Ezio's reaction to s/o who acts like a surrogate mother to the younger assassins because they can't have kids due to reasons.
Hhhhhmmm… I’m not that much into s/o headcanons but I’ll try my best :)
So I made it vague in terms of the s/o so you guys can choose what the s/o prefers to be called:
It would start small, giving the recruits snacks when they take a break or even just water. No one would think strange of it. Then there would be homemade meals for everyone and they would stay for lunch. Then it would be a reoccurring thing and they start staying for dinner. Those who have the graveyard shifts for their missions would be welcomed with breakfast.
Ezio would notice it by the time lunch became a rowdy affair but he won’t say anything yet. He would simply observe just to be sure.
When it became clear that, yes, this was happening, and things started escalating to telling the other Assassins to wash their hands before eating, to telling them they need more sleep and even patting the heads of the youngest and smallest of them…
Ezio didn’t want it to stop at all.
Because even if they can’t have children of their own, they still managed to carve out a family of their own.
They won’t talk about it or even acknowledge it.
Maybe there will be a joke about them being parents or even a comment about how one of their children are being a bit too smug.
But there won’t be a conversation to talk about it.
Because there was nothing to talk about.
They wanted a family and they finally have one.
That was all that matters.

Way late to the party but oh well.
I made me an Assassin's Creed OC. And here she is: Marisa.
Born as Diana Garza to Teo Garza a Spanish assassin who moved to Italy and Romana Gatti, an Italian Assassin. She is the only child of the pair, and shortly after her birth, Romana died due to complications. Her father doted on her, and while he kept her primarily in the dark of his and her mother's profession, Teo wasted no time in beginning to train their daughter in his family's skills with the whip for a possible future as an assassin. He was estranged from his family due to both his choice of remaining in Italy and who he married (Romana was of 'mixed blood'; her mother being Arabic and her father being a Sicilian nobleman) Teo rarely contacted his family, instead seeing Italy's Assassins as his family. Likewise, his family did not accept her into the family.
As she was born in Firenze, she did know the Auditore's though she was closer to Claudia, and if her family visited the Auditore's she was usually attached to her father's hip unless he prodded her into going with the other children while the adults discussed adult things (aka missions with Giovanni). She had a idyllic life.
Tragically this all came to an end.
One night, her family estate was attacked and her father was murdered, their home burning down to the ground causing many of her father's allies to believe she had been killed as well. In actuality she had been stolen away by a man she would simply know as Nessuno 'Nobody'. Though she managed to escape, she had no where to go as her father's older sister refused to take her and she was scarred both physically and mentally by the entire event, Diana allowed the world to believe she truly died, taking the name Marisa. Only one person would know who she was ; that being La Volpe, who took her in upon realizing who she was. She would make him promise to not breathe a word of her true identity to anyone. It was only later on the remaining Auditore family members would find out who she was. Despite this, she is still insists on being called Marisa as she states Diana Garza died years ago in that fire, she only rose from the ashes.
Now for the explanations for the images:
This is what Marisa looks like. Out of her Assassin gear she wears a dress (though does like to wear pants when she can). Her assassin gear for the longest time covered her face as she was still in hiding from Nessuno. However after his defeat she gets rid of the face covering. By Revelations, she is perfectly comfortable with her face uncovered (other than the standard Assassin hood). Her hair for a long while was cut short and people would mistake her for a boy quite awhile.
Marisa's parents. Romana Garza (neé Gatti) was an Italian Assassin who knew the Auditore brothers. She is of mixed blood, her mother being a Moor and her father being a Sicilian nobleman. She fell in love with Teo when she first met him, finding him gentle and caring. Sadly she would die after giving birth to their only child. Marisa takes after her the most in looks.
Her father was Teo Garza, a Spanish Assassin. He came to Italy on business but found himself falling in love with both the country as well as a particular woman; Romana Gatti. Despite being an assassin from Spain, he found he liked it in Italy and was a well liked merchant and decided to stay there, especially after Romana's death, wanting their only child to grow up with her mother's heritage. He absolutely doted on his only daughter Diana, and would bemoan the idea of her having to get married. Sadly he would never see that day. His teachings however were imprinted in her, mainly in her use of a whip as a weapon.
Marisa's aunt; Calixta Loyola neé Garza. Teo's older sister and a very severe and devout woman. She did not approve of Teo's relationship and marriage to Romana, especially due to Romana's heritage and refused to acknowledge her as kin.
Nessuno: A mysterious man whose face has been hidden by a mask. No one truly knows what he looks like, or who he even is not even Marisa, who has blocked out most of her time spent under his 'care' from her memory. It is believed that at some point he was a doctor, but that is only speculation. It is later discovered that Nessuno, while a Templar, became obsessed with Marisa who had innocently given him a piece of candy on a chance meeting. This would result in him poisoning and murdering Teo to kidnap her, and imprison her in his home, giving her yet another name 'Senza Nome' or 'Nameless'. She discovered the truth about Nessuno and escaped, injuring him, and he swore he would find her again. He is skilled in poisons and drugs and uses them to his advantage. He is later killed by Ezio, ending the danger put on Marisa's life and getting revenge on Teo's death.
One of the few items Marisa has from her family is her father's whip (given to her from La Volpe). She uses it regularly in her missions.
Several things about her and Ezio's relationship. Initially, they did not get along. Even though they were friends while she was Diana, she had to leave any attachments behind after she took on the persona Marisa. So initially her and Ezio would routinely argue, though eventually they become friends, and then more. Another fun fact. Marisa is short in comparison to Ezio, Ezio is 5'9''. and she's around 5'4''. There are many times if she's arguing and won't let it go, he'll just pick her up and bodily carry her away.
As I said before, Ezio and her do eventually get together, though it takes them a little bit to admit it. Ezio because of Cristina, Marisa due to her trauma with Nessuno. Even when both realized they had feelings for one another, but didn't realize that the other felt the same way. It's only when Ezio arrives back from a mission injured and passes out that Marisa panics. When Ezio awakens later to Marisa tending his wounds, she berates him angrily for being so reckless and she wonders why he would do such stupid stunts like that. In an effort to get her to quiet down, he pulls her close, and just kisses her. He moves away, apologizing, but she kisses him back. Thus starts the relationship
Their nicknames for one another. Ezio's nickname for Marisa is 'la mia luna' or 'my moon' and is in reference to her original name. Marisa's nickname is 'la mia aquila idiota' or 'my idiot eagle'
Okay so one thing to keep in mind with Marisa is she is shit with flirting. She's spent majority of her life on the streets, so other than attempts at flirting to elude her rivals/enemies...she's not good at it. So she is thrown off by Ezio and his flirting.
By the time Revelations has happened, she's grown her hair out and is more feminine than how she was in her youth.
Ezio and Marisa would have four children. One boy and three girls. The two oldest are fraternal twins. And while Ezio loves his daughters, and very much so, he is convinced that he wound up with three of them as karma for all the dang flirting he did in his youth. Marisa is sympathetic towards Ezio, but also very much amused. Ezio's oldest is named after Federico while his youngest is named after Petruccio (the feminine version of the name at least). Celeste (at least in this au) would later be Desmond's ancestor.

Who Would (human)Salice's first time be with in the AC universe??
I took in many points. Having only studied the Ezio Trilogy, reading AC3 and 4, and a shit ton of smutty fanfics, here are my points:
Ezio- No, she wouldn't fuck Ezio. She sees him more as a brother, even a father figure (even though they're the same age). She has respect for him. They practically grew up together and trained together. They're true family. She even took his last name.
Connor- The two would get along, they'd be interested in each other, but at this point in time, they are both inexperienced in the bedroom. They'd both be clueless and Achilles would be losing his fucking mind watching them ATTEMPT to flirt with each other. Salice would be slightly better at it due to her connection with courtesans, but... she'd still be confused.
Edward- I feel like, since he's not a real assassin (didn't grow up with the same morals) Salice would find it hard to find a connection, and even trust him enough to bed him. I mean, in the end he does become an Assassin, and maybe THEN she would, but by that time he'd have a wife and child (who becomes a Templar). As much as I think I'd be cool, no... Salice would probably not.
Shay- No... Salice would understand why he left. After all, even she would have doubts about the Brotherhood's morals. She would be confused at what the Brotherhood had become after 1524. She grew up learning that taking innocent lives is a big no-no. And that the safety of the people should always be first. That is not what this Brotherhood was doing. But defecting to the Templars?! No. That also goes against the creed she grew up with.
Jacob- Salice would admire his work. She'd love seeing all he has done and would be excited to see what he will do in the future. However, she'd know of his wife and child and wouldn't step in between that relationship. She'd think he's cute, though!
Arno- She wouldn't trust his connection with the Templars. She'd be wary. She'd understand in the end that that alliance was a good thing and see that not ALL Templars are bad. However, she'd be afraid that she'd be taken advantage of by the Templars and try not to get too close to Arno in case that could happen. She'd trust him, but not enough to love him.
CONCLUSION: Connor would be the best candidate for Salice's first time. They're both unexperienced and Salice will be able to get to know him as he grows into an Assassin. She'd kinda take him under her wing and teach him what she and Ezio learned together. It would be a budding relationship.
NOTE: In real life, if it were me, I'd fuck all of them because I'm a fucking whore when it comes to fictional men... Jear Desus...

Ezio Auditore x OC! Reader
This can also be You, the Reader, but I had this with my OC, Gaia Azzaro in mind. Gaia's words are in Green, and Ezio's are in Orange. (The words in Green come from the song "Say Don't Go" (Taylor's Version) (From the Vault) by Taylor Swift from the re-release of her 1989 album that just came out today.)
Tumblr media
I've known it from the start
We're a shot in the darkest dark
I've seen it in the past
Our lives will never be the same
The waiting is a sadness
Fading into madness
Oh no, oh no, it won't stop
The hurrying is timeless
Climbing to resistless
Oh no, oh no, I want it to stop
Oh no, oh no, it's not fair
'Cause you kiss mе and it stops time
And I'm yours, but you're not mine
Oh no, oh no, you're not there
It was a once-upon-a-time affair
I kissed you, and I knew you
I am what I am named
I flew away, and I never looked back
Say "Don't Go"
I would stay forever if you said "Don't Go"
Said "Buona Fortuna"
I wish I had said, "Please Don't Go"

The final product of that lineart I did! It looks a lot better with color and having been through my scanner/printer. :D
A proud older brother/father figure congratulating his little sister in arms as she’s about to embark on her newest adventure of being a full-blooded Assassin Novice.
And he is going to be with her, every step of the way.

Eden (Chapter 14) - A Assassins Creed Syndicate Story
Jacob Frye x OC
“Eden?” Jacob whispered, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Are you alright?”
“N-No.” I stuttered.
Jacob turned to the recruits. “We will continue this tomorrow, thank you,” he said, and they dispersed. Jacob came over and lowered my arms before pulling me off to the side to sit.
“Eden, what’s wrong.”
I looked away, embarrassed. “I am terrified of heights,” I admitted, my voice barely a whisper.
He laughed, thinking I was joking, and then he saw the serious look on my face. “You aren’t joking.”
“No.”
“How are you afraid of heights? I have seen you jump out of a second-story window and zipline off a train on a boat on the Thames.”
I groaned, face falling into my hands. “Those were all life or death moments; trust me, I thought of how high I was.”
“What about your initiation? One of the things we must do is jump from a high distance.”
I tensed, knowing I had to ruin my father’s reputation. “My father was the one who did my initiation, and we lied; I never jumped.”
I braced myself for Jacob’s outrage. Instead, he laughed.
“So you got your father, the great Ezio Auditore, to lie for you. Well done.” I smacked Jacob for the sarcasm. “I was going to do it later on. We were so desperate for recruits, we figured we would work on it later, but it never happened.”
Jacob pulled me close, his voice filled with determination. He lifted my chin to meet his gaze. “Well, love, I’m going to make you face your fears. There’s no getting around it with me. You want to help me and teach the recruits; you need to do this.” He grabbed my hand, his touch firm yet gentle.
I sighed in defeat. “I figured...”
Jacob stood and held out his hand for me to take. “Baby steps,” he promised. We started small, jumping off one-story buildings, and slowly moved to our final goal: Big Ben.
My heart was pounding as we stood at the base of the tower. “It has to be today,” I asked, looking to the top.
“It has been two weeks, Eden. You have to face your fears. I’ll be right behind you.”
I nodded. “Okay.”
I took a deep breath, my heart racing, and shot the launcher. It hooked to the rail at the top, and I pulled myself up, my muscles straining. I remembered to breathe as I continued my ascent, the wind whipping through my hair. I let out a whistle of appreciation as I reached the top, the view stretching out before me in all its glory.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Jacob asked when he joined me.
“It is.”
“Now comes the harder part,” Jacob said, looking at the ground below. I shouldn’t have done that. I looked down at the hay bail, and everything started to spin. My fear took over, and I lost my grip on the railing, my body beginning to fall.
“EDEN!” Jacob’s cry was the last I heard before everything went dark.
I woke later in bed, with Jacob sitting at my side. When I tried to sit up, pain radiated from my right arm, causing me to scream out in pain.
Jacob jolted away, looking around for the danger till he saw me holding my arm. “Eden love, lay back down, please.” He helped me lie back down before grabbing some water and medicine.
“What happened, Jacob?” I asked as he helped me take my meds.
His face sunk, full of sadness and regret. “You fell from the top of Big Ben.” He explained.

What if the 2 teenage sons wanted to help out Ezio with the political conflict against romanis thinking he can't do it alone even though they're not assassins?
This is a continuation of this ask
Well, their mother would definitely be worried about them since they’re Romanis as well and they’re teenagers who think they can make a difference without truly understanding the dangerous position they placed themselves in.
Ezio would admire their courage but would scold their brashness. It really depends on their personalities on how they would take Ezio’s scolding though.
Although, if they proved their skills and potential, Ezio might just invite them to the Brotherhood. Then again, if he knew how much their mother would be worried about them, he might not do it. (Also, this Ezio is disenchanted by everything at this point and he’s tired. He might also think that making them Assassins would be a curse for them)
Yusuf though… will not have the same reservation.
When their mother learns that they’ve become Assassin recruits, she’d probably assume it was Ezio who recruited them and… well…
That would definitely lead to more complications.

Hi, the OC Creator Bingo sent me (admittedly late but better late than never)!
As a huge fan of fantasy novels, your original story caught my eye.
So, infodump about it! Give me a plot summary, main characters and your favorite thing about it!
-@heresthefanfiction
Tumblr media
Hello. I apologize with how late this is. I've been very busy, lately. Thank you so much for your interest in Cold as Ice. Between the worldbuilding and 6 drafts, I've been working on it since 2009. It's my favorite WIP I ever worked on and really tests my abilities as an author.
Tumblr media
Summary:
“Six nobles. One crown prince. An evil machination they cannot allow to come to pass.” - Cold as Ice
For Vaene Arturis, the Crown Prince of the Olessa Empire, life has been cruel. His son and wife were assassinated by the Wraith, the most proficient shadow-blade in all of the Olessan Empire. He has few people he trusts, and he keeps most people at an emotional distance.
For Cyras Covelli, family is a luxury. Something you never take for granted. As an orphan, she was taken in by the Duke of Avis Niccolo Napoli and thrust into a life at court to further the Duke’s machinations. She learned that most look out for themselves.
After her husband is assassinated by the Wraith and she is appointed Stewardess of the kingdom, Cyras learns that taking risks is paramount to her happiness. Risks like working closely with the Crown Prince and placing the Olessan Empire’s interest above her own.
But to save the empire, Cyras needs to turn her back on Niccolo and go against the dark secret that the Duke of Avis and his supporters are hiding.
Main Characters:
There are at least eight main characters, but I'll focus on Stewardess Cyras Giovanna Teresa Covelli da Lucci. Cyras is the main protagonist in Cold as Ice. She is a widowed noblewoman who originally sought to overthrow the Arturis family when she realized how corrupted Emperor Graeme Sextus Arturis. To that end, she agrees with a plan her foster father has been planning since Graeme has been showing signs of dementia. Her foster father is afraid that Graeme will spill secrets, and so is the The Penumbral Society.
Cyras often describes herself as a self-made woman. Although she was forced to marry the Steward of Olessan Empire when she was young, she refused to let fate or society force her how to act. She educated herself in the ways of the men and created a reputation for herself. Because of this, she has remained at the top of society through manipulation and refuses to let her guard down.
She is not interested in love, and when Cold as Ice starts, she does not believe that love really exists. It is a manufactured idea that men use to ensnare women. That is why her feeling of love and affection for the Crowned Prince takes her completely by surprise.
As a letter writer, Cyras is very shrewd. She developed the ability to lift phrases out of people's letters and use their own words against them. This is shown when she intercepted a letter that Catrina Raspanti wrote to her own brother, a letter that Vaene Arturis -- Catrina's betrothed -- knew nothing about.
Favorite Thing:
I think my favorite thing is how Cold as Ice evolved. A very early draft of it was actual a fan fiction set in the Assassin's Creed universe. It was canon x oc, and she was paired with Ezio Auditore.
Looking back, it hardly resembles the fan fiction while certain elements remain. There is still an assassin organization, but they are not the heroes in this.

A Kiss Away
Just an OC x Canon fic between my character Rosalina and Ezio. Self indulgent -3-
By now Rosalina has become accustomed to Ezio’s charms, including his sly advances and flirting. She tries to play it off and most of the time it works, making the man flustered in return, mostly because he was unsuccessful. However there are moments where he is successful in his attempts, especially as of late.
And this time it’s in the workshop belonging to a close friend of theirs.
Rosalina Aluino (OC) x Ezio Auditore
~~~~~
It was a rather quiet evening in the city, a bit different than the norm. Most of the time the streets were bustling with people going to and fro, on with their lives whether it be a job, running an errand or simply out to enjoy the day; for an assassin and such little crowds to blend into it was hard to keep away from peeping eyes now.
At Leonardo’s workshop however nothing seemed different than it was outside the walls. Leo is rushing back and forth to one spot and to another, seeming to find different things to work on every few minutes.
There is a knock on the door and he freezes his hand from making a stroke of paint at his canvas. He sets the brush aside and wipes his hands on an old cloth that is stained with new and old paint. There are even a few spots on his cheek he seems to miss.
He peeps through the door hole and smiles as he then opens it, arms wide for a hug; Leo’s friend graciously returns one.
“Rosalina!” he chuckles happily, “what brings you here?”
The woman smiles contently and pulls out what appears to be a rolled up piece of paper, detailed with golden and black outlines. Leo’s face lights up at the sight of it and gently takes the Codex page to open it slowly.
“You and Ezio never cease to amaze me,” Leo states with a smile. Rosa follows him to his work desk.
“Is it worthwhile?” The Assassin inquires. “It better be, for what I went through to get it.”  Sewers weren’t her favorite thing to be searching through on a daily basis.
Shrugging his shoulders, he peeks over at her quickly. “I suppose we shall find out,” Leo replies. He sets the paper flat on the wooden tabletop, and it only seemed like seconds and the man has already come up with solutions. It still amazes Rosa at how smart he is; she’s almost jealous.
Leo turns to Rosa with the Codex in hand.
“If you wouldn’t mind,” he begins, “I will decode this for you. It may take some time however. This page is a lot more complex than the others you have given me.”
The woman shrugs her shoulders, gesturing to his work place.
“Be my guest,” Rosa smiles, “I can wait.”
“Perfetto! (Perfect)”
Amber eyes watch Leonardo as he trails off into another room, and not wanting to disturb him Rosalina stays behind. The bookshelves catch her attention nearly instantly after her friend is gone. The shelves were at least either feet high, she deducts, and every slot is filled with a book.
“What sort of reading are you into Leonardo?”, she questions softly to herself. Rosa takes a book and begins reading. Much of it is foreign to her, words in Italian that she has not yet learned. Another book she takes is in Latin; that immediately gets returned.
Thirty minutes into her time at Leo’s workshop have gone by. Rosa eventually settles herself into a chair with a book about the Greek Gods. Mythology wasn’t her strongest suit but she didn’t want to fumble with anymore of Leo’s books, fearing he may of had a system for the way he organized said books.
There’s a knock on the door, and the woman’s attention is shifted immediately. She places the book down and walks to the entrance with a hand on the hilt of her blade.
What’s a cause for such defensiveness? Past encounters on Leonardo’s life, none of them good, resulted in her defensive stance.
She sighs though once she sees who it is when looking through the peep hole, and her hand drops down to her thigh while the other pulls open the door.
“Ezio,” she greets, her bodyweight shifting against the door frame. The taller man chuckles and bows his head to her.
“Princessa, (princess)” he returns. Rosa shakes her head and rolls her eyes, clearing the way for him to enter.
She closes the door behind him.
“You know I hate that name,” she grumbles, following him soon. Her eyes catch his as he turns to look back at her. Ezio is smiling warmly at her, and now she realizes her face feels flushed at the eye contact.
"I have many others,” Ezio chuckles deeply. His head tilts slightly at her. “I will just use those as replacement.”
“Or just my name. That’s sufficient,” she comments, walking past him and turning to lean against the wooden table. Rosa’s eyes glimmer a small amount when she sees the taller man takes a few slow steps towards her. Her arms fold across her chest to appear more broad. He was intimidating, and right now in a good way. “What are you even doing here? I thought you were in Monterrigioni?”
“I have some things here to take care of,” Ezio begins, slowly getting closer. “I’m starting to realize you know where I’m going even before I do.”
His hand reaches for the back of her jawline and slowly traces it to the front with a feather like touch, taking in the fact that he notices she hasn’t retreated away from him. Maybe even shifted her weight just a slight amount to rest into his palm.
A deep chuckles erupts from his chest.
“You are not following me are you?”
Another roll of the woman’s amber eyes and she gently removes his hand away, not flinching when it settles just beside her on the desk.
“Not every woman wants to chase after you Ezio,” she replies, shyly looking up at him. His laugh is intoxicating, practically feeling his chest hum as he reels in closer. Rosa has to look away from him and down to the floor. However he wasn’t having it, wanting her to look at him. It was rare times he was able to get this close to her and not have her back away.
A finger rests on her chin, another under it as he lifts Rosa’s face to look at him. She has no choice but to.
“Only a jealous woman would say such a thing.”
Rosa chuckles sarcastically and rolls her eyes, still held captive by Ezio’s hand under her chin.
“Your charms do not work on me Ezio,” she says, pushing his hand away once again, and like the other it rests on the other side of the table. The man manages to wedge himself between her legs.  He tilts his head again, smiling down at her. The woman can feel his breath on her lips and nose.
“Yet you have not told me to stop,” he whispers, beginning to gently sway with her. “Perhaps they are working more than you think.”
“You have me wedged between a table Ezio,” she replies softly as well. “I cannot really go anywhere.”
Another chuckle from him, and this time it makes Rosa reach for the sides of his belt, grasping at the leather gently to rest her hands.
“That wouldn’t stop a woman like yourself,” he smiles, inching his face closer. Ezio watches her lips slightly part and her eyes drift down to his own. Now his other hand comes to cup the other side of her face and she then fully leans into his touch; it sends shivers down his own spine at how content Rosa looked. “Do you want me to stop?”
Immediately her eyes shoot up at him, dazed and shimmering from the lanterns around them. They almost seemed. . . to plead.
Her mouth opens to speak as Ezio’s gets closer, enough to possibly connect, when the curtains separating this room to the one beyond it part ways and flutter like wings of a bird. Ezio’s hands slide off of her, as well as Rosa’s off Ezio, and the woman looks down at the floor sheepishly while Ezio swallows thickly.
“Oh,” they hear Leo gasp, “I- I did not mean-” He then spins around quickly and fixes his hat. “I shall come back in a few moments!”
Ezio clears his throat and speaks up for Rosa, as she can’t look anywhere else but the floorboards at the moment.
“Va bene (it’s alright), Leonardo,” Ezio sputters. “I just came to check up on you. It seems Rosalina has beaten me to it.”
Leo’s hands fidget with the tail of his belt, turning slowly and awkwardly to look at them. Rosa finally has the courage to peer back at him. She stands now beside Ezio, however with her arms still crossed.
“I was uh, successful in decoding the page you brought me Rosalina,” the artisan speaks. He walks slowly to the desk she was once sitting on and lays the paper flat. He smooths out the page and exhales sharply while the other two peer beside him.
“It is simply an upgrade for your blades,” he says, “it is more lethal in design which provides more speed when using it. It will be so light you might as well be slicing the air open.”
“Funciona para mi (works for me), Leonardo,” Rosa smiles, giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder. He smiles in return. “Anything you design is always worthy.”
With a confident smile and attitude Leo collects both of their silver and takes it to the back of his home again. Within only ten minutes he has returned with both blades and they are looking as sleek as ever. Rosa takes hers in admiration and holds it up to the lantern, watching her reflection on the blade. She then turns back and takes a few steps away to swing her blade effortlessly to test it; Leonardo never ceased to amaze her.
Holstering it where it belonged on her belt, the woman turns to the men with a smile on her face.
“Muchas gracias (thank you so much), Leonardo. You’re doing God’s work with these Codex pages.”
The flattered and flustered man waves her off as he turns to his desk to sit down. He watches Ezio still admiring his blade and then putting it away. He nods to him and smiles.
“She speaks the truth amico, (friend)” Ezio says.
Another chuckle as Leo sits back in the chair, smiling up at them.
“Enough you two,” Leo prattles, “now go on, you have more important things to do.”
Ezio then turns to Rosa and gives her that cheeky smile he had moments ago where they were. . . closer than they are now.
“Indeed we do.”
She catches on immediately, and her face begins to burn once again. Rosa makes haste for the door as she waves goodbye to Leonardo over her shoulder.
“Adiós amigo!” Rosa calls back. However when she calls Ezio’s expression drops and he looks to Leo; he was hoping Rosa would have waited for him. Leo laughs joyfully at the exchange.
“You better catch up to her,” he says, “she was raised by La Volpe, no? She may be long gone by now if you don’t hurry.”
The assassin huffs and hurries for the door, giving his friend a wave goodbye before leaving. He sees her just outside waiting by a merchant stand, leaning against the brick wall dividing the city from the countryside.
“I figured you would have left me,” he comments, huffing as he gets to her.
“Why?” she questions, “after what happened in there?” The woman huffs as she begins walking with him.  Ezio is baffled a moment, unable to speak before he can finally say anything.
“Well. . . si, actually. I did not mean to make you uncomfortable.”
“Who says I was?”
Once again is trying to register what she had said.
It hits him eventually, and he is wearing an even dumber smile that makes Rosa wish she had kept her damn mouth shut, and she begins to walk faster to try and lose him.
Ezio takes her hand and she stops to look down at it, surprised at his actions. This place was not the time nor location to do this. To even have this conversation.
“Is that right?” he chuckles, making her huff and walk off. He grabs her hand again and she snaps it away.
“We shall not speak of this any longer,” she points an angry finger at him, legs forcing her to walk again. Ezio is close behind.
“Did you enjoy it?!”
“Ezio, por favor. . .”
The man laughs. “You did!”
“I am going to hurt you in a second, cállate! (shut up!)”
memoriam mortis
Madelena and Ezio remember his brothers and Father.
It was a hot summer day, Ezio and Madelena had found shade underneath an orange tree, sitting on a stone bench, facing the fountain that was built in the Auditore Men’s memory.
Carved out of marble stood two bucks to represent Giovanni, Ezio’s Father and his brother, Fedrico. Perched on the antlers of the buck meant to be Fedrico was an Eagle, a symbol for Petruccio, who was just a child, Only a few years older than Madelena’s twin children when he passed.
That always hurt Madelena more, for some reason.
Ezio rested his head on Madelena’s shoulder
“This statue is beautiful, my love.”
It had only been erected a few months before, Madelena enlisted the best sculptures in Florence for the job.
“Now they shall be remembered for centuries to come.”
“You think it will still be standing in the centuries to come?”
“It had better, the price I paid for it.”
Ezio chuckles and puts his arms around Madelena’s waist, she puts her arms around him, they sit like that in silence for a while, only the sounds of the water and cooing of pigeons.
“I hate that I couldn’t save them.”
“No..No..” She strokes his hair “Don’t do that, Love.”
“Why did I live?”
“Because your Mother and Claudia needed you..Lord only knows what would have happened if you had not protected them.”
She kisses his head
“You avenged them and showed the injustice they suffered, that is more than enough.”
Ezio moves his head to rest on her breast, she doesn’t mention the damp of his tears on her dress.
“The burden of the alive is that we miss the dead.” She strokes his head “That is the price of being the ones who go on.”
