Superficial; a mismatched couple, sunshine and grumpy, "I don't know how Hawke can bear with Fenris' attitude / how Fenris can handle that drunkard with the ego of a god"

On Hawke's side, we have Carver (for once, but he's the one who knows him best); "Brother looks unbothered only for show. He sulks, he thinks asking for help is too out of character, and he somatizes even the smallest things. Whenever Fenris is around, the mask falls and he turns into the patethic human being that he is. Which is good, he needs to be humbled. This relationship is the best thing that could happen to him. Fenris, on the other hand..." sighs "the poor thing."

On Fenris' side we have, surprisingly, Merrill, who's probably their #1 cheerleader; "Oh, Fenris is totally another person when Hawke's around! He laughs more, his sarcasm is less abrasive, and he stops at every dog to pet it. You have to see him, he checks on Hawke constantly. Like a bodyguard, but a bodyguard in love, A LOVEGUARD, and that's super cute! I'm worried for him, tho. Sometimes when they look at each other I can see a shadow of sadness lingering on Fenris' face, as if in front of him there was a gate nobody has the keys of. I think not all the things can be solved with love."

Oh gosh! I'd forgotten about that post, but yay that you found it because I'm always eager to talk about them!! So let's see...

11. Who's clingy?

The answer depends on who you ask. If you ask Crosshair, he'd tell you that Katkris is the clingy one, because once they got into the fuck buddies stage (after the frenemy I like to flirt with phase), sometimes she invited him to stay the night, but he refused all the time. He didn't have time or needed that.

If you ask Katkris, she'd tell you that neither is. It's true that she asked Cross to stay once or twice just to be polite, but his refusals never bothered her. She lives in the present moment and didn't lose sleep over the way Crosshair fled when he felt they were getting too close. She knew where that comes from.

But if you ask me, and you are, I'll tell you that deep down, Crosshair is the one. He fought it until he got his head out of his butt and accepted that he's in love with Katkris, and tries not to show it publicly, but in private he clings to her. Call-him-Velcro kind of clingy 🤣 but he's entitled to be that way, and Katkris doesn't mind.

Katkris loves giving forehead kisses, both traditional and keldabe kisses. And she loves getting hand kisses, especially when Crosshair gives her one, not even knowing he's doing it. She thinks it's a very sweet gesture from a man who swears not to be a romantic. (hint: he's lying)

Crosshair isn't much of a kisser in public, but he'll steal a peck on the lips or on the knuckles to show Katkris affection. And he LOVES getting neck kisses. They're his undoing.

35. How does each significant other view any exes and former relationships?

Katkris doesn't care much. For the longest time, their relationship was very open, neither wanting to commit, so she was aware that Crosshair could hook up with any other being if he wanted to. The same applied to her. But once put their crap together and formalize their relationship, she wasn't worried either. She knows he's loyal to a fault, and he'd never break her trust. The past stays in the past.

Crosshair got bit by the jealousy worm more than once, though, and he doesn't like to think of Kat's exes. He's a bit possessive and the topic is a touchy one for him. He gets grumpier than usual.

Fell back into your teen Divus art (as you do cause I love it so so much) and now I'm wondering...what do you think Trein was like during that era? Like was he exactly the same except without back problems or was he a bit different back in the day?

Trein was as uptight but caring as he is now. Maybe a bit more severe. He sure had less wrinkles.

He was Crewel's homeroom teacher, and he hated it with a passion. Crewel has been a pain in his butt since day 1 and nothing ever worked on this little shit. That plus the other teachers also beefing with Crewel, his hair turned gray very fast.

Not that Crewel was the only problem at the time, but he sure was well on his way to be NRC's worst student ever.

jake is in a weird place mentally where he hasn’t fully accepted this world to be his reality so in his head he’s in an otome game as a background character. he likes bella the way that we like jacob (fictional character) but i don’t think he’s fully come around mentally, which is why he accepted the whole situation so easily

but everyone is real and i think part of jake knows that. he’s just sorta traumatized from dying and transmigrating so he’s in denial (or legit doesn’t give a shit. i’m honestly unsure what jacob’s real personality is)

Ship and OC Relationship Creative Process Ask List.

I am still pondering how best to approach some sort of "ship" for one of my OCs, but it's proving to be quite the challenge to wrap my head around. So what better way to learn more about how other people approach the topics of sex and relationships with their characters than to put together a little Ask List. Not just focussed on ships between OCs and canon characters, but also open to relationships between your OCs - or your OC and someone else's OC (or OCs, as we are all very polyamory inclusive around here).

Did you create your OC with a plan to ship them with a specific character or another OC? Or was their relationship something that evolved all by itself?

How important is your OCs relationship(s) to their story? Would it still make sense without it? Or is their connection to this other character integral to their development?

Were there any barriers to you establishing your OCs relationship? Perhaps social or cultural stigma? Or a concern that "ships" with that character were already overdone? Or simply a fear of being seen as "cringe"? If so then how did you overcome this?

How graphic or explicit are your explorations of sexual interactions involving your OC? Do you happily name body parts and actions? Or do you prefer to leave the mechanical details to the imagination?

If your OC's relationship involves a gender or orientation different to your own then how confident did you feel about exploring or writing this? If your OC and the character(s) with whom they are in a relationship are the same as you in terms of gender/orientation then was this a conscious decision?

So when mayu first saw Jamil overblort what was her reaction????? Was she just thinking that ‘oh my god bros even more majestic’ or ‘my god I’m gonna die by some good looking dude’ which i wouldn’t doubt that mayu thinks he’s good looking either way since she’s the biggest Jamil simp I ever saw

WELL I've briefly mentioned this in an older post, but Mayu and Jamil actually barely interact before the events of Book 4 - all she thought of him before then was "he's pretty but I don't think we'll ever talk," and then the whole winter break thing happens and he certainly... ends up leaving an impression.

While the circumstances surrounding his OB end up making her more intrigued by him and it starts her attempts at getting to know him better, his OB look itself is, well... let's just say there's a running joke between me and my friends that Mayu stocks up on makeup wipes in case he ever OBs again 😭 (I'm sorry that ink/tattoo goatee is just NOT it) HOWEVER I think she also had thoughts of his snake hair looking really cute and wondering what would happen if she tried to feed them. Um, it's complicated

She has a history of hook-ups and before they entered a relationship she wasn't afraid to ask out a person she found attractive. He's a bit intimidated by that at first, and even if she promised she's committed, he still has that lingering insecurity that eventually she could pick a better person, or multiple, to be at her side.

So, when she looks at someone / is looked by someone, or makes appreciations, he just retracts in his shell and acts childish.

She finds that rather offensive, because yeah, she's one that appreciates a good looking person (and sometimes she's um, too vocal about it) but in her eyes Alistair is perfect, and trading what they built together for a flirt would be extremely stupid.

But the moment she reassures him, he thinks about it, calms himself down, and realizes how stupid he was. He would apologize later tho.

Ela is fine with it. At the end, it's just insecurity, and that adds character to a man she appreciates every aspect of.

In truth she's quite amused by the fact he has her exact attitude when a girl passes by / flirts with him :' she tells him how incoherent he is and they laugh it off. Or make arrangements *coughs*

87 - If they ever lost one another in a public place, how do they find the other?

Ela would pick up one of her companions, or a passerby, and just ask if they can find him from above (not Morrigan, Morrigan is unreliable and always points at rats). She's not worried tho, he probably stopped at the stall that sells glittering bottles and shiny statuettes.

Alistair would yell her name until he notices the tallest person who's not a qunari in the crowd. Then he would just follow that general direction calmly, knowing that he won't be left behind.

A better question would be: what is something that they DONT'T argue about constantly, because they bicker about everything, all the time. the pettiest the argument is, the better. You see, arguing is like foreplay for them, so they argue like an old married couple, since the first day they met.

Unsurprisingly, Katkris. Draw that phrase out of Crosshair is almost impossible mission. He eventually will say it, but it takes a long while for it to happen.

Crosshair is the level-headed, 100%. Katkris is too reckless and hot-headed for her own good. Sometimes, Crosshair has to grab her by the scruff and try to stop her when she gets feral. What else did you expect? she's a mandalorian of House Vizsla! 🤣

oh dear! it was the biggest wreck train ever! They were after the same bounty and neither was willing to let it go. Eventually, I'll tell you who won but not now. All i'll say is that the other was not happy. The train wreck kept happening a few times after that, until they were forced to work together. And you can imagine how well that went right?

If you're talking about the Cannibal-chan's group they uhhh... They aren't exactly friends lol. They work and spend time together, but they don't care much about each other.

Out of the whole team, Dominik is the one who cares the least. He’s only there because it’s a job, plain and simple.

Almas is pretty much the same, but he dislikes Dominik because he finds him annoying, and he also dislikes Cannibal-chan because he's jealous of her.

Liam and Cannibal-chan get along… more or less, mostly because of Ophelia. Liam is obsessed with her, and Cannibal-chan finds the whole situation amusing, though she wouldn’t think twice about killing him if he ever hurt Ophelia. Not that he ever would.

Viktor and Cannibal-chan I’d say they have a good relationship. He took care of her when she ran away from her family and even taught her how to cut uh... Meat, if you know what I mean, lol. I think Cannibal-chan's kinda thankful for him, in her own way.

I might change their relationships in the future when I write more stories about them.
