i have grown kinda tired of all the studio ghibli and totk comparisons bc i love most of miyazakis movies and its so annoyingly obvious that if totk actually took inspiration from them its all just the surface level aesthetic and none of the good story telling

yeah ok we've heard of butch fem ghost which is awesome showstopping amazing but if i may add onto that: the entire tf141 being butches. soap with the same mohawk stunting around in military surplus activewear to attract femmes (or other butches. she's not picky). gaz who– unlike her friends– presents herself as more of a bifauxnen with clean pressed shirts and a nice smile. price who's the hardest butch out of all of them; never shaving, foregoing bras, referring to herself with brazen terms popular in the older queer scene (all the while having the voice of a chainsmoker, so deep it can initially be mistaken for a man's tone) (maybe she even packs?)

I already see some people say that the new dashboard is fine bc tumblaaargh did have a sidebar at one point but like... are we looking at the same dashboard? Are we comparing it to the same old dashboard?

Bc yeah there was a sidebar layout and... that was pretty much it. When that was changed the idea was to give the dashboard more of a streamlined look, whether it was a successful attempt or not is up to you to decide but at the end of the day all you had to do was learn to look for stuff on the top of the page instead of the side of the page

The new dashboard has multiple parts notifying you of the same thing on different parts of the screen at the same time - e.g. if there are new posts you get a notif on the top of the page and on the left side of the page, if there new posts in your tracked tags you get a notif on the top of the page and the right side of the page. It is distracting, it messes with your attention span, it bombards you with redundant information to drive engagement bc the staff wants a blogging hub to work like the bird-site bc that sure is a good example to follow

related to the last post it's like....you do not have to change your tagging habits or block anybody if you dont want to. if a cc searches themself on tumblr then they consent to seeing stuff they might potentially not like--and they can learn to filter their content just like we do.

but you cannot then complain about the fact that a cc is seeing your stuff. it's like. idk. you dont have to change anything about how you use this site, you just have to accept that by publicly posting something you are by default allowing anyone, including CCs to see it. you can't have both anonymity and a public account.

yes, this is your house and they came into it. but you cant kick them out of your house (harassment is wrong, folks!) so you just gotta like. accept that they're your new roommate now. yes, you used to be able to post stuff without the chance of them seeing it. yes, that has changed now. no, that does not mean you have to do anything different at all (don't let the existence of a CC change how we do fandom around here!!) it just means you now accept the risk that it could be seen

Why do I get the sneaking suspicion that at the end of Joseph's route in DD his "talk" with Mary amounted to him convincing her to keep things together for the kids and his social image (because we know how easy it is to get a divorce in conservative Christian communities esp if you're a woman amirite).

Like people are real quick to throw the book (and the rest of the library) at Mary when she's evidently depressed enough to resort to substance abuse and can't even summon the energy to take care of her kids. She's just so very clearly at the end of her rope with all this and it ruffles me that people get more enraged with her flirting with other men while her husband has been going out and actually fucking them (potentially more than once).

And idk. The lived in state of the boat and how convinient the 'oh no we ran out of gas and the radios out!' thing was made me think my guy. This has happened before, hasn't it? Like you really didn't think to grab a backup canister of gas?

And if they got divorced what would she even do, is the house hers? Who owns it??

Nothing deflates excitement for a game quite like seeing the price.

Persona 3 Reload is $89.99. That's gonna be almost $100 after tax. For a game I, quite literally, already own. In it's original state.

Look I love Strega, but that extra content and, honestly, only like marginally better graphics is not worth $100 for a game that already exists.
