Meleanor is trying to fry Lilia with lightning WHILE he's holding Egglleus omg. SEBEK'S CRYING FOR DEAR TAMAGO-SAMA! AND!
Tumblr media
Yuu-chan finally speaks omg! "S--Stop!""At this rate, the egg--!" They're all so concerned for the egg even when they know it'll hatch anyway. So precious!
Tumblr media
"Kheeheehee... What will you do, Lilia? Will you perish here with the egg?"
She's threatening to make fried egg out of her own son if Lilia REFUSES to run away omfg. She's so unhinged oh my lord!
Then when she strikes again. Silver blocks the blow for Lilia. Lilia was shocked and Meleanor gets angry, and when questioned, Silver says:
Tumblr media
"You two care deeply for each other, so why do you fight?! Please, please stop. I beg of you!"
Baul follows suit and begs Meleanor to stop, too. Lilia begs her not to go to battle.
Tumblr media
Lilia: "If we lose both you and Levan... I wouldn't know what to do."
Meleanor: "I will say it again. I will not lose. No matter how many of them gather, no matter how many times they gather, I will burn them to the ground. Again and again."
Meleanor: "However. On the occasion that I fail to return, then you still have that child. You shall make it hatch."
Lilia: "Impossible! A dragon needs its parents' magic and affection... It needs true love to hatch! I cannot give parental love. Even loving anyone... I can never make this egg hatch!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meleanor: "You love me, no? Or were you lying when you told me you would marry me when we were young?"
Lilia: "Ha?! That was... That was over 200 years ago, when we were brats! Why are you bringing that up now..."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meleanor: "And you love Levan as well. You, my right-hand general, spent more time with him than I was married to my husband and left-hand general (Levan). You will surely treasure the child born of our blood. Wouldn't you agree, Lilia?"
Lilia: "What foolishness! Ha?!"
Lilia still struggles to object, but Meleanor starts enveloping herself in walls of thorns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"One day, to the fae who dwell on this Kingdom of Thorns, Malleus will become the auspicious star that shines and burns brightly... And to the humans, a malefic star that they shall fear.
Tumblr media
"Malleus... My beloved child. I leave him to you, Lilia."
"This is my night's blessing."

as promised for coming home on my only 10-pull key, a little birthday drabble for our beloved peepaw :) pls enjoy & happy new year to all!
". . . Cookies?"
He makes no effort to disguise the insulted disbelief as he stares down at the plate of misshapen treats, eyebrows flying so far into his hairline that they nearly disappear.
"He may be but a child, and a human at that, but surely he ought to understand the gravity of your former position, the glories in which you are entitled to—"
"Former, and disgraced if I might add," Lilia corrects him, a lopsided grin tugging on his face as he too gazes at the plate of cookies with a ludicrously pleased expression. "And Silver is all of seven, Baul. A seven year old child who worked rather hard today at staying awake to surprise me with something delicious, so I'd be most grateful if you could manage to tame that famous Zigvolt boom as I'd hate for him to wake up from his nap."
It's worse than Baul could have ever expected.
Lilia Vanrouge, the fearless and fearsome once general of the fae armies, the former right hand to their dearly departed princess, turned sentimental over a plate of lumpy, and frankly burnt on the edges, cookies.
He'd come over to further discuss the matter of his grandson training with his former commander, staunchly ignorant of his own sentimentality towards the halfling child who so closely resembled him in both pride and spirit, only to find the fae sitting alone at the kitchen table with an odd and unfamiliar expression vulnerable upon his face and cradling a cookie as carefully within his talons as if it were spun from glass. Baul had nearly leapt to arms, convinced that there had been some sort of spell or potion from those who still wished ill upon Lilia cast to tempt him into eating such bizarre looking food— even though it looked clumsily made, there was simply no way he would have been fooled into believing it had been the product of Lilia's disastrous attempts. It simply wasn't foul enough— when Lilia had startled back into awareness, only to laugh at him and proclaim to Baul's utter bewilderment that these...cookies, were in fact his birthday gift from the human child residing within his home.
To which Baul promptly informed Lilia that he had taken leave of his senses and he'd never once shared that he knew of his birthday before. If he had, there'd have been no chance of the entire country forgetting it for the wondrous celebration Meleanor and Levan would have certainly thrown in the honor of their dearest friend.
"You're right," Lilia had said, smiling that strange little half-smile as he broke his gaze away from the plate to the quiet hallway leading from the kitchen. "But then again, I had nothing about myself to celebrate until very recently."
And there, the crux of the matter, the elephant in the room that Baul never truly questioned out of loyalty to the fae that had given more than anyone ever could to the sake of their country, to the Draconias alone. The human child, the boy that had shown up suddenly and stolen Lilia away to the forest, bewitched him somehow into playing house. Baul cannot understand it— Lilia had more reason than any of them to loathe humanity, to shun it for the remainder of his life and seek to live in peace away from their kind after their unforgivable transgressions.
Instead, in front of his astounded eyes, he can only watch in silence as a tear splashes down upon the chocolate speckled surface of the cookie before it's hastily crammed into Lilia's mouth, the fae spinning around to grin at him as if in blissful ignorance of the redness gathering at the corners of his eyes.
"They're a bit salty, Baul, but I've never tasted anything better!"
Oh, he thinks, heart shaking in place as he too glances towards where a certain slumbering boy lies. Oh, you old fool. Do you even know how deep you've gone?

✿Briar's Secret [Part 8]✿
Note: THIS IS THE FINAL PART! Angst, fluff, love reunion stuff, cute kissing scene alert, cute banter scene alert, Meleanor's little sister!au, present twst era.
Mentions of my twst OC Midnight.
Tumblr media
"You broke up with Riddle? Why?" Lilia questioned as [Y/N] sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder. Lilia's heart clenched in both joy and sorrow.
"I have been having these strange dreams. I keep on meeting this person- He always pulls me towards the sunset sky and gazes at it with me till it becomes exactly midnight. And every time, the dream ends when it turns midnight. When he's about to tell me something. Its been happening for  a month. And then Riddle got angry when I couldn't do some stuff for him because the dreams have been weirding and stressing me out, so we got into a pretty nasty argument where he broke up with me." [Y/N] sighed yet again, nuzzling Lilia's shoulder.
Lilia almost felt his heart do flips at the news. She was remembering. There was no mistake. A person leaving exactly at midnight. It had to be Midnight. It frustrated him to think she'd dreamed of Midnight instead of Lilia but it was a start. He should feel bad for Riddle, but he couldn't help the seams of happiness bursting in his essence.
"What does he look like?" Lilia asked patiently, though in truth, he was far from patient. He tapped the bench they were sitting on impatiently, hoping she wouldn't notice his quiet fidgeting.
"There's actually two people. They sound only slightly different and look a bit different. The one who appears at dusk has a soft voice and short hair. The one who appears at midnight at the end of the dream has long black hair. Thats all I remember." She pressed a hand to her forehead.
Ah. So thats how it was. Inside her, [Y/N] had always seen Lilia and Midnight as important people. She'd associated them as friends. Lilia wondered, would she hate him once she knew what he'd done to Midnight? Once she knew of how he never apologized to Midnight till after his death?
"I am sure its not much. But sometimes, dreams may bring about to your notice a gleam familiar as if you may have seen it once before. It is good to keep in mind that dreams sometimes encapsulate memories. Khehehe." Lilia chuckled. [Y/N] only snuggled into him further, seeking his comfort. Something he was more than happy to give.
※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※※
It was after Malleus' overblot when [Y/N] tried to leave Twisted Wonderland that she finally remembered of her past self. Of Princess [Y/N] Draconia. She rushed as fast as her legs could carry her, to the giant double doors beyond which lay the lounge of Diasomnia dorm. Rushing in, she hurried up the flight of stairs, ignoring the students' stares as she knocked fervently on Lilia's door.
He opened the door, clearly stressed and dishevelled, his complexion pale as if he had not eaten for quite a while. His beautiful crimson eyes widened on seeing her, as he tilted his head questioningly. Without warning, she wrapped her arms around him, her hand gently stroking his soft, smooth hair as she held him gently.
"I remember." were all the words needed to get Lilia's grip to tighten around her figure. [Y/N] felt her shoulder turn damp as her beloved fae General wept on her soundlessly, his shoulders trembling from having carried burdens heavier than he could handle for centuries, all alone.
"I'm home, Lilia." [Y/N] squeezed him. "My cute little flower." she used the silly nickname she'd come up with for him as a child, since his name referred to a flower.
"Welcome home, princess." Lilia wiped away his tears, getting down on one knee as he kissed the back of her soft, delicate hand. A faint blush covered the fae's cheeks as his lips touched her skin.
[Y/N] pulled him up forcefully, grabbing his chin as she did in the past, making him look her in the eye. "Oh look at you. So adorable when you're blushing."
"Khehe. Perhaps I could show you more." Lilia leant in to her lips. His gaze was fixated on her lips, on how they would taste. He wondered if a monster, a sinner like him even deserved this. But for now, he wished he could do as his heart wanted. He couldn't hold himself back anymore. He needed her.
"When did you learn to talk back?" [Y/N] chuckled as she caressed his cheek. "You were as meek as a village girl before. And had the temper to match your short height."  She brought him in closer to her lips.
"Oh please." Lilia snickered, his warm breath fanning her lips. "Thankfully I have an advantage over you now."
"Hmm, jerk." she chuckled.
"I love you as well." Lilia grinned, his fang poking out.
"Oh, you cheeky little thing." [Y/N] grinned as her lips brushed his. "I love you."
"As do I, my dear princess." Lilia's lips met hers in a passionate kiss, his arms encircling her waist as he pulled her impossibly closer, loving her, loving her, and loving her as he'd always wanted to. He would protect her this time, with his life, he swore.
His treasure.
His perfect half.
His deepest, loveliest secret.

Far Cry Cradle
After the events of the war started by Lucis Kingdom, only those humans who helped defeat the silver owls were allowed to stay in the Briar Kingdom.
But after 400 years a peace treaty has finally been signed between the Briar Kingdom and the neighboring countries. A truly important moment that marked fairies and humans alike.
And it was a really stressful time for the Draconia family, especially for Levan, the kingdom's current king and minister of peace. The poor man was locked in his office for several weeks signing papers and sending letters to all the neighboring kingdoms. His wife and son had to forcibly drag him out to take a break.
It was also difficult for Lilia, after all she was the right hand of Queen Meleanor Draconia, and had to be by her side at all times. And he had to endure his queen's outbursts of anger when a neighboring kingdom imposed somewhat inopportune conditions.
But finally everyone could take a well-deserved rest.
Lilia went to her home, a small cabin far from the capital, which she built with her partner several years ago. He already wanted to arrive, to finally be able to lie down in his bed and fall asleep embraced with his beloved wife and his dear...
“¡BUA, BUA!”
That cry could be heard outside the cabin, a cry that I knew very well and that I missed a lot, with the whole treaty thing. Lilia hardly had time to spend with her family. But now he's going to fix that.
Without wasting any more time, the fairy flew to the window of the room he shared with his beloved and was able to see his wife and his little son.
Leia stood next to the crib, worryingly rocking the baby back and forth.
"What's wrong Silver, are you hungry?... No, maybe it's your diaper?... Also, did you lose your blanket?... No, here it is, my sweet Silver, what do you need?"
“Maybe a lullaby would help.”
Both the woman and the baby were surprised to hear that familiar voice.
“Lilia, you came back”
“Hello my love, I see that you have some problems putting our little one to sleep.”
“Yes, it's been like this these days and I don't know why…”
“Baba…Baba”
The little boy stretched out his little hands towards his father while a cute little smile formed on his face.
“Oh how cute, apparently he's very happy to see you.”
“Khee hee, I see it”
Lilia approached Leia and extended her arms, she understood what she wanted, and carefully placed Silver in her father's arms.
The baby was very happy, babbling incoherent words while playing with his father's long hair.
But it was already too late, so without further ado the fairy began to sing:
A warm cradle
Starlight and joy
My eyes are watching over you still,
let’s be together
With no fear,
even if we wake from this dream
Sleep, sleep,
my beloved child
In dreams,
I pray you would be guided
to walk toward the light
When the song came to an end, the little one was already asleep, being careful not to wake the baby, Lilia placed him in his crib.
A warmth filled the fairy's heart when she saw how her son slept, he looked so cute and fragile, but every day the little boy grew more and he knew that in the future he would become someone strong and independent who would protect his loved ones.
The feeling of being hugged from behind took him out of his thoughts, his beloved rested her head on his shoulder and also watched as his baby slept.
“He really missed you.”
“I missed him too, I missed them both.”
The fairy turned around and looked the human in the eyes.
“I love you beast”
No matter how many times she heard those words, they always made her heart jump for joy.
“I love you too Lilia”
Without saying another word, Leia sealed her lips with Lilia's, and they melted into the kiss.
Lilia was finally home.
(I'm sorry if you don't understand, English is not my first language).

✿Briar's Secret [Part 6]✿
Note: Angst, fluff?, Riddle Rosehearts, heartbreak, present twst era.
Tumblr media
It was in his third year of Night Raven College that an otherworldly magicless Prefect showed up at the institution. Naturally, Lilia's interest was piqued in her, also considering the fact that she had grown quite close to Malleus, who was generally distant from people due to his status as prince.
It was on a calm autumn day that he happened to run into her. Grim was running away with a piece of sandwich in his mouth, quite obviously stolen from either of the two Heartslabyul boys that frequented the Ramshackle dorm. She tripped on a stone as she chased him. Lilia quite swiftly held out a hand and caught her, a playful smirk forming on his face.
"You should watch where you are going, lest you lose your head." He chuckled as he helped her back up. It was then that he finally laid eyes on her face. That same shade of deep [e/c] stared into his crimson eyes, as the very same sheepish smile he had last seen four hundred years ago greeted him once again. A low blush crept on his face as he admired her bangs, each one the exact same as he'd seen in the past, each curve and each feature the exact identical copy as that of his beloved princess. As Meleanor's little sister. The only difference was that she was human. He'd heard of reincarnation, and if this was it, Lilia Vanrouge was the luckiest damn person alive.
"Sorry. I really need to watch where I'm going." She panted as she pointed at Grim. "He's seriously a menace. This is all his fault, please take up any issues with him."
Lilia laughed as she shifted the blame onto Grim. Oh, her voice. Her sweet, sweet voice. What he'd do to wrap her in his arms, kiss her lips and make love with her the way he never had in her previous life. Yet the joy in his heart ceased as soon as he remembered one thing. [Y/N] didn't recognize him. To her, he was a stranger.
"[Y/N]! Are you alright?" A familiar redhead came up, his heels clacking on the floor. Lilia knew him to be Heartslabyul's dorm leader, Riddle Rosehearts. He was an uptight student who preferred studying for hours on end for perfection. It was an admirable trait in a youngster such as him.
"Yeah, I'm good. This student here helped me out." [Y/N] smiled as she pointed at Lilia. This student. That stung. She really had no idea who he was. Lilia forced a smile onto his face, though his heart squeezed tightly in his chest from pain.
"I see. Thats good. I must thank you, Lilia-senpai. You have done me a favour." Riddle smiled warmly.
"A favour? Why, I have hardly done anything other than what was expected of me as a fellow student!" Lilia smiled as he floated slightly in the air. As expected, [Y/N] gawked at him. How adorable. Maybe he could make her fall for him in this life.
He wished.
Riddle's next words crushed Lilia's hopes entirely.
"You have saved my girlfriend. Obviously, I must repay you in some kind." Riddle smiled.
