I think it's incredibly important to remind folks on testosterone or folks who want to reverse patterned baldness about their options, but man, does it sometimes suck wondering how much of our insecurities about our hair stem from backwards beliefs that to strive towards beauty is not only preferable but "makes you good."

As someone with a rather masculinized body pre-medical transition, patterned baldness has always seemed neutral. Hair is incredibly important (hell, much of my own energy is spent on my hair because I like it), but the pressure to have hair, to have hair the "right way" is something that I absolutely loathe.

I'm not here to judge people who don't want patterned hair loss or baldness, I'm here to say that those traits will never make you lesser. Not only is it neutral, but it is also just as worthy and beautiful.

thinking about how there’s probably a small amount of darry that blames ponyboy. he doesn’t really want to but his little brothers forgetfulness is the reason his parents are dead right. darry can’t really say anything because he’s forgotten things too, but his forgetfulness never led to such drastic consequences, and even if they dead darry would’ve went to great lengths to try and never forget something again. but pony? it seems as if he’s forgetting things more and more, dare he say on purpose. and ponyboy’s not stupid, quite the opposite, so darry can’t really fathom why ponyboy isn’t using his head.

idk im rly just thinking about how if i were darry (i am) i too would be pissed to high heavens if pony forgot something or didn’t use his head because despite my best intentions i would start to associate pony forgetting to someone dying and that would create the most insane anxiety

Don’t know if it’s against the rules to complete TWO egg projects. However I’m learning to become a silversmith and I’ve finished my first ring. It’s not perfect at all, but many hours of time and effort and a whole lot of learning are in it!

Fidgeting with his hands so anxiously that he's scratching or hurting himself, and one of his friends noticing and holding his hands gently to stop him.

Falling asleep on a friend after he's had Too Many Emotions (and getting hair kisses from them ofc :3 )

Fear and hurt and distress working its way out of him in a burst of uncontrollable anger - and then suddenly stopping as he realises he's lost control, and either turning completely slack, or getting panicky about what just happened.

Feeling a lot, but not understanding what he's feeling enough to explain it to anyone else. (And dissociating when it becomes Far Too Much to even try to figure it out.)

Fumbling around the subject but completely avoiding the point until one of his friends figures out what he's trying to say/ asks him a direct enough question that he can't put off saying it any longer.
