lionel: 「 factual 」 as always, princess.
"I am known for being honest, Lionel. Shall I add 'annoying' to your title as Yvain's best friend? I did leave it out to be polite but you can be so terribly annoying!"

The theme park attraction with the funniest theming in the world is in Powerpark in Finland and it's a log flume that's themed after the 1957 film The Bridge on the River Kwai which is a movie that kids going to an amusement park will definitely know and love.

Dermot Kennedy – Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island – Chicago, IL – June 7, 2023
sonder n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own – populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines ...
It’s no huge surprise that Sonder is the name of Dermot Kennedy’s latest album and tour, because his recent Chicago show was vivid, complex, ambitious and populated by a whole crowd full of both new and old friends. His music and lyricism reach all ages and his music fosters human connection. The nearly sold-out crowd was eager for his set to start as the lights on the LED screen showed "Chi Town, you have always been good to me. You bring a certain type of energy."
The Irish singer-songwriter started with a powerful tune titled “Blossom,” the last track on the new album. This song was a message about fostering a new romantic love and the tribulations along the way. He transitioned to the energetic 2019 hit “Power Over Me.” The crowd sang and danced along to the entire tune.
Halfway through the set, Kennedy made his way to his piano. He encouraged everyone to show the lights on their phones while he gave a sermon about remembering a time in your life when everything was perfect. He wanted everyone to mentally go back to a memory that they go to when times are hard. The light was supposed to represent that memory. He had the crowd look around to see each other’s lights and to feel less alone, a common theme for the tour.
Dermot then transitioned to a ballad called “Innocence and Sadness,” a tune about savoring every moment and season of your life. There were many in the crowd crying as he fostered a safe space to feel and experience your emotions. Dermot continually stopped his set to tell stories about his experience with music to further the connection he has with his fans.
Dermot finished the evening with two of his most popular and far-reaching songs, “Outnumbered,” and his latest hit, “Something to Someone.” These songs allowed the crowd to sing at the top of their lungs. The show was overall spectacular. He demonstrated his ability to tell stories through his emotional depth, vocal range, and uncanny ability to connect with the crowd. We cannot wait to see what Dermot has in store for the future.

we've had 4+ tornados hit towns in nz over three days, what a weird outbreak. luckily no one has been killed, but homes have been destroyed and a few people injured.
a tornado in tasman, a tornado or two in auckland, a tornado in taranaki, and a tornado in kapiti coast. earlier this year there has also been two tornados in the bay of plenty (well, one was actually twin land spouts that started as water spouts, but both came to shore and ripped up some houses).
and more tornados are likely to occur in the next couple days. big thunderstorms with 3000 lightning strikes an hour have hit in the past 24 hours. more upcoming for the next few days, including MORE flooding risk. the only lucky thing is that because supercells are rare here, most tornados are not from supercells, but from a basic thunderstorm formation that just has an unusually strong updraft (nowhere near US level), and so they're a lot weaker than american ones, only ef 0-1. but that's still enough to kill people in its direct path.

lionel vc: nah, kay's got some issues. it's hilarious however that you think that dinadan is sane when he's being friends with tristan and some forgotten knight nobody, so he's off his rocker too.
"Who doesn't have issues among us, Prince Lionel? And, setting aside Dinadan's terrible taste in friends with Tristan, he's rather sane I must say. If not him then I volunteer Lord Palamedes. I refuse to be the only sane one with all of you boneheads."

Pier by Northerly Island and Other Poems
By Arsh Siddiqui
Pier by Northerly Island
The lucky ones could see it clearly long ago
A viridian grass carpets the murky lake bottom
Leafy and bushy vines stretch to the surface
A foggy blue glass seals all below from the lake breeze
Debris lines the rim and top of the glass
Flecks of white and thin brown sticks rest above
The further you look the more the glass hides the green
It shimmers and…
