Let’s talk MOTIVATION! “How do you stay motivated?” is one of the most frequently asked questions I receive. Here are my tips!. • REWARDS. You know yourself best, so think for a minute, “in WHAT way do I respond best?” Is it with rewards? Example: drool over a fabulous pair of leggings or Nike’s or a cute dress, when you’ve worked out consistently for 6 weeks straight, reward yourself. It could be an item or a trip or an activity. • REALISM. Exercising WILL ABSOLUTELY make you feel better, it’s facts, science, endorphins are released. Not feeling awesome about yourself? Remind yourself that you will get those exercise endorphins. You just have to get it done. • CHALLENGE. Are you competitive, do you love the feeling of winning?! Then use that for motivation, set up a personal challenge, “by this date I will be able to run x-amount of miles w/out stopping”. Or “by this date I want to be able to deadlift 135lbs”. • SOCIAL. Are you a social butterfly? Then join a group fitness class at your gym or a studio nearby. I teach at a local studio & so many of my chicas that come to class, come in groups, they’ve become friends, it’s part of their social fun, then they head to eat or have a drink after class together. • FAMILY. Do you have kids? Do you want to have kids? Do it for them! Your ability to get pregnant & your ability to take care of your kids will absolutely improve the healthier you are. You’ll be able to play more, lift & carry them, etc. Also, remember those little eyes are always watching, so BE the example that they need & deserve. . Personally I believe that once you start you won’t be able to stop because you will FEEL great!!! That feeling becomes addictive & improves your quality of life for the better. So throw on your fav song, get pumped up, & just do it. Even if it’s only 15-30min 3-4 times a week, YOU CAN DO IT! 😁❤️✊🏽💪🏽 . https://ift.tt/2KvWJYw . My actual measurements are 27.5 waist & 40 hips, size 25 was recommended, their size chart explains really well.👍🏽 When they arrived I had a good giggle😂b/c they looked so small, like for a child, my hubby had a good laugh too. BUT lo & behold the stretch is too legit✊🏽Fits, & “fits snug” which is what their site recommends as they will of course slightly loosen up w/ wear, like all jeans. Stationary Lunge: Body Weight (push thru front heel & squeeze both cheeks at top, hold wall, this should be good even for newbies, if you notice the straight up & down alignment, should not have any knee pain) - - 2. With a Kettlebell (I hold it outside the working leg, same tips as above) - 3. With a Weighted Bar (balance comes into this a bit, since you can no longer hold the wall) - - 4. With Dumbbells (start lighter & work your way up, remember curl back those toes on the front foot to cue yourself to push thru that heel) - - 5. With Dumbbells & an Ankle Weight placed under front toes. (I'm using 35lb dbs here, I like to place the ankle weight under my front toes to really ensure that I'm pushing thru that heel & using glutes) - - Add these in, your booty will thank you! You must start with foundational kettlebell knowledge and movements before advancing. This program is for beginners who need a solid foundation in fundamentals of kettlebell before moving on to advanced rotational, fluid movement as well as experienced lifters who want to learn to teach kettlebell flow or move in new planes of motion in order to build new kettlebell strength. What is flow? A flow is an exploratory way of moving through as many different, planes, patterns and combinations as your abilities (knowledge of movement and physical) will allow. It is perfect for building athleticism, awareness and conditioning and act as a great supplement to strength work.
