I'm sorry, but that skyblock lawsuit is just plain stupid. You don't get to send someone a cease and desist lawsuit to microsoft because they marketed their maps "the original skyblock maps." Even though the term skyblock has been generalized to the point when you say "skyblock." People think "oh it's the minigame about surviving on a floating island." And not "oh the minigame created by noobcrew."
Does that mean Battle Royale movie can sue every single BR games in the existence because they use the term Battle Royale to describe their gameplay?
Oh it's not about the concept of a floating island? And you're suing because they use the term skyblock and describe it as the original skyblock?
If you really don't want them to name their marketplace maps "the original skyblock," then why in the hell do you let everyone else use the term skyblock? Why do you let other 1000 servers use the goddamn name even though you have trademark over the name skyblock? And why do you decide the one and only skyblock is enough to make you send the letters but not those who are on non bedrock edition like hypixel?
And then your post reeks of textbook "How to get everyone on your side" using the emotional terms everyone just loves like Corporate greed, posing yourself as the small independent creator that has been wronged by a greedy billionare company. Bringing up a (valid) controvery about the stolen works in the marketplace and frame yourself as equal to them, but i'm sorry? I thought it's about the name and not the content?

#nightbiking #nightbiker #biking #cycling #guccigang #頭遙又尾擺 #sky #共享單車 #noobcrew (at Wu Kai Sha) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgZ1j9QvrJ1/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

My Thoughts On: Minecraft Skyblock
"I think Skyblock, at its core, is the ultimate challenge in resource management. You spawn on a tiny island in an empty universe. All you have is a tree, some supplies, and some dirt to stand on. You have to treasure every dirt block because if one falls into the void, there’s no way to replace it. As you carefully navigate your absurd circumstance, you gain a new appreciation for the few things you have, as you meticulously use them to their fullest effect. With nothing but some ice, lava, and saplings, you slowly transform this empty expanse into a world of your very own. Skyblock teaches us that no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem, within us resides the power to overcome these obstacles and achieve something beautiful. And one day, we’ll look back at where we started, and be amazed at how far we’ve come." - Technoblade (source)
Skyblock is a classic challenge map in Minecraft. Instead of spawning in a regular Minecraft world, you start on a small island of limited dirt blocks floating above the infinite void. You get a single oak tree, and the materials to create a simple cobblestone generator. Using these limited resources, you have to farm more trees and gather cobblestone to expand your island and bridge into the void, finding other islands and growing your collection of special items. Every time you drop something, it's gone forever. When you fall off, you permanently loose anything you had on you. Storage has never been more valuable, and now more than ever you appreciate how limited natural resources can be.
While the original Skyblock map by Noobcrew is fairly small, it spawned the idea of the floating island-based Minecraft map. Since then, it has been remade countless times, but the original project was passed from hand to hand, and currently has it's newest version for the Minecraft 1.19 update. In the most recent iterations, it is actually possible to play the entirety of the game and beat the Ender Dragon, all in Skyblock's unique setting above the void. It even has custom advancements to help you gauge your progress!
To echo Technoblade's message, Skyblock is the ultimate challenge in resource management. Everything you find must be treasured, because odds are you won't be able to find or create any more later. It is the final test of all your Minecraft skills, as you navigate your way through the empty universe you call home. Will you fall? Will you loose all your most precious resources? Or will you find a way to thrive, and eventually overcome the ultimate challenge? Only time will tell. That is entirely dependent on your dedication to try, fail, and try again.
I think the most important aspect of Skyblock is determination. (Insert obligatory Undertale reference here) When I started my Skyblock world, I accidentally fell off and lost my lava bucket THREE TIMES and had to restart THREE TIMES before I was finally able to get started. I know that's a small example, but it's like Spiderman said: The most important part is always getting back up. You might fall off and loose the most important item you ever found in your world. Do you return to the menu? Close the game? Delete Skyblock and give in? Or do you hit [Respawn] and try again? Every time you return to the world, ready to face the day's challenges and overcome your obstacles, you laugh in the face of adversity. You say "Not today, Satan!" and power through the insane circumstances you find yourself in.
I've really enjoyed my time in Skyblock, but I know that it's probably not for everyone. It can be slow, meticulous, and even tedious, but I enjoy being able to take things slow every once in a while. I enjoy games where I can grind out stats (or in this case, cobblestone), and watch as that helps me push even further beyond my previous limits. In Skyblock, you have the unique position of doing exactly what Technoblade says; you can look back at where you started, and see how far you've come. That might seem like a small thing to some of you, but to me, it's the most important part. As humans, we will never be perfect. That's a fact. However, it's all about progress, not perfection. By being able to see your improvement, both literally and metaphorically, it can help you mentally by being able to say "Ok... I guess I did something right". We have a tendency to be our own worst critics and say that we aren't any good because we don't measure up to our own standards or goals, but the fact is that a lot of the time we fail to appreciate our progress towards those goals. How will you ever be able to draw like da Vinci if you never managed to draw like Stan Lee? (For those of you who don't know, Stan Lee was a terrible artist, even if his writing was legendary. His artistic abilities never stretched beyond stick figures)
In the end, I recommend Skyblock. Even if the slow pace isn't really your favorite, the therapeutic atmosphere and the mental imagery of your own progress are universally helpful. Even if you only play a little bit here and there, every now and again, I think it's still something all of us can use. Remember that it's about progress and not perfection! You are amazing, and as your skill grows, you should slow down to look at where you started, and see how far you've come.
Thanks for reading another post! I really miss Technoblade, and while rewatching some videos I came across that Skyblock quote, and it inspired a post! I provided some source links to download Skyblock for anyone interested in trying. Rest in piece, Techno. Technoblade never dies, as long as he lives in our hearts and minds. Hope you enjoyed it, and be sure to ask questions and suggest new post ideas in my ask box! Stay safe, stay hydrated, and God bless!
~Alex
