Thinking abt Ace Attorney Social media HCs

Phoenix: Technologically illiterate, doesn’t really know what social media is or how to use it and refuses to learn because the longer he keeps up the bit the funnier it gets

Edgeworth: Doesn’t particularly care for social media, but found out about tumblr through Maya and now has an anonymous Steel Samurai account. His tagging system is meticulous and he has all notifications turned off. He treats it like he does office work. He and Maya are mutuals. Doesn’t have a personal account to speak of

Maya: Runs a semi-popular canon url pink princess and steel samurai fan tumblr. Also has a personal Instagram that’s mostly her eating burgers

Pearl: Didn’t have social media for a long time because of Morgan, but Maya introduced her and she has a very inactive private Instagram. She’s also in charge of the Kurain Village socials, which are very neat and professional

Mia: Was technologically illiterate and died before the social media boom was completely inescapable so nada

Diego: Socials weren’t as big before he fell into a coma and afterwards he doesn’t care too much about his image so he has nothing. HOWEVER, Maya started a twitter called “dead philosopher wisdom” that’s just random Diegoisms. He’s doing NUMBERS on there but is unaware of it because he doesn’t use twitter

Franziska: Knows how social media works because she needs it for her job but doesn’t use it very often. Her account has like 2 posts on it and she mostly uses it to keep track of targets and online paper trails

Kay: Runs an instagram account called “Edgeworth where he shouldn’t be” that’s nothing but silly and embarrassing candids of Edgeworth. Oldbag won’t stop messaging her asking who she is and how she’s getting these pictures

Apollo: Has a twitter with two followers that he uses to retweet and comment on legal academia news. He’s super active on all the law forums and legal advice columns and unfortunately has definitely posted on r/AskALawyer on mutliple occasions. His real claim to fame, though, is the anonymous Instagram he runs for his cat Mikeko. It’s called “The Pawsecutor’s Office” and he dresses up Mikeko like all the prosecutors (Miles Edgepurrth, Clawvier Gavin, Franziska Von Catma, etc) for photoshoots and silly skits. It’s wildly popular and Apollo would die if he were revealed to be behind it

Klavier: Super popular across all platforms and loves being silly online. If Edgeworth saw all the thirst traps he was posting he would prolly have a heart attack

Kristoph: Has a very minimal personal account for professional reasons but his REAL online footprint is the dozens of alternate accounts he uses to cyberstalk people and send his brother hate mail

Athena: Perfectly normal social media user. Has personal accounts that she posts to occasionally with cute photos of what she’s doing. The only person using it correctly

Trucy: Insanely popular on socials for her magic act. Knows how to market herself online better than anyone. She has a smaller personal account where she occasionally posts silly things about the WAA

Blackquill: Ran an edgy anime Tumblr for years before his incarceration and was posting on AO3 a lot. He comes back after his release explaining the break between chapters of his latest fanfiction was due to him being put on death row for seven years and continues posting normally with no mention of his prison sentence ever again. When he finally posts another AMV it’s a joyous day indeed

saw a tiktok and a man commented sth along the lines of “women chose the bear but now theres wade wilson”

at first i was so confused i was like huh? and then he continued replying to himself by saying he made that comment bcs women are now ‘thirsting’ over wade wilson on tiktok and i was like ohhhhhhh… way to completely MISS THE POINT. AGAIN.

when thinking about the wade wilson case the first thought that comes to mind is how he SLAUGHTERED those 2 women. not how to turn the reaction of tiktok users into yet another weapon against the man v bear argument. his comment didnt make sense to me at first bcs its so mind boggling to me that thats the connection he makes when he thinks of wade wilson, not the fact that wade wilson is a convicted rapist, murderer, and batshit insane.

also women finding wade attractive is not saying theyd pick him over a bear. he is convicted, and on death row, he does not serve as an active danger to many women’s lives anymore, while regular men DO serve as an active danger to women’s lives. finding wade wilson attractive is like finding ted bundy attractive way back when. or hell, even jeffery dahmer bcs of the way hollywood has presented these terrible people. ITS NOT SERIOUS. its simply not that deep. just like how the man v bear argument was initially posed BY MEN as a question that was not that deep and only meant to enhance male ego, women saying wade is attractive is not that deep and is not an attack on men and is not relevant to the man v bear argument. this mans ego was small enough to be affected by this happening, that he is relating every single thing women now do that doesnt give him attention, as an attack on all men. pathetic. its not about u asshole its abt the women wade wilson murdered 😐

Grimsby Grove 'Predator' - What We Know

On November 5th 2023, the Grimsby Grove/ Staves Rest Drama askblog had replied to an ask alleging there was/is a predator in the group threatening the safety of minors.

Since then, any talk about the allegations, predator, and victim in question has been met with deflection and fear-mongering. The blog in question has been 'gathering evidence' from a victim who chooses to remain anonymous for fear of doxing. Regardless, no concrete proof has been provided as to who the predator is, their actions, or how to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

Previously, allegations of another user by the name Chip2Changeling had come out in February 2022 with their involvement in the proship community previously as well as a toxic relationship. This account will not debate the validity of proship nor its implications. There are other platforms for this discussion.

The community was alerted to this member being banned in a single announcement.

It was simple and clear to the point. Any predatory action would not be tolerated within this group. Grimsby Grove and its staff have never publically strayed from this stance. However, it should be noted that the user in question was given a chance to refute these allegations in a private ticket.

Instead of addressing the allegations or coming to an agreement with mod staff, Chip has maintained their innocence and that any previous actions in their past were no longer their current views. This was also the last post under the account.

Fast forward back to 2023, new allegations are made and no action has been taken by mods. Normally, this would raise concerns. However, without any names, screenshots, or information beyond the accusation, this leaves everything to hearsay. The only 3 parties who know the full story are the victim in question, the alleged predator, and the blog owner.

The fear of doxing, while understandable, makes the case far more complicated. However, there are trusted adults within not only the group itself; but also outside in the wider Internet. (This blog owner recommends twitter user @/liomanbad. As long as you are honest and forthcoming with evidence, he will lead you in the direction of law enforcement, if not do it himself)

The drama blog owner and victim has claimed that the moderation team has not taken any action against any of the accusations. However, it has been told repeatedly by the mod team that no such event has occurred and that they want the victim to come forth with evidence to drive the alleged predator out of the community

Alternatively the (alledged) victim has posted on anon that they are afraid and are struggling with health issues. Yet over a month later (as of writing 12/29/2023) no further discussion has been brought forward

With the blog owner endorsing the claims but also not coming out with the proof because they are still collecting it

With this ask being the final mention of the topic. The only other instance of predators being within the group was when the staff signup sheet was leaked with two rows dedicated to claiming a 'Preditorinyourstaff'

A link to the spreadsheet will not be provided for security reasons.

Furthermore, GrimsbyGrove Staff has invited and encouraged any members that feel unhappy about the group to leave.

In closing, this post and any future posts are to address allegations within the group Grimsby Grove. However, I am willing to break the story on any mishandling of any group or other false allegations.

To the mods of GG, I hope for the sake of your health, you take it easy in the new year. There is always room for improvement but in situations like these, it is draining. Please rest up and let us have a happy new year

To the owner of the drama blog and victim. Come forward with your story. If you have truly been victim to crimes against you as a minor, then tell the adults so that we can handle it. Not just the community leaders, but your parents as well. And The Police. Reporting the predator to the police will help prevent others from being victimized. If your local precinct doesn't help you, move to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline. Their number is 24/7 and they can walk you through getting the evidence you need.

To the alleged predator. You are innocent until proven guilty. If you know you are innocent then come forward with your side. Help us help you. If we can save someone from defamation and life-ruining claims, then we should.

Finally to the blog anons. Very few of you have raised good points in the past. However, the overwhelming majority are toxic gutter trash. Leave. Leave the server, leave the community. You are not welcome, you are not wanted here. If the group is so unfun for you then walk out of the server. We are here for a silly art game. Not for your kiwifarms-esc drama posting. If you have that much of an issue with the group, go complain on KF or lolcow. At least then you don't have to hide behind anon to make your dogshit takes.

One last post-mortem. In the screenshots provided, certain names have been censored. This is due to the members in question still being active and had only participated in the conversation. DO NOT HARASS ANYBODY. Censored name or not, it is shitty of you to threaten anyone on the internet.

EDIT 1/13/24:

The victim in question has backed out of the allegations and will not be presenting a doc on the incident. We still encourage you to tell your story if there truly was a crime that happened. Nobody wants a predator in their community. The mod team and we as members want to see justice for you if you were truly victimized.

Otherwise, all we have is hearsay. And with flimsy accusations, all we can assume that it was a lie.

ok hi, when i made this submission i was def just doing it on impulse and not well articulated but let me be clear about something: i am not mat at MV themselves. their art is good i like it a lot, i even have quite a few of their skins bc theyre pretty and have a cool niche. that said i do appreciate u guys in the comments telling me to shut up bc youre right tbh (/gen), i was just really annoyed when i saw them winning yet again and i'll try to explain

1. as for "tearing them down", i really didnt mean it to come across that way since theres no denying that MV is good at what they do and they have a nice art style on their skins. my annoyance was mainly directed at the staff and not MV themselves, so im sorry that it came off that way

2. ik im probably very much in the minority here but the issue i have with them winning so many times in a row is that it is blatant favouritism on the staffs end, and its not MV's fault obviously.

personally i dont enter skin contests since i dont really do art on/for FR and idk if i would feel differently about it if they didnt win fests in a row, like if there was 1 fest or 2 in between wins? like i said their art is good and i like it so im happy to be able to get nice skins for free, but i dont really see the fun of having a community skin contest if you already know that one of the winners slots is going to someone in particular. its probably a non-issue for a lot of people ("wow, two cakes!" kinda energy) but it just rubs me the wrong way. kind of like some of the surprise/excitement is taken away because you know that since they submitted their skin and their art is good, theyre going to have a winner slot no matter what anyone else posts

(Basically just some info abt me & how i plan to use this blog)

So to get the basics outta the way, i of course go by Bee-mEs (just bee is fine, also, it's pronounced mess). Im 16, Aro-Ace, male, and... yea thas about it.

Couple of things,

ONE(1). I do not use the queue so shit will post when it posts.

TWO(2). This blog may have long stretches where i just dont post. Along with days in a row where i just start posting rapid fire outta nowhere, so brace for that.

tldr this isnt a new idea

1. Intro

so idolizing culture isn’t exclusively kpop- we see it in a lot of celebrity culture, religious culture, sports, media, etc

and usually with things like actors, musicians, the red carpet celebs in western media it feels like they accept it with grace, theyre above the idolization , it’s like of course people would idolize them they cant help but follow them? because of their talents or whatnot

and of course japanese idol culture is its own ballgame/separate thesis/a mess

but as a (thorough imo) enjoyer of kpop - i feel like they are given and accept the label of idol and really like fully encourage the act of idolization (ofc this is run by Thee System but that doesnt mean the idols arent actors in Thee system)

ie; - fansigns (buying 500+ copies to meet them for 2 minutes)

- buying food for fans who wait outside music shows at 1am-5am to cheer for them

- the companies telling fansites when their flights are

- encouraging fans to go to multiple concerts

- fanculture of pcs, signs, banners, collecting

- fanservice videos acting like bfs, etc

Anyway. There is Thee Idol and Thee fan.

2. Thee fan

i feel like there’s an addiction to meeting Thee idol, like continuing to go their fansign, following them to all their fansigns, seeing glimpses of them leave their cars

( ofc not excusing sasaeng behaviors bc that borders weird; tho ofc born out of Thee system + lack of ability to make repercussions )

so Thee fan has this idea in their head that they feel fulfilled after seeing their idol, a normal human being, that they can wait 2-3 days overnight on the sidewalk to get front row seats to [___]

(harries are like this too.) you saw your idol, that you have consumed, learned, feel like you /know/, but yet see as an… overarching comfort character? a deity? a phantom person?

3. Acceptance

with both sides of the relationship accepting their roles, is this thus a toxic or healthy relationship?

can it be healthy to have a powerdynamic so skewed?

will occasional fansigns demands/requests for aegyo, meowing, and humiliation, potential of large group boycotts for having a kid, pressure to stay single, straight, perfect looking, and perfect behaviors actually make the power balance given to the fans?

and thus comes how idols are different — the intimacy of dedication fans give to the idol in turn, because the idol is your deity you will sacrifice for, this supposedly creates an idol who has to give whim to the collective’s desires: what one gets one must give

4. Exhilaration

my conclusion to all of this is: this is kind of obsession obviously only applicable to a niche group, such as the GMA nct 127 overnighters who have too much time on their hands and exceptional will. but often i do think about the dynamics and the ultimate thought of not needing to deliver some Amazing Album/Performance (tho yes) (no one in this audience even had the GMA stream out/cared abt the 2baddies performance) but of holding the moods of a lot of people in precarious balance/riding the thin line of deity and regular person.

they are in a lot of ways creating a reason to live (seeing them/being entertained by/hope of a notice, a mention, reading vlive comment, replying to twitter question, making eye contact) , an all encompassing cycle that keeps a lot of people in the system of getting more hits of the high (seeing Thee idol) and getting Thee exhilaration, the suspense, the excitement, the adrenaline.

these are all emotions you can have perhaps, in love (romantic or not, wonderful experiences, etc) - but this Dynamic and their acceptance, encouragement, and Thee system creates those strong emotions when you have such a system that has such devotion, obsession, idolization.

this type of thrill + emotional turmoil is both a hit of happiness and yet the un-fulfillment of fully knowing/having perhaps… the ‘y/n moment of ur dreams’. but are these hits enough positive net for this relationship to be good? are they doing us a favor of continuing such a cycle of edging pure exhilaration? is this fulfillment the modern day catharsis?

hi, um no idea if you can just ask about stories here, but I just had a flash of inspiration and had to think of you. I'm usually a quiet reader and never write comments but I just love all your stories. You really have such a good writing style it's amazing. So my idea of ​​a story was: Joel and female reader with age gap (bc daddy issues r kicking in when i think abt joel) and then just joel comforting the reader because she has her period and it hurts? So just fluff ig? Idk I just had to think of a story like that with Joel. As I already said, I think your stuff is so good, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask <3

With prompts like these I always like to do a brief idea of said prompt through The Last of Us timelines & a fictional story too. Hopefully, if this is ok with you, I’d like to cover this concept in all aspects and do just that. Shall we call it, a two in one?? Lol. Hope you enjoy what I’ve wrote, my love :D

For this part, the age gap for reader obviously ages with time. The second part (in the fictional story) I will implement it better with it being a singular event opposed to living through 20 years of the monthlies.

Pre-Outbreak -

You’ve gotten your period again? No problem! Joel Miller is on the case. Of course he would be. Anything for his lady.

Off to the car and straight to the nearby store, no matter what time of day, Joel will be out buying the essentials.

Essentials ranging from the sanitary products you need, any painkilling meds to help with your discomfort, to candied sweets, savory foods and beverages. Any type of food or drink that he has picked up on - during the time being with you - that he knows you like. Because let's face it, chocolates are considered essentials during the monthlies, Joel knows that by now.

As for pain, Joel will comfort you regardless if the meds are kicking in. He will comfort you during this regular process, just like last month and the month before that, and hopefully forever in time. You’re his lady for life and he will tell you this any chance he gets.

Comforting such as massaging, hot baths and hot water bottles. Long, tight and close contact cuddles with extra kisses, all while he whispers how much he loves you.

“There, darlin.” // “Just relax for me, I’ll take the pain away.” // “I love you, sweetheart.” // “I’ll rub your back. Anywhere you need massaging, name it, baby. I got you.”

During the Outbreak:

Nothing has changed. Joel Miller will always be there for you, front row and center at the ready.

But oof, this time period is certainly a little more difficult to tackle a monthly cycle. Without the factory production of sanitary products, pretty soon after the outbreak, those will run out and you will be reduced to old fashioned methods for protection.

Not a problem for Joel. He will still be helping in any and every way he can. Like scouting items to craft these makeshift, old fashioned, sanitary products. He’s your man, and Joel is a man that is devoted to his lady.

As well as that, painkillers are no more. For you, this is not ideal or pain-free during this time of the month, for Joel? He has the opportunity to massage, kiss, hug and comfort you even more than he already does. To give you all that extra attention that you need, that he loves to provide even without reason to.

His whispered loving remarks and caring reassurances aren’t far behind either…

Post-Outbreak (Jackson Era)

20 years down the line and guess what? Joel Miller is still right there with you, easing you through this cycle. Some have been easy and light, others have been painful and heavy, but it makes absolutely no difference in how Joel has comforted you over the last two decades.

Within the walls of Jackson, the hot baths and hot water bottles are back. Even better, they have real food. Not like the junk from a QZ or living out of a tin of beans out in the open world. You’re at home now. In your own home with your man.

Joel will - if he can - join you in these baths or hot showers, holding you near and dear while peppering kisses all over your face. Rubbing soothing hands up and down your back, kneading the areas where you’re most in pain.

With the fresh produce that Jackson provides, he will be able to cook you actual flavorsome food. Breakfast in bed and extra naps, hell, Joel is joining you in those naps. Anything to be with you.

Did Joel mention this was for life? Because that’s what soulmates do. Sticking with each other like glue, you and Joel are mended together as one, and the natural - yet painfully annoying at times - monthly cycle won’t ever get in the way of him comforting and loving you.

Devotion

Stirring with discomfort in your sleep, you awoke with the familiar sensation of leaking and the dread of it seeping through your underwear.

Shit, I’m early!

Pulling back the covers hastily and heading into the bathroom in a panic, this action had awoken Joel too and he immediately sat up to ask, “baby, what’s wrong?”

“What do you think?” you snapped unintentionally.

Pulling down your pyjama shorts and underwear, thankfully you haven't leaked too bad but your underwear would need a few rounds with the washing machine that's for sure. The door creaked with Joel gently pushing it open and you balled up your dirtied clothing to hide your accident.

Normal yes, these things happen at times but it still feels embarrassing nonetheless.

“Baby,” he soothed, stepping further into the bathroom and kneeling down to the floor in front of you, Joel held his hands to your thighs and lifted your chin with his thumb, “C’mon doll, don’t get shy on me now. You know this is ok and that it’s natural. I’m willing to bet it’s happened to everyone that goes through this at least once in their life.”

“I know,” you shrugged sadly, and Joel reassured, telling you exactly what you needed to hear, “but it still feels embarrassing for you, I know that too darlin. I will tell you every damn time if I have to, it’s ok and you have nothing to feel embarrassed about.”

That brought a smile to your face. Joel doesn’t know exactly how you feel but over the course of the last four years being his girlfriend inside the walls of Jackson, he has come to empathize with your explanations and understand every aspect of how to ease you through it.

Even at the beginning of your relationship, he understood the problems that people have to go through with this regularity each month. The very least he can do is be there for you. Leaning in towards you, he closes the gap and kisses you, mumbling into your lips, “how bout a hot bath?”

“Joel,” you pulled back and worried, “It’s three in the morning,” to which he ran his calloused hands along your thighs softly with a smile, “So?”

Leaning over the tub, he placed the plug in the hole and ran the hot water before turning back to face you, “time of day doesn't matter when it comes to running a bath when you need it, darlin.”

You smirked, “Trying to say I'm stinky, Miller?” Teasing him playfully to lighten the mood, for yourself and for him, it worked because you both began laughing. Joel leaned in again, “nope” and nuzzled his nose against yours, “you smell wonderful, girl. Always.”

Brushing his bearded lips lightly across yours and tickling you just how you like it before kissing you once more. Running heavy, reassuring hands up and down your thighs, you break off to gasp, furrowing your brows and squeezing your legs together.

“Is it the cramps or the stabs?” he asked, trying to understand which type of pain that you are feeling right now. “Both,” sucking in a sharp breath of air, you cringed to Joel and asked him to run the hot and cold water a little faster in hopes to rid the pain quickly in the tub.

Doing as you requested, he leaned back over the tub and turned the nozzles up. After a few moments, he turned the cold back off and helped you climb inside, leaving the rest to fill up with hot water.

Bringing your knees up to your chest and resting your head against them, you leaned forward while Joel dunked an arm inside, rubbing the heel of his hands into your back, “Tell me when to stop, ok baby?”

“Hm,” laughing lightly and smiling, you closed your eyes and hummed contently with his touch, “Hm, never stop, Joel.”

His reply was simple, yet heavy with love, “as you wish, sweetheart.”

Joel isn’t just your partner. He is the other half of your life, what makes you complete as one. The man is devoted to you, and you are with him. Always by your side since the moment he laid his eyes on you on your first patrol together, it took a while for either of you to admit your feelings but you wouldn’t change it for the world.

Being just over twenty years younger than Joel, the social stigma of an age gap relationship is the only reason he didn’t say something right away. While he can be closed off, quiet and broody, Joel is straight up with what he wants. There’s no sugar coating it, he will say exactly how it is and the day he met you, he knew you were for him.

After months of dancing around each other, flirting and teasing like any other couple would, it was the kind remarks that multiple townsfolk spoke that made Joel realize people weren’t fazed by your close friendship. In fact, they thought that you were in a relationship already.

After many encounters with people all around town asking him questions about you such as ‘where is your girlfriend?’ or ‘when is she moving in’, Joel realized that he has wasted too much fucking time worrying about what others think and headed straight to you, to tell you exactly how he feels.

The reason why you wouldn't change it for the world is because of how it happened. Maybe if it happened differently, you’d still hold it as a special moment but it’s hard to think of it any other way.

There was a summer dance in the town's bar and Joel strode in, taking everyone by surprise, even yourself, by pulling you with him towards the crowds of couples on the floor and slowly danced with you. It was bold, even for him but deeply memorable for you.

Ever since that night, since seeing your emotional reaction to him slow dancing with you and admitting his feelings that he had held back for so long, it became yours and Joel's thing to dance in the living room after dinner, just before bed while whispering how much he loves you.

Every night, you and Joel would relive that memory. Chuckling and giggling to one another with his improving moves, yours too. It's a simple gesture, maybe even a regular thing for other couples too, but for you it meant the world and more. To spend each night twirling by his hands or swaying on the spot with him.

Joel saw your reaction that day and was devoted to reminding you every chance he got at how much he loved you. To remind you every night of that feeling you got in that exact moment in that bar so long ago and hopefully for the rest of your lives together.

Unfortunately right now, he is being reminded how painful your period can be considering the hot bath isn’t easing your pain as effectively as he hoped it would. He left you momentarily to get your fresh clothes, some makeshift sanitary products and a glass of water with some painkillers.

Helping you out of the bath, you could barely stand up straight with the crippling cramps and although you didn’t need him to, he helped you get dried and dressed too before carrying you. Legs and arms wrapped around him, you buried your head into his neck while he walked to bed.

There’s something about him that makes you feel better. His proximity maybe. His body heat or just his love, but when he lay down on his back and kept laying across his chest, sleep was racing towards you quickly. It was tugging at your eyelids, stinging for you to close them and rest.

Joel knows you like the back of his hand. Pulling the thick duvet covers up over your bodies, he rubbed deep and slow circles into your lower back while kissing your cheek, “rest up darlin, I ain’t going anywhere, and you let me know if it gets worse, ok?”

Nodding to him, you closed your eyes and let sleep take over. He hated seeing you this way. Watching your face wince here and there with a stab of pain, your body shifting to find ease. After a while, he could see and feel how hot you were getting, so he carefully rolled over to switch up his laying positions.

Spooning you from behind instead, you hummed sleepily with relief when he slipped his warm hand around your front and across your lower stomach. Nestling his chin into the crook of your neck and feeling your hand find his, interlocking your fingers between his own, Joel kissed your cheek again and fell asleep with you.

Never say never when it comes to your period.

The pain had eased off a little and gave you a break the next day, however the flow was heavy. A part of you feels terrible for taking up so much of Joel's time while he stayed with you, but another part of you was forever grateful that he wasn’t scared off by the sight of blood.

Bleeding through your sanitary products and nearly onto the bed once again, he had to remind you for the second time that it was ok. You know it is, but you're now doubling up the protection in fear of leaking onto the bed later tonight.

Stepping out of the bathroom after a quick shower, you headed downstairs and into the kitchen. “Hey baby,” greeting him by the kitchen counter, you turned on the spot and asked, “Could you check me?”

He slapped your ass, “All good darlin, I promise,” eliciting a teasing shake of your head with narrowed eyes to which he threw his hands up in the air, “Hey, I had to make sure.”

Humor was another tactic Joel liked to use to help you. He’s quite funny on a mellow level anyways, but you’ve noticed that he amps it up a little during your period. Laughter is always good in raising one's spirit, right?

Pulling you in for another morning kiss to the cheek when you walked over to the sink, Joel wrapped his arms around your front and rubbed your stomach, “How are you feeling?”

“Much better than earlier, thanks to you,” lolling your head back to his shoulder with a smile, he swayed on the spot with you and replied, “my pleasure, baby. Can’t allow you to be hurting like this.”

Humming together, you brought your hands down on top of his, closing your eyes while he peppered light kisses to your neck. Periods can come short and quick, painless and make life easy but other times, they can be very heavy, extremely painful to not only your body, but painfully annoying in mind too with the drastic spikes in hormones.

You suck it up and plod on through them but Joel Miller makes even the hard ones much easier to go through, and swaying right here on the spot with him in the kitchen on your home together, you're thankful that your period sparks such intimate and loving moments with him.

His devotion to you matches no other.

AN: Growing up with lots of sisters, it was quite an open and honest atmosphere in my household, so going through the monthlies for myself personally, I was never alone. I only hope that this fic can provide something like that for anyone who reads and finds themselves alone during this time.

I know people may say ‘it’s just a period’ but for some (like myself) it can be a harrowing experience in many ways to go through each month. They're natural, normal, fucking awful at times too, and I hope this fic of Joel comforting reader through this provides everything that you needed to hear. Dani I’m slightly/mildly irritated/pissed off

So like I love my grandparents. They’re weird, eccentric, not sure how they’re still married cos they’re honestly neurotic. My nanny is a worrier and my grandad is a teaser but we usually get on quite well

Recently my nanny has been making comments about my eating habits. E.g. I was at a party and ate two chocolates (small pebbles sized) and she warned me away from a third and made some comment about dying of a stroke if I eat too much chocolate. Then at the end of the party I took another 2 chocolates and she said that I couldn’t finish my (very sweet) cake but I cld eat more chocolate

Then the other day It was Father’s Day so my grandad got some chocolate and my nanny can’t eat it, and she was like ooh I can’t eat that so I said if you need someone to share it with then I’m available, and then my grandad makes a joke abt how he’s worried abt my intestines, which is clearly a joke and he’s just messing cos he does that, then my nanny goes on to say she’s worried abt my arteries

My parents are NOT happy. Like she did this to my auntie and it gave her issues. I don’t think I’m overweight or unhealthy and I eat quite healthily for my age really, so I’m less self conscious and more just upset and annoyed that she’s acting like this and being judgmental

The icing on the cake is that I wanted to go see them for a chat today cos I was in the area, so I stopped by and we had a nice chat, and they offered me a fruit bar that I didn’t really like, but I wasn’t really hungry anyway, which I said.

Then my grandad got out his chocolate, and before he could say anything she immediately shouted NO SHES NOT HUNGRY

Like bro, let him offer me a chocolate. He did, i accepted, feeling like a terrible person, when he offered me another one later on I felt obliged to refuse so clearly it is affecting me, Although im not concerned abt my health just abt being judged

And then I was discussing how I’d finished two books today, and she goes off with, how much of the Bible did you read? And goes off on a long rant about how I need to be reading the Bible and basiaclly making me feel worthless for something SOO many people really struggle with. I’m kind of annoyed I didn’t tell her I was considering atheism (which I’m not, but the look on her face would have been hilarious) and this whole time she’s almost shouting at me, I think my grandad is just tryna wind me up and he goes, ‘oh I’d read the whole Bible by the time I was 16 and I was disappointed I took that long’

And their judgement isn’t doing anything to help our relationship either. Like there are some things I disagree with my family on, and I’m willing to accept it and move past it and love them regardless, as long as they’re not hurting people, but I’m finding it hard to like them when there’s all this judgment.

'stage chemistry' anon here! With years! I got here with years! For starters, i am not american and while i'm not straight i didn't know abt bisexuality until Willow in Buffy. So, i see a few epis of spn on tv, think scarecrow or hookman and i like horror and when i get my own laptop i search for the show. It's on it's fourth season at the time i start watching, i believe. Anyway, i really like the show, could've done with less bro drama but whatever. Castiel happens, so cool! I put the chemistry into the box of 'they're such great scene partners!'. Siren episode happens, i raise my eyebrows but when it comes to the brother aspect of it i want to bleach my brain. (i know people have tried to explain it away and it's a good epi for proof that dean is bi but i still can't get past of the implication that he has hots for his brother, just no) so i delete that epi from my memory. Ok, season 5 is sooo good and i'm watching as epis come in and i actually search for youtube content, see J2 goofing around and a few fan vids, but i still remain GA. Then there's the heaven epi with implications that Sam and Dean share heaven and again, just no. But overall amazing season and finale for the series. And then there's season 6. Why is there season 6? is my question. But i stick by it. There's some stupid jokes abt Castiel and Dean. I don't like them joking abt it, cause it feels like making jokes on the expense of gay people, but okay. 6x20 happens. Ooh, he, umm, loves him? But the betrayal is so awful. Cause it isn't just Cas betraying Dean, it felt like the show was betraying the audience. It was all so one-sided and unexpected. I still went to season 7, cause i wanted to see Misha as the big evil of the season. And then he dies in second episode. I stop watching live. I still binge a few epis in a row at some points but they lose me completely when Bobby dies. Then i see some comments abt how Cas has come back on the site i had been watching on and went to see and he came back! Dean keeping his coat was another eye-brow moment. But then they left him. Anyway, watched the epis i hadn't seen and was exited for s8. No Cas. By episode 2 i believe Dean had killed him or smth (cause of how cagy he was and how much it effected him). I stop watching again, but can't resist for long. Dean refuses to leave him behind and i'm like 'when did you start loving him back?' and then, oh man, that epi when he comes back. On one hand i wanted Dean to dream abt him like that, on the other, i wanted him back for real. I guess i had started 'shipping' them gradually, but i had no idea wtf shipping is at the time. Still very GA. The crypt scene comes along, i gotta watch away cause, you should know, i'm not into actual 'i-love-yous' and melodrama. I like to think abt it and create scenarios of my own, but i get bored seeing it in shows. I like it a lot more when it's shown in actions and veiled a little, creates more suspense. Anyway, they're family. I had thought season finale is gonna be Cas breaking free but i guess he's sidelined again, even though his story in season 8 was the most interesting part of it for me. (i thought the tablets and closing hell was so stupid, you had peace and all, why go around poking with a stick?) From then on, i wasn't watching live anymore. I checked in a few times a year and binged several epis in a row. Then comes season 11. I start watching live again and i go to Youtube again, watch a few crack vids, watch a few destiel vids, watch sdcc panels. Castiel says yes to Lucifer and i'm like wtf i need a new episode right now! I need more content! And then i come to Tumblr. I peak around, block a nasty bronly, curate my dash. I read a beautiful meta abt Dean being bi and everything clicks into place. They are in love! So that's the story of how i started shipping destiel. But cockles, just, I started to actually watch the panels. I saw a few gifs on my dash, I saw posts abt polyamory. I still tried to stay away from the cast opinions and stuff, i've never, never been interested in actors' lives. But they continued to lure

me in. Their panels are hilarious and you can see they really care for each other. Once you get past Jensen's grumpy man act and once you get past the performance Misha constantly puts on, you start to understand them a little bit. Most things can be explained away by them just joking around and being entertainers. It's all the tiny things put together. It's the things you know are not for audience. I slipped in casually, just observing. I still don't have a 'need' to know, i don't ship them as far as shipping goes. I just take them as they are. They are so sweet on each other. I love to see that. They are also dirty-minded as fuck. Especially with each other. And then there was 'Mish. Dee.' What else am i to think of that? I just hope they're happy and i love seeing them together because they love being together. No matter what their relationship happens to be. long story short: i blame Youtube and Tumblr and the hivemind that is fandom. and Andrew Dabb for making Cas say yes to Lucifer.
