Just a reminder that the first Collector's Edition Marmalade Boy manga volume from Seven Seas Entertainment hits shelves on Valentine's Day -- check it out on their official site.

The entire series will be released with a new English-language translation and in 5 total volumes, reflecting the 2008 bunkobon Japanese reprint. Volume 2 will hit shelves in May, so you've got a good space between volumes to save up for the next one!

Never read the series? It's definitely worth checking out if you're keen on straight-up romantic drama and hijinks from the 90s courtesy of a a great shoujo talent, Yoshizumi Wataru. The official blurb from Seven Seas sums things up well.

Miki’s life was pretty ordinary until the day her parents told her they were swapping spouses with another couple! Thanks to this unconventional arrangement, Miki now has two new stepparents and a hot new stepbrother, Yuu! Miki isn’t exactly thrilled with her new situation, and though Yuu is super cute, he’s also kind of a jerk. Can Miki sort out her complicated feelings for him and come to terms with her new family?

Discotek Media also have released the entire 76-episode anime tv series on SD blu-ray disc for a very reasonable price if you're interested in checking out this adaptation as well (it's even on sale at Right Stuf right now). Imho the transfer is pretty meh but YMMV.

Another classic for rusted-on shoujo fans to enjoy all over again with a fresh English release and a fun starting point for those wanting to check out a relationship-focused Ribon title from the 90s. 2023 really is turning out to be an amazing year for English-speaking fans of older content in the genre!

changing my stanley parable hazbin hotel idea a little bit since someone made a very good point but-

alastor as stanley, lucifer as the narrator, and lilith as the curator.

alastor would never listen to lucifer, because he just doesn’t like being told what to do, but he would also know of lilith (as the curator) while lucifer (as the narrator) is oblivious to her presence. lucifer as the narrator because he loves to create, to make and give others happiness through those creations, but has been beaten down by the world and lost that artistic luster. lilith as the curator because the museum ending of the stanley parable (where we see her) is sequestered away in an area that the narrator (lucifer, in this case) can’t access. it would be a replica of their separation in hazbin hotel canon.

other characters can pop in occasionally, found in different sections of the endings and through escape (or the true ending) but it would mostly just be these three characters- i think it would make a really fun one-shot.

you know me, i'm incredibly klapollopilled, of course i'm drawing these two suckers for the wedding zine! <3 something about klapollo marriage makes me incredibly emo so i'm very glad for the opportunity to go all out so i can be EXTRA emo about it 😈

if i remember right, i think this idea came to be when i thought about the image of klavier bursting into tears as he lifts up apollo's veil and it all went from there LOL (also so psyched i get to draw him in a barong tagalog <333)

everything got so much more ambitious, though, from that initial idea! i drew like what (i am counting the number of characters in the spread right now as i type) 40-ISH CHARACTERS ALL IN ALL?! (WHAT THE FUCKDFGDHJ) and i even had to cut out some of the characters i originally had in the sketch 😭 (sorry gumshoe, kay, and seb/eustace ....)

i drew this like a year ago and i'm still so proud of this piece! i don't think i can achieve this level of rendering again, it's been so long i forgot how to do it LMAO

(also i can never reopen the file for this thing again bc it makes clip studio want to dieeeee DFSGHDJ so many layers ...)

another thing, i was working on this in tandem with my piece for the mea culpa zine; do you know how funny it is to draw apollo having such a happy moment and then draw him dying 😭 the contrast, the whiplash
