Little worldbuilding notes

• Currency is the Shell, though real shells fell out of fashion centuries ago. Now they’re made of bronze and silver in the shape of a shell. One silver is worth 10 bronze shells.

• Horses have gone extinct only fifty years ago. Now, transportation is done by giant moa, though domestication is a long process that has yet to wield fruitful results.

• Dragons have been extinct for over a century, as have the people that worshipped them. The evolutionary cousins of dragons, Pterodraconids, are still around.

• Milk is harvested mainly from goats, as aurochs have not been domesticated. Instead, wild cows are seen as spiritual wanderers, and are revered.

• Getting a cat to follow you is a sign of good luck. They are fairly tame, but still wild animals. Having one choose to stay in your home is seen as a blessing.

• Clovers are associated with birth, and weaving them into the hair of those that have just given birth is traditional in elven culture.

• Magic exists, though it is not entirely understood. Practice of it is very limited.

• There are many villages and hamlets that dot the land, though the continental map does not usually mark them. It is customary for each city-state to have local maps that supply their locations. Each town has at least one Lorekeeper.

Splatoon Shoe Trivia

I think ppl already know most of this already, but its been a while since these came out n i find it really neat so im bringing it up again

here's the super cute squidmas art of OTH and the Squisters, big fan big fan.

Now here's the thing: all those shoes are real shoes in game, but none of the rest of their gear is. Not in Splatoon 2, or even 3 as far as I can tell, but all the shoes? You can wear those in 2!

Now first things first.

Marie is wearing the Trooper Power Stripes.

These were part of the distrubution gear for springfest, alongside 7 other sets of shoes. Shoes designed by Pearl and Marina!! This is one of Marina's shoes, and it was made for Springfest, and Marie is wearing it in this Winter Promo art!!!!!

All the other shoes are real shoes too, the Black Seahorses, Punk Blacks, and White Laceless Dakroniks, for Callie, Pearl, and Marina respectively.

Now there's already a lot to be said here about the fact that for some reason only Marie is wearing springfest exclusive gear (in the winter art!!!), but that's not even all.

Because OTH and the Squid Sister ALSO wear real gear in the art for the Hero v Villian (smash) fest! And unlike the Squidmas art, as of now, Inkipedia notes which pieces of gear are being worn here! thanks inkipedia mods!!!

The squisters appear to both be wearing generic white tee shirts (cuttlefish ingame gear), but Pearl's wearing the Black Hoodie. Marina's jersey, while having the squidforce logo, doesn't appear to be any real jersey a player can wear.

But the shoes!!!! Marina is now wearing shoes that are very similar to the seasme salt 270's, but slightly different (mainly in them being black where the 270's r white). ((thank you inkipedia i wouldn't have caught that one alone)), and Marie is wearing the Black and Blue Squidkids V!

As the name suggests, this is my Cyberpunk 2077 blog. I used to do a lot of virtual photography in that one - and yes, this time I mean real VP, though still no paid tools, just vanilla and free mods. I love Goro Takemura and ship my fem V with him heavily - wrote a dope fanfiction about them, too. I reblog other cp77 vp (especially of Goro) and fanart. Bits of trivia: I'm Czech, cis woman (bi & poly and, frankly, hyper), 32, in a relationship, mom to a 5yo boy, a writer struggling to finish and publish her first original novel, drowning her sorrows in fanfic instead :). I got to most of my fandoms quite late in life, because where I live this info only started to properly flow in with the coming of the internet. I'm usually a casual fan, though when I hit a gold vein I can get a bit obsessed. I love writing fanfiction, which is mostly why I'm here on this site. I self-insert a lot (therapy writing) and usually ship us, with the rare occasion of finding a couple where I can identify with one of them (or mold them to my image because I like or even fancy them). I've spent my life believing I was hetero and discovered I'm not only once I (finally) was in a hetero relationship and had a kid, so... my ships are also hetero. It's a habit, not hating, I don't discredit any gay ships (maybe quietly to myself when they don't make any sense to me character-wise, lol). My AO3 account: XindiChick I usually try to write even the most niche of my ships in a way that doesn't require much knowledge of the original, so you're welcome to browse and read to your heart's content if you happen to like my style. I welcome any interactions, especially comments, because I don't get many.

Given my general lack of posting OC work here up until recently, I know I’ve never shown off Mal’s human form, so here it be! If you need a reminder, Mal is the big gal with horns and wings in this post :> You’ll also see Kaela’s updated and current design there too; piece is before I gave her a haircut and some alterations to her design. owo

For general context: Mal is a Spirit and she’s basically ended up as Kaela’s roommate and work partner on her humble lil farm out in the country. Why Mal is even in the human realm is a mystery, but she’s on a mission no one is fully aware of. o3o

 If you don’t mind a bit of lore trivia:

Mal is very fascinated with all types of gaming; there isn't such a thing in her own realm so it's an entirely new and exciting experience for her. She in particular really enjoys horror games and survival RPGs, and anything that promotes a challenge. Horror games don't scare her but she remains invested all the same. She does have an ulterior motive for playing them though, and that's partly because Kaela does the jumping and fearing and hiding for her. Quite frankly, Mal thinks it's both endearing and funny. uwu

Samurai Rabbit trivia refs (+ name reminder)

just short post to say: Usagi is meant as his given name.

We don't know the lore or backstory for why Yuichi was picked as a surname

update from 6.01.2024: Candie Langdale, one of the showrunners for SR, confirmed that it is indeed Yuichi Usagi [surname][given name] and that they asked about Yuichi as a surname from both their japanese consultant and Stan.

the backstory is that they wanted to name him Usagi, but wanted to differentiate him from Miyamoto Usagi as well. They also wanted to honor the guy working at the karaoke bar they had been frequenting the past 12 years. Yuichi was considered based on these as a surname.

the show follows the same naming conventions as the comic, so [surname][given name] as in real-world japan, Gen introduces himself as Murakami Gennosuke in ep 4.

However, it mostly drops honorifics in the EN language original (but the honorifics are back for some characters in the JP dub)

You can use/do whatever you want in your own fanfic/versions but it's just good to know where the show is coming from

You can also use them in the same way as Stan and the show's crew do - Usagi when it's just about him, Yuichi when they also bring Miyamoto Usagi into the convo, or "our Usagi"/Yuichi and "Stan's Usagi/Miyamoto when talking about them both.

Whether Yuichi is meant as a namesake, a title, or just a very rare surname, the show itself has all the younger/ally characters call each other by first name, while older/enemy characters get called by their title+surname (w/ the exception of Lady Fuwa and Chizu, bc of the story arc there)

his own aunt calls him Usagi

both names are probably meant to be used in general, but in-world, everyone who becomes friends with him starts calling him Usagi, which is the name he prefers to introduce himself (see episode 1)

I have a suspicion that maybe that's what the name was for, like a consideration for the old fans and new viewers. Maybe it was intentional because the showrunners were aware how naming is tricky for this franchise (re: that 1987 TMNT re-named Miyamoto Usagi "Usagi Yojimbo" and most 87 fans still know him as that? the showrunners are old enough to have been in that audience) so maybe they intentionally looked for something that would sound good as both surname and given name (just another thought)

Anyway, since there's still confusion by fans abt it, here's some good general sources also just for those interested in learning more random trivia abt the show. But these are the sources I've used to refute for myself what older posts/tags claim: that there was no research and no respect in the show for Stan's original work or for Japanese culture. From these it seems like the opposite is true.

"Samurai Rabbit Facts" - this is a "# facts" video but provides a lot of interesting trivia from both the show and crew, as well as about Stan's involvement in the show. Fun stuff in general, like how Usagi's sandal features Stan's signature as a fun easter egg to characters they wanted to include but didn't have time to.

The Comicbook Couples Councelling podcast with Stan and Samurai Rabbit crew (youtube vers) - This interview features Stan and art director Khang Le talking about the characters and the art, while showrunners Candie and Doug Langdale answer burning questions about the storylines and writing the show as well as learning new things during pre-production and research. Both sides talk a bit about the challenges of adapting something as prolific as Usagi Yojimbo for a younger audience.

The 2021 SDCC @Home panel with Stan, crew and cast - LOTS of fun visuals and very informative on how the crew worked on the show when the first COVID lockdown happened.

The POPverse interview with Stan Sakai - This is a great interview about many of these same things in the other interviews, if you prefer reading rather than listening to interviews.

I have my old post abt Usagi's names and the connection to Senso (one of the main inspirations for the series) and i'm writing a new one, but I thought this shorter post might be useful. Plus, while writing longer essay-like things can be fun for me personally, the ultimate goal there is to provide some food-for-thought for other fans while being informative abt the show itself. REVIEWING THE CHARTS: 24/02/2024 (Dua Lipa, Djo, Calvin Harris/Rag'n'Bone Man)

Guess we know who’s winning the Civil War - Beyoncé’s “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” usurps Vermont on the throne of the UK Singles Chart. Welcome back to REVIEWING THE CHARTS!

Rundown

It’s kind of calming to have a week where outside of some new entries, of which there are only a handful to begin with. So, as always, we start with the notable dropouts, which are songs exiting the UK Top 75 (what I cover) after five weeks in the region or a peak in the top 40. This week, we bid adieu to a small selection of songs but some of which are pretty important. Sure, I guess we can say good riddance to “MY EYES” by Travis Scott (featuring uncredited vocals from Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Sampha) and “Body Moving”  by Eliza Rose and Calvin Harris without much fret, but we also see dropouts from the Barbie soundtrack with both “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and “Dance the Night” by Dua Lipa leaving, as well as Sam Fender’s “Seventeen Going Under” making yet another exit though I’m sure it’ll be back soon enough.

There isn’t much to speak of in our gains, either. The biggest story is probably our list of returns, since the new documentary, Bob Marley: One Love has people rediscovering the reggae legend’s catalogue. His greatest hits album is at #6 on the albums chart and two of his songs with the Wailers return to the top 75. Both songs peaked in 1980, with “Could You be Loved”, now at #51, peaking at #5 whilst Odyssey’s “Use it Up and Wear it Out” was #1 and “Three Little Birds”, now at #56, only peaking at #17, whilst “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” by The Police was #1. Marley would pass just one year after, of course, and it is pretty poetic to have his grandson in the top 10 right now, but just so this episode has some cool chart history trivia, how about we go through the several times these songs have charted? Different recordings of the two songs released in 1984 and 1985 peaked at #71 and #76 respectively. Joe Cocker’s cover of “Could You be Loved” peaked at #86 in 1997, and as far as I can find, no other covers of either song have charted, which kind of surprises me. After all, the latter was recently covered by Maroon 5, I figured they’d hitch a chart spot on name recognition but nope, not even a child singer Connie Talbot could do it in the talent show boom in the 2000s, so I guess Marley’s original really can’t be replaced.

As for the rest of our gains and returns, “Thank You (Not So Bad)” by way too many people who should know better is back at #73 and “Coal” by Dylan Gossett returns to #61. The gains include last week’s debuts, “Made for Me” by Muni Long and “Birds in the Sky” by NewEra at #48 and #44 respectively, “Lil Boo Thang” by the GOAT Paul Russell at #35 and, despite what the Official Charts Company would want you to believe, “Grey” by Yung Filly is at #33. There was an Aitch remix.

This week’s top 5 is actually pretty notable in terms of some shifting tides. We begin with ACR - search it up - striking Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” down to #5, and then one of a few big debuts with Dua Lipa at #4 with “Training Season”, followed by gains for some white dudes making big moves: “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims at #3 and “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone at #2, and finally, of course Queen Bey at the top. Now, we don’t have that wide of an array of new entries, or really, many at all, of which I’m pretty grateful for, so let’s zip through them.

New Entries

#66 - “Soaked” - Shy Smith

Alright, I’ll bite… who the Hell is Shy Smith and why did they go with that… uncomfortable cover art? Well, this song is actually from 2021, and I assume through TikTok has gone viral, but this isn’t some indie artist as we typically see, this is a Canadian social media star, which makes this song seem a bit more like a joke. That’s a relief since despite being three years old, it sounds like Ciara made this in 2006 with the glassy synths, blocky Timbaland-esque production and squarrelling synth buzz, that is much more “in” now than it ever has been. Part of me understands completely therefore why this is charting now… but then another part of me doesn’t understand why this is charting at all. There’s really nothing to the stifled groove of the beat and it sounds like it actively strains Shy Smith to try having a personality. It’s so clearly going for semi-goofy seduction, but clawing actual intimacy out of this is as hard a job for me as it would have been for the vocal engineers, so I’m really not understanding this one.

#53 - “Whatever She Wants” - Bryson Tiller

I always forget Bryson Tiller exists until he shows back up again, and I mean no offence by that as nothing has given me the impression that he’s not talented or a good person, but not a single song has clicked with me, despite having a lot of respect for his mostly singular lane and pioneering of the trap-soul sound. I can think of people who perhaps want to be Bryson Tiller, but I can’t figure out who Bryson Tiller wants to be other than, well, Bryson Tiller, and even if the music doesn’t resonate, I’m happy with that. Problem here is that he’s obviously trying to be Drake. He’s always been the easiest comparison to make with Tiller, but other than the more Detroit-influenced percussion, which really sounds like a typical trap rhythm with a Detroit choice of sounds more than anything, other than an elegant Orion Sum sample… this is just a Drake song. He goes for Drake flows, Drake melodies, even Drake’s uncomfortable whispery ad-libs. You could argue that the influence is mutual, but it is really difficult for me not to see a Drake fan taking the acapella, running it through a Drake voice AI and making something completely believable. Even the content is a slightly less embarrassing Drake riff, which just shows to me that he may be a unique singer, but not so much a rapper. Tylian’s beat is pretty good on this, I will admit, but I’m compelled by Mr. Tiller enough as a unique presence to care much about this. The train-like way the song keeps to an uptempo chug is actually pretty interesting though, it doesn’t feel like it ever wants to stop and take a breath, and Tiller does contribute to that, he’s not a total dud on his own song. He’s not really improving it either, though.

#19 - “Lovers in a Past Life” - Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man

The petty part of me wants to say “2018 called” but this collaboration isn’t dated on arrival: Rag’n’Bone Man is another one of those artists I always forget about until they show up and I think this will just be a repeat of what I said about “Giant” all those years ago. He needs a rough layer of grit under him, not this flashy, sugary house track that he sticks out like a sore thumb over. Now it may not be dated on arrival but it is in execution: this is a tropical house song, and whilst Calvin Harris has always been good at mixing and making his stuff sound professional, this actually detracts from the character-void guitar and four-on-the-floor programming that all just feels rote. He even goes for an ATB-like guitar lick in the drop amidst the house pianos that just doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t dislike this - or at least not that much - I’m just confused by how either artist felt the need to make it, because it really does not work.

#11 - “End of Beginning” - Djo

How do I even begin to pronounce that? Is he D-J-O, Duh-Joe, Joe, Sho? Oh, who am I kidding? It doesn’t matter, you know him as Joe Keery from Stranger Things. He was in a psychedelic band for a while but left and has solo work as a musician out now, with this taking from his second album and not actually released as a single, just a breakout solo hit. Is it good? Well, listen… I wish he knew he wanted Steve. The only buzz I had heard about this is that it sounded just like Mr. Lacy’s “Bad Habit” and well, I actively laughed when certain elements of the song came in because they hit nearly exactly the same way as in that song. This is most likely an influence and definitely not worth suing anyone over, but that’s primarily because neither song is any good. The lyrics are largely about his connection to his home city of Chicago as well as the acceleration of his acting career, making a point about how well, he’s still from Chicago! Whatever version you get of him, Chicago’s still in him. Yeah, it’s safe to say it doesn’t have the lyrical intricacies or at least, intriguing moments, that “Bad Habit” does, or even, and it pains me to say this, its sonic depth, so surely I should like this even less? Well, no. Djo Mama’s voice is a lot less pursuant and awkward than Steve Lacy, who also came up with some actual earworms that I respect but never want to hear again, whilst Djo here is just yapping over some synthpop. Which is fine. Have your fun. My opinion doesn’t matter at the end of the day. Just… maybe make acting a priority.

#4 - “Training Season” - Dua Lipa

I wish Dua found an interesting way to be good. This is a great, funky pop song, a worthwhile follow-up to “Houdini” with some excellent atmosphere mostly found in the dynamic mix that I’m sure Mr. Tame Impala had a lot of involvement with. It may not be a psychedelic song by nature, but there are transitory phases that absolutely show he was on the boards for. This feels like a sequel to “Houdini”, if that’s not already the intention, as Dua isn’t being the carefree love-them-and-leave-them anymore, she’s genuinely frustrated that she doesn’t have a more consistent and intimate relationship. She’s sick of being in control in these relationships - if they can be called such - and wants someone to go there, to actually mean something to her and put that effort in. Yet it doesn’t hit as much as I want it to… it may be the replacement of the rubbery bass from “Houdini” with a focus on soaring psychedelic synths and a guitar tone I’m not really big on in the chorus. Maybe it’s just that this funk-pop sound isn’t all that new and in that case, it’s impressive that Dua has made it this far without sounding boring.

Conclusion

With that said, she still obviously gets Best of the Week because good God, this was a mediocre set. Honourable and Dishonourable Mentions would be overly charitable probably, but I am going to give Bryson Tiller some benefit here, specifically because “Whatever She Wants” does have a decent instrumental, whilst Djo takes the Dishonourable Mention for “End of Beginning”, God, even the title is awkward. As for the worst, Shy Smith I think takes this handedly for “Soaked” but… will it even last a second week? I don’t know, it’s easily the least essential and least likely to last song that debuted. Lmao just know I'm brainrotted and am mentally making both my Xatts Anthros but more animal aligned than anthro Xatts cause Xep is based on a hare in my mind so I wanna turn her into a gangly limbed uncanny hare freak (lovingly) with stupid big ears who just generally has major something is very very wrong with her vibes and probably delights in torture and maiming like a little freak and would growl at Hayden ears pinned back in aggression showing, sharp back teeth that definitely probably shouldnt be there if he looked at the rabbit Xatt anthro too long.

Meanwhile sweet bun Xatt is stuck with this terrifying lanky maniac and is just shaped smaller squishy and ever so soft and fluffy with such delicate gentle paws and a light step. And Xep just wants to dress her up and admire her prize. But also probably has something a bit wrong with her as well. What exactly idk but probably don't get caught snooping somewhere you shouldn't by her. Cause I like the oh a cute lil lady <3 - oh there's something wrong with her actually. Maybe magic idk like I like the idea of powers especially darker magic making her perhaps just as deadly as the maniac hare.

Cause both being Xatts they're both dangerous just in slightly different ways bun is a cutesy lure with the unexpected jaw while Xep is cunning and moreso hunts and I think that'd translate over making them both deadly in different ways. They probably have some sort of work deal pact, not sure what or why I like them being in a fucked up partnership cause dynamic. Bound by blood. I'm just so brain rotted and so normal about this XD with so many mental images of art I'll never make but oof I wanna. I just thought you had a right to know your hayden world stuff urg it consumes me I love thinking about it its so fun.

Also I just like uncanny Valley hare lanky wrong and unnerving paired with a small fluffy and trustworthy bunny rabbit. Like the brain is vibrating at mental imagery of that the opposites the cute correct adored and the terrifying incorrect feared, always kind of bound to the other inseparable almost. Idk I can't fully explain it but thoughts go BRRR

In regards to the designs, any proportions you wanna draw them with are totally fine! You can draw 'em anthro with human proportions and clothing, you can draw them quad, you can draw 'em like Bugs Bunny and anything in between. Xatts can come in many shapes and sizes! A long gangly uncanny one sounds cool.

Also, having something "wrong" with 'em and a slightly ominous streak is very much in character for Xatts...they tend to be a little odd and feral at the best of times--it's mostly a matter of what their individual "bad" percentage is and how good they are at controlling it.

Also, your description of your two as a tag team sounds very endearing! I'll keep that in mind when I do your Xatt sketches… (still planning that, just catching up on stuff and in a bit of a digital art slump at the moment)

In regards to Hyden's reaction, I can certainly say he'd be rather creeped out by a Xatt. Once the surprise wore off, though, he'd be fascinated by this strange, new, potentially magical creature… careful, Xep, don't let him get you on the dissection table!

In the current version of the Amaranthine story, Xatts aren't canonically present--they're more of a free-floating monster idea that could be plugged into any setting--but they were originally part of Amaranthine back in 2009.

In the original 2009-era backstory for Xatts, they were born from the Shadow. Given that Hyden was the one who released the Shadow upon the world in the first place, that would have made him their accidental "father", in a way.

The connection between the two isn't canon anymore, but just a fun little bit of trivia. :)

Buckle up folks it’s time for blob headcanons part 2: explaining his backstory this time

I think I’ve stated in his previous headcanon post that he isn’t Raydian. It’s very obvious that he isn’t; comparing him to one is like comparing a cat to a dog. There’s some similarities but there are a few differences that set them apart.

For starters Raydians don’t have tails! Blob does and it often trails behind him loosely. He has partial control over it but it does what it wants most of the time. It’s sort of his “compass” in a sense? It usually ends up pointing somewhere he needs to go, or he usually uses it to point to an exact place since the end of it is an arrow (and it makes it easier for him to track things). He gets asked about it sometimes and he just says/signs

“Oh, this thing? It’s my tail” and he goes back to whatever he was doing

As for what he is/could be, have a small bit of trivia:

before the development of De Blob, there was De Blob: Utrecht! Based off of the Utrecht School of Arts, this was essentially the prototype to the De Blob games.

this game basically followed the same plot: INKT taking over a colored city, Blob comes in to save the day

Though- instead of using color, you had to absorb people

I remember reading this and I’m like “Oh cool. So what if I took this and just. made them like a subspecies of Raydians” which is why we’re here today

Utrecht (The Planet) and Utrechian/Utrechter (The People that Live There)

I headcanon them as carnivores based off the game’s mechanic of literally absorbing people. They can eat fruits but it’s not something they’re going to make a main part of their diet

They’re probably a lil grumpy and rude as result but they’re pretty similar to Raydians outside of that, colorful and genderless folks

I’ll make a separate post about these guys but! That’s what I believe he could be.

As for his backstory, I do believe he was born there, but was most likely discarded for his appearance. He was probably taken in by someone who possibly had a bit of pity for him, and could’ve eventually migrated over to Raydia. He wasn’t raised in Chroma (and if I remember correctly he was raised in Pantone Village) and most likely started realizing he wasn’t exactly normal compared to everyone else

Outside of the literal difference in species his powers are incredibly out of the ordinary. I think I briefly explained them but to sum it up: he can manipulate color energy. Reviving trees, changing the appearance of a bird, breaking Graydians out of suits by overloading them with color energy. He’s able to both manipulate color energy to do what he wants and is able to raise the color energy levels by simply painting.

These powers were something he was either given or born with, and while I’ve always said he was born with them it doesn’t make a bunch of sense. Who would he have gotten them from?

It would make more sense that he had gotten them from somewhere, possibly from some sort of accident or a strange overload of color energy. Perhaps that messed him up and now he has the ability to paint and do all that he can currently do

And what he got into contact with is an absolute mystery to me. Maybe an over abundance of color atoms? Color energy is very unstable and I wouldn’t be surprised if that were to be the reason, but it’s something that I’ll have to think about more

I don’t think he has an appetite for meat purely because of his upbringing; it probably makes him sick and irritates his stomach. It also probably tastes gross to him and he absolutely prefers fruits

And i think constantly being around Raydians has also influenced this. I think if he stuck to his natural diet he would have no friends whatsoever

He probably goes quiet when someone asks him where he’s from, or what his story is. It’s probably not a fond memory for him/he doesn’t remember everything. and asking about his power is probably going to get you the same response

FINALLY got this sussed out. all the gang members' birthdays (and zodiac signs to boot)

some notes:

i determined characters' birthdays by matching sign personalities to their personalities, some less accurate than others. and honestly doing that gave me some inspo for potential further character development

neither screwball nor juicebox went to college. although screwball did temporarily move to the town where the art school the majority of the gang members attended was located, which is how they met

hot-rod took a gap year before attending art school. that should explain the extra length of time between grad years

the assignment of specific days was random at best, with some utilization of my synesthesia (my mind assigns colors to numbers. i tried to find the most fitting color combinations where i could. 6/12 worked out great bc in my mind 6 is orange and 12 is cyan which are screwball's colors :P)

and of course sharky and shipwreck's birthdays are just. mine and boat's actual birthdays bc why change it lol (of course he has the cat sign. of course he does)

i dont follow astrology but i like knowing people's signs and kinda learning a lil about the signs to see how accurate they are. just for trivia's sake. ive never looked at a horoscope i dont think ever

There's been a boatload of talk about negative stuff in my Tumblr circles, so it's time to do some random rambling about the awesome stuff that's been happening recently, cus this is my space, and I came to this website for escapism and happiness, goddamnit!

So, art month's been going pretty dang well so far. Of course, I'm still not an expert, and I'm not getting an enormous amount of notes or anything, but I'm definitely improving and climbing up, slowly but surely (and the fact that I could get even just a few people to care enough click the buttons feels incredible... maybe I should do more ships and power swapped scugs in the future?). Exams will probably start coming up in the second half of the month, and I may have to skip or delay lots of days then, but I still have plenty of time until that happens (yes, I know I didn't do 4 yet, but I assure you - that had nothing to do with the drama that was happening, I was just tired as hell, and so I couldn't draw too much xd).

Some other games I've been following have also got some good news - like for instance, there's this custom campaign series in Warcraft 3 called 'Warcraft 3 Alternate', which are the vanilla campaigns, just races and factions all being swapped around, with a bunch of extra new features, systems, units, heroes, and other additions too. And couple days ago, it's fifth campaign was released, which I really enjoyed watching on YouTube, since this is the point in the story where all the main factions pop up, but they're all swapped around now, so the situation is kind of a mess. Oh, and this partially inspired fire Rivulet too, so there's some neat trivia I guess.

And League of Legends - while is not getting the Arena back, that me and my dad had such a blast with - is getting updated bots, which is very much a big deal for me, cus I used to constantly 1v5 them, as a way to enjoy all the awesome and fun characters from the game, without having to potentially put up with douchebags the matchmaking might throw at me. And if I have time, I'll most definitely want to test of these new ones will be 1v5-able, and if so, which champions could pull it off?

Now, back on track to the Rain game - I've been really loving all the amazing pieces my dear friends and mutuals and acquaintances and other lovely folks have been making for the art month! Their skills and creativity is nothing short of impressive. However, I've been running into a bit of a dilemma, where I'm often thinking about liking or reblogging something, but then my brain goes "Hey, what about all the other stuff that you aren't reblogging or liking, even though they would clearly deserve it? Wouldn't it be unfair if you boosted this, but not those?" and it kind of makes me not want to press the buttons, even if the post might actually deserve them.

Does anybody else have this experience, or am I just going crazy here? There's probably some sort of solution here, and I hope I'll eventually figure it out, cus y'know, it's probably also unfair to not like or reblog people's stuff, while still hoping that they would do it to me. It just feels a lil dirty, and I'm really trying to figure out how to make myself stop.

... yeah, I know this was meant to be about only positivivty, but I wanted to mention that little pet peeve of mine. I don't really feel like it would b justified to create a Disord chatroom just for this, y'know.

I would like some random trivia on Leroy and Tsuri if that's okay! Please. They're among my favorites of the cast, and I'm always eager to learn more about them! 😊

Ooooo! I'm throwing some out then!

- Despite encountering many creeps at his job, Leroy actually enjoys being a maid (or at least likes the get up). His maid gals make it worth it

- Tsuri's team consist of a hotel owner that serves as a hideout and luring targets, a hacker that can get info on anyone and everyone, and a bar owner that also serves as a hideout and info getter. He also has an obsessive fangirl that helps cover up his tracks, but he doesn't know she exists (Leroy knows her, but she doesn't like him out of jealousy). They have names but I forgot--

- Leroy's "lil" dream is to travel around the world and learn how to make each country's special dessert.

- Part of Tsuri wants to learn how to do graffiti art. Some murals really capture the eye (Morgana?)

- Both have thought of the possibility of being a married couple, but they're both hesitant. Would they truly be the best for each other? Will something go wrong? Is it even safe to do?

- As dangerous as it is, Leroy loves helping Tsuri in getting his targets. It gets messy of course, but Leroy can't help but be attracted to that strength (the strength that has saved him time and time again)

- Tsuri actually attempted to split things between him and Leroy in hopes that Leroy could live a better life, but it didn't work out. At all. Tsuri trying to explain why he should leave hurt Leroy so much, Leia ended up taking over, just so they could breathe. Tsuri regretted it, and hugged them in guilt.

- Leroy's favorite drink is Sex on the Beach (no funny ideas), and Tsuri likes a simple Old Fashion

- Both like semi-public "activities", though Tsuri will never admit it (get funny ideas lol)

Oh! I have half-siblings by the way,on both of my biological parent's...

On my biological mother I have 5 half-sister's and 1 half-brother.

On my biological father I have 2 half-brother's and 1 half-sister.

The first half-sister on my biological mother named Mary Carolyn or her pet name is Maco coz of Ma-ry & Ca-rolyn. So, I remember the time that my biological mother was pregnant on Maco, I was with her and we always went to mall... Before the time that my biological mother was on her own peak on her art life, we always went to mall to shop as in shopping to the fullest... But not the way of upbringing of my adoptive parent's on me...

The story of the name of Maco, we went to mall that time and we went to this particular doll shop Carolyn dolls. My biological mother suddenly told me that I will name your sister as Carolyn. Why,Mary? Coz of hmm... hmm... As far as I can remember coz of mama mary? I forgot but the Carolyn got from the doll shop.

And another half-sister came into our lives named Audiezel but sometimes we are calling her Azelai then suddenly Burger... Why? I was with my biological mother when she was on her labour on Burger... During her labour and until she gave birth on Audiezel, she said I will still think of her name...

Then,time comes that this Audiezel was already in the world... We held her in our arms and we all noticed that her face looked like a Burger with many sesame seeds on her face... And my biological mother said she looked like a burger,right? And I suddenly sing a song for her that " I love you Burger2x Azelai Burger,you are the Burger,Azelai Burger" maybe next time I can add the rhythm here...
