the movie did such a good job at putting me in isabel/owens shoes honestly because i was looking at tara/maddys monologue scene through a lens of just not letting go of nostalgia so i was like 'oh my god do not get in that hole in the ground. this is crazy' but then two minutes later with hindsight i Understood and was like 'NO YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IN THE HOLE IN THE GROUND GO BACK'

#valentino's pal AND casey's fave teammate#he's kind of like a retired crime boss who's really lovely and sweet and you wouldn't know he's responsible for a dozen murders#so he manages to exist on the crossroads of going 'look at him go :)) whenever valentino does a wee bit of attempted murder#and being this chill older teammate to casey who manages to be ridiculously non-resentful of casey's success on the bike he'd developed#//#brr brr#//ht#incidentally the pool of people casey could be slandering with 'and i've never had that too much in other teammates that followed him'#+ 'they can't really compare to him' are melandri hayden dani and dovi#the easy one is melandri who is quite likely casey's least favourite premier class teammate#hayden is in an odd zone where casey has generally been very complimentary of him as a teammate but this is also... a bit odd?#because he was casey's teammate for two years so this is kinda weird to say if you think he was great?#there was a controversy mid 2010 where allegedly a comment of hayden's that it was a 'shame' for casey to leave ducati#was mistranslated to it being 'shameful' that he left. that's all i've got... i don't think it's that but you never know#i have to be real i'm not entirely sure casey noticed dovi was his teammate in 2011. certainly doesn't mention it in his autobiography#so. dani side swipe do we think? i reckon it's a dani side swipe#but also casey is wildly inconsistent with this like in 09 he said he's glad he has an american in the box now bc europeans can't cooperate#so i suppose on aggregate he's insulted all his teammates at least a little bit#he did also say he was never really worried any of them would have the measure of him over the course of a season so.#//brr brr

Where are the Hunger Games characters all visiting Jurassic World as kids and getting stuck on the island. Where's the story of Peeta dragging Katniss to safety away from poison gas while Johanna tries to confess her feelings to Foxface under Finnick's watchful eye (Gale is hanging out with his father who is evil for some reason)?

Sushi rescued most of the Gerbombs and now cares for them so happy ending#no Gerbombs shall die under her watch. I don’t think I could deal with it if too many Gerbombs died#although they’re called Gerbombs they’re actually more physically close to jerboas#they’re so cute. I should draw a Gerbomb sometime#(I should also probably rename them jerbombs considering they’re not gerbils but ehhhhhhhhhhhhh)

I can't do a full ranking yet because I haven't finished my rereads (the last time I properly read Fall of the Beasts was years ago, so my opinions have likely changed), but I can attempt to rank the first arc!
1. Rise and Fall (they really gave us everything in this book, and the writing stayed impeccable throughout. This one has been my favourite for years.)
2. The Evertree (incredible and engaging from start to finish. If I didn't have such a strong emotional attachment to Rise and Fall, I would probably put this one in first. The showdown at the titular Evertree is hands-down one of the best moments in the series.)
3. Blood Ties (everything about this one was fantastic, and it felt way longer than it actually is, which I love.)
4. Hunted (this one was so mysterious and dark and good, I want to eat it like candy. Shane would have made it even better.)
5. Fire and Ice (Rollan and Aidana subplot was amazing and still makes my heart hurt to think about. Continuity errors and inconsistent characterization bumps it down a notch.)
6. Against the Tide (it was great, as most of them are, but it felt almost too short. I'm also not big on Tui T. Sutherland's writing style, so that affects my rating. At least there was less caps lock than WOF has.)
7. Wild Born (a good book and solid introduction to the series, but I found the others to be more memorable, personally.)
I will say that I'm absolutely loving part one of Fall of the Beasts so far, so those would be high on the list if I were to do a full ranking. I'm in the middle of Broken Ground right now, and it is so good, just as good as I remembered!
Part two of Fall of the Beasts (which I may be calling Fate of the Legends in A Revised History of Erdas) will probably be at the bottom of the barrel. I hope to be proven wrong, though!
