The beautiful Charles Orleans House at 1800 Canal Street. It was built back in 1889 for Charles Orleans, who built cemetery memorials. It was almost demolished to make way for the University Medical Center and is still at risk as the hospital expands. It seems to be safe for the time being considering that it was extensively renovated.
