I'm toying with a situation that's between tfa and rid15 (elements of idwg1 of course) in what post war Cybertron is like, aka: bad. Post war Cybertron is bad, and it's not what neither autobot nor decepticon fought for

Torn between Megatron being out of the picture (like in rid15) or if he's here and on the chopping block (like in MTMTE and LL) but in my mind I really really want it to be a situation where people start blaming Optimus for the war too (for the angst)

And it's a *Thing* for an Optimus who just wanted to try and ease off of leadership after the war

(I see a fun opportunity for megop here, an opportunity for "What have they done to you?", and unlikely team ups)

(or, hell. We can go full hurt/no comfort here, and lean into the new hell Cybertron has become)

Face the Past: failed long distance relationship (it was a very "oh. oh." moment for me to realize this xD) The Angel Breaker: covid & society's abysmal failure dealing with it (at least in the US)

TEG was written more as a challenge to myself than an outpouring of pain, but some relevant themes: -the difficulty of emotion (the allure of repressing it) -the pain/fear of acceptance/rejection -the pain of being broken & shattered worldviews -the allure of the happy ending (specifically that I wanted to give the characters a happy ending, which I do in most fics, because wouldn't it be nice to have a happy ending in real life)

Metal Sonic being voiceless and that being played for the horror, but less in the way of "he doesn't physically have a voice box" and more in the sense that he's voiceless metaphorically.

Not only does he not possess the voice box, but he doesn't have any tools to communicate. He's never offered pen and paper. Never given the opportunity to write digital reports except with only the briefest of words. Never taught even a scrap of sign language, as crude as such a communication would be due to his lack of facial features.

of all the satirical alpha-male-protagonists that men who are red flags ironically look up to, the funniest to me will always be anakin skywalker because that man was BORN to be a housewife. padme amidala pegged that man every day of his life and it was a complete coincidence that the once time she let him inside his submissive bottom ass got her pregnant. if anakin had been like 0.000002% more sane he would have become a senator's husband and wafted around higher circles like a proud peacock, punching people padme didn't like and blaming it on pregnancy hormones (hes not pregnant). palpatine tries to get him to commit genocide and anakin thinks the more pressing issue here is that rush clovis is at that peace gala alone with padme and he HAS to go cling to her side and glare and make sure that bitch keeps his hands to himself.

i see mountains of art and comics dedicated to the other singles and the artists' farmer, but hardly ever any to maru.

like on one hand, i do get jealous seeing maru with other characters (like penny -_-. no.) and farmers, but on the other hand i wish people were as crazy about her as the others. its like every single has a dedicated group of crazy fans and then its just me and five other people in the maru corner. there IS a maru love blog just for maru, and i appreciate them.

and then i feel sort of. obligated to represent, yknow? im one of the few black players, i love one of the few characters of color... its so blindingly white in here like everyone move out the way i have arrived, lmao.

i dont JUST love maru cuz shes black, shes genuinely my type of girl really (ppl say shes boring but she really is my dream partner irl!!), but im gonna be honest i wouldnt have ever picked up this game if maru wasnt in it. all the other singles are white in the base game and thats so damn dull to me, white creator or not.

my point is i feel the need to make a million doodles and comics of my girlfriend, but i dont have the energy or the time. i want maru to be LOVED, and show everybody shes wonderful and worth LOVING, just like these other artists. i wish i could just pump it out as much as everyone else does and flood the tags and be known as that one obsessed maru fan (which i pretty much am lul.)

i know im just making it harder for myself. but its always like this in most fandoms im in anyway >.> low representation, feel the need to represent by making stuff but i dont have the energy, i get bummed out. i know it should come from a place of love instead of projection, but. yeah.
