I FINALLY MOVED OUT TO A NEW PLACE!!!

i'm absolutely exhausted and i still need to unpack so many things and i still need to buy a proper desk and restock my groceries & supplies and a do a whole lot of other things BUT i'm hoping to get settled in soon so i can get back to the creative endeavors™️✨

#rin rambles #i dont want to bog this with negativity but i do want to share stuff so imma do it in a way that makes me look forward and not backwards #honestly this wasn't the place that i actually wanted and got excited for several months ago #i had to make adjustments because unfortunately the landlord was a huge red flag and i decided i didn't want to sign #and sure enough she never returned my security deposit of 1.5months until this day despite saying she would every day for like a whole mont #and though it is hard and devastating i don't want to potentially sabotage my own future so i've decided to not take any legal action #i just hope. that that money can be of use to her in some way. get her out of a tough spot perhaps #it was a struggle to get to this point of actually feeling fine letting go without breaking down but!!! it's fine. i'm fine #and karma will find a way if it was truly done out of purely malicious intention!#i'm closing that book and stowing it away lovingly into a shelf because if anything it was. a powerful lesson.#as much as it sucks. never. ever. trust a person when it comes to business or transactions. no matter how 'put together' they seem #always have everything on paper and never EVER pay something until they demonstrate that they can be trusted #anyway #the people helping me move today were super friendly and nice and it made my day!!#and so far i love love love the privacy so much. a bathroom all to myself? a kitchen countertop?? for myself??? that's so crazy #i had to battle thru cobwebs and (fored to) cured my arachnophobia by force /j #and there was a power trip unfortunately but overall everything seems nice! i would have liked having the room on a higher floor but ah wel #ough my back........... _(;3」 z)_

IDK if you guys have felt my absence as much as I have for the past month-ish, but I have enough energy to update you now. TL;DR the townhouse I was renting gave my roommate mold poisoning and sent her to the hospital twice, the property managers refused to acknowledge that our (very expensive) mold report did indeed say the phrase (verbatim) “samples confirmed mold spore contamination,” and therefore we had to follow the law and issue a 7-day notice that if they didn’t remediate all problems we were terminating the lease for untenatability.

Which meant we had to find a new place and move within less than 7 days. That was thankfully accomplished last week. I’m so fucking tired and I don’t even know if we’ll be going to court yet.

#do we deserve damages? yes #is it worth the legal cost? probably not #if they leave us alone and return my deposit we’ll let it go #if not I swear to god I will BANKRUPT myself to get every single cent out of them #anyway that’s all. I will now begin to return to normal operations.#Aimee shush #also shout out to Zack the mold guy who is the best person on the whole planet #also had an uncanny physical and personality resemblance to Zack Fair

#wolves #screenshots #the long dark #mystery lake #every region I go into I pick one location to be my ''home base'' for that region.#like a base camp to which I return after visiting and looting other places in the region #I centralize most of my key items there but I scatter things across the map as well in case of emergency #like I leave fire supplies and water (and raw meat + fresh hides if I have them) in every cave #I'll distribute extras of key supplies and tools too #I always keep a knife a hatchet and a prybar on me. I like to have 1x extra each at my home camp #and I'll deposit additional ones around other buildings in the map; trying to put a fair bit of distance between each #methinks this is a common playstyle #but what I think might be a little (?) less common is my decoration! I like to pretty up my home bases for a little ✨aesthetic✨#I think that because walkthroughs/streams/clips/let's plays/tutorials give me the impression that the player base is largely cis men #and I . hold a stereotype that cis men wouldn't care to do that / wouldn't think to / might even think it's a waste of time #on a majority basis #but really I have no idea.

just got trapped in conversation (strong word) with my landlord and her sister and it was normal for about a minute and a half and then they fully started preaching at me for probably the better part of ten minutes and then they asked what i was going to do this afternoon and i said oh i'm going to try and see a movie and they're like what movie and i was like. the new alien. 🧍🏻 then they called the alien movies "gore" which is not correct but tracks for people who think it's fine and normal to preach at people they just met for ten minutes

I am once again failing the hidden social test with no correct answer, which is, “this person is mad because I’m not visibly upset and I’m staying calm and even good-natured while talking to them.” Like… do you want me to be getting mad at you in return? #my roommate is tweaking bc the landlord is doing inspections this Friday and we have 2 cats when we’re only supposed to have 1 #and also she wants everything to be perfect and clean so she can get her deposit back. which.#1) you get that when you move out. I don’t think a messy kitchen table is going to give us marks against that while we’re living here.#2) you have drilled Several decorations into the wall that the inspector will see. you’ll lose your deposit for that first #‘I’m trying to get you to understand how important this is-‘ ok? I do? I have solutions to the problems.
