Help I CANNOT stop thinking about Natsumi as Izuru in the thh remnant au. Fuyuhiko has to deal with his little sister going missing and eventually the fact that his parents not only knew where she was the whole time but WILLINGLY signed her up for horrific experimentation. And then eventually she comes back and he sees his little sister again and she’s like who are you and feels absolutely nothing for him. I would have a nervous breakdown I think
Oh big time yeah, in fact Circus and I agreed Fuyuhiko has to be one of the killing game survivors specifically so that can happen lol. Like he’d lose it if she didn’t even acknowledge him. He’d probably be championing the neo world program in this au if it means getting the real Natsumi back.

Danganronpa 3: Despair episode 3
Thonks.
It hurts seeing Hajime so low.
You get so used to Hajime in the game who was definitely more upbeat.
Seeing him look down on himself is hard to watch.
Especially because we know where it goes.
Makes you wonder how many people with his mindset exist.
We saw a bit of that from Makoto but he always puts a positive spin on it.
Like my optimism is only thing I'm good at.
But Hajime was full of despair long before Hope's Peak found him.
And they zoomed to him like he were blood in the water.
God and the shot of him walking part the 77th class, the elites themselves as a nobody.
It's good, it hurts.
Well this girls blunt and rude.
Natsumi Kuzuryu.
Wait.
Waaait.
That's Fuyuhiko's little sister?!
... Oh no...
Well she definitely has his personality.
Maybe it's a family thing?
So she has the whole thing of because my family, namely Fuyuhiko is talented she must be by association.
Gonna get a rude awakening.
Wonder who freckle faced bitch is?
And now this girl, Sato has beef with Natsumi. I feel so bad for Hajime he's just sitting there while they insult each other.
Hurt her?
Ohhh Mahiru.
No yeah Chisa did say she had a friend in the Reserve Course that she went to middle school with.
That must be Sato.
And Sato was in the photography club in her last school, which is Mahiru's talent.
Makes sense.
Man Natsumi is bad, but man she's good at causing chaos.
Junko should've recruited her, but given her arcade game... Guessing something happened.
I'm suprised Mahiru is scared of Natsumi, they must have had quite the history.
Again, poor Hajime just sat here as they argue at his desk.
Definitely been in that situation.
"My sisters been crazy since the day they bought her home."
Damn Fuyuhiko.
I mean, he's not wrong. She makes old Fuyuhiko look calm and civilised.
Annd Peko and Fuyuhiko are doing the pretend they don't know each other thing.
And him warning her not to do anything.
.... That warning unfortunately didn't translate into the game.
Gotta wonder how much was based on reality.
Annnd ibuki found them.
Hajime and Chiaki gaming together. I like their friendship, Hajime desperately needs a friend.
Him asking if she'd still like games if she sucked at them.
Her saying yes because she truly loves the games she plays.
Man... Talent really us everything to those that don't have it.
And it makes sense why, especially being cut off from the main school.
Her using Chisa's words, she really is the best teacher. And for a while that gets through to Hajime.
It won't last.
But it's nice to see him smile and game without a care in the world.
And than stopping Sato from slapping Natsumi.
Unfortunately as nice of a sentiment as the people you know doesn't make you special.
It might not make you talented, but it sure can open doors.
Especially if your the daughter of the head of the Yakuza.
Also... Sato you erm... Need to chill a little.
A lot.
You need to chill a lot.
The thing is, Hajime and Natsumi are the same.
They're both stuck in the Reserve Course and want nothing more that to join the main school.
They want a talent so bad they would do anything for it.
Natsumi tries to use the rays of her brothers talent to make herself shine.
Hajime agrees to something that will ultimately destroy him, just for a talent.
If anyone knows how Natsumi feels is Hajime.
And even than he's trying to use what Chiaki told him.
It's so sad how much not having a talent grips people, tears them apart.
Because she doesn't have one, she's afraid Fuyuhiko will leave in her the dust.
I doubt he would.
But if you're not useful, if you're not the best than do you even deserve to be in his life?
It's cut throat, it hurts.
And feeds into why someone would agree to participate in the Kamakura project at all.
Police?
And there's tape corning off the entrance.
"Some kid got murdered I think."
"Yeah a straight up homicide."
Thank you NPC's.
... And that's how Natsumi dies.
Fuyuhiko having to identify his sisters body... Peko being pissed feeling like she failed.
Sato... If it was truly you, you're fucked man.
And Hajime loses someone he was just starting to get to know.
... Okay Natsumi wasn't the nicest person but fucking hell she just died... Don't say that shit.
... Sato.. Has issues.
Idk if it was Sato because I can't see her lying to Mahiru but she's still sus.
But it if it wasn't Sato, who was it?
And Sato just vanished and was found dead.
... Fuck...
WHO LET JUZO BE SCHOOL SECURITY?!
That man should not be anywhere near kids. And in a position of authority?
Fuck that.
Fucker, who just throws a kid on the ground.
Also I don't believe the story he's giving. I doubt he's telling the truth at all.
Also Hajime I get wanting to punch the shit out of Juzo.
But not the best idea to try to hit a staff member.
No matter how scummy they are.
Annnd especially when that guy is the ultimate boxer.
Man that's 2 protags this man has hit to the ground.
Someone hide the others.
...and he fucking spat on him?!
... Nevermind hit him again... With a truck.
I'm suprised Izuru allowed this guy to see daylight.
Juzo, you're nothing, so I dunno why you're on such a high horse.
You are a pathetic little bully and when you die I'm going to laugh.
Hell I'll cheer.
I don't think I've ever hated a character more than Juzo Sakakura.
Like Munakata I can get.
I can understand where he's coming from and why he has this mindset.
Granted I might have to get hit in the head first.
Several times.
But Juzo is literally just a bully, he's been a bully since day one. He's prejudiced, he thinks he's God's gift to the earth.
He abuses his position to beat a high schooler, fucking spat on him because he's not "an elite."
I have no idea how someone like Chisa befriended him.
And just, ugh. Fuck this guy.
The worst thing is, Hajime could've moved on. He could've accepted Chiaki's words.
Could have truly believed he didn't need a talent to mean something.
But it's asshole's like Juzo who literally beat it out of him.
That make him think he's nothing.
Hajime being picked wasn't an accident.
It was strategic.
Congratulations Juzo Sakakura you contributed to the creation of the man who's going to destroy us all.
Thank god Chisa stepped in.
Don't blame Hajime pushing away from her though, of course he can't trust them.
Her friend just beat him up.
Also "Dark side of Hope's Peak." Is people like you, you're literally contributing.
The project your investigating, you just gave them their test subject.
And he might not have even gone for it if it wasn't for asshole's like you.
You literally had to just not beat and berate a student, but that's to fucking hard for you.
Don't get me wrong I appreciate having a character like Juzo, I just hate him.
... No no you can argue with that logic.
I know it's dangerous for Hajime go be snooping about but that doesn't justify Juzo's actions at all.
You don't beat up students.
Asshole you don't know to be nice.
And the funny thing is by doing that you've just given him more reasons to go for the project.
And look how safe that was.
Wait are they arguing over Munakata?
... Really?...
Guys, raise your standards he looks like a wet mop.
Hajime saying he has somewhere to go and talking like Chiaki's never gonna see him again.
God... My heart hurts.
"I'm empty. But you can take something empty and fill it."
Parallel to Makoto saying that words can be hollow but you can fill them.
... Oh Hajime... You are worth so much and I'm sorry the world won't let you believe it.

Random Fanfic Idea 4
SPOILERS FOR HELL GIRL AND DANGANRONPA
Hell Girl is my favorite anime, and I really wish it would get more attention. But given how one the first season was ever dubbed, and it is seen as going downhill in quality by some who have seen it. This seems sadly unlikely, but that doesn’t mean I can’t spread the love.
One thing about Hell Girl, is that adding the Hell Link site to any given world is fairly simple. And a world like that in Danganronpa is extremely easy for this one, and also the ideas that are possible with this combination just is enjoyable to me. I mean, I had tried to begin a crossover fanfic with these two myself, but I suck at writing as well as staying committed.
Tumblr media
But just going off of the baseline that I came up with, following Sato using the site on Natsumi only to receive revenge against her in return, just leads into a really interesting story line. Imagine Hajime(DR Hajime, not HG Hajime) looking into Natsumi’s disappearance and Sato’s subsequent death only to learn of Mahiru doing the same and for them to team up, only for more disappearances to begin to plague the campus.
Also imagine Hajime ultimately still going through with the Kamakura Project like in canon (though I like to imagine unwillingly), only to end up with a pissed off human experiment who decides to burn Hope’s Peak to the ground. I find the whole idea rather fun, also it is an excuse to possibly do something fun with the Class 76 trio as well. So why not.

Is it okay to make suggestion about Natsumi, Fuyuhiko sister. Like a, Natsumi is the one who become Izuru Kamakura or Natsumi is the one who was in Jabberwork Killing Game, insted Hajime? If it's okay, if is not that fine. Thanks for anwsering.
I've done her has Izuru before so I'll do the second one!
Being in a class with her brother was a dream come true, but Natsumi still felt a bit out of place will all of his classmates. Still, she figured she could put some of her skills to good use in keeping everyone in line.
Sure, a lot of her now-classmates got on her nerves, but she could shut them up pretty easily. And she had a good enough eye for detail and violence that if a murder did happen, she would help.
Of course, her temper put her on the list of suspicion every time something did happen, but she was always able to prove on her own that she didn’t do anything to anyone.
Arguing with everyone most of the time was one of her “charms” though there were a few classmates she was closer to that got to see her without that constant anger.
Mostly she just wanted to get herself, her brother and Peko out of there alive and well, but if everyone else was fine too then that was just a bonus. Either way, she’d do her best.

Who’s the bigger girlboss: Junko, Natsumi-as-Izuru, or Remnant Kirumi? 🤔
Honestly Junko goes without saying lol, but between the other two I’d give it to remnant Kirumi. Even though Natsumi could out girl boss her if she put her mind to it, the Izuru-ness means she wouldn’t bother

Goodbye Despair, Chapter 0: On the way to the School Trip (Part 2)
A deathly pale girl stood atop a fractured building as she looked out at the widespread, horrific destruction of Towa City. Her elegant black dress fluttered in the breeze. The red sky was now gone, and the gray sky of dawn was blossoming over the city, the sun brilliantly shining its golden rays.
“It truly is such a shame that it had to come to this… A full-out war between Towa City and the Future Foundation would have been much more dramatic…” The black-haired girl mused as she sipped from a teacup. Near her, a very portly teen stood tall and with his hands on his hips in slight exasperation.
“Yeah, well… Blame it on the kids for not being more careful! Even if it was just a few lapdogs from Future Foundation, they were still Ultimates!” The boy puffed out in annoyance.
The girl cradled her teacup on a plate. Her face was melancholic.
“… I blame your influence.” The girl quipped, resulting in the boy reeling back in shock.
            “M-M-Meee?!”
“If you had not been so mischievous in making that ‘Successor’ remark, Towa would not have toyed around with that girl. Instead, she made a big theatrical failure of a game, and now Future Foundation has infested this place like rodents.” The goth smiled with false cheer.
“I don’t recall you objecting to it, Miss Ludenberg!” The boy huffed again. He clenched his fist in aggravation. “At any point, you could have made Miss Towa stop!”
Celestia Ludenberg rolled her eyes dully.
“It was an amusing distraction for a while, but then it got boring the more she tempted fate. Monaca was truly an annoying pest.” The goth then gave a little curtsy. “Besides which, you were in charge of the children, not I. I had the adults wrapped around my finger, and nudged them in the proper direction. The fault for this travesty lies at your feet, Yamada. You needed to be the adult, if we were to maintain our hold here. Now Kirigiri-san will be most displeased that we have lost another stronghold…”
The otaku made several angry grunting noises as he tried to think hard about a good comeback. The war between adults and kids had been going rather smoothly, while he and Ludenberg pulled the strings behind the scenes. But still, did she have to take such a chiding tone with him?! Enoshima had entrusted the Warriors of Hope into both their care!
“Attempting to fill Nanami with despair was bound to end in failure… You both should have seen that coming.” A voice droned behind them, causing Yamada to whirl around and Celes to slightly crane her head to look back at the lanky, long-haired figure.
“My, my, look who’s arrived fashionably late.” Celes drawled dryly. “The Monokuma children detected your entry into the city. What were you so busy doing?”
“We could have used your help in expelling the Foundation, Mister Kamakura…!” Yamada growled as he pointed accusingly at the pale, slightly older boy.
Kamakura regarded the otaku like he would an ant.
“You know my policy. This world is boring… But witnessing the conflict between hope and despair, that is truly a fascinating match to behold. A myriad of comical faux pas were made on both sides… But it appears the victor was decided for this round.”
The Ultimate Gambler tsk’ed and looked away. Yamada was still seething in rage.
“I will… never understand why Mister Togami and Miss Kirigiri put up with you…!”
            Kamakura arched an eyebrow curiously.
“Oh…? You haven’t heard? The Foundation captured Kirigiri and Fujisaki a week ago. Togami is fortifying his castle for the inevitable final conflict to come.”
Yamada released a surprised gasp of shock while even Ludenberg’s eyes widened marginally. Togami didn’t actually have a castle, of course – Celes never would have allowed it. But to hear two more of their peers had been taken down… And two key players at that. It was devastating news indeed. Togami could boss them around all he liked, but he lacked the precision and coordination that Kirigiri possessed as a strategist. Without her, the others were going to get sloppy… just like what happened here in Towa City.
It was… getting to be the end of an era.
“Nnrgh… But that leaves… only a handful of us left!” Yamada grumbled in frustration. “Mister Oowada is holding out… as is Miss Oogami and Miss Asahina…! But if this keeps up, Ultimate Despair will face annihilation!”
Celes rolled her eyes in annoyance. They weren’t the only ones left, of course. But Genocider was a loose cannon, and it was only a matter of time before Ishimaru was captured. But the otaku had a point. They were experiencing too many losses. It was as if Enoshima’s death had actually marked a turning point in the war…
… And Celes was still very pissed she hadn’t gotten to kill Enoshima herself.
“… Wait just a second.” A thought occurred to Celes. And it wasn’t a pleasant one as she craned her neck to face Kamukura once more. “If you’re still here… That can only mean…”
Kamukura observed the back of his right hand dully.
“You are correct. It is that time.” The boy spoke with finality.
Celes cursed under her breath as she went for the blade hidden in her dress.
“I should have realized when you brought up Kirigiri…!” She hissed as she whirled her body around to face her attacker, knife drawn to defend herself. But it was much too late.
“Yes, you should have.” Kamukura said without missing a beat. He caught her swinging arm, spun around until he was behind her, and casually disarmed her while still holding onto her arm. In the next moment, he injected some needle into her neck, and she went out like a light. Kamakura allowed her to drop to the floor, and didn’t face to turn Yamada, who had brought out his own weapon, but was caught up in what happened to Celes.
“Miss Ludenberg…!” The otaku howled. He tried to get a shot off on Kamakura, but the boy disarmed him in a similar fashion, and the otaku collapsed as well once his own neck was injected with some kind of drug.
The ‘Ultimate Hope’ stood over the two Despairs nonchalantly as he looked out at the ruined Towa City and the wide open sea beyond it.
“It’s nearly time… a final battle between Hope and Despair that shall surpass all others.” The white-haired boy murmured softly.
Normally, he would have allowed Future Foundation to capture these two on their own… But at this point, after such a resounding victory, it would have made little sense to allow these two to escape. A blade breaks more easily once it has been shattered already, and the same applies to the gambler and otaku here. They wouldn’t be able to make a comeback worthy of a rematch against the Future Foundation. Ultimate Despair was crumbling, and it was soon going to be time for their ace-in-the-hole to be played. A card that could only be played when they’re on the verge of losing…
Kamakura fingered a photograph in his pocket without pulling it out to look at. It was a plan born from desperation, but it was not a flawless plan. Slim as it was, Hope could win against the stacked odds. Enoshima had demonstrated that all too well.
It was still possible… for Class 78 to retrieve their lost selves.
It was even possible… for Nagito Komaeda to return.
Wouldn’t that that just be the Devil’s Luck?
            ~*~
“Jeez… I forgot how annoying it was gonna be, staying on a boat with these guys.” Fuyuhiko huffed as he crossed his arms and leaned on a wall in aggravation.
Across from him, sitting in a chair at a meeting table was his little sister, her hands gripping her skirt in her lap and her eyes glaring acidly at the tabletop.
“I don’t get what the big deal is. Using that Hagakure bastard as an anchor was an amazing idea. We don’t need his punk ass waste of space clogging up the holding cells…” The young woman bitterly griped.
The Ultimate Yakuza barked out a laugh.
“Yeeeah… Too bad you forgot about the security cameras. Now Yukizome’s gonna be watching you like a hawk.”
“You could always throw him overboard for me! Or your hitman!” Natsumi pointed out.
“Except Yukizome said the three of us specifically aren’t allowed in that cellblock anymore. Otherwise I’d totally be onboard with that plan!” Fuyuhiko rolled his eyes. “But hey, maybe if we get enough people in on it, Yukizome will ban everyone, and the fucker will starve!”
“… I knew you were my favorite brother for a reason.”
            “I’m you only brother.”
            “Exactly!”
Hajime sweatdropped from his seat at a different end of the meeting table. He looked up at Peko quizzically.
“They’re not serious, right?” Hajime hoped he didn’t sound too pleading.
Peko merely closed her eyes and released a sigh before smiling in slight amusement.
“Hagakure tried to extort the Kuzuryu Clan in the past. It’s not a surprise they want to hang him dry.”
“Peko, you were supposed to say ‘no!’” Hajime whined, which earned a soft chuckle from the swordswoman as the siblings continued to bicker.
Souda was off in his own corner of the room, pulling his hat down his face and ignoring all them. Between Fujisaki really picking on him about his ‘shoddy’ work with programming the cameras, cells, and other machines on the ship, as well as being in the same cellblock when Oogami woke up and started trying to bust out, Souda was a nervous wreck with very low self-esteem at the moment. Hajime and Munakata assured the mechanic his work was top-notch as always, but it still really hurt his pride to be insulted by someone in a similar field, even if they were in Despair and probably didn’t mean every critique they said… probably…
Nothing could be done about the scare with Oogami, though. The Ultimate Fighter really was an Ogre.
When the door to the room opened, all eyes but Souda’s curiously turned to see who the next ones in would be. It was Mikan, accompanied by… Byakuya Togami. Or, well, someone dressed like him, even with his fat figure. The nurse was sobbing, sadly as usual…
“I-I-I’m sorry… She wasn’t eating her meals, and we already have Asahina-san and Yamada-kun on IV drips in the infirmary!” The purple-headed woman clutched the top of her head in a panic.
“I told you, it’s fine,” the man disguised as Togami insisted, ushering the nurse to a chair near Hajime. “Munakata had taken Togami for an interrogation anyway, so it was easy enough to order Fukawa to eat. We knew this would happen based off the information we had on her, so I came prepared. It wasn’t a big deal, really.”
The Imposter was having little success in stifling the nurse’s wails, but everyone had a better idea of what set her off this time. Episodes like these were certainly bound to happen, since specific members of Ultimate Despair had vowed to starve themselves for the Despair that would bring. Even if Fukawa wasn’t quite like the rest of her classmates – possessing the same glowing red eyes and obsession with Despair – she still listened to whatever Togami ordered her to do. And because she trailed after him like a mutt, Togami had cruelly taken advantage of her lapdog nature. Her other personality, Genocider, was a full-fledged Remnant of Despair like the rest of her class, but she only became a problem when Fukawa… sneezed, triggering the change in personality. Reasoning with Genocider was impossible, so they were thankful for an easy way to deal with her, even if it was weird as hell.
Not that the other Remnants were any easier to convince to let go of their debilitating habits.
“It’ll be fine, Mikan!” Hajime promised as he laid a hand on her shoulder consolingly. “We only have to put up with this for a little longer. Once we reach Jabberwock, we just have to put them in the Neo World Program. Hopefully then, they’ll revert to their former selves, and we’ll be able to help them after that.”
It was a bit like chanting a prayer at this point, but everyone in the room was used to saying or hearing that by now. They simply needed that constant reminder to make the journey at sea bearable.
“I’m not so sure about that…” Everyone turned to the door once again as Kyosuke Munakata strode in with a grim expression. “Gekkogahara reported in just a few minutes ago, and said they might not have the program ready by the time we reach our destination. They’re doing everything in their power, but it’s just not looking realistic at this point that they’ll be able to make it run smoothly in time.”
“S-So what are you saying?” Souda stuttered out nervously. He seemed to have an idea of the situation, but he didn’t want to acknowledge it.
“He’s saying we may need to look after the Remnants for a little longer…” The Imposter muttered quietly, but factually. “Or, worst case scenario, we’ll have to rehabilitate them without the program.”
“Are you kidding meee?!” Kazuichi howled, making a frightened expression. Fuyuhiko gritted his teeth and stared down at the floor.
            “Tch. I wish he was…”
            Munakata closed his eyes solemnly.
“I called Tengan, and he’ll be sending reinforcements in a few days. This will include Nidai and Owari, as well as Koizumi and Mioda.” They would need their exceptional eyes and ears in the event an incident broke out on the island. Thankfully, security cameras and lodgings were in place, but it wasn’t going to be easy to keep an eye on the Remnants in such an unsecure place. Anything could go wrong, especially with exceptionally talented prisoners as the Remnants of Despair. Why, Aoi Asahina on her own was going to need to be isolated from the ocean as much as possible.
Especially around the boats… She had been an absolute menace at sea, sinking vessels indiscriminately.
“So what’s the deal with Togami?” Natsumi brought up all of a sudden, causing everyone to tune in again. “You’ve been giving him the third degree a lot.”
“I am hoping to secure a tentative truce with him.” Munakata uneasily replied. “I do not trust him, but if we can get even one of their leaders to keep the rest in line, our stay on Jabberwock will hopefully be less of a burden.”
The answer they received resulted in many widening their eyes in shock, and a few skeptical cries from the Kuzuryu siblings.
“What exactly are you negotiating?!” Fuyuhiko exclaimed after a few minutes of people talking in a panic.
“Nothing outrageous.” Munakata replied with a stony face, looking Kuzuryu in the eye and reminding the yakuza that he was in charge. “We already planned to let the Remnants stay in the lodgings for however long it takes to get the program up and running, but Togami has… demanded that they be allowed access to certain possessions and things. They will not be allowed weapons, but to a degree it will be as if they are ‘guests’ while staying with us on the island.”
            Natsumi scoffed loudly.
“So, we’re gonna let ‘em live comfy while we bust our asses to get them rehabilitated?” The young girl accused.
“It’s better than restricting them completely,” Munakata countered. “If we allow them no comforts, they will eventually try to stage a mutiny, as Oogami has demonstrated by trying to break out of her cell. But if they feel less like prisoners, then they will feel less inclined to escape the island, no matter how slightly. Again, they will not be given materials that they can harm us, themselves, or the outside world – Fujisaki will not be given a laptop that has Wi-Fi capabilities, nor will Oowada be given a motorcycle. We will listen to what they want, within reason, and be generous hosts. In return, Togami will assert his authority and keep everyone relatively in line.”
Silence permeated the room after that. Some of them didn’t like this turn of events, but it was sounding like this was their only safe option. The alternative would be to run themselves ragged in restricting everything the Remnants did, and all the Remnants would have to do is wait them out, bide their time. They couldn’t afford to do that; the world would be in danger yet again if this turned into a battle of attrition.
“Why approach Togami?” Hajime said after a while, earning a look from Munakata. “Kirigiri seems like she’d be more reasonable to negotiate with… Heck, Kamakura could physically overpower any of them – even Oogami.”
Fuyuhiko hissed as he raked a hand through his short hair.
“Kirigiri might be more ‘reasonable,’ but she’s helluva lot harder to read.” The yakuza groused. “Any ‘harmless’ thing she asks for could be deadly, or it could be a red herring to throw us off. I trust her way less than Togami.”
            For more reasons than one.
“And as for Kamakura, we don’t know his objectives.” Munakata explained with a thoughtful frown. “He is the only Remnant to have turned himself in, but this could all be a ploy to release everyone and deal a crippling blow to the Foundation. It is much harder to put faith in a man who has the power to do anything, but did nothing to stem the war and bloodshed.”
Hajime was forced to admit, they had more than a few good points. Togami was narcissistic, arrogant, and greedy, but at least they could read him, somewhat.
“What do we do now?” The Imposter asked the question that was on all their minds as he crossed his arms. Munakata mirrored him.
“Teruteru, Tanaka, and Yukizome are feeding the last of the Remnants, so lunch is about over. We’re two days out from the island, so not much longer to go. Just keep monitoring them, and report anything suspicious. I will go over the procedures to disembark, once we reach Jabberwock. Just stay vigilant – we will make it through this.”
With all of that explained, Munakata strode out of the room, leaving the contemplative members of Class 77 to their thoughts.

AU where fuyuhiko and hajime know each other because of natsumi, and when hajime disappears because kamakura project, both fuyuhiko and chiaki go on a blood rampage to find him. this AU is not thought out at all but my god imagine fuyuhiko finding him and basically outing hope's peak as a bullshit institution?? and taking care of hajime in his fancy yakuza house with the best doctors the mafia can buy?? and listen i can't stop thinking about this it hurts me emotionally but i love it
ooh yes I love this!! (I figure you probably meant to type natsumi again rather than chiaki there? idk? either way it’s good stuff)
I like the ‘hajime disappears somehow and then fuyuhiko stops at nothing to find him’ theme we have going on on this blog now haha
ok ok but for serious I love the idea of like, fuyuhiko finding izuru and after a moment of staring it clicks in his head that he’s hajime... but like what happened to him? and fuyuhiko’s realising this person who is clearly hajime- but isn’t acting like him at all and doesn’t have that same warm presence that he loves- doesn’t even recognise him at all. somehow he brings izuru back to his place and before long he’s gathered a large team of doctors and other experts, but it’s not so quick and simple to get hajime back to how he was and fuyuhiko finds himself more and more stressed and overwhelmed and heartbroken every day. but then little things slowly start to change; one day izuru is furrowing his eyebrows and staring at fuyuhiko intensely, slowly starting to grasp at something, and fuyuhiko takes his face in his hands and looks into his unfamiliar deep red eyes, and izuru slowly raises a hand to gently trace the scar on fuyuhiko’s face in return, a little unsure of why he feels the urge to do so. there are times fuyuhiko reluctantly leaves izuru’s side to give him some space, and maybe izuru reaches out to stop him from going or he goes to say something to him. these little moments become more and more common as time goes by and fuyuhiko’s starting to feel more hopeful, but it’s still so tough.
idk I just love the idea of like... things slowly starting to come back to izuru even if he doesn’t really understand what everything means, he’s still making sense of things, then slowly but surely fuyuhiko’s patience and care pays off and izuru is seeming less like izuru and more like hajime. imagine hajime starting to really come back, he wakes up one day after a long sleep with a much clearer head than before, and he remembers fuyuhiko, really remembers him, and he gets up out of bed and heads straight to fuyuhiko to tell him that he’s okay and that he loves him, and fuyuhiko just breaks down and sobs as he holds him and hajime holds him back.
...y’know I wasn’t gonna do a long answer for this one but I got carried away
(also uh I kinda just focussed on like one element of this but I do enjoy the whole concept!! this is just what I felt like focussing on)

Hope - Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu x Reader
Summary: You try to recover the Ultimate Yakuza from despair, but things don’t go as planned when you begin to develop feelings for each other.
It had been a while since Makoto Naegi had recruited you. You had become close friends after surviving the Killing Game of Hope’s Peak Academy together, along with Aoi Asahina, Kyoko Kirigiri, Toko Fukawa, and Byakuya Togami. Makoto had a plan to save the Remnants of Despair using the Neo-World Program, and he needed your help to develop the technology. You worked alongside him and Alter Ego in order to create the program, and during the development, Makoto asked you to have sessions with the Remnants in order to learn more about the psychological trauma that Junko Enoshima and Mukoro Ikasaba had inflicted upon them. So, against Future Foundation orders, you had been secretly meeting with the Remnants in an undisclosed location unknown to your boss, Chairman Tengan.
Your primary subject was none other than Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu.
Initially, you seemed to make no progress with him. He would open up a little, only to go right back into despair. During your first session, he merely grinned while you asked him about Junko and the despair he helped her spread.
“Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu… the Ultimate Yakuza, and former student of Hope’s Peak Academy,” you stated, reading his file. You sat across from him, a table between the two of you. He was handcuffed to his chair, as a precautionary measure.
“Damn right,” he replied, despair swirling in his one eye, the other being covered up by his eyepatch.
“You, along with the other despairs, have killed so many… do you feel regret?” You asked, carefully. You leaned forward in your chair, eager to hear his response.
“Regret?” He asked back, before laughing. “Hahahaha, why would I regret killing any of those bastards?  Death is natural for the weak, it’s survival of the fucking fittest!”
“Was Natsumi weak?” You asked, with a cold tone. Suddenly, you watched a thousand emotions flash through his eye. Shock came first; his eye widened at the mention of his beloved sister.
“Natsumi…” he muttered quietly, as though it was the first time in a long time that he’d thought of her. A sadness took over his expression, and for a moment you thought there might be tears welling up in his eye, but just as quickly as it had come, the sadness dissipated and was quickly replaced by despair.
“My sister….my little sister…. Natsumi…” he continued muttering, “her death…. brought me so much despair! So much glorious despair! Hahaha!”
He was gone again, his mind consumed by despair once more. It didn’t matter, you had seen it. For even just a moment, you had seen genuine emotion in him, and you knew then that there was hope for not only him, but for all the Remnants. You wondered if you could get him to show emotion again…
“Despair?” You asked. “Is that why you killed Sato? Because you wanted to feel despair? Or, maybe you wanted to make Mahiru feel despair?”
At the mention of Sato’s name, you watched as pure rage flashed across his face.
“That fucking bitch...Sato!” he exclaimed. “Despair had nothin’ to fuckin’ do with it...I had to kill her, for Natsumi…”
You watched his rage bleed into sadness as he continued. “Natsumi… she came to Hope’s Peak for me… she wanted to be the Ultimate Little Sister… she should have been the Ultimate Yakuza, and everyone knew it. She would have been a better heir to the Kuzuryuu clan, but…”
He trailed off then, as if the rest were too painful to remember. You reached across the table, and placed your hand on his.
“I’m sorry for your loss, Fuyuhiko.”
He said nothing then, just stared blankly in front of them. Despair and hope were waging a war within his mind, and it was all you could do to pray for hope.
Over the past few weeks, you felt as though you had made significant progress bringing Fuyuhiko back to the side of hope. You began to think that the Neo-World might not even be necessary; perhaps you could bring the Remnants back to their former selves without erasing their memories of despair.
What you did not know was that Fuyuhiko had a plan of his own: to convert you to the side of despair.
With each session, he felt himself growing closer to you. He wanted you to feel the chaos of despair, just as he did.
You would never admit it, but you felt yourself growing closer to him as well. You hated yourself for it: it was unprofessional, it was wrong, Naegi was counting on you, how could you let yourself get distracted?
You recalled your last session with him; you’ve been encouraging to recall his memories of being a student of Hope’s Peak.
“Kazuichi was obsessed with Sonia,” said Fuyuhiko. “Still is, I guess. The bastard was always fuckin’ following her around. ‘Suppose she liked Gundham better though.”
Ah, Gundham. You had met with him a few times, but he would always start shouting about “unleashing pandemonium” on you, so your sessions with him were few and far between.
“But that Teruteru bastard was even worse than Kazuichi,” he continued. “That pervert would fuck anything with a pulse!”
You laughed then, and Fuyuhiko began to laugh too. Sitting across from you, with his hands bound to the chair, he had nothing to do other than stare at you and admire you. It dawned on him that he loved the sound of your laughter, it brought him hope. But before long, despair settled in again, and he felt a strong desire to hurt you: he loved the sound of your laugh, and so he longed for the despair he would feel at the sound of your screams. He could imagine himself standing over you, with a revolver in his hand, listening to you beg and cry for your life. The despair it brought him to imagine you in pain was absolutely glorious.
Meanwhile, you considered how different the Remnants were now, compared to Fuyuhiko’s classroom stories. You had to ask about it once more.
“Fuyuhiko, I just don’t understand. It seems like after Yukizome became your teacher, all of you were filled with hope… it just doesn’t make sense, how you’ve all ended up like...this… Please, tell me, what did Junko do to you all?”
He ignored your question almost entirely, simply grinning before repeating your words back to you. “After Yukizome became our teacher, heh...Chisa Yukizome…Hahahaha!”
You didn’t understand. What was so funny, you wondered. It was impossible for you to know that Chisa Yukizome herself, your esteemed colleague, was also a Remnant of Despair, and had participated in turning the students into Remnants.
“Please, Fuyu,” you begged softly. “I want to help you, I want to fill you with hope. Tell me what filled you with despair, so I can reverse it…”
“I can’t tell you… but I’ll show you,” Fuyuhiko said slyly. You didn’t have time to consider what he meant, because in a flash he rose from the chair, bounds undone. You hadn’t noticed him freeing himself, he must have distracted you with his stories in order to free himself without raising suspicion. He brandished a sharp object in his hand, and you wondered if he had crafted a makeshift knife out of a utensil given to him earlier.
“Fuyu…?” You asked, terrified. In seconds, he had thrown the knife across the room and directly into your chest. It cut deep, and the pain of the wound and the betrayal burned deep. Blood began to pour from your chest, painting your crisp white shirt a bright magenta pink.
He rushed to your side, and you could see genuine pain in his expression, despite the despair that swirled in his eyes.
“Watching you die… will bring me so much...despair!” He murmured, as he wrapped his arms around you and pulled your dying body closer to him. “Seeing you in pain… pain that I inflicted… makes me feel so hopeless…!”
“F-fuyu… please,” you gasped, before coughing up blood. It was pointless; your words could no longer reach him. Any pleading only pushed him further into despair. The hopelessness of the situation filled you both with despair.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and there you saw Makoto, Toko, and Kyoko.
“Y/N?!” Makoto exclaimed, shocked at your injuries. At the sight of your blood, Toko fainted immediately, and then awoke as Genocide Jill. Using her detective skills, Kyoko quickly connected the dots between Fuyuhiko being free from his bounds and your injury.
“Genocide Jill!” Kyoko called out. “Apprehend the Remnant.”
Using her scissors, it was easy for her to pin the yakuza to the wall, although Kyoko did have to restrain her from killing him, as Genocide Jill was eager to kill the “adorable little man.”
Makoto had already rushed over to you, picking you up and carrying you out of the room.
“Don’t worry Y/N, you’re going to be okay! I’ll get you help, okay? Just stay with me,” Makoto said, trying to keep you calm. “I’m glad I came when I did.”
“Perfect… timing,” you mumbled, barely audible. “You...really are… the Ultimate...Lucky Student.”
Makoto chuckled, still carrying you out of the room. Over his shoulder, you could still see Fuyuhiko, who Kyoko was interrogating. Maybe you were delirious from the blood loss, but he almost seemed relieved that you were being saved; it was as though he were hopeful you would survive.
                                                       LATER
The Neo World Program was successfully completed. Despite it being hijacked by Izuru Kamakura, a few of the Remnants were able to survive the Killing School Trip, and now it was time for you, Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, and Byakuya Togami to enter the simulation for yourselves, in order to prevent Alter Ego Junko Enoshima from spreading despair to the entire world.
It had been a while since you had seen Fuyuhiko, and although you had physically recovered from your injury, you hadn’t recovered from his betrayal. He had tricked you, manipulated you, and then tried to kill you. Of course, he had been under the influence of Junko’s despair, and you would be lying if you said you didn’t still care for him. You wanted to save him, you wanted hope to win the battle against despair within his mind
When you entered the simulation and appeared at the class trial ground, you were incredibly shocked to see the version of Fuyuhiko that stood before you. He was filled with both hope, and despair. His heart was full of hope, full of love for his sister Natsumi and best friend Peko and classmate Chiaki, but also full of despair, from the grief of losing them.
Initially, he was willing to side with despair, to let Junko take over, if it meant he would get to see his best friend, Peko. You couldn’t let that happen, you couldn’t allow despair to consume him again.
“Fuyuhiko, please!” You begged, causing him to focus on you; he remembered you slightly, you had been in the 78th class of Hope’s Peak Academy while he had been in the 77th. “I...I know you don’t remember me, but I remember you. And I’ve seen hope in you, Fuyu. Please, don’t fall into despair. Choose hope. For Chiaki. For Peko. For Natsumi. Please, choose hope for me.”
He could not remember you, but upon seeing you plead for his hope, he felt something. A connection. A sense of deja vu. He knew that, in the real world, you must have been something to him, something important.
“Y/N…” he muttered, allowing your name to flood his mind. Hearing your name escape his lips, it filled him with hope. “I… I choose hope! Let’s end this fuckin’ killing game!”
And so, Hajime, who had remembered his other identity of Izuru, ended the killing game, and the surviving Remnants woke up, cured of their despair.
It pained you to see the others, who had remained comatose. You had faith in Hajime, who declared that he would use the talents he had gained from becoming Izuru in order to save the other Remnants.
After the simulation ended, you reunited with Fuyuhiko.
“Y/N… you saved me. You gave me hope, when I was filled with so much fuckin’ despair,” he said. “Even though I hurt you… you still believed in me… but I don’t deserve your forgiveness. Not after what I…”
He looked at you, wincing when he noticed your visible scar from his attack.
“Fuyuhiko, please, there’s nothing to forgive you for. It wasn’t your fault, it was Junko’s.”
“Junko,” he said through gritted teeth. “That fuckin’ bitch. If she wasn’t already dead, I would fuckin’ kill her. Because of her despair, I… I wanted to hurt you… so that I could feel the despair of seeing someone I.. someone I love… in pain.”
A blush came across his face as he finished, and for a moment, you couldn’t believe what you heard.
“S-someone… you love..?” You asked.
“Don’t fuckin make me say it again, Y/N…!” He was visibly embarrassed, refusing to make eye contact. You were sure this was the happiest day of your life, Fuyuhiko had been cured of despair, and confessed his love for you. You were absolutely speechless, so he spoke again.
“Should’ve done this a long fuckin’ time ago,” he said, before his hand on your waist and pulling  you into a passionate kiss.

ASOOT Timeline: April 2012
(Note from the Timeline Anon: It's gonna be too overwhelming to get everything done all at once, so I shall post these in month-long increments as I'm done with them. The next time I make a submission, it will be for the events of May 2012. Also, if I miss anything important, please let me know!)
April 16: Hajime Hinata wakes up in 2012, having traveled back from the Tragedy Timeline’s version of 2017. After reuniting with Chiaki Nanami and discovering that his situation is similar to one of the video games she likes (Zero Escape), he vows to change history in order to save the world from the Tragedy.
April 17: Hajime officially begins his first mission: stopping the Twilight Syndrome murders. He starts to establish a connection with Honami Sato and (re)introduces himself to Mahiru Koizumi, Mikan Tsumiki, Hiyoko Saionji, and Ibuki Mioda. From them, he finds out that Honami plans to take an exam in order to enter the Main Course as the Ultimate Archer.
April 18:
During his morning game session with Chiaki, Hajime encounters Chisa Yukizome; afterwards, he assures her that he has taken their talk at the fountain to heart.
Later, Hajime and Honami have a discussion about talent; he tries to tell her that talent isn’t everything, but she remains committed to getting into the Main Course.
After school, Hajime and Nagito Komeda briefly butt heads with each other over Nagito’s personal philosophy regarding talent, and Hajime and Chaki begin their playthrough of 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. The first death scene of the game triggers Hajime’s PTSD, worrying Chiaki, who decides to skip the remaining death scenes.
April 19:
In PE class, Hajime attempts to ask Honami about her scar, only to be angrily brushed off.
As Akane Owari and Nekomaru Nidai fight in the classroom (again), Chiaki tells Sonia Nevermind about Hajime’s distress over the 999 death scene. Kazuichi Souda angrily asks Akane and Nekomaru if they can keep it down so that he can work.
Hajime and Chiaki finish their playthrough of 999. Hajime invites Chiaki to hang out at his house during the weekend. She accepts, and they exchange contact information.
April 20:
Honami takes her archery exam, but fails to achieve a spot in the Main Course. Afterwards, Mahiru and Hajime attempt to comfort her, but she insists on being left alone. Mahiru admits to Hajime that Honami’s scar is from before the two friends came to Hope’s Peak, although she doesn’t give details, and Hajime offers his support.
After school, Honami approaches Hajime at the fountain and tells him about her and Mahiru’s rocky history with the Kuzuryu Clan, including the origin story of the aforementioned scar. She also admits that she suffers from schizophrenia. Hajime offers her his support and friendship.
That night, at the Kuzuryu residence, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu tells his family about all the adventures he and Peko Pekoyama have had at Hope’s Peak. Natsumi Kuzuryu becomes fed up with this and wishes that she could attend the school as well. Fuyuhiko offers her a spot as the “Ultimate Little Sister,” which she eagerly accepts.
April 21: Chiaki comes over to Hajime’s house. They play Virtue’s Last Reward, then bond over the fact that both of them have distant parents. Chiaki tells Hajime that he can call her by her first name if he wants.
April 22:
Chiaki tells Nagito about her day with Hajime, and Nagito admits that he finds Hajime interesting and wouldn’t mind talking to him again.
Hajime maps out the timeline of the Twilight Syndrome murders and plans on how best to prevent them.
April 23:
Hajime confides in Honami about his struggles with his scholarship, although he leaves out the specifics about the Kamakura Project. Honami suggests he talk with Chiaki about it; she also agrees to help him if necessary.
After he comes across Nagito talking with Tsubasa Kamii (a Student Council member), Hajime has an intense PTSD flashback to the Student Council killing game. His episode lands him in the nurse’s office, where he ends up staying until school is over.
Chiaki walks Hajime home. He tells her about his struggles with his scholarship, although he once again leaves out the specifics. She insists on finding a way to help him.
Natsumi tells Fuyuhiko that their parents have agreed to let her transfer to Hope’s Peak.
April 24:
Aiko Umesawa and Kiriko Nishizawa go to see Umeko Hayase at the Physics Building to follow up on her request for an electronic chalkboard. They tell her that they will ask the Student Council to look into it.
Hajime, still upset over his PTSD episode, calls in sick from school.
It’s Mahiru’s birthday. She turns 17.
April 25: Hajime returns to school. Honami lends him her notes.
April 26: The Kuzuryu parents tell Fuyuhiko and Peko that Natsumi has not been accepted into the Main Course and will have to attend the Reserve Course until she can prove her talents to Hope’s Peak.
April 27: Hajime and Chiaki discuss a bad game that Chiaki’s struggling with. Chiaki insists that she’s going to beat it on all difficulties before October.
April 28:
Fuyuhiko and Peko tell Natsumi that she’s going to be in the Reserve Course. She’s upset at first, but brightens upon learning that she can get into the Main Course if she proves herself.
It’s Nagito’s birthday. He turns 17.
April 29: Hajime makes his final preparations for Natsumi’s arrival.
April 30:
Natsumi arrives at Hope’s Peak, introducing herself as the “Ultimate Little Sister.” She and Honami are at each other’s throats from the get-go. Hajime and Mahiru intervene to stop the fight. Afterwards, Mahiru and Honami comfort each other over lunch, while Natsumi tells Hajime to keep his nose out of other people’s business.
Hajime and Natsumi have another conversation in the afternoon. Natsumi warns Hajime to stay away from Honami, brags about her brother, expresses insecurity over not being an Ultimate, and declares that she will become the Ultimate Little Sister soon enough.

“I don’t mind” with kuzuhina if you’re up for it! 👀
👀 you know it’s kuzuhina brainrot hours up in here.
-non!despair AU because I’m already putting my boys through so much in WCN. Let’s just pretend that Junko got yeeted, or was never Ultimate Despair or something, because I’m too tired to come up with a plot reason as to why all that shit never happened. -in this specific version of no despair, hajime went through with the kamakura project, but his parents ended up finding out everything and threatened to completely ruin hope’s peak’s reputation by coming out with it publicly if they didn’t get their kid back (oddly enough, just after he’d gotten luck. Funny how that works out huh?) -it was haime’s choice to join the main course, mostly because he wanted to apologise to chiaki for disappearing for like two months. -tl;dr, hajime is still hajime just with a few random talents thrown in for good measure
Impossible thing 1: Hajime Hinata was an ex-Reserve Course student that had found himself as a second-year in the Main course.
Everybody was told that he would have joined in their first year, but that he got sick and needed to recover from surgery. While not technically a full lie, that certainly didn’t encompass the whole truth. Chiaki didn’t believe that was the end for a second, since she’d known him before. That afternoon had consisted of an incredibly awkward Hajime explaining that he maybe-sorta-kinda underwent some pretty drastic neurological surgery to artificially implant talent into him to act as the Ultimate Hope, but that his parents had stopped it before it went too far and that’s why he’d disappeared off the face of the Earth for two whole months. Whoops, sorry, I’ll never do it again, but hey now we’re classmates! Isn’t that great?
Fuyuhiko too wasn’t convinced by the story either, but he didn’t say anything at the time. Instead, he’d just made the most direct and nearly painful eye contact that Hajime had ever been on the receiving end of, just to let him know that he knew it was all bullshit.
Impossible thing 2: In the months that he’d been in the Main Course, he’d found himself becoming friends with just about everybody.
Hajime had fallen in line with his classmates surprisingly easily. Even with Fuyuhiko who was all rough edges and cursing. Actually, if he thought about it, besides Chiaki he probably got along with him the best. The two of them talked pretty often, even exchanging phone numbers and continuing to talk after classes were over. A few times, he’d gone out to the arcade with Fuyuhiko and the two of them had eaten their weight’s worth in sweets (a story he was absolutely not allowed to tell anybody else, on pain of death via Yakuza).
Outside of his friendship with Fuyuhiko, he’d become the de-facto counsellor of the class. It made sense, he was pretty sure that Ultimate Counsellor was a talent he had, but he hadn’t expected it to come up so often. Nearly everybody came to him with their problems, and he helped them figure out the right answer. He never told them what to do, just asked questions that led to an agreeable outcome. Which is pretty much what a counsellor does, so he’d taken the role in stride.
Impossible thing 3: He had the biggest, most terrifying crush on Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu.
Okay, maybe that one wasn’t necessarily impossible, but it had certainly taken a few gaming sessions with Chiaki to work through. He came to realise it whilst making plans with Fuyuhiko in class, and Kazuichi had butted his head in to ask them about their “date”. Both him and Fuyuhiko had turned cherry-red, the latter spluttering out that it “wasn’t any of your fucking business, Soda” – cut to approximately three days of him having a crisis in the general direction of Chiaki while she played a new video game and talked it out with him.
After that, he’d promptly decided to die with his feelings lest he completely ruin that friendship and have to deal with it for another year in the same class as Fuyuhiko. If that happened, he would be getting a one-way ticket back into the neurologist’s office and actually getting all of his personality and memories removed, even if it had to be done via a spoon and some willpower.
Impossible thing 4: Actually, that had been a date, and now he had to go through the process of meeting Fuyuhiko’s sister in order to get “approved”.
He was sure that had at least half-been a joke, but it had hit him like a ton of bricks nonetheless. Hadn’t Natsumi been in his class in the reserve course? That was a lot to unpack, and he definitely had to put all his cards on the table. He felt bad lying anyway, but he was absolutely-100%-no-shadow-of-a-doubt sure that Natsumi wouldn’t put up with a single ounce of his shit if he tried to lie his way out of it. Which, incidentally, is how he found himself in an empty classroom with Fuyuhiko at lunch, after saying he had something important to tell him.
There was no good way to go about this. If it had been awkward with Chiaki, it was going to be a thousand times more awkward with Fuyuhiko. There was no way he could just say “hey, by the way, while I didn’t technically lie about recovering from surgery, I wasn’t sick at all! In fact, this academy was doing some crazy experiments on my brain, and now I have talent to boot!”, so instead he was stuttering and trying to find the correct words to say.
“I, uh, haven’t told you the whole truth about why I’m here. Like, at Hope’s Peak, not in this classroom,” Hajime felt himself getting red in the face, “Obviously. You know how they said I was recovering from surgery?”
“That bullshit story? C’mon, I don’t care why you’re here, I’m just glad that you are. Finally got the class to stop breathing down my neck about why me and Peko aren’t dating.”
So far so not-terrible.
“Well uh, yeah. It wasn’t all bullshit. I was recovering from surgery,” The redness in his face was definitely getting worse, “N-not that I’m sick or anything! It’s just that I was a Reserve student last year, and I got offered a place in the Main Course if I’d let them implant talent inside my brain. Didn’t quite go all the way with it, my parents were pretty mad when they found out everything about the project, but I ended up with a couple talents so the school let me join anyway.”
Hajime hadn’t thought silence could be deafening until then. Fuyuhiko was just looking at him, somewhere between horrified and disgusted. It was hard to tell which. Alarm bells in his head were screaming ABORT, MISSION FAILURE, TIME TO MOVE OUT OF THE PREFECTURE AND START A NEW LIFE AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.
“Wait, so you’re saying that you’re not an Ultimate?”
“Not organically, no. I wanted to tell you since we were gonna hang out with Natsumi later, and she was in my class in the Reserve course. Wanted you to hear it from me rather than her, y’know? I don’t like lying, and I feel like I have been. So, yeah. That’s the important thing,” Hajime willed the ground to swallow him whole. It didn’t.
Impossible thing 5: That conversation actually turned out alright.
“Y’know I don’t mind, right?” Hajime’s brain completely stopped for a moment at that, before rebooting to listen to what came next, “Natsumi told me about a Hajime in her class. Description and everything. Did some digging, found out that you were the same guy. Didn’t wanna mention it in case it was a sore subject. I’m glad you told me though, don’t you fuckin’ dare try and keep a secret this big from me in the future, alright?”
The response he came up with was little more than “I-yeah-okay. Promise.”
Fuyuhiko nodded at him then grinned, “Now don’t go making me worry about you like that again. Got it? I thought you were gonna tell me that you were actually fuckin’ sick. Unless being a dumbass is a disease, in which case I think it’s terminal.”
