6th May 2020 // The Crown Princess couple of Sweden had a video call with their Norwegian counterparts. According to the Court, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit had been due to undertake a visit to Sweden this week which has been postponed due to COVID-19. Instead the two couples - who are relatives and long time friends - met virtually to discuss the pandemic and their hope for a speedy reunion

omg!! i just got here after a week and i've got to see new photographs of victoria & daniel and wow they look stunning 🤩 can't believe it's been 10 years since they got married tho!

I hadn’t expected big, fancy photos because of the current situation so I’m surprised but they look amazing and happy! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since they got married. Part of me feels like it’s been five minutes and part of me thinks it’s been 20 years as they have been together as a couple for that long

you did the top least favourite but would you also do the top 10 favourite wedding tiaras?

I’ve started trying to put together a favorite wedding tiaras list and I have about a million so I’ll keep trying to narrow that down.  In the meantime, I have a top ten of a certain type of bridal tiara ready for tomorrow.

If anyone else wants to do a favorite/least favorite list of royal wedding tiaras, @gabriellademonaco has an ongoing series on them here that’s very helpful.

Yes, I was living at school and had to move home early so I miss seeing my friends and just going out around campus so much.

- Probably a mermaid. I studied greek mythology and literature at high school and I've been always fascinating by the magic world of sirens and their power. I know in the greek literature there's a difference between sirens and mermaids actually (If I'm not wrong) but today they are often mixed together, however I read a lot about them when I studied The Odyssey. I also would like to be a UNICORN, because I love unicorns lol.

😻Describe the sweetest moment you have had with a pet.

-Ahh there are so many...I just love everytime I say with a very stupid voice "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, you so cuteee, little kiss?!!!", and he leans in to me to give me a kiss

-Sincere, loyal, honest, educated, sweet I guess lol...

A Norwegian angel in the fandom? It’s more likely than you think, says Darya (@norwegianroyalfamily @swedishroyals)

I’m starting to think I just don’t know who runs which blog because I also had no idea both of these blogs were run by the same person, as well as @royalcouples which I didn’t technically include because it’s dormant. Darya gives me my NRF kick when I need it. Her blog is full of beautiful edits of the Norwegian and Swedish royals and she always reblogs the best of the best. Most importantly, Darya is willing to help people if they ask!

Royal Connections: Duchess of Cambridge

Part of royal life is connecting with members of other royal families. Let’s take a look at the Duchess of Cambridge’s meetings with other members of royal families. 

1. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark

The pair have officially met twice (in 2011 and 2016) but seem to be happy in each other’s company. Both are ‘commoners’ who married into royal families and both have a similar sense of style. 

2. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, attended the wedding of the Cambridges back in 2011. Since then William and Kate have undertaken an official tour of Sweden in 2018 where the two couples spent two days on engagements with each other. 

3. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Crown Princess Mette Marit

In 2018, William and Kate met with Norwegian royals on their tour of Norway and Sweden. 

4. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Maxima

Queen Maxima attended Catherine’s wedding to Prince William in 2011. The pair then met again in 2015. 

5. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Mathilde

Queen Mathilde also attended the 2011 royal wedding. The pair have also met on a number of occasions to commemorate World War I battles. 

6. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg

The pair have met once when Catherine went on a solo tour of Luxembourg in 2017.
