Okie so basically: U might think 'what does bkdk have to do anything with it?' Ya u've probably heard of it and say it was popular ERRR WRONG it was deemed toxic in the earlier seasons of the show since bakugo bullied deku in middle school and was still kinda an ass to him (it was only in like s5-s7 where bkdk became MUTUAL and had themes like loyalty and friendship surround it)

So whats that gotta do with v.deku?? There was a specific line bakugo said to deku which was "go take a swan dive off the roof and pray you're born with a quirk in your next life" so people wanted to be like "u know what this dude's life is so bad he needs to be a villain" and thats exactly what they made him (background of the context: deku was born quirkless so he's ostricized from the others and ur gonna say "hows a quirkless person gonna be a villain" deku's like REALLY smart he's a nerd who literally analyzes everyones quirk and has every single detail of it on his ntbk

And another plot hole they can add is making all might say a different thing:

In canon, deku was saved by all might and thats when deku asks him "can i be a hero too even without a quirk" i forgot the specific details about it but he's basically made into all might's successor and that gave him a fighting chance)

Going back to the idea now:

In v.deku au, instead of encouraging deku, all might crushes his dreams and tells him "naw dawg u cant be a hero ur a quirkless loser" and thats another way they can diverge from the canon while still maintaning some aspects of the original to support their au

In most v.deku aus, he joins the LOV (league of villains) and sometimes in gacha vids, him and shigaraki are siblings

(Background of the context: in canon, all might passes down his quirk to deku which is called "One for All" now this quirk originated from a single person atleast 9 generations ago. That bitch had a brother who's quirk was stealing other ppl's quirk and he's like the main antag so the good brother was like "yo i wont let u do that" and wow golly gee wilikers guess what the evil bro's name is?? All for one which is just OFA but reversed.

So what does that have to do with deku and shigaraki?? If deku is all might's successor, shigaraki is AFO's successor. Also transferring or passing down quirks can like tie the past and present conscious of the users.

BUT! THATS NOT ALL!! Thats actually partly canon already and was used later in the series AFTER that fact was revealed!!

The actual popular reason/theory is that AFO is deku's dad and since AFO adopted shigaraki, that would mean deku and shigaraki are half-siblings)

They really can not get out of each other. Always thinking of each other. One half of the duo has completed his battle. Win to save. Now all we need js save to win so how is Izuku doing...

Not okay! Omg he really just yoinked danger sense that's a top 3 quirk that has saved him from so much is he going to be okay. I actually do got some theories though for this.

So one I think we might get not just Izuku saving Tomura but everyone else. Like getting all these quirks is going to bite him in the ass and he will loose because all the vestige will basically do improptue therapy session on him trying to get to him. We could even have the angsty reunion with him and Nana. Maybe that what breaks him down and gives way for Izuku to get through to him. Then since we set a president of quirks coming back to there user he gets to still have a piece of OFA with him. Something as little as what Katsuki has.

But what if this is the beginning of him going back to being quirkless. I never knew how to feel about that hc but I also see the thematic appeal. OFA was made to defeat AFO so when that's done their mission is complete and they can and should finally rest; Izuku wanted to be a hero since the beginning and seeing him be one without a quirk will be thematic.

Can a quiekless person be a hero? Ir was posed at the beginning and the answer was given that yes as long as you get lucky in life. As long as the right person finds you. Shaggy grabs everyone, if he has OFA and at the end its Izuku the quirkless child now more confident and strong then ever then yeah he would be the biggest hero quirk or not. It works even better as time and time again BHNA has made it a theme to say that it doesn't matter where a quirk or what a quirk was given its part of you you give it meanin you make it your own. Quirk or no quirk, villan or not, dangerous, mutant what ever label society gives you it doesn't matter because it's your own. My biggest gripe with that ending will always be that this is Izuku's quirk as much as it was All Mights and the rest. I just think that it would be so heartbreaking to take part of him away. But... it does work. It shows that at the end of the day like with Toga, like with Shoto at the end of the day your not defined by the quirk.

It helped him, saved him but in the end maybe it really wasn't his to ever keep. Maybe all he needed was the confidence the will to be a hero so in the end maybe all that it takes to defeat Shirgaki is himself.

AU where Bakugou isn’t invited into the OfA secret. He finds out about All Might’s secret quirk the same time 1-A does, Izuku’s letter.

Oh yeah see that's just the version that exists in my head so might be hard to think of hc for but I'll try

1- the meetings get more dadmighty. The favoritism is obvious and so is the attempt at secrecy. It drives Bakugou slightly crazy because he KNOWS Izuku isn't All Might's kid, but it's got to be something! His best guess is that Izuku had a latent strength quirk and All Might somehow recognized this during the sludge incident, because his is similar. Then he stayed in contact because the nerd was so helpless to figure out his own quirk, and the favoritism is just the result of knowing him longer. For a while he wonders that if Izuku wasn't there, that Bakugou might have had that attention, but that thought kinda fades

2- without Bakugou to yell and chase them off, some students like Kirishima and Ojiro straight up do not notice the favoritism. Like yeah that's just All Might man, don't know what to tell you. By contrast, Kaminari does notice more and is convinced that Izuku is some attempt at cloning All Might. He thinks after Black Whip that Izuku is some science project All Might freed and is protecting. He tells only Jiro this, and she does know what's going on but just tells him he's wrong. Some start looking nervously at the Nomu, but trust Izuku and All Might enough to not question it, and Todoroki loudly talking about his two quirks is enough to quiet those fears for everyone but Aoyama.

3- without Bakugou there making certain comments about the past users, All Might is a little more willing to pose possible theories to Izuku with less evidence than canon, though with plenty of caveats. This includes his confusion about the Fourth user: he died of old age too young, but All Might just doesn't know if it's because he was hit with an unrelated quirk, or if it was an effect of OfA for anyone with a quirk, or if it was a specific genetic problem in Fourth that only some people would have but would be hard to predict. They don't know, and they can't know! The information just doesn't exist. Izuku does not criticize this lack of information, but says they'll have to error towards caution: he'll be the last user. This leads All Might to treasure their meetings and the records he can find even more.

4- when All Might and Izuku ask Uraraka to train more with zero g, they do discuss telling her more. In the end, don't mention OfA, but they do say that they've been doing a lot of research on the weird happenings with his quirk and suspect his next evolution might involve that. She mentally swears to never tell Kaminari his conspiracy theory she overheard might be true, and helps them out.

5- when Izuku leaves them all the notes, it hurts a bit to suddenly know and also know they weren't trusted, but Uraraka points out how terrifying Kamino was, and All Might at least did have the duty to prevent his students from potentially becoming more targets for what they know. Bakugou disagrees- it was Izuku's secrecy, not All Might's. And Izuku's secrecy is in part because he couldn't trust his first friend, so why these new ones he hasn't known as long? Bakugou includes that in his apology during the class rescue mission.

Hey, on the topic "quirks are diseases" again, I do think it would divided people here. Bc if you are born with Momo's quirk, wow, you made in life.

If you are born with Mineta's quirk? Tough luck.

But here a few things I want to say:

1) I talked about Rede and yes he wouldn't like people thinking quirkless are better( I think is lile at best 5% of people who do have powerful quirk) and soon a civil war would happen. Well, a dude who has a powerful quirk will be "liberate" in using 100% and envy speaks loud. Rede's end goal makes no real sense but is better than afo.

2) how the quirks came to be? Like overhaul was spreading this theory. So he lie...meaning people could have acess to this info. Quirkless are healthy one...does all schools teach about that?

3) if so, why Izu was abused? Ok say Aldera is mega shitty and never taught that. Ok. Still doesnt justify how shitty Izu was treated and he was healthy among his peers.

4) I have a hc now...that quirks users have a short lifespan compared to quirkless. Again, an intetesting concept hori wont touch with a 10 feet pole.

5) what this revelation proved? Nothing, aside Hori shitting on Izu AGAIN.

6) ok so...I do think Hori was influced by MCU but then started seeing the boys...and fails miserable. The boys does take dark concepts and explores (spoiler: they have a drug that can kill supers) it has a built up and consequences. Hori? Shits on Izu and wanks Bk's dick.

Like to sum up, this chapter proves how Izu shouldnt have been treated like that and he would be better off not being a hero. I just saw a sgdk fic where Inko - in an angst moment where she is right- asks in tears why Izu's dream has to cause him harm? Why he cant have anothet dream? Fair. He wants help people? Doctors exists. Fireworks too.

To this day I dont get why the MC wants to be a hero.

I think even if born with Mineta's quirk, you'd be set for life. The grape is cowardly but you can't deny his quirk could be highly useful as a hero. But I do get your point, quirks are a sickness no one wants a cure for.

1) ReDestro wanting people to be liberated in using their quirks makes sense - however the practicality of this not so much.

2) I bet schools (especially if some are hunting grounds for MPA recruitment) do not teach that quirkless are the 'healthy ones' because that wouldn't benefit them in any way.

3) Canonically, Bakugou being an abusive little shit is the main reason for Izuku being abused for being quirkless (although he even abused him before that point - being quirkless just have Bkg more fuel to torment him with.)

4) that's an interesting plot point - one Hori wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. But under a better writer, resentment from quirked people over them not living as long as the quirkless would make sense.

5) the revelation of quirks being from a virus meant nothing! Nothing at all! It only harmed the story - and added a heavy bias against AFO and OFA's nameless, homeless sex worker mother (thanks Hori *sarcasm*).

6) Hori may have been inspired by other superhero stories but fails in incorporating the origins of quirks in MHA.

Despite going to UA being how Izuku met his idol and friends - being a hero has only brought Izuku suffering, canonically speaking, he would have been better off doing anything else to help people.

I hate how MHA and Izuku's story has become THIS.

Since we are talking about Yhe Undone and The Divine - first I need to tell you "The power I placed inside of you? It ties us closer than you can imagine" drives me insane 24/7, and second - what does it exactly mean? Can All for One read Yoichi's thoughts, or is he being metaphorical? And what are your hcs for canonical reasons for whole "give your younger brother metapower, it definitely won't backfire"?

That line references AFO's speech from the vestige world in the chapter Hero Saturated Society (idr the number 😶‍🌫️), and also in some of the new chapters, i.e. ShigAFO vs. Star and Stripes, AFO vs. Hawks & Endeavor & Tokoyami & Jiro.

We already know that Quirks are tied directly to the user's soul/mind, enough so that it leaves an impression that lives on in another user if stolen or given away. We know that this is how All For One was able to take control of Tomura's body even though he was physically nowhere near him—and also that AFO sees no difference in those vestiges and the person they're based on, because he repeatedly refers to himself and the vestige as one and the same.

So his line of "The power I placed inside you ties us closer than you can imagine" is a direct reference to the fact that he's left a vestige of himself in Yoichi by forcing a Quirk into him. Even if All For One takes that Quirk back (which he will eventually find that he can't) he's confident that it will have both the vestige of himself AND Yoichi inside it. Thus tying them together forever :)

Plus—in canon, Izuku is regularly able to interact with the One For All vestiges and even feel their emotions and thoughts. He even mentions something about getting vague feelings from All Might, who isn't a full vestige yet. People who share a Quirk are canonically psychically linked, and All For One, the King of Quirks, would absolutely know this. He will be able to feel Yoichi's feelings and even some of his thoughts, and Yoichi will be able to do the same to him :3

As for my hcs for "giving my brother a Quirk totally won't backfire" is because everything that we learn in canon about Quirks and how they transfer or linger are things that All For One has already known for (presumably) a long time. He knows that he leaves a vestige behind in the Quirks he, uh, bequeaths unto others, and that through this vestige he can sort of 'possess' people, or at least force them into doing what he wants.

This might even have worked with Yoichi for a while, until Second and Third came to get him out of the vault and he passed One For All on to Second. Then there would've been two vestiges in the void vault to combat All For One. We don't know how long it took to lock the AFO vestige away, but we know in canon that his vestige is most likely what's behind that vault door. (Gotta love Yoichi's pettiness in vaulting his brother right back lmao—"Let's see how YOU like it!").

Yoichi is someone I see as having a lot of willpower though, so Yoichi's escape from the vault and subsequent defiance is from what I assume is Yoichi getting some hope back and fight his brother's vestige back long enough for him to get out and far away. After that I imagine it was a collective effort between Yoichi, Second, and Third to play keep away until Yoichi ended up passing OFA on to Second.

In conclusion: All For One didn't think giving Yoichi a Quirk would backfire because he never thought Yoichi would be able to get out of the vault and get help, much less pass on the Quirk. And even if it did become a problem, he had to have assumed that he could just take it right back. No one had ever come across a Quirk that could pass on other Quirks before, other than All For One, so why would he assume that he wouldn't be able to get it back? He thought he had complete control over the situation, and, if Second and Third hadn't shown up, he would've been right :/ Kinda scary to think about lol

Hi, Izu is set up to never change and fail. That's his setting, fail and be underveloped. OFA is a gift in his mind but is also a thankless job from his fav hero...who Izu worship for reasons we don't know (it's not hate to am but what am did to izu to warrant such adoration? Give the quirk? Ok. Sure, let's go with that....Izu your quirk shatter your bones and AM has no clue on what to do. No one does)
