SPARKLY LITTLE SPRITE KEYCHAIN!! <3

The "normal type" sprite from the 1st and 2nd gen Pokémon games was my absolute favourite. Maybe because of its roundness... Or maybe because of its incredibly... 'enthusiastic' little expression... heh

So, maaaaaaaany years later, I finally decided to make my own little merch based on the sprite from these super nostalgic games.

This one is based on Clefairy, hence the colour, holographic stars, and moon clasp :] I thought it was cute...

#it’s at least not at all practical because you’re putting people on the spot #and you’re already asking for their money #someone just did that to me like #it’s fine ppl are trying to get paid whatver #but when you do this what do you expect to happen… that the other person will just say ‘sure I’ll buy from you’ out of nowhere???#like just make a post and tag it/ask ppl if they could share it instead #not ‘commission me ^^?’ like it’s a little… lol #it’s nice to be bold and confident though that’s good and there’s nothing wrong with that #I know that it is hard for artists to advertise their work especially if they aren’t popular online #and you have to bank on people actually sharing your shit in the first place #it sucks so bad #deviantart used to be so good when it came to looking for commission work #I haven’t tried to use the forums in years but it still looks to be thriving #outside of the AI shit #in the forums on DA you could advertise your work to potential clients looking for artists to draw their ocs and stuff #they’ll usually send you a note if interested #rambling

someone on here will literally say "encouraging plastic surgery for the sole purpose of conforming to eurocentric beauty standards isn't actually feminism" and 200 other people will come out of the woodworks and chant in harmony LET WOMEN BE HAPPY and WHAT ABOUT TRANS PEOPLE AND BURN VICTIMS as if the post wasn't clearly 1. about womens' self image & insecurities being strongly influenced by the richest and whitest of society and 2. not about trans people or burn victims at all

#ive thought about it a lot and i know the main argument is that it's bodily autonomy and also having it more widely available makes it #easier for the people who really do need it to get it #but like. first of all the industry (and it is an industry) spends SO much money convincing women their bodies look wrong #if it wasnt advertised everywhere and if the expectation wasnt there to look 'perfect' according to the most recent trends #the amount of women getting elective plastic surgery would be drastically lower #second of all. yeah having more surgeons out there means more experience and safer treatments for those who really need it..#as long as they have the money #and for trans people as long as they have money and/or good insurance and/or all the required medical documentation and/or therapy #and at the end of the day you can criticize just part of something but not all of it. i feel like a lot of people forget that when they #start saying shit online. just stop and think and dont interact with people assuming the worst of them!!#when i criticize the beauty industry im never calling any woman who's ever worn makeup or gotten a facelift evil it's an INDUSTRY #it's systemic!!!#almost reminds me of how criticizing the patriarchy and systemic misogyny as a lesbian will get u painted as some man hating terf #i love men! i dont blame individual men for the system we're all a part of i just criticize its existence and try to work to dismantle it #and i know complaining on the internet is like a little raindrop in the ocean but still. it needs to be discussed i think

The vtuber enjoyer community is currently learning why multi-channel networks didn't work back in the old days of YouTube, except in the present day it's somehow even more fucked because the companies also own their channels and revenue sources and IP.

#vtuber stuff #i do love creators currently in corporations rn but there is a part of me that is annoyed that the only reason theyre so big is due to money #money as in start up costs and advertising and merch production etc etc #and then you cant really publicly advertise that channel is connected to you and your work #which is double fucked if you leave/get fired/whatever after some time and after a certain point dont even get residuals #cant really put it on your resume either and since its a niche of a niche less-online jobs just dont count it as experience without proof #its such cool technology (even just live 2d tracking) but the barrier to entry and ceiling of quality keeps getting higher even year #not to mention the power that these companies have over their talents in the way the industry is currently configured #its even more fucked if you start thinking on a systematic level #but yeah the current nijisanji PR trainwreck is a special kind of fucked #bullying and isolating their talent to the point of a suicide attempt? im not an expert in Canadian law but im pretty sure thats illegal #at the very least niji continually calling selens emergency contact (and probably hospital) to make a statement is probably against the law #seriously hope selen/doki and her family gets some legal consult because this is so fucked up #and the way they fired her is also probably illegal under canadian law

What if they didn't put ads every 3 posts. Three posts between ads, literally. Not even counting the ad for Tumblr Live.

Also what if tumblr didn't know what city Im in. I do not want my location tracked or stored anywhere unless I give explicit ongoing permission, like with my GPS app that I allow to track me only when the app is open, and then it deletes the data (allegedly) when I stop giving permission.

#ugh i do SO much to try to keep my location private. i use an android with all the tracking things Off (except for my weather app #which is a highly specific app that does NOTHING except provide weather; and i have the location turned Off so it doesnt even know where i #live). my tumblr email is not connected to any real life stuff because i made it when i was very closeted and made a new email and password #for it and never linked them to anything else. i have bare minimum apps. i use firefox and duckduckgo.#for shits sake i use a small barely-known map app because any Map App that has had large success under capitalism is inevitably going to #start selling private info or working with a cheap security system designed to allow quiet data leaks.#i guess i use gmail and gphotos but my phone doesnt HAVE a native Photo App. i have to use one i download and im too damn skittish to try #i guess i did get netflix recently....sigh.... i figured they WERENT tracking me because they email me EVERY TIME I USE NETFLIX to alert me #that OHHHH A NEW DEVICE IS USING NETFLIX AAAAA WHAT IF ITS AGAINST NETFLIX POLICY OH NOOOO. so i figured they didnt have a way to ID me.#UGH. CAN I PLEASE EXIST WITHOUT BEING MONITORED FOR FIVE SECONDS. can i please access Social Media which is a shitty substitute for actual #human connection but its the best i have--without someone noting my location and then trying to sell me things??? can i please watch film???#i cant go to a theater because my region does NOT believe in covid and not even medical staff attending Very Ill Patients wear masks anymore #stupid fucking homophobic transphobic anti-vax society has made it too dangerous for me to access most Not-Online forms of enrichment. and i #cant even use the Internet (a magnificent ASTONISHING human creation) without being tracked and advertised to.#ugh..#humanity is just so cool and brave and kind and amazing and yet we have taxes and advertisment IDs and traffic and medicine shortages.#its not like the ads even work. even when it shows me stuff i DO want. i cant fucking afford things. i already have spent too much money on #things that i dont need like Good Food and Entertainment and Juice. ugh....okay i do need food and liquids....Good food even. my body cant #survive on College Foods like it could in the past.
