ACK omg I wish I could be more prepared. I'm actually in the process of revamping my captain but I do have some things I can share

Daryl is my agent 4 aged 17-23 ->(hero mode 2 - Side order) .. he was born with some slightly defective fins leading to the cut short look his "ears" now have, he's actually very self conscious about them, so when his hero suit came with the headphones resembling squid fins he was all for them... He's also a certified idiot and has completely mixed up the identities of Agents 1 and 2, and Callie and Marie

Ashton is my agent 8, aged 18-23 ->(Octo expansion- Side order), prior to the events of the actual story he was an octoling who had actually just managed to stumble his way up and out of the metro. But his luck really wasn't there for him, cause immediately after he was ambushed and fought against the then agent 3. (Aged 17). Prolonged exposure, as well as a second helping of Sanitization has led to a permanent blue in his tentacles. Only the tips are colored differently.

Nelle is my Agent 3 neo! Aged 16-18 ->(ROTM- Grandfest) she's relatively new, but before the Squidbeak Splatoon he really was just off to the streets, she and little buddy both were scraping by, but they enjoyed the simple things well enough. After joining as agent 3 Nelle later went on to work at one of the many shops in Splatsville and later found himself constantly changing his style every other day. Every day, a new fit, he's always been passionate about dressing fresh but only now could she do so on a regular budget.

Might as Well talk about Leo, Aged 14 -21 -> (Splatoon 1 - ROTM) and captain of the new squidbeak Splatoon. As expected he's the most experienced of them all. Leo is calculative and truly the best pick Craig Cuttlefish could've made. He often gets so focused on work though that he forgets to clean up after himself, but luckily agents 1 and 2 keep him in check, just like their old man.

i also have a budding splatband called out of shoal!

the lead is an octoling who came to the surface after hearing calamari inkantation and got paris syndrome so they made a punk rock band about it

there’s also a pencil urchin who is a vocalist and a shellback crab on drums :] might add a jelly as well

my favorites of each row: atsuko kinzoku, koharu nakamoto, miku ueno, emiri abe

atsuko kinzoku (second to last, first row)—quirk melting point! with a touch of her hands she can melt any meltable object and consequently control that molten mess :] more extreme melting points are harder for her to do and cooling herself down can be an ordeal. she went to a dance school and was well versed in ballet before suddenly pivoting to u.a. and hero work. her hero name is tungsten!

koharu nakamoto (middle, second row)—quirk tear jerker! she can force people within a certain radius to experience certain emotions! she can do negative emotions much easier than positive, and these changes often make her feel the same way. she went to the same middle school as toga. she is also very into decora kei :^) did not give her a hero name oops but she is the magical girl hero

miku ueno (last, third row)—quirk sleepy sheep! her hair is actually clouds that when used makes the target extremely drowsy. as a drawback she herself is also rather sleepy most of the time :( her first hero name is bo sleep, with a themed outfit, but after she graduates and the nature of her work changes, she becomes somna

emiri abe (second, last row)—quirk animate! emiri has charcoal like pads on their fingers, which allows her to draw. once a drawing is completed, it can come to life and then be used as a tool. effectiveness is tied to how clear a drawing is. the medium is water resistant but can be washed away. emiri’s hair is naturally blonde but is more ash colored because of how often they put their hands in their hair 💀 in public, emiri wears gloves. hero name ani!

(bonus! hideyoshi maki + kanon katou)

hideyoshi (second, top row)—quirk lucky lottery! he has bands on his arms and marks on his face that appear when good things naturally happen to him. as its stored, he can then expend them to sort of force events to happen as long as there is a chance of it happening. less likely events requires him to spend more luck. it is also automatically used to keep him out of harms way. unrelated to his quirk, he has doll like limbs :^) he’s the lucky hero—chance!

kanon (right of emiri)—quirk stereo! she gains super speed and strength depending on the qualities of the music she listens to! she is also emiri’s gf :] kanon has vitiligo as well, which is being hidden at that point in time. she fails the hero license test going against her older sister kotone and partner chiyo, who go to seiai academy, but eventually gets her shit together and becomes the wabisabi hero—shuffle 👍🏽

dragon ball

i had several saiyan ocs (maiz, kohn, aspara, pumpki, etc) when i was in hs but i havent drawn them since so here are the ones i have!

nati (from naticidae, genus of moon snail) and kitsu (from tsuki, moon) are my namekian ocs! they are bonded in the same was dende and cargo were.

unfortunately they died in the namek saga, and were later revived on earth. during that wait for the namekian dragon balls to be used again, they explored earth and decided to then explore the rest of universe 7 to see what’s out there :D

nati is a dragon clan namekian! they have a shitty keychain esque set of dragon balls that aren’t capable of much besides wishing for the return of a lost sock. they think its cute but don’t use them often because of the hassle of collecting.

kitsu is a warrior clan namekian! he died protecting nati on namek and as a result has become very guard dog-y regarding them. you know how it is. was initially reluctant about not going to namek with his brothers.

i’m still waffling about who but while hopping from planet to planet one of them gets gravely injured to the point where fusion was the only option available to them. as a result this fused namekian has extreme survivors guilt and is reluctant to return to namek. (though they may eventually do to see if porunga can unfuse them)

since we know that zeno erased like 6 universes before the universe survival saga i wanted to make a set of ocs from one of those erased universes (god of destruction, angel, supreme kai). i did not get far in that all tho 💀 only designed the angel and i don’t think they have a name. but i probably wouldve named them kesa (from sake, doubleish meaning with the negative conjugation of kesu, to erase)

How did Singularity start?

You can thank Pip for that! It originally started with them writing their Agent 8's story down in the metro and asking some friends if we'd like to be involved, which quickly evolved into our 8s becoming an inseparable duo (along with a few other people's OCs getting involved of course). It was all uphill from there (collective Autism Blast where we decided to turn it into an rp and not just a story).

What's different about it?

Asides from the most glaring difference being the two 10,008s instead of one, Singularity is meant to focus more on the Depths and what goes on down there, and why it's so closely connected to Kamabo Co. and WHY IN THE WORLD IT CAN WARP SPACETIME ITSELF? I feel like we brushed past that pretty quick. What the fuck. What is happening down there. This is also meant to be a much longer journey, so there's plenty of time to get into the meat of things. (And not everything is prewritten! So go wild with your own headcanons as long as they fit in and don't contradict anything!) But if you REALLY want to know more, we have more info in the server!

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

Oh going for the big guns right away huh? LOL Yeah it's not surprising it's when Jasper died. It's kind of funny in a sad way, that wasn't Octo's first tragedy. He lost Unus beforehand and that hurt a lot but there was something exceptionally painful about losing Jasper. Probably had to do with the fact his soul is right there, within arm's length but with no memories of him. And he's gotta deal with that.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

Ohh good question!! If we're talking about the very original Octo, he was an OC for my story Labbed ironically named Ockttaro who also started as a neopet lol He was an alien and basically he had the same personality that the current Octo has. Current Octo was inspired by my love of mad scientist characters and robots and when I had realized I wanted the Descendants to have elements, electricity and such just fell right into place immediately for Octo's design.

I was super glad that I got to revamp and reuse an OC that meant so much to me ;; <3

💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?

He's a cis guy and he's panromantic asexual! Sexual attraction really isn't a factor in his love for others, he clicks 100% on the other person's personality.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

Uh about that LOL he's on OKish terms with his dad. Doesn't really tell him personal information because he knows he doesn't understand or he'd be apathetic to it, even tho Mortem has told him in the past he means so much to him. And he was the one to give him the inhibitor rings to control his electricity. However, he was a little cold about his love for Jasper, saying he should have seen tragedy coming with loving a mortal. Octo wants to be close to his dad, but it's hard.

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?

Yes he does! He's deathly afraid of needles and snakes lol sharp objects are a no go. Duo has to drag him to Modo's office crying for his flu shots.

Friends Can Be Food Too

“I told myself that I would be better but…don’t make me prove that friends can be food too.”

Due to being a shark mer, Tomi-Grey makes use of her electro reception out of the water. Calming herself to a state of zen, Tomi-Grey’s apex predatory behavior and emotions with bubble up and send her into an electric frenzy. The electric wires within Tomi-Grey’s system will connect to whomever she focuses on, given her the ability to predict any movements that person will make. Depending on the amount of time this was used, A set back of this will be minor loss of all senses, leaving Tomi-Grey in a state of emptiness.

Backstory :

Growing up in the Coral Reef wasn’t easy for Tomi-Grey as a shark mer. Like any place else, Shark mers were highly feared as apex predators so no one took very kindly to them. It wasn’t any different for Tomi.

The second she was placed in school, people avoided her like the plague. Tomi was a gentle soul, playing with fishes and collecting things she found. She held everything as if it was fine china. It seems that people didn’t care whether or not if she was kind, all they noticed was that fin and those teeth of hers.

They swam away, they whispered in front of her, they even threw things to see what she would do. At that point, Tomi knew what they wanted her to do and just decided to not amuse them. She wanted to show them that they was different. Well…almost different.

One day, Tomi noticed a small octo mer being bullied. He was small and round and he cried almost everyday, they should pick on someone their own size! Without thinking, Tomi went up to them and tried to tell them to leave him alone as calmly as she could! But a singular shove to the side was enough to send Tomi into a frenzy.

She scratched and bit and twisted the boys that were picking on the small octo mer, not a single reflection of light in her eyes. The boys didn’t go down without a fight clearly, leaving her face and body all stretched up.

She’ll never forget the day she got home and saw the grotesque scar across her nose.

After defeating the boys, she tried to approach the little octo mer as gently as she could, not wanting to scare him off. But, he just looks at her with…bright teary eyes?

The boy was so very grateful and wanted to stay at her side from that day! He had two other “friends” but they were busy at the time, he eventually introduced Tomi to them. From that day on, Tomi accepted the fact that she was an apex predator and there was nothing she could do to change that.

But she could at least try. And that’s exactly what she was going to do.

Random Trivia!

Tomi-Grey lived by herself since she didn’t have any family and usually received help from neighbors for things like groceries and going to school.

She knows she had a mother, but never knew anything about her. Her mother is a sensitive topic for her.

Tomi got into a lot of fights after defending Azul yet never lost one. That’s why they’ve become so bruised and scarred.

The only people that have seen Tomi-Grey smile with her teeth showing are Azul, Jade, Floyd and Soleil.

Her eyes are a weak spot that people tend to aim for whenever they fight her.

Tomi isn’t one to talk about herself, but she’s really proud of her body! All that fighting made her gain muscle and some people find the scars attractive..to which she doesn’t really get.

Her resting face is really intimidating to others, she doesn’t mean it though!

There are days where Tomi is just…so so tired that she can’t be bothered to clip her hair back. The first time she went to class with her hair down, people thought it was a different person.

She has a habit of twirling her hair!

Don’t let anyone know but…She cries when she thinks about the friends she’s made.

Ofc I’m not the first person to imagine the Subway Bosses as Inklings, but I do have some fun ideas of “What if” they were in the Splatoon world? This would take place after the events of Splatoon 2... so Battle/Turfing DeepSea Subway in Splatoon 3 anyone?

They’d be squids lolol.

They’d come from a rich family... maybe one that deals with trains and railroads and such

Thus, both Inklings have a natural love for trains and the railroad

Eventually though, these brothers come to the DeepSea Metro and perhaps maybe they buy it and revamp it into a Battle Subway? Turfing Subway?

Of course, they make sure it’s safe and a fun place for Squids and Octos alike to have some fun, and really challenge their skills!

Of course since the New Squidbeak Splatoon left it, the sanitized Octolings/Octarians have been wiped out and no longer pose a threat to  the safety of the passengers.

So imagine the levels kind of revamped without the dangerous enemies and sanitation goo (and no more wearing that exploding bomb on your back!)

Some levels are a ranked match thing like Agent 8 did against sanitized Octoling soldiers, except now your dealing with depot agents

There are three boss fights one can face on the Subway, after clearing enough levels or something

The first one being a one on one turf or ranked match with Ingo

The second one a two on two (or you can go it alone if you choose) match against Emmet and a depot agent

The final one being a two on two (or one on two if you’re asking for a very hard fight) versus Ingo and Emmet together (then again, maybe a turf war match here and then maybe a fourth boss fight where it’s you/you and your teammate vs Ingo and Emmet in a ranked battle of sorts?)

Maybe these boss fights would be called “Single”,”Double”,”Multi” and “Super Multi” (like the trains they rode in BW lolol)

It’s not easy to take on Ingo and Emmet in a Turf/Ranked match, as they are highly skilled players! (Especially if you take them on COMBINED)

The Deepsea Metro still serves as transportation for deepsea folk lol

CQ Cumber is definitely still there... he sometimes even chills with Ingo and Emmet

some passengers find the new influx of Inklings and Octolings riding their subway to be very obnoxious lol

Ingo and Emmet were actually oblivious about the daaaaaark past of the DeepSea Metro (that is, until they learned about it from the New Captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon lol)

Speaking of which... I like to think that Emmet gets a crush on my Old Agent 3/New Captain! (sadly for Emmet it is not reciprocated, since my Agent/Captian 3 is Ace/Aro) The two end up being friends lol.

He finds her passion for turfing and fighting very attractive, since he’s a lover of turfing and ranked as well! (plus, she’s quite the challenge to face!)

Sometime during the events of Splatoon 3, my Agent/Captain 3 takes on the DeepSea Battle Subway in her freetime/break from work or something. (of course not as her Captain form, but like a normal civilian lol)

Splatoon... 3!

I can't believe we're at the 3rd one already.

New stages, new weapons, new gear, new idols, new music, a new world, new story, and revamped gameplay. New new new. What's more to say? All of it's good. The gameplay has been refined to a level that i can't see anything past. It feels fantastic. Speaking of new, 2 new classes of weapons have appeared. The Splatana, a straight sword you can bring to a gun fight. And the tri-stringer. the bow you see the main girl use. They're interesting weapons, but they're not easy to use in a pvp setting. I feel once these weapons have been learned by the community they'll truly shine.

the addition of the Squid roll is cool, even though i haven't seen much of it used. Like Xenoblade 3, the devs for Splatoon managed to nail the graphics of their third game. Everything looks cleaner. Especially the ink we fight in. (Did you know monolith assisted in development?)

Battling is almost unrecognizable. With every other mode, there's a lobby now. You can get the buff drinks here, see what your friends are doing, and even join them through a revamped matchmaking system. They even changed up the ranked mode. The way you make strides in your rank is different now. Rather than wins, you can enter a "series battle". You can give up points to go for a gauntlet of 5 battles where if you lose 3, you're done. This ranked mode rewards you on how well you preform, instead of just raw winning. This is suprisingly great and i think i don't see many other games do it. This is the first i've played to do it. Once you reach a point where you can go to a higher rank, you can attempt a "rank up battle". Same rules, but you have to win 3, or lose 3 to fail. It's like a test. When you clear it, it's a message to everyone else that you've earned your place there. More games should follow. it's genius.

To keep up with other service shooters out there, Splatoon added their own answer to a staple that all of them have. a Battle pass. Here, it's called the catalog. As you play, the points you get from EXP also go into it. As you level it up, you get stuff. Meal tickets, gear you can't get anywhere else, and extra goodies. More incentive to play, and it makes battling win or lose, more worth it (it's all free btw. It comes with the game.). Customiable lockers, banners, emotes and stickers on both make player expression reach heights it has never before in splatoon. It's fantastic.

Presentation has been upped. Splatoon has never looked this good aesthetically. My favorite addition is the new results screen, which showcases the emotes you can work to get. There's many out there to be collected, and they're all animated wonderfully.

The story mode? Amazing. It was structured like the octo expansion, but with more freedom. If you're not looking to deal with another girl power station, you can just... not do it. You craft your own path to the conclusion. And that freedom made this such a chill distraction.

Like the rest of the game, the presentation has jumped in quality. Callie, Marie, Captain 3 and everyone else are far more expressive. The more cinematic camerawork that was used more in octo expansion also returns. I really want to see the storyboards behind this. It's very clear more money is going into this.

This is it. This is easily the best Splatoon game. It's refined, updated and made better in quite literally every aspect. The specials aren't a drag, the game plays and looks great, and all of the mechanics are damn near perfect. Just like Splatoon, just like Splatoon 2, I'll be playing this for years, up until whatever comes next releases. I don't know how they'll top this.

Working on:

Lots of stuff! I’m still getting things built for a story revamp I’m going to be doing. And getting the next scenes for BYS set up and posed. I’ve just been busy so it’s taking 5ever. 😩

If we end up with anything similar to octo valley and canyon (I hope we don’t), and we end up with an old boss being reused (octostomp in 2), I REALLY really want OctoMaw to return. Octowhirl is my favourite of all the bosses, and yeah seeing a revamped fight would be cool but octomaw is just a whole other level. The two toughest bosses that have become special in my heart are Octomaw and Octo Shower.
