turns out I have been doing something extremely illegal for over a year and now I have to call the irs. living in the nightmare realm right now

#turns out you are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to susbcribe to a medication insurance here #and you are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to subscribe to your employer's insurance. which I never did in my previous job 🙃#so now I can't file my taxes bc they ask insurance questions and 'omg oopsies fuck fuck fuck' isn’t one of the answers #I read that I'll have to pay a fine which is ok but I feel like they're gonna throw me in jail and notify my previous employer #who is gonna sue me and ruin my life and revoke my diploma and also kill me #so my weekend is going great in case you were wondering 🥴

I'm actually kind of mad after wearing a knee brace (with patella support!) for 2 days because I just went down for breakfast not wearing it and my kneecap was wobbling loosely in its socket like it's done for years and I could FEEL how wrong it was and just had the biggest "you LIVE like this??!" moment and now i GUESS I am wearing a knee brace every time I go near stairs forever because it turns out it's not ideal if parts of your body have their own plans for every joint movement.

#mad at myself for not even noticing it was weird even though I've known I have the stretchy joints for years now #honestly I need a full like. Scientific observation from behind glass hooked up to machines and doing silly little tasks for science week #please find out what is happening in here #I also got 1 ankle support and out of curiosity slept in it last night #and omg one foot resting upright made me realise how much the other was flat on the bed #when I lay on my back #the same thing that got me diagnosed in the first place #the rheumatologist who'd just told me I don't have cancer because of the bloodwork had me lie down to examine #he took one look at my flat fuck friday feet and like actually yelled in alarm and recoiled #which took some explaining #anyway he poked and prodded me but he already had said 'oh you have hypermobility and it's given you fibro'#this is why specialists also have to keep up with all the other medicines too :P #(i spent a weekend with my medic friend recently and she has Stories oh my god)#(was too busy talking to look at my feet even as I told her I'd dislocated my ankle and knee as we talked XD)#POINT IS I'm very slow to notice things about my condition #I quit chocolate for a year because I worried it was giving me migraines #and was too busy having migraines to notice the chocolate wasn't what gave me migraines

pro tip: if you think you have adhd then don't start a master's program before you even get a diagnosis (also you need a stronger prescription, you have astigmatism, and reading glasses aren't gonna cut it)

#i can handle one class just fine but 2 classes??? im killing myself #im working too so its like i never have time for myself and its just a neverending well of assignments and work plus i hate the schedule #why is everything due at 10:59 and why is it due in the middle of the week but i have to come back the next 2 days and write responses #one of my classes will trade out a disucssion for the week with an assignment thats due at the end of the week and i like that sm better #the other class makes use do a discussion and an assignment in the same week #and usually they're all due at the same time so i go to work and then go home do my homework and then do more homework on the weekend #then go back to work do you understand my problem #anyway my mom casually confirmed that i have astigmatism recently which ???#but my eyesight is fine but driving in the dark is hell and its not b/c of the dark!#any kind of bright light blinds me like it could be a sunny day and i won't be seeing shit for that entire drive omg #just realized that this might be the cause of an increase in headaches wait...#ok back on track: adhd consultation (maybe) in a month and a half!#i don't have a therapist so im hoping my doctor can help? or at least refer me to somebody that can help b/c looking is hard omg #where the therapists at omg #moon posts #long one today because i am procrastinating so i can give up <3

its so interesting as im writing narrative!fic the way that each subsequent draft / outline gets me closer and closer to a version of the fic that is ... true to the original conception? like i started gathering notes and ideas for this fic in earnest in ... 2021, like spring/summer 2021 and only today have finally put together an outline that FEELS like i am really, really close.

actually it's not even an outline it is a bunch of bulletpoint freewriting in a google doc that is roughly in the order of the series of events in the fic. i made a note to clean it into an outline later. but ohhh my god i finally!

like its been literally 4 drafts, i am slightly frightened to count how many words of draft material (probably about 60k give or take 15-20k), but THIS outline! i finally have the throughline of haiji's character arc through the fic, i've finally like .... idk. pared it down to the core parts and they magically (throug the power of thinking about this fic near-constantly since 2021) fit together now. THANK FUCK!

i told my old roommate i would send them a completed draft to beta like. two years ago.

i still don't know how this fucking fic ends but i have OPTIONS that probably will all require drafting out and revising before i pick sigh. but ohhhhhhhh my god this has NOT BEEN FUN but it is SO REWARDING to finally fucking hit (for like the third time) the feeling of "oh okay. i figured another thing out about how this story is going to work. it's going to come together now."

admittedly i said that to myself the last several times but THIS TIME I FIGURED OUT THE JOURNALING AND HAIJI'S WHOLE CHARACTER ARC and there is CAUSATION AND EVERYTHING which there sure was not before ahahaha. god this time i figured out the journaling!!!

and yes this is uhhhhhhhhhh an incredibly personal reading of haiji, i truly feel that my irl friends will kind of squint knowingly. but ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh A MILESTONE!

#the absolute relief i felt this afternoon #also this is fully because i have been casually writing bcsdp and thinking about heist!au and having heist!au come together #which has been WAY EASIER than narrative!fic bc figuring out the story logic of heist!au doesn't require uh.#me to process the first few years of my early twenties and distill it into a story about a whole guy who is not actually me #but AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. A WORKABLE OUTLINE. WITH LOGIC. THAT IS THEMATICALLY CONSISTENT. THAT I CAN SIMPLIFY DOWN TO A SENTENCE. honestly for having thought i might have dreamed up an entire game, my attempts at recreating the harvester video game from memory was pretty damn close tbh
