you guys will see a post talking about how incels are refusing to form basic human connections because of toxic masculinity, lone wolf syndrome, and seeing women as sex objects whose only purpose is to be emotionally and sexually available for men...
and then start talking about how people with social anxiety are people too :((( what's wrong with being socially awkward?
like bro.
If you have social anxiety, and you have a hard time communicating, and you're neurodivergent, and you're an introvert... yeah ok, but why do you immediately side with guys whose entire mantra is that women aren't people and they shouldn't be lonely ever, because women should be provided to them like service dogs by the government?
I know you're socially awkward and all, but come the fuck on. unless you've been living locked in a small basement bunker your entire life, being fed chips by a robot through a hole in the ceiling, you should be able to fucking figure out.
that there's a fucking difference between being awkward and accidentally hurting people's feelings because you have perpetual foot in mouth syndrome/have a hard time connecting to people.
and sitting in your room saying slurs on overwatch and telling female gamers that they're fat ugly bitches who should send nudes.
why would you even WANT to associate yourself immediately with that demographic? why do you read something about the worst people alive, who are deliberately awful to other people, and then say oh look it's me, I'm also "not good with people."
are you THAT socially awkward?
God I hate when I'm so socially awkward that I'm a sexist.
God I hate how my neurodivergence leads me to misogyny. what a weird coincidence that neurotypicals somehow also accidentally end up there too.
God, i hate when anxiety makes me want to lash out at women for existing, that's so bizarre.
yeah, good frame, guys. good work. let's say that all the willful evil in this world can be attributed to mental illness because accountability for your own actions is actually ableism, and all people who are mentally ill should be excused for whatever gross war crime they want to commit.
when you think about it, being a racist is also a form of social anxiety because you just can't talk to anyone who's not white.
your POOR thing.
poc all across the world really need to take in account that white people only became colonisers because they were socially anxious and have a hard time speaking to people, so instead they opted for genocide.

False dichotomy to say that the IDF is commiting ethnic cleansing or genocide instead of war? No, man, that's just words having meanings and using the most accurate words to convey those meanings.
Besides, since when has genocide ever had "nuance"? If you're arguing that there is nuance to whether or not something qualifies as genocide? Does it not qualify as genocide yet because we're only counting identified remains in the mass graves found so far?
You're also claiming a whole lot of things about Hamas which just...aren't true anymore. And are implying that it's ok for the IDF to kill civilians because "that's just war" in pursuit of killing Hamas members. ADDITIONALLY, you keep implying that Hamas and civilians are the same or indistinguishable.
If this was a war, where is Palestine's military? Where are the battles between the armies?
Again, it's not a war because one side is a military (IDF) and then the other side is the citizens of a nation, and inside of that nation, there is a terrorist group, and Zionists keep trying to argue that it's entirely acceptable to kill civilians in pursuit of killing members of the terrorist group.
Even if that was acceptable (it's not. Killing civilians is globally agreed not to be acceptable), it's not even "effective." There are mass graves with bodies tied and shot and dumped together. If those were terrorists, the IDF would LOVE that kind of propaganda, saying they destroyed entire terror cells.
Those aren't terrorists. Those are parents and children the IDF decided to kill because the point is to murder enough Palestinians that the rest flee and Israel claims Palestine.
We can see this because this is what they have been doing the last half year. Everyone has been repeatedly forced out at gunpoint, marched from one city to another, until everyone left is in Rafah and Rafah is being bombed with literally nowhere else for everyone to go.
If the goal isn't genocide, well, somehow the IDF just so happened to be doing that anyway. And I don't believe anyone seriously buys "we are accidentally commiting genocide oopsies" like come on, it's pretty clear by now.
And I am not the one who brought up that stupid Hiroshima example, but, sure, the purpose of those atom bombs was to commit mass murder and the targets were civilians and the point was terror. And since then, the US has been able to do whatever they want with Japan. Uh, it does sound very similar, doesn't it?
If you wanna pick at definitions, that's a huge red flag 🚩 but sure ok fine if a nation has to entirely wipe out another to use the word "genocide", then historical examples of genocide suddenly become empty.
Again, we're back at refusing to use the definitions of what words mean, which, ok, how you plan on communicating with anyone ever?? It's not like this topic exactly has cultural nuance. It's people with guns mass murdering and mass torturing unarmed families, including children. One side is a military. The other are regular people. In their own fucking homes. You ever bother to look up project lavender? That's info straight from the IDF, no claiming I've biased sources nonsense. They admit to shooting families in their homes.
And as far as who "belongs" in Palestine? If we are going to compare this to north and south america, it would be like somebody from the specific part of Africa where everyone comes from arguing that actually they should be in charge of the United States. Never mind the native Americans who have been here the last so many hundreds of years (Palestinians) or the colonizer Europeans (Israel), this should be under control by that particular place in Africa, that nation.
Like yea this was Jewish land a fuckton of years ago, but it absolutely does not make sense to kick out generations of families that have lived in Palestine since Mongolian empire times. Do I think them buying it off of them was legit? Not really. Ghengis Khan conquered that whole swath of nations with violence. But it makes more sense to have a separation of religion and state (yes I'm staring at Muslims who want the Quran to guide nation policy. That shit is fucking weird. No.) than a colonizer ethnostate.
Anyway, you go on to talk about the ways I was describing how this is genocide as red herrings and diversions and stuff, which is kinda weird. Those are examples of what's been going on and why it's called a genocide. That's not a distraction from the point. It's evidence to the point.
Sources? Literally check every news outlet and social media platform and you can look at updated murder counts and watch the violence in real time. People are live streaming and uploading photos and videos of mass graves, bodies missing limbs, etc. I can't stare too long without feeling ill, but I'm not going to pretend this isn't happening.
Look, I'm not a particular fan of Islam and have some Opinions on things Palestine needs to do. A lot of the ACTUAL wars were started by Palestine and kept resulting in losses of life and ceding parts of Palestine. It's not like there ISN'T history here.
It's also not ok to try to use that history to justify atrocities against largely unrelated people. Or if we are murdering kids because the country they live in has terrorists, then we better get started murdering all the kids in the US. (And to be clear, that is a terrible idea, to kill the children of violent people. That literally doesn't help any party on the map.)
Throw all the Jew haters in prison for rest of their lives. Sure. No argument from me. While we're at it, global curriculum on what antisemitism looks like. I didn't know most of those dog whistles until far toi recently. That's its own issue that needs education to rectify it at scale.
Killing random civilians ISN'T at all the same as that. If the IDF actually was targeting terrorists, you know, and they actually were specifically antisemitic, this wouldn't be a whole thing. Ok, it would still have been a thing because the world is antisemitic and that baked in hatred means people would still say whack shit. But it would have also been over pretty quickly and everyone would have moved on with their lives and things would be back to "baseline", which includes the antisemitism issue but it would not be WORSE like it is now.
Why? Because it's 75 years later and all the original "we hate Jewish people" Hamas members are very very dead, except they have been replaced by "wow I really hate the people who are bombing the fuck out of us"
And I think I sorta get that you can't take anybody seriously when they don't understand just how baked in the antisemitism is, but you do also gotta understand that this ISN'T that.
2024 Palestine is full of people who don't hate Israelis for being Jewish. 2024 Palestine is full of people who hate the IDF for murdering their children/parents or kicking them out of their home at gunpoint.
Is the shitty "baseline" antisemitism there? Of course. I don't think the average person has any clue they are repeating antisemitic dog whistles. But the very real fear of violence can't be used to justify atrocities. Your fear is real and a lot of it is justified. That doesn't mean the IDF gets a free pass to do all the awful things they are doing.
Part One of publicly rebutting people from the comments & reblogs of this post:
Tumblr media
First off @bookwyrm314 has been fighting tooth and nail, yes, I am going to call out people who are defending terrorists who in their charter call for the genocide of Jews, blaming them for everything that ever happened in the world (hi Nazi playbook) and just the general lack of any acceptance of peace. link to their charter that if you haven't read or even skimmed... why are you backing a group you know nothing about? HAMAS CHARTER
Okay to be honest i copied and pasted the comment thread into chatgpt cause the original thread was really wordy & repetitive, with lots of detailed examples & emotional appeals. it was hard to follow after seeing it all in one place. i wanted to shorten it to just the main points.
The difference between war and genocide is that war involves two military groups, while genocide involves a military group targeting civilians, which is happening in Gaza. War has rules: you don’t target civilians, especially children, or pen millions into a single city and starve them. That's ethnic cleansing, not war. The IDF is shooting children and forcing an entire population on a march to Rafah, then bombing the city. This is genocide, not war.
The logical fallacies are off the charts for the entire argument but I'll play.
False Dichotomy = Black-and-White Thinking or presenting a situation as only having two possible categories (war or genocide) without acknowledging the complexities and nuances of the conflict.
What a hasty generalization or generalizing the actions of the entirety of the IDF, as well as the whole conflict with no evidence to back it up. It's also a nice appeal to emotion, which yeah, we should use emotions it is what makes us humans but what truly makes us humans is having emotions but not letting them dictate what we do or think.
Colonization isn’t a justification for ethnic cleansing. It’s insane to say, "You should have ceded your country to colonialism for peace." There are 1.5 million displaced and starving Palestinians. Mass murdering civilians and claiming there were terrorists among them is a war crime. Hiroshima was genocide because it mass-murdered a city. War involves two military groups, not civilians. This situation isn’t war; it’s military versus civilians. Hamas isn’t the children or the city of Rafah.
This is a straw man. You've misrepresented my argument or maybe based on the arguments below not understood that Israel is an indigenous people of the land, they also accepted a two state solution but the Arabs didn't, which led to the Nakba. I explained all of this but you replied with this which is why I say this is a straw man.
Another appeal to emotion instead of actual facts or references. For the record, you stated earlier that war was ugly, this is part of war.
Hiroshima is a false equivalence, you are equating two very different historical events without even acknowledging the significant differences in context and nature. The second bit is circular reasoning, you are assuming what you are trying to prove without providing any evidence.
Another bit of black-and-white thinking, as if civilians have never waged wars in history or things might be more complex in this situation.
Palestine has existed since families bought land from the Mongols in the 14th century. British colonization doesn’t erase that history. Forcing Palestinians to Rafah, starving, and bombing them is a deliberate strategy, not war. Killing civilians creates more terrorists, not fewer. It looks like an attempt to eradicate a nation. The IDF is blocking aid and killing those bringing food. Forcing people to walk across the country with nothing is like the Trail of Tears. It’s ethnic cleansing.
You are appealing to antiquity/tradition as though because something had historical precedent it should be valid or justifiable in the current context. The Jews do the same but they don't go around in their official charter saying that everyone else are infidels, that one specific group is the reason for every bad thing that happens in the world or that until all Arabs everywhere in the world are dead the 'day of judgement' isn't going to come. So... think on that.
To be honest this has nothing to do with anything. It's a non sequitur.
You present another situation with black-and-white thinking, as though there are only two possible categories, ignoring once more the complex nuances of conflict.
This is a classic slippery slope way of thinking. You are suggesting that killing any civilian ever will inevitably lead to the creation of more terrorists without any evidence for this progression happening.
You again assume what you are trying to prove - that there is an attempt to eradicate a nation - without any sufficient evidence.
A final appeal to emotions.
You claim I lack empathy for civilians, but I can distinguish between soldiers and civilians. Your "whataboutism" shows you care more about winning an argument than understanding the truth. Citizens shouldn’t be targeted, that’s a global rule. Were child victims like Hind child soldiers? The Holocaust had survivors; does that mean it wasn’t genocide? Your argument insults Jewish, Japanese, and Palestinian people. The IDF targeting civilians isn’t war; it’s mass murder. They admitted to waiting for targets to go home and killing entire families. Killing 300,000+ civilians is villainous. Making people walk a trail of tears and starving them is evil. Repeating Nazi tactics to win isn’t worth it. Fifty years ago, we’d agree Hamas is bad, but now Hamas is filled with Palestinians angry because the IDF killed their families. Bombing Palestine makes more angry survivors, not fewer. Killing civilians isn’t smart, and it seems like the goal is genocide.
Another straw man at the start, you aren't actually talking about the point.
Oooh! A new one! You decided to attack the character and motive instead of addressing the actual argument. That's an Ad Hominem. Another new one! A Red Herring! Diverting from the main argument and creating distractions instead of focusing on the main discussion.
You really do view the world entirely in black-and-white don't you? How easy life must be.
You also love to generalize the side you don't like without any evidence or nuance and not acknowledging any of the complexities of the situation.
And another slippery slope!
I was going to go through each point and provide evidence to refute everything but goddamn. For one, you provided no actual evidence, for two this entire thing was so laughable after reading it like this.
You are exactly who my original posts targets and that is why you were triggered.

Please what are your thoughts on Merlin, I haven't thought about that show in 8 years
Forgive me lads for putting Merlin meta in your dash in 2022. I am sorry. But know that this could be much longer
important context tho, is that I find Merlin infinitely rewatchable cause I don't have to like, use my brain. So I pop an episode on sometimes. I must have rewatched the show like, 7 times over the years. Idk it's almost white noise for me
ok I guess my general thesis of the hypothetical presentation on Merlin I'd give on the fly is that Merlin is a show that's constantly in a tug of war against itself. It's already an extremely conservative show where the main theme is that 'things right now are bad, but we can change them for the better by keeping things exactly as they are' which is hilarious to me.
A bbc show for children can't encourage questioning authority and traditional values or the existence of the monarchy but also this show wants to have things to say about all of those topics. It wants to be modern but can't openly critique arthuriana, it's trying to both maintain the nonsense english identity and ideology attached to it over the centuries without embracing the weirdness of the old legends, but also is trying be hip and young, cash in on the freaky england fashion trend americans are going through
So how does that manifest in the show? Besides some vague nonsense with semi-colorblind casting and vague metaphors for every marginalized group possible? Every episode they introduce a new threat that, if they thought about it with the same mindset that they had in the previous episode, should lead them to the obvious conclusion that the monarchy that is currently committing genocide is bad. But they can't have that, so they have Gaius say the opposite of something he said in another episode (Gaius being the moral guide of each ep so we learn the new rules of the universe for the current one) and Merlin reacts as if it was understood that this new stance is the what they'd already had; they fight the threat and save the king. Rinse, repeat
It's a neverending cycle of moving goalposts and a completely fluid morality so that they always reach the same conclusion over and over and over, each episode echoing the overarching story. It's like a big conservative loop with no logic, only the idea that Arthur being king is good and will fix things (the genocide that is currently still happening), even after he is already king and is already not fixing anything. But he is 'the greatest king Camelot has ever had', whatever that means.
BUT there's a turn that happens in the last season that kind of collapses this whole schtick. I need to give context for this in case the person reading hasn't rewatched Merlin six times: Merlin is given the choice to save or kill Mordred, the guy he knows will kill Arthur. For convoluted reasons, saving Mordred will make magic legal. So Merlin has to choose to either save Arthur or end the prosecution of his own people. He saves Arthur, like he does for the entire show, and when he does that he accidentally kickstarts the last arc where Mordred kills Arthur and the show ends with magic remaining hidden for the rest of time. Thanks Merlin! This is kind of surreal coming from this show, and I AM reading too much into it obviously but you asked for it: the final arc is when Merlin has to face the fact that protecting the status quo and maintaining the state that is actively persecuting his people, doesn't do anything to end said persecution. He had the agency in this moment to cause the solution that he'd wanted the whole time but he doesn't do it because he has never accepted that the means to cause change is through change.
Anyway, the very ending of the show features Colin Morgan in old man make-up walking next to what I presume is the M-25 because it would be funny if it was. And we're meant to think that it's bittersweet and he's waiting for Arthur to return and take his place back on the throne, so he can be there to help him usher a new era where magic will be back to Albion. But given the reading I just gave you, the ending of Merlin, thematically, is a sad ending where the main character is still doing nothing to change the current world but expecting and hoping that change will come if we stay still. It's really sad and awfully tragic of the show. This is what will happen if you live your life to guard the institutions that do not love you back.
And that's what I have overthought about Merlin. I have much more where this came from. I'm sorry for this.

Chara, the fourth Blook cousin:
A crack theory that accidentally become way more serious than it should have because it somehow, despite my best efforts, ended up making sense
Brought to you by my idiot conspiracy brain (affectionate) and by encouragement from my Tumblr followers
Under the cut for the sake of your dashes and sanity
Ok here we go my very elaborate accidental theory, because in order to answer the complex questions simply you must first make simple things more complex or something
First, you need to know that Chara became a Blook cousin by adoption.
All of the Blooks are adopted.
Ghosts are not born into families, they make their own.
Got it? Great, because we’re about to start running
so first, im gonna make surprisingly uncommon claim in this fandom, and I am going to say that undertale ghosts are all dead
I’m taking the tiny details we know about ghosts and sprinting with them to new places
Ghosts also do not have souls I decided
Undertale souls do not work the same as souls in traditional mythology
So every ghost is soulless Unless and Until they become corporeal
Evidence: Monster souls cant exist without bodies, and ghosts are monsters, therefore ghosts cannot have souls without bodies
Further evidence: Asriel doesnt steal blooky’s soul, blooky is unkillable, we have no concrete evidence that blooky has a soul
What about mettaton? He only has a soul after he has completely committed to being corporeal and to a specific body.
Also maddy and mettaton are both only killable while corporeal
Im also connecting the dots we have about souls in a new creative way so let me live for a second
Additionally, i am going to claim that there are a lot more ghosts than just the blooks, some evidence given below
Theres like actual scientific knowlege of ghosts in the undertale verse which seems unlikely if theres literally only three or four
The underground is so much bigger than you think, theres that giant forest in snowdin, a large town in the ruins, the huge city of new home, who knows how much space in the large open areas of waterfall etc. Its really really big okay
Also based off evidence of blooky, we can conclude that ghosts can turn invisible whenever they want to and/or haunt objects to hide
So I personally think that ghosts are, generally speaking, extremely reclusive
And the blooks are just a special exception, a beautiful family, amazing for them
So anyway im going with typical ghost lore for now, for the sake of ease, so im gonna say ghosts generally come from monsters who are particularly restless or unsatisfied when they die
HOWEVER i dont think they remember being monsters or anything before being a ghost. They just kinda fizzle into existance with a fully formed personality and immortality while being unkillable and feeling vaguely uneasy
ALSO i personally think that chara was a ghost for a long time before they became a blook by adoption
Based on game lore, i think ghosts can possess any inanimate object and just kinda wear it? But it takes a lot of strong emotion to become corporeal
And chara is the super weird exception because they were a human not a monster.
They dont have a soul (i headcanon that their soul got destroyed when asriel died)
And they KNOW this, which is a huge part of why they kinda just... give up
Because they lost their ability to fulfill prophecy
Also, without a soul, they lost their ability to reset, so for the first time since falling underground, theyre subject to the relentless march of time
But theyre still weirdly strong and powerful and more emotional
ALSO they DO still remember being a human but they catch on pretty quickly that other ghosts dont have memories and because chara is stupid they just lie to fit in
Theyre too tired to explain themself, they just want to be alone and feel awful
Now back to ghost lore
Emotions are a lot harder for ghosts??? I decided
And they dont know why,, they tend to blame it on the soul thing
But realistically its actually more of the immortality thing making actions not have consequences and/or or not having a body so they cant have a sense of touch or have physical effects of emotion
They all know that ghosts just tend to be way more floaty and bored and numb
And thats part of why the blooks are so special
Maddy’s rage and Mettaton’s yearning and Napstablook’s misery are like... not great all of the time...
but theyre also way way more emotion than most ghosts have,,, they are just a family supporting each other, being as functional as they can,, just an emo(tional) ghost family
most ghosts barely do anything except like stare at walls but the blooks have their snail farm and that helps them have purpose and it is good
And they hold each other accountable and it is nice
So anyway chara just chills and is in a depression coma for a few decades before the blooks find them and are like “our child/baby cousin”
and they raise them for a cool minute
They are all very protective of the new baby emo blook
And chara doesnt get therapy but at the very least they once again have a family, and they decide they want to try to become corporeal eventually just like mtt and maddy
So anyway chara starts hanging out in the ruins a lot more and they finally tell the blooks theyre leaving to go become corporeal in the ruins
This is actually because they are trying to hang out with toriel
because they miss their mom ;;
but chara’s not gonna admit that to anyone, especially not to themself
And because theyre still repressing their emotions constantly and pretending to be fine, they cant become corporeal
And they hang out in the ruins for a long time because they feel guilty lying to everyone about everything
They still feel like its their fault that all the monsters are stuck underground, because they were SUPPOSED to save everyone and they COULDNT and it HURTS
But again, they are doing too much repression to use this guilt to become corporeal,
so instead they just kinda hide and watch toriel from a distance and cry
Blooky visits them the most, thats why blooky is chilling in the ruins so much at the start of the game
Theyre just there to visit their shy baby cousin ;;
Ofc they wont tell frisk about this because chara wants space and privacy and blooky respects that
but maddy and mtt also visit them a lot
Oh also when mtt and maddy start dissapearing, blookys mental health plummets as their family and support system starts to dissolve
Blooky was actually doing extremely well (for a ghost) for a long time, i headcanon,
but theyre doing the worst theyve been in a long long time during the game, because of family issues
So anyway, chara dissapears when frisk shows up, and maddy assumes this is becaude frisk hurt their fragile feelings
Maddy spends hours desperately searching the ruins for chara and cant find them and assumes that they had their heart crushed and went to hide and disappear in a depression coma for another few decades, and thats part of why maddy is so furious with frisk
Like,, to be clear, maddy is still jumping to conclusions and throwing blame around with no proof, but also, its a logical conclusion to come to
And mettaton has already disappeared too and been gone for a while, too, by this point, so it hurts even worse
But anyway, what actually happened to chara is that;
Because chara is a human ghost, not a monster ghost, normal ghost rules dont apply to them
And they can possess living things too they find out
Maybe they knew it a long time ago, maybe its a new discovery, but for whatever reason they end up possessing frisk and theyre like “what the heck”
And frisk still has most of the control
But now chara is like,,, “this is my chance, im a human again, gotta save the world for real,,,”
and they cant explain this to anyone without revealing their past
so they just chill in frisk’s mind while being super crypic and trying to figure out how it works
Pacifist route, this is pretty much exactly what happens
They manage to help frisk save the day
And in my headcanon, the no mercy route is started by frisk who is scared when faced by monsters attacking them
And then chara, who was aready hiding in a semidepression coma for a while, immediately transitions to a panicked “gotta protect this body, gotta protect my chance to be human, i died and threw away my chance to save everyone the first time, i CANNOT lose this chance again”
And so the combination of both frisk and chara is the genocide run
Because frisk kills in self defense, and whenever frisk hesitates, chara jumps in
Also theres leftover feelings from the whole asriel incident
Because again, ghosts come from monsters who died unsatisfied
And chara’s main source of unsatisfaction is how they were trying to get asriel to kill people before he died and then he didnt
So thats a strong strong feeling ruling them
So anyway by the time they both realize how bad its become they figure its too late and also the amount of LOVE has made them numb
And thats when chara who, despite everything, still has idiot hero complex and thinks they need to save the world
So, while panicking, they step in at the very end, and erase the timeline and delete everything
And also to clarify
They DONT HAVE this power at any other point in the game
Because, guess why
They become corporeal
Just like maddy, the no mercy route is the only thing that gives them strong enough emotion to spontaneously become corporeal
So they become corporeal and as soon as they have a soul again and can reset again, they just erase everything
Ok back to fluff
Post pacifist route, they are still a non corporeal ghost
They can still float around and look just like the other blooks
And it takes them a while to open up about things, but they do end up moving back in with blooky so that blooky isnt completely alone
And also they do way better with a family
Also they can float through the mountain and talk to flowey down below and bring him news
And now that they know about him, they can bond with him and explain that they dont have a soul either but that doesnt mean theyre worthless
Oh ALSO
The other dead humans dont have ghosts
BECAUSE
ghosts only come from restless dead MONSTERS
and chara is the weird special exception
Because they were a monster when they died
They became a ghost and asriel didnt because they were way more restless and stressed than asriel was when both of them died
Like sure, asriel felt awful, but chara was the one who was way more like “this is my fault, i CANT die now, the world NEEDS me”
So anyway
charablook the emo tween ghost and asriel flowey the eldrich goat daisy are siblings once more and they hang out and eventually they are okay and have a family again
Thank you for reading, this has been my thoughts on a crack theory that accidentally went too far
This isnt even everything, maybe i’ll make a part two eventually, but i promised to have this post out like two days ago, so i wanted to post SOMTHING
Anyway leave your thoughts if youd like
Im not looking for people to disprove it, i already know its crazy, i dont think it was intentional by the game writers, but i do think its a fun concept
thats the fun of it, so if anyone wants to run with it im all for it lol
Thanks again! Have a nice day!

hq boys as the crimes they’d commit
warnings: CRIMES, crackfic, probably many typos idk i’m so tired lmaooo, cursing, drinking ??? idfk 😩💦
an: and i did this for what?? inspired by hq hcs royalty @sugardaddykenma @hina-wit-da-glock (AJSKSJ SORRY FOR TAGGING Y’ALL IF YOU SEE THIS, IT IS DEF NOT UP TO PAR W Y’ALLS WORKS ILY)
Tumblr media
karasuno
sawamura daichi- insurance fraud!! somehow this is such a dad crime to commit?? dadchi didn’t try (dumb excuse, how do you accidentally commit insurance fraud smh) to commit insurance fraud but at one point in his late-thirties, he was very very broke and was already working as much as possible so, he decided to fake an ankle injury, as you do, and filed a bunch of claims which made him bank. daichi kept doing it until he was able to quit one of his jobs and buy himself a really nice suit and a rolex (uhhh 🥵). he somehow never got caught tho and to this day, none of his friends know how he was able to afford a tesla on a cop’s salary (sorry daichi but acab 😔✨)
sugawara kōshi- child abandonment!! ok you can try and fight me on this but i feel in my bones that suga absolutely despises children. he can tolerate ages 10+ but anything younger than that, he will punt them into the next dimension. the thing is, people just assume he likes kids because of how good he is with his team which is why his aunt begged him to babysit his nephew taro. taro was being an absolute brat when suga took him out for the day and he was 👉👈 this close to snapping. he put taro down for like 3 seconds to pay for their ice cream and when he turned back, the demon spawn was gone. he panicked, running around the park looking for taro when it turns out, taro was just bent down behind the bench. some random karen called the police and suga has never craved murder more.
nishinoya yuu- arson!! you CANNOT tell me nishinoya doesn’t have a ~murder~ playlist that he listens to to get himself hype (me too noya, me too). one night, he got a lil too hype listening to start a riot by duckwrth and watching demolition videos on youtube. he snuck out of his house to an empty shed like 30 minutes away and maybe... lit it on fire while genocide by lil darkie played on a speaker nearby. what he did NOT anticipate was the absolute size of the fire so he freaked out and called the firefighters who promptly called the police. he didn’t want to get grounded so he called daichi to bail him out. daichi still told noya’s parents 😔.
tanaka ryūnosuke- vandalism!! tanaka had been on alt tiktok and saw a group of cool friends spray painting an abandoned building. he thought “that’s cool, lemme do that!” but then he realized he had no friends (AHDGS JK I LOVE TANAKA). he asked nishinoya who was grounded from the arson incident and he knew he definitely couldn’t ask daichi, suga, asahi, or enoshita so he decided to go it alone. that proved to be a MASSIVE mistake. he got the supplies, arrived to the building of his choice (thanks saeko :3), and decided to spray paint a huge p3ni5 in bright red paint. he finished “successfully” and zoomed back home. what he didn’t realize with his two-and-a-half braincells is that he signed his glorious piece with his full name. the cops were at his house the next morning...🧍
hinata shoyō- forgery!! hinata did NOT think that forgery was even a crime. how was he supposed to know that he wasn’t allowed to copy his mom’s signature on a permission form! all he wanted was to go to an overnight training camp 😿
kageyama tobio- attempted murder!! kageyama swears it sounds worse than was and he is absolutely incorrect. what happened was so much worse. he and hinata were having a competition to see who could hold their breath the longest underwater (you can’t tell me they haven’t done some dumbass shit like this) and kageyma lost almost instantly (he has the tiny lungs of an asthmatic). he didn’t want hinata to notice so he held hinata’s head under the water for like 10 seconds. suga walked in though, saw hinata thrashing around in the water and immediately called the police. kageyama never forgave him.
tsukishima kei- cyberbullying!! first of all, i had no idea you could get arrested for cyber bullying!? that being said, neither did tsukishima who spent 80% of his time making fun of people online (and on his real account!! bold). eventually one of the people he bullied (hinata) reported him on instagram and his very lame account was deleted (pls don’t bully people online 😤).
yamaguchi tadashi- shoplifting!! andjksh this is so funny because this scenario has happened to me and i can just SEE this happening to poor tadashi. yamaguchi gets super late night cravings (and usually tsukki will walk with him at like 3 am 🥺 nEWAYS) so he’ll sneak out and walk to the mini-mart near his house. one night, he was so tired but also super hungry so he went onto his nightly routine and basically sleepwalked into the store. he picked out his favorite chips and candy bar (which are sour cream&onion lays and milky ways in case you were wondering 😌✨) and just... walked out the store without paying. the store clerk was mysteriously missing so yamaguchi made it all the way home, ate half the bag of chips and passed out without realizing what he’d done. once he did, he cried for 2 hours straight.
nekoma
kuroo tetsurō- telemarketing fraud!! kuroo originally did telemarketing fraud as a joke?? like he was trying to prank call someone pretending that they had lost their information and they actually gave it to him??? he was mildly concerned but even more excited. he did it over and over again but he never used the info for anything. to this day, kuroo literally has a notebook full of credit card numbers and bank account passwords but he refuses to use it because he believes it’s ✨wrong✨(but it isn’t wrong to take all that information in the first place under false pretenses, not realizing that once people find out, they are forced to close credit cards and accounts but go off self righteous king). once he brought the book up to kenma and he offered to sell it on the dark web. now kuroo feels less bad about what he’s done! :D
kozume kenma- computer crime!! pfttt this one seems kinda obvious but what do you expect from kenma :). he spends so much time on the internet, he’s definitely picked up some less than legal skills that still help him now 👀. kenma did little mini crimes like getting into other people’s wifi but his crowning achievement was when he hacked into the minneapolis pd website and had it so when you opened the page, a black lives matter screen came up. he never told anyone that it was him who did it but he thinks it’s the best he’s ever done.
yaku morisuke- racketeering!! yaku, the feral king, ran an underground gambling ring in the basement of nekoma (do they have basements?? who knows! i don’t!) during his third year. the only reason it didn’t get shut down was because coach nekomata took a portion of yaku’s profits whenever he won (which was literally all the time). everyone on the team has lost money to him which is why they never play with him anymore. they won’t even let yaku play monopoly 😔.
haiba lev- indecent exposure!! poor lev’s head is so empty, he tends to fall for whatever pranks his senpai’s do to him. this time kuroo had somehow convinced him that in order to grow his schlong, he had to run outside naked for 10 minutes because the moonlight had special growing properties. lev was a lil scared ngl because he was already superrr tall and didn’t need to grow his height (or his dick ((boy is hung)) but poor lev is insecure) but he did it anyway. long story short, an old woman saw him parading around the neighborhood naked and called el policia. 0/10 dick did NOT grow and had to spend a night in jail naked 😿
aoba johsai
oikawa tōru- prostitution!! KAKKAKA iwazumi made fun of oikawa for being so shitty and said that he couldn’t pick up anyone if he tried. flattykawa took this as a personal challenge and went out onto the street, asking people if they’d have sex with him. with the way he was asking (and the way he was dressed), people assumed he was a paid w h o r e and someone eventually reported him. iwazumi had to pick oikawa up from the station- he never let him live this one down.
iwaizumi hajime- battery!! it wasn’t technically battery but oikawa is a lil bitch and overreacts (at least in his words -_-). the amount of times iwa-chan has beat the absolute shit out of oikawa is uNREAL. he just can’t handle the stupidity sometimes so he just smacks the crap outta him. not for real for real but the way oikawa reacts, you’d think a murder was occurring. one time, shittykawa screeched so loud, they got a noise complaint -_- hajime hates it in these streets.
matsukawa issei & hanamaki takahiro- conspiracy!! issei and hiro have a secret blog where they discuss conspiracy theories and such but one day, hiro found an article that explained how jfk’s death was an inside job. he sent it to issei who began to theorize how HE’D do it. that devolved into a massive thread on their blog of how’d they murder a president which blew up and caught the attention of the cia who sent the a letter telling them to quietly delete the blog. they did because they were terrified but they kept the letter and now it’s framed in issei’s apartment.
kyōtani kentarō- assault!! baby is an angry little boy but for all the right reasons. he was at a bar (when he’s all grown up, duh) and he spotted an absolute drunk creep hitting on a girl who clearlyyyy did not reciprocate his feelings. kyōtani, being the respectful king that he is, went over to the guy, pulled him by the jacket and beat. the. shit. out of him. while the bartender was happy with the fact that the creep was out, he was not impressed with the damage to his bar. he just sent kyōtani out who casually adjusted his leather jacket and rings, and hopped on his motorcycle to ride away into the night. i am the FATTEST simp for this man ONG 🥴
shiratorizawa
ushijima wakatoshi- stalking!! poor ushijima has no idea how intimidating he can be. he was on a train late at night after practice and the woman sitting across from him left her purse sitting on the seat. being the gentleman that he is, he took the purse and followed her to return it. the only problem is that the closer he got, the faster she ran and when he tried to speak (yknow with his scary, deep, baritone voice), the woman screeched and called the cops on him because he was a “strange, big man who was following her home.” when the police showed up, ushijima was painfully confused and just held up this tiny ass purse in his massive hands. the cops laughed.
tendō satori- ???!! no one knows what crimes (or how many 😳) tendō has committed but each of his teammates have different ideas- ushijima: “i don’t believe tendou is capable of committing any sort of felony. well, maybe murder”; semi: “of COURSE he’s capable of crimes??! do you know how many times i’ve seen him come into the dorm with a suspicious stain of red on his sweater?? *shudders* if i end up dead, tendō did it...” in actuality, the only crime tendō has committed is ~drugs~ but he’s not bouta tell his friends that.
goshiki tsutomu- would be a VICTIM!! my baby tsutomu would NEVER commit a crime!!! i love this man with my everything and the only crime he’s committed is being too damn cute 😤🥺

lust sans belongs in the bad gays group and here's three reasons why (with evidence) ((NOT CLICKBAIT))
ok i lied about the evidence but listen. i have thoughts and feelings about this and you all get to be dragged along. this is a long post.
DISCLAIMER: THESE ARE HEADCANONS. i do base many of my headcanons off of their canons, but i am not proclaiming anything to be canon or not since none of these characters belong to me; i am just having fun with them.
1.) lust is an outcast among the multiverse sanses - this is due to a cultural underlust thing, NOT a "sexual purity" thing because we do Not stan that here
the story of underlust is one of underpopulation and a continuous aphrodisiac heat curse. due to this, i'd bet MONEY that the underlust culture is wildly different than any of the other AUs. we're talking more solitary lives (less people around; more people alone, leads to loneliness and the NEED to be around someone, not even counting the heat curse), we're talking frequent hookups on the spot being considered normal, we're talking people who probably have very different ways to interpret social cues - aka, interpreting implied consent (which is a real thing and a huge problem in some places).
and i bet u that because of this, lust ACCIDENTALLY comes onto a lot of his alternate selves without realizing because his culture is so so different than theirs.
he's avoided because of this. he's an outcast. he makes them uncomfortable, even though he doesn't try to. he knows they're uncomfortable around him, but he doesn't know how to fix it.
this is where nightmare comes in.
2.) nightmare takes in those who are shunned (like he was), and lust is no exception.
for fucks sake y'all, his freaking NAME is "lust". i bet you he didn't even pick it out - could you imagine being named after something so normal in your culture, something you had no control over, just because it's not like that in other cultures? that'd be like naming horror "cannibalism".
imo, him getting named "lust" was literally just another way to shun and isolate him from the other multiversal sanses.
and nightmare knows what it's like to be shunned by everyone around you for something you can't control. big headcanon is that that's the reason why he takes in so many of the "bad" sanses in the first place.
3.) he would 100% fit right in
"how the fuck would sexy man fit in with the murderers??" well i will tell you one thing they have nothing to do with each other so you can put your poor little sexual purity mindset to rest and also get it out of here bc again we do not vibe with that
let me lay it out for you
horror comes from an AU where resources are dwindling. food is scarce, people are succumbing to cannibalism madness, it's messy and horrible and the culture of horrortale is a lot different than any other AU. horror would definitely understand lust's situation the most - he's shunned for similar reasons.
cross comes from an AU where he's one of many royal guards. im sure u all keep up with xtale and underverse, but lets say that in this, the events of underverse never happened after X. he's not so much culturally different as he is traumatized - he just lost his whole family and his entire AU, he's forcibly joined to a vengeance seeking spirit who he thinks is power-hungry and insane (xchara), and after X and before meeting Ink, he's practically hopeless. a perfect magnet for nightmare to find him. nightmare offers him safety and peace, and cross, tired of it all, agrees. the x-event never comes to pass. ((i'm laying all this out because i often see cross included in the bad squad with no explanation @ underverse, so this is how i figure it goes - underverse just never happens in these timelines))
ANYWAYS cross is traumatized, and though i think he and lust would be rocky at first, they'd eventually get along and understand each other; they'd just need some time to do that.
dust is from a timeline where chara commits genocide run after genocide run, and dust is driven to kill everyone in an attempt to beat chara - this leaves him in an empty world with a guilt formed hallucination of his brother. he is Also traumatized. i feel like he and lust would get along; the lack of feeling like there was any other choice is probably a huge thing that helps them connect.
killer is from a timeline similar to dust's, except instead of fighting against chara, killer joins chara after what are probably years of them resetting and asking him to join them. killer is traumatized, he's a bit not right in the head, but with chara out of the way and him with nightmare, i feel like he's pretty chill, a lot like his old self. i feel like he'd see lust and they'd honestly be best friends - they both have the same sort of laid back attitude. they'd fit like puzzle pieces.
error is a quirky, stupid little man baby with way too much power. nightmare didn't take him in; error just showed up one day and the bad gays simply got used to him showing up - i bet there was at least one point where error showed up, killer proclaimed that cross had gotten error "some of that chocolate shit he likes" and error immediately bolted to cross and held out his hands (and yeah, cross did get extra just for the next time error showed up). i think error and lust would honestly clash the most, what with lust's culture being "overly touchy" and error's blatant fear of touch. once lust realizes he can't do that kinda stuff with error though, they'd definitely be able to get along. lust probably bribes error with gifts and shit.
and finally, nightmare. i feel like they'd get along from the start; lust has a penchant for dramatics and nightmare's open to new ideas. lust and nightmare bonding over being absolute queens is something i will never let go of.
im saying that because they're all outcasts, they all figure they better stick together, and lust would fit right in with them.
then they help lust pick out a different name for himself and they all decide on "hearts" for him and then they all Kiss

What do you think of sizzlor?
It’s time for an unpopular opinion!
I actually don’t think Sizz-Lorr is a bad guy. Yes, he was very abusive towards Zim and while that wasn’t right, I can kind of understand.
I love Zim with every beat of my heart but he did nearly destroy Irk and accidentally killed two Tallest, so it makes sense that his people would be upset with him.
Hell, Sizz-Lorr even outright says “You’re here as punishment for almost annihilating our civilization!”
Since being sent to Foodcourtia is a punishment, it’s probably gonna suck to work there.
Also I’m pretty sure Zim is considered to be an insanely dangerous criminal at this point.
So you kind of have to be rough with someone who nearly committed mass genocide, even if it was by accident.
Despite being considered a dangerous criminal, it seemed like Sizz-Lorr did give Zim a break at one point.
I mean he was seen watching TV and that’s how he escaped and ran off to crash The Great Assigning.
So I think Sizz-Lorr has some morals.
He also gives his actual employees breaks and it seems that they can leave the restaurant whenever Sizz-Lorr says it’s ok.
I think Sizz-Lorr kind of understands what it feels like to be constantly abused and treated like shit since he’s probably had to endure that sort of crap for as long as he worked at Foodcourtia.
So I think part of him feels sorry for his actual employees and he tries to treat them as well as he’s allowed to.
Also, I think food service drones are programmed to be somewhat polite to strangers since they could be potential customers.
Hell, he even apologized for smashing a hole through the Skool ceiling when he came to get Zim.
Also, as someone who worked in food service, let me tell you, customers are fucking assholes sometimes! I salute all food service workers, good god!
If I had to be trapped for 20 years on a planet full of angry customers berating me with no help I’d be pissed too!
So I kind of understand why he was tormenting Zim so much.
Like, imagine being left to suffer by the most dangerous criminal on the planet.
Still though, I don’t think that Sizz-Lorr is a bad guy for what he did.
If anything he was just doing his job and getting revenge on the guy who left him to rot.
I actually have some interesting ideas for him and I’m more than willing to write for him!

Double standards where Lena is concerned. She can't win.
I find a lot of opinions about Lena to be so hypocritical, honestly it's like 'pick a lane!'
1. People say that Lena is selfish because she and Kara only ever talk about her issues. But then when Kara does have issues and Lena tries to talk to her about them Kara rejects her. (Ie after Mon El left)
These same people say that Lena is selfish for NOT telling Kara every time she decides to work on something.
So which is it? Because you can't have it both ways. Lena can't be selfish for talking to Kara about what's she's doing but also be selfish for not telling her what she's doing.
2. People say that Lena is Xenophobic because she made an alien detection device in ONE episode which we only ever saw again when she used it on Rhea. Oh and because she thinks humans should be able to fight bad aliens that ALWAYS show up, and people like the COL and shouldn't have to rely only on the good graces of Supergirl and her few friends. She also had Kryptonite to PROTECT the world from Reign and to protect Sam from herself.
But then Lena saves all the aliens of National City, Supergirl, Sam, builds a statue of Supergirl, works with Supergirl, makes image inducors tech to protect aliens, protects Supergirl, condemns her mothers and brothers actions, makes Harun El to keep Argo City alive, saves Argo City from Lex and then shoots her own brother to keep him from murdering and terrorizing aliens and humans alike.
So which is it? Because you can't have to both ways.
3. People say that Lena is a cold blooded murderer that kills kids. Because she shot Corbin, Lex , accidentally killed Adam and was going to shoot Edge.
But Corbin was going to kill Alex and was trying to kill Lena. She shot Corbin when he had a gun to Alex's head, even Kara isn't faster than a gun touching Alex's head. So you would prefer her to have just let the guy kill Alex? To ignore the guy trying to kill her? She shot an unarmed Lex because he was an insane, murdering, evil man who wanted to commit genocide and would never stop and was essentially Hitler 2.0. But you would have preferred she turn him in only to have him escape again and try to kill her and everyone else again? For the record, Adam was not an unaware kid. He was well aware of what was happening, he was NOT a kid and he convinced Lena to go ahead. Lena shouldn't have gone ahead, but that's not cold blooded murder. She also went to kill Edge, a man who was ACTUALLY trying to kill children.
So which is it? Lena uses a gun to save lives and she's a murderer, she uses a gun to kill those that are about to kill others and she's a murderer, someone accidentally dies from her experiments and she's a murderer, oh and she prevents genocide more than once and she's a murderer?? It can't be both (or all).
4. It's also completely glossed over that Kara, Jonn and Alex have all killed people for whatever reason, some unnecessarily. But they get off Scott free whereas Lena is a murderer.
You can't have it both ways, the Superfriends can't be allowed to kill but Lena isn't.
5. Lena is condemned for being pro gun, not just by haters but by characters such as James.
But Alex essentially has a love affair with her gun and it's seen as awesome and bad ass not just by the audience but people like James.
So which is it? Guns are good or bad? Because it can't be both based on preference of character.
6. People condem Lena for talking about her Luthor origins.
But Mon El was allowed to talk about how crap his family were, Kara is allowed to talk about how crap her family was, Winn is allowed to talk about his crap family, Brainy is allowed to talk about his crap family, even Alex is allowed to talk about how crap her dad is. I bet Jonn is going to be allowed to talk about how crap his bother is going to be.
So which is it? You're either allowed to talk about a crap family or you're not. It can't be one rule for Lena and another for others.
6. Lena is condemned for not telling Kara all her secrets.
But apparently Kara is entitled to keep all of hers?
Well which is it? It can't be one rule for Lena and another for Kara.
7. Lena is condemned still for helping Rhea. She's blamed for the Daxamite invasion and Mon El having to leave.
But let's take a look back, Lena may have been tricked into opening a gate, but she ISN'T the reason Rhea chose to invade. That was all Mon El and Kara. Remember Rhea only wanted to take Mon El back to Daxam and rebuild. She had no interest in Earth at all. Mon El made a half assed protest against slavery and as soon as he was rebuked and told he would spend a few years in a cell he immediately gave up his protest and decided being with Kara and enjoying life on Earth was way more appealing. Even Kara who was supposedly against Slavery and even had a go at Rhea about it during dinner didn't even try to convince Mon El to go and help his people. She immediately wanted him to stay with her, regardless of the difference he could have made. It was Mon Els rejection and the fact that Kara was Kryptonian that drove Rhea to want to invade Earth. Lena had bugger all to do with that. If Kara had been honest with Lena she would have known that Rhea was Mon Els mother and not to trust her.
So which is it? Is she the whole reason the Daxamites invaded? Or are you going to acknowledge Kara and Mon Els part in it?
8. Lena is condemned for making Kryptonite to protect Sam, keep her contained so Reign didnt kill anyone else. No intention of it being anywhere near supergirl at any time.
But Alex shoots Kara out of the sky with Kryptonite bullets in the first episode but that's OK? Jonn owns a Kryptonite knife he really liked and that's OK? Jonn carried Kryptonite cuffs so he can use them on Kara but that's OK? The DEO stock piles Kryptonite Kara is well aware of and that's OK? There's a Kryptonite room in the DEO and that's OK? Alex kills Astra with a Kryptonite sword but that's OK?
So which is it? All those Kryptonite issues were meant to be in contact or hurt Kara in some way. Lena is actually the only one to be in possession of it without any intention of it hurting or coming into contact with Supergirl in any way.
9. Lena is accused of talking advantage of Kara.
But it's actually Kara that takes advantage of Lena since they first met. It's Kara who went asking about Roulette, it's Kara who used her all access privilege to try to trick Lena into giving up info about her mother. It's Kara who ignored Lena and then Immediately went to her to save Cat Co, then when Lena has spent millions on it rejected her again. It was Kara who thought she could take advantage of Lena as her boss and didn't think she had to follow the rules. It was Kara and Alura that used Lena to make Harun El for Argo City. It was also Kara who used Lena's personal relationships to betray her trust.
So yeah, Lena doesn't take advantage of Kara, she wants to be around Kara, gives Kara pretty much anything she wants and instantly let's things go. (unfortunately I think that part has ended).
10. Lena is hated because she told Kara off at work and set up meetings without James.
Well Kara thought she could do whatever she wanted, repeatedly ignored requests from her new boss, let her personal life interfere with her job, had a go at her boss who was patient and even offered understanding and more time off. You can only disrespect your boss so much before they have to pull rank on you, friend or family. Lena also instantly forgave Kara and offered up more understanding. As for James, he was shocked Lena even showed up, no she doesn't have to tell him. This was her new company, best to turn up and see what's its really like, than phone ahead and see what people want you to see. She was probably also aware Olsen didn't like her. She was well within her rights to set up a meeting to get to know her staff without them being briefed by James, a guy who didn't like her. James was also beyond disrespectful and acted like her opinion didn't matter at work while they were dating to the point she stopped coming to Cat Co.
So which is it? Is she selfish and taking advantage of Kara and James when they are disrespectful to her at work ? Or is she allowed to put them in their place since she is their boss. Bare in mind, Lena only pulls rank when she is pushed to the absolute limit. It's also totally fine when Cat treats everyone especially Kara like garbage, but Lena the understanding best friend is bad??
11. Lena is condemned for working with the government/DEO on her super serum.
But when Jonn, Alex, Kara, Brainy, Winn, etc all worked for the DEO that was absolutely fine. Even James stuck his nose in consistently at the DEO but then when Lena was actually wanted there he basically threatened to break up with her. Remember the DEO pre- Col Haley, still wasnt the best place . Since season one it locked up aliens without trial. Pre that Alex was against all aliens save for Kara. But when Lena is asked to come and help, and works ALONGSIDE both Brainy and Alex, she is still the ONLY one to be condemned.
So which is it? Lena can't be the only bad one for working with the DEO when she was working alongside Alex and Brainy and EVERYONE at some point has worked with the DEO.
12. Lena is always condemned for making Harun El and accused of stealing it.
Lena didn't steal Harun El, she made it. Haters never acknowledge the fact that Lena made more to help with Sam or even the huge deal that was her saving Argo City from extinction or even that she managed to do something in a week an advanced society of alien scientists couldn't figure out. But when she realises that Harun El that she has manufactured could benefit the human race and probably cure Cancer she's told she can't have it because Alura and Kara say so?? If Kara and Alura had got off their high Kryptontian horses Lena wouldn't have had to lie or rather not inform them that she intended to use Harun El. They didn't want it used because THEY didn't understand the full uses of it, something Lena got closer than Argo did at figuring out. You dont stop studying something because you don't know it's potential. That's the whole point of science.
So which it? Is Lena bad for making Harun El and saving Argo , basically curing cancer etc? Is she bad for thinking humans deserve the same chances that Argo has? Is she bad for using a substance she figured out how to make? Is she bad for thinking humans could have super powers? Something that wasn't even her original intent. Is she bad that she DID tell her ideas to the Superfriends and they rejected it so she didn't bother mentioning it again until she nearly had it sorted. Do you know who else worked on the Harun El? Alex and Brainy did.
13. Lena was an evil murderer for shooting an unarmed Lex.
But apparently she's also evil and stupid for saving Lex when he had Cancer.
So which is it? She's can't be bad for both those things.
I could write more but that's enough. Can anyone think of anymore??

on a lighter note 4.10 is probably one of my favorite episodes in the entire series...i did re-stan arthur for like ten minutes near the end...it was So Good. a cut because i talked for so long about how good it is:
first of all i love that the episode opens with everyone giving elyan shit not because i dislike elyan (i love him he does not deserve to be the butt of jokes) but because i like that as far as this group of guys goes their primary form of affection is roasting each other. that’s toxic masculinity! it’s also a little charming
when i first watched this episode i thought the reason arthur looked so spooked at the shrine was that it was spooky and potentially magic and he’s not down with magic. rewatching it now that i Know has me screaming into my hands!!! when he first catches sight of it he looks as though he’s seen a ghost and watching his slow creeping recognition is like. mm. really good. good stuff
(as an aside: i’m not talking about it: but if i was: merlin calling arthur nothing but sire during this ENTIRE EPISODE as a form of rebellion because he’s still pissed about gwen is a whole ass mood. i have never loved merlin so much as i did when he was gwen’s only friend and stuck up for her and stuck his neck out for her REPEATEDLY despite knowing it could cost him)
gwaine talking about salt circles made me nostalgic for a different show :’)
arthur with stew in his hair is what he deserves
i was VERY MAD AT HIM for this WHOLE EPISODE so when (possessed) elyan was trying to kill him i was all YEAH BABE CMON GO RIGHT FOR THE NECK but then arthur USED HIS FOOTSTOOL AS A SHIELD and effectively fought off an ARMED ATTACKER while TOTALLY WEAPONLESS. it’s so under-appreciated there aren’t even gifs of it (i know, i looked, i would kill for some). it’s one of the coolest fight scenes in this entire series despite only being 20 seconds long. my love for arthur pendragon returned with a vengeance and i had a good bit of difficulty shoving it back down
elyan’s buddies all tracking him down and tricking him into surrendering peacefully only for percival to punch him in the face to knock him out. GUUUYSSS come on
merlin like straight up weeping upon witnessing the BRUTAL GENOCIDE that “uther” committed there 20 years ago is like...jesus FUCKING christ. they went SO hard.
ok so do we all remember in 2.08 when arthur tried to kill his dad (changed my life......) in the throne room or dining room or wherever that is and uther would only block and not strike back because arthur’s rage was just and true?? WELL PARALLELS because now arthur’s the one blocking and not attacking and i know a lot of it is because he didn’t wanna hurt elyan but also in my heart it’s partially because that little kid’s beef with him was LEGIT!!! and i think part of him realized. we even had merlin running up there to put a stop to it and arthur begging him to stop because he didn’t wanna kill him
i think the plot twist at the end of this episode (that it’s arthur, NOT uther, who was responsible for the slaughter of children at the druid camp) was really good and it makes for a very interesting second watch. case in point: arthur’s face when merlin and gaius are explaining to him that the spirit seeks revenge and the only way to save elyan’s life is to atone. very haunting: merlin says that uther is dead, and he can never atone for what he did now. unspoken: arthur’s NOT dead, not yet, and he CAN.
also interesting: merlin’s attempts to comfort arthur fall flat. “you can’t be held responsible for everything your father did” gets a dark look and a quick dismissal. it’s because merlin doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about
it’s a REALLY interesting dynamic swap because usually merlin is the one keeping his secrets close while arthur unknowingly blunders around in the dark trying to guess at what he’s thinking...with this, it’s the other way around, and i gotta say, arthur’s poker face is MUCH better than merlin’s. when he stews on something he stews on it hard. none of merlin’s horsing around and playing the fool and barely scraping by with dumb luck for arthur: he’s a WALL. maybe this is just the arthur stan in me but it makes getting a look at what’s going on in there SO much more gratifying
i know how this sounds, but i almost wonder if arthur didn’t give merlin extra chores on purpose - the extra chores were why he was up so late, and why he saw arthur slipping out of the castle in a cloak...this is far from the first time merlin’s followed him, and far from the first time merlin would witness him totally losing his shit emotionally (2.08 babey), so maybe arthur was scared of going back by himself and didn’t know how to explain the whole thing and ask for the company because toxic masculinity, and it was easier to just set merlin up to do what he naturally does best: be a nosy little shit
evidence: he catches on to merlin’s tailing him VERY quickly (was he looking out for him?) and doesn’t seem at all surprised or angry that he’s there, nor does he order merlin to go back (his exact words are “feel free to go back to camelot anytime you like”) - if you watch very VERY carefully, you can also see his expression shift just a little after merlin states his intention to tag along - there’s just the barest hint of a smile
arthur looks SO SPOOKED walking back into this shrine. it’s so good. he gets real intense
merlin also sort of shifts his weight back after arthur confesses to his checkered past as a WAR CRIMINAL and like...wow
this dynamic. arthur is kind of afraid of magic and merlin is kind of afraid of arthur’s reaction to his magic. and when i say “kind of” what i mean is they’re scared shitless of each other despite trusting each other implicitly. it’s a lot for me. it’s my favorite dynamic in the entire world
i restanned arthur for this section because he was SO GOOD. he’s really actually quite scared of dying (in the opener for s4 he was really troubled by his supposed upcoming doom and in this he lowkey starts to hyperventilate when he thinks the druid kid is about to kill him) but he’s always jumping at the chance to lay down his life anyway - they say atone to save elyan, he fucking atones, even if he has to die for it
AAAAH his whole SPEECH he was YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED he was TRYING TO PROVE HIMSELF TO HIS DAD he can STILL HEAR THE SCREAMS hes NEVER GONNA LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN god im gonna LOSE MY MIND
like i said aloud going into this “i am still so mad at him he better display some top-tier empathy if he wants out of the doghouse” BUT HE DID...MY BOY...
also i feel like this hug from this kid he GOT KILLED is maybe only the 8th time he’s ever been hugged in his whole entire life
am not a big fan of merlin giving him shit about his lil moment in the end but like also...maybe he was just trying to cheer him up...the way Men do...i hurt
anyway this is like the first sign we’ve seen since arthur’s coronation that maybe he isn’t going to be totally anti-magic like uther forever...the first sign we’ve seen that he truly is anti-genocide...it’s true atonement and it’s Good
and not to give the writers this much credit but in my heart the reason he was so adamant to save that little druid kid (mordred) in season 1?? was because of this, the dead druid children weighing on his conscience. also gives new weight to the very brief scene in i think the s3 finale where he held his sword to a druid kid’s neck in exchange for the cup of life, and maybe explains a little bit why he looked so fucking spooked in there. no they didn’t do it on purpose but why ignore something that’s so good even if it is accidental THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT

Notes I took while listening to Ender’s Gamd bc im a sap & I want the quotes saved for reference in case I use them in a craft:
Ender’s game good good quotes
“The giant had become part of the landscape now, and so there could be no revenge against him”
Fairyland tho — the end of the world, the happy children isolating him — like his personal religious revelation
“Ender knew that lies could not last long in America.” Lol
“If you can’t kill, you are always subject to those who can”
“Why should I want to beat anybody?” YAAAS QUEEN
Oooh he killed B & didn’t realize it— they covered it up by saying he’d been sent back to spain (or I guess he had) WAIT HE ALSO KILLED THE STILSON WHAT
“Perhaps it’s impossible to wear an identity without becoming what you pretend to be”
Ok so val is convinced by the russian politics to make ender do more war
“I think it’s impossible to really understand somebody... and not love them the way they love themselves” (and then at the moment you love them, you beat them)
- awwwww and ender wants peter to love him
“Though he had never sought power, he always had it”
“There is no teacher but the enemy”
The creepy mystic old man character is an absolute delight
Tricking an 11-year-old child into committing genocide is pretty fucking metal (not in a cool way)
“Any decent person who knows what warfare is could never go into battle with a whole heart”
I mean, how thoroughly we transition from a story which empowers & informs the child, where graff asks for consent before sweeping him off to school, to one which bamboozles and lies and confounds
Oooh ender couldn’t go home bc peter would use him to take over the world (even though v’s character advocated for him to come home & locke for him to stay, in fact she wanted the opposite)
“He was much more useful as a name and a story than he would ever be an inconvenient flesh and blood person”
- THAT’S WHY HE DOESN’T REVEAL HIMSELF AS SPEAKER & V DOESN’T REVEAL HERSELF AS DEMOSTHENES. HE RECOGNIZES HIS VALUE AS A NARRATIVE. MMMM WHAT DELICIOUS TRANSCENDANCE.
Ender is the only one who recognizes the death of the bugger queens as equivalently bad as the deaths of his accidental victims
Alai is such a sympathetic figure, i think, bc OSC is a mormon & thus very sympathetic to other oppressed religions. Interesting that I don’t think either of Ender’s parents were mormon either. His choice to leave his own religion out of his story about a world in which religions are oppressed— I wonder if this is commentary or just an assumption about the way the world is/will be— is an interesting one.

Orphan Black season three full review
Tumblr media
How many episodes pass the Bechdel test?
100% (ten of ten).
What is the average percentage per episode of female characters with names and lines?
55.17%
How many episodes have a cast that is at least 40% female?
Nine.
How many episodes have a cast that is less than 20% female?
Zero.
How many female characters (with names and lines) are there?
Twenty-seven. Nineteen who appear in more than one episode, eleven who appear in at least half the episodes, and three who appear in every episode.
How many male characters (with names and lines) are there?
Twenty-seven. Seventeen who appear in more than one episode, seven who appear in at least half the episodes, and one who appears in every episode.
Positive Content Status:
Not shining. While the number of dynamic female characters around is strong and refreshing, there are more male characters flying the flag for sexual assault this season than in any previous, and the show continues to revel in such content with only cursory acknowledgements that it might not be ok, and that’s not good enough at all (average rating of 2.9).
General Season Quality:
When it’s good, it’s arguably the best the show has done. When it’s bad, it’s bad. While the last few episodes end it on fairly good terms, the early/middle portions of the season are a big let-down.
MORE INFO (and potential spoilers) under the cut:
Let’s talk about jumping the shark.
Tumblr media
For starters, let me say this: I do not think they’ve jumped the shark yet on this show. As I’ve noted variously, I haven’t seen the whole series yet; I’ve also avoided spoilers successfully, so I have absolutely no idea how this is all gonna shake out in the end. The return-to-the-start feel that the revelation about Neolutionist involvement carries implies that, perhaps, the showrunners might actually have an idea where they’re taking things and that we might get a deftly-interwoven narrative that impresses and/or wows us on intellectual and entertainment levels, by the time all is said and done. Certainly, I hope for that. There are other revelations we’ve had, however, that instill me with a lot less confidence, and contribute to a concern that this show will turn out to be a lot of flash, and little real substance.
Tumblr media
Another tv show which was heavily involved with mystery and revelation was the great LOST, which I have reviewed in the past, and which copped a lot of (I believe, undeserving) flack over whether or not the writers ‘had it all figured out’ from the very beginning. As I noted in relation to that show, I don’t actually think it’s important for the writers to have everything planned in advance (in fact, it can be detrimental when the show structure is rendered too rigid to allow for natural character or story growth over time); what’s important is that whatever new twists the story makes, they adhere to the internal logic of the show and don’t contradict previous elements. It doesn’t matter if the writers don’t have it figured years in advance, so long as what they write on the fly fits into the narrative in a sensible way. LOST was full of interlocking pieces by design, and so any surprise character connections were a deliberate part of the mythos, and since the story never accidentally looped around and contradicted itself, the mysteries were successfully rendered instead of becoming useless shock-value bullshit with no purpose. Orphan Black is...not doing great in that regard. The idea of secret Neolutionists in the mix all along was the one good ‘twist’ we got as this season pulled to a close, and the reason it’s a good twist is that it’s a pre-established part of the show’s fabric which the audience has had time to forget about, and so reintroducing it now feels clever, as if it were pre-planned, as if we were always building in this direction. It does seem kinda weird for it to be a shock revelation for the characters when obviously, openly-Neolutionist Aldous Leakie was running Dyad for most of two seasons, but I’m willing to run with the idea that their influence and numbers is more pervasive than anyone had realised; they’ve earned the twist well enough on logical grounds that my suspension of disbelief can carry the question. The whole original-genome-is-actually-Siobhan’s-mother thing? Not so good. It’s utterly convenient, doesn’t hold up to logical scrutiny, and worst of all, it’s pointless. If you’re gonna ask for narrative concessions, they’ve gotta exist for more than shock value. The Siobhan connection is just a connection for the fun of it, and that would be fine if it also made sense, but it doesn’t. It asks too much, and gives too little in return, and the elements which allow it to exist on any grounds were only introduced this season, so convenience plotting abounds. Likewise, Rachel’s supposedly-dead mother being alive and involved in the Neolution business is, at present status, just a shock tactic. It contradicts Ethan Duncan’s assertion that she was killed, and Leakie’s apparent conviction that the same was true, and every time I think of a different potential explanation for what the different characters did or did not know in this situation, I think of a myriad of plot holes in the theory as well, so while they MAY have something up their sleeve that makes logical sense and that I just haven’t thought of, I’m not counting on it, nor does it change the fact that they set the scene for that revelation too poorly for it to feel like a real twist. Retroactive explanations don’t change misconceptions in the moment, and a good mystery should never rely on retroactively filling in gaps: you should always set the stage first so that an info dump later isn’t required to justify your twists.
Tumblr media
The Castor plot, meanwhile, was such a disaster of convenience plotting and illogicality I hardly know how to unravel it. I won’t get stuck railing against Paul Dierden’s existence again, but I am convinced that much of the useless Castor story existed only to try and justify Paul’s presence on the show, despite contradicting various aspects of his past behaviour by asserting his supposed complicity and knowledge of clones since the beginning as Beth’s handler. While the military being interested in the practical potential of raising clone armies (hello, Star Wars) makes plenty of sense, it has no actual baring on the narrative that ends up being told, and I suspect again that Paul’s pre-established military history is the sole reason Castor involves soldiers at all - certainly, we can’t pretend there’s any logic in Virginia Coady’s preposterous interest in pursuing the idea of a sexually transmitted neurological defect that causes infertility in women as a potential weapon of mass destruction (which, in its current form, would require her clone army to commit mass genocidal rape, which is a war crime as well as obviously horrific and completely impractical, but hey, this show loves sexual assault AND shock value, so, ok). The last four episodes of this season barely involved anything Castor related, and even then it was inconsequential leftovers masquerading as the backbone of the seasonal narrative; again, the Castor plot may still have somewhere to go, but as it stands it was a total waste of time, just filler and distraction and a lot of build-up at the beginning of the season which ultimately went nowhere. It leaves me seriously questioning how much of this season actually mattered in the long run, and that’s not a good place to be.
Tumblr media
As I have blathered in the past, I’ve been confused about why I’m weirdly nonplussed with this show, and how it is that I walked away from it the first time I tried to watch it, despite also feeling like I enjoyed it. We’re almost up to that same point at which the show and I parted ways last time, and I’m feeling the same detachment again, and I think the prospect of future shark-jumps is a big part of it. The final episodes of this season were pretty solid, which leaves one feeling like they watched something good, but reviewing the season as a whole exposes the more bitter failings, and the sense of a show directed more by dramatic reveals than by character motivations. I have also blathered in the past about feeling distanced from most of the characters, and finding the show more plot driven than character driven, and as it goes on that feels like more and more of an intractable problem. I don’t care if there’s a conspiracy a drama or intrigue or mystery, I only care about the people involved and what this means to them and how they’ll handle it. At least, I’m trying to care about them. But, if the show isn’t actually concerned about its characters and only keeps them for their narrative potential, it’s hard to make that character connection anyway. If the character’s motivations are made mysterious so that their allegiances can be used for ‘twists’, then their behaviour becomes nebulous and contingent upon the whims of the writer, rather than innate to their characterisation. They are rendered puppets, not people, and it’s hard to relate to puppets. From the very first episode, I flagged this show as having a motivation problem; characters reacting and behaving in ways that seem plot-convenient, just excuses to put them into certain situations that logical and consistent human behaviour might not have pushed them towards, and I think they’re still suffering from that. At midseason I noted that Helena is the real mover and shaker of the plot, arguably the only character who makes the plot obey her whims instead of the other way around, and I’m concerned that the lack of agency in the rest of the cast is drowning this show in its own attempted cleverness. I said the Neolutionists were the one good twist this season, but don’t let that suggest that I think the Neolutionist movement represents an interesting concept or direction for the show: I couldn’t care less about Neolutionists. It was a good twist because it obeyed internal narrative logic and felt like it was bringing us full-circle with part of the plot, which implies direction and purpose, but what it means moving forward is an unknown, and not a tantalising one. What does it mean for the CHARACTERS, the ones we’re trying to both know and love? Hopefully, it means something. I guess we’ll find out.

ok ok I'm gonna try to put it into words
I think the key to all of them is shaming you the player for killing characters, the difference is how much of a choice you have
off takes advantage of the style of game but doesn't give you a choice at all, it's either kill all the npcs or don't play the game; however it's probably the least bad because you still have the out of 'the batter never told me this was their goal, I didn't know I was killing the specters'
undertale also takes advantage of the format but gives you a choice to do the right thing, if you do accidentally kill an npc in the beginning you can still reset and try again; and if you choose to commit genocide that's all on you and, iirc, chara directly shames you for that choice (even if it is just saying your choices helped them)
deltarune at first seems to be the opposite of off, it doesn't give you a choice but it forces you on a pacifist run instead, until snowgraves/pipis/weird
snowgraves gives you so many outs, at almost every turn the game practically begs you to turn back and just play the game normally and the run is so easy to fuck up, and not only that, after a while it starts showing it's not Kris making these monstrous decisions. it's you. and as a reward for your extra efforts to be awful, it let's you be awful. really awful. manipulate your character's friend into murder awful. it makes you feel awful for your choice, watching Noelle break down like this, and the worst part is knowing it gave you a choice, a really easy one, and you still chose to do this
oauagaoagaiagsh so many ut/dr and off comparisons coming to mind

fuck you, gun nuts. ban ar-15s, and learn to fucking read, you cowards!
So this person said a few things about the kid protesters being puppets, how banning guns will lead to the desctruction of weastern civilization. You know, normal fucking conservative gun nut shit. Had a person say this on facebook:
“ Hitler used the nation’s youth to manipulate the citizens into giving up their firearms. After he did that he was free to abuse his power and began to commit genocide. It’s literally been the first step in every dictator’s rise to power since. Armed citizens can’t be forced into boxcars.”
AND I JUST... I CAN’T STAND THIS LINE OF THINKING WHEN IT COMES TO GUN CONTROL.
So... I went off.
No. Nazi gun control arguments are just incorrect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_gun_control_argument
Also, common sense gun control is NOT the same as 'giving up firearms.' No one is calling for that. Our nation has more guns than any other nation, but less regulation than any developed nation. That is ridiculous.
Being able to arm yourself doesn't mean you should be able to have unfettered access to any weapon of your choosing at the drop of a hat with few/no limits. If you're that afraid of your own government and other people that you feel you need a cache of weapons of war with no oversight, and are ok with how things are right now regarding our gun laws- you need to sit down and think about what makes you so very afraid- and what you and other's fear has kept in place: lax gun control that enables guns to be the 3rd leading cause in children's deaths in America. If your right to have any gun and no oversight is more important to you than how children are being mowed down, people at movies and concerts are being mowed down- all by legally purchased firearms- and you honestly feel there's literally nothing that should change in our laws - you need to sit down and reflect on your priorities. You fear a 'threat' , and so let actual threats to lives and the active threats of today take a backseat. And no, if our government wanted to wipe you out, you and a cache of guns in a bunker wouldn't protect you. They have drones, nukes, tanks- enought firepower to take out entire states with a push of a button. Your guns aren't protecting you. Even statistically, having a gun in your house makes you more likely to get shot. That's why insurance rates go UP not DOWN when you have weapons on the property. Look up the statistics of how often gun owners and their kids are accidentally shot, have their weapons used against them etc. vs how many times they succesffuly used them to do jack. I say all this as a person who grew up with rifles, learning it around age 8, my mother was an expert marksman and card carrying member of the NRA, my grandfather owned a skeet range, and everyone in my family hunted. Stop being paranoid, wake up to the actual threats to people, and see that gun reform is reasonable. It's reasonable to have to wait to purchase your gun. No one needs a gun in a hurry. It's reasonable to have limits for how much ammo/gun you can purchase in a certain time period. WE HAVE CLOSER MONITORING OF SUDAFED THAN EFFING GUNS. WE HAVE CLOSER MONITORING OF CARS THAN GUNS. What???? Like... What???? Also, the second amendment isn't about anyone having a freaking gun of death that can kill 17 people in 6 minutes with only one shooter. It's about being able to form an organized militia (since we didn't have a standing army then.) Our forefathers never wrote the second amendment for people to be able to have guns that are literally made to wipe out as many people as possible as efficiently as possible. AR-15 rounds have a velocity 3 times greater than a handgun, can spray more bullets with more accuracy than a handgun or normal hunting rifle, thus being a perfect weapon of death for mass shooters. A person can survive handgun or normal hunting rifle bullets much easier than an AR-15 (or like models) as the tissue and damage from high velocity rounds simply isn't survivable compared to a shot from a handgun- you know, the kinds that cops carry. Trained cops only have an 18% accuracy rate with a handgun- with an AR-15 you can fire more bullets that have a cavitation effect (literally rip apart your tissue from the force of the rounds entering you and the shock waves from the high velocity rounds.) NO PERSON should have these guns outside a gun range/war zone. They simply are too lethal. Sorry for going off on you- but I just am too mad about this topic to sit by and let inane nazi arguments about citizen freedom come up. Like, do some research or SIT DOWN, son.

Ok so I wasn’t gonna get into this because I haven’t seen the first movie in awhile and I’m not even in the headspace to discuss character motivations right now, but I think I’m gonna have a go.
The problem with this whole thing, in my opinion, is that- to most normal audience members who aren’t obsessed with all the intricacies of these films (*cough* not nerds)- it seems that Thor is constantly in the right, not because he’s never tried to commit genocide or expressed disturbing bigoted ideals and flawed morals, but because every time he has done these things, the film makers have made it out to seem like he’s doing them for all the right reasons.
It’s like: He hates jotuns and sees them as nothing more than monsters to be slain? Well that’s just because they attacked Midgard long ago, so technically he’s right. Oh, he wants to kill all of the jotuns? Well, they did ruin his coronation and they do seem like cold cruel people, so he’s just doing the universe a favor, probably.
More examples: What, Thor chooses to strangle Tony instead of talking like a civilized individual? Well, Tony did just accidentally create a murder robot so he deserves to be physically threatened by a being much stronger than him. Oh, Thor runs off to assuage his paranoia over the hallucinations instead of staying and protecting Midgard (like he said he’d do) or returning and checking on Asgard? Well, it ultimately led him back to Asgard, so it’s cool.
I have a ton more examples, but I can’t add them right now because I’m posting this on my phone and mobile gets glitchy once you’ve typed so much.
But yeah, the issue isn’t that people don’t acknowledge his wrongdoings. It’s that they brush them aside simply because Thor is made out to be this heroic honorable awesome Good Guy, and they assume that means every single one of his dick moves are justified.
And it’s not just Thor. Almost every single one of the Avenegers gets the same hypocritical treatment from fans. Steve started an entire war and was a complete arrogant fuckface while doing it? Oh, he was protecting his friend so we can argue that all of that was the right move and even congratulate him for it. Natasha, Clint, Tony, and Bruce all killed lots of people in their pasts? It’s fine, they’re heroes now. Wanda literally messed with everyone’s minds and she and Pietro fought against the Avengers to achieve the goals of their evil leader? It’s ok, he manipulated them and they were heroes in the end so it’s totally fine.
I mean, I love all of the people I just mentioned. They’re great and they absolutely are heroes, but it’s extremely irritating when people don’t hold them accountable for their past actions simply because they “meant well” or because “they’re heroes now”. Because how much do you wanna bet that those fans are the same ones shitting on Loki and Odin and others for their flaws and mistakes and refusing to acknowledge their heroic traits.
sb: thor isn’t made of sunshine and rainbows, and is actually a complicated guy who’s done some bad shit, and shouldn’t be treated as an innocent teddy bear
thor stans: is this character hate?
