  Live a Thousand Lifetimes (57K)

It’s 2025.

After secretly writing and producing their first album in ten years, One Direction is weeks away from releasing their first new single and announcing a world tour.

With the whirlwind about to begin again, Liam re-evaluates the last ten years - the fame, the money, the people who changed his life forever - and the person who walked away.

I don’t even know where to begin talking about this fic. It started out as something that wasn’t supposed to be more than 4-5K words, and somewhere along the way this is where I ended up. I anguished over each sentence, researched way more than I probably needed to, and cried buckets of tears when I finished. This was also the story that reminded me that I am still a writer, even if the stories only matter to me.

Let Me Be Your Everlasting Light  (12K)

Harry Styles and his partner Louis Tomlinson have been dating for four years. Over those years, he has always known that Louis' biggest dream has been to see the Northern Lights in person. Harry arranges a trip to Norway as a gift for Louis, but little does Louis know Harry is also hoping to make his own dream come true, too.

While I much prefer to write Ziam, there are a few rare occasions where a Larry fic makes it’s way out of my brain. This story was intended for @kingsofeverything​’s 28 Proposals fest in the winter of 2019. Unfortunately, between a hospital stay, a trip to England, and Live a Thousand Lifetimes demanding my undivided attention, I didn’t finish it in time. However, finish it I did, the following spring, and dedicated it to Lauren for her friendship and patience when dealing with my unreliable arse. This is another story that I did an absolute tonne of research for because I wanted the details to be as perfect as possible.  

Untamed Hearts (68K) 

It could have been the heat of the summer sun; it might have been the silvered sheen of an early harvest moon. If he dug deep enough, Liam could find every reason ever needed to explain away what happened. In the end, though, it all came down to two meddling friends, a touch of Prince, a bit of Keats, and the moon over the ocean. Its a recipe for disaster. Or love. Probably love.

I started writing Untamed Hearts in late 2013, after two of my fandom writing friends challenged me to do it. They both left the fandom not too long after, but whenever I see the posts for this story, I remember them and all the fun we had together. They encouraged me to try my hand at writing in this fandom, and if I were to dedicate Untamed Hearts to anyone, it would be them. Thank you Sam and Jesse, for always believing in me.

For Evermore (17K)

A Beauty and the Beast AU in which Liam is the Beast, trapped in a world suspended in time, and Zayn is the only one willing to look past the facade of enchantment to find the humanity of the man hidden within.

Beauty and The Beast is my favorite fairytale and my favorite Disney movie.  When the mods for Disney Direction were looking for pinch hitters, and this story was still available, I jumped at the chance.  Being able to recreate it with my OTP was was like a dream come true, and having it received well by those who have read it has been amazing. 

Shadow Dancing (169K+)

As a small child, Liam Payne dreamed of being a firefighter. He took up boxing to defend himself from school bullies, but never lost sight of his dream. 15 years later, Liam is set to be the youngest brigade watch commander in his district, and his recent boxing win puts him in line for the British national title - if he can learn to get out of his own way.

Zayn took his first dance lesson at 5, after watching his sister's tap class. At 18, when an injury derails Zayn's dream of dancing professionally, he sets it aside to attend university, but the lure of dancing proves too great to ignore. He becomes an instructor, and eventually, the owner of a small dance studio, where he encourages other dancers to chase their dreams.

When their worlds collide in a cacophony of misunderstandings, Zayn, confronted with his own biases, realizes there’s more to Liam than meets the eye, and offers to help him prepare for his upcoming fight.

While Liam learns to dance, Zayn learns the art of compromise, and along the way, they find each other.

And when tragedy strikes, Liam finds that Zayn’s love will help him face the shadows of his past, and give him the courage to believe in himself and his dreams for the future.

Shhhhhh! Yes, I know it’s not done. Yes, I know it’s been a while since I updated. It doesn’t make me any less proud of this story - what is already posted, and where it is going. Once again, a story I have done a literal shit tonne of research for - there are over 100 links in my research folder. And while yes, they do fall in love, this story is more a journey of self-acceptance, and as I have explored the dynamics in my characters’ lives, I’ve also done a good deal of introspection on the ones in my life, as well.

But I wonder why the boys, all the boys in 1D, were so tactile and so touchy-feely with each other from the very beginning? It’s no question one has to be blind not to see smth extra special going on between H and L, but the thing is actually all the boys were so uncannily comfortable with touching each other.

(2/5) Believe me, I know how close members in a band can get, especially when they are young, when they are good friends, and especially when they are touring. They eat together, they drink together, they sleep together (I don’t mean having sex), they play music together, they write music together, they spend all their time together, they meet new people together, they do everything together and they even date same girls (or boys) sometimes. I know that from my personal experience.

(3/5) But I’ve never ever seen boys being so comfortable with close physical contact, be it hugging or kissing on a cheek or booping in nipples or grabbing bums or stroking each other’s hair or any other form of expressing their affection. I remember my eyes popping out when I first saw Louis’ thighs/legs over Harry’s crotch in the Pikachu interview, but then I saw some other videos or gifs with Louis sitting comfortably with his legs over Liam’s down there,

i have, as a matter of fact, given this some thought before. what i think happened is two things:

they were young, teenage babies, and boys can still very much be like kids then, with very little shame or limits or self-consciousness. so i think that was a huge factor in them getting very familiar very early on.

second reason is a lot bigger, bc that first one really doesn't hold for how fucking far it could go, as you've mentioned. it's that from day one, harry and louis were interested in each other/dating. even before the band was fully formed. and then the group dynamics started building, and louis became the older brother/leader of the group, just by pure confidence and charisma. harry was always the baby who always got his way because of course he was also the genuinely sweetest fucking thing ever with a golden heart. but still a baby. the other boys accepted this dynamic bc they obviously all loved louis, above all. they would follow him through anything. so if louis was this big brother they looked up to, this best friend who had your back, and he was always tactile and soft and cuddly and sweet, especially with harry, then it's only normal to me that all the other boys followed suit. and then these three other boys became (older) brothers to harry, too, who picked up that caring/cuddly dynamic and applied it to h, and h returned it to them like a koala clinging to a tree, and then it spread like a tactile virus and then they were all past the point of no return sitting in loveseats with their knees draped over one another's crotches

case in point: louis grabs harry's face. zayn then grabs niall's.

Since you come across as both a sane Larrie and a wise person, maybe you can put my mind at ease.

On Facebook (yes, you may scold me) I read a post from a person stating kind of the following: when Larry come out, she doesn’t know if she’ll be a fan because she mainly loves all the drama and all the mysteries that come with fandom right now.

I was kinda appalled of this because, really she was stating that their closeting is a source of enjoyment for her. I replied on those lines (quite politely) as did others. She seemed real surprised and upset at all the messages she received, which made me feel kinda sorry for her. I think she must’ve been very young still. But honestly, how can anyone think along those lines? And, I am not wrong am I?

Oh, I think there are a LOT of newer fans who feel this way. Whether they're young, or straight, or just shippers... it's honestly super upsetting to see. I think, too, it's why some get bored of Larry and then move on to finding the "drama" and "mysteries" of Zarry or Ziam or "Gryles" or "Xarry" or "Louke" or whatever, but don't actually believe the relationships are real. It's just fun to find clues and make TikToks and get attention. It's a complete 180 from how this fandom used to be. Making masterposts and finding proof was about feeling there was some sort of conversation between Larry and fans. Back then it felt that they were fighting back and communicating with us so we knew the truth and we knew they wanted our support. No matter how long they needed it. Now? There are just too many fans who are like "it's taking too long for them to come out, this isn't fun for me".

I know you're a larrie blog, but i would really like to know your thoughts on ziam, romantically. I have never made research on it, but I feel some people try to put it like on a larry level and "if larry is real why wouldn't this be?" and hmmm idk if that's right you know what i mean? Are there like veteran ziammies (idk if that's the right term) or is it just something mainly on tw ig and tiktok from quarantine stans?

Hi love, I think there's a lot of ziammies on tumblr too but I don't remember people talking so much about it like they do now. I think there's a wave of new stans probably or maybe it's just the people I follow, I don't know.

As for ziam being real, I'm definitely not opposed to it, I think they would look great together although I think I would be very sad for seeing that happen with them too. Closeting is so cruel and I don't really want anyone going through that, especially considering that would mean other babygates and other horrible stuff and more oppression. IMO it's a bit unfair to compare though because we're talking about different individuals and different contexts, so I don't really see the point in comparing ziam and larry, every situation is different and context matters. I don't follow Liam and Zayn nearly enough to actually have a strong opinion about their relationships, sexuality or anything surrounding that. I did see some masterposts and "proofs" a while ago, but for me, it wasn't enough to be sure about it. Like I always say, I'm only 100% sure larry is real because of piles of piles of coincidences, patterns and context involving all kinds of situations (not to mention stunts and sexuality), and I felt like ziam didn't have enough of that, it was more circumstantial. But like I said, I don't even follow them closely.

I understand that people have different perspectives about it and feel differently about what makes them believe or not believe something too, so who knows. Maybe try to read something on ziam then anon, and see if makes sense to you and how you feel about it.

I think.. Niall's No Judgement is about all his 1D bro's. About Nialls dynamic with them, all 4 of them. And I don't think that takes something that's Nialls and is making it about ships or anything, I thought about this for a while because it felt disrespectful in a way, but, it's still about him. It's about his viewpoint and stance and all that. How he experienced them and how he's there for them. I think the "you" is with Harry in mind the most as I feel he's judged the most / struggled the most with having a public image thats the furthest removed from his real self (at least at the time) / has been open with his struggles the most (to Niall, I guess, but like... his lyrics man his lyrics), something like that.

So while I do think Nialls 2nd video is Harry, the main one with the old couple however... I don't think it makes sense to be pointing at Larry ALONE. You can kinda make it work to be about just Harry, because the references in there that seem to point to Harry are the loudest (or are they just the easiest to identify), but if you're gonna read into it from a Larry lens welp first of all jeeezzz niall you went there didn't you and second of all there are gaps in there and in those gaps you find Ziam. This video believe me I've read the fuck into this video so deep you don't wanna know and I came out the other end like "so this is Captain Nialler explaining his two ships. cool. cool cool cool."

So with No Judgement I can't go into it without going into Ziam, and, I don't know if I'm comfortable going there, I never go there, because yk Harry and Louis are my vibe, these passive aggressive judgy kleptomaniac boardgame chiquitita toddler grandpas are the shit and my 2 eyes are on them, I don't have strong opinions about Liam and Zayn and what they're all about, or Niall for that matter, so I might be claiming utter shite here, and idk if that's the best idea then to go on and talk about it in detail lol. But then there is this video and it's the biggest Captain Nialler and Larry and Ziam and Ziam and Larry and Captain Nialler thing I've ever seen and it's so awesome and AAAHH. Your fingertips come to brush against the long necklace hanging from you neck, fidgeting with the padlock that hung there, grinning at the volleyball player as he approaches you. “The picture didn’t do you any justice, babe,” with his arms stretching open, he pulls you into an embrace. “You are looking... Absolutely amazing... That shirt from Kenma?”

   Glancing down at the dark shirt, you spot the writing ‘Kodzuken’s sugarbaby’ across your chest. Rolling your eyes, you shrug, “He got it specially made for me and everything. Doesn’t exactly lie though, now does it?”

   Bokuto lets a loud laugh rumble through him, arm draping itself over your shoulders and guiding you towards the café. “So, tell me about what you have been up to. Last I heard, you’d only just started your channel, and now look at you: getting close to two million subscribers. How does that feel?”

   “Why’d you say it like some game show host?” Laughter cuts you off momentarily, “But it’s great, Kō. I always thought I’d end up like you and play volleyball, until I grew old. Getting to do something that makes me as happy as this does is great. Not to mention, streaming with Kenma gives me a chance to spend time with him. You’d be surprised at how busy he is, for someone who never leaves the apartment.”

Bokuto raises an eyebrow as he looks down at you. Despite you and Kenma always swearing up and down that neither of you were anything more than good friends and roommates, you both spent a lot of time with one another... And talking about one another.

It always seemed like there were other things going on between you two. Even during your last year of high school together, you both had been inseparable.

Everyone knew it, as well. No one could ever confirm or deny what they thought was going on between you two, so no one ever asked.

   When you both entered the quaint café, together, the few people seated throughout the café fell silent. A flash of familiarity ran over quite a few faces at the sight of one of Japan’s finest volleyball players and a rather popular Youtuber and Twitch streamer. And for some, both of you were recognized.

   Both of you step up to the counter, ordering drinks and pastries for the both of you. Some came up for autographs, while you both got settled, while others just stared. But it wasn’t anything that deterred you both from your conversations.

   “You should have seen it, I mean, they brought down the entire shelf. It took two hours for the entire team to put all of them back where they were supposed to go.” Kōtarō grins at the way you laugh at his recalling of their first practice as the Olympic Team. “Now they’re separating us all up into groups,” he laughs with a sheepish hand on the back of his neck.

    Then, his eyes light up, “You should come and visit us! Be our manager, or train with us, whatever! It’ll get you away from your life online! It might be fun for you to meet everybody!”

   Giving the eccentric male a tilt of your head and a grin, you shrug your shoulders, “Maybe one day, but I still have quite a bit of editing to get through, you know?” 

   Bokuto reaches to grasp his cup of herbal tea - coffee wasn’t always the best thing for the already rather energetic volleyball player. 

   “Suit yourself, but don’t come crying, when you realize how much that you’re missing out on.” Looking at you over his cup, he raises an eyebrow at you. He knew you too well. That’s why he was expecting your next words.

   “What’s that supposed to mean? You know what, fine, I’ll go with you. Starting... Next Monday, because I do still have quite a bit of editing to get through.” 

   Your friend grins in triumph, “Great, I can’t wait to introduce you to everybody. I’ll have Kuroo bring you, on Monday, alright?”

   You let yourself nod, sealing your fate, unknowing of the text that Bokuto sent to Kuroo not even minutes after your conversation was over. 

   ‘Got ‘em.’

The get-together over coffee was Bokuto’s idea. Kuroo only hatched his plan, after Bokuto had invited you out with him.

Everybody genuinely believes that you’re Kenma’s sugar baby. And hey, might as well be, at this point.

Fun fact: You and Bokuto lost your virginity to one another. (Which will come into play later, don’t worry.)

I hope you guys are all having an absolutely wonderful day! You guys better be remembering to eat, drink some water, and get some sleep (no, two hours is not enough). Remember though, no matter how small you might have thought your accomplishments today, I am so proud of you and so happy that you are here. Keep it up, darling!

there is so much misinformation out there, and you seem to be able to weed out the misinformation better then some, would you feel comfortable talking about what’s going on with zayn, just in the sense of giving clear information. it’s such a serious topic so if not i totally understand

hi!! so i’ve been in and out of socials all day so here’s what i’ve gathered in terms of what actually is going on. (keep in mind i don’t fully believe zayn and gigi were ever truly together, but i am not like all for ziam or anything). it’s a flat out smear campaign against him. i imagine he got into it with his label and management and this is how they chose to retaliate. the reports filed were under A3 (i think that’s the right category) so he never laid a hand on yolanda, she’s just an evil bitch and white woman tears always tend to get the job done. did he swear at her? i mean maybe.. it is zayn😂 but now they’re blaming it on the weed he smokes which, if you don’t know.. CANNABIS DOES NOT LEAD TO AGGRESSION. no matter the strain or potency, that is simply not how that particular drug works. so now he’s reportedly been dropped from his label and management after this whole smear campaign and all i feel is angry because ... what the fuck. and also they suggested a paternity test for khai is going to happen, which..... if you’ve been dating on and off for 6 years..... yeah. interesting. zayn deserves better. yolanda deserves to rot in a jail cell for the way she treats people.

Zigi PR Relationship Analysis

Firstly, I don’t think many people are aware of just how often fake relationships occur in the entertainment industry. They happen all of the time. And it isn’t a new thing, either. It dates all the way back to the early 20th century and what was known as Lavender Marriages, where men would marry women to hide the fact that they were gay. Although the practice has evolved since then, as it’s not necessarily about bearding anymore as it is about attracting attention, whether that be for a movie/tv show/musician/model and create hype around their relationship.

Okay, *cracks knuckles*, onto Zayn and Gigi. Zayn had a lot of people against him for two reasons; abruptly leaving the band and the mess of the end of an engagement to one Perrie Edwards (I haven’t heard that name in a while, LOL). He wanted to release solo music, but because so many people were angry at him he needed a way to distract them, and what better way to do that than a new relationship with an up and coming model who connections to the Karshian/Jenner clan?

A Hollywood publicist who admitted to producing these kinds of relationships had this to say about one of his clients due to a movie that didn’t do so well:

“It was more of a mutual agreement between the agents and we had a male who actually had a movie coming out and it was getting a lot of bad reviews and slack and they wanted to take the negativity of the movie away and make it more about him”

Sound familiar at all? Try swapping at “movie” with “music” and “negativity of the movie” with “recent fandom drama” and bam! You have Zayn Malik circa 2015.

This wasn’t just beneficial to Zayn, either. Hardly anyone outside the US knew who Hadid was, and she had had PR relationships in the past that weren’t all that successful (Joe Jonas and Cody Simpson), so having someone like Zayn who was known world wide thanks to his success with 1D, this would have been a no brainer. And it worked, incredibly well. Everyone was talking about the new up and coming couple and this brought a lot of attention Zayn’s first music video as a solo artist and people outside the fashion realm began paying attention to her. Mission successful. 

There’s a lot more I could say about this couple that definitely raises eyebrows (like the fact that she has pulled similar stunts with Cody in the past, both starring in his music video and couple photo shoots), and if you’d like to go into it, feel free to message me or browse my zigi is fake tag. Or better yet, visit some of the many other ziam accounts that go into a lot more detail than I have in the past. I recommend @yaz-the-spaz​ and @somewhereisaplacethatziamknow​ off the top of my head. But I hope no one goes over there to be rude and disrespectful, because honestly, what’s the point? If you’re trying to change someone’s mind, you’re not going to do it by insulting them and not bringing anything of substance to the conversation. If you ask politely, I would be more than happy to answer, as I am doing here. 

As for your point in regards to how I can look up to someone who would part take in such a stunt I have two responses; he doesn’t like doing it, and he doesn’t have a choice in the matter - that’s just how the industry works. If you look at all the times the paparazzi have “caught” (take this however you want) them leaving that NY apartment. Zayn, and sometimes even Gigi, don’t look like the happy, loved up couple all the articles claim them to be:

Remember, this was after they’ve reconciled, and yet he doesn’t look interested her in the slightest.

Even if you think they were an actual couple, this would be an incredibly toxic relationship. They have “broken up and got back together” how many times now? (legitimate question, I have lost count). They paint the narrative like Zayn riddled with mental health problems and Gigi is the only one that can save him, but sometimes, it just gets too much for her:

You could make the claim that this quote is made up, but then I could argue the very same thing about every quote ever made about their relationship. Why would you want to support a couple if this is the way they are portrayed?

And then “Zayn” tweets this when Gigi is rumoured to be dating someone else:

“When lord knows I don’t deserve it” What the hell is that supposed to mean? It’s just honestly so fucking gross no matter which way you look at it. 

As for your question as to why she would have a baby for PR, look at the amount of attention she has gotten over these pregnancy rumours just in the last few days. Imagine if she would begin talking about it all of the time, all the promotional deals she could get. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was tired of modelling and ends up doing YouTube or something full time. 

There is a lot of things that don’t add up with this pregnancy nonsense. Like the fact that she isn’t showing at all despite the fact that, going by the timeline, she is five months along. Not only would she have gotten pregnant immediately after after they apparently rekindled their relationship (which, with her Hashimoto’s disease is incredibly unlikely), but she doesn’t look pregnant in the slightest. That baby is five months along, and is almost completely formed, organs and all. The baby is the size of a mango, and yet her stomach has remained flat this entire time? No growth at all?:

That, and her own father called it gossip. If she has been pregnant for five months at this point, shouldn’t he know that his daughter is pregnant with his first grandchild?

And I will give it to you that she might be drinking decaf, but how about recording yourself horse riding? Not only that, but horse riding in general while you are pregnant is incredibly dangerous to both the baby and the mother’s health:

But as your pregnancy progresses, the risk of serious injury – to you and your baby – increases. If you get thrown from or kicked by a horse after your first trimester, once the baby has moved higher up in the abdomen, there’s little to protect the baby from harm.

What’s more, the jostling motion of horseback riding can increase your risk of placental abruption, a serious pregnancy complication in which the placenta separates from the uterus.

What’s more, is she apparently has Hashimoto’s disease, which makes it incredibly hard to get pregnant in the first place, and can increase the likelihood of a miscarriage. Why would she even want to risk it, given the fact that she already has a high risk pregnancy during a pandemic where healthcare is limited, the likelihood of her getting pregnant is low, and she increases the risk by not even paying attention to the task, but record herself doing so? It doesn’t make a shred of sense. 

There’s so much to this narrative that doesn’t add up. 

Again, I appreciate the civility, and I like being challenged, it gives me a good opportunity to back up my beliefs in evidence, which I believe to be incredibly important.  So if anyone has any other questions feel free to DM or send me an ask.

Louis frowns. “What do you mean, love?”

“Can I - Can I please come and stay with you?” It’s barely more than a whisper, and Louis honestly isn’t sure if he’s heard it right, but the lack of an immediate response on his part makes Zayn’s breath come out all shaky and Louis won’t stand for that.

“Yes,” he decides, repeats it, in a softer but no less certain voice, when he knows Zayn is about to protest. “Yes. Of course. I’ll be there, yeah? I’ll come pick you up. When will you get here? What airport?”

The bronze key looks innocuous, but Liam knows better. He’s grown up with the stories, as many people have. Has been told about the keys, and that most people except for an unlucky few got one at birth. Some were immediately gifted to them by their parents, others had been kept away from them until such a time that they were deemed responsible enough to understand what it meant.

Because this kind of key, it doesn’t just open any door.

It reveals what you need most, when you need it most, and it can only be used once.

The first reports are dismissed, as tall tales or folklore. As mental illness, poor Bathilda, she’d gone loopy. As people simply getting scared in the dark woods and seeing things, making things up. Magic isn’t real. Mythological creatures aren't real.

But then the first one is caught. A faun, that little Meg from around the corner swears has attacked her in the woods, and everyone comes to the marketplace to see the faun be hanged for its crimes. Louis doesn’t want to go, but at the same time, he finds himself unable to stay away. Not when this proves what he’s wanted to believe all along, that magic is real.

Louis is twenty when he starts working at the prison. His fascination for supernatural creatures had turned into something most closely resembling loathing over the years, due to the many stories of their evildoing, and although he still doesn’t believe in hanging them for their crimes, he does believe in keeping the town safe. In making sure that his siblings get to grow up without fear of being kidnapped or hurt. As the oldest son, it feels like his duty to make sure that no creature in the wide area will ever pose a threat to anyone.

He scrapes the plates clean, resists the urge to kick the trash can, his breathing still feeling shallow and high in his chest. He wants a cigarette. And a cuddle from Louis. But a text is the most he can realistically ask for now, and luckily Louis doesn’t leave him hanging.

Louis: ?????

Okay, so it isn’t that helpful, but Zayn knows his anxiety well enough that just distracting his mind is usually enough to keep from having an actual attack. It doesn’t matter that the subject he’s discussing is the one thing his brain is actually panicking about, just trying to formulate words into a text is helping.

Zayn: I served him raw chicken. RAW. And he was kind enough to want to try and eat it too. I could have killed him!!!

It’s small, barely noticeable unless you’re paying attention, just tucked away as though it’s been left there for Louis to find.

Because Harry Styles is -- he’s next level kind of famous. Louis has two million subscribers on his YouTube, but Harry has eighteen times as many followers on his Twitter alone. He’s had three number one hits in the last year, and his last album had charted at the top spot for a record breaking 27 weeks. He’s a singer, actor and philanthropist, and there is no way in hell that Louis can get him to come meet Daisy for Christmas.

So of course he laughs, even if it’s a little bit breathless, and nods at her. “One Harry Styles for Christmas, coming right up.”

Do you think racism is a factor in Larry getting more attention than ziam(I have not been in this fandom since the starting so I'm having my doubts in this matter).It now feels like 1D=H&L even though L&Z have been just as loud and have contributed just as much. I see woke people dismiss Zayn's struggle and talent while being sympathetic towards others for the same. He might have had more obstacles because he is a part of LGBTQ+ community and a poc. Sorry if it doesn't make much sense.

Hello! It does make sense! Too much sense. And yeah, I do think racism is absolutely a factor, not only with Larries, but with Zayn’s entire experience with the 1d fandom. (I mean, there are people who ship Ziam who are guilty of it too.) We’ve seen the double standards constantly, whether it’s drug use or mental health struggles or charting success or the way he spends his free time, Zayn is always the villain while the others are victims, but the gag is they’re all in the same story.

In terms of Ziam, the biggest arguments I’ve seen is either: Zayn and Liam were just friends with benefits which......why. If you’ve noticed them enough to believe they’d hook up, what is it about their interactions that would make someone think they couldn’t be committed to each other? For me, it just goes hand in hand with how the fandom has over-sexualized Zayn, a brown man, and that stems from harmful stereotypes. There’s also the very popular: Zayn can’t be queer because of his religion. Pretty sure that’s not how sexuality works which seems to make sense when it’s about any other culture but Zayn’s?? 

I guess one of the most frustrating things to me is watching a group that claims to be progressive just outright dismiss someone based on bias. (And the way some people have embraced Gigi, to the point of defending her, when if Eleanor or Camille or whoever had done anything she’s done in the past they would’ve been dragged to hell and back, is pretty gross tbh lmao.) I’m not saying if you don’t believe in Ziam, you’re racist. But I do wish the people who have these preset notions of Zayn, as an individual in general, would reflect on the reasons why and where those ideas came from. xx
