-the chaos in the ice kingdom has pretty much settled down. the ~20-25% of the icewings that WERENT asymptomatic have pretty much died out and since asymptomatic dragons are 'immune,' they're actually doing pretty good!! snowfall has taken advantage of her tribe's immunity to send healers to the sky, rainforest, and sand kingdoms. renewal is currently rejecting icewing aid

-literally nobody knows whats up with the mudwings. anyone who goes into that kingdom does not come out

-i alr said this in another post but ruby (who has crazy military strength) wrote to coral like 'yo dawg. send seawings to pantala and let them know about the situation' so she sent shark moray and some other dragons and now that theyre in pantala queen jewel and the silkwing assembly were like 'you guys cant go back for now btw. or else you guys might get sick' so theyre just there for now (coral is getting antsy..)

Decided to refresh my knowledge of bendy protagonists personalities/quirks and i can say that i forget how distant canon Audrey is from fanon one sometimes

Here's relatively short list with Audrey character analysis+random tibbits (environmental/gameplay/voice lines)

(I'll appreciate if someone will interact+most of it is under the cut!)

1. Her workplace is an unorganized mess

On the right side: a couple of empty teacups, empty paper sheets, unopened envelope, books/notebooks, a toy ball and keys in the middle of the desk, storyboards that are UNRELATED to what she was working on;

On the left side: donut that she kept close to her elbow & storyboards while she was drawing + to-do list for a day

There's no WAY she'll be able to keep anything tidy. If you hc her and Bendy to have a familiar bond post game, she'll be as messy if not messier. Her home might be a wreck.

2. She easily distracts

- Audrey is working overtime and claims that she has "only eight hundred more frames to go" until the next deadline

But was she actually *actively* working?

She has unrelated items on her desk (listed above) and jumps on the first opportunity to get a coffee.

If she really did wanted to have a drink, she literally has a soda machine close to her office doors.

Some brands of soda do have caffeine in them, right? Getting a coffee looks more like an excuse for a walk.

Bonus point: if you'll stay in her office without getting up (for 15 minutes), she'll acknowledge that she has no time to waste and will return to work instead.

- "Well, the coffee's good and all. But this work's gotta get done"

Worth to acknowledge: this girl has "employee of the month" award and some kind of animation award (boris statue) in her office .

Does she stays overtime everyday to finish something? Or other Archgate employees are even worse at their jobs, somehow?

3. She uses dry sarcasm or makes jokes a lot

Honestly, it happens really often and should be brought up in fan content more imo.

Due to the images limit i can't put a lot of examples with screnshoots but I'll quote some of them.

- "i think you and i have very different definitions of alright" (toward Allison)

- "Looks like he's having a bad day" (about dead lost one with the gent pipe)

- "Ok! Yeah! And that totally makes sense" (reaction to an easter egg)

- "That's one leap of faith i definitely won't make" (about the pit in animation alley)

4. Audrey gets defensive when someone starts to talk over her or when she feels overwhelmed

Audrey either will deny what was said or will acknowledge it by being sarcastic

Prominent example of this is her reaction to Memory!Joey at the hotel:

- "Oh,now you knew my father. Well, newsflash! I didn't even knew my father...or my mother. Or anyone else in my family" (after Joey says that she has "adventurous spirit of her father")

- "What? Are you crazy?... Who do you think you are?" (after the reveal of her being created by the ink machine)

+ Similar behaviour can be seen in her short interaction with Twisted Alice (Susie).

Audrey prefers to keep conversation equal between both sides and when it fails to work, she'll either stay silent or will express frustration (which can be seen with her replying "no" to Twisted Alice and not saying anything afterwards)

5. She seems to trust Allison enough to be vulnerable around her

After leaving the spider lair, she'll try to reach to Allison through the speakers

- "Alice? Are... you there?... Alice!"

She'll acknowledge that she feels scared and after Allison won't sound reassuring enough, Audrey's hand will be visibly shaking.

Allison is the only character Audrey has opened to; you'll never see her being that vulnerable with anyone else

(She is honest with Henry but not on this level)

It makes me wish they had more interactions; Allison for sure was really important in early development of the game.

6. She's blunt

Through the game Audrey is a type of person who says whatever is on her mind without hiding her intentions too much.

She's emotional and rarely thinks twice (most of her decisions are impulsive or sometimes irrational) which reflects on the way she talks.

It's often slips out through sarcasm when she gets defensive/tries to cope but it's also happens in relatively safe environment (for example, when she talks with Betty):

- "Are you...very old?" (Wilson's mansion, bedroom)

This one liner is the most random question you can say to a stranger; I doubt it was very well thought out from her side

7. Audrey easily trusts people which makes her easy to manipulate

I couldn't skip this one.

When Wilson has created a story about his "poor lost father" as a bait and Audrey did believed in this, there are multiple reasons for "why"

This either could come from her being "goodhearted" or the circumstances being used against her

- She went through whole "father trauma" in one day without being able to process anything & get proper answers:

An idea of "saving" another father (Nathan Arch) who she could've knew more than her own father (Nathan says in one tape that he meet young animators at least once) could've hit her really close to home

- Audrey never actually got a real answer on how to leave the cycle, teaming up with Wilson (who was able to enter and leave) could've looked like the only one way back

(I do acknowledge that writing in DR could've been better at places but if you do think about it in this way,it makes sense)

7.1. She is empathetic

I think that this part says everything for itself and it doesn't need to be explained. Thought, she's the one who decide if someone deserves it.

- She felt bad for hurting Bendy on accident & apologized when she was able to

- When she met Allison for the last time, she "gave" her this name, remembering that she doesn't like to be called 'Alice'

- At the end of the game she wants to try to make the cycle better for everyone.

Twisted Alice (Susie) was included which means that Audrey doesn't hold grudges against her (even with the latest one wanting to kill her previously)

8. Audrey puts her arm through an ink container without hesitation or any side thoughts

IT IS a game mechanic and lore wise you can relate it to her being an ink creature

But honestly? It's in character for Audrey.

We're talking about someone who decided to go to great lengths to catch an aquarium fish (that's kept as a pet) and wanted to use it...for a recipe.

8.1. She doesn't mind eating out of trashcans

If you think that wanting to use someone's pet for a recipe is too weird, you're actually wrong. But eating out of trashcan (when you have other options) may be.

Thought, she drives a line on a food that has flies or other insects on it (like "chocolate cake")...i guess in other cases, it's fine to her.

- Bendy seems to be her favourite cartoon character.

She calls him "little guy" in prologue and keeps close to her storyboards where he's the main character:

In the cycle, she acts joyful when she first stumbles upon the real deal.

- She loves chocolate donuts

- Audrey uses dark eyeshadows (can be seen only in prologue custscene. It's hard to notice at first)

- Her breakfast from to-do list are toasts

- She has abstract Bendy painting in her office

- It can be speculated that she's uncomfortable with being touched (or with someone being physically close), unless, she's the one who initiates it

BUT simultaneously, he can also be really strict depending on the context yk? while he's chill, he can't tolerate disrespect like, not at all. he jokes around with his students but with limits and boundaries.

Hello there <3! Thanks for your question! I actually became a Beatles fan back in 2022. After I got into their music, I also became obsessed with their history and began researching a lot about how the band started, how they developed, and how they ended. But the thing was that I never really understood their whole breaukup thing. I always felt like there had to be more to their story than they were telling us. I saw an interview where they asked Paul about this, and he replied, "We had to find women, which we all sort of did." And I was like, What the hell is he talking about? (He also seemed a bit uneasy when answering the question). Then I read that John got married a week after Paul did, and I found that very odd. Then I watched Get Back, and their chemistry onscreen was shocking. The way they would look at each other, the inside jokes, the flirting, and the, "it's like you and me are lovers" bit all made me think that there must have been something going on between these two. Then I read some excerpts from Philip Norman's book, John Lennon: The Life, which confirmed that John was indeed attracted to Paul, although it said that Paul did not reciprocate his feelings (he was supposedly an "inmmobable heterosexual"). So I thought that maybe the problem was that John wanted to have more than a friendship with Paul and that Paul rejected him. I held this view for quite some time, until I started reading a lot about Paul. The way he talks about John—as well as the way he always brings up him out of nowhere in interviews—made me realize that it's extremely unlikely that Paul didn't also have romantic feelings for John. I recently made a compilation of insane things Paul has said about John, and there is no way someone would say all of this unless they are in love. Besides, it's been more than 40 years since John's death, and Paul admitted that he still hasn't gotten over it. If this was a mere friendship, I don't think he would have been that emotionally attached to John throughout all these years. Also, if John had been in love with Paul all along, it's very unlikely that he would have waited in 1967 to make a move.

Finally, by total chance, I became acquainted with someone who has recently been in contact with a few people who were once close to the Beatles, and they all have said that they knew there was something going on between John and Paul based on many things they had seen. And the things they said all matched up perfectly with things I have read from other sources. So that pretty much confirmed it for me. However, I still don't know for sure why John and Paul broke up, but I have my theories. It's possible that John wanted something more open and serious, and Paul, who is very conscious of their public image, didn't want that. When John said, "It's a plus that your best friend can also hold you without…" and then he didn't complete the sentence, maybe he meant that it's good that his best friend and him could hold hands without the world creating a whole drama over it. Paul was always very worried about what the public might think, so that definitely caused tensions between him and John, who was much more bold. Paul wasn't ready for that. Also, Paul wanted a normal family life, which is something John said during an interview when he was asked about the differences between him and Paul that caused their relationship to sour. He said, “Paul always wanted a family life. Linda knows this and has given it to him. The complete family life”. This is an odd answer because why would Paul wanting a "complete family life" damage their relationship? It would only make sense because, obviously, with John, he couldn't have a traditional family life. All this is speculation, but it's what I have in mind so far, based on all the information I have compiled.

it's all intriguing and quite amusing to him

he knows all the LIs zodiac signs as well as his regular patients

would sneer and say ' of course you're a Leo ' without any other context and just walk away in that swift angelic manor that he does

has a vintage telescope that he refuses to replace

if you indulge him long enough and let him ramble on about stars he'll stop and be like ' Wait I could just show you'

hope you're not afraid of heights

Plants

especially the poisonous kind

he finds them poetic in a sense because of Co he does

like to have a small journal about them and wishes eridia had more nature for him to explore and document

sketches flowers when he has free time and might even color them

he's not the most skilled artist but he good at drawing plant life because he's done it so often

knows the meaning of plants and makes/ buys bouquets accordingly

hints at how he really feels about the person he's giving a bouquet to

has given ones with negative meanings to people he didn't like but needed something from, he knew they wouldn't understand and would just be like "oh a bouquet how thoughtful" " yes this was made especially for you " *wink wink*

has admired the gardens of high town snobs him and his bloodhounds have raided interacted with ( he'll take a few home just because )

is learning how to make teas, medicine, poison and lotions from plants for the fun of it and to help others

wants to have a large garden one day

Fungus/ Mushrooms

they just think they're neat

like how could you not there's so many cool kinds of fungus

they adore that such life can grow from death

will rarely pick mushrooms because they want them to stay where they belong

doesn't want to separate them from their fungi families 🥺

really REALLY likes cool colored fungi that glow

I imagine magical fungi exists in their world so they get really excited when they find some in the wild

they go crazy for those really big mushrooms and will stare at them for hours if they could

has dreamed of sleeping on a mushroom many times like a little fairy but won't tell ANYONE ( ok except Kuras but they didn't mean to, got really embarrassed )

if you gift them a glowing magic mushroom to keep as a nightlight they'll act unfased at first but congratulations you're basically married now

Vere:

Gemstones

eyes dilate like a cat when he sees one

has stolen found more than he's bought

has a mini hoard of stones stashed away somewhere in his room

he only shows it to people he really likes ( Ais and S/o )

Ais' earrings intrigues him

Ais noticed and took them off so he could see and was more than willing to talk about where he got them

Vere knew exactly what they were made of right away and wanted to tral them as his own to mess with Ais, but lost interest when Ais admitted he wouldn't mind

would lay on a giant pile of gemstones like a dragon's hoard in his full demon fox form if he had the means to ( would put his S/O in the pile too as one of his treasures )

he'll know exactly which gemstones look best on you for jewelry

Ais:

Animals

like alot of animal facts dude

he has a wide range of knowledge because he can't choose a favorite animal. he likes SO MANY

ranging from the scariest of predators on land and sea to the cutest little fellas ( sharks, tigers, bunnies, small birds, sparrows *hint hint*)

if you tell him what your favorite animal is expect to be randomly given little gifts based off of of it ( illustrations, mini figurines, plushies etc )

asked Vere alot of questions about his fox nature ( " does your coat change color in the winter?" " ...Ais I'm trying to get frisky stop asking weird shit" )

was the type of kid to bring strays home so you can imagine how happy he is about having a pack of soulless

he immediately knew which animal/animals they were all based on and knows how to interact with them accordingly

his love for animals kinda messes with his instincts like yeah I shouldn't pet that large predator but what if he's lonely like me 🥺

is totally fine with getting bit and scratched because he overstepped a boundary and will learn from it

I bet eridia's highborn snobs have captured exotic creatures for show so guess who's pulling up with his red eyed soulless gang for a jail break ( he'd give the creatures to a shelter that can relocate and take care of them )

wants to raise alot of pets with his S/o as they grow old. just one big happy family of strays they've taken in: wild soulless, escaped highborn pets, barn animals, alley cats, Vere, etc.

How are Hinata and Ren as aunty and uncle to y/n and Naoya's future kids?

Hello!! ooooohhh I love this ask already.

Ok so, to make this a bit easier, I decided to go with the notion that your first child with him is a daughter (Naomi) :> but if you want a son just let me know! Although I don't think much would change lol (except Ren)

Ren is the chill/spoiling type of uncle. The one that would have “girl’s day out” with your daughter, braid her hair, paint her nails, dress her up and treat her like the absolute princess she is. And because he can bake/cook a bit, the two will make just about any food she wants; dessert is the same (turns out she has your sweet tooth) although she mostly likes going out and try different things. Her favorite activity to do with him is get ice cream and go to the beach while she's sitting on his shoulders.

Whenever she spends the day with Ren, she comes back even better than how you left her (it'll make sense when we get to the Hinata part.) wondering if she'll be able to see uncle Ren and auntie Kanon (his gf) anytime soon.

While Hinata is 100% insane, outgoing, crazy, screaming matches between the two, who can pull the best prank on her dad (Naoya) or Satoru, (and surprisingly) teach her the first semblances of breaking the rules. Her favorite thing to do is, breaking the rules. As in... staying up late, eating sweets before dinner, that kind of stuff. Slumber parties are oof, the best thing ever.

Whenever Naomi spends the day with your sister, she's going to come back a mess, her hair all disheveled, clothes dirty (ok, not like that, but whenever you see her you know something went down), and already asking when will she see auntie Hinata again.

That's when things get competitive between your siblings.

You're more than happy to let Ren take care of her for a few days (Not wanting to disturb his home too much) but with your sister... oof, you gotta really think about it.

Naoya is a resounding no when it comes to Hinata, thinks she's a bad influence (she is to some degree) and would rather... have supervised visits when she's around. Although he's gotta admit, he'd always choose her above his siblings.

And because why not, let's make a list of the people you and Naoya would trust your kids with:

Would trust:

Nanami. no questions asked. Naomi might find him a bit square, (if not boring) but it's the small things that make her fond of him. Like he'll get her an ice cream or something without even asking her and she'll be like "omg how did you know???" or the next time he sees her he has something hello kitty... yeah, Nanami is his favorite person in the whole world now.

Geto. He's like Ren but tenfold. I think she might develop a crush on him too... Naoya does all in his power to kill those feelings before they grow, but no matter how much he tries, he can never succeed. Geto is just that important for your baby, more so when he brings Nanako and Mimiko along, your daughter likes hanging out with them cause they're like the "cooler older sister" type of girls, you know? She's even told them she wants to be like them when she grows up.

Toji: because of Naoya. see the following list for more details.

Would not trust:

Satoru. He's like Hinata in some sense... but worse. Naomi's first bad word undoubtedly comes from him. Let's say that he's come to regret his recklessness.

Shoko. One word: smoking. Even if she quit, Naoya doesn't want anything to do with her. Can't blame him tho, have you seen the other reference he has for bad habits (Naobito)? Yeah. And you somewhat agree with him.

Mai and Maki. Mostly Maki. They still can't believe that something so cute came from Naoya, yet here the are, taking care of Naomi. Honestly they would be on the would trust list if it weren't for the fact that they often try to influence Naomi into making fun of her dad. And they succeeded once... let's say their auntie privileges have been completely revoked since then.

Toji. That man scares you, honestly. And the only reason why you allow him near your daughter is because... well, Naoya is fond of him and wishes to see interactions between the two. Outside of that, nope! However, Naomi grew to be fond of him after Toji gave her sweets when she was grounded by you and Naoya. The shock in your face when hearing Naomi cheerfully greet him when walking around the estate was priceless. (extra: if her first curse word didn't come from Satoru, it comes from Toji. Only that Naoya would be a bit more... lenient with his anger)

And there you have it :> the whole package regarding your and Naoya's daughter, and the interactions they'll have with some. Luckily, I already have a pending ask regarding Naoya's siblings so I'll take that chance to explore the whole family, as well as the rest of the Zen'in clan :)

If Donna and her parents moved to Point Place, and into the house neighboring the Formans', the summer between 8th and 8th grade: how would her relationship with Eric (Hyde, and Kelso) be different? How would it be the same? How would it develop?

Ooh, interesting. If Donna and Eric didn't grow up next door to each other, but instead Donna moved to Point Place in middle school, I think...

Donna and Eric

Their families wouldn't be close in the same way they are in canon. Red & Kitty and Bob & Midge used to vacation together and be very close when their kids were smaller, it was only later/into the '70s when Bob and Midge started falling in with all the fads of the time that they became 'weird' to Red & Kitty and grew apart (sort of). Hence I always imagine Eric and Donna having an almost cousin-like relationship when they were growing up - the others' parents were their second set of parents/second home, their two families shared traditions, they were raised together and went through childhood together, giving them an almost familial bond. I think if the Pinciottis had moved to Point Place later, that relationship between the two families (and thus, between Eric and Donna) would've been very different. I don't know that Red & Kitty and Bob & Midge would become friends at all. They'd probably just be those crazy new neighbors next door to the Formans.

Eric and Donna, however, would still become fast friends. Their relationship might start out contentious (like it did in canon), maybe based on some sort of misunderstanding, but Eric's sincerity quickly wins Donna over. He realizes she's lonely and doesn't know anyone in town yet (not that she'll say that, stubborn girl), maybe she's always out playing basketball alone in her driveway, and Eric invites her to the basement and brings her into the gang.

Eric (and the other guys) would have a raging crush on her right from the get-go, but Donna would make it clear she only has platonic feelings for any of them. They'd become a tight-knit little gang before middle school was over - sort of 'Wendy and her lost boys' (which is pretty much what I imagine in canon, too). Eric would always defend her when the other guys (ok, mostly Kelso) blurred those boundaries or made her feel uncomfortable. That's how he wins over her trust.

By high school, Donna's developed full-fledged feelings for Eric but doesn't know how to express them/what to do about them. She's afraid of making a move or revealing her true feelings, and their friendship changing. From here on out, it pretty much matches canon. 🤷‍♀️

Others

I think Kelso, Hyde, and Eric would all be infatuated with her when she first arrives, and they'd all develop varying ranges of crushes on her.

Hyde's crush on Donna might escalate quicker than it did in canon - considering Eric and Donna don't have that 'childhood sweethearts' backstory - but I think it would have the same ultimate outcome: Donna tells him she just doesn't have feelings for him like that, but sees him as a good friend. Hyde struggles to accept this - even more so when Donna and Eric start to date in high school. He's hurt by her choice, her rejection, and for awhile he passive-aggressively takes it out on both Eric and Donna until they all eventually resolve it.

I actually think Donna and Kelso's relationship would remain pretty much the same. Ditto to her and Jackie, who would still join the gang around Donna's junior year of high school when she starts dating Kelso.

“I know it’s crazy because maybe it’s kind of soon in our friendship and all . . but . . .” “Henry,” Nora gave him this warning glare that he felt even Raf wouldn’t be able to to ignore. “ . .Would you be my emergency dog sitter/walker when I’m caught in a bind?” Henry blurted out quickly. “Of course!”  Henry sighed in relief.  “Thank you.”  “Did you seriously think I’d say no?” Nora looked at David as he rolled over again to hint at a need for belly scratches.  “I can hardly say no to Raf, you think I’d do the same to you and this adorable little guy?”  She reached down to satisfy David’s insatiable need for attention, chuckling as she heard the happy grunts the beagle made as soon as she started. Henry reached into his pocket and tentatively pulled out a spare key for his apartment.  “I trust that you’ll use this sparingly and only when necessary?” “I will guard it with my life, “ Nora exclaimed as she took possession of the key.  “And I promise to refold everything in your underwear drawer after I rifle through it.” She winked. “I am regretting this decision already.” Nora stuck her tongue out at Henry playfully.  “Oh you’re full of it.  You know you love me, or you wouldn’t have asked. I am a delight!.” “You sound like Papi,” Raf said as he took over scratching David’s belly. “He learned from the best, kiddo,” Nora said, smirking. “I might be in need of your services sooner than later - but only if it won’t disrupt you and Raf.  If it will, I’m sure David would be fine by himself for a few hours today.” Henry confessed. “Noooooooooo!” Raf wailed, hugging David tightly.  “Can David stay and play?  Please Tia Nora? Please? Please-please-please-please?”  Raf turned on the pout and the puppy eyes.  David seemed to get the memo, Henry could have sworn the beagle was looking at Nora with the same expression. It was impossible for anyone to say no to those eyes ( human and canine).“Only if you finish your homework first.  Play after, OK?” Nora sighed as she told Raf.  “Someone’s got to be responsible here.  Your father trusted me with that.” Raf cheered as he gave David another big hug and was rewarded with a multitude of doggie kisses in return.  Henry had to grin at the bond David was developing with the little boy.  It was the kind of friendship he wished he had when he was younger.  A dog like David certainly would have made life in his grandmother’s house so much more tolerable. “Am I ever getting my dog back there do you think?” Henry asked as he leaned in to Nora. “I’m not quite sure.” Nora snickered.  “He’ll be in good hands, I promise.” She nudged Henry gently with her shoulder.  “Not to be too nosy.  But is everything OK?  Us watching David is kind of out of the blue - you two have been inseparable ever since you adopted him and brought him home.” Henry blushed as he fiddled with the postcard in his hands. “I . .um . . may have . .  a date.” “Shut up!” Nora cried gleefully as she smacked him on the arm.  “That’s fantastic!  Oh god, what will happen when Mrs. Schoenfeld finds out?  Will she double down on the baked goods to win you over?”  Nora cackled loudly at the thought. Henry groaned. “If that happens, I am leaving everything on your doormat.”

Taking the items and quickly tying them up in the cloth that the princeling had brought with him, the young woman paused for a moment, her eyes closing and her brow furrowing in concern. With one hand resting on her growing belly and one resting on the wooden table to support her weight, she paused in her task abruptly.   Blaine held his breath as he watched.  Mistress Fabray was a gifted young woman who came from a long line of seers.  He had heard of her visions and how they could overtake her at any time of the day or night. It was why she lived in the small secluded cottage away from the prying eyes of those in the castle. A slight breeze blew through the cottage, setting the assortment of crystals hanging above the window chiming softly against one another.  Quinn’s eyes filled with a golden glow, masking the kind brown ones that often were there. Her body shuddered as the vision overtook her. She gasped out, her voice gravelly and hard : Over hill, through darkened dale The blood flows fast, the cheek grows pale The crown that clatters to the ground Lies tarnished now and makes no sound. The bird that flies on moonlit wings No longer soars, no longer sings It tumbles swiftly from its nest So longing for its heart to rest By waters edge its finds its place Its soul will mend. Alex looked up to see his older sister come through the door, kicking off her heels and walking over to them.  June leaned over to kiss Nora as she grabbed a burrito for herself. She plopped down on the other end of the couch , dropping her feet in her brother’s lap and wigging her toes. “What’s the existential crisis, lil bit?” She asked, her eyes twinkling merrily. Alex huffed at his sister as he slowly picked away at the burrito in his hands.  “Henry’s birthday.” “Ahhhhh,” June nodded in understanding.  “Planning a party or buying a gift?” “Gift.” Nora responded around a mouth full of burrito. “Everything I think of he either owns, or has turned out to not be so great of an idea.  Bea talked me down from buying a polo pony a while ago.” June wrinkled her nose at that suggestion.  “Really Alex?  Polo?”   “I know, I know . . Bea said the same thing.” “It’s just not really . . .Henry.” Nora said  as she passed the bag of tortilla chips to the siblings. in your training wheels AU w rose, jay, and eddie … i think it’s clear that eddie has a crush on rose, but who would end up being the pairing between the two boys with rose considering jason and rose are a “couple” in main continuity? also, love the au and amazing art! :)

Yes, there does seem to be something going on with all three of them, doesn't it? Atm, everyone's just kids, so romance won't really pop up (unless like, for a gag or whatever). Maybe as they hit their teens, there might be crazy love triangle drama going on. Its ok if it does, they are superheroes, dumb drama is the name of the game in DC comics lol. Lemme see if I can get my thoughts in order for this..

Your 100% correct that Eddie has an enormous crush on Rose, just like in canon. Also like canon, it was pretty much a love at first sight kinda thing. As for why, well there's the fact that he thinks Rose is very pretty and cute. But also he loves how skilled she is as a fighter and how dedicated she is to her craft. She can do anything according to him! Even as they grow older, that infatuation never really goes away. If anything, it grows stronger.

It's also extremely obvious to just about everyone on the team (and off!), only question is if Rose knows and just ignores it. Or if she's genuinely oblivious, she's pretty focused on protecting her mom and training her martial art skills.

As for Rose, she's not interested in romance at the moment (she is a kid after all), that might change as she gets older and gains more control over her life. And while she may or may not be aware of Eddie's crush on her, she might have a minor thing for Jason. It's not nearly as overt at Eddie's thing, so only some of the more perceptive team members might know. It's kinda of embarrassing for her to be all 'girly' like that.

As for why Jason, well not only is it a reference to canon JayRose, there's also the fact that in this au Jason was willing to help her out when he didn't even know who she was. He's a dedicated fighter like her, smart, and she thinks he's cute (at least once he reveals his secret id).

This crush is something that develops very slowly over the years, it kinda catches her off guard almost. I don't know if she ever tries to ask him out or anything, once Jason hits his fifteenth birthday, she might just miss her chance perhaps...

As for Jason, well that's just a mystery! But seriously, whatever his own opinions on all this, he seems to be keeping his cards close to his chest. Does he gain a crush on Rose too? Is it Eddie he has a crush on? Is he jealous of how easily Rose steal's Eddie's attention? Or does he see Eddie as competition for Rose? Every member of the Outlaws has a different idea on what's happening on Jason's end, and none of those idea's overlap lol. Just like in the fandom, every member of the team seems to read Jason differently (and for some, just straight up don't understand him).

It seems for now, Jason would rather not think about stuff like that and just concentrate on having fun with friends! He's just a kid you know!

hi! It's been driving me crazy and I thought I'd ask an expert like you. I was curious to know what is Louis's,Armand's,Lestat's and Mauris's dark gifts? I thought maybe each vampire had a different one. Or maybe they get all the same ones as they get older. But it's been bugging me like crazy.

(thx for the compliment^^, but I think there’s lots of "experts“ here :) - but I hope I do make sense.)

Ok, a… not so much tough as a bit difficult to explain one! (Sorry it took a bit longer.) There’s also some meta woven into this, because the gifts do not really develop in a linear way.

BOOK SPOILERS AHEAD for those who want to skip this one.

So let’s break it down a bit.

Marius is a roughly 2000 year old vampire, sired by the God of the Grove. His sire exchanged blood with him several times to ensure his strength. He is also the keeper of Those Who Must Be Kept (or was) and has drunk from Akasha several times.

Armand is Marius’ fledgling, Marius hadn’t made fledglings for a while before his Amadeo, so he got quite powerful blood.

Lestat was made by a 300 year old vampire who had never made another one before. He was deemed too strong for a fledgling (ironically by Armand‘s coven). And he then went and drank from both Marius and Akasha, resulting in a severe power-up.

Louis is Lestat’s fledgling, the third one made (in the books in a relatively short time). Of those three, he is the weakest, at least at first (though he should be physically stronger than Claudia).

Now, for the details :)

Generally, all the vampires have the same capacity for their gifts. The dark gift itself (the vampiric life) comes with side effects: the mind gift, the spell gift, the cloud gift, the fire gift. There’s also an intensified version of the last one, the killing gift, which only a handful vampires hold/held. And of course "true“ immortality, no starvation or beheading etc killing you off anymore. @nijah-archive wrote a nice summary of them here.

Marius At the time of the show (book canon or Dubai do not make that much of a difference for him imho)… Marius has severe skills in mind gift, fire gift (discovered more or less by accident) and in cloud gift. He is closing in on being truly immortal. He obviously knows how to use the spell gift (he has lots of human servants and influences the habitants of an island etc) but does not use them to the extent that Armand does (for example). He is stronger than others his age because of his exposure to Akasha‘s blood.

Armand has severe powers focused on mind gift and spell gift. He is 500 years old in (book) IWTV - and spent most of that time in a cult, telling him he is a child of Satan. Others have noted it, and I do think it is likely, that he spent a lot of his time disassociating, and therefore developing these particular skills further. He can call those who wish to die, and he can trap others in illusions. He is also a master manipulator. When he encounters Lestat he immediately falls for him, and tries to win him over with a combination of threat, spell gift and mind gift, literally hurting Lestat’s lover Nicki, and trying to bind him in illusions, while force-feeding on him. (That didn’t go over well). The show gives us Armand with the cloud gift, and the ability to withstand the sun. Personally I take these simple facts (and Fareed being there, and the sheer fact that there is a MARIUS painting in the apartment) as certain hints, which would mean that Armand himself also got a certain power upgrade fairly recently. EDIT: A helpful anon pointed out that he had it after/since Memnoch, so this should be noted here. It does fit with the timeframe imho. The time itself is not "enough“ for this kind of power upgrade, supposedly it takes a few thousand years to withstand the sun. He can likely not use the killing gift, though it is highly likely that he got the access to the fire gift, too. He might also not be truly immortal yet, sun-resistance or not.

Lestat, as stated before, was turned with significant power (too). Off the bat he focuses on the physical skills though (although it might be reasoned that he just didn’t know better). When Gabrielle is turned, it is immediately apparent that she can hear the other vampires better. Lestat strains to improve his skill (and he does). He can call humans and animals to himself (mind/spell gift). He is also mentally strong enough to break out of Armand’s spell gift by sheer will. Later he regularly scans and listens in on others, and is exceptionally able to lock down his own mind completely (that has been noted several times in the books), and "rebuffs“ others mentally meaning he has significant access to the spell gift and mind gift, but/and uses it differently. The power upgrade through Marius and Akasha (IN The Vampire Lestat) did not immediately bring out the other skills for him (in the books he is simply too young), however it meant that he would survive Claudia’s attempted murder, and what happened after. Marius also showed him the telekinesis part of the mind gift. In the books, the events of Queen of the Damned leave Lestat truly immortal, and equipped with fire gift, full mind gift, and ability to withstand the sun (he tries that one out later, and then uses it for tanning ^^). Over the course of the books he drinks from other older vampires several times, as well as from… supposedly God. His strength is beyond scale, however it IS noted that he is no match in sheer physical strength for the truly ancient ones (several thousand years old). In the show… well Lestat is 130 years older (than in the books). He would have had more experience with the vampiric gifts in general, which explains (imho) why he can access the power upgrade ones. It is noted that Nicki happened over 100 years ago, which leaves a significant gap. We know he did indeed encounter Marius through the Those Who Must Be Kept mention. If Lestat went and slept (as in the books, just longer) then his blood would have distilled somewhat before Marius woke him. (Which would make Louis somewhat stronger than in the books, too (imho).) Show Lestat has the cloud gift and a very powerful mind gift/spell gift already, though it does seem as if it takes a significant amount of power still (bleeding ears and he seems weak after). Probably indicating fairly recent acquisition, which would fit with the show/book timeline and an encounter of Marius/Those Who Must be Kept just prior to coming to the US. His little trick to stop the time is actually "just“ a rather clever combination of mind gift (telekinesis) and spell gift. (As it is something that obviously can come in very handy it doesn’t really surprise me he would have developed it, bc. he is often very practical/matter-of-fact with his gifts.)

Now Louis. Supposedly Louis is one of the weakest vampires. The most human-like. And in the books he keeps the possibility of suicide-by-the-sun as a kind of trump card till Merrick, refusing several offers for ancient blood. In the show Louis says he could hear Claudia calling for help, and he does call out to her, mentally. However she is able to lock him out, instinctively, which indicates that his mind gift is not overly developed. And he apparently does not hear or notice any other vampires close by either (contrary to Lestat who can hear them on long distance). Louis also gets a severe power upgrade after/at the end of Merrick. Show/Dubai Louis quite apparently has drunk from powerful sources, Armand obviously, and maybe others. (He always had an affinity for setting things on fire, so when he demonstrated the fire gift there were lots of "uh ohs“ by book readers :))) However he obviously is not strong enough to withstand the sun and the cloud gift is also very unlikely (though not impossible as of now). As I said before it actually sets the show in a very specific time slot book-wise if we can take the shown skills as literal hints.

So in summary:

The gifts and the powers of them depend a bit on their respective usage and affinity. And the personal approach. And circumstance :)

Obviously the access (time or powerful/old blood) has to be a given, i.e. Lestat in the books only tries out the cloud gift after knowing he has it.

It’s practice IF and WHEN you can.

And, it depends where you put the focus. Lestat also knows the killing gift because Akasha taught him in order for him to serve her. But it’s a skill based on the mind gift and fire gift.

Louis barely has any gifts for a long time because Lestat tries to keep him as human as possible, for a lot of reasons. It will be interesting to see if the show addresses that. Him developing (or adopting) the fire gift with the power through blood is not surprising, unfortunately (coughs).

If we (hopefully) get our seasons we will likely get more displays of these skills, too.

I, personally, like the way they approach them very, very much. And they also fit for me with the adapted timelines. Hope this made sense to you! Please don't hesitate to ask if you have further questions!

I love your otto brainrot. He's favorite person to gush about in this series. I also love your analysis about one of the latest chapters and regarding Otto! ust, chef's kiss.

Anyhow, I would also like to add a crack theory about why otto never talked about his dp allowing him to talk to infants too. In this moment, it very much be because, as you said, he wants Spica to be eliminated. But! We're thinking small here. My question morphs into a more general perspective; why would Otto, and tappei to an extent, keep such information about his dp under wraps for this long, way before these Spica shenanigans? And I feel like the author may want to expand on that regard. Because as far as the rest of the crew knows (and as far as I remember), they know he can only talk to animals. But that chapter states he can talk to any living being (?), which I think may hint to it being a bigger fucking deal than we may realize. Like outside the Louis development, as well as Otto's frustration development, this power in of itself can cause a ripple of what Otto's capabilities are, and to not underestimate it.

So, now I wonder, would tappei utilize this tidbit for more development about Otto's power? What do you think?

Nice. survival of the fittest and things just die sometimes (ottos made various animal friends throughout his life and Many animals have smaller lifespans than him as well + some, such as bugs, are more fragile than him) and animals take actions according to their Nature (even if its. Bad, by human moral standards.) and all that - so i think the double whammy of ottos dp and him taking on merchant ideals is very much partly why hes so insane fr HAH.

A: He can't. It's a blessing that conveys the intent of the other person's words, so if you said something like "Honbaradaratodetta", it wouldn't mean anything. It's just that, if Subaru had been saying "Honbaradaratodetta" for years to mean "What's for dinner?", it would convey that.

Q: About the "Blessing of the Spirit of Words" that Otto has, in cases where the same word can contain different meanings, can he discern the difference? (The English word 'servant' and a servant from Fate, etc.)

A: It's not the letters, but the speaker's intent that he picks up, so he could tell the difference.

but no yeah like........ ottos dp is specifically about Animals and well. humans and demihumans ARE animals. so it makes sense that it carries into humans and demihumans a bit so the whole catching someones intent thing is super fascinating and i feel like he could Definitely utilize it for more of his schemes?? esp when you combine that with the usual ways he uses his dp with animals - his power is Perfect for spying on others and gathering info in general. from my understanding of his power though, animals have to agree to help him, but given he can communicate with them and hes. well hes a good talker and also a bit of a manipulative bitch (affectionate) so like getting animals to help him doesnt seem like too much of an issue usually for him. so no but yeah his power is like. Off the Charts. and now we got big confirmation in the main story that he can UNDERSTAND PEOPLES INTENT BEHIND THEIR WORDS....? no yeah i think tappei will at least utilize it for the louis-spica plot things (ie otto wants her dead so hes just not gonna say anything about how he knows her true intent isnt to actually hurt anyone).

but i feel like otto could possibly use it for plans... or accidentally catch tidbits of info he shouldnt. im not entirely sure how, but. well. roswaal still hasnt delivered on his promise to kill everyone if even one person subaru cares about dies and Now roswaal knows that 1. otto plans to continue opposing subaru and emilia and keep pulling strings and 2. subaru wants louis to stay alive because he cares about her. it seems like massive emilia camp inner conflict is bound to happen at some point hah... the current situation is a ticking time bomb T^T and thats ON TOP of otto still working on restoring the book of wisdom... it all makes me wonder if otto will overhear a convo he shouldnt and catch the true underlying intent to otherwise innocent dialogue. or something like that.... or if louis's intent fluctuates in some way which otto will be Very aware of. if that happens. or if someone else somehow figures out ottos hiding the fact that he knows louis is innocent via his dp alsdjflsjdf. or maybe roswaal hints at his genocide plan and otto figures out the intent???? everyone is at a stalemate atm fr and im fascinated to see what comes next.

Force signatures and the way they have developed a life of their own in fanon! Someone's core/aura being like an ocean, a fire, a forest, a beast, all that sort of stuff. I absolutely love this (it's so so tasty when you need a motif for a character) and I use it copiously but I'm also kind of shaking my fist at the sky because this shit isn't canon, is it? Reading the Plagueis novel rn and the man the myth the legend himself notes that it's difficult to even vaguely sense the strength an individual might have in the Force. In s1 of TCW Dooku also greets Obi-Wan by saying "I thought I sensed an unpleasant disturbance" and yeah ok girl very cool but what does that MEAN? How exactly does that disturbance manifest in ur senses queen?? Can you locate it? Does it have a flavor? This makes me a bit angry bc my canon and fanon brain are like mixed mincemeat on this issue. What is canon and what isn't here I have no idea 🧎🏼

FEATURELESS LIGHTSABERS. No hate bc I know the process, drawing all the fiddly details on the hilt kinda sucks and it's 100% justified for sketches and the like. But also. There's a point to them being highly personalized items and I know what saber is whose by heart, so whenever I see Obi-Wan's being just. A solid chrome cylinder. Or Mace's without the gold. I get a little bit sad
