Kingsglaive Legends 2023! Organised by @calling4glaives
Day 2: AU & Life After (Feat. Luche & Nyx, Pelna, Crowe, Libertus and Drautos)
I’m classing this as an AU even though it will appear in my fic, because I am intending most of the Glaive to survive… so it’s kind of AU but most of the main plot of the game and film still happens
Little context: at the start of The Long Night, Cor and Titus buy a penthouse apartment in Lestallum and they get bunk beds to accommodate their close friends and “family” so that they all have a safe place to live and don’t have to worry about accommodation themselves… also there’s a little teaser to Violet and Nyx’s relationship ☺️🥰
A year into The Long Night
Luche climbed the stairs to the apartment he shared with the rest of the Glaive, he’d just got back to Lestallum after a supply run.
He unlocked the door and pushed it open, being hit by the strong smells of curry being prepared in the kitchen, Libertus was working with Crowe to prepare the evening meal for everyone, there were a lot of people living in this apartment, so Libertus was hard at work, throwing various spices into the large 2 handled pan, while Crowe was carving up the Dualhorn steaks into bite sized cubes.
“Hey, Luche!” Nyx stepped out the bathroom, he had clearly just had a shower, “how’d your supply run go?”
“Ok, not great, we didn’t get much, but I did manage to bring back some more resources for the Power Station, so it wasn’t a complete loss” Nyx clapped him on the shoulder while Luche looked around, it seemed to him that they were the only ones in the large apartment at the moment. “Where is everyone?”
“Pelna was called to help Monica with some communication problems, Drautos and Cor had a meeting with Holly, Violet was helping Iris at her shop and the Kings friends are still out on a mission, most of them will be back soon” Nyx pointed over his shoulder to the bathroom, “we’ve still got some hot water and you’ve got time for a shower if you want, dinner is probably going to be another hour or so”
By the time Luche had showered and changed most of the others who lived in the apartment had arrived; Titus was now helping Libertus and Crowe prepare dinner, Cor was discussing something with Pelna and Iris was bouncing her nephew on her knee while Nyx and Violet sat together on the opposite sofa, Violet saw Luche leave the bathroom and gave him a smile.
Luche had been so unsure about the apartment at first, the idea of so many people sharing a space was bound to cause issues, but he’d been wrong, so far there had been no problems, the people who could cook took it in turns to cook the evening meals, and if they needed help, others would step up, but there was never any arguments or shouting. Everyone offered to help Violet and Nyx with their son if he was crying, or they offered to babysit him, like Iris was doing now, just to give them an hour or 2 to themselves. The house work was everyone’s responsibility, you cleaned up after yourself, it was only fair, and everyone was responsible for their own belongings.
Luche sat down next to Iris and reached over to her nephew, who was laughing and clapping every time she bounced her knee, Luche tickled him under his chin and he squealed happily before he took hold of Luche’s finger and looked at him, he had the same rich amber eyes as his mother and aunt but he had his fathers hair colour; an unkempt tuft of slate grey hair covered the top of his head.
“You always grab my finger when I do that” Luche spoke to the baby boy, who cooed in response
“He likes you Luche” Iris said “isn’t that right!” She said and she gave her nephew a tickle, now that his attention was back on her she began pulling faces, making him laugh even more than before.
Luche leant back on the sofa and looked at the group, Titus, Lib and Crowe were working together in the kitchen and Cor and Pelna were joining them on the sofas now that their discussion was done, they had become a family over the year they’d been living together and although times were much harder now, Luche wouldn’t change it for anything

hear me out vampire x vampire hunter ffxv au.....
nyx is a vampire, his village was attacked. His mother was killed but him and his sister were bitten but they managed to get away.... but his sister couldn’t handle it...so she didn’t make it.
Nyx was struggling but he could control his urges, he was actually taken in by a vampire hunter, Regis. He is head of his clan...he knew Nyx was a vampire but took him in anyway because he saw the potential. It came with its ups and downs but Nyx became in debt to him and promised to watch over his son.
Nyx watches over Noctis to keep him safe and out of trouble, which comes with its troubles because its Noctis we’re talking about... He has prompto and the boys to get him in/out of trouble.
poor nyx has his work cut out for him, god forbid its a new moon...and thats when he has to go away from everyone because his urges get alittle wild. He also suffers with trauma from his village and sister too... oof
aside from angst, vampire nyx acting as a vampire hunter and body guard to protect Noctis. And he has to fight other vamps, werewolves and other dark entities...but he prevails.
sliding in my oc because reasons,
she’d be a vampire hunter/ mercenary, she was tasked with kidnapping the prince for money. She was bored and had nothing better to do so she accepted it, course she didn’t count on running into nyx.
They crossed blows and she found out he was a vampire, of course she lost their little battle and was locked up. He later comes and questions her, why didn’t she snitch on him.
she simply states that would be a dirty win, she could have done that....but she likes fair fights. though human to vampire fight...isn’t really fair.
stuff happens and she gets a chance to redeem herself, but she’s warned and she blows it off. Noctis’s home is attacked and things happen.. Noctis is taken and Nyx’s little secret is blown..but not by her.
so thus begins a quest of nyx, my oc and few dorks as they try to retrieve noctis.... Oh yeah prompto has collected a shite ton of garlic and stakes so just incase nyx tries something he’ll stabby stabby.

*rubs hands together* you ready for this? I'm a numbers bitch, so those bullet points will be numbered. NSFW ask meme numbers: 3-7, 13, 17, 18, and shared kinks/fetishes for our good fam Sam and Darcy. And let's spice it up by adding Nyx and Bri. Have fun 🌞🌞🌞
And I am the bitch who really went at it @oc-musings so enjoy this steaming pile of sin I wrote on a Sunday morning.
N*sfw under the cut.
Ship meme n*sfw edition
Sam and Darcy
How often do they have sex?
Everyday Well, on a weekly basis, more or less three to four times a week. Though this would be different if they’re actively trying to get pregnant. Sam would faithfully follow Darcy’s cycle, and she even blocks evenings on his calendar during her ovulation period to remind him that he has someone to do, and that someone is her.
(Once, in the middle of a night out with Nathan and Sully, Sam had to excuse himself when the alarm on his phone off, and it is almost hilarious that Darcy changed his alarm tone to Careless Whisper, and Nathan’s like, “What the fuck is that?” to which Sam casually replies, “Gentlemen, I believe that is my cue to go home and make love to my wife.”)
Who is louder/noisier?
Surprisingly, Sam is louder lmao. Darcy is really not much of a screamer but a whimperer, so his groans and grunts are louder than the noises she makes. And she likes it, the way he sounds so hungry for her, the way she makes him feel good. The weight of him. The danger.
...Okay, maybe the only exception is when Sam makes Darcy come hard. One would think someone just got murdered in their bedroom.
Who is more sensitive?
Darcy. She has a lot of ticklish spots, and boy oh boy does Sam enjoy teasing the living shit out of her.
What’s foreplay often like?
An intense, sensual mess. Their mouths are made to worship. This is how they sing hallelujah. Sam is a giver, so what choice does he have but to give her all he has? And so he makes every kiss count, every touch, every moan as if it were his last. As if it all weighs fifteen years of him being apart from her. He explores the space of her skin like a man starved and colonizes it. Finds home in the warmth between her thighs until she is screaming his name. Finds no rest until she is coming on his face. And she lets him exhaust her like this. She always, always lets him.
But Darcy is a giver, too, and she refuses to let Sam do all the work. She returns the kisses with her own, leaves one for every scar that marks his skin. She may not be a woman of faith, but this is how she likes getting on her knees. Wraps her pretty pink mouth all over him. Her tongue is soft and warm, and he is harder than ever. She swallows when he comes. And he lets her savour him like this. He always, always lets her.
And god, the sight of her taking him in, the bob of her head, the sweet delicious pop is enough for Sam to lose his fucking mind.
Favorite place to have sex?
Kitchen. Sam likes going down on Darcy as he pushes her to sit on the countertop, her legs over his shoulders, her hands all over his hair. Fucking her with his mouth is his favourite way to start his day. Heck, fucking in the kitchen in general is and will always be their favourite way to start their day. Then they get to have pancakes afterwards. I mean, mornings done right tbh.
Do they have sexual nicknames or titles?
Nothing in particular, actually. Although, Sam realizes that Darcy gets to call him “Sam” only when in bed and he kinda digs that.
How long can they go?
Depends? Normally, 2-3 rounds, tops. They’re not getting any younger, so. 😂
What are their safewords?
Cheese and/or pasta.
Shared kinks/fetishes?
Roleplay! (Their ideas are almost hilarious like... hot priest Sam inspired from Fleabag? Darcy’s idea. Darcy as a sexy wartime nurse, and he an injured soldier? Definitely Sam’s.) Also, bondage to some extent! (I’ve mentioned it here before but Sam isn’t really a fan of roleplaying any form of physical violence with Darcy.) And also watching each other masturbate? Is something they find impossibly hot?? Bonus if Darcy does this in her lingerie????? God help their thirsty ass souls???
Nyx and Briony
How often do they have sex?
Depends if they are not deployed in the battlefield, but under normal circumstances, they do it.... twice a day lmao.
Who is louder/noisier?
Briony. She’s a screamer and Nyx enjoys the shit out of it especially when she calls out for his name. Gods. He likes to let the rest of their neighbours to know that someone is getting the best fuck of their lives and it is happening in their goddamn room.
Who is more sensitive?
Still Briony. That’s why she’s always a weeping, heaving mess because Nyx definitely makes the most out of this.
What’s foreplay often like?
A disastrous mess. Kisses, all teeth and tongue. Her fingers scraping his scalp, the curve of his back. Nyx is a generous man, and so he lovingly returns the favour by giving her the pleasure she deserves with his hands and mouth. All for her, all for her, all for her. He likes the way she writhes when he fucks her with his deft fingers. He likes the needy way she moans his name. And he likes it best when he gets to devour her like a man starved until she is begging for her to fuck her senseless.
Favorite place to have sex?
Kingsglaive HQ shower room when no one’s around. Briony’s sofa. The library.
Do they have sexual nicknames or titles?
Nyx calls Briony his “little vixen.” Briony often calls him “my hero” in bed, and it’s actually the only time Nyx doesn’t mind being called that.
How long can they go?
Five! Nyx has the stamina of a mighty stallion, much to Briony’s dismay, but she tries to keep up, pee in between rounds, hydrate, go back to bed, and return to the fucking of her life.
What are their safewords?
Whiskey (Briony’s suggestion, because then they’d automatically think of their feline Messenger lmao)
Shared kinks/fetishes?
Nyx actually likes being tied up and being dominated by Briony, so... there’s that and a lot of that.

The Vanguard - Chapter 7
Happy Holiday Season, y’all. I’ve been doing some writing that I’ve forgotten to post. I’ve got a few things up my sleeve I hope to have up over the season. Hopefully, the girls will be back in full force along with a new story that I intended to be one chapter per Chocobro but probably will be longer because my brain takes off sometimes.
Get ready for angst and backstory.
XXX
Eirwen had been silent since the incident several hours before. Gladio had steered her away from the training area of the Citadel and into the back garden in hopes the quiet and seclusion would give her some peace. For hours he had watched her pace, absently trailing fingers over the stone walls and leaving a trail of ice behind her. Finally unable to watch her self loath any longer, Gladio had dared to speak and ask her where she wanted to go. Her answer had been a vague “anywhere that’s not here” before he had handed her his extra helmet and they sped off through the busy streets of Insomnia. She had followed him almost blindly until she heard him rattle his keys as he opened the door to his apartment - conveniently across the street from the building Prince Noctis had recently taken up residence.
The apartment was entirely decorated in dark leathers, navy blue, and dark wood. Photos of scenic mountain views and pictures of his family were scattered along the walls. “This is...impressive,” Eirwen paused as she caught sight of the floor to ceiling custom shelves that housed an incredible number of books - most bound in hardbacks with titles covering subjects ranging from history to culture to largest number of war and strategy books she had ever seen outside of that section in the Citadel library. She also noted the fair number of fiction books scattered throughout and couldn’t help but see that more than one seemed to be romance novels. Trailing her finger over their spines, she was shocked to see how immaculate the collection was - no creases or signs or weather and absolutely not dust to be seen.
Keys clattered somewhere behind her as Gladio deposited them into the bowl by the door and removed his heavy boots. “Bit of a hoarder when it comes to books. Coffee or tea?”
Pulling an old leather-bound tomb from the shelf, Eirwen scanned the pages of a guerilla warfare strategy written in Ancient Lucien. “Milk?”
“Coconut.”
Nodding, Eirwen carefully thumbed through the yellowing pages. “Coffee, then.” Various sounds of cabinets opening and shutting and then of a brewing coffee pot filtered around her as she scanned the old runes advising on the importance of partners and scouting teams.
Minutes late, Gladio handed her a steaming cup of fresh coffee that was just the right shade of dark caramel. He took up residence on the couch beside her, careful not to touch her but remaining close enough that she might know he meant to offer her comfort if she needed it.
Looking at her now, Eirwen looked nothing like the ice goddess she had appeared to be earlier in the day. Currently, her skin was flushed pink from worry and the heat of the coffee, her blue eyes bright with something akin to anger but without such force. She had tucked her legs under herself and curled into the corner of the couch as if trying to take up a strategic position to protect herself. Gladio had never witnessed such power before today - not even when King Regis had renewed the power that held up the wall protecting the city of Insomnia. It was incredible to think that any mortal could wield such power.
Exhaling, Eirwen closed the book with a sense of finality and caught the slight jump from Gladio out of the corner of her eye. Rubbing at her forehead, she forced herself to speak evenly. “You’re scared of me now?” She hoped she hadn’t sounded angry when Gladio was the only person who seemed willing and eager to listen to things from her perspective without jumping in and trying to give her advice. He was her partner in battle.
“Scared of you?” Gladio readjusted himself so that he more easily faced her but did his best to appear relaxed as he reclined his arms across the back and sipped his cooling coffee. “I’m not afraid of you, snowflake. I’m worried for you. There’s a big difference.”
A humorless laugh escaped her. Leaning forward, she twisted the length of her pale locks between her fingers and focused on controlling her emotions so as not to turn the Shield-in-Training’s apartment into a meat locker. “Don’t worry about me. I’m always ready for battle.” In fact, punching something sounded like a wonderful idea at the moment.
Finishing his coffee, Gladio deposited the cup onto the coffee table before making a show of giving her his full attention. “I’m not doubting your training and abilities - a few rounds with you on the training mats has proven you’re more than capable in that department. What happened earlier between you and Amira has me worried. I felt...whatever that was that you pushed out at her. I watched her freeze over. I saw your expression when you pulled yourself back out.” He didn’t ask her to explain, nor did he demand answers or promises that she wouldn’t do the same to him.
“I don’t know what to tell you, Gladio. I can’t explain it. It happened once, years ago. Amira…” trailing off, Eirwen raked her hands through her hair in frustration as if hoping to pull the words from her head. “It was like she
me when I was completely broken - or at least patched me back together. I wanted to try to do the same for her but I couldn’t find it, I couldn’t find what hurt her.” Tears of frustration threatened to spill from her eyes and she angrily wiped at them. “I couldn’t do the same for her. What good is this power if I can’t even protect the people I care about.” Forcing herself up from the couch, she marched over to the large window looking down on the busy streets below and pressed her forehead against the cool glass hoping to calm herself down. “She’s the only family I have.”
Silence rang out through the apartment. Distant sirens and the sounds of city life filtered between the two warriors to break up the deafening quiet. Gladio, for all his reading and knowledge in how to handle emotional trauma when related to combat, loss, and injury, was at a complete loss. Another not so well kept secret of the Twins: bad family relations. To his knowledge, Eirwen had none to speak of. In the file Cor had given him in preparation for his first mission with her, she was listed as a ward of the Citadel until she had become of legal age. Gladio, on the other hand, was fortunate enough to have an actual family.
“You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. I’ve got your back now, Eirwen - on and off the battlefield.” Gladio walked past her to the kitchen to put away the dirty dishes as he spoke, hoping not to make her feel pressured or closed in. “People care about you.” He had seen the way Crowe, Libertus, Pelna, and Nyx were with her and it was clear they had forged a bond that was deeper than camaraderie or friendship.
Across town and shaking from over exertion and residual tingles of forced magic, Amira leaned against the window from her perch. Purple lightning cracked in the distance each time her fingers twitched. It had been hours since the incident and she could still feel the sorrow in her heart left by Eirwen just before their connection snapped. The bone deep chill had left her almost as soon as it had arrived but now she felt oddly warm in a way that reminded her of post fever.
Nyx had been kind enough to make her a pot of gunpowder tea, piping hot and slightly bitter. She also vaguely noticed that he had switched on the radio to a low jazz to fill the ringing silence of her mind. He moved with familiarity and confidence in her home and she couldn’t help feeling both grateful and annoyed at the same time.
“You don’t need to stay.” She hated how quiet and weak her voice sounded but she felt the need to at least offer him a way out of the current situation. Other than Eirwen, she wasn’t really accustomed to anyone trying to take care of her even after her injury.
“And you don’t need to catch the flu pressed against the window, princess.” Nyx chuckled at the obscene hand motion Amira quickly shot his way and was relieved to see she seemed to be clawing her way back out of herself. “I’m not going anywhere until we figure this out.” When Amira opened her mouth to argue, he was quick to stop her and refocus her attention on the larger goal in hopes of getting her to face the current issue. “We’ll be called back into the field any day now and since you’ve been cleared, I need to know you’re in the right headspace.” If he couldn’t get her to consider the issue as a work-related problem, he would have no hope of getting her to open up about personal issues.
Nodding, Amira worried the warm mug between her fingers. “I told you, I felt something snap. I’ve never felt her so far away - not when we’re separated by thousands of miles.” Assuring her that the connection could be fixed, Nyx urged her to continue. “Whatever she was looking for...something seemed to break her heart.”
“I’m sure she’s just worried about you. The two of you have always had each other -” Nyx stopped short as his phone vibrated in his pocket. The only people that had his number were Glaives and other work associates and the only time it rang was due to some work related issue. Fishing it out from the pocket of his jeans, he was surprised to see Pelna’s name lighting up the screen. “Report,” he offered by way of greeting.
Amira watched and Nyx’s eyes narrowed slightly and his stubbled jaw clenched. Though Pelna couldn’t see him, he nodded several times and made agreeable noises to urge him to continue. After a few moments, Nyx ended the call and ran a hand over his suddenly weary face. This time, it was Amira who was concerned by the sudden quiet. “Seems we have a bit of work to do.”
“Pelna cracked the firewall and found some sort of list he immediately sent to Cor - who informed him that several emissaries from the Empire are planning a visit to attend the Foreign Relations Gala in a few days.” A crease had taken up residence on Nyx’s forehead as he repeatedly ran the conversation through his mind.
Shocked, Amira was silent for a moment as she processed the information. “They’re not planning a confrontation in front of a room of international dignitaries. Could they have realized that I copied that file?”
“There’s no way they’re that stupid. They’re up to something, though. Pelna also reported increased military activity at the northern border - encampments, patrol, the works.” Sighing, he leaned back against the counter and studied Amira closely. “Looks like the vacation is over.” He paused momentarily hoping to choose his next words correctly. “You’re not going to...like what I have in mind.”
Sighing, Amira pulled herself up from the window and stood to face her partner. “I rarely do,” she reassured him.
XXX
Unlike her Twin, Amira had grown up in what anyone on the outside looking in would consider a perfect home. Malcolm and Nadia Everet were the storybook couple - Malcolm hailed from one of the richest, self-made families in all Lucis while Nadia, coming from old Lucian nobility, had been raised as if she herself were next in line to the throne. When the two had married nearly three decades earlier, neither bride or groom had ever laid eyes on the other prior to meeting at the altar and both had approached the scenario as if it were a business transaction to further themselves and their families. When Amira had been born, she had instantly become the new bargaining chip for her parents and had been ushered through years of etiquette classes, ballroom dance lessons, advanced tutoring, fashion and beauty seminars, and all the formal parties her parents could drag her to. Amira had grinned and curtsied through it all, praying to the Six for a way out.
Things had remained tortuously the same until her fifteenth birthday. For years, she had begged her parents to allow her to train with her paternal uncle and member of the Royal Kingsguard, Declan - her justification being that she should know how to defend herself should her pedigree ever put her in harm’s way. Finally, after much pressure from her uncle, her parents had relented and allowed her to train two days a week for a few hours in place of the cardio workout her personal trainer had devised for her. Immediately, she had fallen in love with the raw violence and unstructured chaos that came from physical combat and had shown real promise for someone so young. Her uncle worked with her continuously had been able to nearly ensure her a position within the guard after her college graduation, even going so far as to go against her parent’s wishes for her by involving King Regis himself. She couldn’t have found anything more removed from her original life if she had tried - or at least she had thought until her training accident had sealed her fate.
Uncomfortable falling back into bad memories, Amira kept fidgeting in her seat and pulling at the garment she had hoped she would never wear. The couture gown had been stashed away in its original box since her parents had sent it to her over a year ago in hopes of enticing her back into the spotlight her family thrived in. The saving grace was that the dress was at least mostly black. Made of the highest quality black satin and an overlay of organza, the floor length gown possessed a custom fitted corset with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline that dipped between her breasts exposing a bit more skin than she felt entirely comfortable with. The draped split sleeves fell beyond her wrists, perfectly displaying the tattoo of delicate roses twisting and blooming down her arm, and a careful slit ran up the long skirt to her mid thigh on one side. Hand embroidered gold applique leaves and vines decorated the bodice and skirts while the sleeves and trims were encrusted with shimmering gold glass beads. She had paired the dress with a pair of black designer pumps with a scarlet bottom adorned with a criss-crossing straps that buckled just above the ankle and glittering gold and diamond drop earrings. She’d had to buy new makeup as she had avoided wearing it as much as possible in recent years and had opted for a heavy-handed winged eyeliner and a dark plum lipstick.
“If you pull continue to pull at the dress, you’re going to end up ripping it before we get to the gala.”
Sighing, Amira arched a perfectly filled in brow at her uncle Declan who was comfortably dressed in his usual Guard uniform of black slacks and dress shirt. He’d only added a jacket and patent leather shoes to his daily ensemble. “You know how much I hate this. I thought by becoming a Glaive I could wipe my hands of all this.” Contempt leaked into her words as she studied her black and gold manicure.
Chuckling, Declan straightened his jacket and offered his niece a knowing grin. His salt and pepper hair mixed with the warm gold of his eyes had always made him so much more inviting than her father. “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten how to walk in heels already? I thought we raised you better than that.”
Immediately, Amira flipped him off with her glittering gold-tipped finger and flipped her half pinned up hair over one shoulder. “Please. We both know I came out of the womb wearing a pair of six inch pumps.” Thankfully, the sleek black vehicle came to a stop and the back door was opened by a smirking hero. “Don’t start with me tonight,” Amira warned Nyx as she slid across the leather seats and carefully out onto the sidewalk before the Citadel.
Flashing lights erupted from either side of her. As if flipping a switch, Amira smiled for the photographers pushed back her shoulders until she felt the familiar ache beginning in her spine. Declan was quick to take up her elbow as he too paused to allow the paparazzi a moment to capture his image. As the two moved forward towards the grand entrance, Nyx moved to her other side as if to shield her from the cameras. Speaking quickly, Nyx spoke just loud enough for the two Everets to hear him. “Many of the foreign dignitaries have already arrived but no one has spotted anyone from the Empire yet. The others are posted up inside and I will be positioned to see the entire ballroom.” Holding out a gloved hand to Amira, Nyx offered her nearly perfectly clear earpiece. “Pelna just finished these this morning. Don’t worry about it not picking up your voice if you speak quietly, it’s been calibrated to your voice specifically.”
Declan ushered Amira through the glass door before heading to the elevator and pressing the correct floor. “I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but your parents are here and they would like to speak with you. Try not to get blood on the dress.”
Groaning, Amira thumped her head back against the onyx wall of the elevator during her brief moment of normalcy. Tonight, she was once again Amira Everet, heir to the Everet fortune and darling daughter of Malcolm and Nadia. Of course, they had not been briefed on the plan the Vanguard and the Kingsguard were to execute. To them, their daughter was finally coming to her senses. “Six, I am going to need an entire bottle of champagne.” She could already feel the headache beginning to bloom in her temple.

Eve, Nyx and Pelna hiked in the tall grass, down the hill from Coernix Station to Alstor Slough where their prey resided. They had not needed to walk very far to confirm that the catoblepas beast was chilling in the middle of the lake. It could be easily seen from a great distance away.
It was huge.
“That thing is bigger that the Archaean’s fist!” Nyx jeered as they were coming closer.
“And yet, it still loses to your ego,” Pelna said smirking.
Eve giggled.
“Very funny,” Nyx scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“She laughed.” Pelna shrugged, motioning towards Eve.
Nyx threw a we-will-discuss-this-later look at her and she skimmed back sheepishly. Eve could not have ever anticipated what a pain it would be to be twenty-four hours a day in the company of someone whose clothes she wanted to rip off.
Nyx was making the most of the situation. He enjoyed immensely seeing Eve’s cheeks darken in a blush at his nonchalant touches or bawdy comments. The sexual tension between them was building up and Nyx could not wait for the moment when Eve wouldn’t be able to handle it anymore.

Marry Me! Nyx Ulric x OC
Marry me - Nyx Ulric x Oc
____________________________________________________________________________
HERE IS THE NEXT SERIES!!!! WOOP! Well this was heavily influenced by the Hallmark Movie A December Bride, though it’s mostly this chapter as the rest is different!  Yup I watched a Christmas movie in the middle of summer… more like I am a sap for wedding movies XD.  However, this will get a NSFW portion to it at some point the whole thing will not be rated NSFW.  This is fluff, and emotion throughout.  I hope you like this one!
____________________________________________________________________________
Amaya and Nyx are best friends… but what happens when the hero's best friend is dumped by her fiance, and is forced to attend the wedding? Naturally Nyx was going to fix things, just sometimes he’s a bit too mouthy…
“What did you do?”
“Surprise! You’re getting married… to me.”
____________________________________________________________________________
Amaya walked down the crowded streets of Insomnia, her eyes looking through the windows of the ever busy city.  She was on the hunt, a hunt for a dress.  She slowed her pace down as she approached the heavier shopping district as she stopped in front of a window as before her was a beautiful white gown.  The gown was spectacular, the A-line ball gown with a beautiful sweetheart top, the sleeve all lace as the bodice was glittered in beads and crystals.  It was perfect.
She walked into the boutique as she circled the dress in the window admiring it as one of the sales consultants came up behind her.  “It’s a lovely dress, would you like to try it on?” Amaya looked back as smiled sweetly, a combination of sorrow and hurt behind that fake smile.  “It’s only a dream, I’m here for another reason.”
That was true, it should have been different.  She should have been wedding dress shopping, but she wasn’t… and it was all started the day her Fiance met her cousin.
__________
Amaya was with her Fiance Blake Rivers, at a celebration event for the opening of her family's new business line. The Lunar Luxury and Hotel line, they ran beautiful hotels across the plain, and each was different and had its own personality. Usually in the larger cities there are at least 3 to 5 Lunar Hotels, all of which are beautiful and different.  Her father runs the books with her brother, while Amaya is the designer.  Her elder brother ran the branch here in Insomnia, while her father stayed back home in Altissia.
Amaya and Blake were conversing with those around them and more.  The two had been together for 2 years, and he was good to her.  Blake Rivers was a demon hunter turned Crowns Guard.  He had shoulder length blonde hair, and crystal clear blue eyes.  He was slightly tanned, well built and stood about 6’2, towering over Amaya’s small 5’4 frame.  Amaya contrasted her fiance.  She had hip length raven hair, pale yet fair skin that emphasizes she mythical emerald eyes. She was gifted with large breasts and thick thighs with a little cushion in the middle.  She was a beautiful woman.
Nearby Amaya’s Aunt stood laughing with another man, Amaya’s best friend, Nyx Ulric of the Kingsglaive.  Amaya and Nyx met years ago, he had saved her from being mugged while she wandered the vast city.  Nyx and Amaya had a special bond, even front the time they first met, he was protective over her and flirty... and was a pain in her ass, but she still loved him… like a brother.
Nyx didn’t take it well when another man, especially a Crowns Guard, took his spot as Amaya’s go to.  Blake and Nyx never got along, it was always one extra comment from the other and it was game on.  Nyx was always the one to be protective over Amaya, ever since they met those years ago, back when he was still new to the Glaive, and that hero title got him into everything a bit too deep, as did his mouth.
Blake had excused himself from Amaya for a moment while he went to grab some beverages.  Nyx popped over as he smiled at her, “enjoying yourself?” “You know it, you know how much I love these oh so quiet parties.” she laughed.  Nyx walked her over to a table where they stood together.  “Amaya!  Oh it’s been far too long!” a voice squealed coming into the room, Amaya turned to see her cousin Elise.  The two hugged tightly, Elise was like a sister to Amaya, Amaya being the younger of the two.  Elise was always the kind and beautiful one, she had gorgeous soft brown hair that hung into the middle of her back, though now it's tied up.  She held herself high and she was graceful and kind to everyone. She had soft striking blue eyes sparkled in the light.  She was fair, and beautiful.  Currently she wore a beautiful light pink dress to the event being held.  “Elise, what brings you here from Altissia?” Amaya questioned happy to see her once more.  “Well I finally opened that flower shop I’ve been trying to do, and I finally did it!” “Congratulations!”  “I was excited to know I was able to come and celebrate the opening of the new brach, your father has been working so hard on it, your brother too.” “Yeah I know, but they did it.”  “Oh, I’m so sorry I don’t think we’ve ever met.” Elise said looking to Nyx who was actually sitting there quietly for once, “Nyx Ulric,” he introduced, “Oh is this your Fiance?” Amaya’s brow shot up as she laughed as Nyx rolled his eyes, “Oh Gods no, Nyx is my best friend.  Blake is my Fiance, he should be back-” “Someone say my name?” The familiar blonde said as he purposely pushed past the Glaive as he set the glass down in front of Amaya as he looked up… and time stood still.  “Oh, hello.  I’m Elise, Elise Sterling. I’m Amaya’s cousin.” she introduced as she looked starstruck.  “Blake Rivers, I’m Amaya’s fiance.” Amaya looked between them, “Elise is here because she was celebrating the opening of her new floral shop.”  “Floral shop?” “Yup, specialize in everything from decorative flowers to herbs.  The Lilly are my personal favorites.” “ ?  Me too.” Blake said… Amaya’s blood ran cold, he never spoke of flowers to her before, but then again she could barely keep alive a cactus.  “Tell me more about your shop where is it located?”  Blake had left the table with Elise as Amaya inched closer to Nyx, “What just happened?” “To tell you the truth Princess, I’m not quite sure myself.” Nyx said as they watched the two walked away with bright smiles fully intrigued with whatever conversation they would be having.
That was 6 months ago
________     That was the funny thing about love, it can strike at any given moment.  That was the reason she was shopping, she was on the hunt for a dress for her cousin and Blake's wedding. The two hit it off so easily that day, and not even a week later Amaya was no longer engaged and had moved out… while Elise moved in.
Amaya went to look at some other dresses when she finally found a section of darker colored short dresses.  She sifted through them when her phone went off. Sighing she looked at the screen, but then lightly smiled.  The screen lit up with ‘Your Hero’ in the title as Nyx had also proceeded to make the photo an obnoxious selfie of himself.  “Hello Hero” she said lightly “Hello princess, you up to anything?” “Well welcome home, it’s been a while.  You finally off duty?” Amaya asked as she frowned looking through the dresses.  “Yeah, I’m heading out to meet with Crowe and Lib for some drinks you in?” “Not really.” she sighed.  Amaya’s tone turned to light sadness, Nyx knew that Blake was engaged to Elise now, but he brushed it off, what he didn’t know was the fact Amaya was invited to the wedding and was fully expected to show up.  “What’s wrong?” she was pulled out of her thoughts as his voice was less playful now.  “I’m shopping.” “Nope you’re coming out.” “Why?” “Because, I said so.  Where are you?” “I’m not going to tell you!” she whined over the phone, as he laughed. “You know I am more able to find you.” she sighed knowing he would regardless of anything. “I’ll meet you at my place, I’ll be there in a half house.” he hummed in acceptance over the phone. “Alright, see you there.” with that their conversation ended.
Amaya shifted though a couple more dresses just picking out a couple as she paid and left.  She was true to her word as it did take about a half hour to get to her beautiful apartment.  It was a high floor luxury piece, that many swooned over.  She was spoiled, Nyx always made sure to remind her of that as well.  Amaya dropped the dress bags over her sofa as she made her way over to her dining room table, there it sat, the invite.  She looked at it as her eyes lingered over the ‘regretfully no’ or ‘yes’ check boxes, the wedding was 2 weeks away and she still hadn’t sent it in.  She got the invite over a week ago.  This whole wedding seemed overly rushed, but that’s how Blake and Elise were, it’s get it done now or never.
Amaya heard a knock and then the door opened as Amaya turned around quickly as she put the invite behind her back as she smiled as Nyx had come inside, like usual.  He looked at her as she smiled lightly at him, her hands behind her back as she was trying to make it seem like she wasn’t hiding something.  “What, got a present for me?” he asked with a mischievous smirk on his face as he walked over to her as she shook her head.  “No, just something you don’t have to see.” “Oh ?  And what could this something be that you don’t want me to see huh?” he asked as he got closer than he quickly tried to reach around her as she laughed as she struggled to keep it away from him, until his fingers went to her waist as he started tickling her, which he knew was her weakness.  Her laugh echoes over the room until it stopped when he got his hands on the envelope as he turned around.  All he had to do was hold it up and she had no chance. “I win.” he stated as she sighed, giving up she sat in one of the dining tables as he looked at it.  Nyx looked at the invite, each word he read his eyes narrowed a bit more.  “You’re fucking kidding me right?” he asked as she had marked  ‘yes’ in the box.  “She’s family, all we have is family, I can’t let this get in the way of that Nyx.” He grunted as he set it back down on the table taking a chain and straddling it so he could look at her.  “Why didn’t you any anything?” he questioned as she turned away.  “I didn’t want the sympathy that comes with it.”
Nyx let out a sigh, he knew what she meant.  “If you’re going, who are you going with?” he asked her, she lightly peeked up at him as his brow raised.  “Oh, so you wanted to keep it a secret and drag me along anyways?” “It’s better than going with my brother.” he laughed, “if you come out tonight I will go with you to the wedding.” :Fine.” “Good, now let’s go!” He pulled her out the door, as she was already ready.
Nyx had brought her to the normal spot, Libertus and Crowe were at it again.  Pelna was trying to be a medium until he let out a relieved sigh seeing Nyx and Amaya come through.  Crowe instantly stopped whatever it was she was doing as she grabbed ahold of Amaya. “I wasn’t expecting you to come out, how did he bribe you out this time?” Amaya looked at her sheepishly, “he’s coming with me to my ex-fiance and cousins wedding.” “Wait what?” Libertus asked, Crowe silenced him with a look. “It’s alright, I okay now.  I can actually look at them again so I don’t think I’ll be crying or anything.” she said as Pelna got her a drink. “Thank you.” she whispered.  Nyx looked at her as he sat across the table from her.  This hurt, she never deserved that.  She never deserved to be hurt so badly by two of the most important people in her life.
Nyx had walked Amaya home as he leaned on the frame with a smirk. “So I’ll see you Saturday?” he asked as she nodded, it was too sad.  Today was Friday night, and it was and she actually wouldn’t see him until the following Saturday just from work.  She placed a kiss on his cheek.  “Thank you Nyx, you’ve always been my best friend.” she smiled, as he did too.  “Goodnight.”
Nyx sighed as he walked out, ‘best friend’ yeah he hated those words, but it was his own damn fault.
____________
The day before the wedding Amaya was with her brother in his office as she was sifting through some samples as she hummed lightly. Alexander Lunar, also known as Xander, he had pitch black short hair with stunning brown eyes.  He was tanned unlike his sister.  He usually wore a suit, clean cut, and no facial hair. He stood at about 6’1, so Amaya was the runt of the family.
“So, you sure you don’t want to go with this guy?” he asked motioning to himself as she laughed.  “Xander I’m fine, and I have a date.  Plus even if I did it would look bad if I attend my ex-fiance’s wedding with my brother.” Xander returned the laugh, “Really? Who is it?” he asked as he got up placing some paperwork in the bin where his secretary would send them off.  “Nyx said he’d go with me.” “Ah, good ol’ Nyx. Don’t know how you can get him to do everything if you need it.”  “He’s my best friend Xander, he’d help me out in any way he can and I would do the same.” she said as she marked a sample she thought would work well in the new remodel of one of their rooms.    “I know, but I gotta go and take those measurements.” she said as she waved.
Nyx finished shift, for once the captain was kind enough to actually let him leave early,  There was always hidden motive though somewhere behind the nice jester.  At home he cleaned up, redid his braids and put on the nicest piece of clothing he had, many actually didn’t know he had a suit but he did but he only wore it to events like this or places he with Amaya.  The suit was actually a gift from her father for a birthday he thinks.  However, after he was done grooming himself he heads to pick up his date.
Amaya had finished her hair and makeup, she was in her robe as Xander was there.  “What one doesn’t scream ‘poor unfortunate Amaya’?” she asked holding up two dresses, a short black one with long sleeved lace accents or a dark red one with black sleeves and a peekaboo.  Xander pointed to the black one, “That one screams what was Blake thinking?” “Perfect!” she laughed putting the red one down. “When’s the big Hero coming?” “He should be here any minute.” Amaya answered and as on cue there was a knock.  Xander went to answer as Amaya went to put on the dress.
When Amaya was done she walked out to Nyx and Xander laughing about something as she hoped her name was not in their conversation. Nyx looked up as his light slightly widened, his lips were slightly parted.  Xander smirked at the reaction as Amaya smiled.  “Well guess it’s time to go.” she said as both guys let her out first.
Amaya and Nyx walked into the church and sat beside her father and brother.  Mr. Maximum Lunar, head of the Lunar family and Lunar Luxury Hotels.  He was tall like her brother, however he had brown slick back hair, tanned skin, and brown eyes.  He work a normal tailored suit as he normally would.  Amaay reached over hugging her father as it has been a while since she had seen him.  He took Nyx’s hand, the Lunar boys always got along with Nyx.
The ceremony commenced Amaya watched with tension.  However, tried not to show it, she bit her bottom lip while Elise and Blake recited their vows.  “If anyone can show a just cause why these two should not be joined, speak now or forever hold your peace.” Amaya lightly looked around as a few peering eyes were glanced her way.  The unbearable moment was finally over.  “I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride.” When the two kissed Amaya had to bite her bottom lip to make her mind not think about it, she tightened her hand a bit as she felt a warm one on hers as she glanced up looking at Nyx with a light smile.
As the guests started to head to the reception Amaya and Nyx walked by as they stopped, “it was a lovely ceremony.” Amaay said to them as they thanked her, “thank you, wait are you two together?” Nyx looked to Amaya as she looked to him, “Yeah,” he said as he slid his arm around her waist.  “Wow, about time.” Blake said as Nyx shot him a partial glare.
The reception was cute and small.  The bride and groom had their first dance together, they were a match made by the Astrals themselves, they had great chemistry and showed deep love for one another.  “You okay?” Xander asked as she leaned over, “I will be if you stop asking me that.” he stuck his tongue out.  Aunt Lilliana came up hugging Amaya.  “I’m so proud of you, and I’m so happy you came.” she said as Amaya smiled then looked at Nyx, “You two on a date?” “Uh yeah,” AMaya said she leaned in, “well done.” Amaya laughed along with Nyx this time.
Dinner was served after as Amaya sat with Nyx on her right, her dad on her left, Xander next to him and her Aunt on the other side of Nyx.  Amaya lightly picked at her food.  “What not eating strawberries?” Xander asked as he came in from behind picking the fruit of her plate.  “I’m not that hunger.” she said as she pulled her napkin up, “I think I need some air.” she said getting up as Max did too, “come on, dance with your dad.” he said as he took her hand bringing her to the floor.  Amaya placed her hand on his shoulder as she looked around and tried her best to hold in the tears. “ I really do need some air.” “OK Honey.” he said back as she walked away.
Outside she stood a little bit as another joined her.  She looked over at Nyx who she laid her head on.  “You got this.” he said as he rubbed her back.  “I know, but it still hurts.  I still think and ask myself what I’ve done wrong or what’s wrong with me?” he said heard her sniff.  “Nothing, you did nothing and there is nothing wrong with you.” he said as she looked up at him, “come on let's go back inside. You owe me a dance.” she laughed as she agreed.
Inside Max and Xander watched as Nyx dragged Amaya out to the floor, both watched on intrigued by the two. Nyx pulled her in as her face slightly dropped seeing Blake and Elise.  Nex leaned down, “hey, don’t let it get to you.  Pretend I said something really dumb or funny.” he whispered as she rolled her eyes and let out a laugh.  Blake slightly turned to look at them as Nyx spun her pulling her back to him as she laughed a bit more.  “COuld it be, are you actually having fun?” he jested as she smiled, “perhaps.” She stated.  Liliana came up, “oh I could watch you two dance all night!” “It’s all about finding the right partner.” Max said back, “My thoughts exactly.” Nyx said as Max nodded at him. Amaya pulled away from him as she excused herself once more.  He put his hand sup in surrender as he took a random piece of candy off of the dessert table.
“You two really are a couple.” Blake said coming up behind Nyx, much to Nyx’s disliking.  “Yeah, couldn’t be happier.” Nyx said back as Max and Xander started peeping in, and then in came Liliana and Elise. “Just a bit surprised, I didn’t even know you two were dating.” Blake said, “well I don’t really talk to you.  We didn’t feel the need to tell anyone it was just spur of the moment.” Nyx lied as he tried to keep up the charade without her there.  “Well it looks pretty serious.” Elise stated, “Oh it’s as serious as it gets. We are engaged.” Well those words just came out as he realized what he said when everyone looked at him in the strangest way.  Liliana gasped with Elise, as Xander looked at each other confused, and Blake looked him wide eyed.  “Oh this is wonderful news why didn’t you say anything before?” Max asked coming it, “We didn’t want to steal the thunder is all.” The DJ announced the cake cutting as the bride and groom left, “excuse me a second.” Nyx said as he made his way through to where Amaya went.  He caught her in the hallway as he pulled her aside.
Amaya looked at him with confusion.  “Nyx what’s wrong?” she asked as he looked around, “So… I kind of fucked up.” she gave him a look, “what did you do?” she asked as she heard her name over the speaker as she proceeded out of the hall. “No wait!” he tried to pull her back but missed as she walked away as Nyx hurried next to her.  “We just wanted a shout out to my beloved cousin on her engagement!” Amaya looked at Nyx who looked like he was holding his breath, “surprise, you’re getting married.” “To whom?” “To me.” She tried not to give a what the hell were you thinking look as she smiled at everyone, who was applauding,  putting her hand around him as he did the same.

King’s Burden.
A/N: I know I haven’t posted anything in a long while. Hope I can do better. Sorry. Life sucks ass right now.
Warnings: None | Words: 503 | Characters: Regis Lucis Caelum, Nyx Ulric, Six Ulric.
“It sure is a handful having kids, isn’t it?” King Regis laughed after Six let out a sigh.
“Are you talking about Nyx, or the one your Queen is expecting Reggie?” the immortal glaive asked, never taking her eyes away from the young boy she’d save in Galahd some weeks back.
Nyx was trying to get himself together; learn how to use the powers the King had entrusted upon him. He was determent to become a Kingsglaive and repay both the King and his soon to be mother for saving him; trusting in him.
“How did-?” the King was taken aback by Six’s question. It seemed more like a statement to his ears.
“I know.” The Glaive laughed, finally turning her attention to her friend “I’ve seen the way she’s always protecting her belly and I’ve noticed the changes in her diet and routine. I had for some time.”
King Regis didn’t say a word. He knew what was coming.
“And the whole trip to Accordo?”
“Six…”
“You could’ve told me.” She once again set her eyes on the young Glaive to be, “It’s not like I was gonna try and stop you.”
“I…”
“But then again,” she smiled; gaze following Nyx’s every move “maybe if you had, I would’ve preferred to stay here and protect her and the future King of Light. I would’ve never found him.”
Regis eyes followed her silver stare.
The boy from Galahd.
The one she’d come to love in so little time because he reminded her of who she used to be, before her fate was forced upon her.
Young, full of life; full of determination to fight for what he believed.
A hero in the making.
“The young coeurl is lucky to have you, Six. He will become one of the greatest Kingsglaives Lucis can ever ask for.”
“You’re damn well right he will.” She laughed at his choice of words, raising her hand to point the spot where Nyx was training just a few seconds ago.
The King followed her finger, eyes widening as he realized the boy was gone. Vanished right under their noses.
“Where in the name of…”
“Right here, majesty.” Nyx’s laughing voice cut the King’s curse in half before disappearing again in an instant “Or rather, right here.” And again “Or here.”
“Fear not King Regis,” Nyx stood proudly in between the adults of the party; fist to his heart and head held high “no harm will come to you as long as I am here.” The boy lowered his voice, slowly pivoting his body toward the King “Don’t let her know but, I’m the hero around here.”
King Regis let out a heartfelt laugh as he let his hand mess the boy’s hair “Show off.”
“Stand tall, my boy. There is still time before Lucis is in need of your power and protection.” He whispered under his breath, turning his back to his glaives and walking away with sadness and regret shadowing his eyes.
The time was soon to come.
I honestly don’t know who is still here, so if you wanna be tagged, please let me know!

weight of water | mer!Nyx
Tumblr media
PROMPT: Day 2 - Crystal Clear RATING: SFW - T for mentioned nudity(?); future NSFW? WORDS: 1,167 NOTES: Mer!Nyx because we need it. My hand might have slipped, and this ended up with more plot than I intended. Oops. Chapter 2? Maybe, maybe not. Also yes, I know it’s technically the 4th day but I’m just posting day 2. Who’s not surprised this happened? ALSO, may be completely revamped before I post on AO3. TAGGING some enablers: @glaive-eve @lucianhuntress @singlebecauseofthechocobros @owldearest @promptoastandbutter @tamanamohain @notsoartistic @mildsoap-writes @unprofessional-writer @notellen @mourningprinces
The scorching summer sun beat down upon her neck. Despite her summer dress, sheer enough to be nothing at all really, beads of perspiration dewed upon her skin faster than she could wipe them. Gods, she forgot how suffocating the summers in Galahd were — all thunderstorms and rain, as if to celebrate Ramuh in all his torrential glory, until all that remained was the blistering heat of a sun that she swore shone hotter than Ifrit himself. As much as she had missed her homeland, a diplomatic sojourn in the middle of its hottest month was not her idea of fun.
She heard it before she saw it, the deep crash of the ocean, wild and erratic as it beat against the shore like a drum. Shielding her eyes, she pushed the verdant vines away and sighed in relief. There it was, the lagoon that she used to steal off to many years ago as a child. It was as uninhabited and secluded as she remembered. Its water the brightest turquoise green, so crystalline in its brilliance she could see the coral reefs and the schools of fishes that flickered with the sunlight.
Assured that she was alone, she began to peel off her sweat sodden clothing. Once down to her undergarments, she hesitated and looked around again, just to be sure.
Empty.
Hiking back in damp underwear wasn’t ideal…besides, there was no one around for miles, she was certain of it. Without further hesitation she unhooked her bra and slid down her panties, taking care to place them with her clothes on the rocks nearby to dry. Suddenly self-conscious of her nakedness, she jumped in.
As she pierced the surface of the water, she shivered from the sudden chill, nipples pebbling and goosebumps rising. But all thoughts of the cold left as she took in the view of the flourishing corals, gently swaying kelp, and the swimming sea turtle, ignorant of her presence nearby.
As she resurfaced she gasped and laughed with joy. The cool saltwater was a balm for her sore and heated flesh. She looked up into the cloudless sky as she treaded water, leaning back until she was floating. Relaxed, she closed her eyes enjoying the weightlessness of her body and the faint cries of the gulls, until something soft hit her head.
She jerked up and looked around, narrowing her eyes at the shoreline only to find it as empty had been minutes before, but looking down, she found a lone flower floating in the water. It looked like a hibiscus, except its crimson petals were translucent and swayed with the ocean like the sea life beneath her. She wondered where the sea flower had come from when she yelped at the unexpected feeling of fingers brushing along her waist.
She wasn’t alone anymore, that much she knew, but she wondered who had followed her into the lagoon. How long had they been spying on her? How much did they see?
Seconds dragged into minutes as she waited for the perpetrator to surface for air. Had it been a figment of her imagination? Perhaps the wind had carried the strange flower to her. Except, the day was stifling as it was still, and she could not feel even the faintest of breezes.
Then, through the corner of her eye, she saw the flash of a caudal fin, aquamarine and gentian in its splendor, break surface and…splash her! She was about to laugh at her luck of encountering such a playful sea animal when, in place of the majestic fin, was a man with long umber hair, adorned with braids and twinkling shells, smiling at her with a predatory glint in his sharp canines.
“You!” she nearly screamed. If it were not for the necessity of staying afloat, she would’ve covered her nakedness, but as it were, modesty was secondary to survival. “You pervert! How dare you follow me here to spy—”
The strange man raised an eyebrow in amusement. “Follow? You’re the one who decided to intrude on me.”
“I was here first.”
He snorted, storm grey eyes twinkling. “Doubtful, as I live here and you’re trespassing in my home.”
“What? You can’t live here,” she said in indignation.
“Oh, can’t I?” he teased, the corner of his mouth curled in an roguishly handsome smirk.
In a blink of an eye, he closed the fifty feet of distance between them.
“Let’s start over. I’m Nyx and this is my home.”
“What?” she said again, softly this time, as she took in his form. In the distance, she had thought her eyes were playing tricks on her, but up close she could see that he was the owner of the beautiful pair of fins.
“My home. This is it,” Nyx repeated as if she was daft.
“No, I got that, but you’re— you’re not human,” she said with a blush as her eyes trailed down his chiseled abdomen, past his belly button and Adonis belt, to find a tail where his, well, she thought, as her blush deepened, where his bits would be if he was as naked as her.
“Yes, and the ocean is blue,” he replied drolly. “For an offering, you seem surprised.”
“Offering?”
“Yes, I’ve been waiting for so long,” Nyx supplied as he proceeded to invade her space, crowding her until she felt the sharp dig of the reef against her back. But instead of protesting, she let him, mesmerized.
Up close she could see that while he was of flesh, his skin had a sheen that glistened under the sun with the pearlescence of scales, and upon his neck, on both sides, were three long gashes that looked suspiciously like gills. Whatever Nyx was, he was enchanting and his presence made her forget herself — her worries, her modesty, her obligations.
“You’re so beautiful now,” he whispered as he brushed his knuckles across her cheek, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Fragile, but beautiful. That’ll change soon, though”
She let out a breath she wasn’t aware she had been holding as he pressed his body against hers. His bare chest, inhumanly warm and slick against hers sent a frightfully thrilling shock of arousal through her.
He was now close enough that she could feel the feather-light touch of his nose against her neck as he said his next words. “There’s no turning back.” It was a statement more than a warning.
“No turning back?” she repeated, breath hitched and not quite understanding the words.
“No. Once you’re mine, it is forever.”
“You’d leave your world for mine? Leave your friends and family for me?”
“Yes. I don’t want you to be alone anymore. I’ll be with you forever.”
“You promise?”
“I promise! I’ll be back soon, Nyx.”
She pushed him off and raced to shore, moving through water faster than she’s ever had before. Picking up her clothing, she didn’t bother to stop or dress until the lagoon was far out of sight.

Sorry in advance for the info-dump! I couldn’t resist 😉
Guard & Glaive is going to be a long multi chapter fic that has 2 main ships in it, Cor/Titus and OC/Nyx, there will probably be other ships added but at the moment it’s just them 2 for definite. Cid and Cor have a sort of father son relationship too
Titus is not Glauca in this universe either, I considered it, but as I developed his story and his connection to Cor and Violet (my OC) I decided that he wasn’t going to be Glauca because I didn’t want to hurt Cor and Violet like that 😆
The story is going to contain the canon events of Kingsglaive and the main game but shifting them slightly, some of the characters who die in the canon story don’t in mine and it’s going to be containing the alternate ending from Episode Ignis
I have also been developing my own cultural head canons for various people which I would really like to share too!
Titus and others from Cavaugh wear leather bracelets that symbolise various life achievements (on the left wrist it is black bands that are for age milestones, and on the right they wear custom made ones for various things… Titus has one in the colour of the Bisexual Flag, a black and silver one to show his first solo hunt, a black one with blue beads to show his bravery in Tenebrae and a yellow one with black and sliver beads to show he is married)
Galahdans in my story have certain traditions that revolve around cooking and food, one of them is when a Galahdan is wanting to ask for permission to marry their love, they invite their partners family to a dinner that they prepare themselves, it’s considered as a way of showing they are able to support and provide for their partner, some Galahdans go more extreme than others in impressing their partner’s family (looking at you Nyx!)

Prompto was just a child when Pakhet Ulric popped up in his life, asking about a photo of a cat he took. He was so used to being ignored by his classmates that he didn’t know what to do... Now, Pakhet is hellbent on being his friend. Prompto treasures her friendship and will do anything to maintain it, even stomping down on his own heart when he began developing feelings for her.
Nyx Ulric didn’t expect to become a father at the age of 16 in Galahd when he found Pakhet, and he sure as hell didn’t expect to adopt another kid when they moved to Insomnia. But here his kid is, dragging around this heavyset freckled blond, and Nyx just can’t help feeling his heart swell with affection for the two cubs. The Hero will do just about anything to make sure these two have a happy future together, even if it means toughening up a certain Chocobo-looking boy so he can look after his precious cub. Astrals know that Pakhet looked after others more so than herself.
It helps that Nyx fully approves of a relationship between his favorite brats that transcends friendship.
A Prompto/Galahdan!OC cause I’m weak for Chocobo looking boys and cocky Heros... Expect a lot of world building about Galahd and its culture.

The Vanguard - Chapter 5
That awkward moment when you’ve written something months ago and realize it was never posted...
Any who, here’s my first upload of today. @sarcastic-heroine
XXX
Despite the evening hour, the streets near the Citadel were quiet as Eirwen leaned back against the lamppost. The cool metal was comforting against her abnormally warm skin. The workout with Gladio had been rougher on her muscles than she had anticipated, and her entire body had pushed harder than it had in a while. Her legs had especially been put to the test as she had not allowed herself to use magic, other than warping, and had fought Gladio hand-to-hand. The cool shower had done her body a world of good, but her healing muscles were warmer than she was used to, and she had been forced to don a black tank top and jeans without a jacket or over shirt. As her mind went back over the training session for the millionth time while she tried very hard not to direct her focus to the memory of the shirtless Shield and his rippling muscles, she played with the small flame she managed to create and maintain at the tips of her fingers.
A rumble tore through the night, breaking her concentration and killing the magical flame. The motorcycle turned the corner, racing down the backstreet just behind the Citadel before coming to a sudden stop in front of Eirwen. “You look a little lonely,” the rider chuckled before sliding forward in his seat and pulling an extra helmet from the rack on the back. Holding out the helmet, the hulking rider pressed the button to raise the darkened screen. “It’s dangerous for a girl out her alone,” Gladio smiled.
“Dangerous for them, maybe,” Eirwen smirked and accepted the helmet before sliding it into place and fixing the chin strap. “When I said you could give me a ride, I wasn’t expecting this.”
Gladio barked out a laugh before helping her to slide onto the seat behind him, her arms instantly wrapping around his middle. “I don’t get to ride her much, considering I’m usually with Noctis or Ignis when I’m traveling around the city. Thought you could handle something a little more wild than the Regalia.”
Eirwen snorted before Gladio turned the bike on, the engine roaring to life as they sped down the street. For all his talk, he was a careful driver other than his speed and the two had arrived at the usual dive bar in no time at all. Gladio got off first before offering his hand to Eirwen and taking her helmet. He carried them both in one arm while his other slipped around her waist to guide her inside. She raised an eyebrow at him, but his only response was a wink before he opened the door and ushered her inside.
The scent of cigars, spilled beers, and the sweetness of the fruit behind the bar mingled with old leather as the two took their seats in the booth towards the back where Pelna was already seated, pouring over his tablet with a half empty beer in his hand. He didn’t seem to notice their arrival.
“Pelna?” Eirwen leaned forward and waved a hand in front of his face. “Don’t tell me you’re working right now,” she sighed and tapped the screen once for emphasis. This seemed to be enough to get his attention as his head snapped up and he pulled his tablet towards himself.
His brown eyes were wide for a moment as he looked from her to Gladio before realization dawned on him and he relaxed. “Don’t do that. And yes, I’m going back through the data I managed to get from the mainframe on the dropship before Amira was attacked. Oddly enough, there was some coding that wasn’t encoded at all. But after some digging through what I would call decoy information, I’ve found a hidden firewall of sorts. Something I don’t think is supposed to be on here.”
“So they did want us to find the information, then,” Nyx nodded as he slid in beside Pelna and taking a swig of his beer. “Have you reported this yet?”
Sighing, Pelna tucked the tablet away into his jacket and shook his head. “Nothing other than my preliminary report to Drautos. I want to be the first one on the other side of the firewall. Something important is in there. I know it.”
The squeak of leather on leather stopped Pelna from continuing as Crowe claimed her spot beside Nyx and Libertus pulled up a couple of chairs for himself and Amira. “We are not discussing work right now. We are getting drunk,” Crowe insisted and passed around the fresh round of beers she must have picked up on her way in.
“I know I need a drink,” Amira sighed as she took a long swig from her bottle. “It’s been a long few days with braids for brains over here. Who knew such a skilled warrior would have a penchant for sci-fi movies.
.” Eirwen visibly cringed as Nyx pouted and crossed his arms. The entire group burst into laughter at their “leader’s” expense.
Anytime the Vanguard gathered together for drinks and preferably cheap beer, laughter and good-natured jests were the usual. Amira seemed to be in good spirits despite having to have assistance walking and being unable to carry practically anything. The fresh air and company of her friends seemed to be doing her a world of good. Gladio seemed to easily fit into the group, making more than one joke at Eirwen’s expense during the night, always softening it with a wink or a smile.
“Guessing you’re going to be with us for now,” Libertus pointed in Gladio’s direction with his amber bottle, careful not to spill its contents on the weathered table. Though it wasn’t a question, he waited for Gladio’s responding nod before continuing. “Guess Sparky and Frostbite have been re-assigned for the time being,” he laughed to himself.
Both Amira and Eirwen cocked an eyebrow and crossed their arms over their chests. It was one of those times were if they had actually looked similar, it would’ve been impossible to tell them apart. An easy moment to understand why they were The Twins. “Last time I looked at my personnel file, Lib, you weren’t listed as Captain Obvious,” Amira fixed him with a look,  “and we all heard the orders go over the comm. Shield’s with us until we figure out this new issue with the Nifs.”
“Safety of the Crown and all,” Gladio nodded. “Speaking of, I have a few questions about dynamics and past battle strategies used by the Vanguard and the Kingsglaive.” He leaned forward in his seat, his eyes sparkling despite the alcohol in his veins.
Using that as her queue, Eirwen slipped over the back of the cracked booth and pulled a chair up beside Amira so the two could have their own conversation. Amira looked like she always did dressed in all dark colors with her dark hair braided out of her face. To know anything was wrong, a person would have to know what to look for in her eyes. A sort of fire seemed to be almost snuffed out.
Eirwen opened her mouth but was cut off when Amira gave her an odd look, sliding forward in her chair before she placed a hand to the blonde’s forehead. “You feeling okay? You’re actually a little warm, snowflake.”
Hiding her smile, Eirwen batted her hand away carefully so as not to jostle her too much. “I’m fine. I guess I am warm, but I blame that on Mister Greatsword over there. He wanted to go a couple rounds today.” Amira raised both her eyebrows in a teasing manner, a smirk pulling at her dark colored lips. “He’s faster than anyone that size should be, okay?” Shaking her head and willing the blood away from her cheeks, she pointed at her Twin. “What about you? You’ve been holed up with the damn Hero of Lucis for
. I want details.”
A heavy sigh left Amira before she could even pretend to stop it. The sound was something of disappointment and resignation. “The past day or so he hasn’t said much. Libertus and Crowe have been around some. Whenever anyone not you is around he always...withdraws?” Eirwen nodded as she already knew what Amira meant - which she probably did. “I caught him playing piano the other morning.”
Gasping, Eirwen scooted forward in her seat comically. “Do tell me more. I’ve missed everything.”
The first couple of days had been rough. Amira had been given the maximum amount of healing potions any one person could legally, and maybe not-so-legally, consume at any one time to ensure that she came out of this alive. The injury to her abdomen had been deep enough that the bloodloss alone was a major concern for the field medics the moment they had gotten to her. Consuming so much magical medicine was hard on a healthy body. Do the same to anyone with an injury and there was a price to be paid.
Though her body worked in overdrive to create new cells and knit the gash back together, pain seemed to fill her veins at first and she only seemed to notice it at night when the pain was all there was. With Eirwen on double shifts between regular training and learning new weapons, Nyx had been given a special leave to attend to Ramuh’s daughter so that no non-magic wielding nurse would be exposed to her in the event she lost control again.
After she had been allowed to return home and Nyx had refused to leave, the two had settled into a sort of routine. She had only been out around two days when the two had ordered Altissan take-out from a diner up the street. After they ate, Nyx had helped Amira to sit up, and he picked out a movie he thought she might like: a rom-com centered around a woman who was overworked and quite laughably looking for love at some kind of festival. The two ended up laughing their way through most of it before their dessert had cooled down.
As the credits has rolled, Amira couldn’t help thinking back to the ship. They had followed the plans perfectly. In fact, it was the first mission she could remember where they had actually stuck to the original plan. She should’ve died on that ship and she knew it. Judging by the way Nyx shifted during her silence, he knew it too.
He left soon after that for the couch where he would be sleeping during his stay. Eirwen had made up the guest room for him, but because it was on the other side of the apartment from Amira’s room, he had insisted the couch was better. It was from the couch that he had heard her whimpering in her sleep. When he rushed to her bedroom door he found her carefully curled up with her hands clawing at the sheet from the pain.
Healing magic was dangerous, incredibly so when administered in large amounts. He’d been on the receiving end of less than the amount of magic Amira had been given and he knew the pain he had felt then. Her soft whimpers and groans of pain had nearly shattered his heart. Without thinking, he had silently padded his way over to her bed and slipped beneath the fluffy covers so that he could lightly place his hand over her injury. Heat radiated from his palm as she burrowed into him, seeking out more of his warmth to stave off the pain. Her whimpers stopped and soon she was breathing heavily enough for a deep sleep.
Nyx stayed like that most of the night - his large hand pouring carefully restrained fire magic against her wound while she cuddled against his chest. He’d been too afraid to do anything more than sort of doze off in case he hurt her. Once the sun began to rise, he had carefully untangled himself from her and left her to rest. Although he hadn’t slept much, he felt engized from having her near him and felt more than ready for the day.
He would later blame his worry for the large pot of tea, cinnamon rolls, and large bowl of fruit he made for the two of them for breakfast. While he waited for her to join him, he had taken a seat on the bench of the old piano tucked into the corner of the apartment. He remembered Eirwen mentioning Amira’s love for music but judging by the layer of dust gathering on its surface, it hadn’t been played in some time. A light press of the keys told him that the instrument was still in fine condition and without thought he abandoned his teacup to the floor and lightly slid his fingers over the keys enough to stir up dust.
It had been ages since he’d even seen an actual piano outside of the Citadel’s galas. His mother had owned an ancient thing that she had kept in their sun room. She had liked to play as she looked out over the morning waves glittering in the sunrise. Now, Nyx looked out over the Insomnian skyline. The glass of the skyscrapers glittered like diamonds and he couldn’t help smiling at the irony of it all.
He could almost hear his mother’s playing, see her fingers ghosting over the keys and before long his fingers followed suit. The tune was an old Galahdian ballad of love. A story about a warrior and his sweet lover. It was a heartbreaking story of loss and of love and of commitment and as his fingers played out the notes, he found himself humming the words in the all but forgotten language of his homeland.
“That’s beautiful.”
Nyx jumped at the sound of her voice, his fingers missing a key. “It’s...from my homeland.” He turned to find her leaning against the wall. “You should be in bed. You’re not supposed to do much physical activity.”
“I refuse to get bed sores,” she winced as she shifted her weight. “What’re the lyrics? I heard you humming.”
“Another time,” he promised as he rose from the bench seat. “I made breakfast. Let me help you,” he sighed when she stepped away from the wall holding her side. Shaking her head, Amira opened her mouth to say she could do it when she felt her knees being knocked out from under her and the world tipping. “Don’t try to struggle, you’ll only hurt yourself.”
How exactly Nyx had managed to get her into his arms without hurting her injury she would never understand but Amira knew he told the truth when he warned her not to move. “I dislike you, Islander.”
“Lying isn’t becoming of a lady,” he laughed.

Word count: 3493 Warnings: Explicit, Sexual situations Pairings: Nyx x OC (Eve Leonis) Notes: Okay, this escalated a bit, but it’s not by far the longest chapter in this story. Originally this 57k words long fic was supposed to be just this oneshot smut. This is also the first time for me writing smut in English. So uh yeah. Enjoy. This is a repost thanks to tumblr’s adult content ban. This one contains only pure thoughts and a link to guide you to the sin. Enjoy :3

Eve reviewed herself in the mirror and fidgeted with the bracelet on her left wrist. It was a slender silver chain with a chocobo hanging from it – a gift from her father.
That night was a very special for her. It would be the first time she would be going out with some of the Kingsglaive soldiers. Crowe Altius had invited her out for drinks to meet the team. Apparently they had a usual drinking place in the city and Eve was delighted to finally become a part of the group. She had only recently officially joined the glaives, but she had been training to become one ever since what felt like forever.
