had moved on to Husband No. 2, an MP with a much more public career than Mycroft Holmes would ever have - or want, for that matter - and he was back to being the Iceman.

Or so she thought, right up until the moment he took her in his arms and kissed her with a passion she’d never dreamed he would have for her.

He admitted that it was his affair with Lady Smallwood that had caused him to open his eyes to what he’d been missing, what had been right in front of him that he’d foolishly let go.

She sent a small bouquet of bellflowers and peach roses, along with a bottle of Clair de Lune - anonymously of course - to Lady Smallwood shortly after that confession.

She received in return a brief, entirely unexpected text only moments after she’d been notified that her gift had been delivered.

You’re quite welcome my dear. I hope you two will be as happy as Edward and I are.

Note

I assumed Patrick Melrose will be in top 5 if not even top 3, and I was correct, so the next two would be Sherlock and Doctor Strange, I wanted top 1 to be Sherlock but I thought with it being 10 years old already and Doctor Strange being popular atm, its going to be 2 for Sherlock and 1 for Strange and looks like I'm correct ;) anyway really really enjoyed these gifsets! A Coward’s Heart (A “forward movement (slow and steady)” Story) (COMPLETE)

So this was originally started as a gift for @sherlollysecretsanta ’s 2017 round, and then I was asked to expand it and it languished. But here it is, all finished! @mychakk I hope you enjoy the lengthened story!

A Coward’s Heart - Sherlock doesn't want to admit how he feels about Molly, not even to himself. But in order to keep her in his life and pull off a ruse, he'll have to overcome his coward's heart.

“I’m sorry. I can’t.”

Sherlock blinked as the words slipped out of Molly’s mouth. Surely this wasn’t too much to ask of her, was it? To help him perpetrate a ruse to catch a killer? All she would do was pretend to be his wife. That wasn’t so much to ask, not really.

“Why?” he asked, his brain not entirely comprehending her refusal.

She sighed and looked down at her left hand. Where her engagement ring had been if he was following her line of sight correctly. “It’s...complicated,” she said finally.

“Then please, uncomplicate it for me,” he asked.

“I won’t go through it unless it’s real,” she said. “Not again. Not...with you.” He could see her cheeks tinging red. “I need to go.”

“Molly...” he began, but she was already on her way to putting her scarf on and scurrying out the door. He watched in silent contemplation while she made her escape and then stared at the void she left in her stead. It was a simple request. Why had she refused?

Because she loves you, you dolt, he thought to himself. It would be play pretend with you. She deserves better.

But he wasn’t in the position to give better. His heart was battered and bruised and three sizes too small. Even though he cared...

He cared.

That thought stopped him cold. He cared about not hurting her. He cared about her, in ways he could barely comprehend. Not because he didn’t understand emotion, no, but because he refused to feel them if at all possible. And to give his heart, even to someone like Molly who he knew would treat it with care...it was too much.

He wasn’t ready.

But he had, in some small way, looked forward to the charade. The chance to spend time with her. Time reminiscent of the day of cases.

But that couldn’t happen because of Tom, his mind raged at him. And Tom is gone and you won’t take his place because you are a coward. The biggest coward, and the biggest fool.

He shook his head, trying to silence the thoughts. He needed to think. Quietly, if at all possible. He sat on his chair and shut his eyes, blocking out everything. He needed to sort this out, once and for all.

Before it was too late.
