@cryptid-paint has an au and I wanted to draw bad end Rook and think about the design a bit.
Tumblr media
First, he is ✨SERVING✨. Second, he seems to be wearing a mix of Plumber tech and not Plumber tech so I'm going to theorise about the design and hopefully cryptid-paint will tell me if I'm right/their actual inspiration and thought process.
Those boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do. I'm curious about the heels. In a world where he can't justify washing his hair, why did he go to the effort of buying new shoes that are less functional and less comfortable? My theory is that they're sharp. I've always thought Rook could kill someone with the blunt force of a kick but especially if there was a blade involved as well as the blunt force. There is also the possibility that being separated from the Plumbers allows him to be more self-expressive and, because he doesn't have to wear the armour as intended, he doesn't.
He's also wearing one piece of mismatching armour. There's the possibility that he lost one shoulder pad but if you've got access to Galvan technology, I can't help but think he would replace it with something more fitting than a big piece of metal.
My theory is that it's cultural, along with the earring and fabric around his waist. It reminds me of Kundo. Kundo keeps his left arm uncovered and keeps his right arm covered, presumably so he can use Stone Cutter. In this AU, Rook got ex-communicated from his home world so it would make sense that he would want to feel closer to his culture through wearing the things he had left (like a piece of armour or an earring or a piece of clothing). There's also the fact that he would fall back to what he knew prior to training. He knows who he's fighting and he knows how they were trained so the fact he knows a martial art that they don't is an advantage.
Do you think Rook knows Stone Cutter in this AU? I can imagine him flooring someone the way Kundo floored him being the reason he was ex-communicated but that's just me having fun with the idea. It definitely would have killed the person, not everyone has the benefit of wearing null void proof armour.
Anyways, I love this AU. I am so invested.

Late Night Thought: I can't get words together but my brain keeps going to the concept of a storyline for that 'Argit joins the team in OV so there's still a trio' au that's him, Ben, and Rook getting stuck in the Null Void for an actual notable length of time. Like, at least a week.
I mean, Rook joined the crew so he got episodes for himself and his homeworld and shit, so it would only be fair to gives Argit shit like that too in this stuff.
Drop the three of them in the Null Void and Rook is wary and Ben is just kinda tired but also kinda overconfident, meanwhile Argit at first is freaking the fuck out only to then then suddenly just switch over to being very serious and very in charge.
Thinking a two-parter, starting with Ben and Rook not really taking Argit seriously, thinking that the sheer level of 'do what I say, be careful, This Place Is Dangerous' he's throwing out is an overreaction (the place is bad but it can't be that bad, Rook assumes because there's law enforcement in the dimension, the place is bad but it's perfect survivable, Ben assumes because the two days tops he's spent in there over multiple visits totally gave him a complete view of how life is), though they are kinda weirded out by the sheer change in his behavior. (Trauma will do a lot to you, including making you revert back to 'keeping myself and those I care about alive' mode, whudda thunk?) Over the course of the little arc there's a lot of learning about how the Null Void works, how ineffective the Plumber presence is, the very real problems that arise from living in a place where people throw their violent criminals with the only real protection for anybody being hoping a Null Guardian is around, and most importantly so much about Argit's history in the Null Void. By the end of it the others have developed a whole new respect for Argit, an idea of just the sort of person he could be given the chance, and a whole new understanding of not just him but also Kevin and just how fucked up the both of them are from experiences like their time in the Void.
(For bonus pain: The growing realization, over the course of the arc, that through the whole ordeal Argit is fucking terrified that when somebody eventually comes to save Ben and Rook he's gonna get left behind, trapped in the Void once again for who knows how long. Holding himself together mostly through pure 'if you have a proper meltdown then who the fuck is going to keep the three of you alive?'. The culmination of the trio's development into a proper team, finally, with this final chunk of respect for the 'token evil teammate', being Ben and Rook's vowing up down and sideways that they would never let that happen. He's their friend, he's there on accident same as them, and damnit they're not leaving without him.)
When they get out they learn that when Kevin heard the news his main concern was for Argit and so help Ben and Rook if something happened to 'his rat'.
Neither one can blame him.

DuAlbedo Ben 10K AU Lorepost
A Ben 10K AU of mine.
KEN TENNYSON - The son of Ben 10K, hero of heroes, sporting the retro-styled Omnitrix-B of his father's creation. Unlike the original Omnitrix, this one scales the age of its alien forms to Ken's own to allow his forms to grow up and mature alongside him. Eager to become a great hero like his father before him, but not yet understanding what that really means.
ROOK BENN - The younger brother of Rook Blonko, Ben 10K's former partner and a high-ranking member of The Plumbers stationed in orbit above Earth. Benn is stationed in 10K Tower, acting as plumber tech support for the plumbers and is often roped into following Ken and co's shenanigans out of a sense of responsibility as the only 'adult' in the room.
DEVLIN LEVIN - The first child of Gwen and Kevin, living with his sister and cousin in 10K tower due to his parents often being away at work in the Null Void and Legerdomain respectively. In this timeline, instead of being able to transform into a semblance of Kevin's early chimera form, he is studying to be a magician hoping to one day surpass his mother. In his gloves he wears a pair of charms Gwen made to replicate the charms of Bezel, specifically those of Luck and Telekinesis. In combat, he has a talent for creating magical constructs similar to Charmcaster's using whatever materials are in his environment whether it be rock, metal, or organic.
PENNY LEVIN - Devlin's younger sister, living with him and their cousin in 10K tower. She takes after Kevin, being a troublemaker with an absence of caution but with a desire to help her family. Unlike Devlin, she has yet to start holding her parent's recurring absence against them and treasures any time she gets to spend with them or her uncle Ben. She wishes she had powers of some kind to help her brother and cousin with fighting bad guys, and later discovers in the worst way possible that she takes after her father in more ways than one.
ALBEDO - The former student of Azmuth, at the latest depth of his life-long spiral. Ben's creation of the Biomnitrix was one more in a long line of last straws, and finding out that his enemy had created an inferior copy of the omnitrix and received even passive approval from Azmuth where Albedo's superior Ultimatrix had not set the metaphoric strawpile in his mind ablaze. This led to Albedo creating the Dualtimatrix, a new version of the Ultimatrix which possessed both an evolution AND fusion function. However, attempting to use both functions in unison caused a severe malfunction in the Dualtimatrix, leading to Albedo being genetically disfigured beyond repair. This resulted in his current base form being stuck halfway between human and galvan. Where Ben's Biomnitrix was a passion project, Albedo's Dualtimatrix was a work of hate and this is evident in Albedo's fusion forms, which tend to have a more brutal/unnatural appearance than Ben's. He is currently trying to figure out how to repair his damaged self, and hopes to do so by getting his hands on the original Omnitrix- and believes that Ken's is the key to finding it.

Ben 10 but it's velma
Ben is nonwhite now but he hates himself & seeks validation from his yt peers and never grows out of it
Gwen is just her original series self but with none of the positives. Also she's a crazy catlady who flirts with Rook
Kevin is stupid bc he's white
Rook exists solely to clean up behind Ben/make snarky zingers; his catlike features are treated as gross a running gag is he throws up hairballs
Julie is blasian but she's a total bitch bc can't have nice black women characters
Kai is actually the most likable character bc everyone else is too unlikable in comparison or her personality really did improve
Vilgax is not an intimidating warlord but some guy in a costume
Charmcaster ship teased with Gwen and that's her entire character. Also she's not related to her uncle anymore despite him being a key part of her backstory
Most of the villains like Zombozo, Dr Animo are treated as even bigger fucking jokes than the TFA villains but without the sincerity (as in Zombozo is a kiddy diddler and Animo practices bestiality)
Ben's alien forms are significantly weaker and as a result gets overpowered by some random object
His forms gets some of the laziest redesigns that makes DA recolors look like van Gogh
Something something the null void isn't a torrential space prison but a paradise where you can get all the hookers and blow you want
Despite having a good artstyle the character designs are even more bland/OOC than anything from previous shows
Humungosaur dick jokes
Sexual jokes about alien forms and how the hell he'd be able to put it in which would be very inevitably gross if Ben is a teenager in this scenario
Grandpa Max actually slept with a lot of women and have multiple kids/grandkids. Ben happens to be the favorite. Also he can cook now and he doesn't wear Hawaiian shirts
Kevin is stereotypically goth & his traumas are used as a punchline
Weird meta joke where Zak and Rex are turned white; or a disappointed Ben complaining about Suma Slammers being too "woke"
We finally get a DC x ben 10 crossover but all the dc heroes are complete jerks
Lets throw in gallows humor and make a joke about how this show was so cancerous it killed Kevin Conroy!
Everything is set on Earth no more going to different states, planets or universes nope everything has to be in Bellwood
Ben's parents are divorced something something Ben's dad is actually the arc villain
Forever Knights are not the REAL villains....
Michael Morningstar no longer has his powers or charismatic personality he's just a wimpy kid that everyone hates for existing
Another gallows humor about how this show killed Derrick J Wyatt or his ghost showing up as an antagonist (bonus he's joined by Dwayne McDuffie's)
Ben 10k is an unlikable prick whose mental issues are a joke
Albedo shows up as an AU Ben at one point and he and Ben sleeps together and ends up as a couple after much romantic tension
Undertown is just a horrible place to live in every alien is a prick or just there to die
Gore galore but gratuitous to the point of hilarity
Kevin car is the best character
Ben sleeps around & hits on with a lot of girls
Bwen jokes...ugh

(got it from here; op is MiuNightmare)
i also wanted to add two three more things to the thread:

yes, this is the thing that i ACTUALLY wanted to draw when i drew the loading screen-looking thingy
just some OMORI x Digimon AU stuff that probably won't be in the actual story that i planned for it
catering to my own interests is much harder than i thought...
also the bg is has the same source as the loading screen one; it's from the game, but i REALLY edited the colors to make it more... er, Digital World-y

My #1 post of 2022
ok folks and frops and funky lil' aliens
remember the Aura Fusion Generator that i've mentioned a few times back?
it's still not done, but i AM starting to let you apply for the generator's Alpha release!
this is because it might take a BIT longer to make a final, more improved version of it since i am still a coding amateur
although there ARE some features that are unique to the Alpha version of the generator (even a giveaway of some files to help you out!), as well as... maybe a contest that i'll announce here on tumblr after i release it?? idk
so to apply, please reply (not ask, not reblog even tho those are needed for spreading the word) here with your answer to this question: "If you got an AuraStone, what would your Aura Fusion/Pure Aura be based on your own vibes?" it can contain 1-3 Auras, with 2 being the most common, 3 being less common, and 1 being the rarest
oh, and the Elements are Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Nature (plants), Life (flesh and organs), Metal, Electric, Light, Dark, Null (the soul and senses), and Chaos (randomness and everything else)!

A Brief History of the Null Void
(( ~ OOC: This is the fanon history of the Null Void as it pertains to this blog and the tie-in fan fiction “Elevator Monologue” which can be read on AO3. ~ ))
...
The Null Void is a pocket dimension that exists outside of, but right next to real space. It was first discovered by Galvan explorer thousands of years ago. Galvan leadership decided that the best use for this new discovery was as a penal colony.
Tumblr media
Criminals, both native born Galvans and alien alike were sent to the Null Void to live out their sentences removed from the rest of society and real space as a whole.
For some, this was the worst fate. Banished to another dimension, never to see families or friends again. Set adrift in a harsh and unforgiving landscape.
While others saw it as an opportunity. A way to make their own life in their own world. To start anew with no history or baggage to weight them down. A literal clean slate. In this new world to settle.
Tumblr media
And settle it they did.
The Null Void settlers were responsible for the main agricultural advancement in the Null Void.
Tumblr media
Light is scarce in the Null Void, and fresh water even more so. Still, the Null Void settlers managed to yield a crop with enough nutritional value to sustain themselves. After several harvests, they managed to prefect the growing process enough to produce a surplus that could be traded with others.
But not everyone sent to the Null Void was as self-reliant or community oriented as the Settlers. There were still always those whom would rather simple take rather than trade.
As a solution to this problem, the Galvan leadership, the ones who’s decision it was to use the Null Void as a penal colony in the first place, created the Null Guardians.
Tumblr media
Artificially created lifeforms to act as watch dogs and protect the Settlers trying to make a new life for themselves.
As time went on and other planets and races discovered the Null Void, they started sending their own criminals and degenerates to the pocket dimension. The Null Void became a melting pot of different races, languages, cultures, and customs. Differed codes of ethics, and concepts of morality.
Eventually, it became too complicated for the simplified minds of the Null Guardians to maintain and the Plumbers had to step in.
They set up a prison in the Null Void.
Tumblr media
Incarcecon.
No longer should planets or Plumbers just be throwing criminals in the Null Void casually. Now defendants must be tried, judged, and sent to a prison where they could be kept away from the now-natives of the Null Void that just want to live their lives unmolested.
Incarcecon was a way to bring some version of order and safety to the Null Void. All run and maintained under Plumber purview.
Tumblr media
But even Plumbers are not above corruption.
Tumblr media
It was discovered that Incarcecon was built on top of a natural deposit of a unique mineral native to the Null Void. When ground down into a fine powder and inhaled, it would induce visions, hallucinations, and dreamsttates. Such a drug would sell very well on the intergalactic black market. A prison guard by the name of Morgg recognized this and staged a coup.
He took over the prison. Killed a number of inmates during the initial fight. Replaced all the other guards with robots loyal to him. And installed himself as Warden. In control now, Morgg converted Incarcecon from a prison into a forced labor camp. Using the existing inmates and any new inmates that were teleported in as slaves to mine his product.
This went largely unnoticed and unchecked by the Plumbers back in real space until Kevin 11,000 (whom was then known as “Ultimate Kevin”) returned to Incarcecon to exact revenge on Morgg for killing an inmate close to him. With Kevin came the Hero of the Universe, Ben 10,000 (whom was then still only “Ben 10″). Events unfolded as events involving Ben 10,000 usually do. The corrupt Warden was deposed and the inmates took over the compound.
Incarcecon still stands today. But it goes by the name the Free Fortress and the same inmates who once called it a prison now call it “home”.
Around the same time as Incarcecon’s slave labor, another Plumbers project was going on in the Null Void.
The Null Void was so full of different species and races, different languages and dialects, different cultures and customs, a project of Cultural Sensitivity began. A team called the Rooters and lead by a Proctor ranked Plumber by the name Hector Servantis.
Tumblr media
They were the first Plumbers unit to be based in the Null Void.
But they were not without their fair share of corruption.
Not long after the formation of the project, Proctor Servantis learned of a powerful piece of Galvan tech, arguably the most dangerous weapon in the known universe... and this advanced technology was given to a child. An Earthling child of the age of ten.
Human children that young should not be given that kind of responsibility. Human children that young were still learning right from wrong. In the hands of a child, the Omnitrix could un-make the universe.
Servantis switched his mission goal from cultural sensitivity and mediation to something entirely different and not at all in alignment with his original mission statement.
Tumblr media
In the end, not much came of the Rooters plans.
Eventually, the Magistrata was made aware of what Servantis was doing and confiscated his base, stripped Servantis and his Rooters of their ranks and privileges, and banished the team to the same Null Void they had abandoned.
No longer Plumbers, the Rooters became just another band of criminals sentenced to live out their remaining days in the Null Void.
And the Null Void was not as safe as it used to be.
Not to imply that the Null Void was ever “safe” to begin with. But, it had increased in dangers in recent years -mainly since Ben 10,000 (then “Ben 10″) began throwing his enemies into it without formal trial or sentencing.
Most notable of these dangers are the Mutant To’kustar, commonly referred to as “Way Bads”.
Tumblr media
The Way Bads continue to be a problem, as do the Rooters that the Magistrata left to wander the Void unsupervised.
In an attempt to solve these new issues, a new plan was implemented. Not another prison or a covert team to operate autonomously, but a proper Plumbers base, same as any outpost in any star system in real space.
A Plumbers Headquarters here in the Null Void.
Plumbers HQ-NV.
Currently, the base and corresponding Plumbers officers are running under the leadership of Magister Rook Blonko, a Revonnahgander from Revonnah.
Tumblr media
Magister Rook is the former partner of the famous Hero of the Universe, Ben 10,000 and has lots of experience mediating difficult situations.
However, there is a rumor floating around that another change in the Null Void’s Plumbers leadership is in the works...

Lucky boy AU! question, Considering all the neon and potential glitter that Ben has in his vigilante disguise, how does he put it all on and off, and how long does it take each time? Also, how does this effect his school life with all the nightstakeouts? Would he be extra cautious with all of the stuff he keeps hidden from his family? And would there be times where he slips out a detail or 2, or almost get caught but not quite and manages to save himself?
Also, his vigilante name could be perhaps Nyan Cat? reference to a meme and videogame, cringy enough to be silly and funny at the same time, and the only thing that he would be missing would be the poptart... He could very well leave poptart stickers once he finishes a job as a signature of his, as long as he has a way to make them steadily XD
Ok so had to draw some things cause I work best when I have visuals. And of course I have to create the content I wish to consume... sigh...
First part about his disguise:  So I was thinking something simple like how he turns into an alien, just a quick flash of light and POOF. Magical boy. Lazy animation as an example. (might clean it up as some point, it’s my career, i’m just lazy)
Tumblr media
It saves a lot of time to be honest. Plus I like to consider things from the perspective on an animator. Yes you could recycle the same ol’ magical girl dressup sequence each episode... BUT! Where’s the visual interest?? Ben is Extra flashy in all ways shapes and forms, so I’ll make sure I can portray it the best I can. Also I just think it’s funny that he just disappears only to reappear in a magenta explosion shortly after.
Second part: School? disgusting! Just kidding. Honestly I wasn’t thinking about school life, it’s way too common for super heros to be in school, so I was just gonna say they’re all adults in this. Or at least out of school. As great as it is to have the whole highschool drama/super hero life thing. It’s just overdone to the maximum.
School is traumatic, I’m already putting this guy through enough shit.
I was thinking Ben has moved out at this point and works part time- or casually--- do americans do casual work? is that a thing over there? -- Just to keep himself off the streets, he’s either living in a small apartment in Bellwood, or Undertown- In his room he’s got this nifty little portal to get to Undertown- makes things convenient.
As for his parents, they know not of his vigilante life- and of course, the loving parents they are, will always pay surprise visits to make sure Ben is doing well. Many times his mum has tried to slip him $20 behind her husbands back. To which Carl does the exact same, but with $50 instead. He rejects their money most of the time, unless he’s absolutely desperate- groceries don’t buy themselves.
Sometimes during their surprise visits they see an odd bruise/cut or 2. They hound him for answers and he always gives a smooth lie- whilst trying to hide his tell-tail twitching eye. “Oh I slipped on a puddle at work” “cut myself while cooking” “Fell down the stairs” “Fell asleep on the bus and bumped my head extra hard” etc, etc.
Max has also paid a visit or two unexpectedly. Ben, at that point tried to hide his very broken arm- (healing spells are exhausting and shouldn't be used often with broken bones because they might not heal correctly) - Almost got caught, but fortunately his cool demeaner fooled Max... or did it?
Tumblr media
So I love the idea with the stickers. I imagine that Ben being the shit he is, slaps a large glowing sticker over his enemies head, either magenta or toxic green. He uses them as a beacon to lure plumbers to the area (Like Rook, who is both surprised yet delighted to find most crooks are being taken care of. He can’t shake the feeling that maybe what he’s been told about this vigilante might be false.)
To add further insult to injury Ben likes to make an extra flashy display of his escape, usually saying something like “Ciao!” or “Au Revoir, loser!” with a peace sign to accompany him.
As for how he gets the stickers, he makes them, very cheaply, he draws them, uses sticky tape to make it shiny and enhances them with mana, also uses a good spell to keep them stuck to the wall- permanently- but the glow fades after a day. The plumbers don’t usually do anything about graffiti, but, the amount of those stickers found on their vehicles... it’s enough to almost tempt them into throwing Ben in the Null Void.
I’m less keen about using Nyan Cat, I mean it’s great but like- i dunno we already have Nyancy Chan. But I like where you’re going with this.
Woo. There ya go, sorry about grammar/spelling issues, I can’t read.
Oh and if I forgot something let me know and I’ll add to this or pop in a seperate post.

Today I’m here to combine my hyperfixations and talk about OTTO Motive for no other reason than to just talk about Cybertronians in Omniverse.
Tumblr media
So okay, I know very well that this episode has just like... a big reference to Derrick J. Wyatt and his work on Transformers Animated, rather than an official introduction to Cybertronians but I’m here to share my thinky thoughts and not worry about canon so let’s get started.
Aside from Otto himself, which is listed as ‘Artificial Intelligence’ as his species, this combiner is made from 5 non-sentient vehicles, including Rook’s own Proto-TRUK, so I guess this post is semi-au ish? Nothing new here then, so let’s go about this in two ways.
Were they always Cybertronian, or were they made to be so.
In either case, Otto is probably a minibot. I don’t know the limitations of Cybertronian biology enough to know whether it’s possible to have a hologram for a head but let’s just say he’s a little... mangled for his time in the Null Void.
Let’s start with the former. The Proto-TRUK itself is already by default able to transform from a truck into a spaceship before being hacked to become the body of this machine. I suppose in this au thing, the Proto-TRUK is a triple changer that may or may not accidentally make the buddy cop duo of Ben and Rook into a trio much like the other installments of the series. I’m not sure whether or not they’ll actually transform into root-mode, but I mean... it’s an au I can do whatever I want to also if that is the case... well... you know what happens near the end don’t you Ben 10 fans?
In this scenario, does this mean that the Tetramands are kinda lying about their expertise in engine production? Nah, but I don’t doubt that their technical abilities, especially around automobiles, would be a good way to form a beneficial relationship between them and Cybertron. In this sense, the Khoros Car Show is more so a fashion show, or a tech demonstration, for Cybertronians wanting to strut their new, flashy gadgets. The bot with Taydenite armour is certainly lucky, to the jealousy of the others.
Now, how does this all work out? Are they all innocent Cybertronians that Otto forcefully gave the combiner program to? Are they already a gestalt that were actually contacted by Otto to join up for some schweet upgrades, and the Proto-TRUK bot just happened to be hacked in by coincidence? Or... and this can add some juicy PLOT (even if it’s not relevant to the general series outline) that makes everyone, including Proto, gestalt members.
I don’t know any specifics, a lot of things would have to have built up to this, but I would suppose that Proto has been an established character for a bit, and maybe something something emotional conflict happened to sorta let this, return to form happen naturally? Like I don’t know, maybe they’re feeling under appreciated.
Another build up could be a ‘false betrayal’ kind of thing, as in Proto ‘betrays’ the crew by helping their gestalt get away with free, and most definitely dangerous tech. I mean sure they get beat up pretty bad because Ben has the uncanny talent to always break people’s vehicles (now in this case Proto’s own armour), but it could be reasoned that this was a way to prevent them from taking off themselves and maybe just harming other members of the gestalt.
The reward here for the crew is just picking their favourite weapon, armour or special tech set, and poor Taydenite car get’s their bling taken from them.
So perhaps in the latter case, if Otto had made these non-sentient machines into Cybertronians, it’s a little more... icky?
Given that this is Derrick J. Wyatt and, as stated earlier here, he was the art director for TFA, I’m sticking with the rules established there and, oh boy, what do you know, they can make Cybertronians from human tech. Now why not other alien tech too.
Now, those of you in the know, you’re probably asking how Otto got access to the allspark, the key or any sort of powersource linked to the Allspark or, as Black Arachnia put it; ‘something just as powerful’. Well, here in Omniverse, there are quite the selection of high-power energy sources that are most certainly illegal.
Otto may not be able to get it himself, being a rather immobile minibot he is, but of course, he himself has an organisation made for this schtick, The Violet Offenders. No doubt if they can’t buy their way to a powersource, they by all means can steal it for themselves.
There might be a few little technical issues here in which these powersources might not actually have the same abilities that the Allspark has (like actually giving the gift of life), but maybe the power itself can have mana or be magic based that Otto sorta manipulates to get the results that he wants.
Now here, the Khoros Car Show is also a tech demonstration, but not for the general automobile extraordinaires visiting. Many things were preplanned in advance, like tips and leaks about what cars were going to be displayed, but the encounter with Ben and crew (with a deliciously durable truck/spaceship too) was a happy little accident that Otto was all too happy to exploit.
I would say that Otto only gives the vehicles the power/coding when they’re all gathered outside (mainly to get that Proto-TRUK too), a lot of pretested lines were made to override the initial realisation that they’re now alive and skipped straight into the combiner form. See what I mean by icky? Under the command of Otto, newly formed gestalt leader and the only spark aware of what they’re doing, they began their first klicks of life fighting.
After everything’s settled and the adrenaline of everything is all over and done, the new Cybertronians, including Proto, all transform into their new root-form and are very confused as to what is going on. They still get a reward from capturing Otto, but also some gratitude from the bots (despite the beating they took) and maybe something something new rights for being alive and sentient again.
Sure Khoros just lost their runway cars, but there’s no way they ain’t gonna respect these Cybertronians after being essentially kidnapped (just a few minutes after being stolen) and maybe getting them in contact with Cybertron? I don’t know, but the Taydenite bot would offer their armour as partially a reward and partially because wearing money on your body is just asking for trouble and really, that’s the last thing they’d need.
Oh woops now Proto is a character now. Kinda like how Mixmaster and Scrapper immediately know a whole lot about construction and have a defined personality, I’m assuming the vague memories of being with Ben and Rook would convince them to stay with the crew and hopefully form new memories with the crime fighting duo.
Okay that was a long one, but from rewatching both series, I really got inspired by this episode specifically to talk about this. After writing both aus, I’m not sure which I like best, and each has their own interesting little thing I’m a big fan of not to toot my own horn or anything.

Pleasb give more info on the champagne!ben au I've only seen one post and I love it already 😭
is it because of the benrook lol the name is champagne cus i have this pen and its neat and reminds me of champageand i doodled with it
This is meant to be a Gwen 10 AU, but I often treat it as an evil Ben AU.
Gwen has the omnitrix, Kevin is a type of mutant called osmosian because I do not care much for osmosians as aliens (Achi if you’re reading this please don’t kill me jdfdhfjhf), Ben has alien powers that skipped a couple generations in the heritage line (everyone thinks it’s from Carls side but it’s from Sandras too), Max is there, Ken exists but he’s in college, etc.
Ben is a criminal going by Sparkshot and he's got powers, as in Merlinisapien/Chamalien powers, underdeveloped anodite powers, and he's really athletic due to taking self-defense classes and kickboxing and what not, anything he could find. I don't know much about fighting sports btw lol. Anyways, he uses his invisibility and agility and training to steal stuff. He doesn't even need it or anything hes just a litel theif.
This is mostly because he's rebelling. Max won't let him become a Plumber because he's worried he'll get hurt. Also, Ben wasn’t allowed to help Gwen 10 and Max as much due to 1) being a little reckless, 2) he got very injured once or twice and was in a coma for a week at one point.
Meanwhile, Ben is going through some stuff, and feels lost and without purpose. Max not wanting him to get hurt translates to him as Max not believing in him and as a result, Ben tries to become a vigilante. He’s good, if a little untrained, but when Max finds out he gets scared and forbids Ben from doing it again. Ben decides fuck this and p much goes “if they don’t want me to be good maybe I’ll be bad” and starts stealing stuff. It’s fun, it messes with Gwen, Kevin and Max, and he gets a kick out of it. They don’t initially realize it’s Ben, but find out eventually.
He gets his merlinisapien powers when he’s around 11 and his anodite powers appear around 16. Basically, if we think OS, AF-UA, OV, post-OS he gets invisibility and climbing/walking on walls, AF he goes vigilante, UA he’s caught and starts his criminal career, and starts to get anodite powers, and OV he porperly learns to use them.
He’s a big fan of making portals and spends a lot of time in the Null Void, practicing. That’s where he got his suit. He customized a Rooters suit he stole. He’s also got a warehouse by the docks or maye a secret lair in the Null Void where he stores the stuff he’s stolen.
Kevin was evil in OS, who can honestly blame him tho lol, and most of his story is the same. He joined Gwen and the magister to catch the Forever Knights, and helped Ben and Gwen try to find Max because they tried to help him when he was 11. He’s slightly influenced by the Rooters, who want to destroy Gwen, and ends up sticking around despite having been thrown into the Null Void by them too.
He knew Ben was vigilanteing and thinks Max is kind of a dope for not letting Ben help, just like Gwen. He’s also the one who usually sticks up for Ben when they need him for something. They were together for a while but eventually broke up because Kevin wasn’t sure what he wanted, and Ben was going through a lot and it caused conflicts and insecurity.
He still fights Aggregor, who is in reality a defecting Rooter trying to stop Servantis. Servantis warps their minds and makes them think he’s evil. He’s sent to jail. Aggregor also is an osmosian, but a different species than Kevin. During the Rooters arc, he joins Servantis PSYCHE he’s saving Gwens ass.
Gwen gets the omnitrix when she’s 10, she becomes a superbusy superhero, etc. She struggles a lot with balancing her hero life and regular life.
Sher eally wants to go to college, especially at that college shes in in OV i dont know what its called dont @ me. She can’t just stop being a hero or leave Bellwood and after Ben turned over a new leaf and decided to do crime she certainly can’t leave.
Her cousin needs to be stopped, her boyfriend that she just started dating, Kevin, is going through something (the mindcontrol makes him moody because he’s not in control or anything and subconciously he knows somethings going on and can’t tell what it is), Max has his hands full with Ben and all the other criminals in Bellwood, and Rook just joined their team and needs to be properly introduced to life on Earth and as a Plumber.
When Kevin goes missing in the Rooters arc she goes to Ben and begs him to help. Ben makes her beg, just cus he’s a dick. He admits he was gonna help her even if she refused to beg, and Gwen smacks his smoothie out of his hands.
Rooks story is the same, except there’s this bitch ass Tennyson who refuses to stop doing crime and calls him dude. He joined the Plumbers because he’d heard of Gwen Ten on the extranet and whatnot, basically the same as he did with Ben in Prime. He’s incredibly stubborn when Ben is involved in helping save the world and doesn’t trust him. It’s hard for him to understand his motivations. He’s BFFs with Kevin, and Gwen is 90% sure she’s gonna lose Kevin to him lol.
He’s still figuring out why Ben saved him that one time, despite having just arrested him.
Argit has the same role, except he knew Ben went vigilante before Kevin. When Ben turned criminal, he also was the one to warn Kevin. He knew Ben before Kevin told Ben and Gwen about him.
Ken is in college.
Vilgax hates Gwen.
Albedo has the same story for some parts except he looks like Gwen, doesn’t brush his hair, and spends all his money on black lipstick and nailpolish. Also he drinks a fuckton of fruit punch and at some point decided to cut his hair. It looked like he’d just broken some mirror and cut the hair off with one of the pieces, because that’s what he did, so Gwen forced him to visit Sandra with her so she could cut his hair. Although he still tries to take the omnitrix sometimes, and he made the Ultimatrix and his OV Ultimatrix, he isn’t evil and doesn’twant gwen to be dead. Anymore. She talked Max into hiring him, and talked Albedo into letting them try to help him. He’s mostly regained a stable galvan forme, although he does still need the Ultimatrix to stablilize him. He’s not fully content with his predicament but he can live with it. He helps Gwen and Team Tennyson, and tells Blukic and Dreeba to Shut The Fuck Up on a daily basis.
Charmcaster dislikes Gwen but that’s Bens fault. he keeps teleporting into Ledger Domain and telling her to transform into sailor moon go magic girl go and it annoys her.
Wow this got long lol

New Future AU where Ben never loses his joy of hero at the age 20, Kevin never goes insane by sending him into the Null Void. The new future AU Ben and Gwen don't see their younger selves; Also Gwen and Kevin are married by having Devlin as their only child, and Ben and Rook get married and have 3 children!

Random: We know Argit and Kevin spent an appreciable length of time in the Null Void, surviving however they survived, think it would be an interesting storyline to have something with fuckers getting stuck there and one or more of them basically having to keep everyone else alive until they can get out. Get us more of what it's like trying to survive in the Null Void, the techniques you learn, show with a keen edge the results of being a pair of unsupervised children trying to get by and escape a hellhole like that on their psyches.
For some reason my brain is specifically giving me images of this in a 'Ben, Rook, and Argit team-up for OV' au, with Ben and Rook both being 1) blindsided by Argit freaking the fuck out as soon as he realizes where they are, 2) the contrast between that and the way he pulls himself together and gets So Very Serious because keeping up like that is only going to make him vulnerable and he's the only one with applicable survival skills, and 3) just how much he knows and how capable he is in that environment.
Would make for a good glimpse into the character for either of them, but Argit specifically.

The Rook
Au service surnaturel de Sa Majesté, tome 1
Tumblr media
Auteurice : Daniel O’Malley
Maison d’édition : Pocket
Date de publication : 2013
Nombre de pages : 664
Genre : Fantastique

b: kevin e. levin.
BASICS
Name: Kevin Levin. Age: 17 Gender: Male Hometown: New York City, New York Birthday: November 11. Species: Half-human, half-Osomosian. Sexuality: Heterosexual Affiliations: The Plumbers. Team Ten. Occupation: Criminal ( former ), Terrorist ( former ), Con Artist ( former ), Alien Tech Dealer ( former ), Plumber, Hero, Mechanic. Faceclaim: Nathan Keyes, Brant Daugherty.
APPEARANCE
Hair: Black colour, long, mullet-esque style.
Eye Colour: Dark Brown.
Height: 5'11".
Weight: 172 lbs.
Clothing: Black shirt, jeans, black combat boots.
Body Type: Muscular, broad shoulders, very tall.
PERSONALITY
When Kevin was eleven, Kevin showed some capacity to sociopathic tendencies, such as attempting to derail a train, which would kill hundreds of people. He also had a negative view on life in general, felt insecure, and had a low self-esteem since many people bullied him. He hated other people and society, and he was paranoid as he had believed that no one was innocent and that everyone was going to make fun of him, but it was just that everyone hadn’t had a chance yet. It didn’t help that his stepfather, who married his mother after his father had died, was afraid of him.
When he was put in the Null Void by Ben Tennyson, his outlook on life started to change when he met Kwarrel, a fellow prisoner there. Kwarrel became a mentor and a father-figure to him, which helped him to become more stable and kind of mature. He no longer killed innocent people ( although, he had no qualms against killing criminals ). He joined Ben and Gwen when a plumber died after saving his life, and, over time and through friendship with and acceptance from Ben and Gwen, he became a more trustworthy and reliable member of the team.
However, he still, at times, acts like a criminal. He does tend to steal technology and money from the criminals they defeat, which he uses to help repair his car when it gets wrecked, and he does engage on small, criminal acts on the side, such as selling weapons on both sides of a war. He also tends to be cynical and insensitive, but he does hate it when innocent people are in trouble.
Kevin also still suffers from some insecurities, which are most evident when he is mutated. The second time he mutated, he was visibly disgusted with himself and fluctuated between bouts of uncontrollable aggression and severe depression that jeopardised his relationships, especially with Gwen. As Ultimate Kevin, he voiced his frustration against Ben for being a famous superhero and him “still” being a freak.
He is very protective over his car. Touch it, and die.
POWERS AND ABILITIES
As a half Osmosian, Kevin has the abilities of his alien ancestry.
Energy Absorption: Kevin can absorb and use energy in several different ways, including to manipulate technology, discharge it as an energy blast, or use it to heal himself or make himself stronger. However, the use of this part of his powers will make him mentally unstable and addicted to it ( just like addictive drugs ).
Power Absorption: Kevin can take and use the powers of other people and aliens. If he fully absorbs them, then he will kill that person; however, he will only gain about a tenth of their strength. This part of his power also makes me mentally unstable and addicted to it.
Matter Absorption: Kevin can take any material and coat his skin with it in a protective cover. This can also help to augment his strength. He can also absorb several different kinds of material at once and coat other people. Now, he only needs a small amount of material to coat himself with.
Matter Manipulation: Kevin can regenerate matter ( an example of when he had a coating of metal on and his hand had been cut off, and he managed to regrow his hand with the metal coating on ). He can also change the material and his body to blades, keys to pick locks, hammers, and other objects. He can also repair objects with the material he has coated on, and whenever he absorbs liquids, he can allow attacks to phase right through him without injury to himself.
Super Strength & Durability: Even when Kevin does not have a coating of metal on him, Kevin is still stronger than most humans and is able to withstand against attack that would injure regular people.
Martial Arts: Kevin also has some skill in martial arts, which he’s picked up from his various years in the Null Void, as a criminal, and as a Plumber. With his size, strength, and skills, he is a formidable fighter.
Knowledge and Intelligence: Kevin has a vast and deep knowledge on tech of any sort, be it alien or human technology. He can also upgrade and make alterations to various objects, even those created by the Galvin, who are one of the most, if not the most, intelligent races in the universe. He is also a great mechanic and engineering, building and re-building his car and giving it upgrades as well as building Ben Tennyson a car. He also has great analytical and deductive reasoning skills and is great with maths, but he never got a full education since he was imprisoned in the Null Void since he was eleven. As such, he doesn’t know much about Earth subjects.
HISTORY
Kevin was three years old when his father, Devin Levin, dies after saving the universe. His mother married a man named Harvey Hackett when he was four, and Kevin hated him. It didn’t help that Harvey was frightened by Kevin and his powers, and this came into fruition when Kevin was ten, almost eleven. He accidentally managed to absorb energy and demolished the house, and Harvey ran him out. Due to his insanity, he believed that Harvey had also convinced his mother to kick him out, and so he ran away from home into the heart of New York City.
basically he tried to kill a bunch of people and then got stuck in alien jail. at some point, he breaks out and then goes on to become a criminal and deal in alien tech. five years later, at the age of sixteen, he joins ben and gwen tennyson and becomes a space cop and a superhero. now he’s a superhero at the age of seventeen. the end.
AREAS OF CANON DIVERGENCE
Kat ( manaborn ) and I have made an au plot to gwevin – instead of them being immediately attracted to each other, Gwen was wary around and suspicious around Kevin, which Kevin thought was pretty smart of her. Over time, and after becoming friends, they start to date each other.
Omniverse will not and will never be canon to my Kevin. The only character that I really liked from it was Rook, so Rook becoming a team with Ben will be the only canon from Omniverse that I will accept.
