Thinking about how Mario had every logical reason to not go on the adventure to save his brother, actually. Princess Peach, a well established and powerful monarch who had just body slammed him like he was nothing, assured that she was out to stop Bowser, implying that she would be saving Luigi as well, but Mario demands to be brought along.

Peach goes further by explaining in no uncertain terms she is going up against someone unhinged and extremely dangerous– a fellow royal who has the entire Mushroom Kingdom shuddering at the mere mention of his name. Mario is not much to look at, and is utterly unfamiliar with this new world and its rules. He is a plumber, not a warrior. For all she knows, he'd be more a liability than an asset.

Mario is a little intimidated, but ultimately unswayed.

He accepts Peach's ultimatum. He puts himself through the most grueling and painful obstacle course, trying over and over all night, eating powerups to the point of vomiting, not because he's his brother's only hope... but he couldn't stand the idea of not being there when he needed him.

Because he couldn't possibly leave his sibling's safety to a stranger.

Because Luigi wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for him.

Because the sooner they were back together, the sooner they would be okay.

ok do not take this the wrong way or accuse me of pissing on the poor or anything but it’s a little odd when people complain about issues like pornbots or other sexual stuff coming up out of nowhere without warning and cite their asexuality as the reason for being annoyed. like yeah ok maybe that’s one additional issue for you but there are so many more reasons than that here and i think they should be addressed. frankly i don’t think any of us should have to live in a world where we get nonstop nsfw shoved in our faces without our consent while just trying to go about our day

Oh of course, and I have- kinda. I was in development at [big animation studio] for 2 and a half years on a show made by me and my 3 pals, Team Egg. Then a company merger happened, new CEO arrived and they wiped almost all of the shows from the development slate, including ours- despite constant overwhelmingly positive feedback on our work up to that point. Isn't that fun? :-) I might talk about it more someday but I gotta be vague just in case haha.

pardon my terrible phone camera and the bags of fabric being illuminated by the sun's heavenly glow.

i dug through my closet and found some old cosplays--princess peach and may pokemon. there used to be black lace around the bottom of may's tanktop; i must've taken it off to redo at some point and never got back to it.

also, a close up of the bow. everything here was sewn by me, except for the shorts and tanktop obviously and parts of the peach one. i bought one of those cheap halloween costumes and then modified the hell out of it. the wig is kind of coming apart from being in storage for so long, but at one point i had the heart shaped bangs perfectly styled.

if i don't get elesa finished in time for the next tournament, i'm going as may. shorts in december in texas will be fine, right?
