Depressing game time continues! This time: Hellblade...and oh boy...holy fuck. I just played about an hour and I already fell TOTALLY in love with it! The thick, depressing athmosphere, the story so far, the sound effects (which emulate the voices in her head - they are all over the place stereo-wise), the voice acting and the whole concept of the game. The fact that they had a freaking MENTAL HEALTH ADVISOR. The absolutely amazing photo mode, which I will totally use all the time, because she has GLORIOUS dreadlocks! And a nice bonus: The game centers around North mythology, which makes it extra special and interesting! Review - Valkyrie Rising by Ingrid Paulson Ellie needs to get out from under her brother Graham’s shadow. Graham is so popular that Ellie is lonely, she’s also a little in love with her brother Tuck’s best friend. Ellie’s going to Iceland to her grandmother’s where Tuck and Graham are going to join her. I loved this book, I have always been fascinated by the Valkyries, these strong and independent women. Ellie is a young girl who arrives in Iceland with the intention of having fun and enjoying her holiday. She will soon become disenchanted and learn a lot about herself and her grandmother. I loved the time between Ellie and Tuck. They’re both so cute. You can tell they’re attracted to each other, but the fact that Graham is Tuck’s best friend kind of blocks him out. The mood of this book is really great. Tuck’s a nice guy, he’s also hiding his own secrets but he really likes Graham and Ellie. He’ll help Ellie save Graham. Another character I liked is Loki, and yes, the same one as in the mythology.
