After the HYDRA uprising, you had to flee; you couldn't finish your mission. Your plan had gone perfectly until they discovered the truth, and then you ran away. You didn't want to have the same fate as your companions; Rollins was in prison, Rumlow was dead...

You managed to find a place where no one suspected who you were. However, you always had all the precautions to avoid being found. No one could understand the reasons why you were practically forced to join HYDRA.

Maybe your only mistake has been that you fell in love with your target. Even though two years earlier, he found out the truth, he had sought you out, but there was simply no trace of you. You didn't leave a single clue. Maybe he expected to see you in prison or during the chaos.

The reality was that you left the place as soon as the riots started, went to what was once your home, and took your belongings with you. You always carried with you the last photo you and Steve had taken on the last date they had had.

You were sure he hated you. He probably wouldn't have believed you loved him, although many times you were tempted to ask him to run away with you. What you did regret was that you accepted that mission, and he probably believed you betrayed him.

You wanted to tell him the whole truth and tell him again for the last time that you loved him, but you knew that the safest thing was that he would not believe or forgive you, so it was best to walk away and try to forget him... Forget everything you did in the past.

Before entering the apartment, you checked the surroundings to make sure that no one had followed you. Everything seemed safe, so you proceeded to enter with the groceries you bought. When you closed the door, you realized that there was something different that was obviously not right. Now you had to find out who the person was who had found you.

You put one of your hands in the back pocket of your pants. You always carried one of your weapons with you, in case it was necessary.

"I never stopped looking for you; I knew I'd find you one day," Steve said, leaving the notebook he had grabbed on the coffee table in the living room.

"Rogers."

"Before you called my name, no," you said, "my love," Steve replied.

"How did you find me?" You did not get an answer to that question. Since you escaped from the Triskelion, you have been exaggeratedly careful to avoid this.

When you love someone, you always look for ways to reconnect with that person.

You did not take your eyes off him, but you did not neglect your surroundings. At any time, his team or the police would enter to arrest you, if you were sure. Even though since you fled, you have led a quiet life, it could well be said that somehow you resigned from HYDRA.

You hate me. "That's a lie." You hate me for having lied to you and betrayed you."

"No, that's a lie." Steve raised his voice, and you looked at him surprised. He never spoke to you like that.

You approached him with extreme care. You observed him in detail. He looked different. He looked lost and sore. He didn't even look like the man you met, but that didn't mean you shouldn't find out his intentions. Maybe he didn't want to arrest you, although he did want to arrest you, so it was best to be direct. You didn't have time for games.

"If you were to kill me, you could have done it already. So, what do you want from me?"

Steve saw you with a gesture of disbelief. Why would you believe that? He had already forgiven you a long time ago. He knew you and wanted to be with you. He was sure that the only thing you did not lie about was your feelings.

"Haven't you seen the news?" I'm a fugitive. I need you so I can escape, "he replied while still looking at you.

"The right and perfect Captain America asks a HYDRA agent for help," you scoffed.

"Accords affect you too," Steve said.

"No, I am not an active agent. I will not save the world."

But you are also a fugitive; otherwise, there would be no reason for you to be living in a place like this. Come on, Y/N, you are the only one who can help me.

"And now that you found me, I'll have to leave again. I'm sure this is a trap and you'll take me to prison," you said. You were still undecided about whether or not you could trust him.

"No, I won't," he said.

"I don't believe you."

"I still love you," he said, taking your hand in his.

"What? You must be kidding after what I did..."

"I'm not kidding. I know the reasons why you joined HYDRA, but I'm also sure your feelings are real. That's something you can't fake. Please, I need you," Steve pleaded with you. You went to the kitchen; he wasn't lying to you.

"Do you want tea? Because this is going to take some time. I want you to tell me everything that has happened," you said.

You started telling him what had happened since you ran away. You made an effort not to cry. You both loved each other, so you were going to help him.

You said, "Just let me keep some things that we will need. We will run away together; they will never find us." You nodded and smiled. He was glad to know that he could count on you. Ah, Steve, I love you too."

again, this info is all coming from the former accountant of the family:

Prince Rainier III was seriously considering changing succession laws so Caroline would be the head of the family and Monaco as he found Albert to be weak. Albert is said to be the "despised member of the clan" who would stutter while speaking to his father. Rainier even looked into what this would mean to the Grimaldi name since Andrea - at the time 17 - obviously carries his father's name (Casiraghi) and not his mother's (Grimaldi). Rainier told the ones carrying the investigation that this was done in case Albert died.

the funds from Albert's state endowment and his private funds would be mixed all the time.

Albert would say yes to essentially everything his family asked for, including a $30 million apartment for Stephanie

Palmero (the accountant) would frequently buy things for the family to keep "their privacy". He bought Charlene's engagement ring and multiple properties for the Grimaldi's in France. He would pay property taxes for those properties and have the family pay him back.

Caroline and Stephanie would frequently make use of and sell family property (Rainier's cars, family jewelry and art, etc) without letting him know, even though they technically belonged to Albert.

Caroline is in charge of the family's castle in Marchais, which he had an issue with as she would always go off budget.

he makes a note to pay attention to Pierre Casiraghi as he is very ambitious and his dealings in real estate could create problems (spoiler alert: it did)

the allowance that Charlene, Caroline and Stephanie receive increases constantly, which worried Palmero. As of late, they were: 1,5 million euros for Charlene, 900.000 for Caroline and 800.000 for Stephanie yearly. This follows the family hierarchy.

 Jazmin Grace receives 86,000 dollars per quarter. In February 2010, Palmero had to spend $5,000 “extra for her birthday”. Albert also bought her a $3 million apartment in New York City.

Albert spends almost a million a year funding Nicole Coste's (the mother of Albert's second illegimate child) fashion business. It's all in Alexandre Coste's name as Nicole fears that Charlene might create issues when Albert dies.

loots about Charlene. She frequently demands high sums in cash, her personal chef is $300 a day, she has multiple undocumented people from the Philippines working in her staff, the celebrations for the birth and baptism of the twins was well over half a million euros, in eight years Charlene spent around 15 million euros when she received 7.5 million euros in endowment (the Palace didn't deny this and said that the accountant was simply told to pay the difference with the family's personal funds), she spent 965,000 on a villa in two and a half months, her office decoration cost a million euros, she requested 3 x 300,000 for her brother's house.

Palmero made sure to change Monaco's regency laws so in case something happens to Albert while Jacques is underage Charlene won't be regent. Instead, the principality will be ruled by a regency council.

Albert has a secret apartment in Monaco, bought by one of Palmero's secret companies. He also got rid of problematic photographs of Albert (hinted at blackmail).

there was a whole system for hiding sums used on "special missions". They were labeled DS (for special destinations) and with time were used to pay for an informal intelligence unit that operated within the police force of the principality. They'd collect information on those close to the family and even on politians of the principality. He would also pay journalists to paint a good picture of Monaco while Hollande was president in France and was constantly criticizing tax-havens.

the DS accounts would be used to hide over-budget situations, including budget for the children's nannies and the budget for the wedding.

they were terrified of the Panama papers, as a lot of money laundering funds go through Monaco and the family had accounts on Panamanian banks.

a link between a Russian billionaire and the Monegasque Minister of Justice was revealed in 2017 and the Minister was forced to resign. An investigation was launched by a French judge and there was fears that the palace would be involved: jurisdictional immunity was granted to members of the sovereign family by order. There was rumours that the French judge wanted to hear the Prince as a witness......he was told to leave the principality. He was accused of having, through his “behavior perceived as authoritarian and vexatious”, “endangered the proper functioning of the criminal justice system”.

the real estate market is a big point of collision here and a big focus of article 3. Nothing too interesting to report - Palmero says he tried mingling in the market to break down the monopoly of real estate owners in Monaco (centered around a bestie of the Casiraghi brothers) while Albert claims Palmero had close ties with some of the developers and tried mingling with things that were of interest of the government in order to make money. The real estate issue was what eventually led Palmero to be fired. Palmero and a former laywer of Albert who was his childhood bestfriend and is also now a persona non grata claims that Albert is now fully under the influence of the bestie of the Casiraghi brothers who now controls the real estate in Monaco.

Palmaro is STILL paying property tax on properties he bought for the family!! crazy!!

Palmero detailed a number of off-shore accounts that hold about 250 million euros of the family's fortune including a company created specifically for Charlotte Casiraghi. He passed on the information from that account to Albert's new accountant at a monitored meeting.

Albert's explanation is lowkey....pathetic. He claims he told Palmero to move all of his family's assets from off-shore accounts to Monaco but Palmero never did it and that was that. He claims he was never able to obtain a precise statement on the family assets due to Palmero's secrecy and Albert just trusted him. He claims Palmero would act in his name and refuse to delay his decisions.

MOTHERLAND: FORT SALEM (2020–2022): Extremely frustrating bootlicking modern fantasy series, set in an alternate America in which witches with genuine supernatural powers are required by law to submit to military conscription upon their 18th birthdays. The show follows three new witch cadets, Tally Craven (Jessica Sutton), Abigail Bellweather (Ashley Nicole Williams), and Raelle Collar (Taylor Hickson), as they go through basic training to join a magical War on Terror against a ruthless terrorist organization called the Spree — of which Raelle's new girlfriend Scylla (Amalia Holm Bjelke) is secretly an agent.

Although the premise is truly cringeworthy, the first season offers some intriguing worldbuilding (including a novel treatment of the witches' magic, which is called "work" and based on sound) and paints a surprisingly dark picture of the witch army — so dark that it starts to seem like the original intent might have been closer to Paul Verhoeven's STARSHIP TROOPERS than a supernatural TOP GUN. Despite all its unsavory flag-waving, the Season One storyline touches on the dehumanizing effects of military training, the Army's use of torture, the grim consequences of refusing conscription, and even the negative environmental impact of military witches' "work"; the season's climax then has the witches' rather sinister commanding general (Lyne Renée) — a 300-year-old witch who survives by literally stealing the youth from volunteers and who is apparently plotting a military coup — ordering the green recruits to commit an atrocity that has significant civilian casualties.

The second season, however, immediately beats a cowardly retreat from any criticism or questioning of the Army or its leadership, shrugging off the disturbing events of the previous season (without actually undoing or contradicting anything that was previously shown, including the atrocity the protagonists committed!) and shifting focus to a stupid, unpleasantly grisly new conflict with an ancient secret society of witch-hunting bigots that threatens all witches. This conflict also occupies the the third season, which drifts yet further afield with some oddball revelations about the ultimate source of witch magic and culminates in a finale that somehow manages to elide all of the actual conflicts established in the show.

The first season has enough points of interest to suggest an opportunity missed, but the increasingly repugnant jingoism and the later seasons' obnoxiously woolly mysticism (even by the standards of a show about military witches) become harder and harder to tolerate even on a dopey nerd show level, and of the ostensible core cast, only Scylla gets anything approaching substantive characterization. CONTAINS LESBIANS? Yes, but you'll hate yourself in the morning. VERDICT: If you can stomach the basic premise (Mazel tov!), the first season (and only the first season) might be worth a look, but the rest goes from bad to worse.

Day 17 - Burgos

It was a rest day today in Burgos, and what a lovely place to spend it.

We got up slowly, in fact both of us woke at the usual 6 something then dropped off to sleep again, magic.

After several coffees we were messaged by Nicole who wanted to use our washing machine. We got her wash on a short cycle then went out for coffee and breakfast. We were back again to hang her washing out on a drying rack then Jane and I went exploring.

The first place was to find a Santander to get some more cash out. Many of the places (albergues and cafes) along the way only take cash so you carry at least 300 euros with you.

Then we found the river promenade and went through the old city gates to the cathedral.

Being ‘peregrinos’ we got into the cathedral half price. When you travel along you take a Pilgrim’s passport with you. It’s a folding paper document that you get stamped by places along the way to show you have been there. As we hadn’t yet had it stamped in Burgos we had it stamped at the cathedral.

The cathedral was absolutely magnificent, we must have been in there 2 hours and took loads of photos. They had an excellent audio guide which we used for each of the chapels. Over the years the place has been expanded upon and now is one of the finest gothic cathedrals and a UNESCO world heritage sight.

Exhausted by the visit we found a restaurant for a menu del dia which filled us up and made us sleepy.

On the way back to the flat for a siesta we found a cafe that we can leave our bags at tomorrow to be transported on. It’s quite a funky place so we may well have breakfast there before starting.

Our flat is on the 4th floor of an old building on a lively square, perfect for being in the centre of everything.

A couple of hours of relaxing followed and about half 5 we pottered out to a pharmacy so Jane could get more tape for her feet. She’s started getting a bit of heel pain, probably plantar fasciitis, so is taking all precautions and exercising to ease the pain. We then found a supermarket of sorts and got some food for lunch tomorrow and had a nosey around for a bit before meeting Nicole for a quick drink.

She picked up her now dry washing and we’re back at the flat packing up for tomorrow. It was my turn to try out the bath tonight, you need to be a bit of a contortionist to fit in!

After a lovely chilled day it’ll be an early night as we’ll be on the road early tomorrow. The weather is forecast to get up to 27, not as hot as further south, but still hot enough for us to want to get our walking done as early as possible.

Ex-Executives Face Justice in Multimillion-Dollar Cryptocurrency Scam: DOJ Verdict

Key Points

Shane Hampton and Michael Kane, former executives at Hydrogen Technology Corporation, have been sentenced to prison for crypto fraud.

They manipulated the market and fraudulently inflated the value of HYDRO, the company’s native crypto, earning about $2 million in profits.

Shane Hampton, a resident of Philadelphia, and Florida-based Michael Kane, both former high-ranking officials at Hydrogen Technology Corporation, have been handed prison sentences for their involvement in a multimillion-dollar crypto fraud scheme.

Hampton, 32, served as the head of financial engineering, while Kane, 39 and co-founder of the company, held the position of CEO until his arrest in 2022.

Market Manipulation Scheme

An announcement revealed that both Hampton and Kane were implicated in a market manipulation scheme that swindled investors out of millions of dollars. These investors had put their faith in the company’s vision and invested in HYDRO, the company’s native crypto.

From October 2018 to April 2019, the pair collaborated with South African crypto company Moonwalkers Trading Limited to manipulate the price of HYDRO on an unnamed US-registered crypto exchange. Using an automated trading bot, they flooded the market with fake orders and fraudulent trades to deceive investors and artificially inflate the value of HYDRO.

The duo and their co-conspirators carried out about $7 million in “wash trades” and placed over $300 million in “spoof trades” for HYDRO using the bot. These deceptive trades were designed to trick retail investors into buying HYDRO by artificially inflating its price.

They managed to make approximately $2 million in profits from selling HYDRO over a period of about 10 months. However, their fraudulent activities were eventually detected by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which sued the former executives for fraud in 2022.

Legal Proceedings and Verdict

Following the SEC’s lawsuits in September of 2022, Kane pleaded guilty in November 2023 to one count of conspiracy to commit securities price manipulation, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and two counts of wire fraud.

Before he pleaded guilty, Kane and his company were ordered by a New York court in April 2023 to pay $2.8 million in remedies and civil penalties.

Hampton, on the other hand, was convicted by a federal jury in February of the same year for one count of conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud in violation of the US federal law. During his trial, the jury unanimously agreed that the sales of HYDRO constituted investment contracts, thereby classifying the token as a security.

Historic Crypto Case

This case marked the first criminal jury trial where a cryptocurrency, in this case HYDRO, was classified as a security under American law.

Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole Argentieri stated that this was the first instance in which a federal criminal trial jury found a cryptocurrency to be a security and that manipulating cryptocurrency prices was securities fraud.

She also emphasized that the sentencing of both Kane and Hampton should serve as a deterrent to other potential wrongdoers in the crypto economy. She further added that law enforcement will persist in its efforts to protect consumers and will not rest until all culprits are brought to justice.

ELECTED A SECOND TERM! Tonight, the membership has officially elected me to a second term as President of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists. At 31 years old, I’m the youngest president in the organization’s nearly 50-year history to be elected a second consecutive term – third overall following Al Hunter Jr. and my mentor Sarah J. Glover! Leadership is an ever-evolving experience. So much of the work is juggling nonstop tasks, managing expectations, and navigating through various egos along the way. Serving on the PABJ Executive Board for the past four years has been one of the most rewarding opportunities of my career and I’m glad that our membership entrusted me to represent them again. Our organization is one of the best to ever do it and we continue to represent the finest in Black media professionals across the region. In my first term, I made promises that were kept. I steered a robust agenda that bolstered our fundraising and outreach capabilities, restructured our general operations, modernized our procedures, enhanced our programming, and improved our communications. PABJ is a nonprofit that’s fiscally astute, fiduciary responsible, commercially competitive, and socially appealing. Promise made. Promises kept. All of this work wasn’t done alone. I’m proud to serve alongside an incredible leadership team that includes my VP of Broadcast, VP of Print, Treasurer, Secretary, Parliamentarian, Immediate Past President, Associate Membership Chair, Awards Chair, and Exec Staffer. I’m grateful for our sponsors, partners, committee members and lifetime members who’ve volunteered and invested in our organization in these efforts. Special thanks to Nicole Cashman, Lenfest Institute for Journalism, William Penn Foundation, PhillyCAM, AAJA, Nahj Philly, Free Press Action, Center for Cooperative Media, and J.A.W.N. for supporting us immensely during my first term. my workout tips, routines and habits! (second part & very much improved)

hi loves <3 how are y'all doing? it's been a while since my last post (around 6 months), but it is primarily because i've been focusing in myself as much as possible. i changed my intimate circle, my eating habits and, as the title shows, my exercise routines. i'll be sharing everything in this post!!

routine: i still do a lot of indoor cycling, around 2-3 per week. normally i burn 500 cal, which takes me around an hour.

i do youtube workouts, mostly yoga and pilates related (i do one simple workout + indoor cycling or two simple workouts):

advices: stretch always! your muscles will thank you endlessly for this, plus it really helps with toning and definition.

focus in your breathing. around 80% of our body fat is exhaled, so is crucial for you to breath slowly and focused.

hydration!!!! please please please drink water before, during and after your workouts, this will help with your breathing, your digestion and your body in general.

might sound silly but search for the right motivation online, go make those fitness pinterest moodboards (+ follow me theanchorsong) and get the right inspiration!

if possible, accompany your workout habits with a healthy and balanced diet (i'll make a special post about this). try to cut most processed foods and sodas and artificial juices!

follow these routines at your way, intensity and time, remember that consistency is the key
