the place i'm staying is a partial inspiration for revenge ranch (albeit in a very different geographic setting). they have a big garden to grow at least some significant chunk of the food they serve, it's run by an idiosyncratic old couple and an opinionated chef, there's trails, and they have... okay, not horses, but llamas.
