#text #art #eyestrain #cw eystrain #bright colors #cw bright colors #tetris #nintendo #god i dont know what to tag this with. i dont wanna tag it with the podcasts themselves cuz that feels disingenuous. swagever #i actually started this piece a while ago. ok yeah looking at the date that was almost 3 weeks ago wow #but i finally decided to bring it back and finish it #ive been getting back into digital art and its been really nice. its nice having finished pieces.#ive been trying to get weirder with my art. like this piece was weirdly 'personal' in a sense #its been my unique experience listening to these pieces of media. the game in the bg is jsut as important to my experience as the art itsel #the looming sense of dread these podcasts give fit weirdly well with the high tension of some of these games of tetris #i wanted to have that sorta weird ominous vibe to it. have even the pieces feel loud and threatening.#and the gameplay being Past the ds itself is something i thought could be neat #ykno the tetris effect? where you play a bunch and then after you see the shapes everywhere;you play it in your mind?#that was part of what i wanted to channel there. but also like; how your attention works with this stuff #i might be looking straight at the ds but my attention is elsewhere; my brain is in another world #the game is still inescapable tho. tetris effect whatever. these stories stick in my brain just as much.#its all given me some. very very annoyingn anxiety. but i have to go back to them. like a moth to a flame etc. hince the moth climbing out #but uh yeah. that set up was my life for a few weeks whenever i had free time.#the main podcast this is about was magnus btw <- not typing full name so im not on the tag #and uh.#objectum #yeah i think. i think yeah.

Genetically impossible for a cat to have #i dont care about genetics that much when it comes to family trees but i like to design cats that look like they could exist irl #if that makes sense.#so for blackstar. you can do a few things. you can do his impossible canon design which is perfectly valid #you can make him a colorpoint/'siamese' type and make his face and tail black #although i dont think some people realize that colorpoints ALWAYS have blue eyes. you cant keep his canon eye color like that #if youre concerned about him looking like a real cat #but what i did here is hes a black cat with lots of vitiligo #which is not actually that popular but makes a whole lot of sense! and he gets to keep his eye color #especially considering he could be named blackkit cause hes all black at birth #but by the time hes a warrior he has lots of white spotting and only his paws remain all-black so they call him blackfoot #anyway im here to spread vitiligo blackstar propaganda #also i jsut think this dude is neat. hes a neat character i like him #guy who commits war crimes but redeems himself enough to get into heaven

can i just say. and this is probably a niche hill to die on. that i am so gobsmacked every time someone vaguely hints at the idea that jotaro doesn't care meaningfully for the other crusaders, usually particularly kakyoin and joseph, when those two actually tend to be the ones he reacts to being hurt the hardest

like he cares for his loved ones!!!! that literally plays into his character motives in every single part he shows up in!!! stop lying to me!!!!!!!

#kiki.txt #jjba #i'm going to ramble in tags actually. excuse me #ok. rereading sdc and so confused at the general perception of jotaro and his friends/family. he's not NEARLY as flat or as dickish #i understand that the anime (particularly the dub) tends to slander him but even then he still clearly cares for them! i'm confused #i also understand that a lot of people dig against jotaro and kakyoin as a dynamic because 'they're popular' and that generally disliking #popular things across media is a thing that i've seen consistently everywhere but the discredit to them simply as a DUO and not even as a #pairing is so..... odd..... like they're considered to be a duo that clicks for a reason. i enjoyed them even before i got into the fandom #every time i see someone say jotaro is overrated/dull i take a shot and assume they're an anime-only or only read the manga like once btw #joseph and jotaro also have a neat dynamic and they obviously both love and care for each other. like they're not going to go around loudly #or anything but literally the entirety of the lovers and the prelude to the dio fight IS jotaro being worked up over joseph getting hurt #equally i don't know if it translates to the anime as much but joseph is VERY complimentary when it comes to jotaro. like he sings his #praises so often and reminds everyone that he's his grandson so frequently (d'arby the gamer is a good example of this). either way it's so #peculiar....... there's not enough avdol and jotaro content btw (also in canon) because jotaro obviously looks up to him and avdol jokes #around with him on the occasion they interact after their intro which doesn't start very well. it's very cute #i do think an important thing to note about jotaro's character is how he acts AFTER his intro because he's so drastically different. early #jotaro and later jotaro aren't the same character and i do not mean this in a character development way. excluding the jail incident he's #completely different and probably shouldn't really be taken into account (especially considering the amount of slapstick in araki's intros)#and i think that's really???? what people center on for his character? Which sucks balls bad!#anyways. i could ramble more about this if asked i have so much to say but sigh. jotaro cares so much for his friends and family he's not a #flat fully cold asshole character regardless of whether you watch the anime or ova or read the manga. you just have poor media literacy #i wouldn't recommend watching solely the anime for his character though. the dub also changes a lot so it's... questionable #i love the anime and it's still important for him though. also adds neat stuff. i need to stop myself. i have many thoughts on the matter #jotaro kujo #joseph joestar #noriaki kakyoin #adding in case anyone sees: i am not saying that he is perfect about this. in fact he is very ass about it with jolyne and holly and that's #very important. he also is in fact an asshole sometimes. i know astrology is fake but i'm not too keen on how a lot of people on this website seem to be clowning on it as a hobby a bit too hard. i swear the woman who thinks it's neat how she and her friends with the same sun sign are all similar isn't trying to say that you are who you are born as and there is nothing you can do to change it. it's a hobby. an interest. what happened to finding meaning and joy in the small things. does it affect you if someone enjoys tarot reading or crystals. does it make you upset someone has interests that they enjoy.

#im not saying astrology/tarot/crystals/etc. get clowned on so much bc theyre hobbies mostly enjoyed by women But....#i saw a post about some astrology study and made the mistake of opening the notes on that bad boy #not fun. and that reminded me of that old post that was basically like ''liking astrology is transphobic''#anyways idk maybe its just that my bestie is very much a ''crystal girl'' but like. stuff like that are such neat hobbies #she makes some cute little jars with pretty rocks and they make her feel better bc if you believe in something you can make it happen #when it comes to small things #like yeah if you pick up a stone that's like ''this can help you be more open with your emotions'' and you are like ''oh hell yea!''#ofc that will be on your mind and the item will be a constant reminder and actually help you with your goals #and its like. ok what really stuck with me was when i was talking with my bff and i was like ''i think all this stuff is interesting but i #feel bad bc i am superstitious and believe in some signs like lucky numbers but i know that logically its just. if i pick a lucky number of #i pay extra attention to it but i want to believe its lucky but i know how human brains work in that aspect''#and she was just like. OK?#ummm. other notes:#our sinosauropteryx texture isnt complete yet - at the time we were just really eager to get a picture of it #so we made this little scene #it's complete enough to look alright in pictures and thats what matters #also our microraptor is slightly sexually dimorphic!#the males have longer display feathers on their tails than the females do #i think the one in the Little Guy Conference is a male #also all the little guys are to scale. but it was completely accidental #they were all so small that we had to model them larger than their IRL size #and coincidentally they all came out around 3x their actual size. so theyre all more or less correctly scaled to eachother #i just think thats neat.
