Oh I forgot to say.

Bug (4) is going to start school now so we’ve been doing literacy practice. One set of exercises was about “opposites” and I drew a card reading “fat”. Ok what’s the opposite of fat.

Bug thought about it and then said dreamily: “meat.”

#and they’re RIGHT #bear bug and mouse #this will be because the fat part of meats such as roast chicken or steak #are naturally to Bug the most desirable #and we don’t really use the word fat #Bug does call things Plump though #but their first reference for fat is the delicious delicious stuff at the very edge of roasted meat that they always want most

strange that "skinny" means thin. it should mean...skinny. characterized by skin. possessing or characterized by an above average amount of skin. more skin rather than less skin. but somehow it means less skin? preposterous

I like to think that it was really hard for Telemachus to consider Odysseus as his father despite all of the years he's been titling him as one. It's easier to trust that someone gone will come back, than to actually believe and envelope the fact that they're here.
