Steve doesn't know what he did. One minute, they were laying on the couch together, watching a movie, and the next, Eddie is snatching his jacket and trying to storm out of Steve's house.

"Eddie, come on-"

"Don't 'Eddie, come on' me."

"I don't understand-"

"You're right. You don't," Eddie snaps.

"Then explain it to me," Steve snaps back. "Because I promise I'll get it if you do."

He watches Eddie's face, watches how he's probably just barely holding himself back from saying, no, you won't.

Instead, Eddie says, "You should get it already."

And that might just hurt worse.

"Get what?" Steve shouts, throwing his arms out. "What am I supposed to get that you won't tell me?"

"That you made a bad call!" Eddie says. "That you shouldn't have dragged me out of there! Because I know it and everyone else does, too, but you're the only one who doesn't, and you should get it!"

Steve doesn't have a chance to respond before Eddie throws himself out of the front door and slams it behind him.

He's too busy realizing that he said I love you out loud and didn't keep that stupid thought in his head where it belonged.

was listening to my love is hellfire (as always), and something about burning and destroyong everything around you due to your nature and accidentally killing someone you love because you can't help your nature reminded me of dark era dazai and oda (NOT ROMANTIC) a lot. especially considering that the iteration of oda who never befriended dazai is the one that survived. something about that's gotta sting!

Roxy Wolf and Cassie Route: Pirate's Cove

On the Roxy Route, Cassie doesn't go to the daycare for the security badge, instead scoping out Pirate's Cove.

The vents (per classic Cassie luck) give way beneath her to her seeming demise, only to find herself interrupting a midnight show.

random things:

Bangle switches which eye has the white cover depending on the lighting, as it affects how sensitive she is to light

At night the power will go out randomly at Pirate's cove due to it's vicinity to the Daycare (because the Daycare draws so much power with the excessive lighting; this is partially why Gator Golf is kept so dimly lit)

this is a big source of arguments between the Daycare Attendant (mostly Sun) and the Foxy Crew

in revenge, Bitty and Bangle take turns stripping the daycare ballpit of its fazballs whenever Foxy has to leave to reset the breakers (which is every hour on the dot)

Cassie is scraped up from just surviving the night (falling when running away, traveling through busted vents, etc)

the Foxy Crew are the animatronics she knows the least about
