At a little over 8 minutes from the end there's a segment with Michael Palin talking about history, Monty Python, and other assorted things to mark the Missing, Believed Wiped screening at the BFI of an episode of the recently rediscovered The Complete and Utter History of Britain series.
(At around 22 minutes from the end the program covers the architectural considerations of the newly renovated Notre Dame, if you're interested in that)

Intro to The Podcast Directory Wiki + this blog: 🪄
This is a side-blog to share podcasts that you may not have heard of before! There will be one post per day, (hence the blog name) highlighting a specific audio drama and linking to their page on the wiki. (main blog is @james-spooky)
They’ll be themed posts aside from the daily ones but it was mainly to have a fun side hobby to get the word out there about some niche podcasts! :]
The Podcast Directory Wiki has over 300 podcasts logged, categorised into many useful groups in order to effectively find ones suited to your tastes. 😋
Detailed info below on how to effectively use the wiki👇
NAVIGATION: 🧭
As said above there are many ways to navigate the wiki and find different podcasts!
Here’s the breakdown:
Masterlist: A list of every podcast logged on the wiki from A-Z 📝
Genre/Subgenre: If you only like horror podcasts or are looking for found footage, musical theatre or something more specific like a plane crash or cryptids, all can be found as categories under these pages :] 📄
Length: By either episode length or total number of episodes for the podcast. e.g. you can browse podcasts that have under 10 episodes, or 20-29 or if you don’t like long episodes you can look at podcasts exclusively that have an average runtime of 20-29 minutes etc. ⏰
Completion Status: We’ve all been there; getting sucked into a podcast only to learn that it was never finished or you have to wait months for a new episode! 💔 And a lot of the time, we love to binge a whole series in a day… With these categories, podcasts are broken down into “completed”, “incomplete” or “ongoing”; this way you can easily dodge those heartbreaks. 😉
LGBTQ Rep: Audio dramas in general are known to have a significant amount of LGBTQ Representation within their characters and storylines. Under this category, it’s broken down into specific representation such as “trans rep” or “lesbian rep”. This way if you want to find more podcasts that represent you, you can! Be mindful that “representation” differs from active protagonists and engrained storylines to side characters or smaller roles. More detailed information surrounding this should be on the individual podcasts page! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Transcripts: Sometimes it can be frustrating to find a really good podcast but there’s no transcript available! 😓 On each Podcast page it is noted whether or not transcripts are available (with a ❌/✅) or you can browse from the category “transcripts” which includes ONLY podcasts with transcripts available to avoid getting invested in ones without.
Network: If you particularly like the work of a certain podcast network, such as QCODE or RustyQuill you can use these categories to find all of their projects! 🖊️
Prominent Podcasters/Voice Actors also have pages dedicated to them with links to their imdb, itemising all the projects they’re involved in if you want to hear specifically more of your favourite actor or writer! 🎭
Randomiser: A lot of the time it can be overwhelming with all the choice! How to choose what to listen to when your “to listen list” is miles long… With the randomiser at the top of the page, it will give you a random podcast, freeing you of the weight of choice 😅 Additionally, you can randomise a genre/subgenre if you want to see what else is out there…
These are the genres/subgenres that are covered:

PAGE LAYOUT EXAMPLE:
Each page has all the information you need, website links, spotify links, transcripts, cast etc.
Spotify linked trailer/first episode to gauge whether you want to invest!
You can easily see the genres, number of episodes, seasons and whether or not it has transcripts available. Even the combined listening time of the podcast so you know what you’re getting into!
All podcast pages have every episode linked to spotify in the collapsible tables. (Logging podcasts with episodes in the hundreds was when I started to regret this decision…🧘)
Each podcast has a small section dedicated to other audio dramas which have a similar vibe so you can find more like your faves! As there are always more podcasts to add, your help or contributions are appreciated. 💪
Take this information and fuel your podcast addiction ten fold ✨👀😏

We need to talk about The Looney Tunes Show's depiction of Daffy and Porky’s friendship, cuz it’s pretty funny if not sad to watch at times
Like, Daffy never even realized how much trauma Porky caused him, but because he isn’t good at internalizing his emotions — he doesn’t let it affect his friendship with Porky. Like even tho he remembers his highschool trauma, it never affects how he treats Porky (for better or worse), and in his own weirdo way — he still holds him high enough in importance that he’ll go to him for help.
Also, Daffy not even considering Porky in his top 5 feels like a case of Daffy’s words not accurate to his actions. He goes to Porky for a lot of things. If not Bugs, he’ll take him out on a date. If not Bugs, he’ll rant off to Porky. If Bugs isn’t available, he’ll often reach out to Porky instead. Everyone else he listed is sweet, but Marvin and Peter barely interact with him, and Foghorn Leghorn probably is a father figure to him. Tina would be tied for #2 or #3.
Porky does deserve the acknowledgement from Daffy that he’s his best friend. But I also wouldn’t put it past Daffy to be kidding Porky in a cruel way when he seems to disregard him as an option in front of him. He does to Porky what og Bugs does to og him. Cycle of frequent gaslighting 😔😔😔
All in all, Best friends redux was one of a handful of episodes in tlts which I feel made significant development in addressing Daffy and Porky’s relationship, and not undermining it all throughout. It feels like one with thorough development tbh over Daffy and Bugs’ — since those two kinda flip flop between progression to regresssion to stagnation — idk, episodic shows can just be like that. These two can be nice to watch when Daffy isn’t being absolutely dickish to him, but when Daffy does pull through for him, it feels all the more rewarding. So yeah, I enjoyed their friendship here. Good stuff.
I think it’s a guilt thing Porky had over Daffy. I think he also thought Daffy knew (which to him coulda been why he was passive to Daffy being shitty to him) — cuz he mighta felt like he deserves it for the way he treated him in highschool. Idk if Porky knows Daffy only just then remembered this in the highschool reunion episode — regardless, it doesn’t change the fact that Daffy kinda uses Porky’s meekness as an advantage.
Also it’s interesting to note that between Porky and Daffy, compared to Porky and Bugs — Porky is more likely to go at odds with Bugs than with Daffy. Porky, in spite of how he generally acts, does seem to have a spine when it comes to anyone else. But with Daffy, I think it’s an emotional vulnerability for him. Something Daffy keeps taking advantage of. I like to think after Best Friends Redux, Porky would become less meek — but this show ain’t focusing on linear storytelling so… hcs away!!!
Present day thoughts:
The Looney Tunes Show kinda made everyone think Porky's a doormat submissive type, which I still get petty about. But this show was good at making unexpected development between his and Daffy's dynamic.
I think a lot of the charm of this show comes from the implied backstories of the characters, as well as the loose continuity of its episodic nature. I liked the development between Daffy and Tina's relationship, and enjoyed seeing how Daffy seemed to make strides in developing friendships with the other characters.
The Dafpork energy of this show is miniscule compared to Baffy, but the incline in their friendship beats Duck Dodgers where the opposite happens (but that's a whole 'nother ramble).

Discotek has released the anime adaptation of Riyoko Ikeda's 1974 Dear Brother with English subs. Discotek noted their license period for the title was "unusually short", and as the blu-ray is no longer sold in the Crunchyroll store, it is likely to be out-of-print indefinitely soon. [Amazon]
"It’s Nanako’s first day at Seiran Academy, a prestigious all-girl’s high school famous for its exclusive and elegant “Sorority.” Only ten members will be accepted this year, and competition is fierce! Despite seeming fairly unremarkable on the surface, Nanako is selected as a member – instantly making her a target for her jealous and angry classmates. But the bullying doesn’t stop Nanako from forming friendships with the three most popular students, and even falling in love."

What is this?? Lee actually following up on promises of posting longform writing??? I know, I'm scared too.
Last Lee Tonight (wherein Lee quotes noted political commentator Olivia Rodrigo) Season One, Episode Nine
(Original air date: 6/29/2014) Topics covered: Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, LGBT rights and discrimination in Uganda
Trigger warning: discussions of homophobia
"That is why I, personally, refuse to pay for Mennonite cabinets. Because Jason Bourne could, conceivably, beat someone to death with one of those things."
Because the last time I posted one of these reviews was (checks notes) August 2023, a brief recap of where we are in terms of the season developing is in order. Episode Eight was the first time the entire main story was put on LWT's YouTube page, after a very... scattershot approach to uploading segments onto social media. The show is also coming into its own - although the recap of the week segments are bouncing between being extremely surface-level, sometimes only one joke long, and closer to the current iteration of a small yet rigorous dive into a relevant topic for a few minutes before the main topic, the main stories are beginning to take longer form, even though they are still tied to the idea of the show being immediately relevant.
This episode is one of the few I think is, with a few exceptions, almost completely available on the LWT YouTube page worldwide. Both major segments are uploaded, as well as an extended interview segment. Looking forward, they do experiment with the idea of breaking up most of the episodes and loading them onto YouTube for the rest of season one. At least they're actually, um, loading the main parts of the episodes on YouTube from here on out. As I've said many times before, no one had any idea what kind of show LWT was supposed to be or what it would become.
Another fun fact - apparently you can no longer screenshot these episodes I bought on YouTube on my desktop with PrtSc. What the fuck. Is up. With that?! (aaaah~) Fuck you business daddy you complete sack of daddy-shaped shit. (Clearly I have my ways of getting around this, even if the screenshots seem a bit blurry to me, but... fucking hell, I'm just trying to take a screenshot OF SOMETHING I PAID FOR.)
ANYWAYS. There's an episode of LWT we're ostensibly discussing!
Our first topic is the 2014 World Cup. England has been knocked out, so the tournament is dead to John. Oh John. So innocent. So full of life. You have no clue about the shitstorm you're gonna drop on FIFA's doorstep next season.
At the World Cup, an Uruguayan player, Luis Suarez, bit an Italian player, something I totally forgot about. He also bit TWO OTHER PEOPLE. John calls the Italian player "a delicious piece of prime Italian steak" - I forgot that chaotic bisexuality has been baked into this show from day one but I love it.
(Based on the only hate comment I've ever received, I know someone will probably deign to tell me that John is not bisexual, which... I know. But the writing of this show has chaotic bisexual energy - in some seasons, like the one where John begs Adam Driver to chokeslam him into a table regularly, energy honestly isn't a strong enough word to describe whatever's going on - and I like acknowledging that element of the show.)
John mentions the week has been awash with depressing terrorism news but leads into a segment about Boko Haram being driven out of their hiding places by snakes and bees, an incredible victory for the scariest parts of nature. John is furious that scorpions have instead decided to hide in bananas in supermarkets instead of fighting terrorism. John's grin after delivering that joke is effervescent. He loves this kind of stupid, "now THAT'S a sentence"-style joke.
He's so happy y'all
We take a hard left turn into discussing Syria, and that the US is looking to send money to "appropriately vetted" rebel soldiers. The obvious question is asked - how do you vet rebel soldiers? John suggests a trade-school-style commercial to recruit potential rebel soldiers. (The offer is open to bees and snakes!) One thing I like about the early episodes that does still come through from time to time on the show are these sorts of Daily Show-style fake commercials and PSAs. They can get repetitive after seeing the segments they're covering, but there's usually some fun twists and chances for some real absurdities and escalations you can't do in the show proper.
Our first real segment follows after this, on Burwell v Hobby Lobby. You may remember this as the court case that allowed for Hobby Lobby, a crappy JoAnn's knockoff run by evangelical Christians who also stole artifacts for a bible museum, to not pay for an employee's birth control through the Affordable Care Act because it went against their religion. As a corporation. Because corporations are people now. God this country sucks.
youtube
At the time of airing, this decision hadn't been made yet by the Supreme Court, so John is going over the details of the case, including the questions at the center of it - do corporations have freedom of religion, and are corporations people? John confidently says "no" before realizing he has to actually discuss this, and I really want to live in 2014 John World. This whole segment has a lovely capper extending two ideas to their logical, absurd extremes - government cannot be an a la carte system, something John demonstrates by showing a wild variety of things people don't want to spend their taxes on which starts fairly even-keel but spirals into Fox News talking heads saying that their tax dollars are being spent on Mexican prostitutes. And on the flip-side, if corporations are people, well, people die. Amongst other things.
Something that's been a bit lost about this case in the ten years since is that a Mennonite sect that owned a kitchen cabinet making company also sued the government over providing birth control. I totally forgot about that.
Our "And Now This" segment is on politicians misusing the word 'literally'. Chris Traeger literally adored this segment. (It's short and is exactly what you'd expect. Not much to say here.)
The next segment is on LGBTQIA+ rights in Uganda. Interestingly, John introduces this segment by saying "finally tonight..." despite being only 12 minutes into a 30 minute show. Definitely had me checking the clock in confusion.
youtube
I appreciate that John opens this segment not sugarcoating anything happening to LGBTQIA+ individuals in Uganda, even before he gets into the details of the anti-gay laws there. While there's been segments prior that have been obviously extremely serious, this is the first one that feels like John is coming from a place of seriousness first, jokes second. There are plenty of jokes, yes, lots of very funny ones. But when you compare how this segment opens, with no frills or equivocating, to even the Hobby Lobby segment earlier this episode, there's a pretty obvious difference.
People really didn't know how to react to the line "the moral arc of the universe is long, and it bends away from Uganda." There's like one scattered laugh at that. I'm pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be a joke.
A lot of the details of this segment are deeply upsetting, especially post-Trump in a world where it feels like freedoms are rolling back everywhere and extremist hatemongers like Scott Lively are being treated more and more seriously. The fact that he was laughed at here in the past is refreshing, but knowing that he'd likely be a top senate candidate now is so distressing. There's a lot of things that can be seen in this show in hindsight, most of them so far more benign than this. Unfortunately, the exportation of homophobia now looks less like the death throes of a dying political position, as John posits here from 2014, and more like a big factor in sowing the seeds for this last decade's right-wing global surge.
That being said, Pepe Julian Onziema is a true portrait of grace under fire. The interview with Onziema in the show is extremely illuminating, the kind of interview that makes me wish John did more interviews. Onziema is a delight - I love his seriousness in speaking to the realities of living as an LGBT+ person in Uganda, and his bravery in fighting this fight despite the looming threat of severe prison time. Relatedly, "Sorry doesn't cut it" is such a great comeback to John apologizing for being part of two groups of people that brought this wave of homophobia to Uganda.
There is an extended interview with Onziema on YouTube that dives further into some of the specifics of certain social elements, like context into how Ugandan discourse took on elements of American homophobic talking points (like "gay people are recruiting children") and a timeline of Scott Lively's touring of Uganda. John manages to completely break him by singing part of an early hateful song about "the rainbow belonging to God" as well, which made me so happy. Turn those hateful things into ludicrously stupid ones to destroy them.
youtube
I do highly recommend watching this interview - it's one of the best things that LWT has ever done, still. This has stayed with me for 10 years.
Other notes:
Hey. Hey Lee. You gonna talk about the fit?: Yes of course I am, the meds didn't change my brain THAT much. We have a light blue shirt with a dark blue tie with lighter piping, and a gray suitjacket. This is a subdued look but I like the neutral slate color combination going on here. 8/10
I haven't mentioned the unique title cards for each episode of LWT yet, mainly because this is the first one I found really funny - it's a picture of Renaldo with the caption "Kickus Ballium". (New name for football ahoy!)
Please enjoy this incredible "I'm so smooth" looking freeze frame that I took while pausing the episode to write. So smooth.
"I've got to be honest, being British is sometimes a little like being an alcoholic. When someone says you did something awful, you find yourself going, 'Honestly, I don't even remember doing that, but yeah, probably, probably. I'm a dick, I'm a dick.'" He slipped so easily into that Ian Duncan mode for this line, I so hope he comes back for the Community movie.

List of Nickelodeon Movies productions (1996-2023)
Two weeks ago, "Good Burger 2" was released in theaters and on Paramount+ as Nickelodeon Movies' 61st theatrical film ever produced. So far, this movie is killing it at the box office and in digital rental sales. Critics even called it better than the first movie. Here’s how far Nickelodeon has come with their movie brand since the release of their first movie, "Harriet the Spy".
RELEASED
1.) "Harriet the Spy" [PG]
Theatrical Short - "Arnold" [G] (Not available on the home media releases)

Theatrical Release - February 11, 2000
Original Home Media Release - August 15, 2000 (VHS/DVD)

January 29: The Expanse 3x03
Hmmmm.
Hmmmmmmm.
I mean, at least we got some fucking exposition for once. Multiple scenes where characters actually summarized and explained things! And it was super helpful and made me feel vindicated in my continued belief that there should be way more of this.
Otherwise… okay. I’ll be honest, I noticed before I started watching that the early seasons of this show are leaving Prime in about a week and I was distracted through much of the episode with thoughts about what I’m going to do about that. I’m definitely not going to binge two episodes a day to finish the season before then. If it’s available to buy, would I spend money on this? Investigate if it’s picked up to stream elsewhere? Read summaries of the rest of this season and then go on to S4? Give up entirely? That very little in this episode distracted me from these thoughts is probably telling.
I liked the Martian bickering at the beginning, and pretty much everything with Chrisjen. Honestly proving against that she’s the character of all time and runs circles around pretty much everyone around her except, surprisingly, Bobbie. Was I supposed to think the scene between her and Naomi at the end was anything? Seemed like a clear winner to me lol.
Also I feel like whoever wrote this really hates Baltimore.
It was interesting to see Mao make this very sudden about-face from Villain Lurking in the Shadows to, I don’t know, sorta well-rounded guy with a conscience? I’m just confused because he really didn’t have personality traits before this so him suddenly being softened by interactions with the children really didn’t read like anything to me. If he’s not a villain, what’s the point of him? But I guess it was decently heartwarming and optimistic versus literally everything else.
I don’t know what we’re supposed to think of the Secretary General—possibly that he’s a good but confused man caught between two instincts helpfully represented by two opposing characters—but I think he’s a wet noodle. I have no respect for him and thus he is becoming quite irritating to me.
On a related note… I do get why a lot of people I know from t100 are into this show. It has a lot of similar themes and is, at least arguably or on the surface, much better plotted/more “serious.” But man it’s so much less fun. Also the characters are struggling to keep my attention and I’m not yet convinced that if you wrote out all the plot points of the show it would actually make sense. It’s too soon to say definitively but I suspect that the reason there’s almost no exposition is that it would make it apparent that the emperor has no clothes. At least t100 was just batshit insane and owned it. But honestly my biggest frustration with both shows is that they position themselves to tell a top up story and then instead decide to take a bottom down view, by which I mean to focus on the elites/leaders and their points of view instead of the masses or common people or the powerless. Hence why we’re hearing a story about this allegedly devastating war but the only people we ever see are the elites running it—or people so physically far outside of it that it is, to them, also only words on a page and pictures on a screen. This isn’t inherently bad but like first of all this show is at its most interesting when it’s world building among different planets, or even with the common people on Earth that we saw for about .05 seconds that one time, and second, it hooked me early on with the Belters and their society and circumstance and now it’s like Belters who? You know? I was tricked, is what I’m saying. T100 did this too but it was a little more subtle about it and also it kept some semblance of underdog-ness around its mains until about the time it started becoming unwatchable for other reasons. And again, imo the entertainment value was just higher.
Ugh. I am really becoming a hater, aren’t I? I don’t mean to. I’m just wondering when this show will stop frustrating me. I’m also done assuming I’m not smart enough for this. The emperor is not showing me his clothes!!

JANUARY 27 . 2025
Sigh.
Why?
For so many reasons. I feel it is hard to write because there is just so much going on inside my brain. I cannot think straight; It feels like someone is holding onto my brain and shaking it. I can write about all the reasons why, but I don't have the mental energy for it. To feel you require energy and nutrition and I am running low on both. I want to write and have it make sense. It may not make much sense to the scarce one or two that maybe (But probably not, honestly) read my post or my blog, but it made sense to me.
I have acquired a job that has caring people working there. I have a few peoples phone numbers and they are there for me. The catch is that they are not there for me in the way my brain thinks they are. They are not my mom, they cannot fulfill the void inside of me, they are human beings that simply "care" about my wellbeing. It is only natural (for me - because it is all I have known to do) to want to reach out to these kind human beings for support when I am struggling; And they know that I am someone with a few extra struggles. What I have noticed, though, is that people don't want to hear the negativity, the sadness and they distance themselves from me because of it. I want to note that these people are still there for me, but not in the supportive manner I want them to be for me. After realizing this, it dawned upon me that once again, I cannot share with someone what is truly going on inside of my head - because unless they are a professional, it will push them away. I am still learning and trying to get my brain to understand that talking about hard life situations and depression/suicidal thoughts is not the average conversation that people just decide to have with each other. However, I am also able to recognize that from the ages of 14 to 29 I have spent my life inside hospital walls, treatment centers, group therapy, you name it - And all of these places involved mental health and so I have to give myself a little break when it comes to getting down on myself about what I choose to talk about in a standard conversation - because my standard conversation for those years were the topic of mental health and trauma. I am trying to change this but it is difficult. If all I have known is to talk about pain for over half of my life, isn't it supposed to be hard to know what a standard conversation is or how a standard conversation would go? I think so. I have wanted to reach out to these coworkers and I have now twice and it has to stop; It will.
[TOTAL SIDENOTE: MY OLD THERAPIST IS ON THE NEWS. THE TIMING? HOW INTERESTING AND NOT IN A BAD WAY. PROPS TO YOU JEANNETTE. THANK YOU FOR TEACHING ME ABOUT MY INNER CHILD AND HOW SHE IS STILL IN NEED OF MY LOVE]
Back to what I was talking about in the paragraph before this last one, why would I reach out to them and not my professional resources?
I have phone coaching available, however, the "way it works" has changed all of a sudden (Truly) and instead of being able to count on someone to help me within' a time that one of my episodes (BPD) full on runs its' course (Between 20 to 50 minutes personally), the time allotted for a professional to get back to you is three fucking hours.
By that time (Three hours), I have already harmed myself or acted on my reason for reaching out for help in the first place. Once you have acted on a destructive behavior, the rule is you cannot receive help from those professionals for at least one day. It is almost setup for someone who is not fully skilled - to fail. It's a "Catch 22" or whatever the fuck that is called. I cannot wrap my head around this or find understanding in it, but I am choosing to accept it because I had the prior knowledge internally that "phone coaching is not permanent and it is not something that will always be there." Just having that thought before I ever utilized phone coaching has helped me to just let that help go - because it is unsafe for ME to reach out for help in an extremely vulnerable time and know it won't be hours until someone (A mental health professional) decides to call me back. To add to that, I have had almost every professional that helped me (momentarily, because all places gave up on me in fear of being a liability for my other disorder - EADIS) in 2024 tell me that once I start this "Adherent Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Program" I will have the support that I have been so desperately needing during the late afternoon/evening hours. I understand that my reaction is very all or nothing. The reason why is because I know my mental health triggers and situation very well and I know that I cannot help myself all on my own during a distressing situation if I am reaching out for help for three hours. If I could help myself fully on my own, why would I call and ask for help?
I am tired of promises being made that were never someone else' promise to make to me in the first place. I am tired of inconsistent mental health support. I am tired of being asked to trust and then in turn being given all of the reasons not to trust. I am tired of not being heard and listened to, because I'm not and I know I most definitely should be. I am tired of fighting; It's been 32 YEARS. I am tired of trying to stay alive with a brain that tells me to die and a body that listens to the defective brain. I am tired of manually trying to rewire all the wrong ways of my brain.
Did the world know that in order for me to be safe emotionally and mentally, every day beginning early afternoon I have to turn my phone off and put it in my cabinet or somewhere so out of reach that in order for me to get it, I have to climb on top of a chair or counter? Because the reminder of silence and not being responded to by text messages or emails physically aches inside of me.
Did the world know that when I am not "alone" I begin to spiral? Isn't that the opposite of what is supposed to happen? If I am getting help shouldn't I be getting better and not become so emotionally messy? That isn't how it works. You are not supposed to receive help and become worse from receiving help or support. Do you know how lonely that is? To have to be alone to remain alive? To have two people in one single week point out that the better my situation, the worse I get? That is by far the worst knowledge and intuition I have ever had about myself. Nobody wants to have to be alone.
Other vulnerabilities arising is another stressor in my life at this time. Due to my severe struggle with my EADI, coming soon next month I am almost positive I will be taken off of my Adderall cold turkey. Along with that will be Ativan and I have been taking both of these for quite a long time, now. Withdrawal with a suicidal mind and a constant unorganized brain? I don't need to tell you what might be.
If I am not alone, I am not ok.
If I am alone, I am not ok.
It is truly a loss - loss situation.
Get help, get mentally sicker.
Don't get help, get mentally sicker.
Which would you choose if you knew you would fall?

Fam, there is literally a Timeline on the wiki that explains everything.
But long explanation short:
Both AvA and AvM happen in one continuance. Both Alan and Skim confirmed this during the 30 Million Livestream. This is further supported by some key evidence: The Minecraft icon being missing from the toolbar in AvA Season 2 but being back by the time of AvA Season 3, Purple's crossover existence, none of the dates conflicting, etc.
All seasons of AvA and AvM happen "alternatively", in this order and on these dates:
AvA Season 1 [Episodes 1-4] : June 3 2006, March 15 2007, October 2 2011, October 2 2014.
AvM [Original Video] : December 15 2015
AvM Season 1 [Ep 1-14] : September 26 2017 - June 27 2018
AvA S2 [Ep 5-8] : August 18th [Happens all on one day]
AvM S2 [Ep 15-19] : February 15 2020 - September 6 2020
AvM S3 [Ep 20-30] : June 12 2021 [Happens all on one day]
AvA S3 [Ep 9-11 (Currently ongoing)] : April 29 2023 [Happens all on one day [Thus far], with the exception of AvA11 which is all flashbacks.]
AvM S4 [Ep 31-36] : May 27 2023 - April 19 2025
(The shorts also happen intermittent in all of this starting in September of 2022.)
Some videos contain dates easily seen within the video itself, but some are dated based on when they are posted to Alan's channel.
Some important notes:
>We don't have a concrete date for when Newgrounds was attacked outside of "2011", but given AvA3 only happens on October 2 of 2011, if has to be somewhere between October 2 - December 31.
>We also have no idea when Purple and his family's original animation was uploaded [aka: how much time they spent on the Outernet before the attack] nor do we know much of what happened after. All we know is that by June 27 2018, he's found his way onto a Mac computer, leaving his and his family's whereabouts from 2011-2018 unaccounted for.
>The "Cherry Blossoms" short happens on April 15th, 2023, and it is depicting Victim's Rocket Corp. They are the exact same wanted posters from AvA Ep 9 "Wanted" [Which, reminder: happens on April 20 2023.] This was an intentional teaser/foreshadowing for AvA Season 3.
>"Cherry Blossoms" is not the first time we see Rocket Corp being foreshadowed: the Rocket logo appeared on the TV in AvM Ep 30 "The King". This was also an intentional reference, bc AvA Season 3 was being worked on at the time "The King" was being produced.
>"King Orange vs The Dark Lord" happens on February 18 2023, after both AvA S2 and AvM S3 have happened, explaining how the CG knew of both of them. As for why they'd have dolls of them, it's possible that Orange could have made them for some reason. The CG don't seem to have any latent fear of the Dark Lord, if their mockery of him during Influencer Arc Ep 1 is anything to go by.
>The reason why there's not much "overlap" or reference between the two series is that Alan and the team are intentionally keeping them separate. He wants them to be two distinct series exclusive and distinct to one another, which is why there's only ever been superficial references/teasers between the two of them. It is unknown if there will ever be "further "deeper" crossover between the two [IE: Chosen or Victim showing up for cameos in AvM]
Anyway, TL,DR: The 'alternate universe' fantheory has thoroughly been debunked both by in-video evidence and by Words of Gods and the entire Timeline has been mapped out with all currently available information.
AvA and AvM are happening at the same time, sort of.
The only videos that have unknown canonicity (and thus placement in the Timeline) are the Animation vs Education videos. If they ARE canon, we don't really know where to put them right now.
I don't know if you guys believe in this theory too, but I think Animation vs Minecraft start right after Animator vs Animation
I don't know if someone also had this same theory before, but I'm saying it anyways
Why does AvM start right after AvA? I have 3 good points to keep my theory straight
1) We never see any mention of each series on the normal timeline/story, I mean about the lore exactly, until AvA 11, we can see Purple, Navy and Pink trying to escape the attack from The Dark Lord and The Chosen One, it's the only moment when we can see them in AvA

2) The "Wanted" posters on AvM shorts. During a short about Purple's life we can see a poster about The Chosen One wanted for capture, this seems out of the context of the theory, but I can only think that there are other organizations more apart from The Rocket Company of Victim (I know the poster is from his company, but just to take out that idea, maybe there are even other more people who wants to capture Chosen because of what he did of what he's been doing, that or those posters are a bit old and still haven't been token off from the streets or it's just a reference)

3) The "King Orange vs The Dark Lord" short. This can be just fan service made by Alan and his team just to be kidding with the fans, but I think it's not just that. Some people say that AvA and AvM are from a different universe, but we can still see this fake fight between them, why in the world would Green have a doll about TDL in AvM???

I'm still new on the AvA/AvM community, I need someone who can explain me this or if someone else also think this way??? I feel so confused 😵💫 am I crazy????

Seeing Red | bodyguard!Bucky Barnes x actress!reader (part 2)
(part 1)
series summary: bucky used to brag that he didn’t have a celebrity crush, or really care about famous people at all, which is what made him the perfect person to start working for a celebrity like yourself. except, of course, it’s just his luck that he’d fall for you.
word count: 3k
chapter warnings: kinda smut? (male masturbation), stalking (not bucky lol), a bit a violence, angst
It had been a month. Well, 29 days, to be exact; he’d been counting them. 29 days since he’d seen so much more than he was supposed to, and he was pretty sure you’d seen him too. 29 days of tense silence as he wondered if you were ever going to say anything about it.
It must have been that you hadn’t seen him, if you hadn’t said anything for so long. But god, it really did feel like you were looking right into his eyes as you came that night. He knew the reality was that it was a horrible mistake and he was a terrible person for looking at you like that, and that he was never going to be any closer to you than watching someone else pleasure you; he knew that truly. But regardless, that moment had been playing on repeat in his mind for 29 days.
And now, as he took his shower, he prepared to finish off day 29 and start day 30.
“Fuck,” he hissed under his breath, head falling back against the cool tile as his hand stroked slowly over his cock. He’d dreamt about you (again) and woken up so hard that it actually hurt; so this wasn’t a continuation of his perversion, or his unhealthy obsession, no, it was pain relief. It was medicine, really.
In his dream, like always, it had been him between your legs in the back of the car and not that other guy— who he’d seen on TV the other day, dying in the first five minutes of an episode of some awful CW drama, by the way. It killed him that he couldn’t know how you really taste, or how you really would sound saying his name, but the best guess of his subconscious would have to do. He tried to conjure in his mind how you sounded that night, each frame of the memory burned into his brain until it was what he saw every time it closed his eyes.
Baby.
That was what you’d said first, and it still made his heart stop every time it echoed in his head. Baby.
The word itself was sort of innocuous, but it was the way you said it— just below your breath, deep but airy— and what it meant. It was a plea: you were begging him to touch you, to make you feel good, to help you. Bucky could listen to you beg for hours, it would be like music to his ears; like poetry, even.
Later that night, when he’d given you the rest of his sandwich, he’d gotten the closest he ever would to hearing you moan his name. What you’d said originally was just ‘oh my god, Bucky, this is so good’ and it was just generic enough that he could imagine it being a little more specific. Sure, it was stupid to get off on memories of you praising a sandwich (that you ate while drunk in the shower) but it still did wonders for him as his hand pumped his length faster and faster.
Oh my god, Bucky, it feels so good— you feel so good. You’re so good. Oh my god, Bucky—
He bit down on his lip, already so close to the edge that there was no turning back, toes curling underneath the stream of hot water as his breathing moved just as quick as his thoughts— thoughts of you in the back of the car, or in the shower with your foggy silhouette just barely visible to him, or doing all sorts of things that he’d never seen you do but he’d love to pretend he had.
“Oh my god, Bucky!” you yelled as you swung open the door, a choked moan jumping out of his throat in shock as his eyes shot open, come starting to spill down over his hand.
You couldn’t see him through his shower curtain, thank all that’s holy, but it was a sort of sensory overload as he tried to process what was going on mid-orgasm.
“What?!” he yelped, voice clearly rougher but hopefully not in a way you would find suspicious.
“Come quick,” you requested.
Already did, he thought to himself with a shudder of guilt.
“What’s going on?”
“There’s somebody in the yard,” you explained frantically, “it’s probably nothing, but I don’t know how they got past the gate—”
Your mitigation was lost to him as he was already turning off the flow of water, the evidence of his misdeed already washed away, leaving only the ringing in his ears and the burning in his cheeks as reminders.
You stepped out into the hall to give him just enough privacy to slip on a robe, which he was certain he looked ridiculous in but he really had no choice. Storming out of the bathroom, he wasn’t sure he was ready to confront a potential threat while dripping wet and barefoot, but the whole point of him living here most of the week was so he could keep you safe at all times— apparently, shower time included.
“Stay inside,” he instructed you quickly, “and stay out of the line of sight of any windows and doors, got it?”
You nodded, and he could tell you were scared. He hated that you had to worry about this sort of stuff. He was glad to be there to help, yes, but he would rather this line of work didn’t need to exist at all even if it put him out of a job. You waited for him there as he pushed past you and moved through the living room, considering whether or not he should grab a weapon from the safe he kept hidden in this room— but then he glanced to his left arm, drying quicker than the rest of him, and remembered he already had a weapon.
By the time he reached the door he could hear someone shouting your name outside. As Bucky flipped on the damn-near-blinding security light on your porch and entered the yard, he saw a guy— smaller than him, but not exactly tiny— who seemed to ignore him and the light completely as he continued his desperate attempts to get your attention.
“This is private property, you need to leave,” Bucky told the man in his best ‘stern but not quite yelling’ voice.
“Is she home?” he asked him instead, totally unfazed by the warning. As the fan looked back up and called your name again, Bucky shivered with the realization that he was looking up at your bedroom window. Had he already seen you there? Or, worse, did he have some other way of knowing which window was your bedroom?
“You need to get out of here before I call the police. You’re trespassing,” Bucky continued, pushing the man back towards the gate. Sadly, Bucky knew from experience the police weren’t that concerned about celebrity stalkers— you and him had both called to no avail once they learned the name of the homeowner. It made his blood boil just to think about it.
“Hey, let go of me!” the man resisted, pushing Bucky back. He seemed to sober up a bit when Bucky’s face changed, though, but it was too late. He tried to duck but totally missed, and Bucky’s right fist made contact with his jaw. “Ow!” he screeched, cowering and trying to cover his face. “What the fuck?! That’s assault— you just assaulted me!”
“And you’re trespassing. And harassing. And probably stalking,” Bucky listed, continuing to guide the man back towards the gate. “Tell me how you got in here. Did you hop the fence?”
He couldn’t go any further back as the man was pressed back against a stone column, squirming a bit but otherwise putting up little fight— or maybe he was actually trying his best, and it was just lost on someone as strong as Bucky.
Unamused by his stammering and lack of an answer, Bucky brought his metal fist to the column right beside the man’s face, hitting hard enough to break off a sizable chunk of the stone. “Tell me!” he demanded.
“There’s a tree out back, I climbed it!” he explained with a whimper, “I’m sorry!”
“Don’t come back here, you hear me? Or this—” Bucky pointed to the dent in the column that he’d made— “will be your face!”
Letting him go and swinging open the gate a bit, the man ran away of his own volition, stumbling down the street and out of the glowing light of the streetlamps. Bucky let out a low sigh, hoping it was the last of him but terrified that it wouldn’t be. He made a mental note to call a landscaper about trimming this mysterious tree in the back, or maybe chopping it down altogether, as he made his way back inside. He found you in the living room, chewing your nails nervously and watching him step closer with wide, watery eyes.
“He’s gone,” Bucky informed you quickly.
“Thank you,” you mumbled.
“You okay?” he asked gently.
“Um, yeah,” you decided, but you didn’t seem so confident. Even so, he wasn’t sure what more he could do.
“Oh, I broke your pillar, by the way. Sorry.”
“I saw that,” you smiled a little, but he frowned.
“I told you to stay out of sight of the windows,” he reminded you.
You sighed. “I know, I know, I just…” you trailed off, lip quivering a little as you got emotional again. “I know it’s stupid but—”
“No, don’t say that,” he interjected.
“— but I was so scared,” you finished, voice wavering as you ran towards him, suddenly pulling him into a tight hug. It took him by surprise, but he figured it was okay to hug you back. He was only wearing a robe, he suddenly remembered, and your face was against the exposed portion of his bare chest. If he hadn’t gotten off just minutes ago, he certainly would’ve gotten hard just from that (embarrassingly enough).
“Hey, it’s okay,” he soothed gently, indulging himself in resting his chin on top of your head as he stroked your hair.
“Thank you,” you mumbled against his skin, pulling him even closer, “god, I don’t even know what I would’ve done if you hadn’t been here.”
A pang of guilt rattled in his chest; you trusted him so completely and he was crushing on you, spying on you (only the once, but still), taking advantage of your need for protection, staying in your guest bedroom and jerking off to you in your shower— when had he turned into an unstoppable pervert?
“Will you stay in my room tonight?” you asked him suddenly, looking up at him with those big shiny eyes and a pouty lip.
“Oh nonononono,” he shook his head, instantly recognizing that trap.
“No, Bucky, please,” you whimpered, “that guy might come back, I don’t want you all the way across the house.”
“I shouldn’t— I’d be overstepping—” he stammered.
“Please,” you sighed, and he sighed too, because when you said it like that, he couldn’t say no to you.
//
Bucky had insisted on staying on the floor as opposed to getting up on your bed, which was a drag but whatever. At least you had a lot of good spare blankets and pillows to make him a comfy-looking pallet. He seemed to agree when he appeared behind you in the doorway to find you on your knees on the floor, putting it all together.
“You didn’t need to do that, I’m pretty good at sleeping on floors as-is,” he dismissed.
“No, I’m happy to!” you beamed, turning around and choking a bit when you looked up at him in his pajamas. Even though they were still pretty conservative, specifically sweats and a scoop neck sweater-y sort of top, it was probably more than you’d ever seen of him since his uniform was very concealing. You were kind of hoping to catch a glimpse of his metal hand— you didn’t get to see it much because he wore driving gloves the vast majority of the time, and you hadn’t really been paying attention when it was exposed earlier by his just being in a robe— but he was noticeably leaning against the doorframe in such a way that you couldn’t see it. The thing that really got a reaction out of you was his dog tags, though; you’d never seen him wear them before and there was something perfect about the way the silver chain dangled over the slight peek of collarbone visible above his neckline. “Aren’t you warm wearing that much to bed?”
“No, it’s fine,” he dismissed. You hoped he wasn’t wearing more just for your benefit. Shirtlessness would’ve benefited you more, certainly. In fact, now you felt kind of bad that you were just wearing a thin, silky short-and-tank set. Hopefully it didn’t make him uncomfortable.
Getting up from the floor, you slipped under your covers and motioned for him to do the same. He turned off your lamp first, stealing your last chance at a good view of the hand, and you heard him get comfortable on the floor.
“Thank you for this,” you mumbled quickly into the darkness. “I don’t think I’d be able to fall asleep if you weren’t in here.
“Oh, of course,” he replied softly.
“Goodnight,” you whispered.
“Goodnight,” he answered back, and his low, sleepy voice was somehow both soothing and energizing.
You weren’t sure if you even tried to fall asleep, or how long you laid staring out into the void of the darkness. It was so dark in your room that you saw purple spots dancing in the corners like static as your eyes adjusted, incomprehensible shapes forming to make up for the lack of visual stimulation. You wished that there was enough ambient light to be able to see Bucky’s shape on the floor and know he was there; instead, you settled for the subtle sound of his slow breathing. When you heard him adjust slightly, you decided maybe just the breathing wasn’t enough to be sure it was really safe.
“Bucky?” you whispered under your breath. “Are you awake?”
“Yes,” he answered, making you sigh with relief.
“I can’t sleep.”
“I thought you said you wouldn’t be able to sleep if I wasn’t here.”
“But I never said you being here would make me sleep,” you pointed out.
“Then I should go,” he decided.
“No, please,” you hissed, “don’t go.”
“Okay.”
You took a deep breath. “Tell me something,” you requested.
“Tell you what?”
“I don’t know, anything.”
He paused for a moment. “Will it help you sleep?”
“Maybe,” you shrugged.
Bucky sighed, and you heard him turn on his side. “Want me to tell you a bedtime story?” he asked, sarcasm noticeable even in a whisper.
“Yes,” you announced with a smile.
“Okay,” he pondered, “um… once upon a time—”
“Good start,” you rolled your eyes.
“No interrupting!” he scolded.
“Sorry…”
“Anyways, once upon a time there was a princess, who lived in a castle in the Isle of Manhattan.”
“A castle?” you asked excitedly.
“A somewhat modest castle, but yes. One with big golden gates and marble columns. The princess didn’t live all alone in her castle though— at least, not all the time. She had many royal attendants, and servants, and plenty of friends of course. But the problem with being a beautiful, kind, generous princess is that sometimes people get too friendly and want to visit her in the castle when she’d rather be alone. Thankfully, the princess had a last line of defense—”
“Let me guess, a knight in shining armor?” Or more like knight with shining arm.
“Wish I could say so,” he disagreed. “No, this princess needed something a little fiercer, and that was why a dragon guarded the castle.”
“A dragon?!”
“Mhmm. A big, scary dragon with sharp teeth and big wings, that breathed fire on anyone who got in his way. The thing about knights is that they’re noble, and handsome, and righteous. But righteousness prevents people from doing bad things, and sometimes bad things need to be done to protect good things. So, knights can’t protect princesses like they should. That’s what dragons are for. They’re mean and nasty— it’s their nature, after all— and sometimes you need somebody burnt up, so you call a dragon and he’ll deal with it for you. And this dragon was the meanest and nastiest of them all, and he’d burnt a lot of people in his time. Oddly enough, the princess was still nice to him, but she had a lot of knights and princes and kings who wanted her hand. Good thing the dragon was there to pick off the worst ones.”
You giggled a little, even though your heart was racing.
“The dragon watched over the castle every night— well, five nights a week… cause the princess wanted weekends to herself— but, still, he was very dedicated and did his best to keep her safe. Sometimes he would take her to whatever lavish ball she had been invited to that week; she would ride on his back as he flew there, even though he was pretty scared she would fall off or something. And sometimes…”
Your breath caught at the pause, waiting anxiously for what would come next.
“Sometimes the dragon wished he wasn’t a monster. But if he wasn’t a monster, then he couldn’t keep her safe. So, he resigned himself to a life outside the castle, because at least he could be near her— even if she was impossibly far away.”
You swallowed as you tried to process it, finding yourself at a complete loss for words.
“The end,” he whispered gently, before giving you a goodnight and saying your name in a way that he’d never said it before— at least, you’d never heard him say it that way before. But you really, really hoped you’d get to hear it again. You did manage to fall asleep eventually, dreaming about flying and wishing you didn’t have to wake up.

10 Years of Sherlock (TV) AO3 stats!
Sherlock fans, new and old, click below to read a long list of graphs and comments about our communities fanworks over the last 10 years. I scraped AO3 again and demonstrate that:
More creators are writing longer works in 2020
Readers engaged more as the fandom changed after S4
Top ten new tags per year for the last 10 years
And a lot more.
PS the code to gather this data and analyse it can be found way over here.
Activity over 10 years
The last 10 years in the BBC Sherlock fandom have been tumultuous, but this community persists, with engagement from new fans and continued creative output. To commemorate over a decade of squee, I’ve done another scrape of the fandom’s imprint on the Archive of Our Own and will share some insights from the numbers in these plots. A very late update on my post S4 snapshot from 2018.
Note: This analysis is of completed public fanworks only, about 101000 of the 122000 Sherlock (TV) works available at present. This is to remove the late WIP effect, which adds a bulge to the last few months, and out of respect to creators who wish to have their material reserved for other registered AO3 users.
The works are still coming
Counting the number of works posted per day, we can see the peaks associated with each series airing (in UK and US). After that, the number of works continues fairly evenly, 20-30 per day, plus seasonal peaks. This rate is continuing on without a hint of new canon in sight. So who is posting all this work?
Creator-waves, monthly output
Years ago I started plotting creator waves, basically I group fanwork producers by the year they first posted to the fandom and then count how many of this group are active in later time intervals. This lets us get a sense of how long people are contributing and whether new fans are getting the urge to create.
This plot of the Sherlock (TV) fanworks on AO3 shows the standard shape of plump participation in the first year of any given set of creators, followed by a slowly thinning tail as they because less active over time. Turnover is natural in fandoms, with most only posting a work or two within a fairly limited amount of time, while a precious few persist for years. The surprise for me here is that the ratio of new creators is higher in 2020 than it was in 2019. Maybe the excuse of lockdown encouraged more folks to take a turn at creating content.
Another way to look at the output of fan creators on AO3 is to see the total amount of words being shared across all fanworks. The total has been pretty close to 300-400k words per month since 2018! To get a sense of what that means per work, I also plotted the median number of words per fanwork in these monthly sets. The median in higher in the last year than it had been staying for a while.
Reader behaviour: Hits & Kudos & Comments
Fan creators are only part of the story. Stats on engagement are a bit trick to interpret, I’ve got some plots here that tell us something about how works have been engaged with over time.
The obvious first to consider is Hits. Above is the total number of Hits given to works published each month. This is the current totals, not a historical snapshot, so we have a very strong bias towards early works, what we might call the Classics Effect. Works that have been around longer have had the chance to be seen by more people, and in particular those works that become must-read classics in a fandom, extending their exposure through prominence in top ranked works and recommendations.
To cut down on the advantage of the classics, we can also consider median hits per work for each month. As most works get a lot attention when they are first posted and then fade out of sight, the median number of hits reflects instead the ratio of readers to creators, basically how many eyeballs are around to look at the latest work, regardless of status. The median plot shows how the hyper-visibility of the few work available before 2012, and then a more steady curve once the fandom had gotten established on the platform after Series 2. Amazingly, the hit rate for the median work was steady through the big bumps in activity with later series, a 1000 hits for median works between 2013 and 2018, followed by a slow decline. I’d expect the 2020 works to continue gaining for a few months yet, but the median is probably 50-60% of what is was when the show was in production.
Kudos counts and medians show a similar story to hits, but there is a dip down around 2013 for kudos reflects the frenzy of productivity that saw the fandom grow during the Series 2 hiatus. Readers were getting spoiled! From the airing of Series 3 (2014) until a year following Series 4 (2018), the median work received an even 60ish kudos and 1000 hits, a niche audience that decreased to 50/750 through 2018-2019. The numbers of 2020 suggest a smaller community of readers again, though these numbers may still rise a bit in the next few months before the median works are forgotten.
The statistic that tells a different story is Comments. Looking at the total comments counts, there isn’t a drop after Series 3 (2014). Instead, the fandom compensated for changing numbers with more feedback and discussion attached to works. This is reflected in the median comment rate as well, which shows seasonal variation but doesn’t really drop off until 2020.
It’s remarkable that without fresh canon we continue to have new creators contributing to the fandom, and while that may be outpacing the readership somewhat, the standard of engagement has been very high. One could say the fandom is chugging along quite nicely!
What about Tags
So, with all that turnover and shifting population, is there a change in the kinds of works being posted? We can look at tags, all tags and freeform tags, to see if there were any meaningful trends.
First up, I did a creator-wave like analysis of works just for tags, to see how tags continue to be used after being introduced. Unlike the creators, tags clearly persist for years. After 2015, it looks like the core tag set has been established, with very few tags persisting in usage per subsequent year.
This graph reports numbers over time that are not proportional to the number of works or creators active. Instead, works on AO3 have been getting more and more tags over the years, with the average steadily growing from 5 in 2011 to 15 in 2020, with freeform tags (not characters or ships) from 2 to 8.
To get a sense of fic and tagging culture changes over time, I counted the most popular NEW tags of each year (wave). Note: this analysis is using exact matches, not the networked associations of tag meanings wrangled into AO3 today, so some things that pop up aren’t new concepts but instead newly popular TAGs for whatever they represent.

A little note from looking across all freeform tags, not just the new ones, we see a curious pattern with regards to two actions: First Kiss and Anal Sex. They appear amongst the most common tags as of 2014, neck in neck for two years, than Anal Sex drops off the top ten in 2016. From there out, First Kiss stays in the top 5 from that point on, while anal sex appears at rank 9 from 2017-2019 and is gone again in 2020. This probably says something about the fandom, somehow.
Bravo for making it to the end and thank you for reading!
Questions/comments welcome.

Supernatural Fair Fight Livestream Recap with timestamps
(based off of the notes I took while watching live. any errors are mine and not the fault of the cast or abrams)
21:01 Panel Starts. Misha introduces panel- Stacey Abrams, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padelecki, Erik Kripke, Berto the ASL interpreter.
21:02 Stacey Abrams talks about how she got into SPN. Talks about running for governor(?) in California(?), having trouble gathering support/campaign funds. On a particularly bad day, ends up watching SPN in her hotel room. Loves it, ends up watching the whole show after this. Quotes “Even if it’s hard we can’t stop” and “who else is going to do this” and talks about keeping going.
21:05 Kripke: “Wow”
Ackles: “That’s one of the most beautiful interpretations of what we do, how we tell the story.”
21:06 Kripke: “Grateful we could provide inspiration”
21:07 JarPad: *reiterates above* joke about how “Kripke’s writing is questionable at best.”
21:08 Misha: “The reason we tell stories is to inspire people” creates an allegory about the ‘invisible enemy’ of voter suppression with the invisible enemy trope common in storytelling. “As we made the show, we were taking inspiration from [Abrams]”
21:09 Kripke asks Abrams to tell more about Fair Fight
21:09 Abrams talks about a secretary of state(?) [whose name I didn’t catch but who JPad refers to as ‘Lucifer”] who was in charge of voter registries in Georgia who wrongfully removed thousands of voters from lists, closed essential polling locations, and prevented people from voting, which disproportionately impacted POC and youth voters, and led to 8+ hour wait times in remaining locations. Abrams tells of how her and FF acted to fix this and change the whole system for the better. “If this becomes about politicians, no one is going to care, but when it becomes about people’s [list of basic rights and essential services]...” “...Patriotic belief that democracy means that if you’re eligible to vote, you get to be heard. Fair Fight is committed to ensuring that every voter in the US has the right to vote, and we are pretty good at it.”
21:16 Misha voices concerns about Trump’s attempts to make the 2020 vote counts seem unreliable.
21:17 Abrams gives an in-depth history of voter suppression in the US, committed by both parties at various times, including restrictions on mail-in votes, ID laws, and something about the voting rights act.
21:18 A bunch more panelists join in, including Jake Abel, Felicia Day, and a number of other SPN cast members.
21:19 Abrams says that in Texas a gun license is a valid id to vote, but a college id is not. “Everyone should get to participate, not just the chosen.” Mentions that she has not seen the final 3 episodes yet, request no spoilers until she logs out.
21:22 Kripke thanks Abrams for her political work.
21:22 Felicia Day says she was very excited to meet Abrams at Dragon Con.
21:33 Misha and Kripke try to move panel along to comply with Abrams limited time availability.
21:24 Rachel Miner “We all admire you [Abrams], you’re our hero.”
21:25 JPad gives a long speech thanking Abrams that was too fast to write down verbatim. “It’s important that everyone have their own voice” says it’s an honor to meet Abrams.
21:26 Bob Singer asks a question about Purdue(?) not showing up to a debate.
21:27 Abrams gives a detailed answer about swing states, swing voters, the lack of swing voters in Georgia, and the relatively small impact that Purdue(?) missing a debate would have on his numbers. Long speech about mail-in voting.
21:29 Sebastian Roche asks a question about run-off votes. Abrams answers.
21:30 Rachel Miner asks a question about voter registration descrimination against people w foreign names.
21:31 Abrams talks about how this has happened and what Fair Fight is doing to combat it, and how Fair Fight’s legal actions have managed to significantly reduce the amount of mail-in ballots thrown out for having difficult to understand names on them.
21:33 Shoshanna Stern thanks Abrams for her efforts in making voting more disability accessible.
21:34 Abrams answers, gives more info on the subject and the importance of having accessible voting locations.
21:36 Jim Beaver says it’s wonderful to be able to talk to Abrams, etc.
21:37 Abrams realizes her time has just about run out, and says thank yous and good byes. Mentions that tomorrow is her birthday. Multiple members of the cast wish her a happy birthday. More goodbyes from everyone, and thank yous to and from Abrams. Abrams exits call.
21:39 Kripke and Misha encourage people to donate to FF
21:41 Misha and Jensen rib each other, joke about an open bar.
21:41 Misha “Now we’re just going to waste your time for half an hour now that she’s gone”
21:42 Curtis Armstrong tells a short story about his mother, who was a voter activist in Detroit and Switzerland, and how nice it was to see Abrams talk.
21:43 Trivia intro. Multiple jokes made at the same time about state capitals.
21:44 Jim Beaver “When my kid was 7, I asked her the capital of Vermont and she said V”
21:44 Kripke asks semi-serious question about what JPad wore as protection in the ball-crusher Japanese game show scene in Changing Channels.
21:45 JPad “A thimble. A mini-thimble. No, a cup.” says something else about the cup.
21:46 Ackles “Our special effects team likes to go above and beyond”
21:46 JPad comments about real fear in that scene
21:46 Misha tries to get trivia back on track. “Without powers, what does Dean say Cas is?”
------[Baby in a trenchcoat]
“Other name of the Impala?”
Julie McNiven guesses “A special place”. Someone calls out “baby”
-----[Metallicar]
“Name of Sam and Jess’s friend who goes with them to the bar in the pilot?”
Even JPad, who was in the scene, does not know. Kripke comments that it was named after an irl friend of his from Tiuanna, named LUIS.
“5 works Kripke ripped off for SPN?”
Everyone guessing at once, including: Animal House, On The Road, Good Omens, Constantine, Star Wars, and several others.
“What herpes medication does Sam have to do a commercial for?”
[Herpexia]
21:52 JPad and Julie rib each other about herpes meds, and argue whether the term is prescription or subscription for medication. One of them brings up the example of having a subscription to dog food.
21:52 Jake Abel “What if your dog has herpes?”
Misha “I only hope that Stacey Abrams has tuned in”
Seb makes another joke about state capitals, then asks JPad the capital of Albania.
Jared has no idea, guesses ‘new albania’
Seb “Tirana” talks about having lived on a boat, presumably near Albania.
Rob Benedict: “Thanks for tuning in”
Bob Singer asks who knows the story of Seb getting a massage at VAncouver airport.
Jared (paraphrased) “We all fly through Vancouver airport a lot. Just past security there’s a massage place [with the chairs where you face the floor].” One day JPad and Ackles went through security and saw Seb getting a massage. They go over, convince the masseuse [who knows them all at this point] to let JPad take over. Seb does not notice, despite the fact that the masseuse is a small woman and JPad is holding his hands weird to try to make them smaller. JPad says he put his hands down Seb’s back and up his shirt, and Seb still did not notice, just making a noise and saying ‘very nice’. JPad gets as far as groping Seb’s ass before Seb notices anything is up. This is still the middle of a busy airport.
21:58 Seb “It was strangely sensual. Thank you, Robert, for bringing that up.” “I was perturbed for the whole flight back.”
Ackles “Another highbrow story”
Seb “It’s really fun being on that set. It really is” Claims they are also serious sometimes, to which there is laughter in response.
Ackles “It going to be like that on The Boys, Krip?”
Kripke “No massages to completion”
Seb “Wait there was no completion”
Krip “Saw photos of [Ackles’s] supersuit today”
Multiple jokes from several people about Ackle costume for The Boys being assless, crotchless, entirely made of paint, and cowboy-themed.
22:01 Misha “time for about 5 minutes of outtakes”
Someone jokes about adding ‘give Seb a massage’ as a donation tier.
Misha thanks the fans, says he loves and misses all the cast. Asks Rob B to sing.
22:02 Rob B “tune into my radio show” [for singing]
22:03 Misha announced that $225,000 has been raised for charity so far in the stream.
More thank yous from everyone to everyone, including the zoom team.
22:04 Seb “Vote out Mitch McConnel:
Jensen “Such as British accent to tell us who to vote for”
Seb “I’m half French half Scottish”
Jensen and Seb joke about scottish and french alcohols, and how they can’t be mixed.
22:05 Kripke thanks the fans for 15 years. Everyone else joins in on thanking fans for 15 years.
Jake Abel “There was a big gap in there for me somewhere”
Seb asks if Jake was in the first season.
22:06 Jake “3rd, 5, and 15”
Seb gives long thank you speech.
Jensen talks about how the cast is sticking together “This group is not being dispersed”...”I take comfort in knowing this” jokes that they’re stuck together whether they like it or not.
Misha “Like herpes”
Felicia “Genital or otherwise”
22:07 gag reel begins, including Misha’s ‘on-camera finger, Jensen falling off a chair “furniture could use some work”, Jensen failing to pick a lock for a very long time and Jared asking ‘Cas” to open it, Jensen saying ‘hail misha’ instead of ‘hail mary’, Misha failing to keep a straight face while looking at Alex Calvert, Jensen eating something too hot(?), and more that someone has probably already uploaded in full anyway.
21:13 stream ends.

Needed another line, and thought Samuel Beckett might provide. Search yielded no Beckett, but the above passage, fitting in its way and no more nor less ambiguous than anything else here. something recent — Giuseppe Caccavale « Projet Paul Celan », Residence Concordia, Parigi gennaio-ottobre 2020; testo e foto dell’artista. method
A friend reminded me, recently, that I don’t have time (for what is irrelevant here). Have been ruminating on (avoiding the consequences of) this, since. And thinking too about the place dimension of time, as discussed by Veronica O’Keane in her The Rag and Bone Shop : How we make memories and memories make us (2021) — “One’s sense of time is inseparable from events, but this is a sense of time. Might time have something to do with place cells?” (107) and “The whole concept of time is generally unhelpful in understanding science, be it physics or neuroscience... From the perspective of recording events, the present is consciousness. In a seemingly ironic twist, I myself think that the only place that time does not exist is in the moment of consciousness...” (113)
The encountered lines — all included above from my search in pre-1923 sources — have found their respective though non-chronological places in a kind of rocking, panning motion, in which sediments settle into their respective ripples / couplets.
Would, could, does this — sequence — work (whatever “work” means) without the anchorings / tetherings / bibliographic wastefull(ness; line 9 above) that follow it? They were needed in the making, anyway, and for there to be sufficient distraction for the making to sustain.
all subject to change.
