ANYWAY, technically none of them are *my* poor little meow meow blorbos because I’m the Dungeon Master!! But I am genuinely obsessed with all of them

@haaawaiianshirt plays Delilah, an aasimar path of the beast barbarian. She was born and raised in a religious commune type situation before running away after being responsible for the death of a friend, and then being adopted by a sheriff in a small town. She later became his deputy, but they can’t outrun their past. The god this commune worshipped, Omen, is reaching out, and it seems he has some sort of plan for her that she does NOT want to be a part of. They’re also reflavored so that their path of the beast forms aren’t tail, claws, whatever, it’s cherub, seraphim, and throne form!! Which we got to work on together and I think it’s really cool. Emmie jokes I have shared custody of Delilah hehe, and I’ve probably done the most writing for her thus far

@suwunnysideup is playing Belladonna, a reborn tiefling grave cleric (with a bonus level in fighter!)!! They were raised from death by an evil cult called the Order of the Rotting Eye, which serves a rival god to Omen called Char’gothikon. Their past is intrinsically linked to Delilah’s, but both characters are still figuring out how. She’s recent been revealed to have more than one soul piloting their body, and are under the influence of something dark. They are currently trying to rescue their wife, Aasharni, from the clutches of the Order, who are demanding powerful Relics in return. She is also a werewolf, as of session two! They are the sweetest ever. They’re also 7 feet tall and we’re all really normal about it

@daughterofdrearburh is Nora Elliot, a rough around the edges “human” (werecoyote) ranger!! Her specific subclass has yet to be revealed in game, but she has abilities somehow related to other dimensions. A group called the Horizon Walkers, also servants of Omen, have made their connection to her known, and are seemingly trying to recruit her. She’s a terrible little beast and we all love her so dearly. She’s best friends with Morgan, and grew up in the same town as Delilah, but she can be a little aloof. She doesn’t like to trust people, and recently got shot by Morgan (under a vampiric charm) and lost the one bit of trust she had placed in anyone. Also she died and came back with black eyes but that went away so I’m sure it’s fine

@ninthhousesteel is playing Ruewen Simber, another normal human!! She’s a fighter, champion archetype, only she somehow has access to spare the dying and was able to use a scroll, despite “not being a spellcaster.” She was a socially awkward farm girl who didn’t even believe in monsters before joining the group and quickly having to confront that fact. She discovered a not at all cursed sword that was later revealed to in some way be connected to Char’gothikon. Also, she died in one session, but returned without the help of revivify—but with dark veiny scarring across her shoulder that appears to be spreading…

@candle-lion plays everyone’s favorite unethical evil lesbian, Doctor Morgan Lancaster. She’s a doctor who Jekyll and Hyde’d herself. She’s a “shifter” circle of the moon druid with a few levels in artificer. She was a doctor in a town called Dusty Springs, which was terrorized by vampires from a coven called the Onyx Eye Coven for many years. She has a HUGE vendetta against vampires, and is damn determined to exterminate every single one she sees. In an effort to become stronger and protect people, she made an experimental serum, which turned her into a monster. During times of stress, at will, or occasionally at random, she transforms into a “bad taxidermy wolf monster” but apparently mostly maintains control. She’s looking for a cure for herself, and recently discovered she too is somehow connected to Char’gothikon.

@lavenderlevetan is a petty vampire and we fucking love her. Seraphina is a half elf now vampire and she’s a fighter as well!! She has canonically killed 1000+ people over 20 years of being a vampire!! But she specifically chooses to go after bounties, and specifically those that list “wanted dead or alive.” She’s actually the nicest person ever until you (Morgan) give her a reason to be petty. She’s also the most charming of the group and her expertise in persuasion has made her mvp of multiple sessions. She was dragged into this mess while trying to find a missing person for a bounty, and thus far has yet to discover why her specifically, when it seems every other character is here for a Reason

Morgan and Seraphina hate each other and they want to kiss about it so bad. When any of us post about morphine, that’s them LMAO. Deliladonna is obviously Delilah and Belladonna. Norue are the slowest slow burn ever

And while I’m the DM and don’t have a PC, I do have a special little guy NPC that I’m a little obsessed with. Her name is Brozi and she’s a half orc way of mercy monk. She was Delilah’s best friend (and for some time, girlfriend) after the aasimar arrived in Sawtooth City and together they were the worst teenagers ever. Brozi isn’t going with the party, but she and Delilah are still very close, and their goodbye will be hard. While Delilah is gone, they get to achieve their lifelong dream of opening a bakery 🫶

In any case. Cowboy dykes. With horror. Themes of free will, losing control, found family, and learning to trust and overcome prejudice. The friendship dynamics took everyone by surprise. Belladonna and Seraphina are undead besties. Ruewen and Seraphina play go fish. Delilah and Morgan are slowly fixing each other. Nora and Morgan are also fixing each other. Morgan is super protective of Ruewen and it’s very sweet. I would die for any one of them. I’m obsessed with them a healthy amount.

ASHLEE"S LAST SUMMER IN SWYNLAKE (SUMMER MEMORIES TASK)

Family:

When I first got Ashlee, I never thought her story would be so focused on finding family and what that meant for her. Of course she always was a found family type of girl with the Ashleys, but to move on and find out that it wasn't healthy and make those steps to find the family that was meant for her is an aspect I'll always be so proud of for Ashlee. So this page is all about the family she had made, the way Simba smiles at her, the way Berlioz does. The fact their home is filled with such love that this page just radiates happiness. The pups and Juni because they are equally family and honestly who even knew Ashlee would get a pet if it wasn't for living with all the dogs in the Simber house. And of course smack dab in the middle, a picture that Ashlee would be so embarrassed by, but I like to think Simba took it and while she will pretend to be embarrassed, she remembers the love and it creates such a special moment for her that it ended up in a scrapbook.

Michael:

Ughhhh, I did not expect this one to hurt as much as it did. Michael was the perfect relationship for her. Someone so gentle and so kind. Someone with such big ambitions like herself and gosh darn it, she really did deserve this happiness before she left and that makes me so happy. Even if the ending was sad she would do it all over again because the heartbreak was worth it.

I like to think this summer they used their time wisely even before everything started to fall apart. They made moments happen although fleeting and took a number of pictures Ashlee could post on her Instagram and a lot of pictures Ashlee could just keep to herself. I love to think there's a note written from Michael that she has taped in there as well, Plus dried flowers that he had given her. This page might bring her a little heartbreak but she would have wanted to give him the proper space he deserved.

Nemo:

I originally put him with the friends but honestly, Tiny Dancers has been the biggest relationship Ashlee's had while in the group. From her first day (minus a week?) to her last, Nemo has been such a good influence in her life and it was probably one of, if not my favourite friendship to date. They went through so much and yet never for a second did I doubt they would come out of it stronger. There has always been something about Ashlee and Nemo where they were so intertwined I couldn't imagine the story I would have told without him right there.

The pictures I used were of course some of Kaycee and Sean but it's also about being passionate and just plain goofy. Nemo is one of her safe places and he's definitely seen so many embarrassing and silly moments of hers, the same way she has seen him be silly and loved it about him.

Friends:

A couple of these are just just pictures of Ashlee's fc with her friends, but it felt important to me to show just how far she had come, from becoming friends with Ian, despite their past, or finally willing to be vulnerable with Eilonwy and to trust her, the relationships Ashlee has created in the past couple years have such a special part of my heart. Because of her past so many people had to trust her and Ashlee had to return that feeling despite how vulnerable that made her. I'm just so glad she was able to create those moments and connections

I like to think EIlonwy celebrated both Ashlee's wins of a new job and her wins of the showcase and one of these could be it. Or maybe its after the showcase and Ashlee has gotten Eilonwy flowers. Ian's is all about animals and maybe just making time for each other in anyway including stopping at his work and being introduced to the animals that are there. She definitely would have taken a pic in the moment and when he wasn't paying attention. I also include Jenny in a way to show her growth because Jenny should have caused her anxiety, Ashlee should have disliked her as a girl coming into her space that would take Simba and Berlioz's love, instead Ashlee liked her, they hung out and well that was a huge step for her.

Summer Showcase:

The Showcase is the one I had to end on, I've done endings for characters before but there's something about this showcase, leading up to it, getting it ready from just an idea that makes it so special. Including all the people that volunteered for it. While it hasn't happened in canon and I could wait to post this one but I can't hold onto this task that long and so this is me predicting the moments in it. You have Ashlee and Nemo with mics because they are leading the event and presenting people. You have the art auction and the flowers Ashlee is giving everyone. You have a moment on stage that someone snapped and Ashlee needed a picture of it.

Over all this task is about Ashlee making her last summer be the best one it can be before she leaves and taking the most pictures because she wants to remember everything.

MUN: G! To quote one of the submissions, because she’s iconic! G has jumped right in with characters to stir the pot, throw parties, and make their mark on Swynlake. We love having G and her characters around!  CHARACTER: VIDIA! Vidia was highlighted for her fairy crown plot and how it’s involved pretty much all of our fairies and beyond! I'd like a matchup please–not picky in any way. I have a perseverance soul and I can be very cuddly, but I’m okay with little contact. I have ADHD, Depression, and anxiety. I struggle with self esteem + anything social. I am a night owl and a realist who loves stars and sweets, with a dark sense of humor. Don't mind blood, hate loud noises. They're cats so they like night just as much as actual cats! They are super cuddly with their owners but can easily and always take no for an answer if you don’t want cuddles! They also don’t mind doing most of the talking in public if you want them to!

Ornate(Outer paps Lamia): These bitties love stars and the night! They don’t mind being home more often as long as they arent alone to often and can get bored a little easily too and totally get being a little forgetful!

Blue Racer(Tale sans lamia): These bitties are super laid back and are perfect for new owners/being the only bitty! They are pretty lazy and don’t mind staying home most of the time either and don’t mind if you arent the best cook, they'll eat just about anything anyway!

Argos(Tale sans Hellhound(Demon)): These bitties love cuddles and do perfectly well as the only bitty around, they like being the protector and wouldn't ever mind helping you remember things or with things like cooking or chores, and they never feel ignored when guarding so when you get busy or hyperfixate on something they will just stand guard and wont mind! But they are a bigger bitty!

Mexwing(Swap gaster butterfly): These bitties are very cuddly and always small! And with their ability to just flutter around you can just open a window on a nice day and let them play outside, and with their flight you can easily keep things for them out of the way!

Silkie(Tale sans chicken harpy): These bitties are super social and do best in groups of 3 or more but they are very easy to care for even if you get more than one! They are pretty cuddly and they don’t mind being dyed so you can easily make them super colorful!

Simber(Fankid type: Normal sans x Normal Grillby): These bitties are laid back and pretty blunt, meaning you never have to worry about not knowing what they mean! They love to cook and bake and would love to help in the kitchen! They can easily remember recipes perfectly by heart!

Eevee(Pokebitty): Eevee bitties are super affectionate and love to spend time with their owners doing anything and everything! They also wouldn't mind entertaining themselves for awhile if you're busy! They do need at least one other bitty around but a pair of Eevee's will divide and concur! And the things they will be trying to concur will be your self esteem issues and anything else! Even if they can only help for a little while they count it as a win!

They arent super strict about their schedules and don’t mind keeping it loose, they can also help you clean, they can get overstimulated by loud noises but having a Sun bitty around can help them and the Sun! They will also both help you the best they can! They also don’t mind entertaining themselves while you're busy of course!

Regius(Soft au JTK lamia): These bitties can be a little skittish and get spooked by loud noises(even something like a sneeze) but are very cuddly and despite being a Jeff the killer type they hate fighting and would much rather talk it out!

Ben(Normal Ben Drowned bitty): These bitties, of course, love video games! And are known for getting very easily distracted by their games, so can easily keep themselves busy for hours on end! They aren't very loud but arent as spooked by loud noises either,

Virid(Izuku Midoriya lamia): These bitties are note takers, and can easily help you take notes on anything you want! From recipes to things for school to hype fixations and more! They are also very hardworking and will do their best to help you in any way they can!

Strawberry Hill – Simber's London Residence

Overview:

Strawberry Hill is a 4 bath, 7 bedroom, 3 reception room cottage that dates to the 1400s, but was renovated in the 1700s and again in 2024 before Simber moved in. It is a historical house, so most of the renovations were done with this in mind and has an overall historical vibe to the decor. The pictures tend to swing more modern in style, because it was hard to find the right balance, but I think the dining room photo above and the kitchen give the best feeling of the overall vibe of the house.

It is located in Richmond Upon Thames, an affluent neighborhood just Southwest of London. It is a quick train ride into the city and out of the city as well.

Residents: 

Berlioz Bonfamille-Lyons, Simba Bonfamille-Lyons, Ashlee Bonfamille-Lyons (occasionally), Prince David Bowie, Queen Nina Simone, and Turtle.

Strawberry the ghost: Strawberry is the house ghost. She lived in the house before Simber and was a sorceress. She enjoys playing music and whenever parties are thrown.

**note: pictures in the aesthetic are to give an overall #feel of the house, but don’t necessarily indicate the exact furniture/decorations/floorplan. the floorplan, on the other hand is not quite to scale but i did the best i could.

The Receiving Hall

The receiving hall has a big, open, fresh feeling when you first walk in with eye-catching diamond black and white tile. They kept the vintage globe that was in the room. In the winter, there is sometimes even a fire going in the fire place. The floor does get muddy with the dogs and Simba, lol, but it is usually kept pretty tidy.

The Living Room

The living room has a cozy and colorful vibe, with lots of modern art, but also touches of classic pieces. Including Simba's djembe drums and tapestries on the walls. It is painted a nice pale green that is very bright and cheery. The feature is the large, comfy emerald couch.

The Kitchen

Big windows let in lots of light and look out over the back garden, with a door that goes out onto the small stone patio. The cabinets have a classic feel to them and are painted a nice cream. It probably has a fun, funky wallpaper. The cabinets are more modern marble.

There is a large island in the middle of the room that is an actual island and not a table (like in the picture.) There are stools on one side and this is where Simber sits to eat most of their meals when it is just them.

The Dining Room

Painted maroon with cherry wood furnishings, the dining room is more warm and intimate as opposed to the bright and airy living room, receiving hall, and kitchen. The doors to it are usually closed unless they are entertaining.

Back Garden

The back garden is remarkably large, even for the area. It is also surrounded by trees and shrubbery, giving Simber plenty of privacy. They will probably eventually put up a privacy fence as well, mostly for the dogs.

Other Rooms/Notes on Ground Floor:

The house has a nice flow to it, especially between the living room and kitchen. There are also fire places in every room that work and are used to heat the house in the winter. (Even though they also have had central heating installed.)

Simber's Room and Bathroom:

The best room in the house, of course! Their bedroom is painted a soft purple, with dark purple bedsheets on their large bed. There is a little couch and table in one corner of the room, as well as bookshelves (mostly for Ber's use.) There is also a large dog bed in the corner for the dogs. Some of Berlioz’s favorite maps are also framed and hung on the wall.

The Ballroom:

The ballroom is a room in the house that doesn't get used often, except for entertaining, or when Berlioz feels like playing the piano. But, they leave the door open because it gets great light and the dogs like to go in there to nap in the sun. It is painted a lovely baby pink. Unlike in the picture above, it probably does not have portraits hanging up--though, maybe one that Simba brought from his ancestral home.

Instead, it has some fun modern art, probably of people dancing. (Maybe one even painted by Lou?)

The Office:

This is mostly for storage--of all their records: birth certificates, marriage license, etc. Simba uses it sometimes if he has to work from home, but it doesn't get used by him much.

Other Rooms/Notes on First Floor:

There is a spare bedroom on this floor. It doesn't get used very much, because it is right next to Simber's. (And no one wants to stay there, lbr. Though, they're good and keep their hands to themselves when guests are in the house...usually.) But if they are hosting multiple people, it is the overflow.

Ashlee's Room:

Rooms and Notes on Second Floor:

The second floor, besides Ashlee's room, is all guest rooms. They are always made up and ready for someone to come stay. They each are themed by a place simber loves/has a connection to. One room is Vegas Wedding Chapel themed and features their wedding dashikis framed on the wall. Another is Paris themed. And the final one is Kenyan themed. <3

There is also a brand new bathroom, in a definite cottage core style with one of those old school sinks. It also has a claw foot tub and a standing shower.

Berlioz's Studio:

Berlioz’s study is a warm and cozy space with organized clutter. The walls are painted charcoal grey, so it’s quite dark in there, but it also has a plush, cozy couch you can fall into. There’s a separate recording booth, and then a desk with his computer on it and a mixing board. He’s got several guitars and a keyboard in there as a well. Various records are hung up kinda like art. 

The Game Room:

The game room is right at the bottom of the stairs. There is a large TV for playing games, as well as several gaming consoles. (Rich boys life.) There are vintage arcade games and a fully stocked snack bar.

Other Rooms/Notes on the Cellar:

The bathroom for the ground floor is down here. Additionally, it is where the washer/dryer is. Also, it is mostly storage.

Oh man I have a lot of favorite characters and I’m pretty sure y’all can guess who’s on the top of the list

5. This one’s gonna go to Ealrin Belouve (Legends of Gilia). Could have been Elise, his sister, but we didn’t see much of her to get her full character so that’s sad. But he’s surprisingly understanding to people who do him wrong which is better than I can do. Seeing him go dad-mode on Blume is cute and that one plot twist later on in the books is absolutely hilarious especially if you look at his personality.

4. Aaron Envelar (The Seven Virtues). I actually wrote an entire essay once for a class about him, and I’m actually proud that I got a 100 on that (I still have that essay too) He’s the “cold and uncaring character that’s too afraid to show that he actually does care.” He’s sarcastic and simply does not care what you think of him and I love that.

3. Mmm, I’m gonna go with Sharn (Deltora Quest). Maybe she’s up higher than this but she’s also a pretty new character to me, but I still love her. Yeeting a man out of a tower window? Her and Halt would get along great. I love her for actually seeing the truth of things in the beginning and taking Jarred’s side against her husband, because in the famous words of both of them, NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE RULE. Anyways, stan her <3

2. Simber (The Unwanteds). That little thing where he’s kinda sarcastic with the “nap, schmap” and the “glitch, schmitch” is absolutely hilarious. And obviously I love seeing the grumpy character trope, and Sim’s overall just amazing. (I would also probably put Clive here, too, and yes, I am well aware that Clive is a literal blackboard).

This felt like a good place to start! It literally starts with telling someone to go pack lol. And it’s all about leaving behind expectations for you and pursuing adventure, using a sort of apocalypse motif. Felt very fitting.

Now THAT’S what I call a train song!!! Hell yeah!! I love the nostalgia for this song and its sort of nursery rhyme quality. It sounds like the kind of thing you play on the harmonica while you ride the rails. Good stuff.

3. Hard Travelin’ by Mandolin Orange

Can you tell I’m listening to one artist and one artist only during this AU lol. But yeah I think this song is all about how lonely life on the road can be, and ya know I thiiink our lil gang of rebels will be okay (looking at you, Selene/Sol and Kitsune/Siren 😉And we all know this is classic Simber). But it’s just a vibe and I bet some people ARE lonely in the legion!!!

Alright this isn’t really PLOT relevant but you can’t have a road trip playlist without this song. Like King of the Road, it’s a real harmonica on the railroad type song. And it’s got a hopeful quality that I think is important!

This song is just silly and fun. I hope everyone sings along on the ride to Enchantra. Love the vibe of just people giving each other rides across the country to seek adventure.

I love this song for a road trip. It’s got everything: long, rambling guitar solos and lyrics about being on the run from the law and a very long story about various towns. I think being in the Legion can feel like that, after many years. Being on the run in general. A loooong strange trip.

This song to me is for all the rich kids/Capitol kids/Career district kids who defected. And might feel a little in over their heads. They feel idealistic about joining the cause, but they have no idea what real hardship is like. How DOES it feel???!

I just thought after Bob’s angry rant it might be nice to have a sweet chill song about homesickness. Because that’s for real. But Enchantra might also be California. The promise of a new life and a new home. And I just love Joni’s voice in this.
