Hey yall! Posting a single sketch for today!

I'm very proud of it bc I'm experimenting with backgrounds. BUT this drawing is special because it is a crossover I've done with my bestie Jay (they don't have a Tumblr sadly :'0)

So I drew my dudes Blaise and Dash, and I drew Jay's gals Jaylee and Ruby (the octo and inkling with bands on their head) Jaylee is the Inkling and Ruby is the octoling.

I'm so glad we're making this crossover! Stay tuned for more! Byeeee!

Boss, I just thought about a great moment when Jayden's Memory starts coming back and at the worst time. Hope you like it!

[Scarabia - After Jamil was exposed & he took control of Scarabia's Students (Right before he overblotted)]

[Jayden (In his Hyperactive State) takes down the on coming Scarabia Students while the Octo-Trio protects Kalim. Jayden manages to take down another student that opened a path to Jamil and he charged at the Vice Housewarden with anger in his eyes.] Jayden (Raising his fist to punch Jamil in the face): VIPER!!! NGH-

[Jayden suddenly feels a jolt in his head, radiating from his scar and he can see faded images of his time with Jamil as children, but the shock knocks him out of Hyperactive State and he falls to his hands and knees before Jamil's Feet.]

Floyd: Whatcha doing, Little Fish?! Get up and sock him!

Jayden (Panting as his body tremble with his eyes looking at the carpet, sweat collecting on his face): I... I can't... My body... It won't let me hurt him... I can't hurt him...

hi octo!! may i suggest jay ferin for the ask game 🫶🫶 ^-^

ohohoho Jay Ferin

First impression: She kind of fell into the background for me originally because she was a quieter character and Chip and Gillion were so loud /pos. I got really intrigued with her when it was revealed she was in the Navy, but for the good first 25 episodes or so I didn't think about her too often

Impression now: I love her, so much, she has such fascinating character elements with the conflict with her family and with her friends, and I think she's had some of the strongest if not THE strongest moments in the entire show, she's still probably second favorite to Gillion but I love her sooooo much and she's such a cool character

Favorite moment: this is a hard decision, she's got so many good moments, but I might just have to go with the classic ep 53, Not Ferin Well, "I was using you" monologue. It's just so good and there's so much emotion behind it, I love it dearly. Her and Captain Widow's interactions as well as her comforting Chip are close runner-ups, though

Idea for a story: I've worked before on some stuff where her and the other Ferins have wings, I think it could be fun to delve more into that idea of them having wings/being more birdlike, maybe in the ep 114 navy fortress

Unpopular opinion: I don't really like her and Lizzie as a ship, since finding out about Lizzie and Ava something about it rubs me the wrong way--it's not a bad ship tho!! just my personal opinion :)

Favorite relationship: I prefer her to be platonic, but I am a tried and true navyseal enjoyer as well, though I like it to be a qpr rather than something super romantic. That or her and anastasia, because I am a sucker for vampires lmao

Favorite headcanon: the more kooky and inventor-y you make her, the better. The fact that she has levels in artificer makes her super fun to give unique design elements, like goggles or grease on her pants (which I love when her outfit looks like an inventor's). So yea, the more artificer the look, the better!

Day 5- Relationships

I went to go draw something and realized very quickly that i couldn't do what i wanted justice in a doodle, so i opened up word instead and made myself feel things

anyways here's what i've got for day 5, courtesy of splatoon 3, focused on new agent 3 (who is an octoling btw) and her missing her old octo army squad

“Cap says he’s impressed.”

Holly huffed- but took the praise regardless. She shouldn’t have, really. Shouldn’t have even been here to get the praise in the first place. But after finding Octavio, and finding out from him what happened to her squad, she… well. She didn’t really have anywhere to go back to, other than here, other than back to Alterna, to try to blow off some steam. A new kettle had opened up, so she gladly took the challenge.

And Octavio above, it was a challenge.

But after several embarrassing attempts, she’d managed, and apparently it was still good enough to impress the stoic formerly-Agent-3-but-now-Captain. Which she definitely wasn’t reveling in. Not at all. She didn’t even care for his opinion, after all, because she wasn’t even here to help him, or them, and she definitely didn’t care that the other two Agents looked proud, and she really didn’t care that Deep Cut had been wearing that same look after the fight with Mr. Grizz, and-

Pinprick tears made her blink, and then blink again, but she couldn’t stop them from fully forming and escaping down her cheeks anyway. She tried to turn away so they wouldn’t see, but her legs just didn’t work. Her feet were rooted to the spot, not allowing her to hide anything, and it only made things worse.

She hadn’t wanted to get attached again, she hadn’t wanted to save the whole world, she hadn’t wanted to be a big hotshot hero- all she wanted was her squad back, and it was apparently the one thing she couldn’t have. And now, here she was, having found herself making new attachments like the old ones didn’t even matter. Like she was moving on without them. And just like that, all the grief she’d been ignoring forced itself to the surface.

But now the others were in her face, asking if she was ok, if she needed to rest and sit or anything, and she knew it was childish, but she couldn’t stop herself from shoving them away and near yelling, “Stop it!”

They froze immediately, clearly taken aback, but she let herself keep throwing her tantrum.

“Just- just leave me alone, I just- I don’t-” She knew what she needed, and they didn’t have it. “I don’t want-” They didn’t have them. “You can’t-” But they weren’t getting it, blank looks on their faces, and she knew they weren’t getting it, and they wouldn’t get it, because they didn’t… they didn’t know. “I want them back!” she finally choked out. “I want my squad back! I want- I want Lin and- and Em-” All of them. All of them. “And Matt, and Jay and- and Lotus, and-” They were all gone. All of them. “And they’re gone, don’t you see?! I can’t have what I want, I can’t have what I need, because they’re gone!” She gasped out a shuddered breath, and weakly added, “Octavio- Octavio told me. They’re all gone and I can’t… I’m the last one. My old… army squad. That’s the whole reason I even wanted to help, was to find them, and…” She sniffled. “Hah.” With another blink, her eyes cleared for a second, and she saw that they all looked… surprised, like…

“…Did you say Matt and Lotus?”

Holly started, tears pausing. Cap had said something above a mumble. Cap had spoken to her himself, and it was-

It was with familiarity.

She blinked again, rapidly, trying to keep her eyes clear as she sniffed again, leaning forward ever so slightly. “Y-yeah? Wh… Why?”

Cap stood, and she found herself straightening up out of her lean as he slowly, intently walked through the other two and stopped right in front of her. He seemed to study her face for a second, and something warm spread across his face, and with it came a calming grin.

“They’re here.”

Everything stilled.

Everything stopped.

Everything ceased.

Everything except those two words, which echoed over and over in her mind.

“They’re- here??” she repeated, voice barely getting the words out. He nodded. “M-matt with the- the mohawk, and Lotus- with- with the-” Here her words failed, so she put her hand to the back of her head to mime a ponytail.

He nodded again.

“What about- what about the- the others?” she asked, daring to hope. Her face fell when his eyes averted, but they weren’t averted for long.

“Matt is with a friend. Somewhere, here, I think. They’re looking for the others.” His eyes squinted shut, pained expression flitting across his face, but only for a second. His hand raised to hold the side of his head- always his right side- before he continued: “I don’t know if they’ve found anyone yet. She won’t… My friend won’t answer me.” At this, he looked sad- and she thought she might understand it. “I should… tell her.” Then he grimaced, and retreated back to his seat, breathing for a second before pulling out a phone.

Holly just stood there, shaky, breaths unsteady and loud.

Agents 1 and 2 seemed dumbstruck by the whole thing, which, if Holly hadn’t had other things on her mind at the moment, she might’ve been, too.

2 seemed to catch something and leaned towards Cap for a second, before straightening again. “He says he’s let his friend know.” A moment passed, heavy and awkward, before she started to speak again. “So, um, while you wait, do you want to-”

Cap stiffened, immediately catching everyone’s attention. 2’s eyes widened. “He- She responded. Asked where… you can meetup.” Her voice trailed off towards the end. Holly didn’t understand the heaviness in her voice, nor Cap’s hunched shoulders or 1’s uncomfortable expression.

“Splatsville plaza. Outside the train station,” she answered immediately, voice finding its footing again. She blinked and he’d responded to the message, expression bitter, but she didn’t- she did but she didn’t care as much as she cared about the fact that they weren’t all gone. Her breathing quickened as her vision blurred again, and this time, she leapt forward, throwing her arms in a hug around Cap, who startled for a second, and then slowly, hesitantly, returned it.

“Thank you,” she whispered through tears. “Thank you so much.”

She didn’t need 2 to tell her that he said it was no problem, and after a second, she hobbled backwards out of the hug, gave herself a shake, gave the others a wave and another, louder Thank You, and jumped to the surface.

Finally, after so long, it felt like she was going home.

actually more less "agent 3" losing in the firt one but they go missing & theyre like fuck until jay comes along & does what the first one was gonna do...then in octo expansion the original agent 3 would come back & theyd be sanitized 0_o & u would fight them as normal but its already too late & they just run off after beng defeated rather than that usually saving agent 3...

idk. im cooking. damian gets shafted though as does agent 4 in the real game/j
