sometimes I randomly think about the time a girl posted in this girls only Facebook group I’m in telling everyone how she broke up with her boyfriend and he lied saying that he lost the spare key she gave him, only to then break into her apartment when she wasn’t home and steal the cat they’d adopted while they were together, but then he denied having done this and she didn’t really have proof that he took the cat since he wouldn’t let her come into his place and look for it. And then another girl saw this post and knew her ex-boyfriend, and she was like “girl. I used to hook up with your mans back in xxxx and I still have his number. If you want, I’ll hit him up and get him to invite me back to his place and see if your cat’s there.” And the OP was like “bet.”

So this woman hit up homie dog, asked him out for drinks, went home with him, slept with him, and then woke up in the middle of the night and TOOK THE CAT. Like she had only said that she would confirm if the cat was there but then she took it upon herself to steal this woman’s cat back. Like she full on Trojan horsed this man and then hit up homegirl like “I got the goods. Where you wanna meet.” And then the two of them posted a photo of them together with the cat to the group.

And I just think women supporting women is so beautiful.

Meet one of my boys!

Meet Tom! (Tabby Tom, Tom Cat, Tom Tom Tomasso Tomato Sauce, Happy Sack o' Potatoes)

This fella popped up outside my place later 2022, when the weather was starting to get cold. He came back by a few times for food and once I placed a shelter out there he began hanging around more. Eventually he showed up with a clipped ear, having been trapped, neutered, and released. It was after this he started coming close to me, meowing to be petted and even following me on walks to the mailbox and back.

At the time I had 3 cats and couldn't really bring him in, so I kept two clean, warm shelters on the porch for him and we got through the winter. By then he trusted me so much he would cry for me to come out and cuddle with him. Then March 31st, 2023, we had severe storms moving in with risk of tornadoes, so I said screw it, emptied out the laundry room as best I could and got him inside with one of his outdoor shelters.

He took to Dad right away, and after sorting out that one of my other cats was too violent and needed to be in a single pet household (I found him a lovely new home with an elderly woman) Tom became a permanant part of the family. He adores Max and Middy, playing with Middy all the time, and he squeaks for his food or cuddles.

He loves his belly rubs and chin scritches.

I have not been able to stop thinking about her ever since I saw this design. I took some liberties with the outfit, giving her more of a sports bra and biker shorts and a sleeve (I am not sure if it is a sleeve or haki, I am running with it)
