okay so chapter nine just destroyed me. I didn’t think I’d be more emotionally devastated after reading chapter seven, specifically “You watched Agatha fall into relationships, then marriage. You became the godmother to her two children.” because if you’re the godmother of her children then you most DEFINITELY would’ve been invited to the wedding and I’ve been trying not to implode over how it felt watching her get married to someone else, unless you couldn’t bring yourself to do it, skipping out on it entirely, drinking alone. BUT CHAPTER NINE?? THE KISS??? HOW IS MY HEART SUPPOSED TO RECOVER FROM THIS. God. the way she whispers your name.  The way you can’t help but overthink it afterwards, seeing it as Agatha using you to numb her pain. this blew me away. im still wrestling with this tight feeling in my chest from reading it. And then you broke my heart with “Agatha is still there. And that’s the cruelest part of all.“ it’s so clever given the context of the story. Because you’ve been her constant, but being there doesn’t always mean belonging to someone. “You were never mine to lose” is so genius, because even if she was never yours, you ended up losing her anyways. Anyways I could ramble about this for hours, and im gonna go reread all of it again. I’m so in love with your writing, youve blessed us by sharing it <3

so...was their instructor elio? if so thats crazy. always imagined him playing a stringed instrument (like pulling strings, puppeteer-esque bc he's like manipulating the future idk) so i always pictured him playing like violin, or harp. but also maybe bass bc he's sort of setting everything up and he like tells the future, and his v basic instruction (bc lets be honest they're barely following the script, its v lenient) there just wouldnt be stellaron hunters, and usually basses keep everyone on beat, idk.

kafka with calloused hands is so important to me she’s always wearing gloves now but won’t really wear them when she’s playing the violin because it’s much more intimate that way.
