Newty Newvember challenge day 1; creatures!!

Newt and Leta were sitting in their usual place in the little room, where Newt had kept his creatures hidden from prying eyes. Classes were over, and Newt had come down to care for a new creature he’d found injured just near the forbidden forest. He and Leta had been taking a stroll in the school grounds, talking about what creatures they’d like to explore and see next. They’d been discussing the pheonix bird, when suddenly Newt caught some movement nearby. Once they’d coaxed and caught the little fellow, they’d brought him straight to their little hideout to check him over.

“Why do strange creatures like you so much?” Leta laughted, watching him play with the newest of his collection.

“Well there are no strange creatures, only blinkered people.” Newt replied looking away frowning slightly. He stared hard at the creature’s head, a little hurt. He wished she would understand and see creatures the way he did, he’d lost count how many times he’d had to tell people that they weren’t strange. She should have known not to use those words.

“It’s alright Newt, I’m only teasing. Of course you’re right, they’re not strange.” She said softly stroking his arms. Newt looked at her from the side and gave a litttle smile. “I like them just as much as you do. They’re adorable and interesting.” She smiled in return.

“Do you really mean that?” Newt asked now looking up to look at her.

“Yes of course, that’s why I like hanging around with you. I like hearing you talk about your creatures and all the things you’ve learned. I’v’e learned so much from you Newt and it’s rather fascinating if you ever ask me.” Newt could see she meant it, that she was as interested in them as much as he was. She wouldn’t have stuck by him if she hadn’t been Newt knew. Feeling reasured, Newt relaxed a little.

“Do you want to hold him?” He asked, now holding out the tiny creature for Leta to take.

“Yes I’d love to.” she grinned holding out her hand to take the little guy. The two students sat awhile and played with the creature till late in the evening, enjoying each other’s company and Studying the little creature that they had found that day.

I attempted a study yesterday, and like a fool I didn’t do any kind of sketching so this uh, does not look like Annie. Whoops?

Newvember 4 is available NOW! Pay what you want for 30 tracks spanning multiple genres, styles, moods, and levels of seriousness as we strive to answer for the fourth year in a row: what would you get if you wrote a new song every day for a month? The answer might surprise you. With the album version's seamless playback, each day's ideas bleed into the next, and seemingly disparate themes suddenly come into focus as a whole. This project, written and recorded live on stream (for the most part) explores the ideas of love, death, honour, environmental responsibility, painting a basement suite, and whether or not a quesadilla is a sandwich. It's also free to use under Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial, so after you've downloaded and loved every track feel free to use them in that little side project you've been working on. Until now there’s still a part of me na anxious to teach about what I know in fields like spirituality, philosophy and freelancing.

There thoughts in my mind like…

Can’t believe I’ve been holding myself back for some time because of these thoughts.

How can I use my core gifts to bless the world?

Some people would think that it’s a selfish thing to do. But in my perspective, that’s a way for me to be selfless.

And so, as I invest more in myself and strive to create an impact to the world, allow me to share my insights about the things that I have learned and I will be learning in the next days. I’m so excited to open this new door of opportunity for myself to be more confident and more creative. I look forward to spreading more abundance to the world and to make something that someday I would be able to call my legacy.

For day 14 of Newvember we have the fastest form of Skylo with the Wind Asterisk! On this form Skylo's speed increases dramatically, able to form fast and sharp wind blades and even teleport with the gust of wind! Hope you enjoy!

Newty Newvember challenge prompt 4: Emotions!

There were several emotional moments for Newt. Here are a few for this prompt.

This scene in particular where Newt is being dragged away has to be the most emotional and upsetting scene with Newt. He’s not just devastated, but scared and worried his creatures will be destroyed. It’s probably the first time such a threat to his creatures in his case have been made and it upset him a great deal. It was really hard watching this scene, and listening to him scream like that. Eddie played that scene so well, and portrayed the emotion in such a way that you really feel Newt’s terror, frustration and misery in your very own core. It really made me feel so sorry for him, and so heart broken for Newt hearing him scream and beg for his creature’s lives. Begging them not to hurt his creatures. It felt like torture, and you could feel it through Eddie’s brilliant acting. How frustrated I felt for him, and wanted so badly to go to him and comfort him. To protect him and bring back his creatures to make him feel happy again. He looked so young, so vulnerable, so hurt in that scene. You can’t help but want to protect him from all those people, and whatever fate is coming next. One of the things I notice about Eddie is that he plays emotional scenes really well. He really knows how to make you feel what’s on the screen.

I will add to this prompt tomorrow with more emotional scenes and my thoughts to those for this prompt. TBC….

Hey welcome to yet another Newvember installment. This time we are stepping away from American webcomics and going with some good old manga. This obviously has light-novel isakai written all over it just from the title alone. Meaning this person got reincarnated as a spider in the new RPG fantasy world they find themselves in.

And listen, I’m not here to judge. I love me some good old wish fulfillment “in another world” bs. That’s my tea&jam. My buttered biscuit. So I for one welcome our new Spider Overlords.

Making something during this Newvember art sprint is automatically uploaded on completion so I don't hold on to my work files for too long, this has already helped me in trying to finalize whatever i have at a quicker pace.
