The first time I read the Harry Potter books I was 7, and so I read them in Russian. Despite the HORRIBLY translated edition that I read (Maria Spivak), where Hagrid is Ogrid and Madam Hooch is Madam Samogoni, which directly translates to "Madam Moonshine".

But some names were unchanged, like Harry and James and Sirius etc, but what I wanna talk about is Regulus. He was still Regulus Arcturus Black.

Р.А.Б., read "R-A-B", same as in English.

The thing is, if not for the fullstops, it would be an another word that exists in Russian - раб, directly translating to "slave".

And I laughed at this when I was young, at the pun that this made. But now that I think about it, it makes sense

Regulus was sort of a slave in the Black household. In terms of ideals and beliefs that his parents imposed. He got sorted into Slytherin, he became a death eater, he obeyed his parents and in the words of Sirius was "a better son than him". Regulus also defended Kreacher from Voldemort, and Kreacher was also, essentially, a slave in the household.

So yeah, just something to think about

ou, this one made me think a bit. i wasn’t really too fond of ryukita (ryuji x yusuke from persona 5) when i first heard of it, but the pair really grew on me as i played through Royal. maybe it was because i use them both all the time and they’re somewhat similar in battle, and their personal traits really mesh well sometimes. either way i think the two can be cute together

10: is there a ship that makes your skin crawl?

disregarding any “problematic” ones... i just really really dislike dor / ogrid. (pardon the dumb nicknames) i think that Ingot makes it clear she doesn’t like Door that way. i go out of my way to not recruit Door before Ingot’s paralogue if i even recruit Door at all because i just don’t think what she says to Ingot is cute in any way, shape, or form.

Oh yeah! I FORGOT TO MENTION I tried using a lens flare on some of the grids? haha haha? you can render a lens flare in photoshop, it is one of their presets in the Filters section, under "Render."

It's pretty weird haha like who the heck is using that? (Me apparently) but who besides me? what would you actually want it for?

This is my favourite from the black and white selection, again, it's quite anonymous which is cool but yeah no passport vibes. Although it's a bit less abstracted so I guess you can kinda tell?

I don't think the black and white works that well for these images. It makes them a bit sad or something? Or just too heavy. Not what I'm trying to do. Don't even know what I'm trying to do though...

16. Elementa, I find them so interesting. Ogrids are loud and annoying and gross me out frankly (besides trolls they are precious beings that need to be protected)
