The past few days have really been Hyrule Loving Hours. He is often characterized as just the soft healer or Wild's partner in crime and yes he IS both of those but he's so much more. He survived a desolate wasteland as a child likely alone. He saw an old woman getting attacked and didn't hesitate to help her even thought he didn't have a weapon. He had no instructions, just a general idea of a quest from Impa and a sword from the old man. He was 10 years old when he defeated Ganon without the Master Sword. For six years he survived the Eyes of Ganon on the hunt for his blood. The hidden cult members in Saria Town definitely affected how much he trusts people. He proved himself worthy of the entire Triforce and awoke the sleeping princess. Even if you don't headcanon him having Fae blood (I do lol) he is still a powerful magic user. I may be incompetent but Adventure of Link was hard. And yet even after all of that (the highlights) he still struggles with self-esteem and self-worth. He is soft and he is a healer and he does love shenanigans but he is also so much more. Please, please don't think this is saying Hyrule is better than any other Link, because he isn't. I just see people leaving him behind or minimizing his struggles a lot and I want to tell everyone out there that Hyrule is just as great as all the other Links. This was not meant to be an entire essay but thank you for reading ❤️

Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.

Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.

Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

Dolores makes me go insane actually. Five projected all his tenderness onto her so that he could focus on surviving. She was the softest side of him. He absolutely cannot accept that it IS him. He finally lets her go in s1, symbolically ready to move on from the apocalypse, reclaim some of himself that he lost - except the apocalypse isn't ready to let him go. For as long as there is an apocalypse, there needs to be a Dolores for him to survive. She is his coping mechanism, maybe even an unhealthy one, but he can't let her go unless he was SURE the apocalypse was over.

Except that's the thing. How can he ever be sure that it's over? Maybe he can't. Maybe he's never letting her go.

I don't know if someone already said it but I need to make this post.

I read something about Orpheus not so long ago and my first thought was oh, this is STSG. The metaphor isn't perfect, the parallels don't completely align, but you can see it, the codes are here.

We all know the story. Eurydice died and Orpheus went to the deepest level of hell to bring her back, and the moment before he reached the surface, he turned around and lost her again forever.

Maybe it's just me, maybe it's because I'm too deep in the analysis of their relationship, but something in this myth resonates with Geto and Gojo's story.

They loved each other, no one can deny that. They were young and passionate, and they inspired each other to become better. Eurydice was Orpheus' muse and Suguru was Satoru's blue spring. Their lives were so bright and pretty and colorful when they were together.

Then one of them left, leaving the other in a state of despair. Unable to grieve, Satoru worked so hard to find a way to Suguru, to build a world where his love could come back (despite knowing very well that nothing could bring Suguru back to him).

Fast forward 10 years and so many things happened. Satoru still dreams of him.

Satoru knows about the Prison Realm, he knows this is a trap, he knows he can't stay here, he knows that if he stop moving he'd lose. He's smart, he knows. He also knows that Suguru's dead and there's no hope of saving him now. But when he hears the voice, he can't help but turn around, and he doomed himself (and the world) by doing that, but he has to -he needs to look back. To see Suguru's face, to be sure it's him. Orpheus knew it was Eurydice and Satoru knew it wasn't Suguru but they needed to be sure, they had to see by themselves. They knew they'd lose everything, and they did it anyway. Because when you hear the breath, the voice, the steps of the only one you have ever loved behind you, you look back.

And people keep accusing you for this ultimate mistake, they said you shouldn't have, they say they'd have acted differently, but it doesn't matter. Because if you acted differently, it would have meant that you didn't care about them.

Satoru turned back, and all the efforts he made to arrive here became vain.

This is a story doomed by love. Love is the twistest curse of all.
