With the anime having ended, I'm so bummed the Sacrificial Princess manga really isn't more popular because this is such a fantastic shoujo!

Even though its been months since I've read it, I still think about the themes in this series and how impactful of a read it was!

   It’s real Good news that the manga  Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts (贄姫と獣の王, Niehime to Kemono no Ō) by  Yū Tomofuji gets anime adaptation:)

So let’s see what’s its synopsis:

The King of the Beasts and Demons regularly receives female human sacrifices to eat in order to assert the dominance of his people over the human race. However, for the 99th sacrifice, the human girl brought to the capital, Sariphi, intrigues the Beast King. In fact she isn't afraid of him or any other beast and even accepts her death without begging or crying as she has neither home nor family to return to if she were released. The King finds her intriguing and let her stay at his side as his consort despite being human. This is the story of how Sariphi will become the queen of the demons and beasts.

  The anime is produced by  J.C.Staff,under director Chiaki Kon is set to premiere on April 20, 2023, on Tokyo MX and BS11

Sacrificial Princess and the King of the Beasts Gets TV Anime Adaptation

  Some quick news for fans of fantasy romance with a "beauty and the beast" style twist: Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts (known in Japan as Niehime to Kemono no Ō), a shojo manga by Yu Tomofuji about a young woman who is offered up as a sacrifice to a monstrous king only to discover that appearances can be deceiving, is being adapted into a TV anime.

  So far, no further details about the production (such as the cast, the staff, and the release date) have yet been revealed, although an illustration celebrating the announcement (above) with artwork by Yu Tomofuji has been published. An official Twitter feed for the anime series (@niehime_anime) has also been created.

    The original Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts manga was serialized from November 2015 - December 2020 in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume shojo manga magazine, and an English language adaptation is also available from Yen Press, who describe the story of the series as follows:

  A young girl has resigned herself to being he next sacrificial meal for the Beast King...but the king is no mere monster! Love is more than skin-deep in this gorgeous fantasy manga.

Has the Yona fan community suddenly died? I didn't hear about this until I got my copy of the new Za Hana to Yume in the mail today. Apparently there will be extra chapters of Akatsuki no Yona, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Niehime to Kemono no Ō and Koretto wa Shinu Koto ni Shita in Za Hana to Yume on 25 April. This is according to an ad on the inside back cover of the new issue and another ad with partially different information on page 48 (just before 蒼竜の側用人).

I wasn’t around to reblog it but sorasan and umu1234 posted about it here. I believe the new AnY extra will be like the previous ones from The Hana: broad and simple enough that new readers won’t need to read the rest of the series to enjoy it.
