The distant scientist, renowned for being hard to get close to was someone you used to consider one of you closest friends. The two of you spent day and night together, hellbent of cracking open every single challenge you possibly could together. Many considered you two to be able to solve any mystery put in front of you together.
The keyword was together.
There was a mystery you yourself couldn’t solve; Why was Albedo’s time with you slowly becoming a rarity?
You’d been wondering why he’d been spending so much less time in the lab he’d meticulously built over years of his life or on site where his precious research was being buried little by little by crystalline flakes, tending to his experiments and recording time sensitive data that would be valuable for months to come for the research team. Albedo had been gone so long both you and Sucrose had designed a plan in order to cover the work he’s left unattended whilst managing your own on top of the store. It was beginning to get concerning. If the leader of the investigation squad was absent constantly then what did that mean for the rest of you? Surely he was only gone for the sake of something important he’d found, something he placed above everything else he was researching. That’s what you lent yourself into believing.
That is, until you saw him with her.
You couldn’t blame him honestly, Lumine was gorgeous. Her golden hair and fiery eyes are what a lot of men probably look for in a partner, even more so was the mystery behind her origins and the raw power she held in her fingertips at any given moment.
You didn’t have to have a vision to be able to tell that.
Maybe that was another thing he sought in her.
A traveling partner that could wield the powers of the elements, a traveling partner that could hold their own against the world. Maybe that wasn’t all he was looking for but also a romantic partner.
He finally came back to the investigation camp briefly one night, it was during a particularly rough blizzard ravaging across Dragonspine and the areas surrounding it a little like a turbulent child tossing snowflakes across already painted, buried monochrome peaks. He trudged into the camp with her rambunctious adventuring party, shouted something over the whipping wind about how they should get warm inside one of the communal tents dotted around the sparse camp halfway up the summit you inhabited and then ducked into the burgundy tent you were working away in with nothing but the clinking of vials harmonizing with the bubbling of flames. It was nothing but candle light right then in the morbid lonely night, only the sounds of the howling gales outside of the ones in your lab. If you’d felt like you were being watched during the night before now, Albedo’s piercing analytical gaze did nothing but soothe the loneliness you’d held inside yourself all night.
“I need a strong multi use Geoculus locator, if we have any.” The blonde said
He must’ve seen your shoulders perk up because he waited patiently as you searched through the shelves upon shelves of prototypes you’ve developed. After somehow finding one, you patted over to him. He seemed pleased with your work, if a bit distant as usual. He was in a good mood so you guessed would be the best time if any to ask. “Sir… with all due respect why have you been away so long?”
Albedo’s pale face was blank as usual though he blinked as if surprised you spoke, “Lumine needed someone with a sufficient Geo vision, I happened to be the one she knew the best to get the job done.”
“So you’ll be returning?”
“I never said that.”
You tried not to take it harshly, this was just how he spoke after all. “…could I come along then?” It was a long shot yes but you still missed his company, if it meant having to deal with him getting buddy buddy with that Outrider then you would suffer.
It was quiet for a moment between you two as you stared him down and he observed the locator thoroughly. After he was pleased enough with the golden glowing device it was packed away into his back pocket without so much as a second thought, the man was obviously stalling while he thought carefully over the question but the result wouldn’t be to your liking evidently. You were about to make  a point you hoped would be convincing before he spoke, his voice sharp and words cold like the very ice being tossed around the blackened sky.
“No, you’re not a skilled enough fighter so you’d only slow us down more than we can handle to be right now. You’d be useless to us.” He put a hand to his chin for a moment in thought, “If you’d had been able to development a synthetic elemental burst like Sucrose’s swirl mark II…I would have considered but you can’t even do that.”
Watching him leave with them the morning after was torturous, they rushed off into the snowy landscape with barely a goodbye and never a second glance from Albedo beyond that. It stung.
Maybe that’s why when hilichurl camps, specifically ones becoming a nuisance to caravans as well as supply lines along Dragonspine almost avidly to the near point where there would be commissions called in, were brought up in conversation you elected to take a weapon and simply clear them out yourself. You could barely fight one off but usually they were smaller towards the base of the mountain so you figured it would be alright. You would just patch yourself up if you got a bit injured. Surely the pain of the injures would busy your silly little heart long enough to forget about Albedo and his cruel words to you, surely you would barricade your feelings of pining behind walls of broken bones and struggling through the snow. Maybe that was the remedy, the answer you needed to your mystery. Your pleas would probably be hidden by the snowstorms anyways.
Mitachurls unfortunately inhabited bigger camps. Thankfully, Frost Lawlichurls tended to live alone. The former happened to find it’s way to you, charging with the might of a bull on ozmanthys wine. As you were bowled over you heard an abrupt shout, maybe saw a brief flash of familiar golden light as the battle grounds around you erupted further into chaos but it didn’t matter that pale arms were abruptly gripping you to a panicked sword user. Your vision was to blurry, the shouts of attacks and spells too muffled and faint, your body felt too limp to comprehend even the though of moving. You could barely breathe.
Someone was muttering, crouched around you and holding you close, muttering something over and over again. Something important. The feeling of their lips pressed against your forehead, his quiet gut heaving sobs as he rocked you back and forth. Albedo’s pleas for you to just hang on a moment longer—
Where were you again?
There was sunlight and it was warm, a pleasant warmth that almost lulled you back to the sleep you’d fallen into. The only thing that kept you awake was that this was indeed not your bed.
Where were you?
Sitting up hurt, your whole body ached and you were certain something must have been rearranged or was missing because the pain shot through you like an arrow. Your sharp exhale alerted the two others in the room, one who immediately sprinted to get a nurse in an emerald and navy flurry of skirts and capes.
You were dizzy, only steadied by a gentle hand on your limp shoulder. Ah, when did you turn to face him?
The blonde man infront of you asked if you remembered what happened, his voice was soft but didn’t hold any emotion. The smoky circles around his beautiful striking cerulean eyes did nothing but worry you slightly as they implied a long period of time without sleep. You’d imagine him to be the sciency type who didn’t really know what to think of other people so he stayed nose deep in books to pass the time, though there was a deep sadness in the way he held himself you couldn’t understand.
“I don’t…who are you?” You thought you saw him flinch but figured it was a trick of the light.
“No one important, nevermind me.” The man sat up with an unreadable expression even for how blank it had been for this whole brief conversation after you had awoken, getting up from his chair to begin walking to the door when he stopped. “I’m sorry.”
“…for what?” You didn’t understand.
“Nothing that would natter now, please. Rest.”
You didn’t remember.

Real or Not Real?
This is on AO3 as well. Chapter 2 was just posted there.
Davis stepped up to the vendor, ordering a hot dog while glancing around furtively. What Mrs. Luthor could possibly want with some bubbly blonde reporter he didn’t know, but he wasn’t planning on asking. He had a lot on the line, and her offer made this one small mission worth it. He didn’t have to do much, just get close enough. Luthor had promised that it wouldn’t do any permanent damage, so he’d accepted.
There she was, on her way towards to Catco building. She held a coffee tray in one hand, and a notepad in the other. Grabbing the proffered hot dog, he casually moved in behind her as she passed by. He fingered the device with his free hand nervously.  He sped up, and purposefully brushed it against her hand lightly. She paused mid-step for half a second, barely a hesitance, but his breath caught. She continued on as before, and his breath released. Done. That was all there was too it. Keeping up his brisk pace, he left her behind, and never looked back.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Kara headed for James’ office with the coffee tray in hand. She stopped at Eve’s desk, offering her the extra cup she was carrying. “Good morning Eve. How are you doing?” Kara greeted with a smile, adding jokingly, “James isn’t pushing you too hard is he?”
The bubbly assistant grinned back, taking the proffered beverage. “No Ms. Zor-El, and I’m doing just great!” She winked. “You’re a bit late. Better get in there before he starts shouting for Kira.”
Icy fear shot through her, and she stared, dumbfounded, as Eve giggled. “What did you just say?” she forced out.
The smile slipped from Eve’s face. She cocked her head, and said, “You’re a bit late? I’m sorry, was that too familiar of me?”
Kara shook her head, urgently clarifying, “No. Um, I meant, what did you call me?”
“Ms. Danvers?”
Kara’s spiking heartrate slowed. Oh . Why on earth had she thought Eve, of all people, would call her Ms. Zor-El? Her mind must have been playing a trick on her. Shaking her head, she tried to reassure Eve. “Oh. Sorry, I thought you said something else. Plus, haven’t I asked you to call me Kara?”
Eve nodded, the smile reforming, albeit confusedly. Fiddling with her hands, Kara continued into the office. The spooky incident had spiked her adrenaline. Taking in a deep breath, she released it slowly and let a smile expand on her face. James looked over as soon as she came in and smiled in greeting as Snapper Carr continued addressing everyone.
As soon as Snapper Carr took notice of her though, he addressed her mockingly, “Oh, Danvers, so glad you could join us. As a reward for your stellar punctuality, you get the closing animal shelter downtown. “
Kara brightened. Oh she knew I was supposed to be a punishment, but that animal shelter really mattered to her. She volunteered there on some weekends. Maybe if she got the word out it could help save it, or find the animals homes at the very least. “Yes sir.”
He rolled his eyes. “Kevin, you get the Lord Tech interview…”
Kara searched her bag for her notebook, so she could write anything important down, but when she looked back up, Snapper looked kind of… fuzzy? Yep, his shape was looking less and less out of focus. She rubbed her eyes. What the heck? Everything else looked just as crystal clear as it usually was, but even his voice was becoming muffled. A glance at everyone else’s faces confirmed she was the only one experiencing the strange phenomenon. Making sure to keep herself from straight up gaping at him, she thought hard about possible causes. Nothing about this made sense.
“Kiera? Keira!”
“Oh, yes?”
She turned away from the blurry man to look straight into the eyes of Cat Grant. She stepped back in surprise, but one blink later James Olsen stood back in her place. Something was seriously wrong.
“Kara, are you ok? You’re looking really pale.”
James’ worry was apparent, and not without just cause. Supergirl did not just turn really pale out of nowhere. But just as quickly as it had come, everything had gone back to normal. Snapper looked fine, and she’d stopped hallucinating.  She seemed fine now. Maybe her exhaustion had gotten to her for a moment. She could handle whatever it was for now, and she’d head to the DEO for a checkup later if it continued. So she assured him nothing was wrong, and the meeting continued with no further incidents.
The next incident didn’t happen until later, when she sat down to work on the article. It seemed she had barely started when she looked at the clock to see 4 hours had passed, and the screen in front of her showed a full, complete article that she had no memory of writing. Kara blinked. Reading through the magical article brought no familiarity, aside from the fact that it sounded exactly like her. Ok, she definitely needed to go to the DEO now. She stood abruptly, and headed to the elevator, darkness swirling on the edges of her vision. She staggered into a see through James on her way.
“Woah, Kara. What’s going on with you today?” he groaned, still aching from their collision.
She clung to him, the dark swirls growing and in a world that felt like it was collapsing around her. “Somethings very wrong with me. I need Alex.”
He said something in reply, but she ability to understand him faded. She found herself being pulled the rest of the way to the elevator, but it was difficult to tell with all her senses shutting down around her. Then she was gone.
Silence greeted her as she came into awareness. She hadn’t experienced anything close to quiet since she’d arrived on earth. Everything, from her own breath to the dog in the other side of town, flooded her ears constantly. One might think the silence would have been relieving, but to Kara it was panic inducing. She strained her ears, hoping to hear anything, but searching for something very specific. Where was Alex’s heartbeat? Winn’s? Anyone’s?
Nothing.
Her eyes snapped open, but it did the opposite of help. Black nothingness surrounded her. She blinked frantically, hoping something would change, but it didn’t. Pushing her arms outward, they didn’t even fully extend before hitting the insides of the pod. She ran her hands over the whole surrounding surface desperately, but all she felt were overwhelmingly close walls on all sides. She couldn’t even try to pretend to be calm. The darkness, the tiny pod… the silence; this was the phantom zone from her memories, cut off from everyone and everything she'd ever known.
No. Nonononono.
Her thoughts scrambled, registering nothing beyond pure terror. Was the descent back into the terrified child who spent decades here really so quick? Or had she never even left in the first place. The doubt had occurred to her before. She couldn’t deny it.  The question, was Earth really real? Could she have really been so lucky as to be taken in by the Danvers? To be a superhero, saving the world time and time again after her own world was destroyed? Or was it all the dream of a desperate, traumatized girl who couldn’t handle reality, stuck in an endless void with little else to do but dream?
The day had been so crazy, as if the dream was ending, finally collapsing after so many years.Stop. She couldn’t go down that road. Alex was real. Her sister was not a figment of her imagination. Her breath came in quick spurts as she tried to reign the panic in and focus on the problem at hand. She needed to figure out how she’d gotten here, and what had truly happened. Last thing she remembered before the day had started falling apart was coming into work in the morning with a muffin for Eve. Wait… a coffee.
She’d forgotten. Already, the finer details were slipping away like the morning after a good dream. Except, no peace came with this wakeup call. She had to think harder, how could she have possibly traveled thousands of miles to the phantom zone in an instant? Black Mercy This reminded her of waking up in her old room back on Krypton and having her memories slowly slip away. Whatever had caused this had to be some kind of reverse Black Mercy, instead of her greatest desire, it created her greatest fear. Ok, she’d just have to hold onto her memories tighter this time.
The best way to stick things in your brain, besides writing, is to say them out loud, so she started talking, “I am Kara Danvers. I have a sister named Alex Danvers who loves me. I have friends named Winn Schott, Lena Luthor, and James Olsen. I am Supergirl and I save people on Earth. – “
What if the black mercy was just another dream that mixed with this one? What if it’s really not real?
Kara screamed behind gritted teeth, clutching her head, as if that could force the thought out, and continued her chant stubbornly. “I have cousin named… Kal-El. He had another name. What was it? What was it?!  Urgh. I am Kara Zor-El. I have a loving sister named Alex Danvers. My best friends are Winn, Lena, and James. I am … a superhero named… Kara Zor-El. I have a loving sister named Alex Danvers. I have three amazing friends.”
The dark nothingness and silence of the zone tugged at her memories, pushing feelings of despair and hopeless grief in their place. But Kara held on to her memories of Alex tightly, keeping the image of her dark red/brown hair and loving brown eyes firmly in the forefront of her mind.
Soon she was left chanting the same phrase over and over, “I am Kara Zor-El and my sister Alex loves me.”
Kara chanted that phrase for a very long time before it dissolved into pure sobs. She couldn’t move in the restricting pod, forever trapped. Butthe silence… the silence. She’d spent years hearing anything and everything. She’d developed coping mechanisms by focusing on her family’s heartbeats. Proving to herself that she wasn’t alone, drowning out the rest of the world and just breathing in their very existence. That relief had been snatched away, leaving her floundering in an endless, unchanging void.
You can only scream and cry for so long before all that’s left is oppressive despondency. She watched as the darkness swirled, and as what originally seemed like nothing revealed itself to be almost alive. Light did not exist in the phantom zone, yet somehow she could see it, could feel it all around.
The silence left her alone with her thoughts, with thoughts of Krypton, of Alex, and of the many other dreams she had had in the phantom zone. Sometimes she wondered if even Krypton had been real, or if she had simply always been a part of the phantom zone. Sometimes she could almost hear, on the edges of her consciousness, the whispers of those long gone. Of those who’d never even existed. She heard the voice of Alex pleading for her to come back.
Wait… her voice was getting louder. A bright light burst though, and the phantom zone melted around her, transforming into a sterile lab. Kara shot up, hands outstretched as far as they would go. The light burned her eyes, but she didn’t dare close them, afraid of returning to the eternal darkness that imprisoned her.
The blurry form of Alex swam into view. “Oh, thank Rao! I was so scared!”
Alex pulled Kara into a tight hug that she could barely feel. That seemed strange. In most dreams, she could feel things. She remembered the hug her mother had held her in before her planet exploded, and she remembered the love she had felt, but also the fear. She wondered if that had been a dream as well.

ReyxFem Imagine (NSFW)
Request: I have a request for TFA, a steamy make out session (and maybe more) with Rey and a fem reader?
Summary: Rey is navigating things on the Resistance base, where she runs into you, and decides to confess her feelings for you before leaving to find Luke.
You continued to work on the Millenium Falcon with a few other engineers. By tomorrow it would be all ready for Rey’s journey to find Luke. You glanced around to see if Rey was nearby, but you couldn’t see her. It had only been a few days but you were thinking you might be developing feelings for the beautiful scavenger. You focused for a few more minutes until someone next to you cleared their throat.
“Are you sure you want to do that?” She asked in her lovely voice. You suddenly felt blood rush to your cheeks. One closer look showed you that you were about to link the wrong wires together.
“Oh dear. Thank goodness you rescued the Falcon from a horrid fate at my hands.” You teased, but Rey smiled back at you.
“Y/N?” Rey began, causing you to look at her. “Are you about done for the day?” She asked, seeming almost nervous.
“Yeah, I just have to patch this up then I’m done for the day.” I said, continuing my work.
“Well, I’m going to wait a few minutes, could we possibly talk when you are done? If that’s okay.” Rey suddenly looked to her feet.
“Sure,” You answered, taking Rey in. “Give me five minutes and I will be right over.” She nodded and smiled. You turned and went about quickly finishing your work. What could Rey possibly want from you? Maybe she was nervous about flying the Falcon tomorrow and just wanted to talk out the details with you? Unsure you shook your head and focused on finishing your work. Once you finished you wiped your hands and walked over to Rey. You suddenly felt very self conscious. You had removed the top part of your engineer jumpsuit and tied it to hang at your waist, leaving your tight black tank top exposed.
Rey nervously jestured for you to follow her. The resistance had come up with some new clothes for her to wear and they looked very good on her. The tan clothes she had arrived in had too much sand caked inform the years, and Rey really deserved a fresh start. You both walked for a while until they arrived in the sleeping quarters. You followed Rey into the room, then waited as the door shut behind you. She paced nervously for a moment and then sat on her bed.
“Rey is everything alright?” You asked, kneeling in front of her. You had never seen your new friend in such an unsettled state before.
She paused for a moment and then took your hand. “Y/N, I have something I want to tell you, and since I leave tomorrow to go find Luke, I thought today was my last chance.” Rey swallowed. “You’re a beautiful woman, Y/N, and I feel things around you that I’ve never felt before. My heart flutters. I get excited whenever I see you. The blood rushes to my cheeks whenever you smile at me, and I can’t stop staring at you in that tank top.” She confessed, looking down at her lap. You tried to think of something to reply to her but your mouth wasn’t working with you.
“Y/N? I just confessed my love for you, at least give me something.” She cried, almost in despair.
You again opened your mouth, but the words didn’t seem to come. So instead you looked into the brown eyes of the beautiful woman in front of you. Without much thought you grabbed her face and planted a kiss on her lips. Excited, Rey pulled you toward her so you both laid on the bed, you on top of her.
“Am I hurting you?” You asked, afraid that your weight was too much on her, but she giggled and shook her head.
“No, this is perfect.” She said.
Your lips met again. You felt like you were eating after being starved for a week. You needed Rey. You reached a hand to her chest and began grabbing her breast, gently, resulting in small moans escaping from her mouth. You decided to do better still, reaching underneath the shirt to play with her nipple. She nearly went wild, her hips beginning to buck underneath you. You could tell she was getting excited.
“Do you want me to?” You asked, looking up at Rey. You didn’t want to push her past where she was comfortable, but you just ached to take in all of her.
“Yes, please.” Rey said. You grinned at her wickedly and began to pull her shirt off. She helped you and began to pull it off. She now laid underneath you, her breasts exposed. You decided to tease Rey just a bit more, lowering your mouth to her nipple. You first flicked it with your tongue, causing Rey to shiver beneath you. Then you went full in, sucking on her breast, kneading the other in your hand. You then began to kiss down her stomach until you were just above her pants. You adjusted yourself and pulled Rey’s pants down. Rey had clearly gotten excited from the kissing, seeing as she was wet in between her legs.
You gave her a wicked smile and kissed until you were right above her clitoris. You put your hands on her hips, pushing your thumbs slightly into her hips as you moved your mouth to her lips. You licked down their slit, and Rey bucked beneath your grip.
“Easy there killer.” You teased. You went back to work, moving down to place sweet kisses on her thighs. You tried a few nibbles on her skin, and reacted positively to it. You finally decided to stop torturing her and put your mouth on her clitoris. You sucked ever so gently, licking it with your tongue, slowly at first. Rey began to moan. You continued to move your tongue, faster and fasted, applying more pressure to the spot on Reys hips. You then heard a cry from Rey and saw that she had climaxed, which you quickly took care of. You adjusted back up her body so you were holding yourself above her.
“Your turn!” She said, pulling you down and rolling on top of you. Quickly you pulled your tank top off, Rey helping you. She sat on you for a moment, taking in your exposed chest. She wasted no time. She began to kiss your neck, and she was kneading both of your breasts. You hadn’t felt this good in a long time. Pleasure coursing through you and escaping your mouth. You gasped as she took your nipple in her mouth and played with it, showing you no mercy. You began to ache for her touch lower. You bucked your hips, hungry for her to touch you. She took this hint quickly and began to pull down tour engineer suit further. When her lips touched you it was magical. A white hot heat began to gather in your stomach. Rey held your thighs as she worked, her grip tight but nice. Suddenly your vision grew blurry. “Oh Rey!” You gasped, feeling yourself climax. Rey made sure you were all set when she came up and laid next to you.
“Well, now how am I supposed to let you leave tomorrow after that?” You asked, suddenly feeling sad.
“We do have a bit more time to be together this evening.” She assured you, giving you a peck on the lips. “Besides, it just gives you something to look forward to when I get back.” She teased.
You groaned and put your hand on her cheek. “You’re very lucky you’re pretty.” You teased, kiss her lips again, dreading that this blissful moment ever had to end.
Let me know what you think of this imagine and please send more in! I believe I have one left to answer. I’m sorry I’ve been quiet for a while, just adjusting to the semester starting back up. Thank you all for reading!
