An instructor accused students of using chatGPT to write their papers after 'detecting' this by.... pasting their papers into chatGPT and asking it if it wrote them. So that's going great.
#I volunteered to be on a college taskforce about this bc although my knowledge is limited#I fear it is probably greater than many of my colleagues#and I want to make sure stuff about intellectual property and algorithmic bias get into the conversation#and ALSO biases in how this kind of stuff is enforced#which students are you looking at and saying 'hm I don't BELIEVE you could write this well on your own.#you MUST have had help'#not a good road to go down

Updates might have to slow down a bit though, I do all the writing, drawing, coloring- the whole process is me! And doing as much as I've done for the last month has been a bit insane so I'm trying to have a better comic/life balance. That, and work balance. Comics are my passion but they unfortunately do not pay my mortgage!

on a real note i mostly worry about how this will impact his ability to form connections and make relationships with other people. like imagine feeling too cautious to go near non-ccs because oh god what if theyre a secret fan or what if they put something online and ‘expose’ me. but then u can’t go near fellow cc’s either because you cannot tell who has genuine intentions and who just wants to fuck you over later down the line. and none of this is even shit fans like me should even be thinking about i cannot stress enough how none of this should’ve been public and i feel so fucking bad for him that he’s had to be so publicly vulnerable after being so private his whole career.

Fenris scarf! (ID in alt)
Crocheted acrylic yarn, embroidered with glow in the dark yarn (which is, in fact, something that exists!) It measures ~6'8" (about 2m) without the tassels and is 7" (~17cm) wide at the widest point.
The embroidered parts took about five hours to finish, which was far faster than I was expecting. I drew the tattoo design on with chalk markers (the kind you use for windows), embroidered over it, and then washed it out (thanks again to everyone who helped with references!) Highly recommend this method if you try anything similar. This was a really cool project! I learned a lot of things from it, most importantly the dragon scale stitch I used for the bottom of the black section. I think I will be doing Leliana or Morrigan next c:

Like, not to harp on this, but just because you don't see the "value" in a piece of art or don't think it's "technically beautiful enough" to be acclaimed or don't want to interact with it because the function it's serving isn't something you're interested in doesn't mean that it just. Doesn't deserve to exist.

Though the people we used also give you relative links, and there’s a dog which has low genetic match but high breed match (so they’re not directly related but their root breeds are very similar) and damn true. Roch even does the ear thing.
#rescue pup#he’s still way too scared of the outside#is pretty damn good for a puppy inside the home#but he’s scared of and panic barks at anything so easily outside#not a surprise now - that’s a lot of guard dog in him#and the problem is he’s triggered from ok to overflowing#in about a second#no steps between 30%-99%#he’s /used/ to panicking if that makes sense#his brain knows those pathways well so defaults to them#like a human with a panic disorder#but unlike a human he can’t do talking therapy#(we’d probably be fine if our road wasn’t so travelled)#(and our garden connected straight to the house)#(rather than going out and then down an alleyway to it)#(but we’ve got what we’ve got)#(so trial and error and training methods with his behaviourist)

ok yeah, I'm willing to put Young Royals up as one of, if not the best teen drama ever written
and not just writing! cinematography, costumes, music, performances! this show truly is a masterpiece

Took the beautiful miss Molly moo out for her first time at pony club today!! VERY brave girl going down Marshland Rd at 3pm traffic (with a VERY unhelpful Gem 😂), only had to stop and look a couple times and she was good as gold! Let herself down a bit having a wobble in the yards when Gem left to go in the ring next door but settled herself down for the rest of the time and didn’t put a foot wrong after that! Even walked the cross country course and had a dip in the water jump, walked over some logs and chilled out in the show jumps while mum had a ride on Gem 🤩
Got one test for Pegasus Cup nailed, now to learn the other one in less than a week! 🤞
Who is this strange person who actually enjoys dressage, old Emily swore she’d never do it because it was boring!! 😬😂

i think one of the main things i've always loved about singers is the way they can just let go and sing as loud as they want and you can hear it in their voice, how unhindered they are and how much practice it must have taken to get to be able to control their voice like that
meanwhile i am one of the quietest people on earth that struggles to speak up to a hearable volume, or sometimes can't speak at all, even if i really want to
and hearing them be able to do that, inside it makes me kind of feel how they must feel, what kind of release that must be to just let all of that out
i always feel some kind of second-hand feeling from it in my chest when i hear them do it and it makes me want to do it too
#me#i have to learn how to unblock whatever it is that keeps me from letting go#it's not about me wanting to learn to sing or anything#(although i wouldn't complain about it if i did)#i just want to figure out how to stop holding myself back from everything#this is from one of the fears i still have and don't know how to get rid of yet#i have to look into that one a little more#or a lot more#but i have gotten a little better about speaking over time and especially now with RUSS'S HELP#i love him#but anyway#i still need a lot of work#it never ends#but it does always feel good looking back and seeing how far i've come years down the road#and then figuring out what i need to do for the future#something to move towards
