I don’t think he’d go that long honestly. I do think that he’d either keep the muttonchops or just go with a regular ole fluffy beard. By the time he’s that age it’s probably mostly white too

Touchy subject

Din just tried to figure out what the colour of the clones' armor paint meant, and why he's never heard Rex mention his CO during all the wartime stories and lectures; whereas he's already got to meet Wolffe and his general and even heard Cody mention his every once in a blue moon. I'll take a bit of your time to give a bit of an explanation why I decided to put Rex in Skelly's spot:

During a playthrough when I was looking for screenshots to use as backgrounds the first thing that greeted me was Zagreus calling Skelly "Captain" upon entering the armoury, or whatever that chamber is called. And that really decided it, let's be honest. Rex is Captain, and that is the Captain's spot. End of story.

Reading "still got it" by qigiined even before I got into watching TCW was such a personality defining experience (seriously, this fic lives forever rent free in my brain), that I really had no other option but to put the few clones that I'm willing to work into this AU somewhere around home base (the covert) - so you can guess where Cody and Wolffe are situated. Or will be, hopefully soon enough. Rex needs to be able to hang out with Cody, that's just how it is. (Rebels and TBB canon who?)

Rex deserves to teach some uppity Mando bounty hunters and other warriors who think too much of themselves a few lessons in humility and some crafty tricks. I think it would be very good for him.

As a throwaway note since we are already under the read more section, I've been thinking about sigils and keepsakes (trinkets) and cthonic companions (I know that over a year ago I inaccurately but very self indulgently designed one for Din, Boba and Cobb, that is not the point now) and while Cody can have one shaped like Boga, and Wolffe can obviously get a stuffed loth wolf (and Bo-Katan a very squishy owl)... I have no idea what shaped companion Rex could have. If anyone has any suggestions and would love to share it with me, I'd be very grateful!

Steve traced Eddie’s scars, long since turned to white. He grazed his fingers over the ragged marks on Eddie’s stomach, the neat lines under his pecs. Light filtered lazily through their blinds and danced across Eddie’s skin in golden stripes.

Steve had woken up first. He loved moments like these where he could just look and touch, remind himself that he’s not alone. He got to see this every morning but the novelty had yet to wear off. Eddie’s face was relaxed, half smushed into a pillow and his hair tumbled wildly out his bun. He’d found another gray hair the other day and made a fuss to Steve about it.

Steve pressed closer and wrapped an arm around Eddie’s thick waist, almost lying on top of him. He buried his face in the space between Eddie’s neck and shoulder and focused on how warm he was, the way his chest rose and fell. Still alive.

Eddie stirred and rumbled out a, “Mornin’ to you, too.”

“I had that dream again,” Steve murmured into Eddie’s neck. The one where Steve couldn’t save him.

Eddie dropped a kiss on his hair, wrapping him in an embrace. “I’m not going anywhere, sweetheart.”

It was a little intimidating, but I asked my new barber to also do my beard today.

I feel like so many shaving tutorials for trans guys only cover the basics of using a razor and it's frustrating not knowing how best to shape your facial hair to suit your face.

It was nice to have someone who knows what they are doing set my beard line (hard to do when most guides assume you have a prominent adam's apple as a guiding point).

The barber also walked me through what guard settings he used on the clippers (you blend your beard instead of going all one length) and how I should continue to grow out my beard to get it more in the shape I'm looking for.

Highly recommend, worth the price. I feel better equipped now to maintain it on my own. His razor cut was also far gentler on my sensitive skin than anything I could manage on my own.
