Ninjago Skybound AU idea!

During this time away, I've been marathoning a bunch of fics and thinking "damn, I might as well create an AU". Let's get to the main point: Canary!Jay In short: In Jay's second wish, instead of him simply wishing that Nadakhan would go away he wishes: I wish you would leave here and I wish I could be free as a bird to fly far away, so you wouldn't bother me anymore!" In general, what happened in the original happens, but as time passes, Jay notices feathers appearing, desires to chirp and other things that birds would do.

Basic Informations

1. Jay will turn into an avian, his species will be this type of canary, a "canário da terra" ( Sorry, but I really love make references to my country)

2.The transformation is not fast, it is slow.

3. It takes a week for the transformation to be complete, it is painful, little by little you surrender to instincts and behaviors that are not yours.

4.I think we could continue with the classic things that happened to Jay on board the Misfortune s keep, the classic scrap 'n tap, being forced to clean the entire ship and the psychological pressure. But how about we add something heavier? Skybound itself is one of the heaviest seasons of Ninjago, and if we turned it into something rated +16, we could only imagine what happened there. I think that Jay there could also go through dehumanization, he would have his wings cut and in a very bad way, the cutting of his feathers would be horrible, all messed up. He would also be trapped in a cage, instead of the usual cell in the canon, the foods provided are bread crumbs, seeds, mealworm larvae and dirty water.

5.Other methods Nadakhan would use to try to make Jay break would be beyond dehumanization: Forcing Jay to sing for him and in front of other pirates. Do you know those bars with music? Well, Nadakhan would have Jay sing in front of everyone wearing clothes similar to belly dancing, only a little more masculine. He would also wear a kind of pearly veil. 6.In terms of behavior, Jay would sleep earlier and wake up before sunrise, singing and chirping. He also starts to clean his wings, make some chirps out of nowhere and every time he feels himself falling from a high height he flaps his wings wildly to try to fly.

Transformation: Day 1: the wish is made, a few hours later there is a sensation of bearable pain in the back, coccyx and back of the ankle. There is also an itch in the hair, cheeks, back, shoulders and collarbone area. Day 2: The hair becomes a little longer, its roots take on a lemon yellow - orange tone, small feathers appear on the back of the back. Day 3: The host of the desire begins to act strange, is feeling sleepy much earlier than usual, around sunset and wakes up shortly before sunrise in a very excited and energetic manner. A strange sensation begins to appear in the throat region, creating the desire to chirp and sing. Sometimes the host accidentally starts chirping and singing, even at times when it shouldn't. Day 4: The pain intensifies further, small feathers appear on the cheek, collarbone, shoulders and region. The hair reaches halfway down the neck, the colors at the roots are stronger and more noticeable. The host begins to become more anxious and alert, as if it were prey, it also gets scared more easily, often jumping into the air as if trying to fly away, claustrophobia begins to appear, the chirps become more intense. Day 5: Reliefs begin to appear on the scapula, coccyx and back of the ankle, and along with feathers in this region, they also seem to move according to emotions. Vision and hearing noticeably improve. Body language becomes more animalistic, specifically resembling that of a bird. If the host has a crush on someone, he may sing to try to win over his partner. The canines become soft quickly and soon they fall out. Day 6: The new canines finally grow, they are bigger and sharper. The reliefs on the back become a kind of small arm with feathers, the one on the coccyx and ankle area become a kind of small tail with feathers as well. Every hour these new members grow, it becomes more difficult to disguise them over clothes. Day 7: The wings and new limbs are at the end of their growth, it is impossible to hide the new limbs even when wearing them over clothes, the clothes are uncomfortable, a few hours later the new limbs will tear the clothes off so they can finally be "free" . There are also flight attempts.

Changes in the:

Comportament: Frequent chirping and bird calls, Sleeping easily in warm and fuzzy areas (Jay is a teen in the AU and babies birbies sleep in warm and comfortable places, like in your hand), waking up VERY early and feeling very sleepy at sunset sun, altered biological clock, jumping from one side to the other, cleaning the feathers, stealing small objects and fuzzy objects and turning them into nests and body expression more similar to that of a bird, attempts to fly when scared, ruffling the feathers to appear larger when threatened, wings protecting the body when frightened

Psychological: Mild paranoia (prey instincts always alert), anxiety

Physical: emergence of new limbs, such as a pair of wings on the scapula, a tail on the coccyx and a type of altered tail in the rear region (do you know the wings on the boot of the god Hermes? something similar, but they are on the back of the ankle, which can fit on long flights ensuring more sustainability in the legs), feathers on the cheek and regions close to the new limbs, longer and thicker hair, hair roots taking on a lemon yellow and orange tone. More sensitive eyes and ears, new and sharp canines, stronger and sharper nails like claws, lighter bones.

I intend to do concept drawings for AU, I don't have my graphics tablet for now. Anyone interested in helping and giving ideas for the AU and perhaps adopting it and creating a fic on AO3 with long chapters, good writing, angst and those necessary things just comment or reblog! Just finished reading Chapter 5 of If I Can Think (Of Something Clever) and I think my brain chemistry has been altered. I also have a strong desire to get back into chess and find some competent animators and VAs. For no particular reason

Danny phantom promt

Danny's body is slowly dying, and it beginning to show. How? His limbs are falling off

There was something off about Danny. His hands were cold, his movements were stiff as a board or as smooth as a dancer. He was as pale as death himself and maybe even as scary.

It was not long, at most a few months when Danny had started to notice these things. He had brushed them aside, "it's just poor circulation", "I should just eat more", "I just need some more time in the sun" he said. But as the months passed it was becoming harder to ignore.

His classmates could see it, Mr Lancer could see it, heck Dash could tell something was seriously wrong with Daniel Fenton. And that if they didn't act soon....they didn't want to think of the consequences.

Danny could absolutely no longer ignore the signs. His body was slowly deteriorating, dying. And ho did he know for certain?

Well maybe it waS HIS LEFT ARM JUST LAYING ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO HIM. He hadn't even noticed until he heard a scream followed by thump on the floor. That was tucker. And Sam just stood there with disgust aand horror mixed on her face

And in the sheer stupidity of panicking and freaking out, Danny long with Sam picked up his arm and put it back in its place like a Lego peice.

"Jay?" Zane knocked on his boyfriend's door. But with no response, he decided to open the door. "Jay?" Zane asked, and he spotted a lump in Jay's bed, under his blanket.

"Jay?"

"Go away." The lump whined, shuffling under the covers.

"I have lunch," Zane said, putting the bowl of soup on his bedside table, and he noticed a head start to peak out. Tongue flicking in the direction of the soup. Zane picked up the corner of the blankets, lifting it to reveal Jay's scaly face, and immediately Jay backed away. Diving under the covers.

"Go away!" He cried.

"Jay, please," Zane asked, pulling the blanket off the bed, revealing Jay curled up on the bed, his tail wrapped around him, shielding him from the outside world. "You can't hide forever, love." He said, sitting next to his boyfriend.

"I can try," he muttered, muffled by the position was in.

Zane frowned in worry, trying to comfort his boyfriend, and began to rub his back. But jerked back as Jay began to hiss at the contact.

"Sorry! Sorry, sorry, sorry!" Jay cried. He curled in on himself even tighter, so tightly he began to shake. "I can't- I'm sorry! I just- I don't-"

"It's ok, it's ok." Zane tried to comfort him, but he got off the bed to give him space. Kneeling on the floor in front of Jay. "I understand. That you have to adjust, but I'm here for you. You're not going to scare me away." Zane smiled as Jay peaked above his tail at him. Worry etched into his face.

"I don't want to hurt you." He whispered his eyes on the big bandage on Zane's shoulder.

"I know you didn't mean to-

"I bit you." Jay interrupted guilt washing over him. "I hurt you."

Zane frowned, "Jay-

"I'm a monster."

"You didn't mean to-

"IT DOESN'T MATTER!" Jay cried, tears falling. "I hurt you! I bit you! I hurt you! I didn't even recognize you! You can't trust me! I can't trust me!"

"Jay, look at me." Zane said, and Jay looked at him, "I understand that a lot has changed, and you're still figuring this out. It's new, it's scary, and it's uncomfortable. But you're still Jay," Zane said, gently touching his boyfriend's face, wiping away his tears. "I still love you, and I still trust you. And I'm here for you." Zane finished, cupping Jay's head in his hands. "I love you."

Jay gave a hiccup as his lip trembled, beginning to cry. Tears slid down his face as he unwound himself. Hesitantly reached his hands towards Zane, which Zane immediately accepted. Pulling Jay gently into his lap on the floor, hugging him. Jay buried his face into Zane's chest as he cried and shook. Zane could hear him muttering something, but it was undecipherable between his sobs. Zane just hugged him a little tighter.

"Thank you." Jay whispered, "I love you too."

So up front!! This is not intended as a call to dogpile, harass, or bully op. I just wanted to make an awareness post, because I saw people on my dash reblogging their works who didn't seem to be aware that the art was stolen. Just block and/or don’t interact with them and move on with your life, yk?

Anyway @sophia336 posted a fic called Earthbound last night (link). A cool premise where Cole merges with the earth in MotM, right? The only problem here is that they also posted artwork along with it, artwork which, by the watermark at the bottom left, seems to belong to a Mr. Essy.

Okay, I thought. So maybe they have two usernames for art, for personal use, etc. but going to their blog revealed no more art with that watermark on it.

So I searched it up in a couple of minutes and found the original artwork as, indeed, belonging to Mr. Essy over on instagram. (Link)

Okay. So the art belongs to Mr. Essy. Maybe they got permission to post it, even there was no mention of “The art isn’t mine, art belongs to Mr. Essy, etc” on the post.

But here it is again, and with a different artist.

Okay. So they’ve reposted art without credit or seemingly permission. Maybe they don’t know any better.

I found this post, though, on their blog from May of 2022 that suggests they have been made aware that this behavior is harmful.

For the third time, it took me two minutes of googling to find these artists I'd not heard of before. In the aforementioned May 2022 post, sophia336 wrote "All art isn't mine" in the description. In their ninjago posts, it seems that they never make a claim either way.

Tl;Dr: Sophia336 reposts art with their (as far as I can tell and have no reason to doubt) original fanfics. They are aware that this behavior is harmful and not what should be done.

And I get where they're coming from! Honestly I do! As a fellow fanfic writer, it can be really disheartening to see artwork getting more love than fanfic, even when the same amount of effort went into both. From what I read of their fics, they've got really great writing skill. I just wish they didn't feel the need to use stolen art to get views.

Ninjago Oc Secret Summer 2024!

What is a Secret Summer? - It's basically a Secret Santa (A secret gift giving event) but in Summertime/Not-December instead! - For this event, you'll be secretly assigned someone to draw/write a gift for based around their oc(s) - It's very important that no one knows that you are making them a gift and vice versa, that you don't know who is making you a gift!

Are there any rules?

- Absolutely no N/S/F/W or Suggestive content is permitted for prompts, gifts, or references. This is /not/ an 18+ event.

- No direct contact with the person you're making a gift for; you can communicate through me or someone helping run the event, or ask through anon on tumblr if you can.

- No AI art/writing, Gacha edits, face claims, picrews, or bases will be permitted for oc reference submissions or gifts.

- Oc x Canon and Oc x Oc ships are 100% allowed.

- Fankids, sonas, and self inserts are also allowed; my only rule is that fankids of Lloyd x Canon ships are not permitted.

- Please respect requests regarding holiday or seasonal preferences when making a gift. Don't depict an oc participating in a holiday or seasonal activity that the creator asked not be depicted. - For the art portion, you must draw the character(s) you were assigned and they must be visible (feel free to ask for clarification).

How many ocs can be submitted total? - Three ocs can be submitted but only one is required.

What will I need for sign ups? - Refs or art that show a clear, colored depiction of your oc - OR at least two pieces of writing for said oc (does not need to be a whole fic. Could easily just be a quick blurb showing how they're written as a character) - Basic Information/Fun Facts about your character. This can be background information, relationships, likes/dislikes, age and height, personality, etc. - Suggestions or prompts for your gift giver. Stuff to help get their brain going. - Your blog name (not the name you go by but the url name. Like @/Ninjago-Oc-Appreciation, for example. Make sure it's a tumblr url, and not from any other social media).

What's the General Timeline for this event? - Sign ups will be rolling out April 14th and will remain open until the 21st. Requests can be made for small extensions if needed. - Assignments will be made sometime after the sign up forms close; posting week will begin late June (exact date to be announced with sign ups) - There will be exactly one week designated as a late period at the start of July.

How do I sign up? - In April, I'll post a google document where you can submit your ocs! There will be one for writing and one for art! - Please reach out to me after signing up in some way. This can be through messages, asks, comments, etc. In the past we've had issues with the forms, where they'd "eat' a submission, and I'd like to know when to check to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Hi everyone! To kick off our seasonal Morro events, our first one will be the spring collab event!

This year our theme is flowers/flower language.

Here's how it works: Sign-ups for a flower will occur in April (though this is not a deadline and you may continue to sign up for flowers in May).

Please note: you do NOT have to sign-up in order to participate in this event but it does help provide us a way to see who is doing what and help participants find others to collab with!

Participants will then create a work (or multiple if they wish!) that fits the theme/flower they chose and this will be posted any time from May 19-31. Anything goes--fics, art, gifs, cosplay, etc. As this is a "collab" event, we do encourage participants to collab with others and try their hand at any flowers that have not been claimed yet! You're also more than welcome to do multiple flowers/works!

For posting, simply post on tumblr any time from May 19 to 31 and tag this blog and we will reblog it here!

Rules:

No hate (racism, transphobia, homophobia, Islamophobia, etc) will be allowed, except in the context of exploring those themes.

OCs, AUs, and other non-canon content will be allowed.
